Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Denzil Naar | Denzil Naar | Famous Jamaican illustrator of posters for Dancehall events. His artwork can also be found on various Reggae album covers. Born: 1947 Died: July 2022 From reggaealbumcovers.com: Denzil “Sassafras” Naar is a legend in Dancehall history, who basically defined the way that dancehall events were marketed and promoted. Just like Wilfred Limonious pretty much defined the look and feel of 80s dancehall and reggae record sleeves, it was Sassafras who set the style and standard of the posters promoting dancehall events and sound systems. His work was so distinctive and ubiquitous in the 80s dancehall scene that the language and slang he often employed on his posters became adopted in the dancehalls and by Sound Systems. Denzil “Sassafras” Naar was born in 1947 and was nicknamed after a popular racehorse that used to run at Caymanas Park, Jamaica’s only racecourse, due to his love for horse-racing He started his career in design in 1975 when he started illustrating and creating hand-drawn posters to publicize the latest events, parties, and sound system clashes, for local promoters. He stumbled into poster design as a career when a friend asked Sassafras to design a poster for a dance he was holding, and Sassafras came up with a design that was unlike any others that were currently being made to promote events. His kinetic design style, distinctive lettering, and use of street slang was an instant hit and he quickly established himself as Jamaica’s premier designer for promoters and Sound Systems. At his peak, Sassafras has said that he was working 18 hours days and churning out 15 posters each week. His posters were soon seen all over the island, and his vast body of work is basically now serves as a catalog of artists, sound systems, and events that defined reggae and dancehall music through the 80s – each hand-drawn Sassafras poster was packed with information. The popularity of his posters soon earned him another nickname ‘The People’s Promoter’. Even if you have never heard of Sassafras, but have a working interest in reggae and dancehall music, then you will have seen his style, or at least seen other works that have been heavily influenced by the Sassafras. Sassafras has left his visual signature permanently on reggae and dancehall music. |

Search | Add | 3 | AXL OTL | For AXL OTL, music was started in a fantastic explosion of distortion. But the young rock guitarist rapidly absorbed many other genres. He practiced his violin and classical composition skills at the conservatoire, studied Jazz, explored traditional musics and started to experiment with a computer. Keeping on and taking in, he was mesmerized by the masters: Refused, Maurice Ravel, Django Reinhardt, Modeselektor, James Holden... AXL OTL has lived in Paris, London, and Tokyo. Each time he learned to speak the language, making sure he was able to reach out to the local scene. But to fnd his very own sound, he had to redefne his goals. Putting an end to his long collaborations with the bands Monsieur Jacquet (Gypsy-Jazz) and SNA-FU Grand Desordre Orchestre (Hardcore), he moved to Berlin in order to focus on his take on electronic music. Fusing AXL OTL’s unique mix of infuences has been like putting a puzzle together using parts from different sets. But after some clean cuts and the forging of some new pieces to fll the gaps, a unique and colourful picture has emerged. One that fuses multiple styles with pristine melodies under the roof of a danceable, electronic groove. A perfect ft for Berlin's own GiveUsYourGOLD, the label for nonconformist music, under which founders Psycho & Plastic unite like minded genre-defying electronic artists. Light but deep. Complex but accessible. AXL OTL’s sound is conceptual, mythic and narrative. Pay attention and listen carefully. The music is speaking.

Search | Add | 3 | Dryland Family Band | Dryland | Formed in 2014 of the best of pals, Dryland is not a myth. Through catchy, driving riffs riding a cloud of crunch, Dryland will guide the listener along a journey to populate the sun in a distant plane once inhabited by the Crab People, now ruled by the Moss Lord. Dryland exists somewhere in the space between Motörhead, Nick Cave, Red Fang, Danzig, and of course, Black Sabbath. Your mom will probably like them despite not liking "that kind of music." They released their first album, Self-Titled, in 2017 and are currently recording a new EP with producer+engineer Matt Bayles. |

