Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Adwoa Hackman | Adwoa Hackman, born 22 July 1974 in Munich (Germany), is a singer, songwriter and music producer based in London. She experiments between the sounds of Soul music and alternative RnB, with a passion for tribal percussive elements mainly from West Africa and India. In her newest works, Hackman uses songwriting as a window to reflect on her own personal experiences. She writes about her identity as a black queer woman in today’s society, as well as about self love, empowerment and the complexity of relationships. Her lyrics are driven by the intention of personal healing and growth, and helping others on their own journey. Hackman also plays guitar, bass and drums, always driven by the desire to express herself in the music from all angles. Adwoa has lived in Berlin for 15 years. She has performed in numerous clubs and festivals and gathered an ever-growing community of supporters. She released two albums, [m=2148235] (Deep As The Ocean, 2011) and [r=18926809] (Exile, 2015), which she received widespread praise by the press and the public. Adwoa now lives in London and started releasing new songs in the beginning of 2021. She released her song ‘Love Intro’ on 21 February. Her second single ‘Sealed With A Kiss’ came out on 8 April. Search | Add | 3 | Marcello Vento | Italian drummer/percussionist and composer (1949 - 2013 Roma, Italy). Marcello Vento began his career in the rock Roman quintet Albero Motore. In 1976 he took part in a tour in Africa, becoming part of the Canzoniere del Lazio which, founded in 1972 with the aim of faithfully re-proposing popular songs from central Italy, was subsequently considered historically among the greatest examples of progressive folk in Italy, especially for the elaborations of the second half of the seventies. With the Canzoniere del Lazio he recorded and released 2 albums in the two-year period 1977/78. In 1978 Vento featureded in the progressive Mediterranean folk album, Carnascialia. He later had a long career as a jazz musician and drum teacher (he also collaborated with Antonello Venditti and Loredana Bertè), until his work with Jenny Sorrenti, in the first decade of the 2000s, who also enhanced his compositional and arranging qualities.

Search | Add | 3 | Thee|22|SekkT | It has been said that the human brain takes 7 seconds to register a particular sound. This might be true. But to register a sound doesn't really mean anything. One has to remember, appreciate, and properly listen to a sound. To listen is not the same as to hear. Think about it. Thee|22|SekkT has put the 7 seconds "rule" to the test and found that it doesn't work. 22 seconds are needed to truly listen and appreciate a sound. It takes a bit of time to register what your ears are hearing. It needs to be processed properly. With this knowledge, Thee|22|SekkT was born. And it will be of no surprise that all the sounds are exactly 22 seconds long. Thee|22|SekkT's method of working is elegant in its simplicity. A track is recorded and then subtly changed in pitch, tone, what have you, thus creating a tiny symphony of constantly repeating yet slowly evolving sounds. Because of this, headphones are advised, as some parts of the symphonies might become nearly inaudible when listening to them on a regular stereo system. This project has a distinct single goal: to make the listener appreciate 22 second snippets of sounds, any sounds. Be it drone, ambient, noise, trance or whatever.

Search | Add | 3 | Kindred Sol | Sam Spiers | Electronic sounds with a human touch... Kindred Sol is a project based equally on reflection and escapism, using the world around as inspiration, as well as the inner world of the imagination. In all likelihood, somewhere far out in outer space, there’s a sun similar to ours, orbited by a planet similar to ours. Over tens of thousands of years, perhaps this planet has also been moulded by humanoids - just like ours… If so, hopefully they’re doing a better job of respecting the planet and fellow lifeforms - including each other - than we are here. Kindred Sol is a project that reflects on our world and our condition (and conditioning). It is a project based on the idea that humans are capable of greatness, especially when working together, but also a project influenced by frustration at the position we find ourselves in, a position where it seems the future is rushing in at us much faster than we are moving forward to accept it. Part of what I am trying to achieve is music that either considers - or does its best to escape - the power of opposable thumbs (thumbs that can manipulate and exploit, create and destroy). Though the individual sounds are shaped from the pulse of electricity and the arrangement of 1s & 0s, the underlying tone is human in character - and the final output aims to be something as unique and as imperfect as each of us. |

Search | Add | 3 | Alcormusic | 2008.

