Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Sonia Carré D'As | Sonia Carré d'As began her musical career in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). From 1991 to 1996, she studied music and music theory at the National Institute of Arts and Cultural Action (INSAAC) in Abidjan. Already during this period, she recorded two cassettes, “Carré d'As” (1992) and “Ingratitude” (1996). After that, she returned to Burkina Faso where she was nominated twice for the Kundé d'or prizes (in 2000 and in 2001), she won it in 2001. In the meantime Sonia had already recorded her third album "Tounga", under the guidance of star producer Boncana Maiga. The latter is also responsible for the artist name Sonia Carré d'As, after the title of her very first hit. The album "Tounga" (Tounga means adventure) was only released internationally only in 2002, and it is his only album distributed outside Burkina Faso. The album offers a great variation of styles, starting with the funky title track which changes to Congolese-style sebony (unfortunately too short!). Thereafter, there is "Dji Woyo" in rather Ivorian rhythms as well as an Afro-zouk track "Awou Ye Ben". "Yala Ba" is a Mandinka-sounding song in the style of Boncana Maiga-Ibrahima Sylla, and "Touré" is a strong French song about a man who dates many women and spends a lot of money to enjoy the good life. . The choirs: "...Touré, you have lost your mind..." and further: "the man has lost his mind, the woman has left prison..." surely raged on the dance floors Burkinabe! The song ends with a Congolese sebène, all complete with "atalaku" style animation. In 2007, Sonia released a new album, "N'kanou" which is also distributed digitally internationally. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | MonThruSun | Amsterdam-based Dutch band in the tradition of [a299733]. Lead singer Hans Bos of Soft Parade returns in March 2020 with a new album under the name the MonThruSun. After a creative collaboration with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) that resulted in acclaimed albums ‘Pure’ and ‘Get Well Soon’, Soft Parade stopped in 1996. The 2020 new album was recorded in Amsterdam IJland and Americain Studios with drummer / producer Remko Schouten (Stephen Malkmus, Zzz, Bull), Tinca Veerman (vocals), Robin Berlijn (piano, guitar), Dick Brouwers and Eric Maas (bass), Leon van Egmond (trombone), violinists Antonio Pliz and Robert Uchida, Robijn Boekelmans (cello) and Imke Jansen on viola. The name MonThruSun came up when Hans Bos was thinking of a new open/closed sign on the art gallery door in Amsterdam. The passion for the gallery where artists like Sarah Maple, Ciou, Ray Caesar and Darara exhibit made him think, how would it be if our space was open from Monday all through to Sunday. Always open, always living, always breathing arts and music. That's where the name MonThruSun came from. The songs were intentionally written and recorded from 2015 and on and first brought out as low-fi songs under the name Speaker. It took 5 years to re-record, arrange and mix the songs with the musicians. Many recordings were done in the Americain Studio, under the Americain Hotel right in the center of Amsterdam. It is cynical that the studio had to close in 2020 when HardRock Cafe took over the hotel and started to build a fitness club instead. Nice to know. Former Soft Parade bass player Eric Maas joins on the opening song 'Moon' and Dick Brouwers, also a former Soft Parade member plays bass on the other songs. He used to play bass in known Dutch bands like 13, Daryll-Ann, Ellen ten Damme, Shine and Claw Boys Claw. Robin Berlijn plays guitar and known from the bands Fatal Flowers, Ellen ten Damme, Moke and Kane. Leon van Egmond is member of the band Straf. Tinca Veerman is known from Bingo Trappers and Mongrell. Notes The song 'Family, it's Our Blood', no.3 on the album has a key role in the feature film ‘Hemelrijken’ (dir. Stanley Kolk). Musical reference The music on the album resounds with artists like Adam Green, Spain, Pavement, The Velvet Underground, Tindersticks and the Beatles. | |

For the Dance Orchestra, please use [a982252]. For the Variety Orchestra, please use [a6691355]. For the Symphonic Orchestra, please use [a1008862]. In 1950 Hungarian Radio formed its own gypsy orchestra. The 15 members were selected by the director of music, [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/3737694-R%C3%A1cz-Zsigmond]Zsigmond Rácz[/url], and applications were invited for the post of conductor. The job was won by [a962433], then 25 years old, and he conducted the orchestra until 1955, when it disbanded. The Radio Gypsy Orchestra presented a number of works which had never been performed before in arrangements for gypsy orchestra. Their playing was marked principally by an effort towards stylistic unity. Their success was exemplified by the folk-music grand prix of the Charles Cross Academy of Paris, which the orchestra won in 1952, against 51 other competitors. [a962433], a Master of Folk Art, was also awarded the Liszt Prize for his artistic accomplishments. