Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Mordum Terrorist | "Ever felt at peace with the clanging sound throbbing against your head? The music fades away to senseless, monotonous pandemonium. You risk going deaf, but you only live this life once despite having just a single pair of ears. You decide to allow a few more minutes of this mayhem and then you decide to surrender. Inspiration suddenly seems more important than preserving sanctity or sanity. Rationalization flies into dead oblivion as you are born again; in the same body, but with a different mind. They called rock 'the music of the devil', little realizing that all humans are inherently Satanic as they are divine. The same people that loved wars, manipulation and all that jazz! Maybe they were right; but in being right they neglected their deep yearning for chaos. The kind that appears to be premeditated and synchronized and is still beyond control. The love for chaos is a necessity. Without chaos, we tend to undermine the need for its less-conceited better half - peace. Yet chaos remains the evil twin, the neglected sheep(I have issues with the term 'black sheep'), like Cain, the cursed one. Again, Cain existed so that Able would be favoured. I don't love chaos. I merely respect it."

It traces its roots in December of 1991 when a group of musicians started to schedule concerts in their spare time and receiving for that a formal appreciation by the Minister of the Culture of the Republic of Latvia, composer Raimonds Pauls. On January 3rd of 1992 — also in order to substitute the old Band of the Baltic Military District (Baltijas kara apgabala štāba pūtēju orķestris) that was a Military Band of the Soviet Army then stationed in Latvia — the orchestra began to work officially as the Orchestra of the Latvian National Armed Forces. Its first CD "Latvijas Republikas Nacionālo bruņoto spēku Ceremoniju mūzika" was released on February 15th of 1999; the second CD "Impresijas" had been released in 2001 and the third CD "Dziesmu Saule" has been released on June 2007. The Orchestra of the Latvian National Armed Forces participates into many International Military Festivals in many countries such as Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The orchestra performs at all official state ceremonies and protocol events for foreign diplomats. |

Where, in 1956 he wrote his thesis "Paper-backs: a literary trend in communications". He specialized in radio advertisements with humor. In the 1960's he teamed up with cowriter Bob Kline, together they researched and released various advertisements, as well as released a humorous joke book called "This is the Nice (and Naughty) Book". Through his radio work he also got involved in voice over work for animation, on such projects as "Harry Nilsson 's The Point" 1971 animated television special, playing the narrator, and father roles in the second televised version. As the father mouse in the 1977 film "The Mouse and His Child". They released 12 records in the first "Season" which featured Alan interviewing Pat, in adlibbed comedy skits. A second Season of 260 skits from "From Studio B" was advertised, and recorded, but this time additional performers were also interviewed by Alan. During this time he also founded the award-winning advertising company [l1239852] with Jim Kirby which evolved into Bert, Barz & Kirby Comedy Radio Company when [a2068205] joined them as a partner in 1982. In 1984 he and Berdis were the featured guests on a educational film called "Radio Advertising Concepts", by the Australian Film, Television & Radio School. His book "Hearing Voices: Creating, Voicing & Producing Great Radio Commercials" was published in 2002, it was later republished in India as "Radio Advertising", by Unistar books in 2004. He is mostly known for being the voice on the television commercials with the Energizer Bunny, Alan says the famous phrase "He keeps going, and going, and going." Search | Add | 4 | The Morricones | Austrian Band - Linz Oberösterreich --- As a homage to the sound aesthetics of the infamous Spaghetti Western, THE MORRICONES create their own "Western Drama". With acoustic guitars, double bass and drums, the band draws tonal landscapes and tells stories of tragic, only vaguely outlined heroes with heavy emotions. She meets her tendency to melancholy with a touch of irony, because you shouldn't always take the songs very seriously. Reduced singer / songwriter pieces, orchestrally prepared rock ballads, cinematic soundtrack music as well as relevant rock songs are in the repertoire of the four Upper Austrians. And whether your acoustic alternative rock is served in the Irish pubs or on the largest stage in the country such as the Gasometer or Nova Rock - the songs are lively, close to the public and, in addition to all the pathos, also served with a wink! In addition, through the harmonious, two-part vocal parts, the music develops painfully beautiful moments even in the most disturbing songs, which show that a western drama does not always have to be loud and even the heart of an outlaw can be gripped.