For a while, the members were scattered in Piteå, Bollnäs, Västerås, Svalöv and Skurup, Later the band was based in Stockholm, except Erik Hammarström who lives in Malmö. Apart from the original bassist Johan Bengtsson from Piteå, who was replaced, the lineup has been stable since they formed in January 1993. A couple of months after forming they won a music competition where the prize was one day in the studio at Radio Västmanland. The result was the demo "… The Cat & The Fiddle", which in turn resulted in a gig at the Hultsfred Festival 1993. Unfortunately, someone stole their cords, pedals and other effects in their tent, so the concert on the Stora Dansbanan did not turn out as expected. In the spring of 1994, they recorded and mixed ten songs in three days. They were released as two demo cassettes, "Nicely Received In Germany" and "Kana Kapila", both reviewed in Sound Affects. In the summer of 1995, Piggy In The Middle released a four-song CD-EP, "Soap Operas", which was reviewed in Sound Affects # 28. And in the autumn of 1995 they signed a record contract with Solna-based Rainbow Music (MD) and released the debut album "Images And Distorted Facts", inspired by Bob Dylan's "Idiot Wind". All songs except one are taken from the EP and the two latest demo cassettes, and are very loyal to the originals.

Search | Add | 3 | Grete Lienert-Zultner | From Scola, Ortrun; Schiel, Annemarie: Transylvanian-Saxon female figures. Her life and work, Edited by the Country Team of the Transylvanian Saxons in Germany eV The father was a school principal and Ecclesiastes - he led the church choir and the Adjuvantenkapelle - the mother of a first trained with Adele Zay kindergarten teachers. Grete's wish was from childhood to become a teacher. She attended public school in Sibiu, where Minka Bruckner was their revered teacher, then the teacher-training college in Sighisoara. She was a popular, efficient and sangesfreudige student. Here they not only discovered her love for music but also for populist poetry of Anna Schuller Schullerus. In that time already developed the first experiments with dialect poetry, supported and promoted by the seminar director, Dr. Heinz Brandsch. After their completion in 1925 it was only a short time teacher, as they already in 1926 married the notary Michael Lienert and the then regional church provisions of married teachers were not allowed to continue teaching. This injunction was lifted only in 1937. But in addition to her family - she had two sons and a daughter - she served in the Women's Association, gave lectures and recitals together with Anna Schuller Schullerus, Luise Help leg and Gerda Miess-Lipponen. When singing with children and young people always created new songs, mostly in the Saxon dialect. Inspired by the folk tales of Anna Schuller Schullerus, Grete Lienert himself wrote plays and directed them also. Her most famous among them are: "Äm your uch Gläck" (To honor and happiness), "Bäm Brännchen" (The little spring), "Farmer Liesel" and "hu Fosnicht mer" (Shrove we have). All pieces are elegant, rich "folk poetry", characterized by simplicity and earthiness true (H. Mieskes). The profession of the husband as a civil servant brought frequent change of location with himself and opened up Grete Lienerts work always new circles of life and people who encouraged her art and encouraged: Schuster Dutz, Hans Mild - with which they brought out the later award-winning song "Ta Drimer" - Carl Reich Elder., Lena Kraus, Serious Irtel and Christine Maly part uva After 1937 taught Grete Lienert again, collecting in 26 years of teaching activity in Netus, Neustadt, because village Schaas and other places further knowledge to the Saxon folk song. It originated their songs in folk style: "De asters blähn Insem äm garden", "The Owend kit to chan". They are among the best known and sung as folk songs in Germany and America. Their dramatic poem "The burned Maid", a historical fabric of the Saxon past, was awarded a prize. In the dark years after the Second World War, the family Lienert suffered the fate of many compatriots: The husband was deported to Russia as a German, later came back as a patient, the family had to suffer expropriation, prohibition and difficult training of their children. During this time, Grete Lienert founded a folk song-singing group who also sang a record with 14 Lienert songs, and also an amateur game group that toured the Saxon villages with their stage and radio plays, and the country people brought encouragement and refreshment in their hard life . From 1963 the family lived in Sighisoara, where Grete a welcome fellow in the neighborhood, the church choir and literature circle was. From the singing group, a chamber choir which still exists today. In 1978 the family moved to West Germany and now lives in Traunreut. Again, Grete Lienert soon became a center of Music and Dramatic as a cultural consultant and helped the country team in the establishment of a Transylvanian choir with. Her songs are sung by all Transylvanian choirs, especially by the excellent "by Samuel Madrigal Choir Cantores Brukenthal Cibiniensis". In Germany two songbooks and tapes published two poetry. From restless creative tätigem Grete Lienert was called away unexpectedly on 1.4.1989.

Search | Add | 3 | Epsilon Jass Band | The Epsilon Jass Band was founded in 1963 when a diverse group of musicians (including Bud Bechtold and Don Greenwell) was recruited by Dr. Bob Shanahan to play for a fundraiser for a Child Guidance Clinic. (The band was named for a small town near Greenwell’s deer hunting camp.) Unified by their affection for traditional jazz, the membership was flexible and drew on practically all willing players in the northwest corner of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. The personnel included a dentist, a physician, a commercial pilot, several schoolteachers, a machinist, a retail businessman, a librarian, a manufacturer of hunting bows, a dental lab technician, an innkeeper, and a medical technician. The band usually plays with seven members. Four of the original six members have passed away.
