Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Gayle Andrews | US jazz singer. Producing only one LP, as a result of the insistence of the theatrical producer Dick Kellmarr, who was also the owner of the bistro "The Left Bank" where she sang before recording. Gayle Andrews varied and professional singing engagement ranged from the theater and club dates at the Perseverance Club in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to the famous Rustic Cabin in New Jersey, well known for the name bands (and incidentally managed by Gayle). The trail lead from the Bellevue Theater in Paramariba, Suriname to her own Night n' Gayle Room at the Pin Up Resaraunt in New York City. Gayle also sang her way through Georgetown, British Guiana, San Juan, Puerto Rico and other ports of call along the Spanish Main. Her versatility won her a straight acting role in Warner Brothers "Marjorie Mornington".

Search | Add | 6 | Draaiorgel de Vijfbeelden | Draaiorgel De Vijf Beelden | Dutch barrel organ (street organ) "De Vijf Beelden" (The Five Figures). Originally build before 1910 in Paris by the Gasparini company and named after the five figures at its front, one conductor, two calling ladies and two rigid (not moving) ladies in dance posture. In 1926, when it belonged to Louis Holvoet, completely remodeled by the Carl Frei company in Breda, which removed the figures in the front and added two side panels with fashionably dressed ladies. After it was acquired by Henk Möhlmann from Amsterdam, the organ's front received three new figures, in addition to the side panels, so that it again deserved its original name, "De Vijf Beelden." |

Search | Add | 6 | 30OT6 | Band from Columbus, Ohio Members: Derrick Zajac - Guitar Brent Billet - Vocals Sean Miller - Bass Tim Dillard - Drums Bio: Based in Columbus, Ohio Thirty Ought Six is an innovative, hard-hitting, groove oriented rock band with high focus on melodies. Their well written songs come together naturally, as if they were writing themselves. This is a true statement to the chemistry between the 4 members, who have come together with like minds to create great music, and share it with the masses. Their defiance against musical genres has actually become the band's style, blending pure rock aggression with texture and sound-scapes of sonic melody. Thankful that the four were brought together, they all shared the same feeling that it was somehow meant to be for a reason. They quickly became close friends, each feeling as though they had grown up together. Their musical chemistry and each other bringing different influences and approaches, seems to blend in a way that makes their song writing and music an irresistible experience to behold. The four did not waste any time as they brought Tim up to speed on some previously existing ideas, adding his unique style completed the material. After a few months, they had written an arsenal of commercially viable yet hard hitting new songs. Setting goals are priority for the band, as they started with the behind the scenes work; copyrighting, promo packs, website, and finding the resources to record and release their first EP, during which they also found time to book and play shows on a regular basis. Their hard work had finally paid off, as they entered the John Schwab Recording studio in Columbus, with engineer Joe "Neo" Viers to record their 7 song EP, self titled: "Thirty Ought Six". Here starts the next chapter for the four, where they have to work hard for that once in a lifetime opportunity. They are focused to keep steady the determination to bring their high energy sonic message to the masses, that are unaware that their favorite CD will have Thirty Ought Six written all over it.

Search | Add | 6 | TS Brooks | American singer-songwriter based in Berlin. Ask T.S. Brooks, and he'll say his music lies halfway between the city and the country. But he admits to the casual listener it could come across as none of that. Nevertheless he straddles two extremes - that of the noise of anonymity, and the soothing flow of isolation. Admittedly influenced by artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, and Lou Reed, Brooks paints pictures that allow the listener to bask in the light of detachment; in a place where you can hear yourself listening. Earlier For some ten years, T.S. Brooks cut his teeth in the American indie-psych band, Minmae. When that was over, Brooks moved to Europe to pursue folk music full time, free of the joys and follies that come with the former. In Berlin he found a thriving acoustic scene, and the city's many basement venues and house shows suited the intimacy of his music, as well as providing a platform for its urgency. Upon arrival, Brooks had just released his first album, 'Tertiary Allotment Is A Delightfulness' on San Francisco, California's Snowstorm Music. In the two years since he has gone on to release 'The Spanish Years', recorded during a month in the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain, and the epic 'Alles Gute', recorded in old Friedrichshain factory in Berlin. Between these two albums, Brooks also recorded a limited edition 12" ep on House of Plenty. His most recent album, album,'Skyhooks', was self-released in 2013. Greywood Records released T.S. Brooks' 'best of...' digital-only album, 'A Network of Flickering Lights (2009-2015)' this year.

Search | Add | 6 | Syncretism | Syncretism, NOUN : the amalgamation of different religions, cultures or schools of thought. Dave Scotland and Peter Koppes first met in a different time as musical partner guitarists in a Glam Rock band called Baby Grande. Achieving some notoriety and success, the band ran its fiery course but ultimately fell apart. Peter soon after became one of the founding members of The Church which has become one of the enduring Australian acts able to achieve world wide success. Meanwhile, Dave kept away from the spotlight after an unproductive solo recording career with Wizard Records, at the time a part of EMI. But he kept songwriting and recording because the flame wouldn't go out. Recently, an opportunity arose for Peter and Dave to revive their musical co-writing and performing friendship. The music flowed from this and suddenly a first album was born with all instruments played by Peter and Dave. Peter wrote wonderful story-telling lyrics that allowed Dave to record vocals on the songs. The resulting record is very much a collaborative effort. This is and we are Syncretism.

