Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

From 1996 to 1999 he played keys with London R & B unit The Fireflies. Around 1990 he met John Thomson, the concert piano player and improviser and worked for two years on structured improvisations for two pianos/four hands. He was with the Royal Shakespeare Company from the 1990's - 2007. In 2003 he formed the acoustic blues jam unit 6 O’clock Shadow with Richie Storry and Oli Bigland, playing with guest artists such as Dave Carrol, Greg Hicks, He went on to become a freelance theatrical wire rigger for Ragdoll Children’s TV Productions. In 2007 he took a break to Byron Bay, Australia where he met Vasudha Harte and they formed the band Dinkum Bohos. He continues to work on his solo projects, gigs, live improvisations with Daevid Allen as well as working with other Byron Bay artists. Jem Edwards first worked with VASUDHA HARTE The pianist, composer and Musical Director in 2007 during a theatrical production at Byron Theatre. He was to later discover her songwriting talents and they formed the formidable DINKUM BOHOS, a vehicle for duets from both multi-instrumentalists in a truly eclectic mix of genres and styles from around the world and through history. Dinkum Bohos have an extensive repertoire that draws upon inspiration from around the globe: flamenco, tango, jazz, blues, gypsy, folk, cabaret, ambient, songs in French, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Indian dhrupad and mantra. Vasudha Harte has gained recognition as a multi talented performer in and around the Byron Bay area, Northern NSW, Australia. Vasudha has become known for her unique, distinctive original repertoire. Her songs are intimate and universal and embrace a melting pot of musical styles: modern classical pop, jazz groove, blue world tango folk cabaret and rap. Her lyrics skillfully combine heart, humour, intelligence and storytelling. As musician, songstress and poet she captivates audiences with her alluring, free-wheeling vocals, passionate piano playing, relaxed stage presence and vibrant persona. Vasudha has performed extensively as a solo musician around Australia and Asia, launching her debut CD Bootleg in Byron Bay 2003. A singer and pianist/keyboard player with many different ensembles, she has supported Australian jazz veteran Don Burrows and UK psychedelic aficionados Gong. She has performed and recorded with musical luminaries such as James Cruickshank (Cruel Sea), Louis Burdett, Fantuzzi and Daevid Allen. An Actor and Musical Director for many local theatre productions, she composed arranged and played music to the words of Shakespeare, Lewis Carrol, the Capek brothers and others. Experienced in improvisation and character work, both musically and in playing roles, she performed her own one woman show Eye Scream in Mullumbimby and has appeared on many stages, art galleries and festivals, including seven Splendour in the Grass Festivals in Byron Bay, Woodford Folk Festivals and international festivals with Dinkum Bohos. Also a radio presenter on Bay FM community radio Byron Bay since 1998, Vasudha presented various styles of programs including the popular eclectic breakfast show “The Best Dressed Chickens in Town” with Vasudha and Jem. “A creative cornerstone of the community” Byron Shire Echo Dinkum Bohos come from a freewheeling bohemian tradition that’s rooted in Australia’s rustic heart. Weaned on travels through deep dangerous hinterland and golden east coast beaches, they present an Australian take on music for runaway romantics. A sonic tour de force, Dinkum Bohos feature adventurous velvet vocals, funky piano artistry, dazzling guitar wizardry and idiosyncratic drums. Jem Edwards played at the legendary Stonehenge 1976-78, Glastonbury 1977 and Rivington Pike 1977 free festivals. He was a roadie on Motorheads’ first tour with Hawkwind in 1976. From 1979 to 1981 he lent his talents to London’s Wessex Studios working alongside Master engineer Jeremy Greene, remixing for the likes of The Damned and The Theatre of Hate and ripped up the Bussendorfe with Jeremy on guitar on the duos lost tapes sessions. In 1978 he met Patron of the Arts Fred Koch who commissioned ensemble and orchestral pieces through The Arthur Foundation NY and The New York Arts Foundation, enabling him to manuscript solo, ensemble and orchestral pieces (presently being recorded by John Thompson of Penzance and soon to be released ‘Speculations for Piano’) and made the move to London. Between 1978 and 1984 he graced the bandstands in London where he delivered his uncompromising and avant-guard piano playing (Almeida Theatre Bar/Ivories,Bass Clef ). In 1983 Jem and Fred initiated the benefaction of the Swan Theatre, a gift to the people of Stratford and the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. In the early 80’s Jem played with Paper House, a Post Punk New Wave outfit based in North London, performing regular gigs at the Brixton Archway Studios behind the now sadly defunct Desmond’s Hip City record store on the Railton Road, with jazz percussionist Andy Leopard, Oxford Music Collectives performance of Terry Riley’s “In C”, The Abstracts (Mark Gibbons), Void Litter with Simon Gilbert (Suede), Jerry Bewley (Oxo, Entropy, Kangaroo Moon, The Egg) and Chris Pinder (Oxo,Pinder),Ed Alleyne-Johnson (New Model Army) recording one EP with David Brown of Limit Mobile Audio where he first recorded ‘Continuum for piano and digital delay’. When Fela Kuti was jailed for 5 years in 1981 after carrying $50,000 US out of Nigeria, the band was left in London without a keyboard player, Jem stepped up on keys and the band Blue was born. From 1996 to 1999 he played keys with London R & B unit The Fireflies. A key organiser in Birmingham’s first Fireworks Fantasia (1991) Jem’s band The Eagles Gift performed to an audience of over a million. He was active at that time with reeds and woodwind player Martin Robinson, (Simon Fell and the Frakture Big Band, Mamadou and the Super Libidor Band) playing Irish sets, free improvisations and general lunacy on a variety of bandstands ranging from Birmingham Conservatoire to Westminster Cathedral. Search | Add | 4 | Kowari | Two years after their first album"Trail" and a fifty-date European tour, the Belgian duo Kowari will be back with a new album in 2024. With this second record, Damien Chierici (violin, programming) and Louan Kempenaers (piano, programming) create a modern electronica ode to travelling and letting go. Downtempo and essentially instrumental on "Trail", on this album Kowari's universe is enriched by epic backing vocals, hypnotic organic drums, intoxicating loops and stronger electro beats. "The Kowari DNA we imprinted on 'Trail' is still there," explain Damien and Louan. "The piano, the violin, the search for melodic power in the compositions, the drive of the loops, the soothing moments that herald flights that are more evocative of cinema... But there was also a desire to add organic warmth and go even further in the use of electro elements. In concerts, people cry on some tracks and dance on others. That's exactly what we're looking for."

