Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Metalycée | Armin Steiner, Nik Hummer, Bernhard Breuer, Matija Schellander, Melita Jurisic | Ashes to ashes, dust to dust... Sound. Experiment. Avant-garde. Ashes. Dust. Metal. From a disc of fully digitally processed drum and guitar samples developed in 2003 by Viennese sound artists Armin Steiner and Nik Hummer (who as part of Thilges3 operated on the cutting edge of art, noise and politics ) emerged the project Metalycée. A telling name, which tells of cerebral hardness, of guttural fantasy. A name, which does not give too much away. Since two years drummer Bernhard Breuer, bass guitarist Matija Schellander and singer Melita Jurisic completed the experimental growth, which did not evolve without consequence: The new album “It Is Not” belongs to another, more surreal tryst, between Free Jazz, Metal and, now, to HipHop. Those who need to name genres, may add Free Rap, even HipDrone, but nobody really needs categories. Above all, what concerns Metalycée is not awkward genre deconstructions, nor aimless experimentals. The concern is the whole, sublime truth of the sound. This truth is: there are no boundaries. “It Is Not” indicates that subtlety can also be deafening, that the most intensive noise can also consist of finesse. Or, more figuratively: “It Is Not” walks with a map of the South Bronx through Norwegian swamps, cesspools of beats, geysers of noise that break into industrial mud slicks. And over all that, over little death bells and deathly basses, comes the lyric furor of Melita Jurisic: Ashes to ashes, dust to dust… |

| Search | Add | 5 | The Dynaminds | Band description from an i94 Review: The Dynaminds Real Rock and Roll is alive and well and living in relative obscurity in Europe. Happily, it seems. It doesn't matter who listens to the radio - that medium, for the most part, lost any semblance of intelligence (musically speaking) in the late '70s when centralised playlists and other economies of scale kicked in. The smart people are grabbing their Rock Action wherever they can find it and here's another example, all the way from Bitburg in Germany. In the case of The Dynaminds, it's like a little bit of the Murder City was relocated to Deutschland, fed copious amounts of Pilsener and sausage and sent into the Black Forest to terrorise the populace. Thinking about it, inflicting the Flying Dutchman - aka Tony Slug of the Nitwitz and the Hydromatics - onto these guys as producer probably had the same effect. I'm sure the band must have developed thick hides by the end of the session 'cos the Slug is known to direct his stinging wit in the direction of most nationalities, but Germans especially. Listen hard enough and you'll hear a neat slice of Sonic's Rendezvous Band's "Dangerous" riffage (also a signature song for the Hydros) in the guest Slug guitar on "By All Means", which is a stellar moment on a great album. You know what to expect but it's done extremely well. Sluggo's production is superb too, with guitars bristling away atop a mammoth-sounding bottom end. Dr Rock is the guy on four-strings and much kudos to him. Da Man can play and even leads the way on "Hazy Hands". The Dynaminds namecheck SRB, the Five, Birdman, the Who and the Stooges in their bio and music. It doesn't take a genius to work out where they've applied those cues and you'll revel in Pick The Influence, if you're into that sort of thing. It actually takes about 30 seconds for the goodness of this record to kick in. I'm talkin' 'bout the first song, "Riding High", where a bitching backbeat and barroom piano slide over the top of a big fat bottom end and Van Boogie's soulful vocal. Mix in those guitars, courtesy of Sgt Famous and Smokey Lonesome, and you've got yourself a pro forma for a rockin' great time. Comes to the second tune, "Love Affair", and you'd swear these guitarists had been taking lessons from Nick Royale, Dr Tek and Klondike (like that's a bad thing?) "Bill Leavin" might be the centrepiece, with its tough, gritty feel and extended guitar call and response work-out. The single "Dangerous Blue", was a tour de force with its chunky guitars and smooth organ trimmings and it's here for your digital enjoyment, sounding like a Hydromatics song. There's a whole lot to like about The Dynaminds and if they recall a host of all-too-obvious influences, well that's fine 'cos you'll know what you're in for. Expect no fresh frontiers to be broken, but a flag is flown for the right sort of rock and roll. The album's even dedicated to Sonic Smith. A no risk investment. Longplayer „Tunes from the dusky dirtzone“ veroeffentlicht. Nach zahlreichen Gigs quer durch die Republik werden die Jungs gehandelt als „Dreckiger als die Monochords, frischer als die Hellacopters und cooler als Jet“ (www.actionrock.de). Momentan wird am 2. Album gearbeitet, das von Paul Smith (Dumbell) und Tony Slug (The Hydromatics, Nitwitz) produziert wird. Mehr Infos zur Band findet Ihr auf www.thedynaminds.com. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Odd Wannebo | Odd Wannebo | March 11. 1932 - July 16. 2016, Namsos, Norway. Born into the working class of a small town and working as a baker, he moved in the mid 50s to Oslo for a career in graphic design. His passion, though, was music, from the spirituals and gospel music of his childhood’s chapels and Salvation Army, where his mother was a passionate member. This was discovered by Oslo’s music scene, where he frequently attended with his remarkable bass voice. Kirsten Flagstad, the great opera singer, saw to that he became a solist at Den Norske Opera, after funding his education in Vienna. From there his career took him to the great international stages, while from 1963 finding himself at home mainly in the U.S.A and Canada, until settling down in Los Angeles, still performing within the opera scene. Here he would also pick up his roots in gospel and spirituals, performing and recording albums on vinyl and CD. At the end of his life he moved back to Namsos, Norway, where he passed away at the age of 84. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra | This profile is only for recordings between 1925-1958. For later recordings, use [a13983661]. In 1925, the Chicago radio station WGN stated broadcasting their radio orchestra. Chicago Philharmonic was basically the house orchestra of the radio station WGN. [a3978074] was musical director of WGN from 1934 to 1958, conducting the orchestra. They played live concerts with guest conductors [a5562949] in 1936, and [a6550564] in 1937. One of their violinists were Orvin A. Sale. Some lathe cut/lacquer discs exist of Leo Sowerby: Symphony No 3/Weber/Chicago PO, from a 1946 performance. That recording is incomplete because the radio station broadcasting the program live cut-off the broadcast on the hour, a few minutes before the symphony concluded. Leo, presumably, paid a recording service to record it off the air. [l731225] released recordings produced by Mercury Records, on mostly red vinylite pressings. These discs were released to "subscribers" of the Sears catalog in early spring/summer 1947. Note that orchestras appears under several aliases and name variants, presumably due to rights issues, sometimes paired with conductor [a696257]. Around 1951, Mercury released a couple of compilation LPs from the Silvertone releases. The orchestra closed down 1956. The Silvertone tracks were compiled and reissued again on Paramount Enterprises' "Hollywood" bargain LP label between 1956 and '58. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Kiley Joe Masson | Kiley Joe Masson was born on October 6th 1975 and grew up in the town of Princeton, ON, and it was here he honed his skills as a vocalist and a rock and roll piano player. Early in his career Kiley Joe was mentored and directed by Bill ‘OJ’ Oja, the former manager of Maple Street in the 70’s and Terry Sumsion in the early 80’s. Bill went on to work as a reporter for the Country Music News while maintaining his fulltime job with the Hamilton Board of Education. In July of 1993 Kiley Joe won his category in the ‘Male Eighteen and Under’ at the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest held in Simcoe, ON. On December 4th 1993 his original song “Sitting In The Corner Of A Bar-Room,” was recorded and produced by none other than Larry Mercey. In early 1994 the song was released to radio on a special CD produced by the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest Board. Between January 23rd and March 1st 1994 Kiley Joe and Thom Ryerson partook in a song-writing course together with eight other people, presented through Fanshawe College in Woodstock, ON, and taught by singer/songwriter Jack (Flinsenberg) London. Kiley Joe discussed his own composition ‘Sittin’ In The Corner Of A Bar-Room’ while Thom presented his original song ‘Prey Time.’ The entire class wrote a song together called ‘Classified Love.’ Over the years Jack London has pushed his own version of ‘Classified Love’ at various websites, production companies and record labels, to absolutely no avail. In 1999 Kiley Joe released a song he wrote in high school called ‘A Soldier’s Memories.’ This composition is regularly featured on radio each and every Remembrance Day. In November of 2001 Kiley Joe participated in ‘Showcase 2001’ in Brantford. Columnist Glen Silverthorn reported, “This young man has it all: extreme talent on the keyboards and a fabulous voice. Once again he was a crowd favourite as he brought to life to many a country song from his extensive repertoire.” Kiley Joe knows close to a thousand songs from country to jazz, from the fifties to the sixties, and is a tremendous entertainer in his own right. After working as a single act for more than fifteen years, Kiley Joe currently performs with a five piece band at jamborees and country music festivals across Southern Ontario. When he’s not performing his own shows, he plays piano in the band Sweet Dreams backing Amberley Beatty’s ‘Legendary Patsy Cline Tour.’ He also plays piano and harmonica in the Butcher Holler Boys for the ‘Loretta Lynn Show,’ also presented by Amberley Beatty. As well, he plays piano and harmonica in two Robert Gill tributes; ‘The Waylon Jennings/Highwaymen Show’ and the ‘George Jones Show.’ Kiley Joe’s father, Paul, organizes the Crimson Hollow Barn Dance, which is held on his farm in Vienna, ON. Several years ago Kiley Joe was looking for a bass player to play at Crimson Hollow, and met bassist/vocalist Paul Newell. Kiley Joe incorporates Paul into as many projects as possible. Paul is about as Thunderbird as you can get. Both Paul Newell and Kiley Joe are regulars in Fred Lewis’ country outfit “Ridin’ High,” based in Woodstock. The three aforementioned musicians are all very well acquainted with the Commercial Tavern in Maryhill, ON. Presently Kiley Joe is playing with his band ‘The Rhythm Associates’ with Dale Rivard on steel guitar, Don Maxwell on bass, Ray Ovington on drums, and Kiley Joe singing, playing keyboards, and saxophone. On October 19th 2017 Kiley Joe and Paul Newell performed live at a talk given by Thom Ryerson at the Burford Public Library. Christmas with Kiley Joe was held on December 7th 2019 at Old St. Paul’s Anglican Church in downtown Woodstock. His show was followed by seasonal treats and beverages. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Insidiae | Insidiae | Insidiae was a Progressive Modern Metal band from Friesland, The Netherlands. They disbanded in February 2013. Below is the band's biography for archive and information purposes: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was October 2010 when a couple of good friends that had already made music together in the past decided to form a proper band. With Jelle Hamstra behind the drum kit, Janneke Smids on keys, Siegfried Kramer on lead guitar, Paulus Kramer on bass and Harm-Jan Broekema as vocalist the band was already nearly complete. Soon after Jeroen Bosma joined the band to play rhythm guitar and they were good to go. The band was christened Insidiae which is a Latin word meaning ambush or treachery. The word Insidiae is technically a plural form which has no singular. Though when translated it does refer to a singular concept and in that way it relates to being in a band. It takes multiple people to form a band that is itself one entity. A genre or style of music was never really stipulated but grew in a natural way with each song that was written. Resulting in the sound that now defines Insidiae. Dynamic, heavy as well as melodic, with a strong groove and a progressive edge. The songs themselves are what’s important and as long as they have an interesting progression and their components do not feel pieced together; almost anything goes. When it comes to lyrical content the band tends to focus itself on the darker side of the human psyche. In a little over a year Insidiae was already fortunate enough to open for big international acts such as Sonic Syndicate and Blaze Bayley as well as well known national bands like Autumn and God Dethroned. Meanwhile the recording of some demo tracks led to joining a collective of progressive metal bands called “Layered Reality Productions”. The band was also part of a compilation album, released only on Vinyl, that went by the name of “Frisian Metal Massacre Volume 1” alongside the befriended local acts; Leaper’s Path, Dimaeon and Disintegrate. This project in itself led to multiple new initiatives. Tamme Oosterhof, the man behind this compilation, started his own record label called Big Bad Wolf Records and in April 2012 Insidiae was the first act to be signed to this label. While members of Insidiae and Dimaeon started their own organisation called “Metalization” in order to organise gigs and other activities to help upcoming metal bands and musicians. In its relatively short existence there have also been some negative developments for Insidiae however. Chief among those being the long term illness of the band’s singer as well as multiple line-up changes. Jeroen Nauta took the place of Jeroen Bosma on rhythm guitar at the end of December 2011. And Jean-Luc Nealon replaced Paulus Kramer on bass guitar when he decided to quit the band early March 2012. All the while the work on the first album titled “Were Demons Dare” was continuing furiously and it is currently set for a release in the summer of 2012. This will mark the dawn of the new Insidiae that is now ready to rock as many venues as possible in order to earn its rightful place in the metal scene! |

