Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 Adriana Petit Adriana Petit (Palma de Mallorca, 1984) is a multidisciplinary artist. Media she uses includes photography, collage, music, writing, painting, and video; although in his work the content prevails over the format, exploring the relationship between opposites from an autobiographical and deconstructionist perspective. The lack of academic training and institutional coverage, place her on the margins of the conventional artistic context, and digital platforms such as Tumblr, Flickr, Bandcamp or YouTube are its usual exhibition channels.

Search Add 5 Solki Solki are Serena Altavilla (the voice + guitar), Lorenzo Maffucci (turquoise guitar) and Alessandro Gambassi (kick, snare & hi-hat). The band members started the band together after playing hundreds of shows with other acts such as Blue Willa and Topsy The Great, with whom they’ve been hitting clubs and festivals such as Primavera Sound (ES), Reeperbahn (D), Elevate (A), Monkey Week (ES). Their music has been described as both fierce and dreamy, sensuous and warm, with strong melodies hidden behind a textile of dissonances and vice versa. Playing together in the China-tinged outskirts of Prato - dubbed “the Italian Manchester” - since 2014, Solki released their first album “Sleeper Grele” in October 2014, also debuting the underground label Ibexhouse. The album was tracked down on a single afternoon in the late summer with cheap mikes and a four-track tape recorder. After an early run of CD-Rs and cassettes, the album was reprinted on 12'' vinyl by the label Ibexhouse cooperating with Swiss DIY label Sacred Hood and Italian fellows Santa Valvola, nevrosi and Astio Collettivo.

In May 2015, XPLCT released its rst solo EP «Train Shadows», this composition of 5 original tracks mixes dark and oating melodies as reference to a decadent industrial universe. In 2017, he released a remix of "Lost Island" for Karma and "Obsession" an original experimental orchestral piece for Champ’Caine Records 10th anniversary. That same year, he performed a instrumental live, for the rst time. He moves away from the stage during 2018 working on new projects like "Exit Road": a EP which contains 2 dark electro tracks. In early 2019, he returns with "Acid Rain": the logical continuation of "Exit Road", with a powerful electo. In 2020, XPLCT is back with Raven EP, a invitation to travel across worlds: an odyssey into strata each one more darker than the other.

Search Add 5 William Finzel William Finzel, a trumpeter, led a popular Detroit dance band during the '20s known variably as Finzel's Arcadia Orchestra of Detroit or more briefly Finzel's Arcadia Orchestra. The group's recordings for labels such as Okeh and Paramount include the 1923 "Animal Fair," made considerably lively with livestock sound effects, as well as a pair of ditties for the motion-happy, "I'm Going to Wander (Back Over Yonder)" and "Keep A' Goin'." While the creative philosophy of some ensembles can be gleaned simply by looking at the titles of recorded tracks, the repertoire played by Finzel's ensemble in the recording studio was less a matter of personal taste than simply keeping up with popular sheet-music titles.

Search Add 5 The Bleu Forest Garage/psych band formed in 1966 in Ventura County, California. Members were Ron Barkley (lead guitar, vocals), Jack Caviness (drums), Mike Cullen (guitar, vocals), Gary Heuer (lead guitar, vocals), Ed Steele (drums, vocals), and Larry Wiseman (keyboards). USA produced such a vast variety of garage bands, that were highly influenced by major known bands of the time like Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix & The Experience and The Grateful Dead. Every little town in the US has been over-flooded with teenagers full of enthusiasm and ideas reflecting the electrifying times, when everything suddenly seemed to be possible. One of the better local bands, that came and went with the '60s fading into plastic '70s were Ventura County’ Bleu Forest. So far only a handful of people heard these 1968 unreleased recordings, which were hidden in Caviness (only surviving member) basement and let me say this: What we have here is a lost psych-garage classic. A crossover between groovy melodies of Moby Grape mixed with Steppenwolf heaviness.