The name of the training evokes both the chemistry that occurs between Mario and Viviane, who share the composition, voices and guitars and the diversity of their musical influences. In 2004, after a fruitful creative period, the two singer-authors are launching a debut album, Un, produced, directed and recorded in their home studio. This first album, which includes songs in English, signed Mario, and French, written by Viviane, enabling them to lay the foundation for their unique style distinguished by the prominence given to vocal harmonies, through poetry texts and by tinged melodies of medieval accents, Gregorian and Arabists. In spring 2005, the Osmosaïc duo began performing in the show after having expanded their repertoire of several new pieces. They will later nearly 200 performances in pubs, festivals and theaters across Quebec. The reaction of spectators and media who discover them is very positive. Gradually Osmosaïc is building a network of loyal fans bewitched by the richness of their repertoire and originality of their approach. In June 2007, obtaining a grant from the MRC de Roussillon Regional Cultural Fund allows them to design a staging with François Racine for a show they presented in March 2008 at the Vanier Cultural Centre of Châteauguay. In September 2008, a new collection of new songs in their wallet, members of Osmosaïc are ready to record a new album. They then approached the director François Lalonde (DobaCaracol, Lhasa de Sela, Tomas Jensen, Jean Leloup, Marco Calliari), who agrees to arrange and carry out their second album, an eponymous. Released in May 2009, the album features 11 rooms Osmosaïc the highly poetic texts inspired by nature and mestizo folk music of Latin accents, country, rock and Celtic. Refined and inventive arrangements are biased to the strings and percussion, adding subtle textures to the compositions which combines tradition and modernity. renowned musicians, including Yves Lambert and Mario Légaré, have collaborated to drive.