| Search | Add | 5 | Rock Da Mo$T | Rock Da Most | Rock Da Most was a German-based Hip-Hop group in Berlin. The crew was composed of members DJ Derezon, DJ Run X Kid, MC Roskoe and MC Blacky. Credited with releasing the first record by a West German Hip-Hop group, Rock Da Most released [m=242825] in 1989 prior to the reunification of West and East Germany. Birthed by the Hip-Hop scene in Germany, Rock Da Most, like other Hip-Hop artists and groups, were influenced by the images of American Hip-Hop circulating at the time. During the late 1970s to mid 1980's, Germany experienced its short era of an old-school Hip Hop scene after Charlie Ahearn's 1982 film Wild Style and the 1984 film Beat Street produced by Harry Belafonte. Through the depiction of an African-American / Latino-American youth street culture in America, films like these influenced the Hip-Hop scene in Germany as well as its manifestation. |
| Search | Add | 5 | Joe C. Jones | Josephus Jones | Joe C. Jones (born Josephus Jones, February 15, 1942) joined his half brother Otis Munson and fellow San Bernadino California High School alumni Carl McGinnis and brothers Ken and Ted Goodloe as new lead singer of their group The Pentagons in 1959. First recording for George Motola as the Shields in 1959 ("The Girl Around The Corner," "You'll Be Coming Home Soon,") they were picked up by producer Lee Silver and recorded four sides for Donna ("For A Love That Is Mine," "I Like The Way You Look At Me") in 1960, moving to Jamie, recording four sides including their breakout hits "To Be Loved" in 1961 and "I Wonder" in 1962. The same lineup then cut 4 sides for Buck Ram as the Chesterfields on Phillips. Going solo he recorded as "Joel Scott" for Phil Spector's Philles records and "Joe Phillips" for Herb Alpert's Omen label. In 1969 he re-joined half brother Otis Munson to record four sides for various Lee Silver labels, and in 1976 four sides for AVI, including "Lucky Lady" and "Storyteller." A continuing collaboration with the Pentagon's Ken Goodloe produced several unreleased recordings including "A Year To Remember." Joe's final recording was a 1998 solo album on the High Point label "I'll Always Love You." Joe C. Jones passed away in Redlands California on September 6, 2019. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Dr. Vannacut | 2001 Timo started deejaying, mainly by a request of a friend who needed one additional DJ for his event. Never been on the turntables in public before Timo used this chance to improve his skills on front of an real audience. Soon after he was not satisfied anymore by just playing tracks from other artists but also wanted to create his own sound. He did alot of research and bought equipment and software over the years to be able to create his own style. Due to that reason he stopped increasing his deejaying skills and focused on producing and playing live. This style was first presented in 2007 at the event “Sinister - The roughest sequel” at the Roccadero, Krefeld. But Timo thought his style was still to “main”, and decided to make a pause. In 2011, after a lot of home experimentation and tryouts he started working on his first album “Vitriolic” which will be released on 15/03/13 during a release event at the Royal Bambi, Dortmund. His style is somewhere located between Industrial and Darkcore as it is supposed to be a unique sound experience. | |

Bolletino | Dante Franco Salvatore Bollettino | American jazz enthusiast and record bootlegger (born September 22, 1928 in the Bronx, New York, NY - died August 14, 1985 in Monte Cassino, Italy) Also credited as a writer of liner notes. Around 1949, Bollettino founded [l=Paradox Industries, Inc.] to release the [l=Paradox (10)] label. Another label associated with him and his office at 139 E. 47th Street in New York City was the [l=The Wax Shop] label. In addition, Bollettino ran bootleg labels like [l=Jolly Roger (2)], [l=Pax Records (4)], and [l=British Rhythm Society] that reissued dubbed, pirated copies of older jazz recordings to an eager audience of collectors.
