Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Ansuman Roy | ANSUMAN ROY (1936-1990) Date of Birth – 19th August 1936, Jhargram, West Bengal, India Place of Work - Bengali Classical and Folk and Contemporary Music Family: Parents – Late Rampada Roy, Late Bibhabati Roy Spouse – Late Kamala Roy Children – Bhaskar Roy, Antar Roy, Meita Guha Roy Education – Kumud Kumari Institute, Jhargram Raj College Ansuman Roy was considered as one of the most eminent Bengali versatile singer who had enriched Bengali Music with a huge number of varieties. Though most people remember him as a Legendary folk artist but his devotional songs, Nazrulgeeti and Modern Bengali songs (Swarna-Juger Gaan, Songs of the Bengali Golden Period) were equally popular and was marked as all-time hit music. Early Life Ansuman Roy was born and brought up in Jhargram, now a district of West Bengal on 19th August 1936. As a kid, he had a huge interest in Bengali music. His music training was started by one of his uncle (father’s friend) in his locality. Though music reign in his gene, at that moment there was no one in his family who was directly associated with music. Later on, Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh trained him on Bengali Light music. In his early life, he was a Radio- Artist and was frequently audible at All India Radio (AIR India, Akashvani). During this period he was involved in various research work on Bengali folk, especially the folk music of Radh-Bengal (South West Bengal). He played the pioneering role to introduce the flavour of Jhumur-Vadu-Tusu to the urbanized world. His kin interest in instrument was also well known. The Santhali instrument Madal was a regular component of his music composition. The first music record of Ansuman Roy was recorded in 1971 from Hindusthan Record. Music Career In his Music Career he had worked with many legendary figures of Bengal, such as- Prabir Majumder, Sudhin Dasgupta, Gauri Prasanna Majumder, Aloknath Dey, Pulak Bandyopadhyay, Shibdas Bandopaddhyay, Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna De, Manabendra Mukherjee, Shyamal Mitra, Sandhya Mukherjee, Nirmala Mishra Banashree Sengupta, Arati Mukherjee and many other contemporary artists. His tonal quality, the pitch of voice, clarity in music makes him different from others and people considered him as a genius in Bengal folk music. His genre of music is highly adopted by young musicians and is used by many banners even today. But the only grievance in this pretext is that they forget to acknowledge the name of this legendary composer. One of his most remarkable work on music and also on the socio-political aspect for the War of Independence of Bangladesh (Muktiyuddha of Bangladesh) was “Shono Ekti Mujibarer Theke”. This song is considered as one of the main patriotic songs in Bangladesh and is sang after the National Anthem - “Amar Sonar Bangla Ami Tomai Valobasi”. The lyrics of this song was written by Gauri Prasanna Majumder, and Ansuman Roy composed the music and sang this song. He was felicitated with Bangabandhu Gold Medal in 1975 for this historical song. In 1978 he won the Best Male Singer Award for the film Charmurti for the song “Ghochang Fu, Khabo Toke”. | Search | Add | 4 | Eric Easton | Eric Easton (1927–1995) was an English record producer and the first manager of British rock group [a=The Rolling Stones]. Originally from Lancashire, he joined the music industry playing the organ in music halls and cinemas. By the 1960s he had moved into management and talent spotting, operating from an office suite in London's Regent Street. Easton met [a=Andrew Loog Oldham] in 1963; Oldham wanted to sign an unknown band, called the Rolling Stones, about whom he was enthusiastic. After a number of problems on an American tour, in 1965 Oldham decided to oust Easton from the partnership and bring in New York promotor Allen Klein. Oldham persuaded members of the group to support him and Easton was sacked. The band, with the exception of [a=Bill Wyman], acquiesced. Easton launched a number of lawsuits for breach of contract, and eventually settled out of court for a large sum. In 1980 he and his family emigrated to Naples, Florida, where he went into business; his son, Paul, also became a music manager and booking agent. | |

A dark warehouse, a distant strobe light and unrepentant dancing by people from all walks of life with an affinity toward the darkness of repetitive delayed out reverberating basslines and drum beats. This is what I recall of my first underground party under the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit, circa 2001. This experience spoke to me. In fact, this event set the stage for what has been 20 years of musical cultivation and growth. Many life detours have taken place along the way, but techno has been a constant through it all. |
