Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Dogkennel Hill | Dogkennel Hill | Tim Bewlay is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. His musical career started as a teenager in the late 70's, playing his first original songs in folk clubs around the UK, gathering a band together to record and tour around Europe. During the 80's, he gigged extensively with different line ups including an appearance at the legendary Glastonbury Festival. As the 90's approached, Tim concentrated mainly on writing, recording and setting up his own publishing company and studio – he was involved in the recording and production of BLUEBOY'S 1997 UK hit single REMEMBER ME. A conversation with old friend Guy Bailey led Tim to a stint playing bass in Guy's internationally successful band the QUIREBOYS and the beginnings of the idea for the project that was to become DOGKENNEL HILL. The band recorded their first album, the alt country tinged SWEETHEARTS OF THE RODEO which was released worldwide to critical acclaim in 2000. The album also featured as rhythm section Dave Tregunna (SHAM 69, LORDS OF THE NEW CHURCH) on bass and top London session drummer Simon Hanson (Grace Jones, Squeeze). This line up played several select London Shows including Shepherd's Bush Empire. After a four year hiatus which saw some line up changes including Guy's departure and a relocation to France for Tim, work began on the follow up album ALL THE KING'S HORSES which took the band into darker and more introspective territory. They played a few London shows including the 100 Club and then moved on to tour the new record around France to their growing following. Since then, whilst continuing to perform live all over France, Tim has been designing and building anew studio at his home in the Breton countryside and working on film soundtrack music. As we move into 2016/17, Tim has just completed his first novel, a rock n roll mystery adventure called THE BALLADE OF NIXON TYME and is currently in the studio recording his third album. |

Search | Add | 3 | Plan B Pursuit | Plan B Pursuit began in Boerne, Texas where two young, lazy restaurant workers (Tim and Jake) met in 2003. After their separate bands (Scamper, Forever Glass) broke up, the young punks began to practice each other's songs in parking lots. After a few months, the practice sessions turned into shows at apartments and street corners. In May of 2005, the duo recorded their first full length (And All I Got Was This Lousy...) with Jake on guitar and Tim on bass and drums, while the two shared vocal and writing duties. The album was released with an overtly positive reception. In June of 2005, the band received an email from Smokey (Filthy & the Muff Divers) applying for the job of percussionist for the band. After the lineup was completed, Plan B Pursuit began playing shows around Texas and building a fan base worldwide. In 2006, the trio began writing and demoing songs for their sophomore release. After playing with bands like The Toasters, No Use For a Name, Whole Wheat Bread, and Cobra Skulls, the band began recording their second full length (Under Your Hat) in December 2006. After a long and frustrating production process, the album is due to be released in stores in July 2008, along with a West coast tour of the United States.

Some influences: Can, Eno, Eric Satie, Gong, Hawkwind, Jade Warrior, King Crimson, Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Philip Glass, Tangerine Dream, musique concrète, 20th Century atonal classical music and sampling (not necessarily in that order). We might remind you of (tongue in cheek): Can meets Jade Warrior and Tangerine Dream in a bar for a few beers while listening to Harold Budd, Ozric Tentacles and William Orbit. Then they head off to an after-hours club to drink single malt whisky while Steve Tibbetts and Steve Roach fire-up odd percussion and old-school electronics for a jam with Hawkwind and King Crimson refugees.

Search | Add | 3 | Rosborough | Glenn Rosborough | Glenn Rosborough is a singer songwriter from Derry, Northern Ireland. In a city steeped in music and performance he grew up in a household full of records that became his influences. “I started my musical life from a very early age, teaching myself guitar at the age of ten and writing songs from the year after. Growing up in a musical household, with childhood heroes such as Tom Waits, Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel, becoming a musician was not a destined path but as realistic a career as becoming a lawyer, plumber or doctor. My parents made sure of that.” Rosborough cut his teeth in the vibrant music scene in Derry, playing regular shows at Bennigan's and the Warehouse which allowed him to try new songs on an audience full of writers and performers. This cultural hub served him well, allowing him to cultivate and refine an album’s worth of songs that attracted the attention of Ignition Records to whom he signed in 2017. This year Glenn has been on tour both as a headline artist and supporting some great acts including The DMAs, Mew and Seafret throughout the UK and Europe. He has also appeared at festivals such as the Great Escape and Community Festival, showcasing new songs whilst building a great live reputation and loyal following. |

Search | Add | 3 | Roman Zavada | Roman Zavada is a self-taught Ukrainian-Québécois pianist whose creative direction is based on instinct, spontaneity, and improvisation. With a pianist for a mother, he got to know the instrument from his early childhood, penning his first composition at the tender age of 4. He then undertook conservatory studies but quickly opted for the path of self-study and experimentation, which suited him far better. He soon developed a taste for the stage, refined his improvisational skills, and released two self-produced albums (Terre de feu, Nuit des temps). In 2005, he took on a responsibility that marked a turning point in his career: replacing Gabriel Thibodeau, the Cinémathèque québécoise silent film accompanist. Invigorated by the experience, he put together the Du cinéma muet au piano parlant show, a resounding success in regions across the entire province of Quebec. After acquiring quite the reputation as a silent film accompanist, he now presents an all-new project: Résonances boréales. Returning to his personal compositions, the pianist continues to explore the dialog between piano and images, this time substituting silent films with aurora borealis in motion in the night sky. He will put his creativity to the test in an extraordinary environment: the Northwest Territories’ boreal forest. This very particular initiative – with no equivalent in the entire world – will lead to a new album and immersive performance experience featuring 360-degree projections in February 2016. Through these two daring, authentic productions, Zavada continues like no other to push the limits of the piano, his only true mother tongue.