Search | Add | 3 | Holy Ghost Church Choir | Church choir from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The choir was organized early in the twentieth century during the pastorate of the late Reverend Aloysius Fretz. Father Fretz's love of music and his adherence to the best liturgical traditions inspired the choir in its beginning years. His successor, the late Monsignor Scott A. Fasig also took a keen interest in the choir. In 1933, faced with the task of finding a replacement for an organist and choir master, Monsignor Fasig turned to the youth of the Parish, in whom he was most interested. He selected [a=Francis L. Mies], a twenty-two year old protege of the first organist and choir master, Mr. Henry Rohs. Under the direction of Mr. Mies the choir expanded from a membership of twelve to forty-five. World War II left the choir with few young singers, but at the war's conclusion the choir was revitalized. The repertoire included liturgical music with Latin Masses by Perosi, Carnevali, Bach, and Stahle. English and German hymns and motets became the music characteristic of the Holy Ghost of the forties. In 1946, St. Bernard's R.C. Beneficial Society invited the Chorus to be the nucleus of the "Samaritan Glee Club." The purpose of this secular group was to entertain at social and civic functions. The Glee Club demonstrated its versatility in their renditions of light classicals by Beethoven and selections from operettas by Romberg and Friml. Other choices include American marches, patriotic tunes, rolling sea chanties, medleys of barbershop quartet music, Negro spirituals, and novelty songs. In 1961, Reverend Reginald S. Billinger, D.D. was named pastor of Holy Ghost Church. Father Billinger provided the choir with the same inspiration for "God's Glorification" as did his predecessors. The choir implemented the changes in the liturgy approved by the Second Vatican Council, and can be heard singing English Masses and other selections of English liturgical music. The choir was honored by being the first Lay Choir to sing a High Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The choir is the nucleus of the original Pageant Chorus which furnished the background music for the Lenten Pageant, "Behold the Man of Bethlehem," a production of Catholic Pageants, Inc.

Search | Add | 3 | Funkyard Warriors | Raul R., Roman Zaragoza | Funkyard Warriors began producing music in 1998 out of the San Fernando Valley, Southern California, USA. They first started as a duo with djelert1 and Roman Zaragoza collaborating a more eclectic funky but a bit dark kinda styles of breakbeat/early 90's hardcore break styles. Finding loopholes whenever possible to work in old school hip hop beats and vocal samples, all the while creating their own personalized electronic sound. Unfortunately Roman Zaragoza left the duo in early 2001. However djelert1, aka elertfunk, aka dj elert, will remain as sole survivor of the Funkyard Warriors, with new and also some revised work of some older unreleased material. So keep a lookout for new Funkyard Warriors material to be released later this year and also listen to resident "dj elert" on ustream.tv/channel/redlab-radio on certain friday nights from 7:30pm-1:00am PST. |

Fabrecord exist since 1999 as a vague idea but was in 2003 that started to grow a little more serious, in 2006 there was a jump in the progress with the introduction of a PC with some software the project isn't serious yet. Searching in google for name validation i was aware that the name "fabrecord" already taken somewhere by somebody, so, i change the name to Fab-Rec or FaB-Rec in 2007, in 2008 i added "FaB" as a pseudonym for the same reason described abode and the same time, got a hardware upgrade to another level (from Pentium II to a Modern AMD processor more than enough for the music software used back then). In 2009 introduced "Fabianrec" and subsequently created a soundcloud account that is still today online. Face beta, that was in 2010, from some self thoughts about the how much last for "make some musically descent work", so the word "Beta" stands that the works has bugs in it, so the music made also contains "errors" those "errors" are a subjective perspective, so the β letter went included in consecutive names variations on the following years; Faβ in 2012, Faβian 2013, FacBeta on 2015 to 2017. In 2017 was the absolute depression. In that year, started a new project based on a mobile app called nanoloop under the alias Bafdan that was the mobile name back then, focused on minimalism and the whole production with no other additional post processing more than some basic mastering (very basic). On 2020 there were some "comebacks" under the old "Fabrecord" as artist alias, more mature and with wisdom in productions. On the current times, Fabrecord label host all those pseudonims and its albums and/or EP's along with the newest productions in the works. Also uses various pseudonims such as Fabrecord, Fab-Rec, Fabianrec, FaB, Faβian, Faβ, FacBeta, Bafdan |

Search | Add | 3 | Faton Cahen Complot | Band formed by Faton Cahen in the end of 1982, as an attempt to reach commercial success by moving away from jazz and playing a far more commercial pop music. The band played a few concerts and lasted only a few months. It is not sure whether the band's name was fixed - at least one newspaper advertised their concert as 'Faton Cahen Energie'. Some of the band's repertoire was later used by Faton for his next band [a1226679], formed in 1984.

Search | Add | 3 | Mark Kroos | Mark Kroos plays 2 guitar necks at the same time. Originally from Lansing, MI but currently based in Charlotte, NC he is one of the only people in the world touring his trade. His primarily instrumental style is characterized by open harmonies, polyphonic textures, incredible tapping technique, and is as entertaining to watch as it is to listen to. Live performances burst with energy and magnetism not typical of solo guitar music. Drawing influence from folk, Celtic, indie, and even punk rock artists as well as other great guitarists such as Michael Hedges, Tommy Emmanuel and Leo Kottke, Mark Kroos has developed his own edge to the acoustic guitar.
