Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Bubuska Valença | Ivan Rangel Neto | Ivan Rangel Neto, or simply Bubuska Valença, as the Brazilian singer, instrumentalist, composer, and actor became known, is the author of several compositions recorded by big names in Brazilian popular music (MPB). Born into a family of artists, the son of the poet Luciano Pontual Rangel do Rego Barros and the writer Maria da Paz Valença Rangel, or simply Pazita Valença, he learned to play the guitar from an early age and later began composing and having his songs recorded by great interpreters of Brazilian Popular Music. For example, in 1976, the song "Festa da Apartação" was recorded by Banda de Pau e Corda; the song "Marca Ferrada" was recorded by Paulo Diniz in 1978, a collaboration with his mother, Pazita Valença. He emerged in the last important MPB festivals, in the late 70s and early 80s, and was a driving force in the Pernambuco carnival, with his electric sailboat on the Capibaribe River during carnival. "Um Deus Vagabundo" is Bubuska's first solo album. In 1978, he appeared on two tracks of an LP, "Primeira Cantoria da Músicas Nordestinas," which featured the best songs presented at the Regional Festival organized by TV Globo in Recife, where he placed among the top contenders with his compositions: "Sertão, Pedra, Pau e Poeira" and "Se Oriente, Moço," the latter in collaboration with his mother, Pazita Valença. He went to Rio de Janeiro to participate in two TV Globo music programs, called "Sexta Super" and "Brasil Pandeiro," where he received offers from record labels RCA and WEA, which he refused, due to many Northeastern artists recording with them and not seeing any progress in their careers; he waited for longer-term opportunities. In 1978-1979, he took a theater course at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios with Professor Luís Carvalheira. From 1979 to 1984, he acted in the popular spectacle: The Passion of Christ of Nova Jerusalém. At the First Popular Music Festival of the Northeast, he placed third with the song "Lost Like a Blind Man in the Middle of a Shootout" and won the award for Best Performer of the year. He participated in several festivals and won several awards, including at the "It's Time to Sing" Festival of Rede Tupi Television in São Paulo in 1979, winning in the Best Lyrics category with the song: "I Want to Be There," which earned him a contract with Polygram in 1980. In 1980, the singer Maricenne Costa recorded "Quantas e Quantos," composed in partnership with Antônio Adolfo, and in the same year, the singer Fafá de Belém recorded "Cabresto" and "Baque do Coração," both in partnership with the late Vevé Calazans. In 1983, Jessé recorded "Rosas de Maio". The following year, Tânia Alves recorded "Cadê Nós" and his cousin Alceu Valença recorded "A menina dos meus olhos". In 1985, the singer Baby Consuelo recorded "Desejo Colorido," and Alceu Valença recorded "Mar de amor menina" in 1986, and many other artists recorded songs composed by him. He has always dedicated himself to creating soundtracks and jingles, imbuing them with his restless personality and latent creative power, factors that characterize him as an artist of multiple ideas and achievements that transcend the limits of music, constantly seeking innovation and independence to present his work. For example, he built a giant puppet named "Bubuskão," which he used to play and promote his songs throughout the city; another example was performing on a mobile stage, and for years "Asas da América" (Wings of America) was his stage along with his cousins Marcos and Marcelo Valença. Gradually, he realized that his music needed a more effective means of communication to promote his work, so he created "Rádio Buska," transforming a buggy into a mini mobile stage, not limiting himself to promoting his music only in his city, but throughout the country. In 1990, during his trip to Europe, more precisely in Venice, Italy, the country hosting the FIFA World Cup, while playing the guitar on a gondola ride, he had the idea of building a musical boat. Returning to Recife, he put his idea into practice, building the only known aquatic electric trio, which he named: "Águas da Boa Viagem" Aquatic Electric Trio. It is an electric sailboat designed to be a floating stage to bring his music to the beach, uniting his passions: the sea and music. This vessel, completed in 1993, participated in events and environmental projects such as: Curta o Capibaribe, Bloco Aquático Galinha d´Água, Carnival on the Capibaribe River, and the Clean Beach Project, in which he played music and informed the public about beach maintenance. |

