Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Vesperland | Vesper Land, is a musical project in which Mikael Cointepas sets to music poems of the nineteenth century era. Around the guitar and the voice, emerges a sound that can evoke the light of the great outdoors as the urban darkness. Vesper Land is also a field of sound experimentation, throughout meetings with musicians from various musical genres. In 2018 is planned the release of the next album devoted to the poems of William Butler Yeats. Recorded alone, this slowly developed piece is the harvest of a long solitary work. It highlights some of the author’s poems in the final part of his career, taking an uncompromising look at life. « What can be explained is not poetry » W. B. Yeats

Search | Add | 4 | Leagus | Leagus is a contemporary and experimental musical duo from Sápmi, Norway, whose music alternates between formal composed parts, open structures, and free improvisation, and ranges from subdued, minimalistic, psalm-like pieces, to more rock-oriented improvised parts. Consisting of pianist Herborg Rundberg and guitarist Kristian Svalestad Olstad, Leagus was originally formed in 2013 by Herborg, as part of her Masters degree in Rhythmic Music at the Tromsø Conservatory, where Kristian had also received his Masters degree in the same subject two years earlier. Over the years the duo have worked extensively on finding new, and different interactions between the piano and the guitar, which has lead to the development of a new and progressive kind of musical togetherness. It is a sound that is highly dynamic with musical contrasts playing a big part in their concept. In 2021, Leagus were commissioned by the North Norwegian Jazz Ensemble to write a piece for a ten-member orchestra. The result was “Flora Eallin” which was composed and arranged by Herborg and Kristian. This led to a tour with the North Norwegian Jazz Ensemble and long time collaborator and visual designer Torbjørn Thrane Sandnes.

Search | Add | 4 | Biastfear | BiastFear | Includes former members of Ohio metal band [a=Sacrifix (3)]. There are two definitive eras of the band's history, although three additional line-ups existed. The "metal" era of the band featured two pairs of male friends joining forces to combine their love of thrash, industrial and death metal. Influences included: Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Acid Bath, Nailbomb, Napalm Death and Machine Head. A demo, ("A Worthless Emotion"), and a full-length, ("The Ties That Bind"), were released. Some hints of the band's newer influences were apparent on the full-length release, but would come to fruition in the coming years. The band started to evolve and experiment with their sound, eventually losing the death and thrash influences in favor of groove and attitude. New influences included: Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Manhole L.A., Living Colour and Biohazard. One of the founding members didn't like the musical direction and was asked to leave the band. A new male vocalist was acquired but his time with the band was short-lived. He was replaced be a female vocalist and the second era of the band truly began. Retaining their down-tuned guitars from their heavier days, the band began to write music inspired by where heavy music was going to instead of where it had been. The band's second full-length was released on the verge of the dawn of what would become known shortly as "nu-metal", although in December of 2000 nobody really called it that yet, so the band and their fans made up their own genre definitions: some called it heavy-hop and some called it R&Bcore. Questionable experimentation with hip-hop aside, it resounded with fans in a big way and the band found themselves touring more often and playing to bigger crowds. Demos were made for a follow-up recording and shopped to labels, but the band found far too many people unsure of exactly how to market the band, even though they agreed the music was strong and the band's live performance was solid. The stagnation lead members to start to experiment with side-projects and other interests, and with no official farewell show, the band went on an indefinite hiatus and never reconvened. |

Search | Add | 4 | One Cent Left | After [a=99¢ Special] came to an end, [a=Exit (22)] began writing new music which was opposite of his previous writing in the industrial genre. Instead of programming music, he went analog and hands on with any instrument he could acquire. The resulting works have been building up in various states of completion, and span a period from about 2004 to current. With no genre targets, the music produced for One Cent Left varies greatly in style. At present, there are at least 3 albums worth of songs awaiting being completed, and new songs being written for a 4th album. Given that it's been over 15 years since writing and recording began, a collection of demos have been released simply to establish the works without further delay. "[r=13209054]" was released on February 11th, 2019 as an introduction to One Cent Left, showcasing the newest to oldest completed demos.

