Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 Rowing Gamblers Swedish pop group formed in 1965 in Årsta in Stockholm municipality. The band was formed by Ulf Wahlberg, (guitar / organ / vocals) Björn Olsén, (guitar / vocals) Thomas Rydberg (drums) and Hans Jonsson (bass). The following year, 1966, the group won a medal in Jump In's pop band competition. They appeared in Opopoppa in 1967 and toured extensively, including in Holland and Finland. Hans "Lill-Hasse" Jonsson was long called Sweden's smallest bassist; he was only fourteen years old when the group was started. Rowing Gamblers otherwise stood for a relatively soft pop sound with a lot of vocals. In the last year the group was active (1970), Peter Stolt (Pete Proud) became the fifth member on vocals and percussion. There are some well-known names as composers on the group's singles. Göran Lagerberg (Tages) has written and produced "A World Of Roses". The couple Claes Dieden-Bengt Palmers (Palmers was also a producer) and Ulf Neidemar (Bernie Boys, Uffe) have also contributed to the group. The group's first single was produced by Hans Östlund. The group themselves were also relatively early in writing their own material. Ulf Wahlberg later became a member of the Secret Service together with Ola Håkansson and later started the production company and music publisher XTC Productions AB. Hans Jonsson continued as a musician together with Lalla Hansson. Thomas Rydberg became a member of Life and continued with Nature before his tragic accident during a stay in the USA. Björn Olsén trained as an artist and is represented in several public places. Peter Stolt applied to the healthcare system and developed his artistic aptitude down in Österlen. In 2012 he died due to illness. They reunited in 2017 and recorded an album with the line-up: Björn Olsén, Ulf Wahlberg, Hans Skjönsberg, Pelle Holm

Search Add 5 Brett James Phillips Phoenix guitarist and luthier Brett James Phillips submitted a CD-R containing 12 instrumental songs which cover a range of music styles, including acoustic, rock, trippy acid, and more. A serious player, Phillips uses both electric and acoustic guitars and a number of effects devices and/or recording techniques to create unique and diverse textures of musical expression. He has hand built his own instruments and recorded his music in his own studio. As evidenced by the songs on his CD-R, Phillips values highly the improvisational aspect of music, taking a number of chops-happy, jammy excursions over the sequenced backing tracks. "Painted Desert", for example, has a soaring theme, followed by a long, rock'n'classical harmonized improvisation. On Phillips' timeless acoustic tracks, you'll find some beautiful pieces of music. alb Brett started playing the piano at age seven and picked up the trumpet and tuba while in high school. He first picked up the guitar at the age of nineteen, and also learned how to build and design acoustic and electric guitars at the Roberto Venn School of Luthiery. Brett started his own business in 1991, teaching private guitar and bass lessons as well as customizing and repairing stringed instruments. He also co-founded and helped operate the Cellar coffee house, largely as a music venue specializing in the development of new talent. Phillips has plans to continue to play as a solo guitarist in the Phoenix area, building a fan base as well as helping other artists record their original music. He intends to keep writing, recording and performing his original compositions while remaining independent to maintain artistic control. Phillips has a 21-song acoustic CD planned for an April 1 release in the Phoenix area. Contact Information Brett Phillips 1426 E. Utopia Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85024 United States

Search Add 5 Tri O Five Tri O Five is one of the most successful Bulgarian club bands. Their style can be described as funky, groovy beats. In 2005 fate brought Dessislav Ivanov, Ilyin Grivishki and Michael Fleming together. A month later, the first track of the successful trio is a fact. "Let's Start Over" was recorded in the home studio of DJ Ilko, but the next three songs -"Got The Groove", "Back To You" and "Travelling" were made in a professional recording studio. In 2007 the single „Let's Start Over” was released on CD with remixes of the same song by different DJ-s . The three musicians decided that for the promotion a bassist will be needed and that’s when Antony Rikev (WahTony) joined the band. Soon after that came their first international success . They released the song "No Where To Go" with U.S. label Blockhead Recordings. In the beginning of 2011 Tri O Five conquered stages and festivals such as Exit, Elevation, Spirit of Burgas, Apolonia, Dixi Jazz Festival and Sozopol Fest. At this time the band also included the drummer Nikolay Danev, who is part of the band today. At the end of the same year was released their long-awaited double debut album - "Travelling (Day Break / Night Out)". In January 2014 the group announced changes in its composition ! Tri O Five split with DJ Ilko and vocalist Michael Fleming , but Marten Roberto joined the band, and Preyah joined as a guest musician. With the new format , the band is: Preyah - Vocal Nikolay Danev - Drums DJ Marten - Programming Desislav Ivanov - Saxophone Antoni Rikev - Bass

Search Add 5 My Sister, My Brother Garrison Starr, Sean McConnell and Peter Groenwald had no intention of forming a band when they gathered for a songwriter's camp during 2018 in Nashville. But their composition there, "Nothing Without You" led to My Sister, My Brother. "We just hit it off right off the bat and had so much fun," McConnell tells Billboard. "We wrote 'Nothing Without You' that first day, and we were all, like, 'Wow, this is something we should do again' and we made it a priority to get back together." The trio wound up writing a half-dozen songs together at four or five subsequent gatherings back in Nashville, recording mostly at Groenwald's home studio. "We all produced, but Peter did most of the heavy lifting," McConnell reports. And he says their continued collaboration was about as easy as it was for "Nothing Without You."

