Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Heromo Deuce | Heromo Deuce does not define himself as an artist through his real identity but creates it through his music. His debut "Human Machine Love" is therefore the complex result of his passion for music of all kinds. Especially influences of synthpop at the beginning of the 80s as well as drum and bass, big beat and downbeat are unmistakable. Playing piano and classical guitar in his youth encouraged him to write his own songs early on. Right from the start, the focus was always on expressing his own emotions through melodies. After producing several artists and a long creative break, he released his first solo debut, a moving collection of tracks focusing on the current theme of human machine interaction. A new track was created in collaboration with PR8werk. The feeling of being a constant prisoner of time was the inspiration for it.

Search | Add | 3 | كمال مسلم | Kamal Musallam | Born in Kuwait on June 8 1970, from very artistic parents, Kamal showed unique talents for drawing and playing music from the early age of 3. He started learning guitar at the age of 9 but took it more seriously when he was 17. Kamal was educated as architect and has went through various musical experiences throughout his young age and college times; of which were Arabic bands, Flamenco, Rock and Blues bands. Late 80's to early 90's, he started discovering more of Jazz sounds and got to know Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, George Benson, John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, among many others. In 1994 he moved to France, where he experienced another true musical atmosphere for four years, attending festivals and concerts in both France and Switzerland. He met artists from all over Europe and the world. There he created a more obvious interest for jazz, and developed his playing style. In 1997 he moved back for one year in Lebanon to work as architect; during which he met Ziad Rahbani and started to be a part of his ensemble. There he was convinced his real passion was music and nothing but that, and had to make a serious decision about his career, either to be an architect or a musician, and he chose to explore the musical world. That decision demanded a second trip to France to explore more into the core of the music industry. Kamal’s final return to settle in Jordan, led him to establish his own label K&G and to produce his first album ON A JORDAN RIVER’S SIDE, 2003. It was followed by Out Of MY CITY, 2008, LULU, 2009, SONGS FOR SEUNG-EUN, 2011, THE BEST OF KAMAL MUSALLAM, 2012, HOMEMADE IN ROME, 2014, and WORLD PEACE TRIO, 2017 and HANDMADE IN HUMMUS, 2020. A new collaboration with Billy Cobham, Kai Eckhardt and Gary Husband, among others, is still in production process and falls under the new project entitled "EastMania", expected to be released in 2022. Kamal is settled in Dubai since 2002, active locally and internationally as performer and producer. His main touring bands are Kamal Musallam Trio, Lulu Project, and EastMania. Other collaborations perform occasionally as World Peace Trio, with Gilad Atzmon and Dwiki Dharmawan, and Sea Of Strings, with Dominic Miller (longtime STING's right hand), and Jason Carter. Musallam is currently playing the nylon Silent guitar™ and the newly developed Trans-Acoustic models by YAMAHA, the electric Multi-Oud by GODIN. In 2017, he had developed with IBANEZ his signature guitar models, the electric KMM1 and the nylon fretless KMA1 both released in 2010, and later the high end electric model KMM100 released in 2014, all with a dedicated “quarter tones” playing facility, opening new horizons for guitarists to experiment with additional sounds non existing on standard guitars. Kamal played along with: STING, George Benson, Billy Cobham, Bobby McFerrin, Bob Franceschini, Randy Brecker, Ada Rovatti, Stanely Jordan, Ranjit Barot, Anne Ducros, Dwiki Dharmawan, Andy Suzuki, David Reinhardt, Jorge Pardo (Paco De Lucia Sextet), Francisco Molina, Israel Varela, Volker Schlott, and many others. |

Search | Add | 3 | Anima Corpus | Once upon a time there were five of us. The youth and nonconformity gave birth to “The Dirge”. For two years we had been playing black-doom metal. That lasted till the passion for classical instruments which was rooted since the childhood, come to the front, thus substituting pathos and outrageous behavior. It is then when we came up with “Usypalnitsa Duha” (eng. “Spirit Shrine”), and there became seven of us. By adding three other guests, we recorded a gothic album like we imagined it to be then. The way we were feeling it. Taking the opportunity, we remembered our native language, and sang in it. After that was the period of wandering, storming and winding – no use in talking about them. Now here are two of us. Today we are “Anima Corpus" (Latin for “Spirit Shrine“). The understanding to change the name occurred while making a new album. All the more so this new material can hardly be called logical development of the previous project. One thing is for certain – we did not betray ourselves and have recorded the very essence of our internal experience, disguising it in florid garments of notes and words.

