Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Dr. Albert Flipout | Mickey Pantelous is a Danish-Greek (based in Greece at the moment) unconventional Blues-Rock / Avant-garde artist born in 1973. After breaking up his band [a=The Chess-mates] in 2007 Mickey decides to go solo due to communication problems with other people. In order not to get too lonely Mickey creates a fictional character “Dr. Albert Flipout” (the tin-can Latin shaker attached to his left foot that works as a snare drum in his one man band project) and names the band after him, “Dr. Albert Flipout’s one CAN* band” . The third "member" of the band is the mysterious Jess on the cymbals. You can see a picture of them all on the back of the album's cover. * CAN: a) A Can, is a metal container in which something such as food, drink, or paint is put. b) You use CAN to indicate that someone has the ability or opportunity to do something.

Search | Add | 4 | Rodney O'Quinn | He is best known as the bassist for Foghat. At 5 years old, grabbing mom’s vacuum cleaner like a mic stand singing “Hound Dog” by Elvis, Rodney O’Quinn was smitten and bitten by the music bug at an early age. By the time he was 11, a request from a friend simply saying “We need a Bass Player. You should get one!” would lead him to the first of many stages he would perform on. Straight out of High School, Rodney attained his higher education in Rock & Roll playing full time from 1984-1996 with various notable Bands out of the South East U.S. This included a 5-year stint with one of the South East’s top touring/grossing bands, ELI which generated 2 well received albums. Averaging 240 shows a year left Rodney feeling burned out and ready for a change. He was leaving life on the road behind (or so he thought). In 2007 (Rodney describes it as an “itch that needed to be scratched”) music beckoned once again and he was compelled to answer. Rodney joined Pat Travers Band for what he thought would be a year or two on the road. Over the next eight and half years with the Pat Travers Band, Rodney played over 500 shows across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Europe and Sweden and recorded 2 studio CD’s and 2 Live CD/DVD’s with the band. They also performed Live on the syndicated show RockLine Radio 3 times as well as a concert, “Live from Moondance Jam” which aired over 100 times on Direct TV. More than just a beast on the bass and a pretty face, Rodney used his business savvy background to handle many facets of the PTB organization. In 2010, he co-produced a run of shows that featured Pat Travers, Derek St Holmes, Mark Farner and Ronnie Montrose called Guitar Gods of the 70’s. Along with other members of Pat’s band, Rodney would play bass behind all of these Artists. During these extensive tours, as fate would have it, Rodney crossed paths many times with his friend and fellow bass player, Craig MacGregor of Foghat. After watching Rodney play, Craig Macgregor admired Rodney’s talent and when the time was right, was called upon in 2015 to fill in for “Mac” and has since become a permanent part of the Foghat Family. Two years, 2 Foghat CD releases and 140+ shows (and counting) Rodney is honored to be able to add his touch to this piece of Foghat history.

The song was later included in the first Hell n Heaven Album produced by Nelly records. From 2004 to 2006 the band performed as a trio with Emanuele Lupidi on bass and Simone Bravi on drums. Later that year joined the band Sara Bravi and the band realised the second EP Again produced by Nelly Records. From 2007 to 2014 the band line up included Maurizio Gaggioli on drums, Daniele Pignatiello on bass and Alessandro Lamoratta on lead guitar, Emanuele was the main guitarist, the singer and the composer. In 2015 Michel Borgognoni on drums and the singer Martina Fasanari joined the band. Search | Add | 4 | N∆EON TE∆RDROPS | Per Martinsen | NAEON TEARDROPS is a new artist alias from Norwegian techno and electronica veteran Per Martinsen, mostly known under his techno and elecronic guise MENTAL OVERDRIVE. Stepping out of his familiar instrumental electronic productions and into vocal-based songwriting, N∆EON TE∆RDROPS explore influences of the synthpop and darkwave of his formative years, while aiming to put these influences into a more contemporary context. The debut album TESTIMONY was released in September 2023, and contained 10 tracks flirting with alternative electropop, echoes of eighties darkwave, breakbeat-fuelled nineties power-ballads and noughties electronica – all brought to life with a 2023 twist. The music of NAEON TEARDROPS was born out of the storytelling project PYRAMIDS ON THE MOON – a fictional autobiography in three parts where he explores three alternative timelines of his own life, and where each of his three imagined personalities create music under different artist aliases. PYRAMIDS ON THE MOON is still an ongoing project, where the most recent texts are exclusive to those supporting the project on Patreon. |

Search | Add | 4 | Hans Peter Neergård | Hans Peter Neergård (born 1957) grew up in Vatne, a small village on the west coast of Norway. His parents were very active in music, and they were always singing and playing in the house. Hans Peter started playing the piano as soon as he was tall enough to reach the keys, and made his own small melodies from an early age. He often tried to recreate the music he heard on radio, but also received classical piano training. He learned the foundational piano technique these years, but never enjoyed playing by scores. It was more fun to play freely, to play what you heard, or learn the music by ear. Hans Peter also picked up the saxophone, first through the local marching band, but later at several jazz seminars at Molde, a small city known for its jazz festivals. He soon understood that reading scores was important even in jazz music, it helped the musicians communicate. One of the first songs Hans Peter put down on paper was from this period: «Kaktus» from ’78. Later Hans Peter Neergård composed more music and wrote more scores. His compositions are often related to jazz, both rhythmically and harmonically, but can also be traced back to Nordic folk music. He composed for piano, saxophone quartet and orchestras, and many of the songs were performed by local bands and musicians. Six of the songs on this LP were released in the score book «My rhythmic piano», self-released by Hans Peter in 1997. In addition to releasing written scores, Neergård often dreamt about putting some of his music on a record to allow more people to hear it. He’s had his music scores on the shelves for years, but in January 2022 he gathered the courage to record 12 of his own songs in the local studio on a Steinway grand piano. Hans Peter Neergård is the father of [a3317509] and [a9449920].
