Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

| Search | Add | 3 | Sonny Caulfield | Alan Campbell Reid "Sonny" Caulfield (1933-2011) | Alan Campbell Reid "Sonny" Caulfield was born in 1933 in Verdun a Montreal suburb, the last of three children born to newly arrived Scottish parents. He studied classical piano from 1942-1947 and in 1955 plunged headlong into music full time. After 18 months playing with his trio in saloons in Montreal, a lucky break led to his being "discovered" at Montreal's fabled Supper Club, El Morocco. In two separate stints, he spent almost three years at this elegant nightclub, first as pianist/singer in the cocktail lounge, then adding to his job description the title House Master of Ceremonies. It was here that the show-business education really took place, presenting the opportunity to introduce international stars and watch them work 14 shows each week. In 1968, Sonny accepted a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation offer of 26 weekly issues of a live talent-development show called "Sunday Morning" on which he led a quartet as Music Director. Thirteen weeks into "Sunday Morning", time and budget became available for a major music show, and Sonny was offered the job of Music Director and featured performer. He also ended up writing and producing the show, "Islands and Princesses." It was live-to-tape, shot intentionally in black and white, and featured a blend of Classical and Pop music, sung in a variety of languages. 56 episodes were shot and played across the CBC Network. Work on the series ended by May, 1970. Then came "Luncheon Date with Elwood Glover", which had been running as a radio show five days a week for six years in downtown Toronto. Now there was talk that the show would move to television and expand to accomodate a studio audience. Sonny Caulfield would lead the house jazz trio. For the next five years "Welcome to Luncheon Date with Elwood Glover" was a staple of daytime television, featuring the Sonny Caulfield Trio. Over the next five years, visiting musicians included Buddy Greco, Roger Whittaker, Gene Krupa, Buddy DeFranco and Ella Fitzgerald, not to mention performers known best by the primarily Canadian audience. In August, 1975, "Luncheon Date" went off the air and Sonny moved to London with his family. Sonny returned to Montreal and Toronto in 1982, and took engagements in smaller, less glamourous venues, content now to just play music without the hassles of the big cities. In 1986, Sonny accepted an engagement at a hotel in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, looking forward to a lazy summer on the beautiful Island. The engagement, which was to run four months, is still going strong nineteen years later. (1933-2011) Peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit, Prince Edward Home, on Saturday, March 5, 2011, of Mr. Sonny Caulfield of Charlottetown and formerly of Montreal, Que., Toronto, Ont. and London, England. Dear father of Reid Caulfield (Lisa Baldwin) of Los Angeles, California and Sarah Caulfield (Sean Brady) of Hove, United Kingdom and her mother, Susan McLean. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Georgina (nee Reid) Caulfield and his sister, Sheena Ring and brother, William Caulfield. This blue and red so black and white, it’s taken over everything!” EG Vines is an artist who leans into the sociopolitical and the release of his latest single, “Them,” is his first chance to release music during a U.S. Presidential election year. The intoxicating division that seems to stay at fever pitch won’t start to tamp down until as a Vines channeling Zack de la Rocha says, we “take the power back!” In a personal sense, Vines took his power back in the fall of 2019 giving his two-week notice to a ten-year career leading energy conservation efforts at a Fortune 500 company in order to tour and focus on songwriting. “Jesus spent 40 days in the desert tempted to give up what he came to earth to do and it took me 10 years in corporate America,” Vines laughs. While the pandemic effectively shut down touring plans for the rest of 2020, Vines used his newly freed time to fine tune and record several singles that point to a full-length record in 2021. A Nashville resident since 2009, Vines says he spent most of the 2010s “drunk, plump and stupid” playing with various rock bands before debuting as a solo artist with 2018 EP Conversation. The full-length follow-up Family Business was released in the fall of 2019 and featured songs in regular rotation on Nashville’s Lightning 100, airplay on XM radio, placements in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Pop Matters and NPR, among others. Drawing comparisons to Neil Young, Jason Isbell and 90s alt-rock acts like Pearl Jam and REM, Vines has developed an eclectic roots rock sound and he aims to approach songwriting from angles less traveled. “Sure, there are plenty of blatant anti-Trump songs – and I might even call him a name in an upcoming song – but I always strive to give people something more than surface level. If I didn’t make you think a bit, I feel like I didn’t do my job.” Look for a steady cadence of singles, videos and potentially cover tunes across the fall before what Vines hopes is plenty of touring in 2021. “The folks that played on this record have been with me for a bit and we’re getting pretty tight. Stay with us and we’ll make sure to give you something special when we’re able to play shows again.” |

