Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Shadiii | Former members of South of Sahara, tshidi helen Leloka and Anneline Malebo met a former member of the all rounders, Faith Shadi Kekana and formed a new trio, shadiii. It was named after Faith but spelled with three i’s at the end to show that they were three, as in Bob Marley’s backing vocalists,I-three (rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths & Judy Mowatt). Shadiii released a maxi single, Yes I’m Gonna Give It Up, in 1985 on rpM’s right track label written by Sizwe Zako, produced by allister coakley and engineer, creg cutler. Maybe I should pay a special tribute to Faith Shadi Kekana, daughter of a preacherman who featured in many music projects before going solo. She has travelled the world backing superstars as a vocalist. Besides her session musicianship, she’s been a member of the all rounders, Shadiii as well as Varukweru whose members included Vusi Khumalo (drums), Bakithi Khumalo (bass), Zoli Bacela (guitar) and ndumiso nyovane (trumpet). Sadly, Bacela passed away in august 2006, a few days before the death of talented saxophonist, Moses Khumalo. By 2008 Faith had released her debut solo album titled Ha Re Yeng produced by condry Ziqubu.

Search | Add | 2 | Stoyk | Stoyk is a French hardcore/techno/gabber and breakcore producer. A member of the Core-Tex Labs label and hardcore party collective. He lived in Australia for a brief period in Sydney during the early to mid 2000s. While in Australia he started "Travelcore" with fellow french producers and DJs including Zip The Robot and Epo and organised warehouse and underground parties around inner city Sydney alongside fellow co-conspirators, The "Killerwatts" or KWS breakcore and hardcore crew. In 2004 and 2005 he also co-hosted the "Illegal Frequencies" Radio Show on 2serFM with The Shredder. Stoyk's sets were notorious for live mashups of industrial hardcore and gabber with heavy metal and punk rock songs. Often combining common moshpit favourites with abrasive noise and bass and heavy distorted breakbeats. Stoyk now lives back in his native France and when not raising a family still produces hardcore techno and organises parties...although not as frequently as he used to.

Search | Add | 2 | Gerten | Gerten is an experimental synth project which has been found in Moscow, Russia, by Eugene Gin (vocal, lyrics) and Dee Grinski (synthesizers) in 2015. Later Constantine Morkovin joined them on programming drums and other electronics. All members have other projects which exist as part of «Own Cause» union. They are Manunkind, Main Unit and Dee Grinski. Gerten represents an unique blend of synth-punk, a dark liquid sound and atmospheric existential lyrics. The strong analog sound and very powerful rhythmic basis connect with reflections about the post-modern world, social unpleasant details and surrealistic fears. Trying to combine elements of art-punk and synth-punk with Russian intelligent avant-garde leads the band on the way of the best representatives of the Europe's synth-music

Search | Add | 2 | Life Brothers | life brothers 4 - life brothers music and more ... 2005 Neue Shows werden kreiert.

Later on he studied piano and lastly, guitar, which finally became his main instrument. Afterwards, he started experimenting with another side of music, recording and producing the music of the bands he played with along the years. A while later, Matei studied Sound and Editing in Film School. The years spent there have combined his love for music with the newly discovered world of film, and graduating from a Master programme in the art of film sound helped a lot in consolidating this link in his work.

Search | Add | 2 | Godfarts | Godfarts (later renamed [a3344260]) was a punk rock band from Barcelona. Influenced by the punk rock wave of the 80s and 90s, and potentially marked by skateboarding. At the beginning of 2007, Oscar Puig (vocalist and guitar) met the brothers Sergi (guitar) and Ricard Bouffard (drums) at high school. Seeing their great love for music and sharing the same musical tastes, they immediately decided to form a band, learning to play instruments almost from scratch. In the middle of that year the band established itself under the name Godfarts. After a long search, and after playing with several bassists during the first months, they met Víctor Mañas (bass), (who at that time was the drummer of the band KTKalles) and who also shared a great love not only for music but also for skateboarding. The arrival of Víctor Mañas marks the definitive closure of the formation. In mid-2008 and at their young age they decided to record their first demo called "Restless" edited by themselves. This opens a space for them in the local Barcelona scene and leads them to give their first concerts. In 2010 they recorded their first studio album called "Messed Up Minds", released under the labels "Eating Shit Records" (SP) and "Fragment Records" (SP), where the band's first single "Downhill To Hell In" is found. A Row" of which they filmed their first video clip, referring to extreme descents on a skateboard. This album led them to their first national tours, including a Peninsular tour with the legendary North American band 7 Seconds in 2012, and their first European tour. During this period they shared the stage with bands such as Face To Face, Adolescents The Casualties, The Unseen among others. That same year the group signed with Vans Music Spain.

