Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Dorien Dorion | Dorien Dorion is an artist belonging to the group Fratelli Stellari. Born in Florence (Italy), he is a singer, a musician and a cabaret artist; he is also the artistic director of the group. His voice appears in some songs, for example "Sorelle, sante e suppliziate" (included in the album "Aglien Discomix"), "El Misterio del Espacio" (included in the album "Nightflight to Planet X") and "50 Sfumature di Alieno" ("Fifty Shades of Alien", a single track). Dorien loves cats and flying saucers; he is also interested in some esoteric disciplines, such as oracle cards, astrology and dowsing. "Egyptian Sands" is his first digital album: released on January 2018 by the discographic label Pleyad Studios, it is dedicated to the tradition of belly dance. Dorien is the composer and the rapper; he was inspired by ethnic music, particularly by the typical melodies of North African countries. This album is also dedicated to the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, such as Pyramids, the Sphinx, Bastet the Cat Goddess... but the greater mystery of all is that of alien traces over or under the sands!

Search | Add | 4 | The Medveds | the Medveds, a byproduct of Boston, Massachusetts formed in the summer of 1994. The band’s name, which carried over from earlier garage projects headed up by frontman Ben Hunter, was drunkenly derived from a game of pin the tail on the donkey with a mid-1980s, Cleveland phonebook. The group landed on the name Keith Medved and it stuck (not to be confused with film critic Michael Medved). During their brief and dysfunctional punk rock citizenship, the Medveds earned notoriety for their volatile blend of booze and banter, as well as their crazy onstage antics. The band permeated Boston’s punk rock fraternity for nearly a decade and attracted a cultish, underground following while headlining staple clubs and local dives throughout the North East. None of which paid the bills.

With all this wonderful media attention, LeBlanc was recognized at the end of the year as he made the top 5 cultural event in New Brunswick. Search | Add | 4 | Richie Mayer | Richie Mayer | Coming out of the trend-setting 1980 Chicago PowerPop / New Wave scene that included Pezband, Cheap Trick & Shoes, Richie’s group Loose Lips released their EP “Hung Up On Pop” with Grammy award-winning producer Michael Freeman. Loose Lips created its own scene for the next two years with an enthusiastic fan base, memorable shows, frequent radio play, and a number of cable and TV performances that included an AM Chicago Rate-A-Record appearance hosted by Dick Clark. Slipping into another musical skin, in 1986 Mayer formed the Dark Pop group PushPush and soon recorded the album “World On Fire.” A reaction to the music industry’s slide into big hair, loud clothes and tepid songwriting, Mayer plumbed the moodier side of pop while still penning catchy melodies graced with wry observations on the human condition. A new direction again presented itself in the early ’90’s when Mayer became a songwriter and producer for BMG Music Publishing in Toronto, Canada. In collaboration with BMG A&R head David Bendeth, the group Love And Sas won Juno Awards (Canadian Grammys) in 1991 and 1992 for R & B Song of the Year with Mayer and Bendeth’s songs and production. In early 2000 the creative muse beckoned again, this time luring Mayer in a different direction; architecture. Designing and building modern, ecologically sound homes became a passion and Mayer found that composing simple, flowing spaces was much like writing and arranging songs; “If you strip away artifice” Mayer offered, “the truth reveals itself.” A development deal with Epic Records led to a songwriting, production and publishing deal for Mayer with BMG Music in Toronto, Canada. Many songs, recordings and productions now brings us to 2021 and the release of his first solo album, The Inn of Temporary Happiness. |

Search | Add | 4 | Pauline Oduro | "Paulina Oduro is a talented and evocative performer with over two decades of singing under her belt. Paulina moved to London at the age of nine, with her diplomat father and mother. Her interest in music began at an early age.Recognising her talent and enthusiasm for music, her parents encouraged her, in addition to her normal education, to undertake formal tuition in music, learning to play classical piano. Her main interest in music was to singing. However, as with most parents, they insisted on her having a more stable career. Paulina therefore trained as a nurse but after three years in that profession she felt music was her proper calling and at the age of 21, she quit nursing to become a professional singer. She joined a reggae band called Casanova and within six months they released their first single. Since then Paulina has sang with a number of reggae and soca bands. Her pedigree includes performances with such greats like Calypso King Mighty Sparrow, soca favourite Arrow, Lord Kitchener, Alexander O'neil and renowned Trinidadian singer David Rudder. Her silky smooth vocals have also attracted most leading Ghanaian artists to record with her. Paulina was also one of the lead female vocals with the Western Diamonds, the top Hi-life group in Ghana from the early to mid-1990s. Her solo debut CD, Woman Power, released in March 1999, was a reflection of her various musical influences and experiences over the years. It contained most genres of African music. Sung in both English and her native Fanti language in her inimitable vocal style, the CD could be described as the ultimate in modern African music. She has been shuttling Ghana and UK back and forth. When in Ghana, she performs alongside celebrated Ghanaian musicians like Paapa Yankson as well as up and coming artists. She also lends her experience as a quest judges to several competitions in Ghana. From http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/people/person.php?ID=618