His poetry is written in the Hamadani dialect of the Persian language. According to L. P. Elwell-Sutton he probably wrote in the Hamadani dialect, adding: "Most traditional sources call it loosely Luri, while the name commonly applied from an early date to verses of this kind, Fahlaviyat, presumably implies that they were thought to be in a language related to the Middle Persian language. Rouben Abrahamian however found a close affinity with the dialect spoken at the present time by the Jews of Hamadan." Or because of his U Wanna Escape? party hosted in clubs like Sankeys Ibiza with guests of the like of Sonja Moonear, Maayan Nidam, Alex Picone or Binh. He has shared the booth with every top artist on the scene and his sets have been heard from all around Europe at clubs and festivals like Altavoz Festival, Tag Club (Venice), Chalet, MFG Club (Berlin), Cirque Paradis (Paris), The Ditch (London), La Ruche (Laussane), Goa @ Fabrik, Weekend, Charada (Madrid), Velvet, Heaven (Gran Canaria), Miniclub, Friends, Foc in Festival (Valencia), Sonar Off, Life Parade (Barcelona) and now based in Ibiza at the most of the clubs and events around the island like Ushuaia Beach Club, Space, Pacha, Destino, Booom or Privilege. All this, leaving behind important residences last years like Sankeys, Plan Be, El Ayoun in Ibiza or Club 7 Madrid. And in Tenerife being part of the most biggest events like Eolica Festival, Magma Meeting or Sunblast Festival playing almost at every edition and warming up the dancefloor for people like Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola or Luciano. His very first residence was with just 18 years old at the Club-Afterhours BB+ Tenerife, where he left a deep mark in the whole scene, after ten years (1999-2009) in front of the saturday night and sunday morning sessions. With an experience and a musical background that only years can give, his sets guarantee quality, class and know-how. But all of this is held together with aggressive riffing, tight chops, and bottom heavy melodies, resulting in a tight unit of relentless energy. Gordon Bolles provides the grinding six string work, supported by Dragan Stojkovski's pounding, punchy bass lines. Jake Samulski's precise drumming somehow keeps all of this mayhem in order. Overhead, Bryan Musial's vocals drift in compassionate melody, then take a nose-dive with razor claws aimed right for your throat. The band recorded and released their debut EP in January of 1996 and watched as the first print of 400 sold out almost instantly. One year later they recorded their first full length album which hugely surpassed sales of their EP. Soon after, having the opportunity to open for such national acts as Coal Chamber, Pro-Pain, Crisis, and Voivod. They have taken the hardcore genre and renovated it. Motherbirth packs Buffalo venues, where they find swarms of educated fans waiting for them at the front, and sometimes upon the vibrating stage. Members of the audience match Musial word for word as he preaches his heart during tunes like, "Fade Away" and "Downtime." Not only is Motherbirth's music superb, their stage presence and image are truly enthralling. The guys are highly active, as they bounce all over the stage while never missing a note. It wouldn't be fair to say they dress to the image of their musical genre, they live it. They're a charismatic, musically honest, down to earth bunch of guys. The group formed and began writing in early 1994 and, after the addition of Musial on vocals in 1995, has grown like a weed in terms of popularity and musical prowess. | |

In the beginning of 1970's, her musical taste had change, and she was no longer interested in the kind of music she did with Valle, [a1237687], and [a1194551]. For instance, a report of the newspaper Correio da Manhã (Rio de Janeiro) from April 14, 1970, says that she would return in September that year to the United States, in order to sing for [a168907] during a tour across American universities. During 1972 and 1973, still using Anamaria Valle as her artistic name, she sung for Rock Ebó, a band in the same vein of [a393406] that included [a533964] (later a member of [a972581], which also backed artists such as [a83763], [a83724], [a130782], [a2059261], [a83770], [a336605], and [a400277]) on guitars, [a6431823] on bass, [a755731] on percussion and [a2852674] (the original drummer for [a4257828], the band of Raul Seixas in the early days of his carrer) on drums. It was her first psychedelic rock band. After Rock Ebó ended in 1973, she decided to relaunch her musical career as “Oriana Maria”. Between September, 1973, and June, 1974, she travelled to Argentina, in order to record songs and to offer them to Record Companies. In those record sections, she was helped by [a2446178] and the musicians of [a2976163]. She even recorded a Portuguese version of [a1333226]’s classic “Jugo de Tomate”. She pressed a very small quantity of 7” EPs with three songs of those sections, titled Arembip I (allusive to the hippie community of Arembepe, located in Bahia, Brazil, where she lived). In October, 1974, a short story about her career moment was published on the Brazilian magazine “O Cruzeiro”. Although every effort was made to sign a contract with a Record Company, she did not make it. Still in 1978, it was possible to find reports on newspapers about her concerts under the alias of Oriana Maria. |
