Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Nazarene Plague | American Brutal/Technical Death Metal band from Farmingdale, New York. Originally started as a solo-project of Mike Ray in 2008, later recruiting DarkFrost/Horns of Belial drummer Rob Donohue. The classic lineup formed in 2009 when Donohue moved from drums to lead vocals, and another Horns of Belial member Mike DeFilippi took over on drums. They recorded several demos, and played shows all around Long Island and New York City including shows with Cannibal Corpse, Carcinogen, and many more. One illegal backyard show directly adjacent to Farmingdale's Main Street with The D-Gen's led to the arrest of Rob Donohue. Disbanded in 2010 during the recording of the "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, recorded by and planned for release by Infernal Trinity Records, with artwork commissioned by Josh "Leech" Jacobson, the artist who drew The D-Gen's "Gods of the Godless" EP cover. Guitarist/songwriter Mike Ray is still musically active despite his battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lead singer Rob Donohue passed away in 2019. Infernal Trinity Records has released a set of 250 hand-numbered limited edition Rob Donahue Memorial cards with lyrics contributed by Thorns of the Carrion's Allen L. Scott II, the first 100 of which come with a reprint of the "Lullaby for the Aborted" promo flyers reproduced from the original 2010 files. Nazarene Plague had many other Donohue-Penned songs that never got recorded, including "Inflicting the Mortal Wound", "Devliver us to Evil", "Near Death Experience", The New Life" and "Humani Holocaustum". Unreleased: "Lullaby For The Aborted" EP, 2010. Recorded by Kenny Jockel for Infernal Trinity Records. 1. Murderer 2. Sacrificial Suicide 3. Rancid Feast 4. Lullaby for the Aborted 5. Immortality Through Homicide 6. Spectral Slaughter (Instrumental) 7. The Nazarene Plague Rehearsal Demo 2010 - Like the 2009 "Nazarene Plague" demo CD they've recorded this entire demo live in rehearsal multiple times. Also like the previous demo, ones that they found unsatisfactory were deleted. Two complete copies were kept but the band broke up before they could ever put them out as a demo CD, which they planned to do after Infernal Trinity Records released "Lullaby for the Aborted". The two versions can be told apart by the absence of a guitar solo on the first version of "Reduced to Ash". "37 86" is a 9 minute instrumental heavily influenced by the neoclassical guitar shred subgenre. 1. The American Pipe Dream 2. Reduced to Ash 3. 37 86 | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Pitt Linder | Wolfgang E. Linder | Swiss musician, recording engineer, radio-host, PA-builder etc. from Basel. Wolfgang E. (Pitt) Linder was born in Bern on 8 April 1924. Studied violin and clarinet at the Bern Music Conservatory, before discovering the tenor saxophone and American jazz which he helped introduce to Switzerland through orchestras and bands. He started out to play in some local Basel Jazz combos together with his brother Albert Linder in the early 50s. His first Rock & Roll record (Heartbreak Hotel b/w Minor Rock by Die Rock & Rollers) came out as a vinyl 45 back in ca. 1956/1957 on Tell Records. By 1957 he would become a recording artist for Grammoclub Ex Libris. From 1957 on until ca. into the early 1970's Big Pitt Linder would also be hosting his own weekly radio show on the national Swiss Basel Radio, where he would usually play some music by his own bands, mixed with lots of music by other bands. He used to record and a t times conducted hundreds of records for Ex Libris, and some other labels. Those records were usually recorded at Landgasthof Riehen (Basel), or at Radio DRS, Basel. His firm Linder Electronics, Basel, installed sound systems in discos, auditoriums and concert halls. The PA-system from the first Swiss Rolling Stones concert in Zürich was built by Pitt Linder. His undertaking used to be called "Linder Electronics" back then. Linder Electronics existed from the early 60s until around the mid '80s. Pitt Linder used to build the PA's for most of the local Basel Beat-bands from the 60s in order so that they could play in bigger venues. By the mid-60s virtually nobody would remember him as an old Jazz, and Rock & Roll musician anymore, but he built the PA system for the Montreux Jazz Festival. Later on towards the late 80s he moved to New Jersey, USA, to become a famous recording engineer (for mostly classical music) in New York City. He designed and installed the sound and light system for the Swiss Pavilion for the World Expo in Tsukuba Japan (1985). The last 14 years of his life were spent in Victoria BC Canada where he enjoyed hiking and the renowned classical and jazz community. He was a friend to the Victoria Conservatory of Music, who established a Pitt Linder Memorial Fund for young musicians after his death at the age of 94 on 1 December 2018. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Shiva The Destroyer | Shiva the Destroyer, an experimental pop band, formed in Ft. Worth, Denton, Waco, and Granbury, Texas in the early 1990s, is the brainchild of Tony Primavera. Rising from the recent ashes of The Codependents (who were to be the ‘next big thing’ before deciding that fame and general acceptance was a useless farce) who disbanded in 1991 or '92. Discoursing on rock is pretty gay, huh? Where is Lester Bangs when you need him? Oh right, he’s dead. Shiva the Destroyer became the live version of The Can't, an improvisational 4-track project of Tony Primavera. The original idea for the group was to be an ever-changing line-up of capable local musicians, each playing a temporary role. That never worked out, considering the superstar egos of many of the Texas “musicians”. Though, there have been around fifteen members of the group besides the three principles. The music, a sort of experimental pop, is inspired by Pussy Galore, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Velvet Underground and The Violent Femmes…although none of Shiva's music sounds like those bands. Primavera always refuses to play with bands that he doesn't like, even if they are popular and the money is good. Some bands Shiva have played with are Sebadoh, Tsunami, Trumans Water, Tiger Trap, Wayward Girl, The Fireworks, Blacktop, Record Player, Pitchblende, God Is My Co-Pilot, Mudhoney, et al. The original line-up consisted of Jacky Shepherd (former guitar player and co-founder of The Codependents along with Tony Primavera who Jacky had played with in various bands since high school in Granbury, Texas. Jacky was the best guitar player around, so Primavera tasked him with the drum duties, which would lead to many a fight between the two. Lyle Darrin was an old skinhead friend of Primavera, so Primavera got him to play guitar. Lyle Darrin is now known as Stanton Meadowdale and is quite a famous and brilliant singer-songwriter in his own right. The idea of using musicians uncomfortable outside their elements gave Primavera free reign to dictate the direction of the group. Later, the original three fell apart. Lyle got a cute young girlfriend who dictated his every move and so was fired on-stage in Austin, Texas; Jacky got a heroin habit (died in 2007, RIP). Primavera took on Bryan Schmitz to play drums, sing back-up vocals, and play the occasional Fender Rhodes organ. Schmitz' musicianship, wit, and humor were so incredible that no words needed be spoken between the two. A symbiotic and instinctual force took control (Radar Love?), so that every recording and every show was perfection. The duo toured the east coast in 1996, after recording some of the band's best songs in Denton, Texas. Tony Primavera wrote the songs and played bass-chords for a while, before turning, prematurely, to guitar (in a spur of the moment experiment opening for Tsunami (some of the nicest people ever) and Versus (self-important dickheads). The lastest Shiva show took place at L'argot in Denton, Texas, after Primavera had relocated to Boston, MA. They conceded to open for the popular metal-funk band Brutal Juice, a band with which they had always refused to play, even though they were friends and, bass player Sam McCall was twice their engineer. "I hated them. I hated their sound and I hated their popularity amongst the frat Neanderthals in that area. I considered them to be playing ignorant and vulgar "beer music," which Jacky liked much. " The money and the large audience was likely the deciding factor in accepting the gig. Now a duo, Bryan Schmitz and Tony Primavera proceeded to inject copious amounts of cocaine and then guzzle Jack Daniels in an attempt to lessen the effects of the coke. This lead to what fans called Shiva's best show ever, consisting of lyrics of mumbled insults to the crowd and about only doing the show for the money, and Primavera vomiting on the crowd several times. Although this was little new for the group. Shiva the Destroyer always took a provocative stance, taunting audience members, and insulting "important" people and other bands, as well as lying to the media and creating fake interviews with the motto "Subvert, Destroy!" Shiva the Destroyer, despite their many relocations, some living in foreign countries, and line-up changes, continues to record their own brand of experimental pop music (often referred to as "spooky pop music"), releasing material mostly on compilations, as well as playing the occasional show. A self-titled "greatest hits" CD (despite the bands distaste for the CD medium) was released in 2001. Several tracks on compilations, including the song "Roxbury Station," appeared on "A Taste of Lapin," released by Thomas Nola's (of Thomas Nöla et son Orchestre) Disques de Lapin in 2008, as well as the song, "Sunday with Jacky," in Denton) on the "Rabbits in Your Stocking," comp. released in 2009. | Search | Add | 6 | Bachelor Machines | Clint Hoagland | In late 2004, songwriter [a=Clint Hoagland] stumbled upon the Bachelor Machines, forgotten, in a basement in a remote part of Lansing, Michigan. Mr Hoagland blew the dust off their screens, connected them back up, and they sprung back into life. The Bachelor Machines - Bachelor #1 and Bachelor #2 - requested audio and visual information input in the form of 12" LPs, VHS tapes and DVDs, which their human assistant provides them. They take that raw input, process it using operations known only to themselves, and then they provide their assistant with audio messages. Drawing their name and their found-object aesthetic from Duchamp and their love of sonic juxtaposition from the Space Age Pop movement of 1960s (not to mention the cut-up artists of more recent years), Bachelor Machines destroy recognizable sounds and restructures them into a comforting sonic world where computers talk, robot waitresses serve ice-cold cocktails, and messages from the home office are sent via pneumatic tube. In 2010, the Bachelors stopped engaging humans in rational conversations using the humans' own sounds. They now aim to address humans' nervous systems directly. |
