Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 6 Rudolf von Beckerath Rudolf von Beckerath (19 February 1907 – 22 November 1976) was a German master organ builder. Son of the artist [a=Willy von Beckerath], he was born in Munich, but grew up in Hamburg, his family having relocated there shortly after his birth. He initially pursued an interest in mechanical engineering, but after encountering the quality of northern German pipe organs, particularly those of master builder [a=Arp Schnitger], his interests shifted. He trained as a cabinet maker at the art school in Hamburg, while studying the fundamentals of organ building on his own. In the cellar of his parents' home, he built a small house-organ, which was heard in a radio broadcast from the house and in concerts there.

Search Add 6 Exit Safe Mode Margus Löve Margus Löve has been a well known name to darktronica scientists over the years. The solo artist’s starting point after the change of millennium became the technoid end of drum&bass with the bubbling bass waves of speed garage and Löve’s style became substantially directed by dubstep that gained ground at the start of the 2000s. The name L-OW successfully propagated the bass-loving vibe at the prime time of dubstep, and in the background the dub-techno-esque parallel project 1DERL& got more and more off the ground. Founding of the label Processed in 2012 and the release of 1DERL&’s debut album became a spiritual turning point – the allure of the sounds of dubstep shifted to the background and darker soundscapes found a new home in cooler techno trances. Margus Löve has moved still deeper in the swamp of sounds with his new project Exit Safe Mode that is striving to cut through the safety nets and broaden the palette of sounds. The sounds are complemented by darker ambiences and rhythmic skeletons, while staying essentially loyal to the pulsating force of techno. It’s time to discover the shady territories beyond the untrodden tracks.

Search Add 6 The D-Gen's Between 2009 and 2010 the band sold 1100 total discs of their first 2 demo cds, selling them via Facebook, Myspace, and at basement and backyard shows across Long Island, NY. Kenny Jockel has run Infernal Trinity Records since 2006, after his collaborative work with AreaDeath Productions in 2006-2007 led to an internationally distributed CD from his friends Ritual Sacrifice that sold out of 1000 copies in 2 weeks. He wrote the 3-page bio, designed the booklet, wrote the liner notes, and supplied the band with the recordings since they had long lost all their demo material, all at age 16. This led to his formation of ITR and his motivation to run the ultimate DIY label free of outside influence and corruption, and providing his services to local true-metal bands 100% Free so they can get their music out there and make moderate-money without sacrifice any degree of creative control. The bands merchandise, 2 different patches made on fully-handbuilt silkscreen presses, 12" vinyl sleeves pro-printed and assembled by hand, t-shirts designed and silkscreened by the band, and the approx. 1100 demo cd's (200 with one of 4 different handdrawn covers done by each member) and 100 CD EP's (made on band-purchased surplus factory-standard blank discs so they are silver on the bottom) is always made by hand with emphasis on uniqueness, collect-ability and aesthetic value. The bands motto printed on the back of the T-Shirts and bottom of the official press-packs (always flanked by inverted crosses), was "D.I.Y. 'Till We Fuckin' Die! F.T.S. - SVS - S9S - Fuck the rest!!" They were praised by internationally renowned acts like Militia, Spectral Incursion, and members of Decimation for their young age and for crafting their own sound combining influences from D.R.I. to Terror to Burzum to Integrity. to Midnight, without sounding like any of the above but still making their influences clear. Mike Soliz of Militia said of their second Demo CD "this is the best crossover we've heard since 87-88, if you can make it to Texas we'll split a bill with you anytime!!" (all members of Militia wrote to the band to give input on their respective instruments).

He currently serves as mayor of Conchalí, Santiago de Chile. At the end of the 1990s he had a brief career as a singer, with modest figuration and two studio albums. His debut was specifically in 1999, with a homonymous album and produced by his own means, whose most prominent simple was "[r=20471638]", which obtained some diffusion on radios and also on television, with a low-budget video clip starring his sister, María José. René De La Vega was invited to some television stellar, where his tonic was to mock his style rather than promoting his artistic career. The second single from the same album was "Chica Colegiala". In 2002 he premiered a second album,"[r=13905667], which had two singles with animated video clips, but did not get the diffusion of the first. After this, De La Vega retired from music (somewhat depressed after realizing that the mass media was making fun of him), but over the years he became a popular cult character, and starred in sporadic performances at kitsch parties.

Harmony driven vocals, a tasty two guitar punch and *pedals* Morris Paul Lippens - vocals, guitar Josh Killom - guitar, vocals Jerry Hancock - bass Robin M. Grant - vocals Paul's Big Radio is led by singer and songwriter Paul Lippens, who is specialize in a kind of delightfully ragged alt-country-tinged roots rock that seldom drifts into genre clichés, thanks largely to Lippens' heartfelt and personal approach to the stories he tells. This is the kind of thing Gram Parsons had always dreamed of, a seamless mix of country, soul, and rock & roll that he termed "Cosmic American Music," and Paul's Big Radio music is exactly that. The traditional material is done with the ragged passion of the truly smitten and possessed, with lead singer Paul Lippens' vocals careening through mountain standards in a kind of spry, spirited hoedown that would make any mountain string band proud. Yeah, it sounds distantly like bluegrass, but it isn't, drawing its strength from an older and deeper well. Lead guitarist Josh Killom in particular really shines and points to how unpredictable and versatile PBR really are. This isn't a band content to stand in one place very long, and it will be interesting to see where they go next

Patterson Barrett moved to Austin shortly after appearing on Jerry Jeff Walker’s first release on MCA records, playing pedal steel, dobro, and guitar (including the song “L.A. Freeway”). Not long after arriving in Austin, he formed the band Partners In Crime, which included Buddy and Julie Miller, releasing one album on their own label, Criminal Records. In the years since, Patterson produced some of Hal Ketchum’s earliest demos, served in Al Kooper’s back-up band, and performed before 10,000 festival-goers as Chuck Berry’s pianist. He accompanied Nancy Griffith on Austin City Limits, legendary Austin singer Lou Ann Barton in music clubs around the country, and Buddy Miller on several records including his recent collaboration with Jim Lauderdale, Buddy & Jim. Patterson's discography includes three solo endeavors—I Must Be Dreaming (2007), "When I Was Your Age…" (2012), and the 2018 release, Give ‘Em What They Want. He cites Neil Young and country-rock pioneers Poco and the Flying Burrito Brothers as his early influences, as well as soul stalwarts such as Sam and Dave, The Temptations, and Marvin Gaye. His music has been compared to John Hiatt, The Band (whose song “Sleeping” he lovingly covers), and Ryan Adams.
