Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

He has been invited as composer in residence by Gidon Kremer at the Lockenhaus International Chamber Music Festival in 2002, and by Peter Sadlo at the “les muséiques” festival in Basel in 2007. Borboudakis’s music has been commissioned and performed by renowned orchestras, including the Symphonieorchester and the Rundfunkorchester of the Bavarian Radio, the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart (SWR), the Rundfunksinfonieorchester Saarbrücken (Saarland Radio), the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, the Athens State Orchestra (KOA), and the American Wind Symphony Orchestra. Some of his most notable appearances have been at Deutschlandfunk’s “Forum Neue Musik” and in the Bayerische Staatsoper’s series “XX/XXI – Neue Kammermusik”, to whose promotion he has dedicated himself. His compositional style is influenced by microtonality, percussive timbres, and sliding sounds. Some of the focal points in his work are time and space, classical philosophy, literature, mythology, and cosmological questions. Dominated by strong rhythmical impulse and experiments with electronic sounds, his music borrows elements from ancient greek tonal systems and rhythmic patterns. Minas Borboudakis lives and works in Munich.

Search | Add | 4 | Etienne Machine | From the guitars’ electricity to the synthesizers’ electronics, Etienne Machine navigate through the genders, at the edge of the art-rock, electronica and trip-hop. (The) Human or (the) machine, a duality evoking 21st century’s spleen and melancholy where feelings and sensations confront electronic sequences and saturated guitars. A confrontation between the instinct and the reason held by the different voices that the group borrows through sensible and incisive texts. Tied up/connected by a strong and sincere friendship, the Lausanne-based Etienne Machine are some Jack-of-all-trades / dabblers: musicians, producers, lyric writers, remixers but also founders of the collective «La Machinerie». This pool of rock and electronic experimentation brings together their close musical world, where each member interferes in the other’s universe. Numerous roles that strengthen the tenacious link that bounds all the humans hidden behind the machines’ coldness.

Search | Add | 4 | Rektüm | Rektüm, a fictitious East German 3-piece dissident punk band that had leapt the Berlin wall. They recorded an LP, [m250633], and a 12” EP for hardcore punk label, Manic Ears/ PSI. Tony and Robber provided artwork for these. There would be live shows to follow in Bristol with Dr. and the Crippins. The UK press were duped by 3 actors hired to be the face of Rektüm, and wrote rave reviews, unaware of their true identity. Then, back stage at Reading festival, Shane of Manic Ears let the cat out of the bag to a Sounds journalist. The backlash from the UK press ensued. It was now cool to hate [a218139].

(All that jazz, Fame, Coyote Ugly & Disco nights) Met andere gezelschappen : Dokter De Vuyst en Rosalie Niemand. Hun motto 'Let's have some fun'.

Their energetic music stems from their upbringing in the folk and roots music scenes in small towns and folk clubs throughout New Zealand. Christian, a hairy folk singer, met Joyce, the not so hairy pianist, at a campfire jam on a remote beach in their home country, New Zealand. They clicked instantly. Since that fate-filled night, they have been playing their passion-filled songs on the road throughout the world. Search | Add | 4 | Diversion Voice | Sometimes to make something new appear a number of factors, which have covered an accidentally emerged in the space route, should meet in one point and form a single unit with its new independent qualities. "Diversion Voice" group was formed on the 30th of June, 2009. The members of the group are: Matvey Ushakov - guitar Ilya Bolkisev - saxophone, electronics Dmitry Krasov - guitar, percussion Ivan Dorokhov - bass Alexey Kryuchkov - drums Different music preferences of the group members provided a fertile field for experiments. "Diversion Voice" perform instrumental music that is close in style to progressive, atmospheric, psychedelic, rock. By the time "Diversion Voice" emerged, the musicians had already worked well together in other music collectives. They all used to be members of the "Kitaygorod". Alexey Kryuchkov and Matvey Ushakov take part in live performances and help Felix Tokarev and his group "Offшоры" by the studio work. Ivan Dorokhov is a member of "The Danke Schon" project. Ilya Bolkisev makes sets with DJs. Dmitry Krasov performed with the "Global Beat School" and now is a part of "Udalennie Faily" group (which later joined Alexey Kryuchkov and Matvey Ushakov). There is no ideological leader in "Diversion Voice", who would direct the creative process to a particular course. Instead of that, the directing vector of the group is a tacit rule: to keep those musical variants, that give the best fit for all the members. A result of such collective work are unusual compositions that you can hear at live performances.

She was also responsible for putting together a Motown revue with her good friends, Lori Lynner and [a10142101] (real name Romona Gibbons). Their group was called the Sh’Girls. Yuill's turn for a film song would come 16 years later in 2000, when a song "Riding the Waves" from her first album ([r=12053591]), released in 1992, and produced in Philly by Bob King was used in Curt Crane's independent film Postcards for Paradise Park. The film starred Matt Caruso, Peter Walker, Conrad Karlson, Karen Scioli and [a7649537]. In addition to Out of the Blue, she has had another album released. Way Down Deep which came out in 2004. It included the songs "All I'd Ever Need", "Way Down Deep" and "I'd Rather be There". One of the musicians who played on the album was drummer [a585646]. In 2014, she was booked to play at the Moorestown DeCafe in Moorestown, NJ .. Her brother Tony Yuill is an active musician.

Search | Add | 4 | Fred Mauck | Label owner and studio engineer. Fredrick R. Mauck was born April 24, 1913, in Yetter, Iowa. He was active as a clarinetist in the Boone (Iowa) High School band as well as a member of the school’s orchestra and chamber orchestra. By 1932, he was also a student director for the school orchestra. Throughout the 1930s, he “…traveled the Midwest with the Freddie Mauck Orchestra,” according to his obituary in the 'Quad City Times'. The band is reported to have traveled a territory ranging from Iowa to the Canadian Border, and south through Kansas. The Freddie Mauck Orchestra is reported to have disbanded on December 31, 1936. From 1939 until the time of his retirement, Fred is frequently listed as a film projectionist at venues like The Paradise Theatre in Moline, Illinois (1939 into the 1940s), The Roxy Theatre in Moline (around 1945 to at least 1955) and The Spruce Hills Twin Theater in Bettendorf, Iowa (around 1977-1979). By 1949, Fred and his first wife, Mayphine, resided at a Moline address shared with a transcription recording business known as [l1859176]. It’s presumed that this business, which produced program content for local radio stations and rehearsal recordings for nearby dance studios, was the genesis of [l247100] Records. Fred’s marriage to Lois Hansen in 1951 inspired the name of the Fredlo label, resulting from a contraction of the names Fred and Lois. The studio relocated from Moline across the river to Davenport, Iowa, around 1956, with the Maucks living on the second floor above the recording facility. After shutting down the studio in 1976, Fred spent two more years as a projectionist before retiring with his wife to the community of Grand Marais, Minnesota, where he passed away March 11, 1995.