Search Add 5 Carlos Marroqui Carlos Martínez Guevara Carlos Marroqui, was born in Caracas, Venezuela on September 9, 19 ??. He is a Venezuelan singer and lawyer famous in the 70s. "His interest in music was evident from his early years, when he had the opportunity seven years after starting his apprenticeship with the renowned Creole musician Teófilo León, and in addition to singing he learned to play the cuatro, the guitar and the harp. The beginning of his professional career as a singer is given in 1973, year in which his voice is frequently heard on the stations of the time with the theme "You women ... have no thorns in the heart". After this triumph, he jumps to television, a medium in which he also unfolds naturally and ends up becoming a beloved and familiar face, which interpreted some of the great successes of the time, such as "Amor del alma", "And you have left alone "," Campesina "and" Oropel ", among others. His artistic name, Carlos Marroquí, was a gift from his musical godfather, the unforgettable Alfredo Sadel, who baptized him that way before inviting him to sing with him in the now defunct local "El Jacal", a place where he alternated with important figures of the Latin American music such as Tito Guizar, Carlos Julio Ramírez, Martinha, Luisa María Güell and Roberto Yanés, just to mention a few. Although after becoming a lawyer in 1978, his obligations in this area led him to move away little by little from radio and television, the truth is that Morocco never retired definitively from singing. And how could he do it, if in his few years of almost exclusive dedication to this artistic discipline he left more than sixty songs recorded, besides being nominated for the Golden Guaicaipuro and winning the Diplo 73 and Mara de Oro Awards 1974 as Revelation of the year, Espectáculos y Primerísimo 74. In 2014, he presented a book "Memoirs of a singer", of his own authorship, in which he pays homage to national and foreign performers. Currently, Carlos Marroquí is the founder of a fun group for the elderly called "Our songs of always: from the tango to the ballad". In addition, he continues to perform solo with unquestionable success in each scenario he faces with his melodious voice ".

Search Add 5 archeus "archeus" is a free improvised group of Keiko Higuchi on vocals, Shizuo Uchida on bass, and TOMO on hurdy gurdy. Extraordinary trio ensemble of vocal/voice, bass, and hurdy gurdy triggers an unique chemical reaction of various expressions such as sensitive sound within silence, vocalization of a forgotten and nameless language, interplay of discordant masses of sound, the magic of minimal repetition, and dark/dense drones. They also attempt to improvise with text readings. It is as if the words are given resonance, and appear as a spirit, then seem to melt with the sound.

Search Add 5 St. Dennis Male Voice Choir History of St.Dennis Male Voice Choir by Arnold Best The Choir was formed 1922. The Musical Director was Mr. M. Kessell, he had a boot and shoe repair shop at the bottom of Robartes Rd. One evening he called three or four of us together and we met in his shop, and suggested forming a Choir if enough men could be got together. Each of us promised we would try and create some interest by contacting friends, and others and report to Mr. Kessell the results. Mr. Kessell arranged for a meeting at a Mr. Henwood's Cafe which was at the entrance of Robartes Rd. There were between twenty or thirty men who came; all were interested that a choir should be formed and a choir was born. A Mr. August Greenslade was the pianist/ organist. A. Best was Hon. Sec. and Mr. P. Williams was Treas. Mr.Greenslade later went to Canada, and a Mr. R. Roberts took his job as organist. The choir had thirty-six members and after a time, began to take engagements around the district at various churches. Items were from the "Male Voice Sankey Book" then after a time they included in the programme "Comrades of Hope", "Newquay Fishermen Song", "In Absence, Evening", "Pastoral" etc. Each member used to pay ld or 2d a practice for use of room and music. Practice was Sunday morning from 10.30a.m to 12a.m. Mr. D.W. Giles took over the organ after Mr. R. Roberts owing to ill health. Mr. Kessell had to give up leading the Choir, which broke un for a time. Capt. Hedley Martin reformed it and the Choir went on for a few years, and began going to various Music Festivals, the first attempt was at Delabole, and they were awarded 1st prize. Mr. Melville Coombe became organist under Capt. Martin. The Choir gave their first Radio programme under H. Martin with St. Dennis Band at Foster Hall, Bodmin; it was called "St. Dennis Night". The 1939/1945, war came and the Choir broke up as members were called away. Mr. Stanley Treloar restarted the Choir after the war, he in turn, handed the Choir to his son Harold, Margaret Treloar was pianist. Under Harold the Choir again went on Radio and T.V. Harold went to Canada for a number of years. During his absence, the Choir had various Mus. Directors, among them Mr. A. E. Baker. Under him the Choir won at different Festivals, won the championship of West of England twice at Bournemouth. When he left the county a Mr. Harrison took over, then Mr. R. Polmounter, then Mr. L. Stanaway, Harold came home again and took the Choir and he is the present Musical Director. The Choir has become very popular, numerous concerts are given in the County and outside. Most members are drawn from outside of the village now. In 1975 the Choir made a record "in The Male Voice Mood" with guest soloist Jean Camps (contralto). Already over 3,006 copies have been sold. In 1976 the choir went to Wales and at the International Eisteddfodd at Llangollen was placed 6th out of 18 choirs. St.Dennis Male Voice Choir recently disbanded