Arnie next appeared on Mercury, with his name tweaked to Bobby Corrado. Again, no hit, but Arnie aka Bobby released again the following year on Capitol, this time using the name Chris Holland. After that, in 1972, Arnie Corrado returned to work with his dad Ralph in his famous Rosie's Diner in Little Ferry, New Jersey, so renamed after Nancy Walker was filmed there as Rosie the Waitress in a series of TV ads for Bounty paper towels. The diner has a rich history of its own, well documented in newspaper archives and by diner aficionados, and Arnie is often mentioned. - "Obscure Originators Dept" at poparchives.com.au |

Their highly original work has gained them extensive recognition both here and abroad. They have evolved a revue form with short plays, song,s dances, stories tung together as a child might freely associate. In place of typical sets and costumes made with theatrical paints and fabrics the paper bag players use easily obtained everyday things, paper bags, cardboard boxes and household objects, with these simple, very familiar materials the paper bag players create a complete theatre fantasy. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | The Space-Makers | Big Beat Band (1963-1966) Carsten "Krasser" Weber Vocal, Boris Blinoff (Guitar), Jørn "Grye" Nielsen (Organ), Hans Kelp (Drums) Jørn Bonnesen (Bass) formed in Odense Denmark in 1963 with the following members: Carsten Weber (lead-voc.) Jørn Bonnesen (bass) Hans Kelp (ex- Apron Strings, dm) Jørn Mader (ex-Teen Beats, rhythm-gt) Boris »Binkowski« Blinoff (ex- Les Amis, lead gt) Originally played in the style of Cliff Richard & Shadows, but changed the style when Big Beat -broke through, & was especially inspired by the Indonesian group - The Javalins. During a tour to Hamburg's Star Club in the summer of 1964, Blinoff left the group and joined the German group Avalons. Mader took over lead-gt. & Jørn Grüe Nielsen (ex- Rebels, org) stepped in. In the spring of 1965, Blinoff returned and Mader stepped down. This crew won the Funen Championship in Pop Music 1965 & was placed as No. 3 at the subsequent DM in the Falkoner Center the same year, which led to a record contract and the broadcast of (1). At the end of 1965, Blinoff and Grüe left and were replaced by Niels Erik »Speedy« Sejr-Nielsen (org) (ex-Teen Beats) Poul Andy Andersen (lead-gt)(ex-Teen Beats). Spacemakers disbanded in the summer of 1966. The group played primarily on Funen and in Jutland, i.a. in Centrum Pop in Århus, Tyrolerlandsbyen in Vejle and in Hot House in Odense. Was also widely used warm-up group for foreign groups in Fyens Forum, i.a. The Rolling Stones, Pretty Things and Swinging Blue Jeans. Weber and Andy Andersen continued with Les Amis. For the city of Odense's 1000th anniversary in 1988, Mader, Blinoff and Kelp restore the group for a single day, and are assisted by Torben Wulff (bass). Once again the group is restored in 1992 and 1993 - this time, however, with Thomas Jacobsen on el-b. At the event "Rock with wrinkles 2000" in Odense, the group was resurrected with 4 of the members who formed it in 1963, as well as one of the 1965 members: Mader, Blinoff, Andersen, Bonnesen and Kelp (Bonnesen had not had a bass guitar in his hand in 33 years!). Also played in June and August 2001 respectively in Den Fynske Landsby and in Kongens Have and again at "Rock med Rynker" 2001, 2002, 2003 (Kelp stopped and was replaced by Jesper Olsen (ex-Roust About, Nemo and others)) , 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 (2008 unfortunately without an ill Mader), 2009, 2010, 2011: Bonnesen, Jesper I. Olsen (dm), Andersen, Peter Hansen (voc) Released in 2010 the CD "Back in time" and in 2013 "Don't stop the music..". Had a 50th anniversary concert in 2013 with the crew Bonnesen, Olsen, Blinoff, Hansen, Andersen, Palle B. Christensen (piano), where Mader, Kelp and Rock-Nalle also participated. Dissolved in 2015 due to internal problems regarding repertoire, direction and seriousness. Poul Andy and Boris Blinoff form the group X-All Stars with Jesper Olsen (including ex-Blues Syndicate, Roust About and Spacemakers) and Erling Andersen (including ex-Rockfighters, Candy Boys and Jackson's Garden). Spacemakers continues with Bonnesen, Mader, Hansen and Nikolaj Fage Lorentzen (dm) and Palle Christensen (piano). | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Kikipopo | Noah Thompson | Born from the cosmic dust of discarded circuit boards, Kikipopo quickly became