Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Deep Groove Soul | Erick Prudencio | One of the things that keeps this dude much hypnotized is overnight and those sounds that surround it. This has been one of the metaphors a bit strange since its beginnings in the world of music, since their backgrounds have been identified with the electronic music at an early age. It was so Erick gave life to one of their projects with the purpose of bringing more than dancing, something phenomenal that makes vibrate the feelings of the people. At 18 years of age he began to produce with different styles of music influenced by Techno and House music, bringing a constant practice that would lead him to do more things than he could have it thought. It was at this time, when it began with a second new project (since having a first draft in progress), and due to the influences of Soul, Funk, Disco music, as well as the music of the 80s and 90s was created in what has been called Deep Groove Soul. |

About 20 copies remained. This and the fact that already hyped acts R.E.K. and Dieter Kolb are behind this project makes it one of the most desirable minimal synth collector items. No artists mentioned on cover - this was clarified by luck!

Search | Add | 3 | Sheldon Pickering | Sheldon Pickering is a composer/performer who strives to convey peace, joy, and inspiration though the music he creates and shares. He was asked by a studio engineer what he was going to be doing on a project and why. His answer was, "I don't know." At this point, Sheldon realized he had separated his art from any particular agenda and that he does it simply because he loves to do it. Music brings him immense joy and peace and if he can share those feelings with those fortunate to hear his music then it "adds to the fun." Sheldon resides in New Mexico with his lovely wife and four beautiful children. He considers himself extremely blessed to have been able to return the priceless gift of adoption to two of his children. When he isn't working or performing he can be found traveling, riding bikes, and exploring the immense every day joys of this life with his family.

Search | Add | 3 | Wiener Blue(s) | The Wiener Blue(s) deals with the meaning and processing of old and new Viennese songs and their historical background. Wiener Blue(s) shines with its inimitable, unique musical style, whether it be frivolous stories from the 1500-year-old Austrian fairytale country, cheerful anecdotes from the world of civil servants or the only authorized group to be able to set “Josef Weinheber”. Wiener Blue(s) interprets old Viennese songs (up to 250 years old) as well as contemporary Viennese songs, original compositions or mega hits by Austropop. No wonder, since there are two founding members of the legendary [a86413]: [a565213] and [a565212]. Eik with vocals, parodies and stories, Nino with violin, acoustic guitar and bass. [a746588] (percussion / guitar / bass) composed hits like "Hexen" (1st place in the Austrian hit parade) or "Ikarus", a hit by the Austropop icon [a280917]. [a1042694] (accordion / piano / vocals) founded the band "THE SOUL FAMILY" with his then wife [a446832] and [a446831] in 1994. A year later he started the acapella with Klaus Kofler, Wilfried and Eik Breit - a comedy project [a2148303], to which Nino Holm later joined. And last but not least there is singer Peter Steinbach. He claims "not to be a singer, just to perform songs". Well, maybe he doesn't have a “trained opera voice”, which would not fit at all, but he does a wonderful lecture and is sensitive to the lyrics with voice and facial expressions. With a lot of humor and Viennese charm, he also tells one or two interesting stories about the origin and meaning of the songs. Wiener Blue(s) has up to max. 60 appearances every year and never in front of empty houses. No more appearances will be undertaken - because "otherwise it will degenerate into stress and quality will suffer" - so says the tenor of Wiener Blue(s).

People would give him quarters to hear him sing. It was at this age that he realised that singing would be his life's career. At the age of 13, he accepted the Lord and joined the church. He was educated in the public schools of Houston, where he was raised. He joined the glee club at Bruce Elementary School and went on to receive many musical awards during his school years. He attended Texas Southern University, where he majored in music. He previously worked with the [a293666], [a34552], and Vernon Young and the Touchtones of Columbia. Vernon joined [a2841995] in the early 1990's, where he performed as one of the leading vocalists. |

Later under the auspices of Japan Polydor where he was a recording artist, he went to Berlin and graduated from State Berlin Music Conservatory. During 1932 to 1936 he recorded many Japanese songs on 78 rpm which became very popular in Japan as well as performing in the first opera by Kousaku Yamada.

Search | Add | 3 | Pitshu | Alberto Matondo Manzambi | Alberto Matondo Manzambi a.k.a. Pitshu migrated to São Paulo, Brazil from Luanda, Angola in 2005 at the age of 20. With him he brought a unique voice for a kind of music unknown to him at the time. His musical occupation back home was singing Kuduro, a genre of popular dance born in Angola at the end of the '80s that continues to evolve today. Still getting accustomed to the third-largest city in the world, he befriended Jimmy The Dancer, a well-known personality in the Centre. Jimmy introduced him to the Dubversão Sound System, led by DJ Fabinho Yellow P since 2001. Dubversão had a regular Friday party downtown, playing roots reggae and dub selections rarely heard in the city at that time. In 2006, Pitshu brought his unique voice to the party - not versed in Jamaican music, his sense of melody, phrasing and cadence was a fresh, new juxtaposition upon the heavier tempo of Jamaican reggae and the psychedelic sounds of dub version. The combination worked famously and Pitshubecame the official MC for the party. This association also resulted in his first CD, "Basoda", produced and released by Dubversão in 2008. Victor Rice was another regular at the party since 2002, discovering it soon after relocating to São Paulo from NYC. Already an 'honorary member' by 2007, Rice brought his Strikkly Vikkly Dubsystem to the party for a special performance. Pitshu improvised deftly over one of the tracks, a King Django rhythm called "Nex Season", while the camera was recording. Rice noted the melody and invited Pitshu over to Studio Copan to develop and record the idea. This would become the first of many collaborations (and the opening track to the sophomore record). Pitshu would arrive at the studio nine more times over the course of two years, and in 2009 Dubversão's Yellow P and Mau would join Rice at the mix sessions. This, Pitshu's second full-length record, has already yielded a 7" single, "Jah Kona" b/w "Major Vikkly"[TRT-001], an instrumental version by Cedric I.M. Brooks(Tenor Sax) and Kevin Batchelor(Trumpet). Pitshu and Rice drew on a variety of source material for these recordings. Some of the backing tracks were created on the spot using real drum tracks from other songs, or a combination of loops and samples. The bass was always played by Rice, though sometimes written by Pitshu. Other rhythm tracks were entirely pre-existing productions that inspired the singer to find a melody. Pitshu jumps freely between languages - Lingala, Portuguese, French, and on occasion Kikongo, English and Swahili. It would take a very particular ear to to discern each and every word of his performances. Pitshu assures the listener that all lyrics are of a basic, positive nature: Giving thanks to the Creator, treating children well, respecting one another. An interesting exception is "Pastore", where he calls attention to those members of the clergy that would abuse their position in society for pleasure and personal gain. Pitshu can still be readily found singing at the parties in the centre of São Paulo - His old collaboration w/ Strikkly Vikkly sometimes comes to the stage, and he has started working with a live band, Massahara, as well. credits released Octo |

