Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Sud X.T. | SUD X.T.’s first incarnation was formed in 1980 in Palermo with founding members Vortex, Aldo Ammirata, and Maurizio Adrizzone. SUD X.T.’s early sound reflected the heavy influence of French drum machine-punk pioneers Metal Urbain, as they fused the rock’n’roll rhythm of their drum machine with a pulsating bass and double guitar attack, rounded out by the group’s nihilistic/futuristic lyrics. In 1985, after the band took a few years hiatus, Vortex restarted SUD X.T. with all new right-wing politics, all new members, and a more straight-forward, oi!-influenced sound that reflected his idealistic jump to ultra-nationalism. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Julio César Jurado | In the decade of the 80, the Latin rock marked the beginning of a musical current that to the date maintains with great success, although at the moment it fuses with other sorts. At that time all Latin America and Spain were in fashion the songs of bands like Soda Stereo, Mecano, Enanitos Verdes, among others. And in Ecuador, the Guayaquil group 'Clip' revolutionized the national scene with a musical proposal that lived up to these consecrated groups. The lyrics and rhythms combined perfectly in each of the songs that 'Clip' put on the radios and on the country stages. These were not only successful in Ecuador since they also positioned themselves in the first places in some countries of the continent as 'Little by little', 'Just a fool', 'Emotional laxative', 'Mosquito anopheles', 'You are here' 'It does not cost anything to dream', among others, that made the renowned musicians who are now, although 'Clip. 'and finished his musical stage. However, 'Ñañón', as Julio César Jurado calls it, never completely moved away from music and combined his career as an architect with that of music producer and communicator. One of the biggest successes that Jurado has had as a producer was to organize an intercollegial competition (1998) in which several soloists and bands from the emblematic schools of Guayaquil participated. In that contest was winner now the recognized singer Daniel Betancourth. 'Ñañón' Jurado will repeat his experience as a scout to discover and train new singers or national bands with the purpose of positioning them in the international market. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | So Is The Tongue | “The epic orchestrations of this progressive three piece from central New Jersey range from swirling psychedelia to fits of heavy doom laden cacophony.” – Water Street Lounge So is the Tongue is a progressive/experimental 3 piece from central New Jersey formed in the fall of 2005 by [a3445781] (guitar/vocals) and [a4169054] (drums). Since winter of 2006 So is the Tongue have been playing clubs, bars, basements and other DIY spaces in tri-state area with such bands as Kayo Dot (with whom guitarist/vocalist Ron Varod is a part time member), Cleric, Behold…The Arctopus, Unearthly Trance, East of the Wall, Dysrhythmia, Bloody Panda, A Fucking Elephant, and the Jerry Only fronted “Misfits” to name a few. So is the Tongue recorded their debut album Torpid & Blight over the course of a year on the top floor of a jersey shore mansion with good friend, and honorary 4th member, (Asian) Steve Ryan. The album was released in 2007 digitally and as a small CD-R pressing before it’s official release on Sound Devastation Records in 2009. In January 2011 So is the Tongue ventured into the studio with Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice) to record their follow up, a Child of Divorce. This record pushes the band in new exciting directions, and will be released in January 2012 digitally and in limited edition of 12″ vinyl. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Jacky 0 | Giacomo Cella | Giacomo Cella has been writing letters to an imaginary pen-pal named Zero since he was a kid. In these letters, he carefully inspects and explores the tiniest details of his own inner labyrinths, from the more joyful and uplifting allies all the way to the darkest corners. This is how Giacomo— who in his day to day life goes by the name of ‘Jacky’ — on top of working as a composer and sound designer for advertising, fashion, films and other audiovisual projects came up, in 2010, with the name Jacky 0 (zero) for his personal artistic production. By linking these two strands of his personality together, "Jacky 0” was born as the ongoing correspondence between “Jacky” and “Zero”; and every sound, word, album, collaboration or live performance must be read as part of this endless dialogue which is, at last, a constant process of self-discovery from Jacky to Zero and back. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Metrallo | Metrallo | Metrallo has it´s roots in early 2010 as a Cristian Montoya (Lead guitar/vocals) idea, an an attempt to create an 80’s influenced thrash metal band. The idea began in 2009 when he composed 2 of the songs that the band now plays in every single performance. In 2010 Cristian Quintero shares his band idea with Cristian Salazar (guitar/chorus) who accepted to take part of the project, and a few months later while in a night of drinking, they named the band “METRALLO”. Metrallo is the slang used to allude to the band’s home town (Medellín) adopted by locals in the early 1980s due to the violence partaking in the city since then. The name stands for “Medallo” (city’s original appellation) and “Metralleta” (machinegun). While searching for the remaining members of the band they called up Duber Lopez (Drums 2010 – 2013) an acquaintance of the band that was just starting to play drums and aided to the process of forming the first lineup of the band with two guitars, the drum set; and vocals and chorus from Cristian Quintero and Cristian Salazar respectively. Mid 2010 they convince an old friend of joining the band; Felipe Rivas (Bass 2010 – 2013) having minor knowledge with the guitar, he decides to join the band as a bass player. After two years of rehearsal and arrangements they started to work on their first production in early 2013. The idea was taking shape since their first composition “Alcoholemia” song that named their first EP released in March 2013. This production consist of 5 demolishing songs made with a lot of effort and work and was completely self-produced with the savings of each band member who gathered a fee every week before rehearsing. They printed 300 records, the band’s biggest achievement at the time. Unfortunately a few months later, Felipe Rivas decides to leave the band due to personal and professional reasons, but kept a close relation with the band members. Metrallo’s lack of bass player was short since Cristian Salazar invited to join an acquaintance that liked the band and had some experience with the bass. Cristian Velasquez (bass 2013 – current) takes up on the opportunity and joins the band as the new bass player, bringing new ideas and even more union to the band. Days later Duber Lopez decides to leave too. Fortunately another friend of the band who had played in early projects with Cristian Quintero was available and very excited with the idea of playing in the band, thus, Wilo Montoya (Drums 2013 – current) join ranks in Metrallo making it more than a band a family. In late 2013 the band is contacted by 2 Greek labels interested in producing a vinyl (LP) and a CD with songs from the EP. They wanted a new design and 3 more songs to complete the recording, so the band with now two new members and little time had to work in composing and recording the new songs. This presented a huge challenge for the band, but after a lot of commitment they finished recording and the new design in April 2014. The vinyl will be named “Kill the Witch” in recognition to the band most liked song from their first EP and it is expected to be released late 2014 arriving on a near date to our country from Europe. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Cde. Chinx Chingaira | Dick Chingaira | Chinx is a short name for Chingaira. He was born in Rusape on September 27, 1955. He was married to Catherine Mazuru who died in 1996. Chingaira attended Chigora Primary School in the Makoni District of Rusape. His interest in music began when his primary school headmaster, Martin Dhlamini, encouraged him to sing and to join the school choir. On completion of secondary school, Chingaira got a place to study medicine overseas but he failed to acquire travel documents and the whole plan failed to materialise. Then in 1974 he worked at an engineering plant in Msasa, in Harare. At the end of 1975, Chinx joined the Second Chimurenga war in Mozambique. As much as he was a fighter his love for music made him a full-time organiser of theZimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front(ZANU-PF) People’s Choir. The choir that was formed was called Takawira in honour of the late nationalistLeopold Takawira. Takawira Choir became just but one of many other choirs which boosted freedom fighters’ morale during the war. Chinx had joined the guerrillas with the sole aim of liberating Zimbabwe but found himself being the leader of the Takawira choir which in no time changed its name to the Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army (ZANLA) Choir, which acted as a morale booster for the fighting cadres when Comrade Mhere Yaraira who led the group was transferred. Chinx's musical skills were later realised at independence in 1980 when he returned to Zimbabwe. He soon teamed up with Bennie Miller and Keith Farquharson to record his early chimurenga hits “Ngorimba”, “Zvikomborero” and “Nerudo”. The band soon developed to include Don Gumbo of Ilanga and more hits were recorded between 1982 and 1987. Chinx pursued a multitude of career options. Shortly after leaving Ilanga he pursued a solo career. He has also acted in films (1996’s Flame), as well as writing the score for the 1989 South African documentary Limpopo Line. After a short stint with Ilanga he moved on to team up with Mazana Movement Bandand then later with Mazana Black Spirits. His hit song entitled "Vanhu Vose VemuAfrica" translated "People of Africa" captures the essence of humanity and unity in the face of injustice and unfairness. His most outstanding hit, “Roger Confirm”, stayed on the then Radio 3’s Hitpick charts for 25 weeks in 1989 and early 1990. | Search | Add | 3 | Ida Andersson Band | IAB | IAB started out in 2013 as a one night band celebrating the women of the blues. But they loved playing together so they continued throughout 2013. Original songs started to emerge and the funky bluesy kind of "IAB Sound" started to take shape. 