Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Glenna Van Nostrand | Glenna van Nostrand, a Cambridge-based performance artist obsessed with archaic telecommunication hardware. Using solo vocals run through an old telephone, amplified by a variety of radios, her work creates its own rhythms through hypnotic layering, repetition and the imperfections built into her chosen delivery system. Alternately ethereal and cracked, her performance takes simple kernels of thought and speech, creating mystifying vistas of otherness that hint at the eternal now. The only specific musical accompaniment comes from her use of a telephone’s touch pad as a keyboard, but the rich weirdness of her compositions is consistent and dazzling. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Walter Dlamini | Walter Dlamini was a singer whose repertoire, the veteran DJ Max Mojapelo suggests, was somewhere in between Jacob “Mpharanyana” Radebe and The Movers’ Philip Malela. Walter’s soulful singing oozes charm and sensitivity, and it glides across the melodies of the other musicians with incredible ease. A native of Wattville, a township close to the city of Benoni, Walter had joined the music industry somewhere in the mid-1970s and began recording material for the Fire label. His music formed a part of the quiet move from what might be termed “traditional mbaqanga” to the more organ-led, American soul-infused sound of the late 1970s. It was a sound that had its roots within mbaqanga music, but one that closely aligned itself more with Afro wigs, flares and platform shoes than skins and tribal costume. When Walter came to Gallo-Mavuthela in 1978, the sound was being replicated there already by producers West Nkosi and Marks Mankwane and groomed to replace the traditional mbaqanga sound that the company itself had popularised more than a decade previously. | |

Pumpkin Head Ted has performed with many great artists over the years, including local jazz greats Jim Robitaille and Rick Britto. Pumpkin Head Ted has also backed up the great singer-song writer J.P. Jones. But some of their most exciting and memorable collaborations came with Celtic music great Johnny Cunningham. | Search | Add | 2 | Hardcore Tamburo | Hardcore Tamburo is a collective of drummers and percussionists who performs on the basis of minimal electronic music. The instrument that every musician has is a simple metal bin. The tribality of the resulting music, which sometimes chases the song form, is as archaic as it is futuristic, post-atomic and artisanal. For this reason the sound of the Hardcore Tamburo can be defined as "industrial primitive". The number of components of the project varies according to the situation, so it is modular. In Hardcore Tamburo some well-known drummers play in the Italian independent music scene. However, their faces and their names are not known, each component has an identification number and it is with that number that everyone is recognized. The project is born from the ashes of post-punk and new wave, but also looks at the actuality of a certain type of electronic alienation. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Practical Senses | Practical Senses band formed in 2009 in Ukraine. Encompasses various genres such as coldwave, electro, post-punk, synth-pop The history of the band dates back to 2009, when Yuriy Baygush (at that time a member of the band Soundform) became acquainted with another musician — Olexandr Mylnikov. The main topics of their interest were keyboards and musician equipment. At the beginning of 2009 they created the first demo-record “Harpsichord and noise of the Marine Waves”, using chiefly vintage analog synthesizers and drum-machines. Musical cooperation was maintained through the internet and rare joint rehersals, as the musicians were separated from each other by the distance of 450 kilometers. At the same time, Practical Senses and the band Soundform recordered together cover-version of the songs “Corridor of Choristers”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian band “Scriabin”, and “Cold Solitude”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the band “Mournful Gust”) Both songs were released on the official music albums (collections) of the mentioned bands. The group Practical Senses also wrote background music for a game “”Drug the candy” (Apple iOS game) The first concert, for which session musicians were also involved, took place in 2010 and the first band’s album was released in 2011. In 2014 an independent German label “Aldi-punk” became interested in the band and released it’s second album «Songs cycle about the decisive king» with a limited edition of cassetes. The album consisted of songs in English and Ukrainian and was sold and distributed mainly in the countries through Europe. After this, due to the recording of a new album and restructuring of the band “Practical Senses” worked temporarily only in the studio. In 2017 Practical Senses released a new album which was it’s third and entirely Ukrainian-language album. The lyrics of the songs were poems of Ukrainian writers including I. Franko, O. Bilash, M. Vingranovsky and others.
