Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Nyofu Tyson | Nyofu Tyson | Originally a jazz bassist, Nyofu Tyson has been playing Turkish Saz since the 70's. His music is a blend of Turkish, Jazz, Latin, Flamenco and more. He is also a composer and translator/interpreter of Turkish Folk Poets. Born in Los Angeles of Danish-Lebanese-African-American heritage, Nyofu Tyson grew up in a musical home. His Dad was an amateur jazz pianist and avid listener of many styles of music. Nyofu began music as a bassist, playing Jazz and Latin with local groups. He studied Composition, Classical Bass, and North Indian Classical Music at California Institute of the Arts for 2 years. His interest in ethnic music led him to Turkey, where he began playing the long necked lute, Saz. He then lived for many years in Sweden, where he worked with [a=Zülfü Livaneli], [a=Okay Temiz] and [a=Hadji Tekbilek] , all major names in Turkish music. He toured all over Sweden and Europe with these artists, while having his own band and making radio concert and TV appearances in Sweden and Turkey. Since returning to LA in 1994, he has collaborated with Omar Faruk Tekbilek, oudist John Bilezikian and Cuatro Caminos Flamenco among others. In 2004, Nyofu released two CD’s on the 3 Worlds Music label: “Timeless Songs”, a collection of Turkish folk poets from 13th century to present; and “La Guitarra Turca”, original work blending Mideast, Latin and Jazz in an instrumental/vocal mix. He has been a member and featured artist in the Stefani Valadez Ensemble since 2006 and started Turkish/Flamenco fusion group “iST/West” together with Flamenco guitarist Bobby Solakov in 2007. From July 2011 thru Dec 2013 he performed with these groups at Disney California Adventure, introducing the public there to Turkish Poets and popular songs, odd rhythms and Flamenco alaturca. Nyofu travels regularly to Turkey, where he has gained recognition for his interpretations of Turkish folk poets and his eclectic style of Saz playing. In 2010 Nyofu began work on a new collection of Turkish Poet interpretations, featuring his original compositions. Recorded in Izmir, Istanbul and Los Angeles, "Minstrels&Mystics" is to be released in Turkey Spring 2017 by Avrupa Music. Also to be released is 5 song “iST/West” EP “Ciudad de Mi Alma”, featuring the single “Yeni Anladım”. |

Search | Add | 5 | Stonedove | Geoff McGuire | STONEDOVE , Geoff McGuire, is a Manchester based electronic music producer who made music throughout most of the 90’s, and quickly got hooked on piano driven house music, after taking a 20 year break and returning to the underground music scene in 2012, signing his debut track “find us”, and remixing NDB1’s “Brighter Days” and “Positive thinking” and latterly releasing his 90’s house banger 1990 on Soulfunktion records including remixes from the legendary Brian Keys Tharme. A self-taught pianist who can turn his hand to most instruments loves to make soulful, melodic musical bass heavy key driven vibes inspired by Jangly Pianos, Rising Strings and summer sounds with a glance back to the glorious 90’s. Energised and going from strength to strength with a number of projects and collaborations in progress he’s looking forward to sharing his music with the world. |

Search | Add | 5 | Thugnor | Side project of JA from Decayed. The concept behind Thugnor was to produce very slow and mesmerizing music, with lyrics dealing with death and related themes. Two songs were recorded in 1996 and released under the title “Hymns Of Death”. In the beginning of 2002, the recordings for an album started and were finally finished later. This time, the lyrics took a very different direction, that dealt with Scandinavian mythology. However, it seemed that it was difficult to find a label to release such an album. Finally by 2011, the full-length album "Scrolls Of Grimace" was released. In 2012, more new Thugnor tracks appeared on a split release with two other bands.

Search | Add | 5 | Claudia Kurver | Claudia Kurver was born in 1984 in Halle/Saale (Germany). Her father significantly influenced her music taste with bands like AC/DC and the Scorpions. As a teenager, acts like Marilyn Manson and HIM joined her playlist, along with dark electronic sounds from bands like VNV Nation or Covenant. And thanks to her membership in a dance group, she even grew fond of Eurodance, Pop and German-Pop. In 2005, Claudia moved to Leipzig for studies, where she started exploring music more deeply. She formed the band "Mental Defect" with her husband, Daniel, in the subsequent years. However, personal differences led to the band's dissolution in 2017, which was a tough phase for Claudia. Seeking a new direction, she collaborated with Liss Eulenherz, forming the Dark-Synth-Pop duo "Sonorus7." They achieved initial success with a band contest win and an album release but eventually split due to creative differences. Reconnecting with her rock roots, Claudia attended a concert in 2021, which reignited her passion. With a clear vision, she began working with Jan David, crafting new compositions and joining forces with producers Michael Danielak and Frank Kühnlein. The band's lineup solidified with singles "Unser Moment" and "Ich glaub an Dich" and in summer 2023, her husband Daniel joined as another guitarist. Claudia remains the primary decision-maker, ensuring she maintains her musical independence.