Search | Add | 3 | White Stain | Band White Stain from Ljubljana, Slovenia could widely be described as a melodic punkrock band but a more accurate interpretation would be a band with a unique sound that tries to pull influences from a variety of different punkrock genres. Combining hardcore rhythm parts with melodic vocal and guitar lines and some disharmonic riffs creates a firm base for tough lyrics, calling for a more self conscious and self critical society. DIY ethics and cooperation with foreign and local bands has made it possible for White Stain to play with lots of bands and do more 100 concerts (over Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, France, Belgium, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia and Romania) in a period of less than 4 years. After re-forming the band in 2012 White Stain continue its way as trio. Band has released their first full length album titled Attached on 29th of November this year through Nickname Records, No Panic! Records (D), Giljotina (SI) and Lost State Records (USA).

At the end of 2015, David Jackman launched his flagship solo project under the alias “David Ben Jack”, releasing his debut single “No Love (ft. Teri Tobin)” via The EDM Network. The single–a soulful and poppy, yet eccentric take on chilled deep house and nu-disco–features rising neo-soul singer Teri Tobin on vocals, and a remix from UK production duo Armstrong & Statye (of UB40 production fame). A week later, the track charted on JunoDownload.com as the #12 best-selling release in the funky house/club category, before getting airplay on BBC radio, and garnering support from influential DJs. Soon after, David Ben Jack was approached to produce several official remixes for legendary jazz musician Mac Gollehon’s (David Bowie, Duran Duran, Grace Jones) newest project, which was released on his LP via Tomas Doncker’s NYC-based True Groove label. The album (which contained 2 of his remixes) charted for five consecutive weeks on both the CMJ Top 40 Jazz Charts (#19) and Top 40 World Charts, and has been featured on Huffington Post, All About Jazz, and Paste Magazine, being heralded as a unique fusion of latin jazz and EDM. David Ben Jack was then commissioned to produce more remixes for the label, as well a remixes for fusion super group Gideon King and The City Blog, comprised of Island Records recording artist Marc Broussard, James Genus (Daft Punk, Herbie Hancock), Donny McCaslin (David Bowie), and other seasoned musicians. |

Search | Add | 3 | Big 7 | Jimmie L. Cameron Jr. | Big 7 Jimmie L. Cameron Jr. aka " Big 7" is a Mississippi native born Feb. 11, 1972. By his father's influence, he is no stranger to music. At an early age, he discovered his gift for songwriting and creation. He has a true love for music and loves to entertain. Big 7 formerly known as Ariole Jai, started with many local hip hop & rap groups such as N-Syte. Big 7 constantly had to deal with peer pressure and the streets and making the right decisions. Seeing himself caught up in the streets, he's seen close friends deal drugs, imprisoned and many of them killed as the result of crime. Quote: "Bein' a playa N that game U gotta get out cuz eventually U get played."Crime can happen anywhere, even in Iowa. When it comes to describing "7's" style he is hard to categorize because he has performed with Hip Hop, R & B & even Christian artists. "7" is an artist who can rhyme about life and love one minute and then take you to church the next. The Big 7 sound is best described as "Thick Rhythms, Reality based lyrics with a Hip Hop / R&B flavor. Big 7 has performed locally for ministry meetings and youth groups. He has also performed through out the Midwest in places as Keokuk IA, Mt. Pleasant IA, Des Moines IA, Altoona IA, Waterloo IA, Beloit WI, Janesville WI, Edgerton WI, Menominee WI, Indianapolis IN, St. Louis MO, Springfield MO, Minneapolis MN, Red Wing MN, Anoka MN, etc... |

Search | Add | 3 | Brishen | Canadian gypsy-jazz band. The Brishen line-up includes lead guitarist and leader Quinn Bachand with Richard Moody, a veteran of the Canadian folk music scene, on violin and viola, Reuben Wier on rhythm guitar and vocals and Joey Smith on upright bass. A lover of collaborative work, Quinn Bachand enjoys switching up the line up to keep it fluid, dynamic and exciting. Brishen may at times feature such artists as Connor Stewart on clarinet and saxophone, Tim Croft or Max Ridley on upright bass, Aaron Watson on rhythm guitar and accordion and soulful vocalists Maureen Washington or Emily Braden. Quinn Bachand's Brishen is much more than a Django-esque cover band. Brishen recreates the magic of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and the Hot Club de France and in the process brings gypsy jazz into the 21st century and to a whole new generation of discerning music lovers.
