Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Open Fire! | Coming out of Tacoma, WA, Open Fire! formed in late 2005. Over several years, they progressed and shifted line ups and directions, but always had a core philosophy: to write passionate, aggressive music. Combining their influences of metal and hardcore, and using forms of melody and conscientious lyrics (be it personal or political issues), the band's effort culminated in their 2012 full length album "I Am the Curse," digitally self-released. The album's lyrics tackles socio-political issues as well as detailing personal struggles while blending heavy riffs, melodic leads and vocals reminiscent of bands like Poison the Well, Shai Hulud, The Carrier and Misery Signals. The album also features guest vocals from The Ghost Inside vocalist Jonathan Vigil, as well as a solo from guitarist Kyle Rasmussen of Vitriol. They are releasing their first material in 8 years in November 2020, rerecordings of a few choice tracks from their 2007 full length, “Built to Abandon.”

Search | Add | 4 | Shamus M'Cool | Richard Doyle | Shamus M'Cool (born Richard Doyle in 1941, Providence, RI, died January 19, 1990, Los Angeles, CA), was an American comedian, songwriter, and singer. He is best known for his 1981 hit "American Memories", which he released as a 45 single under his very own Perspective Records, and which is one of the hardest "Hot 100" hits to find in the history of the charts. By some estimates, only 10 copies of this record exist. Allegedly, Doyle shipped or may have even delivered the single to several L.A. radio stations, PD's and DJ's alike who reported it in their playlists which were then submitted to both Billboard and Cashbox. Both publications listed the single in their pop charts. While unlikely, it's possible the single may not have gotten any air time at all or if any, very little even though it charted. In April, 2014, in an interview with Rick Romell of the (Milwaukie) Journal Sentinel, Joel Whitburn said "the 1981 record is the most valuable single in his massive music archive" of 150,000 items. See: http://archive.jsonline.com/business/joel-whitburn-is-no-1-when-it-comes-to-pop-music-charts-b99230640z1-254272691.html/ An earlier holiday single by Doyle, "Santa's Little Helper Dingo", and credited to "Dingo, the Most Lovable Elf Of All" charted at #11 on Billboard's Holiday Singles charts in 1973, and was reissued in 1976 with a different B-Side. These singles are also extremely rare, though somewhat more common than "American Memories." |

He has several releases on labels such as Archaic Future Sounds, Illegal Alien, Trau-ma, or 909 Connection, which he co-founded. |

Search | Add | 4 | The Half Artist | Jason Smith | Artist. Writer. Poet. Possible Musician. A dabbler in any artistic medium, 'The Half Artist's' eventual manifestation came after many names and many years of obsessively writing and recording half finished songs, sketches, poems and projects. As his writing became more intricate and experimental, and less to the formula of songwriting, he soon found a new intriguing unknown where he could further grow, Poetry Slamming. This soon lead to the National Poetry Slam state finals, numerous other slam wins and frequent invitations to perform at spoken word events. He is now a well respected something or other in a world where they probably don't even know he makes music. During this flourish of word nerding, he quietly penciled in all nighters and disgusting amounts of persistance to experiment, study and learn the art of Beatmaking, Sampling and Production. For the love of all things soul intertwining and expressive. |

Search | Add | 4 | Crimsonic | Crimsonic is a rock band from Helsinki, Finland, started in 2010. Their music has a lot of influence from both modern and classic arena rock. A Crimsonic song is a perfect harmony of energetic guitar riffs, catchy melodies and emotional lyrics. Crimsonic has recently released their second album ‘Heartsbury’. The album is produced by a well-known Finnish rock producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (e.g. HIM, Apocalyptica, Sentenced) and vocal recordings have been produced by Sampsa Astala (e.g. Lordi, Stala & SO.). The album tracks ‘Real Heroes’ and ‘The Bachelor’ have been mastered by Grammy-awarded mastering engineer Ted Jensen (e.g. Norah Jones, The Eagles, Green Day, Evanescence) at Sterling Sound, Nashville, US. While Crimsonic is still promoting their album on tour, they already took the next steps release-wise, and put out a cover version of the worldwide smash hit “Try”, originally recorded by P!nk. The song was accompanied by a music video. During early 2023, Crimsonic announced the signing of a full-service management and booking deal with Northern Star Management Oy. This year the band is going to continue touring and also work on new original material.

Search | Add | 4 | SeeMoreGlass | N. Patrick Phile | SeeMoreGlass began in the trunk of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the fall of 2007 after the malaise of real life set in. N. Patrick Phile, the main artist behind the project, played in the band Dear Holden from 2004-2010, and as the band was winding down, the side project took full priority. Taking the name from a J.D. Salinger character, the project quickly became about self discovery and empowerment after years of difficult relationships. The E.P. "If You Really Want To Hear About It..." was recorded in the basement of a close friend's house on a winter weekend and was released to no acclaim in the fall of 2010 amidst the turmoil of many endings and beginnings. After a seven year hiatus, the high school English teacher revived the project during the weekly midnight hours as a means of survival. Graveyard Gertie was released in 2017 as a way to deal with the overwhelming grief of multiple friends and family members who passed away. After that release, he spent the next four years, teaching, writing poetry and working endlessly on the songs that would become the new album Roaring Paper Spring. He currently lives in Ohio, with his wife, and creative partner Rachel. |