Search | Add | 6 | Anabollic Steroids | Anabollic Steroids (deliberate misspelling) are a punk band who first appeared in 1978 as a hoax, with sessions taped from John Peel shows. Young punks James Bondage and Kappa pushed the fake demos around their school, convincing peers that they were a proper band. By 1981, with the introduction of Steve Steroid and 999 Si, they had recorded their own material and become a genuine gigging band with a following known as 'Stinkers'. They split early in 1983. They reformed for a gig in 2012 at the 12 Bar in London which led to the band reforming.

Search | Add | 6 | Буря | «BURYA», storm in Ukrainian, came into existence, around 1970 as a four piece band. Until 1979 it has expanded to 7 members, all from the Toronto area. The highly skilled musical talent of BURYA has provided entertainment to audiences of all manner of functions — weddings, dances, bar mitzvahs and festivals. The band is unique in its versatility and arrangements. It is equally at home with waltzes and polkas,as it is with rock, disco, latin and swing. Its music is enjoyed by both young and old. The band likes to play requests and is noted for providing its audiences with an exciting evening of entertainment. Perhaps you may detect a Prairie flavour in the music. Ron Cahute, the leader and accordionist started his musical career at an early age as a drummer in the band of his late father, Maurice Cahute. It was from this experience that Ron acquired a love and appreciation of Ukrainian music of the Prairie Provinces of Canada. This music in the early years of Ukrainian western settlement of Canada was left to develope on its own, almost completely severed from ties with Ukraine and provides an interesting annal in musical history. It is both Ukrainian and Canadian. Although this record has a Prairie flavour, it is not exclusively so. The music it contains includes the variety and talent that is BURYA. 1979 line-up: Ron Cahute – Leader, accordion, bass, organ, synthesizer, vocals Jaroslaw Hryhorsky – violin, viola Len Steciuk – guitar, violin, vocals David Monis – percussion Ron Lutz – saxophone Mike Romanick – clarinet, saxophone Tom Romanick – saxophone

Search | Add | 6 | Strip The Threads | Strip The Thread’s short existence in 2001, which only lasted for a year, left a memorable impact upon the Dutch Straight Edge hardcore scene. At the time, there were very few European bands who played straight forward clean-cut hardcore, inspired by the ones from a recent past such as Chain of Strenght, Hands Tied, Mouthpiece and Over The Line. On top of that: Strip The Threads consisted of members who were committed to the Straight Edge, (formerly) being part of bands like Reaching Forward, Know Your Enemy, Abusive Action, Product X and One Day Closer. With a budget of no more than just a couple of euros, the band released a limited edition 6 song demo-tape that was recorded in someone’s basement within a day. It sold out immediately and has never been re-released ever since, not until the songs were re-recorded and released as the "Won't hold back" EP by NOT JUST WORDS records not until 2010, but including two new songs. A year after their last show Strip The Threads made a guest appearance at the final show of fellow band Reaching Forward in 2002, the last time that all of the original members got together to play for a completely packed Goudvishal (Arnhem/Holland). A demo, some shirts, a handfull of shows and an amazing EP is what's left of Strip The Thread's legacy. Strip The Threads was: Johan - vocals Arthur - guitar Harm / Arold - bass Daan - drums Strip The Threads on the EP-recording: Johan - vocals / guitar Ries - drums Arthur - guitar / bass

Search | Add | 6 | Raphael Gimenes | Raphael Carvalho Gimenes | The Brazilian-born singer-songwriter Raphael Gimenes has been living in Scandinavia for over 10 years. His debut album, “Raphael Gimenes & As Montanhas de Som”, has been released in several countries in Europe and Asia. It was elected as the “best Brazilian album” of 2016 in Holland and hailed as a “conceptual masterpiece” in Japan. It was chosen among the top 10 albums of 2016 on the website Written in Music. The compositions, which combine elements from the Brazilian folklore and modern harmonies, take the listener deep into the mountains and jungles of Brazil. Gimenes’ songs have been described as “so richly and brilliantly colored, that [they] touch you straight in the heart” (Jazzism magazine), and that “an almost idyllic world is created here, out of Brazilian folk-jazz and poetic introspection.” (Pop Magazine Heaven). Since then, Gimenes has had compositions nominated to the Årets Nye Jazznavn award in Denmark, “the year’s new jazz name”. In 2018, he went on tour in Japan with his quartet América do Sol. Their performance was described as “one of the best in recent years” by music magazine Latina. He has recently been on tour in Argentina and Brazil, where he performed with well-established local musicians. Gimenes is currently working on two projects: an English EP, in co-production with Faroese singer-songwriter Teitur, and a Latin American album, in collaboration with artists from Brazil, Argentina, and Europe. |
