Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | 李难 | 李难 | Li Nan (李难) studied at an Irish Catholic school when he was younger, however his uproarious "rock'n'roll" spirit and belief that "God is made of flesh and blood" caused him to join the Christian extreme sect "Jesus Christ Holy Priest Community" resulting in him being kicked out of the school. He returned to China in 2000 and started the band [a8782204], which ended in 2003. After that he mysteriously disappeared all together. He returned with Chao Liumeng, who plays the morin khuur. The two of them went to Tibet on three different occasions in 2003, where Li Nan studied several pagan religions, after which, he renamed the band [a1023569]. In 2005 Li Nan disappeared again, only to return once more as a more mysterious 'skin-headed' person whose corpus was covered in in signs and symbols. |

It became a 3-piece band in 2005 as Tomeda Tomekichi (bass) and Wada Shinji joined, and after several jams and shows, they released "さんくちゅありぃ" (which they claim has been praised as "Ziggy Stardust for the 21st century"). Wada Shinji switched to guitar as the new drummer Tanimura Jugemu brazenly joined the group, now a 4-piece. |

Search | Add | 6 | Briget Boyle | Briget Boyle | Briget Boyle's songs are compelling reminders that healing and redemption are coming. With gritty, vulnerable lyrics, pristine vocals, and driving playing on her antique Gibson J45, Briget’s 90s rock-tinged songs center the truth-telling power of the human voice. Sincerity is magnetic and Briget's songs often inspire listeners to put pen to paper, clear their throats, and dust off their old guitars. What will happen when you listen? Briget’s songwriting awakens the act of witnessing. She goes deep to mine for truth and what comes out is a powerful vocal expression that is magnetic. Her sound comes from an authentic way of living and is driven by deep connections that she has forged along her diverse path of music making. She views music as the mortar of human experience that ties us together in ways that nothing else can. Earthy and grounded in connection to spirit, Briget possesses an ability to leverage life’s challenges and make music that navigates them with grace. She creates as a means of integration of her lived experiences. Briget's wisdom is not only to learn from past experiences by facing them, but also to embrace the suffering that inevitably leads to more complete insights. Briget was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where she got an early start in music. As the child of two music industry veterans, she always knew that being a musician was not just a calling, but part of her DNA. Her first professional experience was working in Hollywood's film scoring studios alongside her legendary recording engineer father, the late Tim Boyle. She served as his second engineer for Starship Troopers, Animaniacs, Money Talks and more. She began writing songs right when she was 12 years old and attended the College of Santa Fe to study Music Performance & Composition. It was here that her musical journey took an unexpected turn. She discovered the rich traditional folk music of the Balkans and quickly became a student of the voice and of traditional singing styles. This study led her to many years of performing with Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble, Brass Menažeri Balkan Brass Band, and True Life Trio. Briget recognizes the responsibility and opportunities that accompany multi-hyphenate creative life. She is always full of ideas and the sheer audacity to pursue them. Briget founded an independent record label, Waxsimile Productions and queer musician collective, built a successful vocal coaching practice, and has been a key member of various Bay Area world music ensembles. Her musical and professional perspective is unique and it is echoed in her songs. Her new album, Heartbreak Residue is now available. |

Search | Add | 6 | Three Bridges | Three Bridges’ music is rooted in traditional ”southern gospel” and ”black gospel” music. This blended style has made Three Bridges an internationally-acclaimed Gospel group — one that is known for tight harmonies, a unique vocal style, an exciting and energy packed stage presence and, most importantly, for spreading the joy of the Good News of Christ. They have entertained and ministered to millions through their recordings, TV appearances and live shows — which is why Three Bridges has quickly become one of the most prominent Gospel groups in Christian music today.