Search | Add | 3 | Brooks Poston | One-time Manson associate Brooks Poston surfaced from Death Valley and embarked on a brief musical tour of Los Angeles with a lovely and multi-talented female partner, Jane Boltinhouse. They were seeking to promote sales for three cassette albums they had recorded in 1984. Jane Boltinhouse, after divorcing Wings Hauser, appears to have become involved with former Manson follower Brooks Poston in the late 70's/early 80's. They formed a musical duo that performed briefly in Southern California in the early 80's, and released some music on cassette. Brooks Poston & Jane Boltinhouse followed their guru, Paul Crockett to Northern Washington State. There Brooks & Jane continued as 'NORTHERN LIGHTS' performing a number of 'DESERT SUN's original songs. Northern Lights reappeared in Southern California in the mid-eighties and performed a few concerts while selling three Cassette Tapes of their music along with Posters and Tee-Shirts. But soon they were called back to Washington State by their mentor. This music seems to have been professionally recorded because an orchestra and choir can be heard throughout as well as other background singers and musicians.

Search | Add | 3 | Larry Gore | Larry Gore (1923-1973) was a Bronx-born comedy writer and public relations man whose clients included stars such as John Wayne, Anita Ekberg, Red Skelton, Tina Louise and Tiny Tim -- he was publicist for the wedding of Tiny Tim to Miss Vicki on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show." He wrote for MAD Magazine from the 1950s to the early 1970s, and was also MAD's first public relations man. Beginning sometime in the late 1950s he would sometimes get masthead credit as "Propaganda Minister" or being in charge of "Publicity Lies." Gore would plant fake newspaper column items reporting crazy things like MAD was going to publish a waterproof edition that could be read in the shower, or that its employees were paid in $2 bills. MAD publisher William Gaines perhaps paid him the highest complement possible in a 1960 interview: "I didn't think we needed a press agent, but Feldstein did. What Gore says embarasses me. I can't communicate with him. He's even madder than we are. But I suppose if we've got to have a press agent, we might as well have a Mad one." It is claimed by some that Larry Gore was the only MAD writer who was kicked off the magazine for being too Mad. He is credited with several famous back covers skewering Richard Nixon, some published posthumously by the magazine. Larry was also a comedy publisher in his own right. He wrote a truly looney newspaper comic strip called "Larry Gore's Thing" with MAD artist Bob Clarke providing the art. It ran from 1968 to 1972 in Newsday and was syndicated around the country as well for a while. Oh, yeah...he made some comedy records, too...

Search | Add | 3 | Twisted Desire | David Olsson | Psy-trance / Progressive Trance / Full-on project & DJ producer from Sweden, based in Cyprus Other project "Future Desire" (Ambient / Trip Hop / Free Trap) / Also Sound Engineer I was born in Sweden -87 in a town called Kungsbacka. My father bought me a guitar when I was 12 and around that time I where listening to metal and hardrock. I ́ve got intressed in electronic music at a age of 14 when I tried to find new metal band's, I searched for 666 thinking it was a metal band , but it wasn't it where techno... and to my surpise I loved it. I was the only one in my friend group listening to electronic music and started soon to play along with my electric guitar to electronic music. My father bought me a midi synth in 2002 so it was then I started creating electronic music, and I was fiddling around with my synth creating wierd sounds and beats. I have always been creative and doing wierd things, not only music but I also paint, draw, building things and spinning poi's.I started djing in 2002, at that time I was only 15 so it was just for fun at that time. My first set where I played my own music was in 2007 and from there I started to create my name in Sweden. I have since then played at alot of different venues and forest's around in SwedenNow I live in Cyprus and have 3 albums in total released, 1 by "Geomagnetic records" 1 with "Hi-Trip records" and the latest album released by "Timelocks" record company "Dropzone records"I make music with my own sound and style, When I've started the project "Twisted Desire" in 2013 I had one goal in my mind, To make people dance and be happy, I create psytrance and try to keep a unique style and soundscape. My biggest influences in music have been Timelock, Astrix, Skazi, Vertical Mode, Infected mushroom, Flyh, Shpongle, Sesto sento, Psiralfe and of coarse alot more. For me, music is all about feelings and emotions and I feel that Psytrance is the genre that I can express this the best.
