Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

The five musicians interpret the traditions of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean in a personal way, combining both traditional and contemporary instruments with a rich range of rhythms and sounds and the polyphonic use of voices. The band’s focus lays on creating its own music singing in Sicilian dialect and mixing the stylistic diversities and strong personalities of the group members. This anthology is the most representative synthesis of Tammorra’s music.

Search | Add | 3 | Bendis | The band “Bendis” was a Niteroi Ska, Hardcore and Punk Rock band that emerged in 1995. Its last line-up included musicians Bruno GI Joe (vocals), João “PX” Pinaud (guitar and vocals), Lucas Benevides (guitar ), Maurício Machado (drums) and Ricardo Sá (bass and vocals), with Ricardo being the only remaining member of the original line-up. The band was named after a Portuguese version of the skate video “Ban This”, by Powell Peralta. “Bendis” began his work playing an unknown rhythm, Ska, in bars and parties in Niterói, São Gonçalo and Rio de Janeiro, and soon recorded his first demo tape on K7 called “O Início”. In 1999, Bendis played for the first time in another state, at the 4th Edition of the Goiânia Noise Festival. After that, he also played in São Paulo, Curitiba and Minas Gerais. In September 2001, the band entered the studio and recorded five songs from the EP “A Primeira Vez é Inesquecível” (2002), when bassist Ricardo became the official composer. At the end of the same year, the band Bendis made its second performance in São Paulo, including a debut at Hangar 110, a mandatory stage in the country's rock scene. He also began to frequent websites, magazines and newspapers. Still in 2001, guitarist Lucas joined the band to improve the rare solos in the middle of SKA's chords. In 2003, Bendis played in cities such as Araruama, Petrópolis and Rio Bonito. He also participated in a four-show tour in the interior of São Paulo and, in 2004, played at Bar do Blues, São Gonçalo; Bunker – RJ; Jet Club da Barra – RJ and in Araruama.

Search | Add | 3 | Alcormusic | 2008.

Search | Add | 3 | Ellen Valley Band | Started by Gwyn Thomas in 1975, the group all met at music sessions at the Sun Inn, in the north Cumbrian, UK, village of Ireby. Most of the group were also involved in morris, sword and clog dancing with the Carlisle team. The first Ellen Valley band gig was spring 1976, for Carlisle Climbing Club. Their monthly Ireby ceilidhs in the village hall, The Globe Hall, which they organised themselves (other gigs were bookings from other people of course) became legendary in North Cumbria, with people travelling from all over the county to them - and sometimes much further afield, especially for the fancy dress Christmas ceilidhs. The line-up changed over time, gradually coalescing into personnel on the first album, and after Paul and Louise Witty divorced and moved they lost them, but gained other members - including, Davey Potts from Warrington on guitar and keyboard and local singer and guitarist Eric Hope on guitar. After finally losing Gwyn when he moved away (mid-late 1980s?) they gained a musician Frank Lee playing melodeon and banjo. The band played for some 22 years - to 1997/1998 - but did occasional reunion ceilidhs for a number of years after that, most notable of which was 2005 Ireby Christmas ceilidh - a sell-out event to which came lots of former Ireby ceilidh regulars (some of whom had first attended as young children!). The Second album ’Through the World Spinning’ was notable for including some Lakeland and Cumbrian tunes which [a6466420] researched from old fiddlers’ manuscript tune books. Very few people were doing music of the area at that time.

Search | Add | 3 | Thee|22|SekkT | It has been said that the human brain takes 7 seconds to register a particular sound. This might be true. But to register a sound doesn't really mean anything. One has to remember, appreciate, and properly listen to a sound. To listen is not the same as to hear. Think about it. Thee|22|SekkT has put the 7 seconds "rule" to the test and found that it doesn't work. 22 seconds are needed to truly listen and appreciate a sound. It takes a bit of time to register what your ears are hearing. It needs to be processed properly. With this knowledge, Thee|22|SekkT was born. And it will be of no surprise that all the sounds are exactly 22 seconds long. Thee|22|SekkT's method of working is elegant in its simplicity. A track is recorded and then subtly changed in pitch, tone, what have you, thus creating a tiny symphony of constantly repeating yet slowly evolving sounds. Because of this, headphones are advised, as some parts of the symphonies might become nearly inaudible when listening to them on a regular stereo system. This project has a distinct single goal: to make the listener appreciate 22 second snippets of sounds, any sounds. Be it drone, ambient, noise, trance or whatever.

