Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Spam Animals | Spam Animals is really only a convenient header for a series of ad-hoc collaborations which were done during 1986 & 1987. A lot of the material produced by this pairing was very much "tongue in cheek" and, to a certain extent, this puts the work in the category of a "fuck band" in that it was often about indulging in private jokes rather than trying to produce anything too serious.

Search | Add | 3 | Hilton Dive | Hilton Dive, a Dutch metal band was founded in early 2008 by bass player Michael van Loon, drummer Gijs Joosen, singer-guitarist Pim van Zuilen and guitarist Koen Koniuszek. The driving force behind these heavy metal enthusiasts and friends is a desire to produce a unique raw kind of mix of heavy styles like Trash, Sludge, Death and Post-Hardcore Metal. The group's main musical influences have been groups such as Cult Of Luna, Mastodon, Opeth, Red Fang, Pantera and Slayer. Their first self-titled demo [r11022401] was released at the end of 2008, also known as 'Falling Cat' due to cover artwork by Fleur van Zuilen. After playing the local venues, the band got to play at the Breda Barst festival in 2010. Released in late 2011, the 5-track EP [r10903200], was recorded in one weekend and consists of compact songs with a leading role for harmonized guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and an emphasis on melody. Many gigs were played and EPs sold, but Hilton Dive thirsted for more. May 2015 - Hilton Dive launched its first full length studio album called [r10857474] with producer Daan Janzing (Red Vultures, My Favourite Scar). The band created a 10 track monster which, without a doubt, is their best work yet. The custom album cover by Rutger Termohlen and unique packaging, makes 'I Am Become Death' a collector's item for both metal heads and art lovers.

The group plays acoustic chamber jazz and with tuba, saxophone and piano the trio creates a distinctive timbre expression. We meet three strong instrumentalists who gives us music that alternates between the extroverted frenetic and endlessly beautiful and contains simple, beautiful elements and the more "bizarre", complex and challenging. The trio composes and arranges all the music themselves. |

The idea of forming such a group first germinated in the brains of Richard Paquet and Michel Bessette, two long-time friends, who set out to find two other members. In December 1972, Carole Miville was introduced to them and "it clicked right away". A few days later, it is Richard Fortin who "embarks". After fierce rehearsals, they gave their first show in January 1973.

Search | Add | 3 | The Bag Of Joys | Icelandic band, formed in 1994, when a few friends who'd been making music together at home decided to start rehearsing properly and put together a live band. In 1995 they released a cassette called "Minnir óneitanlega á Grikkaland" (roughly translated as "Kinda reminds me of Greece"). It was limited to a total of 40 copies and managed to get bad reviews, which were then reprinted on the sleeve of their next release, the 7" single "Nú á ég vermand vini". This single was released in 250 copies later that same year. In 1997 the CD "Eins og ég var motta" ("Like I was a rug") was released, as a part of a Bad Taste Ltd series, a series of CDs that contained around 7 to 9 songs of a young underground band. For this record the band acquired a female vocalist, named Lena. They disbanded the same year.

Search | Add | 3 | Mirra Alfassa | Mirra Alfassa (21 February 1878 – 17 November 1973), known to her followers as The Mother, was a spiritual guru, an occultist and a collaborator of Sri Aurobindo, who considered her to be of equal yogic stature to him and called her by the name "The Mother". She founded the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and established Auroville as a universal town; she was an influence and inspiration to many writers and spiritual personalities on the subject of Integral Yoga. Mirra Alfassa was born in Paris on 1878 to a bourgeois family. In her youth, she travelled to Algeria to practise occultism under Max Théon. After returning, she travelled around the world and finally settled in Pondicherry, India with Sri Aurobindo and his followers. With growing numbers of followers, the settlement was turned into an ashram over the years, where she worked with Sri Aurobindo in establishing Integral Yoga and guiding its pupils. In 1943, she started a school in the ashram and in 1968 established Auroville, an experimental township free from discrimination of nationality, language, creed and politics. She died on 17 November 1973 in Pondicherry.

Search | Add | 3 | חבורת ראש כרוב | "Rosh Kruv" is a popular Israeli television program for children that was broadcast on Channel One in 1975, and rebroadcasted during the 1980s. The program had different corners, including the quiz corner; In this corner, the moderators asked questions and two competing children in the studio answered them. Every wrong answer forced the respondent to hold his hands a cabbage; The loser was the one who drops the cabbage from his hands. The program's opening song was written by Thelma Eligon and composed by Kobi Oshrat. In 1975, a record was released on Hed Artzi with the songs of the program, including a Hebrew translation of "On the Roof of the World" by the Carpenters. Yael Bar Zohar re-performed the theme song of the series in the children's tape "Radio Gan" (1997).