| Search | Add | 4 | Flottans Musikkår I Stockholm | Swedish military band, Flottans musikkår i Stockholm, in its final years Andra militärmusikkåren, operated in various forms between 1522 and 1971. As early as the founding of the Swedish Navy by the then-regent Gustaf Eriksson in 1522, a number of musicians were employed for music service within the navy. During the following centuries, the band operated at the Stockholm Naval Station in various forms until its activities temporarily ceased after the entire then-band was killed in the First Battle of Svensksund in 1789. Musical activities resumed again in 1802 and in 1814 the band was formed in modern form. The band then belonged to the Naval Artillery Company in Stockholm until 1833 when it was transferred to the newly formed Marine Regiment. After a few years, the band developed into the Navy Band in Stockholm, which, in a reorganization in 1909, received a modern instrumental ensemble of 45 men. The organization was kept more or less unchanged until the 1956 music organization with effect from 1 April 1957 when it became part of the Marine Music Corps and one of three bands in Stockholm. Further reorganization took place in 1961 when the name was changed to Andra militärmusikkåren, which then became part of Militärmusiken. Since there were only two military bands in Stockholm at the time, the band performed in the Army uniform and also contributed to the staffing of Första militärmusikkåren's mounted division. When the military band ceased in 1971, the band merged with Första militärmusikkåren and became Stockholmsmusiken within Statens regionmusik. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Port Talbot Cymric Male Choir | The Cymric as it is affectionately known is one of the oldest choirs in Wales having been established in 1911 by Mr John Bowen Davies. During the 1920’s and 30’s it competed regularly in local Eisteddfodau and during this period it sang at some unusual and interesting venues. In 1927 it fulfilled a week’s booking at The Palace Theatre Blackpool for the princely fee of £75.00, and in 1935 was invited by Randolph Hearst the newspaper magnate to sing at St Donat’s Castle in South Wales for celebrities of the film and newspaper world. The choir has had the privilege of appearing at The Royal Albert Hall in London in the presence of the Queen and HRH Prince Phillip and is extremely proud of the fact that during a concert tour of Deeside Aberdeenshire in 1990 the choir was invited to sing at Crathie Church Balmoral when both the Queen and HRH Prince Edward were in attendance. The Queen expressed her delight at the choirs singing and subsequently invited Choristers to Balmoral Castle. In May 1991 Rita Macneil , made a concert tour of the UK and during her appearance at St David’s Hall Cardiff she invited the Cymric on stage where she expressed her delight at the ‘Cymric’s rendition of her song ‘The Working Man’ and subsequently graciously allowed the choir to perform additional items. | Search | Add | 4 | A Dozen Dying Roses | In these increasingly violent times, heavy music has become just as brutal. A Dozen Dying Roses are the emotion of today’s youth. Formed in 2004 from the ashes of numerous fallen bands, ADDR has risen. Through passion, conviction, and pure hostility towards the society that has been built around them, like many great sounds, sorrow and hope are the catalyst. Like most bands the age of its members plays a part in the how the songwriting is influenced. ADDR ranges in age from 19 to 29. This makes for an interesting mix of old school hardcore and metal traditions, and modern day melodies and ideals. Basically it’s metal as haunting as the Swedish innovators, with breakdowns that rival the heaviest hitters of today. With 2 successful demos under there arm ADDR are ready for bigger and better things. Through dedication this band has become a force in there scene and are growing in popularity with every venture made from there home in Staten Island, NY. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Neon Wolf Music | Neon Wolf | Neon Wolf, born in 1992 in Cagliari, Italy, is a composer and producer who ranges between synth pop and synth rock. His name comes from two elements: the neon lights characteristic of the 1980s and the wolf, the animal that fascinates him most. Growing up in the 1990s among video games and action movies, including the myth of Top Gun, a passion passed on by his father, from the age of 14 he threw himself into music in a rock band with friends and schoolmates, as a drummer, and later experimented with different roles, including singer. In 2021 the first solo work, with the album Tactical Action, oriented on the synthpop, synth rock genre, with an atmosphere inspired by classic video games and action movies. A tribute to the music of his favorite movies and video games, such as Escape From New York, Metal Gear Solid, Die Hard and many others. His music explores a distant era, but also wants to become something new. In July 2024 the first hit single, Memories, dedicated to parents, childhood memories and the world of arcades. In fall 2022 the first collaboration, with a book trailer anticipating the soundtrack to Rick Shelley, a book series by writer Alessandro Fusco. The full album, namesake of the first book, is released in October 2024, and is designed to be listened to while reading. Here he mixes different genres, from dark synthwave to prog, to recall big names like Carpenter. |

The second set of recordings were recorded at a 5+ day marvelous musical marathon with many singers and guests staying at the home of Sandy and Caroline Paton, a remodeled barn in Sharon, Connecticut. Music was made together for a week or so and recorded. These were not exactly well-controlled recording situations. Microphones were set up, levels set and buttons were pushed before the engineer took up his pace in the chorus. There would often be experimenting with harmonies on a new song while scrubbing pots and pans during food breaks. Members reformed in somewhat smaller gatherings for further recordings: [a=Sharon Mountain Harmony]: [r=9316994] Twos On a Night Like This: A Christmas Legacy For All the Good People, A Golden Ring Reunion. | |