Search | Add | 4 | Pat Fontes | Patrick Fontes | Being quoted by his peers as "Mr. Techno" this humble encyclopedia of electronic music knowledge has been there, and done that, and is still finding ways to capture the imagination of others through his music! Pat Fontes' love affair with music began at the tender age of 11 during the early 90s- collecting mix tapes he’d purchased at the local Portuguese market. As a teen he quickly progressed to buying records en mass of garage and house vinyl. By 16 Pat started DJing throughout Boston, and by the early 2000s was managing and later became owner of Satellite Records. During this time Pat was also a resident DJ and manager of the long standing often heralded, Midweek Techno in Cambridge with buddies Soul Clap. As a 22-year industry veteran and local hero Pat Fontes has shared the stage with the likes of Martin Buttrich, Paco Osuna, Timo Maas, Cassy, Pan Pot, The Orb, and Patrice Bamel. Pat’s production style is uniquely his own ranging from upbeat tech house to deep melancholic techno and house. His discography includes releases with Slumber (Amber Cox & Oona Dahl), Martin Eyer, and Derek Marin. In 2017, after being diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) Pat began focusing all of his energies towards his love of music and sharing that passion with others. “My emotions run much deeper than I could imagine and I’ve been learning how to leverage this creatively. I haven’t stopped doing what I love for 21 years- and will continue ‘til I physically can’t, and have since left my mark on this world of music and beyond.” Fontes is excited to share his upcoming release on Re.tune and Future is Now Recordings with the world, as well as some gems from techno’s past, present, and future |

Search | Add | 4 | Art No Art | Art No Art Started out as a writers forum for a group of jazz musicians. They would meet after hours in the old Aurora Music building in the city of Shoreline, WA. They eventually moved to a basement studio and then to a room at Kellogg Middle School, and sometimes at Shorecrest High School. After they accumulated enough material, they voted on songs and proceeded to record at Basic Tracks Studio. This was a home studio in Warren Newton's duplex. They pooled together all their then brand new digital gear (1989) and set up the studio. The tape recorder was a Tascam 40-4 1/2 inch 8 track. Two computers were used to store the midi tracks: an Atari ST1040 and an Apple Mac Plus. This was mixed it down on what was then state-of-the-art Alesis 1622 mixer onto a Toshiba DX900 VCR (Which had two digital tracks via "PCM Capability"). The band endured floods, power surges, and a street demolition crew during the session that resulted in "No Doubt About It" (1990). Search | Add | 4 | Chris Herriges | Began playing various musical instruments at age nine, at the gentle urging of artistic parents. First experience as guitarist with band in Junior High School - Gateway - kings of the roller rinks in hometown Eau Claire, WI. Shelved musical pursuits during college years for conventional career aspirations (BBA - University of WI, Eau Claire, 1986.) but became determined for career as national recording artist before graduation. Relocated to the Twin Cities and, after brief stint as an Office Coffee Services salesman, began full-scale plunge. (Voice lessons, extensive guitar practice, songwriting efforts.). First self-produced recordings were on 45 rpm vinyl: "Please You", "Sweet, True Companion" and the most successful of which - "Come What May" which, through independent promotion, garnered significant Midwest commercial airplay ("Top Pick", Midwest Music Journal.) and played all Summer long on Top-40 radio in Sioux Falls, SD. (1989) Lots of Midwest club dates followed, primarily in the Twin Cities. Most notably, a series of national openers at The Fine Line Music Cafe, Minneapolis, for Shawn Phillips, Kenny Rankin, and others. First full-length CD, Come What May, released 1990. Played live and recorded extensively throughout the 'Nineties with various bandmates. The Chris Herriges Project, with bassist Chris Shaw and drummer Chris Weinberger (later joined by guitarist Pete McCauley) saw significant success with a number of Rock Radio singles. "All Real Now" and "Long, Cold Road" (independently promoted) were added on commercial stations in places like Roanoke VA, Chatanooga TN, and Key West FL. (1993/94). "Don't Turn Me Away" written by Herriges' brother, Greg, made #104 on Album Network Magazine's national Rock Radio chart...due, in part, to a starred review (critical merit) in Billboard Magazine. (1994.)