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | The Feelings Hijackers | The Feelings Hijackers is a duo comprised of Chris Ballew ( front man for The Presidents of the United States of America ) and alternative hip-hop artist Mike "Outtasite" Singleton. The two artists first met during a short lived collaboration called "Subset", a super group teaming The Presidents, and the also multi-platinum Sir Mix-A-Lot. Outtasite (also Mix-A-Lot's protégé) was featuring on the Subset track "What The Hell" and joined Subset for all live shows. During a tour of the west coast, the future duo discovered that there was a lot of musical common ground to be explored. That exploring began in 2004 cutting demos in Chris Ballew's home studio. By the time 1 song turned into 10, Ballew had named this new duo "The Feelings Hijackers" mostly due to the strong mood music quality of the material, and the art of taking, cutting, and pasting from unfinished ideas. During this time the duo released two short run albums "T.F.H." in 2005 and "Skeletal Remains" in 2007. After a lengthy lay off, The Feelings Hijackers partnered up with Magmata Records / Magmata Studios to release the 21 song album aptly titled "SupeRecord" in 2011. Complete with supporting music video's, this album contains a combination of new & unreleased material, and previously released re-mastered favorites. This band was formed in a concept where the feelings of existing songs are hijacked and transformed into TFH songs. Traditionally they will strip the drums from a song and re-do them. Once this done then the main track is taken out and replaced with something that fits well with what's already been replaced. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Jacky 0 | Giacomo Cella | Giacomo Cella has been writing letters to an imaginary pen-pal named Zero since he was a kid. In these letters, he carefully inspects and explores the tiniest details of his own inner labyrinths, from the more joyful and uplifting allies all the way to the darkest corners. This is how Giacomo— who in his day to day life goes by the name of ‘Jacky’ — on top of working as a composer and sound designer for advertising, fashion, films and other audiovisual projects came up, in 2010, with the name Jacky 0 (zero) for his personal artistic production. By linking these two strands of his personality together, "Jacky 0” was born as the ongoing correspondence between “Jacky” and “Zero”; and every sound, word, album, collaboration or live performance must be read as part of this endless dialogue which is, at last, a constant process of self-discovery from Jacky to Zero and back. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Schwarz Of Galiorka | Formed weeks after the Gags' breakup, Glezos and Paolo M. start SCHWARZ OF GALIORKA. Somehow influenced by post-psychedelic weirdness (Alice Cooper, Sparks, Arthur Brown) and proto-punk bands (Doctors Of Madness, Punishment Of Luxury), the group is actually a studio project, with Glezos overdubbing all instruments bar the drums, courtesy of Paolo M.: a forced choice, since the recruitment of other members proved beyond any hope. The duo with the strange monicker (a weird, selfmade german-russian combination, which tentatively means 'The People In Black In The Balcony') go through a heavy schedule of demos recorded at Palmito Studios, a 8-track semi-professional studio in S. Giuliano Milanese (Milan). SOG's intention was to release a self-produced mini-album titled 'Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!', which in the duo's intentions would include 6 tracks on a one-sided, 12" lp. In the meantime, Vidocq and Top Hat joined respectively as artwork designer and manager. SOG kept writing and recording, but after a long and heated internal debate the mini-album is cancelled, as the duo embarked in a series of acoustic demos recorded at Radio Popolare in Milan. In October 1983 Kindergarten Records in Florence offers a deal, but after beginning pre-production at the label’s recording facilities the duo declines. In January 1984 SOG released the rare, promo-only 12" Goatsucker/Voilà Hack'n'Slash on their Gates Of Heaven label (200 copies are pressed). After disappointing rehearsals with a number of guitar and keyboard players, SOG break up in spring 1984. In 2010 Hate Records releases ‘Horror! Horror! Schwarz Helluva!’ (vinyl only, 50 copies in blood red pressing), the projected-then-withdrawn 1983 album. 'Tapes Of Mystery And Imagination', a CD released in 1996 by El Passerotto, includes all the studio recordings of the most adventutous Italian post-punk group. | |