There always has been a preference for "Dance" music, but he also listened and watched the crowd what they want to hear on the dance floor. As a remixer he has made hundreds of mixes for national and local radio mixes in the Netherlands. Short mash-up’s from 5 minutes to complete years mixes of one hour. Now the “Dance Detective” spins the wheels of steel at classic dance parties. |

Search | Add | 6 | DVJ Kaa | Laurent Jreijiri | Kaa is a pioneer of the Middle East electronic scene, celebrating his tenth year of Dj’ing in 2008, with over a hundred performances worldwide. Born in 1979, and after growing up during the Lebanese civil war, he is expatriated to France in 1989 where he’ll accomplish his education. A musician since his young, he plays the piano, the guitar, oriental percussions and experiments on all kind of hybrid instruments. In 1998 Kaa decides to take his career seriously as a self-accomplished Dj. 1999 was the year where he and his Lebanese friends founded the Beirut Underground (Bug System) project, developing the electronic scene through unique events in the Middle East. After graduating from a French Graphic design school, he decides in 2001 to launch his Vj project, the Visual Suspects; because according to his philosophy the visuals could not exist without the music, they are two elements intimately linked. These two musical and graphic projects will thus be merged together, giving us: The Kaa. Being among the first to initialize a new and single performance of a DJ and a VJ together, creating the term of DVJ - an audiovisual concept completely synchronized. After joining Tribal Vision records, Kaa releases his first compilation called “Cabaret” in June 2008, a concept of the electronic modern ball, featuring highly respected artists from the progressive scene such as Dousk, Luke Porter, Duca, Brisker & Magitman, Tegma and more. His first track “Red Led” co-produced with Motion, also appears on this compilation. In 2008 he became the artistic director and resident dj for the “Progressiv’ nights” parties organized by Gaia Concept at the Nix Nox – in the center of Paris. In charge of making the line -ups, he would be booking some of the most talented artists such as Vibrasphere, Side-A, Solead, Jaia, D-sens, Dj Pena, Dj Ondrej, Dj Mc Gregor just to name a few. Following the steps of his ancestors the Phoenicians, Kaa has performed in many countries such as Mexico, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, India, and all around Europe! He has also played in prestigious venues such as The Mass and the University Of London in the U.K, the Trabendo & the Batofar in Paris, at B018 in Beirut, and more recently in Asia’s biggest club based in New Delhi: The Elevate. He has also been invited to perform at large scale events such as the Techno Parade in Paris and the Street Parade in Bologna. He was in charge of the visual projections during various showcases at the Champs-Elysées’ Fnac. His musical knowledge has made him play with many icons of the electronic scene such as Plasticman aka Richie Hawtin, Jerome Isma-Ae, D-Nox & Beckers, Francesco Farfa, Tall Paul, Antix, Tegma, Atmos, Dj Kristian, Dj Slater, and many more. Since some years ago, he became interested in music, playing some well-known songs and until now, decided to produce own tracks. In spite of being an amateur, he wants to share his synth-pop songs on the internet as he enjoys writing and producing them. He uses the retro style from 80s or 90s since he considers that it is one of the best eras. Michael Jackson, Queen and most of the 80s / 90s europop bands are his musical influences. His songs deal with many topics such as love, greed, evil, injustice, hypocrisy and achievements. |

Search | Add | 6 | Ricky Zaziky + Die Holidays | Novelty and parody project by [a=Mathias Bozó], starting in 1993 with the song "Du hast noch Sperma in den Haaren", that in the subsequent years was accomplished with a bunch of similar songs. In order to mark the project as a parody and to separate it from his other projects, the artist created the fictional character [a=Ricky Zaziky]. The early demos were produced and recorded by Mathias Bozó himself in Heidelberg. After sending a demo tape to german TV station VIVA in 1997, the artist appeared on [a=Stefan Raab]'s Vivasion TV show with the Sperma song (and a fake playback band). 1998 four tracks from the repertoire were released on a music cassette (later available as free mp3 download on ponkoff-music.de) with all music played by the artist. 2002 the artist appeared on british Channel 4, once again with the Sperma song. After moving to Lüneburg in 2002, Mathias renewed the concept, the songs and the stage show for his Ricky Zaziky appearances. He formed a live band (The Holidays) and recorded new versions of the old songs and some new novelty songs. In 2008 he published a Promo EP with four songs, followed by a full album, recorded with his band and a couple of guest musicians. Anyway, the concept of the project and the musicians had aged in between, so shortly after the album release Mathias Bozó ended the project, seeing the 2008 album as a gift for all fans who had been waiting for the album for nearly 15 years.

