Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Hairbone Hairbone is an American experimental performance art trio from New York, formerly known as [a=Haribo]. The band gained prominence for unique live performances, with massive oversized props often getting destroyed in furious shows. Critics compared them with art collectives, like [a=Destroy All Monsters] or [a=Die Tödliche Doris], and experimental rock bands, from [a=Butthole Surfers] to [a=Sun City Girls]. In 2018, Hairbone presented its debut full-length studio album, [r=12573650] LP, released by [l=Blank Forms Editions].

Search Add 2 Guten Tag Czech alternative rock band. Guten Tag from Northern Bohemia became a club and cult legend at its time, and their only CD Maso (Flesh) is the time capsule of the era. Guten Tag clearly sprung from the best traditions of the Czech underground and (then) young musicians added unusual dose of flair and energy. Certain music journalist described the band as darker and more off-beat [a=Už jsme doma] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. We would describe them more as a crossover of [a=Dog Eat Dog] with original [a=Garáž] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. However, I just realized - where were Dog Eat Dog when Guten Tag were already blasting the music from the stage? Since the shows were a real musical assault, the CD was titled Maso (Flesh) with a subtitle “hudba/music” to eliminate any possibility that some dorks could confuse it with a product of meat industry. The cover was designed by now also legendary [a=Luboš Drtina]. Leader of the band [a=Petr Mikolášek] later performed under the name [a=Significant Brother], then also in project [a=Significant Other].

Chuck and Mae retired in 1990 and their son Bill took over the operation until the facility closed in 2003. Search Add 2 Aalborg Musikkontor Aalborg Musikkontor (sometimes with musikernes egen booking appended to the name) was a Danish musician-driven booking and management agency located in Aalborg and operating under this name from 1979 to approx. 1991. Aalborg Musikkontor also acted as a concert and event organizer, e.g. "Sommerrock '83" at Skovdalen, and was co-organizer of the "Open Air" concerts in Mølleparken. Aalborg Musikkontor was to be owned and function broadly like the corresponding agencies in Copenhagen and Aarhus. Search Add 2 Thomas Ueber Thomas Ueber Thomas was born in Germany where he lives and works. Music has been with him all his life. He recorded radio broadcasts in childhood and later there were various DJ appearances, mainly at private events of friends or colleagues. Later then, all this turned into a serious interest for computer music production. First contact in Propellerhead Reason demo and in Ableton Live 8 Suite but today the center of every of each of his productions is Steinberg Cubase Pro and sometimes Bitwig. Digital as well as analogue components provide the drive in the home studio. With a little focus more in the digital area he makes use of modular softsynths or a Reaktor ensemple as well as an emulation of a Roland synth, drum samples and orchestral Kontakt instruments. All shouldn´t be missing there. His genre is electronic music. The style ranges from acid to idm, electro and techno or deep house with a touch of Balearic vibes. However, the musical influences come from all directions from blues, rock, country or sometimes jazzy and pop.

From the Friimen, and with the encouragement of Beni Tudumey, Arthur Freds joined hands with his new friends and formed Sweet Unit Rock Group of Aba in those early seventies, he was the keyboardist of Sweet Unit.Rock Group. He played keyboards for several other groups such as Vibrations, Voice of the Cross, etc. He went on national tours with groups such as The Apostles, The Wings, Sweet Breeze, etc. He had a close involvement with the Genesis, especially when Uncle Sam was keyboardist of Genesis.