Search | Add | 4 | Xaque | Diogo Santos, Lee Miranda, Tony Cirne, Peter Cabrita, Pedro da Costa, Burt Fernandes, William Condesso | Xaque” pronounced (shock) is a Luso-American band from the New Jersey / Philadelphia area. The Portuguese word Xaque means “Checkmate”. Formed in 1992 when a few friends and original members of the band Xaque, met to record a few songs while experimenting with new recording equipment. Within months they found themselves expressing their Western European musical roots and sharing tales of heroes and heritage. Full of vigor and inspiration, they enthusiastically continued to record and draw together individuals with similar aspirations to contribute to their projects. In the summer of 1994, a vision and conviction had emerged. And as they say; the rest is history. XAQUE’S debut recording, "EVOLUÇÃO", released in 1995 was the result of their journey in the recording studio. As sons of first generation Portuguese immigrants, the undertone was to convey social awareness, political upheaval and fond remembrance of their founding fathers. Shortly after the release of "EVOLUÇÃO", XAQUE performed in various concerts in the United States with well-established performers from Portugal. XAQUE proved their worth when they took center stage at the Portuguese American Heritage Concert at the TRUMP TAJ MAHAL (Atlantic City NJ). Sharing the stage with XAQUE was [a661010], [a767164], [a1474205] and Fernando Pereira. Shortly thereafter XAQUE joined [a125903] for a three concert series of LOUD MUSIC and FUN in New Jersey. XAQUE remains the only US based band to have performed in concert with Portuguese artists of this magnitude… Having fostered a relationship with [a661010], XAQUE believed his collaboration on their recordings would bring more awareness to their project. In the Winter of 1996 Rui Veloso returned to the United States to participate. Today XAQUE find themselves survivors of life’s challenges, and on October 15th of 2002, the anticipation ends. Xaque will release their much-anticipated follow up CD to EVOLUCAO UNPLUGGED titled ALMA NUA. Xaque's "Herói do Mar - Unplugged" was nominated for the 2013 IPMA awards for best Rock Song. |

Search | Add | 4 | OO Soul | OO Soul | Formed in 1994 and based in Long Beach, CA, OO Soul is a gritty reflection of the diverse urban culture they hail from. With its notorious reputation for the seedier side of life, it’s no wonder that the local underground has chosen OO Soul as its soundtrack. The music of this “Eight Piece Brotherhood” funks so hard that it will take two washings to get its smell out of your threads. Founded upon the simple premise of creating a live dance band, OO Soul blends classic soul, R&B, and Latin grooves — reminiscent of the JBs and War — all updated nicely with a young, fresh, aggressive edge. Instrumental Soul, Funk and Latin (Afro-Cuban). The artist's name is two zeros, a dash then Soul (like 007 James Bond). OO-Soul has been used in several song names and at least one movie title. |

Search | Add | 4 | Dodoly | Dodoli Kidima | Dodoli Kidima (sometimes spelled Dodoly) is a Congo DR soukous guitarist. He is best known for his high speed solos, for which he has been nicknamed la machine a coudre ("the sewing machine").He began his career in [a=Orchestre Stukas], a soukous band that reached the apex of its popularity in Zaire in the mid-1970s. In the 1980s he played the lead guitar briefly in [a=Bipoli Tshando]'s short-lived band [a=Victoria Principal] but reached the apex of his popularity in [a=Bozi Boziana]'s [a=Orchestre Anti-Choc], one of the bands the dominated the soukous scene in that decade. Dodoly was so fundamental to [a=Orchestre Anti-Choc]'s sound that, when he left, the musicians that replaced him (including major guitarists such as Rigo Star) all sought to imitate his style.