Search | Add | 6 | Syncretism | Syncretism, NOUN : the amalgamation of different religions, cultures or schools of thought. Dave Scotland and Peter Koppes first met in a different time as musical partner guitarists in a Glam Rock band called Baby Grande. Achieving some notoriety and success, the band ran its fiery course but ultimately fell apart. Peter soon after became one of the founding members of The Church which has become one of the enduring Australian acts able to achieve world wide success. Meanwhile, Dave kept away from the spotlight after an unproductive solo recording career with Wizard Records, at the time a part of EMI. But he kept songwriting and recording because the flame wouldn't go out. Recently, an opportunity arose for Peter and Dave to revive their musical co-writing and performing friendship. The music flowed from this and suddenly a first album was born with all instruments played by Peter and Dave. Peter wrote wonderful story-telling lyrics that allowed Dave to record vocals on the songs. The resulting record is very much a collaborative effort. This is and we are Syncretism.

Bobby Harris decided to form a tribute band with members from the The Bar-Kays, Con Funk Shun, Gap Band and the SOS Band, called the United We Funk All-Stars. A studio album followed, including a tribute to the late Roger Troutman, who performs on the album as well. Other artists from the genre who contributed to the album were the late Rick James and System. The concept was also captured on a live CD, presented and promoted by radio jockey Tom Joyner, who made the announcements on the UWF-All Stars shows.

Search | Add | 6 | Escaping Pavement | Detroit, MI, Americana wildflowers amongst blades of bluegrass. Have you Escaped the Pavement lately? There’s something about the bend of the mandolin, the rustle of the guitar, the gale-like wave of the vocal melody…, that calls you to adventure. Songwriting duo Emily Burns and Aaron Markovitz have always been adapting. The two Michiganders met as individual music makers in the blues open-mic circles; then they studied their craft together in California, and wound up taking to the seas to cover Top 40 hits for a cruise ship’s dance hall. After that, they started a southern rock-inclined, neo-country quartet, called Escaping Pavement. But most of their fans started finding them after 2014, when they kept their intrepid-sounding name but pared down to just a duo. With just their voices, an acoustic guitar and a mandolin, they wrote and recorded an album (The Night Owl) that was heavy on melody-slung Americana and rollicking, twangy ballads that attained a radiance through their magnificent harmonies. Now, they’re adapting again, this time as Road Warriors. Road Warriors: … we don’t mean that in a Mad Max sort of way...,, but it’s nevertheless a fitting title for their new EP. It’s been a year of discovery and progress for Escaping Pavement as they’ve entered this next phase. They played nearly 150 shows in 2018, mixing high-profile slots like the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance with more intimate engagements inside domestic abodes, all the while meeting and connecting with a range of wonderful new fans. They covered 60,000 miles, 28 states, and headlined six sold-out shows, including playing to their biggest audience to date. But with Burns and Markovitz both being John Muir-like romantics for the majesty of nature, they were absolutely thrilled to perform at the Zion Canyon Music Festival in Springfield Utah, right at the entrance to Zion National Park. It quickly became one of the highlights of their year. Since 2012, through their music and their lifestyle, Burns and Markovitz have extolled the restorative principals of “…Escaping the Pavement.” Fueled by the graceful grit and fine fiery energy of their acoustic guitar, mandolin and swooning harmonies, the intent was to integrate the uniquely holistic qualities of folk, roots and Americana music as a way of accessing an elemental peace of mind that’s always quietly waiting for us out there in the wilderness. While they developed their sound over two prior and very distinctly arranged albums, they tried to emphasize the splendors of unplugging every once and a while and taking in the outdoors, be it parks, trails, beaches, woods or mountains. But with the release of their third batch of recorded songs this Spring, Escaping Pavement are now embracing a Road Warrior outlook. Sure, they’re still escaping the pavement, but now they’re spending more time cruising across several interstate highways in a vintage, Jayco RV. Because from here on out, they’ll be consistently striking out for new territories and bold new experiences—particularly by taking on music as their full time profession. While any average independent artist probably has a day-job tethering them from full time tours, Escaping Pavement are making it their prerogative now to bring their evocative ballads, twangy rhythmic strums and soaring vocals to as many ears as possible—be it at bars, clubs, or outdoor festivals, or even your living room. The experience of making acoustic music together and getting back to nature can, of course, strengthen anyone’s songwriting sensibilities, but you begin to really find yourself, once you’re out there on the road! And as “warriors,” they’ve found they’re not defined by battles, so to speak, but more so by a bravery. Sure it’s a brave step for these songwriters to dive in 100% and begin adapting to road-life, but they if they both feel braver, or perhaps more enthused, it’s because of all of the people that they’ve gotten to meet and share time with: a diverse range of unique and affable people, be they music lovers in the audience, or fellow songwriters sharing their stage. The idea of a “home” for musical Road Warriors is ever-changing. But the question of what a “homecoming” might mean, then, for Road Warriors like them, now, is a more ponderous and amorphous concept that Burns and Markovitz mine to full poetic potential with the songs on their new EP. The intention, and really the lifestyle, now, is to remain as adaptable as ever, and to always be “finding” rather than “searching.” The only certain destination: Escaping the Pavement. \\Bio written by Jeff Milo\\