2016 saw the release of their first album "Funk 'n' Blues”. Recorded in Fårösund, by David Stiby. In 2018 they released "IAB TVÅ” recorded in Capstan Studios, Stockholm again with David Stiby. The album featured guest appearances from blues celebs Lisa Lystam and Ida Bang. The 25th of May gig at Joda in Visby was recorded for a live album. The album was recorded by Fredrik Larsson and mixed summer 2019 by Martin "Konie" Ehrencrona (of Viagra Boys fame) and released August 20th (streaming only). In spring/summer of 2020 writing sessions for ”Fyra” started. The album was – as with all previous releases – recorded live. All basic instrumental tracks on the 17th of October 2020. And a few retakes the 18th. The vocal tracks on a session a few weeks later. The album was recorded and mixed in Studio Massarve by Peter Otberg and mastered by Linus Larsson. Fyra was released in April 2021 as streaming only. Finally in January 2023 a vinyl LP version was released. Form the original 2013 line-up singer Ida Andersson Jupiter, drummer Johan Larsson, bass player Edvin ”Räkan” Holm and guitarist Christopher-Robin ”Garbo” Maurin are still with the band. In 2016 they were joined by singer and Rhodes player Linn Klintberg. (Text from Spotify.) |

| Search | Add | 3 | Sandy Asirvatham | Baltimore, Maryland American pianist and writer Sandy Asirvatham—known artistically as Sandhya—is a writer, musician, and producer living in Baltimore, although forever a New Yorker at heart. Via obsessive study and practice, she willed herself into the role of working jazz pianist and singer. She produced a collection of originals called MEMOIR (2007)—mini-fictions set to eclectic jazz-pop grooves. Later she brought a quirky, ambitious personal dream to fruition: MOBTOWN MOON, a genre-defying, fully reimagined homage to Pink Floyd’s THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, co-produced by singer-songwriter Ellen Cherry and featuring over 50 Baltimore-based musicians in a crazy blend of styles. Sandy (as then called) began working closely with renowned vocal instructor and producer Pete Strobl in 2018, and completing INNOCENT MONSTER, 10 new original songs that map out a journey from contemplative jazz-influenced singer-songwriter to full-on art-rock diva. Sandhya will beginning releasing new singles from the project in late 2020, with the full album due out in spring 2021. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Traetormentas | In 2007, more precisely in the month of June, several experienced musicians from the Greater Buenos Aires (Monte Grande / Luis Guillon) joined forces to form the group named Traetormentas. Since then, they started to play their compositions alive, some of which would later were form part of their first demo. This one was record in the month of January of the following year (2008). With this card of presentation, the band started to become a name that appeared on several compilations and fanzines of its musical style. After several concerts, they arrived at 2009, when they released their second independent production, which named “Tormenta de Fuego “. The recording had 7 new compositions and the first demo as a bonus track. As they went through some lineup changes, they presented “Tormenta de Fuego” and even reached Elortondo city in the province of Santa Fe. In 2010 recording sessions began what would eventually was their first full length fully official. This one was called “Jaque Mate” and was published in 2011. Numerous shows throughout the length and breadth of the Argentine territory happened, especially in self-managed way. During this time they began to compose new songs and, in 2013, they entered in studio to craft their second album “Umbral” which has released again through Pulmonar Recordables early 2014. Again they support the whole issue with countless live performances. In these presentations the video clip of “Persiguiendo La Vida” was recorded. The countless shows continued and in 2019 a new LP comes to light with new own compositions with the name of “Memorias de Luz y Sombra”. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Peev | Pierre Serafini | As PEEV, Pierre Serafini has been a name with many faces over the past 20 years. He’s a musician, a curator, a DJ and above all, a consummate music lover. Over the past few years, Pierre stepped away from the limelight, to replenish himself. This aloowed him to freed time he would invest in his studio and instruments, improving not only his production skills and live performance, but his mindset as an artist too. Pierre has always been about more than the Bass and Clubbing scenes that framed his debuts. Over 5 years of his monthly Rinse show, he’s sought out guests from the known (Jay Glass Dubs, Subtext’s James Ginzburg) to the then-unknown (KMRU, Neinzer), quickly becoming the voice of Ambient on Rinse FR. Two recent releases, the emotive “Ad Astra (Per Ardua)”, a plaintive, piano-led ambient ballad on NoSuit Records, or the sonically extreme and emotional "Snakes & Ladders" on Music for Commercials, are just facets of PEEV’s identity, as an impressive slate of releases for 2021 shows. ‘Ccendrs', Pierre's first Ambient LP was released in March 2021. It was built as a collection of six pieces that emerged from a Live AV Set I was invited to perform at the cutting-edge, community-driven COMMON Multiverse event by Currents.fm. 'Ccendrs' allowed Pierre to find his very own sweet spot after years of work. Somewhere between the over-thinking brainy context of studio and the visceral rush that comes with playing live music. After the unexpected release of emotional power-ambient EP "A Farewell to Dust" in May, Pierre keeps on delivering at a tremendous pace, with a collaborative EP composed with French rising producer Realitycheck on Lyon-based label Music for Commercials in July of 2021: a genuine throwback to the distinctive intricate percussion work and shattered, rolling basslines of PEEV's previous works, gaining exposure on outlets such as The Ransom Note, Tsugi, Bandcamp and more. On top of this, with his Bordeaux-based friend Nuit, he’s started exploring the sludgier side of low end noise for a project that will probably take listeners way beyond the frontiers of electronic music. Whatever Pierre is on, there will be energy and a feel of spaciousness and depth: a reflection of decades of experience, coupled to an always more precise and process-driven approach to both live setup and studio are definitely paving the way for his most exciting works to date. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Ska Maria Pastora | Ska Maria Pastora | The band Ska Maria Pastora from Recife in state of Pernambuco/Brazil is another great example of Afro Diaspora in the Americas. For sure a very special one since the inspiration for their music come from another Afro Diaspora with a not less grand history in the world music as their home country itself. We are talking about Ska the rhythm that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s and was the precursor of rocksteady and reggae. To mention a legendary band representing this music and active nowadays in different constellation of musicians, The Skatalites, a reference in Ska Maria Pastora’s work. Here we are with a dose of Afro Diaspora with an amazing connection, Brazil and Jamaica. These are separated just geographically, however deeply united through their African ancestry. Despite being under two criminal colonial methods, the Portuguese and the British, in both cases people’s resistance gave birth to musical rhythms that have conquered the world with a method less criminal than the one used by their colonizers. Politics and history are important, but let us concentrate on what these guys do best, MUSIC! Ska is a very well-known music genre, although not that much in Brazil, where people are normally busy with their own genres. In Recife you have Coco, Maracatu, Forró and many others. Ska Maria Pastora’s main influence is Frevo, a dance and musical style originated from Recife and which rhythm is similar to Ska. The band does a superb job in merging and integrating these two hot styles. Its interpretation of Jamaican Ska with the addition of north-Brazilian influences lets us enjoy something that everyone knows but with a lot of elements that only people in that region of Brazil know. For those in the world who are not familiar with the way how Brazilian musical junction works, be prepared! Ska Maria Pastora shows what it is to rediscover and revisit Ska music through a passion, energy and inspiration that uses the harmonies of Frevo in order to poison Jamaican music. The result is an effervescent dance music, typically neither refined nor popular, universal but with identity. Formed in 2008, Ska Maria Pastora is an instrumental music project of musicians who have in common a taste for Ska, Reggae and, of course, Frevo. Taking advantage of the similarity between these styles, the band made Olinda’s main rhythm Frevo the melodic basis for their Ska compositions. Ska Maria Pastora has been influenced by Capiba, Nelson Ferreira, Spok Frevo Orchestra, Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Don Drummond and The Skatalites, the main exponent of ska, who mixed European music with the Caribbean. |
