Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Eric Nakanishi | Eric Nakanishi is an aspiring artist, saxophonist, and composer who was raised in Pleasant Hill, California. He began playing saxophone at age 9 in his local elementary school music program and quickly became interested in swing. Soon he began studying swing privately under the instruction of saxophonist and educator Marcus Goodlow, who would become the first of many important educators and mentors in Eric’s life. During his high school years, Eric was lucky enough to study with some of the Bay Area’s finest musicians and educators including Mary Fettig, Dann Zinn, Alex Murzyn, and Paul Contos. In addition, he was fortunate enough to participate in many outstanding music programs that supported and nurtured his love for music. These include Northgate High School’s instrumental music program, the SFJAZZ high school programs, and the California Jazz Conservatory (formerly known as the Jazzschool) Studio Bands. These programs undoubtedly inspired Eric to pursue music. This path eventually led Eric to his undergraduate studies at Berklee College of Music. During his time at Berklee, Eric had the opportunity to be mentored by a number of accomplished and renowned artists such as Frank Tiberi, George Garzone, Dave Santoro, Jim Odgren, and Tiger Okoshi to name a few. Eric was particularly blessed and honored to have had the opportunity to be instructed by Ralph Peterson, whose goal is to immerse his students in the music of Art Blakey and pass on the legacy of the Jazz Messengers. Eric was the lead alto player of Ralph’s “GenNext Big Band” and recorded two albums with the group, I Remember Bu: Alive Vol.4 at Scullers and Listen Up!, which featured Jazz Messenger alumni Donald Harrison and Frank Lacy. After leaving Berklee, Eric recorded his debut album, Introducing. Released in April 2020, this album features all original compositions brought to life by an incredible band made up of some of Eric’s colleagues from Berklee. Eric has moved from Boston and now resides in Tucson, AZ.

Search | Add | 6 | The Paper Bag Players | The Paper Bag Players under the direction of Judith Martin, is a small company of artists devoted to the development of original and creative theatre for children, bringing to the theatre an approach completely contemporary in tone and style. Their highly original work has gained them extensive recognition both here and abroad. They have evolved a revue form with short plays, song,s dances, stories tung together as a child might freely associate. In place of typical sets and costumes made with theatrical paints and fabrics the paper bag players use easily obtained everyday things, paper bags, cardboard boxes and household objects, with these simple, very familiar materials the paper bag players create a complete theatre fantasy.

Search | Add | 6 | GeroMetal | GeroMetaL | GeroMetal was a Serbian heavy metal band from Novi Sad.The band was formed by a former Griva member Josip Sabo (guitar) and a well-known comic book artist Bane Kerac (drums). The band started their activity in 1992, when Sabo and Kerac were joined by a former Albatorosi member Predrag "Peđa" Moldvaji (bass guitar). Initially, the band performed covers by Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Free, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and others, but with humorous Serbian language lyrics. These songs were released in 1993 on the album Der Rauch Am Wasser (German for "Smoke on the Water"). In 1996, the band was joined by vocalist Dušan Uvalić "Francuz", a former vocalist for the bands Annathema and Crash. This lineup recorded new songs, released during the same year on the album Cat Claw, named after the comic book superhero of the same name created by Kerac. In 1998, after a number of concerts across Vojvodina, Uvalić left GeroMetal to join the reformed Annathema, and two members of the band Kraj, Viktor Moldvaji (Predrag Moldvaji's son, guitar) and Nenad Petković (the bass guitarist in Kraj, on keyboards in GeroMetal), joined the band. Until the end of their career the band performed occasionally only, performing mostly in Novi Sad. In 2000, the band disbanded. |

He bought a Hanimex camera from Woolworths in his early teens and began to take photographs. Upon leaving school at the age of sixteen, Watson moved back to London and became a darkroom assistant at Camera Press. He continued to photograph his younger brother [a=Neville Watson] and their group of skinhead friends in High Wycombe. The ‘Wycombe Skins’ were part of the working-class skinhead subculture brought together by a love of ska music and fashion. Although skinhead style had become associated with the right-wing extremism of political groups like the National Front in the 1970s, Watson’s photographs document a time and place where the subculture was racially mixed and inclusive. His photographs were published in the books Skins (1994) and Skins and Punks (2008), and the director Shane Meadows cited them as an inspiration for his film This is England (2006). In 2011 and 2012 Watson photographed campaigns for Dr Martens and began a project with the singer Plan B.

They don’t pull political punches they try their damnedest to seek a deeper context or reference point in a quest for understanding.' hifi+ magazine If you like your stories unflinching, raw and tender, then this uncompromising, sensitive songsmith is ripe for discovery. At turns provocative, poignant and funny, Simon’s songs pour out of an informed social conscience and a chequered storybook of personal experience. Born in Dublin – the third of six children – to an Irish Catholic Family, Simon was brought to England in his first year and raised in the 1950’s and 60’s, the son of a Lancashire coal-miner. With several careers in fields as diverse as financial sales and dyslexia consultancy (“I had kids to feed”), Simon is now focused on his “tertiary career as a singer/songwriter/guitar player”. He says: “It’s what I’ve always most wanted to do – it’s time.”

His debut was specifically in 1999, with a homonymous album and produced by his own means, whose most prominent simple was "[r=20471638]", which obtained some diffusion on radios and also on television, with a low-budget video clip starring his sister, María José. René De La Vega was invited to some television stellar, where his tonic was to mock his style rather than promoting his artistic career. The second single from the same album was "Chica Colegiala". In 2002 he premiered a second album,"[r=13905667], which had two singles with animated video clips, but did not get the diffusion of the first. After this, De La Vega retired from music (somewhat depressed after realizing that the mass media was making fun of him), but over the years he became a popular cult character, and starred in sporadic performances at kitsch parties. |