Search | Add | 4 | Leonardo Vela R. | Leonardo Vela Rodríguez | Peruvian guitarist and band leader born in Tabalozos, Lamas. When he was still a child he moved to Moyobamba where he then began to accompany with the tumbas or maracas a group called Los Electros, whose owner was César Jiménez and the members Pablo Vásquez (lead guitar) Manuel Linares (bass), Francisco Ruíz (tumbas), Resurrection Ruíz (drums) and Celín Vásquez (singer). Later Francisco Ruíz left Los Electros to form his group called Los Duendes with Juan García (bass), Resurrección Ruíz (timbales) and Leonardo Vela (lead guitar). At the end of 1973, the group Los Génesis was formed in Rioja under the direction of Pedro Rojas (second guitar) with Walter Paima (bass), Charlemagne Díaz (drums), Hernán Ortiz (tumbas) and Juan Díaz Salazar (vocals). Since they needed a first guitar and composer, they went to Moyobamba to incorporate Leonardo, who was replaced in Los Duendes by Crox Alvarado. In the mid-seventies they go to Lima to record their first full length for the label [l590237] but they can't record as Los Génesis because there was already another band with that name, so they changed to Siglo XX. After the group disbanded, Leonardo and Pedro Rojas moved to Moyobamba and incorporated musicians Alejandro Angulo (timbales), Alfonso Mori (bass), Víctor Villacorta (tumbas) and Walter Arévalo (voice). On this trip to Lima, the owner of the Volcán invites Leonardo to stay and work at the record company but the job in the record company does not satisfy him and so he returns to Moyobamba to join the Grupo Arco Iris by Javier Puerta with Jorge del Águila (bass), Alejandro Angulo (timbales), Víctor Villacorta (tumbas) , Ernesto Ríos (vocals) and Walter Arévalo (vocals). Towards the end of the 1970s Jorge Franco Prado contacted Leonardo to relaunch the Lima group Los Reales del Perú with musicians from Lima and Moyobamba: Alfonso Rojas (first and second guitar), Jorge del Águila (bass), Guillermo Alvarado (timpani) and Eduardo Vizconde (vocals). In 1980 Leonardo went alone to Lima and recorded two small albums with his own compositions for the label [l1799240]. For these productions he takes the name of Los Reales de Moyobamba, even if the truth is that he was the only one present and the label completed the group with local musicians. After this, Leonardo is encouraged to form his own group, for this he leaves Los Reales, where Alfonso Rojas permanently takes on the first guitar and the task of composing, Guillermo Alvarado leaves to form the Grupo Atlantic. In the early eighties Leonardo recorded his first opera as Sonido Verde de Moyobamba, the group incorporates Carlos Córdova (second guitar), Leoncio Vásquez (bass), Marcial Rojas (timbales) and Abner Carbajal (singer), the latter two from Los Rangers de Moyobamba. |

Search | Add | 4 | Faye Yates | Iona "Faye" Yates | Faye was born on December 28, 1946 in Leander, TX to Bob Hart and Emalee Maxey Hart. Faye was known as a singer, song writer and Christian evangelist. She had a deep passion for ministering to the broken hearted and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through her music ministry, and any other means the Lord presented her. She was full of spunk and funny too, yet very serious about her love for the Lord. She recorded six albums in Nashville that were full of music that presented important biblical truths. To Faye the focal part of a song was the message. For this reason, she would often write her own songs in order to proclaim a message that was very personal to her. Although she had the pleasure of working with many notable Christian speakers and ministries across the country, she thoroughly enjoyed every opportunity to sing the national anthem for the San Antonio Spurs, the San Antonio Missions and many other venues. She received a number of awards over the years for her singing and song writing and performed at numerous venues across the country, and several international venues as well. There were also a number of opportunities on various TV and radio programs. In her book, “Thank You for the Valley,” she tells a personal story of triumph when life’s journey took her where she didn’t want to go and is based on the experience of raising April, her Down’s syndrome daughter. Faye also authored and presented a Christian conference entitled “Hope Beyond Imagination”, where she spoke on how to maintain your hope and joy regardless of life’s circumstances. But, above all else, she was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Iona “Faye” Yates, a resident of New Braunfels, Texas, was relieved of her long struggle with Alzheimer’s when she passed away late Christmas night, December 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family, just 3 days before her 71st birthday. |

Search | Add | 4 | The New Golden Ring | An informal gathering of folk singing friends who simply enjoy singing and playing together, rather than an established group of specific individuals. The second set of recordings were recorded at a 5+ day marvelous musical marathon with many singers and guests staying at the home of Sandy and Caroline Paton, a remodeled barn in Sharon, Connecticut. Music was made together for a week or so and recorded. These were not exactly well-controlled recording situations. Microphones were set up, levels set and buttons were pushed before the engineer took up his pace in the chorus. There would often be experimenting with harmonies on a new song while scrubbing pots and pans during food breaks. Members reformed in somewhat smaller gatherings for further recordings: [a=Sharon Mountain Harmony]: [r=9316994] Twos On a Night Like This: A Christmas Legacy For All the Good People, A Golden Ring Reunion.