Its membership is compulsory for students.[1] It has 21,599,748 members (as of 2011),[2] making it the world's largest Scout association. Each year 14 August is celebrated as Pramuka Day to honour the organisation's first public parade in 1961, wherein independence hero Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX of Yogyakarta was appointed as the first Chief Scout of the GPI. With the 2013 education curriculum in effect, it is compulsory for all Indonesian students to join the scout movement as scouting is officially one of the study units in the curriculum. This contributes to the movement's recognition as the world's largest. The name Pramuka was derived from the acronym of "Praja muda karana", (Sanskrit: young people willing to work). The Pramuka word in Indonesia is currently often used as a term for scouting. |

Search | Add | 3 | Patrik L Johansson | Played straight heavy metal drums in the school band Vital Force in Sweden, Iron Maiden covers a.o. same years songs came out and own material, later founder of [a=Sorcery] with other founding members; his 3rd cousin [a=Fredrik Nygren] who united with [a= Ola Malmström], [a= Magnus Karlsson-Mård] and [a=Paul Johansson] in a group then called Acid Queen, and thus [a=Sorcery] was born, heavily inspired by Mercyful Fate, Kreator & Deathrow a.o. (though Sorcery existed in the imagination of Patrik already in 1985 inspired by Celtic Frost a.o.); their second demo would have been named Rivendell as a theme with 3 Dark Angel type of music songs (those written by Patrik like the song Halloween on their first demo), the band however wanted to join the new grindmetal scene, Patrik and Fredrik left the band due to differences in music and all agreed that Sorcery kept their name; so he's not on the album since they changed genres in 1989 though he seems to be on the frontcover... =)>>> (fullbearded man) So later Patrik L Johansson founded Rivendell playing more technometal/fusion drums with highpitch singer [a=Conny Åström], bass player Petter Eriksson from Higher Ground and Peter Sjöberg who later on changed genre to growl vocalbands and became Peter Lake in Theory in Practice...(PL first heard of Mekong Delta from Patrik having all their albums and knowing some of the songs on drums, so they jammed some MD as well as playing Yngwie's instrumental style early on, later PL laid some solos on MD records...but early 90's they strived to be Swedens best techno metal band, at least in rehearsals they were, nowadays that style is heard in Mastodon and Anima Morte songs)...before their record deal they (as a trio: Patrik with Peter & keyboardist/bass player Matthias from TIP) used to have jam sessions with classical influenced music and fusion as Mahavishnu, Confessor a.o. and rehearsals in the Sorcery/Rivendell place with own songs in that genre, much in the same way as Patrik's favorite band Lamb of God started inspired by Confessor early 90's and as LOG later on circa 1999 He shares the same grandancestors in the 5th generation on his mother's side with composer Bo Linde who studied under an old favorite composer Lars-Erik Larsson, and was a friend of Hans Eklund from the same county; and just like Bo Linde he don't follow trends but likes music with a deeper meaning. Another relative he never met was [a=Wolf Johansson], his father's cousin who had the same attitude towards music. He learned drums though from the local big band's drummer [a=Rolf Andersson] at an early age, where Wolf played at times. Jazz have always been a big part of the rockbands he likes, any famous good rock drummer always have listened to jazz. During Wolf's last years they e-mailed about shared ancestry information. He also has named the local Viking society where he lives Fafner, and made english translations for his mother's local history society in the neighbouring village around which he also works with genealogy as an Ancestor Detector. Favorite TV-show (since no more good old american series seems to happen anymore) is Black Adder's sidekick as host in Time Team and the coolest fullbearded (like himself) ZZ Top-style men on TV, though a pescatorian...in Duck Dynasty.

Abandoned by the light, the once providential horizon now resembles an opal fog, sticky and devoid of faith. Opal Insight is part of this atmosphere. A dark death metal emanating from limbo, melancholic and earthy. In line with a distress to a Swallow The Sun, a rough and harsh Opeth of the 2000s. Will the moonlight forgive the complicit silence of the night?
