Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 אנטיביוטיקה Antibiotika is an Israeli post-punk/new wave band formed in 2005 by Dan Fabian Bloch and Guy Rosenblat. Inspired by late-’70s and early-’80s punk and new wave — from Television and Joy Division to Israeli acts like HaKlik and Nosei HaMivgahat — the band built a tense, urban sound exploring conflicting messages, emotional alienation, failed love, and existential restlessness, with Bloch writing most of the lyrics. Their debut mini-album 'Le’Or HaYom' (2008) introduced their sharp, minimalist aesthetic, followed by the full-length 'Lehishama LeHoraot HaShimush' (2011), which expanded their sonic scope. In 2013, they released the mini-album 'Aforizm', further refining their stripped-down post-punk identity. After a hiatus, the band reunited in 2018 and gradually transformed into a more electronic-leaning project. The 2020 release 'minimal souvenirs' marked a shift toward raw, synth-driven textures, and by 2021’s 'Leidseplein' the project had evolved into an intimate, drum-machine-led, one-man synth-wave mission. Since the reunion, Antibiotika continues to operate in this evolving format, balancing post-punk roots with minimalist electronic experimentation.

Search Add 3 Marcello Vento Italian drummer/percussionist and composer (1949 - 2013 Roma, Italy). Marcello Vento began his career in the rock Roman quintet Albero Motore. In 1976 he took part in a tour in Africa, becoming part of the Canzoniere del Lazio which, founded in 1972 with the aim of faithfully re-proposing popular songs from central Italy, was subsequently considered historically among the greatest examples of progressive folk in Italy, especially for the elaborations of the second half of the seventies. With the Canzoniere del Lazio he recorded and released 2 albums in the two-year period 1977/78. In 1978 Vento featureded in the progressive Mediterranean folk album, Carnascialia. He later had a long career as a jazz musician and drum teacher (he also collaborated with Antonello Venditti and Loredana Bertè), until his work with Jenny Sorrenti, in the first decade of the 2000s, who also enhanced his compositional and arranging qualities.

Search Add 3 Rafael Kozub Rafael Kozub Rafael Kozub & Damian Kozub, Cracow (Poland) duo’s activity dates back to late 70’s. The twin brothers, multi–instrumentalists–Rafael and Damian, started playing when they were kids in a band Pantograf that was a part of municipal transport corporation. The brothers created their own band a bit later with their then bassist (later the lead singer and the guitarist of the Cracow blues formation KGB) Paweł Małysiak "Pawka". Their activity of that time as well as studio recordings were still little bashful. Between 1982 and 1988 they recorded their music on tapes at a home studio and distributed them in Poland and abroad in samizdat by three publishing houses: B.N.exp, ARS2, AML. In 1986 Rafael and Damian started another group Fragmenty R–27 (later called simply R–27) Encouraged by another band’s success (ZAOS) R–27 they continued their artistic performance for the next four years. The line–up changed over the years: Andrzej Jarzyna was the first drummer, Piotr Nodzeń was the second bassist and Darek Kaszubski played bongos, still the core members stayed invariable: Rafael Kozub (keyboard and percussion, vocals and composer), Damian Kozub (percussion, vocals, piano and composing), Rafał Walczowski "Walek" (bassist), Piotr Łabuzek "Buzer" (trumpet, vocals and synthesizer) and Paweł Ochel "Rudy" (guitar and vocals). The brothers gave a lot of concerts with this controversial band in their home town Cracow (at a club and Podwawelski Cinema, twice at Nowohuckie Culture Centre (NCK), at Wola Zoo Club and Białoprądnicki Manor House, etc.) They also took part in a few big events such as: in Skawina – "O.D.K" club , in Katowice – "Akant" student club, at a "Festiwal Muzyki Odjazdowej", "O To Chodzi" club in Rzeszów, in Warsaw – "Remont" club and at "Marchewka" Festival in "Riviera" club – together with the composer Zbigniew Lampart – the then manager of Ludwik Solski Theatre in Tarnów. The mistrust towards those vigorous performances, however very remote from post–punk culture, that the band would give, made R–27 abandon further tours and giving accidental gigs. Apart from tape recordings the brothers published numerous brochures, papers such as: Alter – edited with Robert Kramaric and features – later used by Henryk Palczewski in his guide ARS2. In 1988 the brothers started publishing cooperation with Mariusz Błachowicz and in the middle of 1989 met musicians: Ireneusz Socha, Arkadiusz Franczyk and Andrzej Kramarz (Kirkut–Koncept and Na Przykład) with whom they recorded "Sen Wczorajszy" in October 1989. On emigration the brothers pursued solo careers. Having settled down in Rhineland – Westphalia (Germany) they carried out their musical projects till late 90’s – especially Damian who recorded even till 2007. The projects have been published on tapes and CD’s. His later attempt to start a band with Peter Sohn from Wuppertal wasn’t successful.