At 17, in 1962, he joined the United States Air Force, right after graduating from high school. He graduated at the top of his classes in training & became a Medical Service Specialist. In November, 1963, he was Honorably Discharged, with Service Medals, Citations & Diplomas. Upon his return to Kansas, he formed his first band, “The Aardvarks,” a regional favorite for about five years. In 1968, his second band, “The New Survivors,” recorded at Hi-Fidelity Studios in Wichita, KS, on the Kan Wic Label. The bands first record, “The Pickle Protest,” written by Tony, became a #1 regional hit, & was quickly, picked up by Scepter Records of New York, New York. The record was selected as a “Bill Gavin Personal Pick,” along with “Hey Jude.” This was a first for any band from Kansas. The band’s label mates, included, B. J. Thomas, Little Richard, Deep Purple, Dionne Warwick & The Shirelles. Unfortunately, the band’s five-record contract with Scepter was cancelled after their manager cashed a $150,000 advance check, & vanished! 1970 - 1972, Tony was elected by fellow music students, as Student Director of the Fort Scott Community College, Stage & Concert band’s, as well at the largest, College Marching Band in the United States. Tony led this band down the field, at the televised, National Junior College Football Championship…the Shrine Bowl, in Savannah, Georgia, December, 1971. FSCC won against Mesa, AZ! While attending FSCC, he formed, “Shootin’ Bluz,“ with first-chair horn players from the concert band. This was a 7 piece group, & performed with a “light show,” produced by Roger Aldis…“Rogers Rainbow.“ 1972, while attending Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, Tony auditioned & was given the position of lead singer with another horn band, “The Sensational Showmen.” This group performed a reunion concert, as a Humanities For The Arts, event in 2008, & were inducted into the Kansas Music Hall (2) Of Fame, in 2009. In the mid 70’s, he was signed as a solo, songwriter/recording artist with GRT/Catfish, Nashville. GRT released several singles, with the most successful being, “Rock & Roll Cowboy,” which topped Canadian Charts. Some label mates at GRT, included, Mickey Gilley, Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison, Kool & The Gang, Steely Dan, & The Mamas & Papas. In 1975, Teebo was elected, under his legal name, as an ASCAP Songwriter, with ASCAP advancing him several, thousand dollars, to help his career. In January, 1981, Teebo’s recording of, “Welcome Home,” was played at the White House, in honor of the release of American Hostages, by the government of Iran. 1980’s: Tony was contracted to sing four-part-harmony on a Skeeter Davis, recording, & he recorded a set of songs with Janie Fricke singing his background tracks. He was also fortunate enough to record with the famous, Bobby Hardin Singers, & Hargus “Pig” Robbins on piano. Most of his recording was done at Producers Workshop, in Oklahoma City, with additional recording at Ojas, Studio 7, Benson Sound, Them Girls, & the Dick Wilkinson Studios, also in OKC. His “Kick-N-Lick” project, began at Ojas, continued at Billy’s Band Aid in Amarillo, & was mastered at the famous Bill Rase Studio, in Sacramento, CA. Tony also recorded at LSI & Woodland Studios in Nashville. In 1992, while living in Colorado Springs, CO, Tony wrote a performance review & interviewed The Marshal Tucker Band for Steppin‘ Out Magazine. The editor was impressed, & within a month, Tony had a ten-page, weekly section in Steppin’ Out, called Western World. Over the next several years, he reviewed many performers including, Billy Dean, Mark Chesnutt, Yakov Smirnoff, Wayne Newton, Toby Keith, Fess Parker, Johnny Paycheck, Chris