Search | Add | 4 | Rob Benzing | In the world of bluegrass these days, tradition and innovation are gradually falling into the hands of a younger, very talented generation. Rob Benzing is an outstanding example of why that should happen. He fell in love with the bluegrass sound when he was a kid, listening to and learning from the greats—Don Reno and Earl Scruggs—and was playing the banjo by the time he was ten. Now he’s found his ground, stepping out with a project that demonstrates a full command of the instrument and the wide range of tunes—both classic and progressive-- that go with it. He’s assembled a sparkling constellation of fellow artists to showcase his abilities and theirs: Danny Knicely on guitar; Taylor Baker on mandolin; Mark Schatz on bass; fiddler Patrick McAvinue; vocalists/ instrumentalists Jacob and Joey Mosley, Scott Brannon, and Tom Mindte. Benzing shows his mastery of bluegrass banjo licks in hard-driving classics like Reno tunes Dixie Breakdown, and Sockeye, and Scruggs’ Lonesome Road Blues; handily tackles some less-than-standard chord progressions in the quirky Armadillo Breakdown; balances meter and melody on The Bells of St Mary’s; and shows what a banjo can do in back-up as well as solo in vocal standards No Longer a Sweetheart of Mine, Have You Come to Say Goodbye? and It’s Only Right That I Should Pay. He comfortably finds a modal groove to underscore the lyrics in the melancholy Lonesome River and Jacob Mosley’s haunting Carry Me. But that’s not all--Benzing has included two of his own compositions, to excellent effect: Monocacy Crossing flows across the frets from low to high with echoes of swing; Fingerboard Road, as the name suggests, is fast, light and deft, producing a sound both inventive and as old as the hills. Benzing hails from Maryland and travels all around to traditional music gatherings, clubs and festivals where he is fast gaining a reputation as a banjo adept who can hang in with a new tune and give it that good old feeling, or add a new twist to a familiar classic. On this CD he has concocted a rich musical sampling: a little bit of Reno, a little bit of Scruggs, and a whole lot of Benzing.

He is joined by Allan Zane (WYRM, Solumenata, Le Scrambled Debutante, etc.). Davis’s and Zane’s styles are similar, yet unique enough to augment each other’s work in a manner that is truly sublime. 33blackLP set out to amalgamate and mutate musical genres without adhering to any particular one of them. This strategy is employed in order to lend an element of surprise to every release. The music should speak for itself. Davis and Zane insist on this concept to the extent that every release (and every track on every release) will be represented by progressive Roman numerals as titles. Visually, 33blackLP will engage in “aesthetic open dialogues”—as abstract imagery can complement music without imposing concepts upon it in the way that song titles can. 33blackLP draw influence from every area of life—without implying suggestions or answers. These influences are myriad. These influences are stylistically-blended into a refined hedonism (sometimes even sadomasochistic in its expression) that is the very essence that is the project. |

What's your pleasure, tenderfoot? From the wrong side of the tracks in Utrecht, the Netherlands, something wicked this way comes. Out of the ashes of a zillion other bands, known and unknown, springs a hard boiled musical quartet featuring the finest an foulest this dirty old town has to offer. Doing away with subtleties of modern day music these four delinquents return to the granitehard core of the sleazy rock of old. The ooz 'n sludging, swamp 'n rolling, hard riffing, swashbuckling proverbial hobnailed boot under your fat ass! Scaring the bejesus out of anyone of feebler constitution as they go along..........