Search Add 3 Zombies Loves Videogames Matt Gallagher & Julie Rutherford Zombies Loves Videogames was a Chiptune/Emo project based in Port Macquarie, Australia. Founded in 2007 originally by Matt Gallagher and Owen Guttormsen, Matt and Owen created the band as a hobby rather than something serious and released the first EP in 2009 Where would be the only release where Owen would be present since at the end of that year he died from a car accident. After months, Matt decides to recruit Julie Rutherford (A friend who met her on Myspace) and for the following year, they decided to release the first full-length album. The duo released a total of: 2 albums (Pretty Bits Machine and The Living Sprites), 3 EPs (Self Titled, Penguins And Nintendo Games!! and Konami Code) and 1 live-album (Thx U Sm, UK <3) and 1 compilation (Untitled), The project lasted from 2007 to 2014 when Matt and Julie decided to leave the band because they wanted to pursue other projects not related to ZLV. And it wasn't until 2021 that they returned to work on the project and would create new songs again, although so far they haven't released anything yet. •Members• Matt Galmagher (vox, screams, programming) - 2007-present Julie Rutherford (backup vox, keyboard) - 2009-present •Former Members• Owen Guttormsen (keyboard, programming)[deceased] - 2007-2009

Search Add 3 Kathy Fleischmann Allmusc: Massapequa, NY, native Kathy Fleischmann is a gifted singer and songwriter. She began learning how to play the violin in the third grade, but gave it up after a couple of years. She went on to study both guitar and voice in her teens. In 1989 she left her home state to move to Florida. She performed often around her new sunny residence, and became a main member of alternative groups like Big Tall Wish and Poetic Injustice. In 1993 Fleischmann took her talents solo on a self-produced debut, Anamorphosis. A year later she had a six-track EP, Speaking Guillotine, ready for release. Her next work was Sympathetic Coffee, released in 1996, which carries all of the tunes from Speaking Guillotine, and six others to go with them. In 1998, Fleischmann finished up another album titled Ten Doors Down. Her music, mostly original number, is a smooth mixture of blues, pop, and progressive folk. Fleischmann travels a lot, playing at clubs and coffeehouses. She has lent her vocal skills on a number of recordings released by other musicians, and opened for artists like the Mavericks and Roger McGuinn. Xs Magazine and Miami New Times have both voted her Best Acoustic Performer. For 2000 Fleischmann recorded Live from the Cutting Room. "Graveyard Dream Blues," "Wild Strawberries," "Concrete Blankets," "Manhattan," and "Figure 8's" are some of the tunes fans can hear her play live on stage, or find on her recordings.

Search Add 3 غرام Gharam Alareeny = غرام العويني Gharam (Arabic: غرام العويني) is a Jordanian singer, model and actress. Gharam refuses to say her real name, and thus stated to her fans that her artistic name reflects her and there is no need to know her real name. Gharam has been crowned as the most beautiful Jordanian singer, by Sawsan Al Sayyed in her program “Malikat” on Hiya TV. She has been appreciated for her work and the difficult times she has encountered with the Arabic media, and especially the Jordanian public views. Gharam has shot a video clip for her song “Saddikni” and it was banned to be broadcasted for political reasons. The video clip included hot scenes and sexy shows of girls who danced in the mud and at the same time views from the devastating war that has been prevailing in the Arab countries for years. Many people resembled Gharam by the famous Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe. However Gharam refuses this resemblance, and stated that she is much younger than Haifa and each has her own style. As for accusing her of imitating Dana’s video clips, this has also created rumors in the media. Finally, Gharam and her fight with the Jordanian public, led her to declare that she quit being too expressive and will focus on art and music professionally. Gharam cannot break the Jordanian traditions on her own, and gets disappointed when she sees that the Jordanian public accepts Lebanese artists as they are and complain about Jordanian singers. The day will come when the Jordanian singer will prove to her country Jordan that through her music and style, she will succeed more than anyone else.