Ledoux, Highway 101, Confederate Railroad, Waylon Jennings, Doug Stone, Glen Campbell, Ray Stevens, Andy Williams, Roy Clark, President & Mrs. Bush (Senior), Moe bandy, John Anderson, Johnny Cash, Jim Stafford & T.G. Sheppard, & penned dozens of informational articles dealing with a myriad of subjects. In 1997, Tony was contacted by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, & contracted as lead singer with the Show Band, “Northern Lights.” The band played the main showroom, “Anchors Aweigh,” to a full-house of 735 cruisers, six nights a week. Other performers included The Captain & Tennille, &The 5th Dimension. He rates this experience as a career highlight. His first, self-recorded CD, “Timeless,” was released in 2001. This CD collected many, positive newspaper reviews & continues selling today. In 2008, he won First Place at the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, for his instrumental composition, “For The Fallen.” 2012 saw the release of his second, solo CD, “Small Consolation.,” another critically acclaimed project. Teebo’s first self-recorded, instrumental project, “Earth Touch,” was released in 2012. This project was created to draw further attention to the continued destruction of the worlds Rain Forests. His music has been used for nearly two decades, in the television series, “Pay Back,” in Spain, & his various recordings are currently being played in all European & Scandinavian Countries as well as The United Kingdom & New Zealand. Carmy returns with two sensational new singles this Autumn '22, having once again teamed up with songwriter, Nick Corbin and producer, Mitch Ayling of The Milk. Born and raised in North West London, Carmy had a rich musical upbringing: Her Mother and Step-Father were DJs on several underground stations including Roots, Unique and Flava Radio. The likes of Janet Kay, Louisa Marks and Chaka Khan all featured heavily during her formative years, whilst an early grounding in Gospel singing developed her vocal style and stage craft. Having also sung with Cool Million, PM Warson, Charles and House Gospel Choir, Carmy was also an original member of New Street Adventure, making a major contribution to “No Hard Feelings” - NSA’s debut album on Acid Jazz - with her stunning backing vocals elevating the record to modern soul classic status.

Search | Add | 6 | Paul's Big Radio | Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, MI Paul's Big Radio is a roots influenced rock and roll band featuring songs by Morris Paul Lippens. Harmony driven vocals, a tasty two guitar punch and *pedals* Morris Paul Lippens - vocals, guitar Josh Killom - guitar, vocals Jerry Hancock - bass Robin M. Grant - vocals Paul's Big Radio is led by singer and songwriter Paul Lippens, who is specialize in a kind of delightfully ragged alt-country-tinged roots rock that seldom drifts into genre clichés, thanks largely to Lippens' heartfelt and personal approach to the stories he tells. This is the kind of thing Gram Parsons had always dreamed of, a seamless mix of country, soul, and rock & roll that he termed "Cosmic American Music," and Paul's Big Radio music is exactly that. The traditional material is done with the ragged passion of the truly smitten and possessed, with lead singer Paul Lippens' vocals careening through mountain standards in a kind of spry, spirited hoedown that would make any mountain string band proud. Yeah, it sounds distantly like bluegrass, but it isn't, drawing its strength from an older and deeper well. Lead guitarist Josh Killom in particular really shines and points to how unpredictable and versatile PBR really are. This isn't a band content to stand in one place very long, and it will be interesting to see where they go next