an electronic music sensation with his uncanny ability to turn everyday appliances into single day appliances. Legend has it that Kikipopo's first concert involved a synchronized symphony of toasters, blenders, and alarm clocks that left audiences both amazed and hungry for breakfast. Offstage, Kikipopo is known for his eccentricities. He insists on wearing a wide assortment of soggy headbands at all times, claiming that they help him pick up AM radio. He has been spotted sipping apple cider vinegar while tinkering with vintage synthesizers that emit confusion-scented smoke. Despite his quirks, Kikipopo's influence on the electronic music scene cannot be denied, as he continues to push the boundaries of what is considered danceable, and music. And so, Kikipopo's legacy continues to pulsate through the veins of the west coast rave scene, forever pushing the boundaries of sound and good taste. Whether he is composing symphonies on a keyboard made of Slim Jims or leading a parade of dancing piranhas, Kikipopo remains an icon of smooth jazz, reminding us all that sometimes the least-traveled paths can lead to the back of a 7-Eleven, and isn't that where we're all trying to end up? |

| Search | Add | 6 | Frank Virtuoso | Francis F. Virtuoso | Born on January 21, 1923. He played the violin as a child and took up the guitar and the double bass as a teenager. He continued with the latter as a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra and studied orchestration at Temple University. He enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and became bandleader of the Regular Navy Dance Band in Bainbridge, Maryland. He was discharged in 1946 because his father, who had been diagnosed with cancer, could no longer support his family. Virtue considered putting together a big band but, due to financial constraints, assembled an amplified trio instead, with Ralph Frederico on the piano and Steve Rossi on the guitar. Virtue named the band the Virtuoso Trio after their formation in 1947. The Virtuoso Trio toured the regional club circuit for the better part of a decade, playing as far as Canada and making regular appearances on Philadelphia radio and television. They appear to have been the house band at Chubby's Cafe in West Collingswood, New Jersey in 1949 and 1950. They performed as a backup ensemble for Patti Page, Rosemary Clooney, Dick Haymes, June Christy, and others. When local Pennsylvanians Bill Haley & the Comets hit big in the mid-1950s, Virtue found a receptive audience in the teenagers who loved the nascent rock & roll craze. By this time, the group's lineup had expanded, with Virtue on the bass, John Renner on the saxophone, Jimmy Bruno on the guitar, Joe Vespe on the drums, and Dave Kaplin as an occasional vocalist. Under the name the Virtues, they released a rock reworking of Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith's country hit "Guitar Boogie" in 1958 under the title "Guitar Boogie Shuffle", on the Hunt label. The instrumental became a major hit in the U.S., peaking at #27 on the Black Singles chart and #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959. The single also became a sheet music smash, selling well worldwide. Several singles followed – "Flippin", "Boogie Woogie", "Vaya con Dios" – but none of them succeeded; the group was signed by ABC-Paramount, but their only return to the charts was with the 1962 release "Guitar Boogie Shuffle Twist" which reached #95 in the United States pop charts. Towards the end of 1962, Virtue disbanded the group and primarily pursued a career as a record producer and recording engineer. His original studio, in the basement of his house on Fayette Street, was where "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" was originally recorded. He opened a new business, [l368463], located at 1618 N. Broad St., which became one of the top studios in Philadelphia for a number of years until closing in the early 1980s. He produced and mixed (with his wife Mary Anne Virtue) groups such as "Society's Child", a top 40 band from the Wilmington, Delaware area. Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, among others, produced records at Virtue's studio before moving on to [l264049]. The song "Hey There, Lonely Girl" by Eddie Holman was produced at the studio, as were "That's Life" and "Who Stole the Keeshka?" by Gabriel & the Angels. In later years Virtue Studios was the home of a number of rap groups, including Dr. Roxx & Co. Collectables Records released a collection of Virtues instrumentals in 1993 as Guitar in Orbit.. |