Search | Add | 2 | Mandroïd Of Krypton | Genève,Switzerland. Mandroid of Krypton is a punk metal power trio whose ship crashed in Geneva (Switzerland) in 2010 and has never been able to leave since. Their music, self-proclaimed lyrical stellar thrash, was recorded on earth and engraved on a first LP, Our Brilliant Embassies in 2012, followed a year later by a 7 Inch, Angry Space Zombies. Mandroid of Krypton draws its inspiration from its rage of never seeing Krypton again, a planet where nature has reclaimed its rights, condemning the inhabitants to flee the lethal atmosphere. Its metallic-cosmic chants now vibrate in the heart of earthlings with whom they are proud to share their second album: HyperKaossmarket (2015), 9 titles as threatening as an asteroid field and as soniferous as the incantations of the Krypton high priestess. You will rush into HyperKaossmarket as you plunge into a black hole ... without hoping to return! Mandroid of Krypton is composed of: Bruno Charbonnaz - Bass / Gabriel Farine - Voice & Guitar / Romain Graf - Drums and Backings

Search | Add | 2 | Arne B. Larson | Born into a musical family on a southern Minnesota farm in 1904, Arne B. Larson began playing a clarinet of Spanish-American War vintage at the age of five. During the Great Depression in the 1930's, he worked his way through the Minneapolis College of Music. He taught first in Little Falls, MN, and then in International Falls, MN. In 1943 he became band and orchestra director at Brookings High School. After World War II, he would take the train on Saturdays to Arlington, Lake Preston, and other nearby towns in South Dakota, to tune pianos all day long. He used this hard-earned money to send tea and spam to British collectors in exchange for antique musical instruments. Later, Larson drove for many years around South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota, presenting his program for schools, churches, and service clubs, during which he played 50 different instruments. He also traveled around the country for the American Scandinavian Association in Washington, D.C., and made national public television appearances on the popular children' program, a "Mr. Rogers'Neighborhood." In 1966, Larson was hired as Professor of Music at the University of South Dakota (USD) in Vermillion, bringing his collection of more than 2,500 rare musical instruments from around the world along. He later donated them, along with the family farm, to help establish the National Music Museum in 1973. Arne Larson also founded and directed "The Golden Age of Bands 1860-1915," an ensemble that played American band music from the Civil War ere to World War I on original instruments from that time period. Today, the National Music Museum is the preeminent institution of its kind. Its collections of more than 13,500 American, European, and non-Western instruments, dating from the 16th century to the present, make USD the leading center in the world for scholarly study of the history of musical instruments.

Search | Add | 2 | Trío Evocación | Guanajay has always been prodigal as far as artists are concerned, without genre limitations. Some more known, others less remembered, had an unquestionable quality that made them popular beyond the limits of the land that saw them born. Such is the case of the Trío Evocación, which emerged in the middle of the 20th century. His first public presentation was in 1953 in a show presented at the Spanish Colony, because of the carnival festivities and was composed of José A. Crespo Victores (voice premium, maracas, guayo), Juan Luis Arango (second voice and guitar) and Jorge Delgado (third voice and requinto). A year later they appeared on the television program Escuela de Televisión, directed by Gaspar Pumarejo with a samba sung in Portuguese. The program promoted amateur artists of recognized quality, who competed and, in addition, shared the stage with other Cuban and foreign professionals. On this occasion the Trío Evocación was awarded the Special Jury Prize and the invitation to remain in the space for a long period of time that served as a true school of instruction and experience. Application to be professionals In 1956, the Trio made a request to the Cuban Association of Theatrical Artists, being accepted to appear before the Examining Court in charge of approving the artistic capacity of the applicants, being accepted as professionals that same year. Important nightclubs in the capital witnessed the musical work of the Evocation Trio, which alternated with well-known artists, among them the Spanish Sara Montiel and the Chilean Lucho Gatica, when he visited our country for the first time. Apart from their nightly performances, they kept a fixed program for a year, every Sunday, at 4:00 pm on the "La voz del Aire" station. Founding member of the Trío, José A. Crespo still resides in Guanajay. A man passionate to music, a hobby that he recognizes motivated by his cousin, the soprano América Crespo, another great artist from Guanajuato, of whom little is spoken, with an exquisite voice who will walk the name of Cuba in important halls of the world. This simple man confesses with modesty to have composed forty musical pieces, which are inscribed in the Registry of the Association of Authors and many of them have been and are interpreted by recognized groups. Although in 1966 the Trio was dissolved, he decided to follow the path of music, without abandoning his job as Head of Production and Sales in the Tannery of the town that today bears the name of José Ramón Martínez, in which he remained for thirty and three years, and is incorporated as a singer in the professional group of Digno González. When the famous artists' evaluations began in the seventies, they suggested that in order to remain professional, they should leave their other work; He did not understand it that way and he definitely left the song, but he continues composing. Later he won two prizes in the Provincial Contest of the Creator, with the bolero There will not be a penalty of love, defended by the orchestra Cubaney and the guaracha You say that there is no rumba, performed by the Benny Moré orchestra, respectively. In his thirteen years of struggling the Trio Evocación always maintained a repertoire full of cuban and professionalism. How many memories will it bring to those who have been older? they will not listen to them again because unfortunately their recordings were not saved in acetate, but longing will always be present, as Alfredo said in the farewell ... "remember is to live again."
