Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Andras Fixler | Andras Fixler | Retro-pop & HI-NRG entertainer, born in Budapest, Hungary. Since his childhood Andras Fixler has always been attracted to performing arts, music and shows and has always been full of creativity, ideas and plans. Andras had been creating revue shows based on World-famous pop hits. He put his ideas into staging, including sets, costumes, lighting and worked together with music arrangers and choreographers. These shows were presented on various events, parties as well as countrywide tours. In most cases Andras was also on stage in these shows, performing as the main character: “The Showman”, singing and dancing throughout, backed up with the ensemble and actually hosting the events whenever it was required. After being on the road with the revue shows for a while it was time to move on. Andras was suggested to record the music they had been performing on stage. He decided to release an album – which was titled “It’s Showtime!” – still somehow connected to the past years, but this time without the ensemble, rather as a solo entertainer: Andras Fixler. Following “It’s Showtime!” Andras has been producing and releasing music in both physical and digital format and since pop music comes along with videos, he has also started making these with his creative team. The CD, EP and other music releases had to be presented live to the audience, so Andras has been back on stage (where –according to him– he belongs to the most) as a performing artist. “I enjoy working in all aspects of show-business. I love to perform and be surrounded by talented people. But most of all -on stage or backstage- I have been passionately fond of creating entertainment for the audience.” (Andras Fixler) |

Search | Add | 5 | Jesse Waldman | Jesse Waldman | One of Jesse Waldman’s most cherished possessions is a cassette of his grandmother singing the Yiddish folk song Papirosen to his mother. A remnant, like the abandoned guitar discovered in his parent’s basement, that drove his rock ‘n roll dreams out of the suburban sprawl of Thornhill, Ontario, and into the bars of downtown Toronto. A journey cross-country led him to mountains, ocean, and into the arms of Vancouver's Commercial Drive music scene. Now his home of over twenty years, the West Coast continues to inspire his lush imagery, sublime melodies, and outstanding technique. Influenced by folk and blues pioneers Townes Van Zandt, Taj Mahal, and Neil Young, Jesse has toured Canada, Western US, and the UK, performing everywhere from local pubs to soft-seat theaters, appearing at major festivals including Vancouver's Folk and International Jazz Fests. Mansion Full of Ghosts is Jesse's highly anticipated solo debut, an exploration of the city's vast duality, a backdrop of beauty mirrored by a fierce underbelly, and a need to keep a light on in the dark. |

Search | Add | 5 | Rock Da Mo$T | Rock Da Most | Rock Da Most was a German-based Hip-Hop group in Berlin. The crew was composed of members DJ Derezon, DJ Run X Kid, MC Roskoe and MC Blacky. Credited with releasing the first record by a West German Hip-Hop group, Rock Da Most released [m=242825] in 1989 prior to the reunification of West and East Germany. Birthed by the Hip-Hop scene in Germany, Rock Da Most, like other Hip-Hop artists and groups, were influenced by the images of American Hip-Hop circulating at the time. During the late 1970s to mid 1980's, Germany experienced its short era of an old-school Hip Hop scene after Charlie Ahearn's 1982 film Wild Style and the 1984 film Beat Street produced by Harry Belafonte. Through the depiction of an African-American / Latino-American youth street culture in America, films like these influenced the Hip-Hop scene in Germany as well as its manifestation. |

Search | Add | 5 | Lost Lakes | Madison, Wisconsin Lost Lakes is a collaboration between Corey Mathew Hart and Paul Mitch. The two met during a songwriting competition held by a local radio station. It wasn't until they returned for a duets portion of the follow year's competition that Corey saw Paul play bass and singing harmonies. The first time Corey and Paul played together, they clicked musically and personally. The collaboration has grown over the years, developing into a strong songwriting and production team with a focus on well-crafted tunes and tight vocal harmonies. Lost Lakes' self-titled debut record bears witness to their talents and the fact the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts. Recorded over a 9 month period, the recording process was a labor of love. Paul and Corey produced the record and enlisted percussionist Shane Leonard (Field Report, The Stray Birds) along with longtime bandmate Rusty Lee on keyboards to fill out the sound. The project was recorded in a shared warehouse space called the Dojo. Many of the basic tracks were recorded live in 2 separate sessions with overdubs done in small Thursday night sessions. Being fairly porous to the outside elements, the temperature in the Dojo ranged from 41 degrees to well over 100 over the course of the project, adding a sense of adventure to the sessions. Being able to take their time for this project gave Corey and Paul a lot of freedom to try different sounds and arrangements for songs they have been playing live for a couple of years. With no pressure, no deadline, and a giant warehouse space filled with eclectic gear, the two managed to create a record of the highest quality. When it came time to mix the album, Corey and Paul called on an old acquaintance, Grammy award winning engineer Justin Guip. The two had met Guip years ago when they opened for The Amy Helm (daughter of Levon Helm) at a Barn show in Spring Green, WI. Guip also happened to have just finished a record with the Stray Birds that Shane Leonard played percussion on. The past and present collided, and the timing couldn't have been better. Corey and Paul approached Guip about mixing the record and he was very excited about the songs and tracks that were laid down at the Dojo. Guip's aesthetic greatly aligned with the vision that Paul and Corey had for the record, and the result is a compelling masterpiece.