Search Add 5 Rockin' Bobby Harris Robert Edward Harris Born in 1937 in Simcoe, Ontario, Rockin' Bobby Harris began his musical career at the age of 16 when he bought his first acoustic guitar and began playing rockabilly, with both originals and covers. Although his main gig was driving a big rig, Bobby still whooped and hollered whenever he could. He was a big fan of Carl Perkins, Johnny Horton, Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash. In 1960 he finally met Johnny Cash face to face, and was blown away by that meeting. Bob also released a single during his younger years. Once Bobby retired from trucking, he had more time to play. From 1997 to 2007 Bobby joined 'Two Dollar Bill And His Bad Pennies' playing gigs all over Ontario. When he realized his health was starting to hold him back from playing, Bobby cut a CD in 2005 with producer Andy Magoffin so he'd have a viable recording of his style and music. Two different version of this CD exist. When Two Dollar Bill broke his band up, Bobby began singing with Bernie Demmery's band in Port Dover for two years. Bobby stopped actively playing after 2009, but still lives down in Tillsonburg, ON, where music is still his life. Bob is also a very skilled artist, and one of his drawings is on display at the Simcoe Art Museum.

Search Add 5 Aldo Palazzeschi Aldo Giurlani Aldo Palazzeschi. 2 February 1885 – 17 August 1974) was the pen name of Aldo Giurlani, an Italian novelist, poet, journalist and essayist. He was born in Florence to a well-off, bourgeois family, and studied accounting and acting before he published his first book of poetry, I cavalli bianchi (in English, The White Horses) in 1905, using his maternal grandmother's surname, Palazzeschi, as a pseudonym. After meeting Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, he became a fervent Futurist. However, he was never entirely ideologically aligned with the movement and had a falling out with the group over Italy's involvement in World War I, which he opposed. His "futurist period" (roughly the 1910s) was a very fecund time in which he published a series of works that cemented his reputation. Most notable of these is his novel Il codice di Perelà (translated into English as Man of Smoke) published in 1911. During the interwar era, his productivity lessened, as he became involved in journalism and other pursuits. Also during this time, he was a notable anti-Fascist. He returned with a series of novels in the late sixties and early seventies that resecured his place in the new, post-war avant-garde. He died in 1974 in his apartment in Rome. Today he is often considered an important influence on later Italian writers, especially those of the neoavanguardia in both prose and verse. His work is well noted by its "grotesque and fantastic elements"

Search Add 5 Jason Staal Jason was one of three vocalists en songwriters from the group Asman, founded in Assen, The Netherlands as a school project in 1999/2000. By 2008 the remaining trio continued to perform Dutch songs in the vein of Acda & De Munnick and Veltdhuis & Kemper. Their distinctive sound, three voices harmonizing, was already apparent on their debut album, 'Mijn Wereld', released 2006. In 2008 they released their second album, 'Eerst Is Nu Wel Klaar' as a full blown six piece rock band. The album was an improvement to it's predecessor in sound and songwriting qualities. Their third and last studio album 'Bijna Voor Elkaar' (2012) was another improvement but it turned out to be their last full album of new work. The follow-up was an acoustic live version of 'Bijna Voor Elkaar', recorded in an intimate setting for a small selected audience. The set was also filmed and released on DVD. With no recording contract and a breakthrough elusive the group called it a day in 2015, playing a farewell gig on September 12, 2015 in 'De Nieuwe Kolk' in Assen. After the break-up of Asman Jason embarked on a solo career beginning with the album 'Daggedachten' which got quite some airplay on the Dutch national radio. The follow up album was called 'Nachtgedachten' and continues in the vain of his debut album. In 2019 he was invited to record a live version of 'Nachtgedachten' in front of an audience in Nijend in the Dutch village of Anderen. After a relatively quite period of time Jason released his album 'Tussen Twijfel En Tijd' which shows Jason matured as a songwriter as well as a musician. The album has songs in various moods and styles, but are all recorded with a full blown and competent backing group.

Search Add 5 Wouda Wouter Brandenburg While Wouda’s debut release might be tucked away at the back of the label’s catalogue, the sunny bounce of Bum On The Carpet’s ‘Mood Swing’ 12” is what kick-started the whole Dopeness Galore adventure. Already studying audio engineering and mastering, Wouda knew he wanted to work with sounds at an early age. But it was the urge to craft a simple combination of live-sounding MPC and Rhodes that formed the idea behind the single. In true DIY-style, Wouda pressed it up onto vinyl and dealt it out by hand until they were all gone. While running the label has meant that Wouda’s time on the MPC has taken a back seat, his production vision has only gotten wider. Taking inspiration from visionary greats like Prince, Quincy Jones, Fela Kuti, Theo Parrish, King Tubby, and Larry Levan, he’s dead set on a mission to seek out the heavy blissful vibes, whoever makes them.

Search Add 5 Skii Harvey Skii Harvey Australian singer/songwriter Skii with her sultry, sassy voice has been likened to a cross between Tina Turner and Ella Fitzgerald. Skii is a life long singer/songwriter. She began her career huddled over an old upright piano squeezed into her mother’s small semi in Redfern, Sydney Australia, where their tiny porch had been converted into a makeshift bedroom. Like many artists she worked a couple of jobs by day and the gig circuit by night. Her voice has stopped the likes of Sting and Ricky May but it is her song writing that has brought her to the attention of the Billboard music awards, the UK songwriting awards, Best Song at the Australian Songwriter’s Association, Song of the Year and as a producer’s choice in the LA music awards. "Standing for a Fall" is the latest album from Skii, following her 2016 EP “Don’t Look Back”: "This album is like a one woman protest. It’s an anthem for those standing up despite the threat of a fall. It’s about having no fear and being ready. Being ready to fight.” “Bound By History” was Skii’s triumphant 3rd album. Her first Album “Uncompromising” and her critically acclaimed second album “Foolish Girl” can also be found on Itunes.