Search | Add | 5 | Andy Baar | Andy Baar | Andy Baar's first contact with electronic Dance music was in 1993 at Düsseldorf Unionrave. From there on he'd knew ”This is my thing”. Being Guest at several Parties with electronic Music he felt the need to swap his place on the dancefloor with a place behind the turntables. In 1996 having the first gigs in Clubs around Cologne. 1997 was the beginning of what he really liked: He started as resident DJ at Evosonic Radio. From the first day to it's last, Evosonic Radio was his second home base. Starting with the Show ”Evopool-Update”, he loved to work on air and everything that had to do with that, like recording jingles, creating concepts and sets for the show. Quick after that he had his first own weekly show called “Sleep Disorder”. Hours and hours on air, getting a much brighter horizon of what electronic music could do, he went more and more familiar with lots of genres electronic music has to offer. Several gigs around Germany and being a part of the Loveprades DJset 1998 and 1999 were some of his highlights. 2012 the old love of making Radio shows knocked on his door with the possibility of having an online broadcast at the 15th anniversary of Evosonic Radio. Since the he used this way for broadcasting his “Wunderbaar Radioshow” (since 2016 his show “Sleep Disorder” as podcast) for letting old and new fans have the typical sound again. 2017 started Evosonic Radio again….with Andy Baar. 2017 is also the year of another highlight in his career. On Evosonic Records his first production is released: "Sleep Disorder EP". |

A meeting with Jason “JayLee” Leonard in 2006, forever changed the landscape of San Antonio, Tx underground rap music. Search | Add | 5 | Fast Piece Of Furniture | This Toledo, Ohio-based band was formed by singer and guitarist Tony Lowe, who played with a variety of bands in Ohio, including Junior Electric. In 2003 he met Jeff Nelson, who had drummed for many bands, most notably Minor Threat. Jeff moved to Toledo from the Washington, DC area because of his obsession with old Jeep Wagoneers, (Jeep is from Toledo) and for Toledo’s remarkable collection of affordable Victorian houses. Although when he moved he had not played drums in 12 years, he was so impressed by Tony's playing, singing, and songwriting that he came out of retirement to join his band. Several lineup changes later, they were joined by bassist Mahlon Orrin, who’d played in The Black Dahlia Murder and PB.Army. Shortly thereafter, the band was completed when friend and law student Erika Kuester joined them on keyboards. When Tony had first looked around the big Victorian house Jeff bought, he was immediately struck by how perfect it would be for recording, especially the third-floor ballroom. With friend Brian Nupp (known as the “Fifth Piece of Furniture”) engineering, a great variety of sounds were captured in the ballroom, the second floor hall, and in various bedrooms and bathrooms. The results can be heard on their debut album, “Adventures in Contentment,” a co-release between Adult Swim and Dischord Records.

For a long time he played the guitar in hc/punk band Radikalna Promjena. Over the years, his musical interests evolved and gradually went from punk to reggae to end up in dub and dub-influenced music. In 2002 he participated in the founding of Radikal Dub Kolektiv, the first Croatian live-dub band. Soon afterwards, Radikal Dub Sound was formed, consisting of three Radikal Dub Kolektiv members. The project was conceived as a live act in digital, heavyweight dub style, where his role is mostly live dub mixing and studio production. With the band he recorded three albums. Meanwhile, he has been busy mixing and producing music with his fellow band mates for Radikal Dub Sound’s own material, as well as participating in other releases through collaborations, remixes, dub versions.... His current main occupation is a project named Dubble where he continues to work with former bandmate Vanja aka dr. Vax aka Vanya O, as well as a few other projects which include his mixing, production and dubbing. His interest in music production, loads of studio equipment and dub techniques continues to go in directions where no echo has gone before... |
