Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Aquasocks | AQUASOCKS is the highly anticipated musical collaboration between Halifax mainstays, Ghettosocks (Juno Award Nominee and ECMA Award winner), and up-and-coming, Aquakultre (CBC Searchlight Award winner). These two artists fuse and intertwine their distinctive lyrical stylings on the 10-track debut full-length album, HOLOS, set to a jazzy and vibrant musical backdrop. The rhymes are witty and poetic touching social commentary, concepts of community, and social justice – without coming across as didactic. AQUASOCKS is a rap group whose members’ friendship can be felt throughout the songs.

Search | Add | 4 | Cattywompus | Cattywompus | Cattywompus is an American rock band formed in 2001 in Los Angeles, California. Cattywompus is Jonathan Lennartz lead singer/rhythm guitar, Aaron Bateman lead guitar, James Webber bass/vocals and John Webber on drums. Cattywompus released its first EP entitled, “Backwards Evolution,” a five-track album. Around this time they added Kevin Webber, John and James’ father, on percussion adding a deeper dimension to the music. The songs were recorded at Hot Pie Studios in Pasadena, California. The tracks were recorded analog by the Webber’s cousin and studio co-founder Paul Gagliaradi in a whirlwind 2 days of sessions. The band held a CD release party in North Hollywood at a favorite local venue that was overpacked and ultimately shut down by the local fire marshal. Around this time they began venturing out playing shows further out in San Diego and Tempe, Arizona. Cattywompus followed up “Backwards Evolution” with the release of the “Wildfire,” in 2005. This EP was again independently produced and basic drum tracks recorded analog at Hot Pie Studio, but this time it received assistance from Los Angeles audio producer, Kent Hitchcock. The band had these tracks digitally converted to Pro Tools. After acquiring an abandoned Santa Monica recording studio for a few months and purchasing a Pro Tools console, the band took over producing the songs. This six-song EP garnered much attention and acclaim in the indie community and received reviews comparing the band to The Black Crowes and two of its major influences, The Rolling Stones and Neil Young. Critics noted the signature “tight rhythm section” of the band and the appeal to fans of both classic rock and modern acoustic rock. (rocknworld.com and allaccessmagazine.com) They began playing at larger venues in Hollywood including The Roxy, Key Club, Viper Room and The House of Blues. In October of 2005, Cattywompus embarked on its first tour. Within one month, the band played to fans at shows and live radio performances in nine different states—from California to Florida and back. The tour greatly increased the band’s fan base and led to radio play on college radio stations and attention on the internet. Sadly the excitement from the success of the tour was short lived. Not long after Cattywompus arrived home, Kevin Webber passed away from cancer. During this time of profound loss, a rush of writing took place. To honor Kevin’s love for music, the band got together with these new songs and brought in the guidance of Britt Phillip to return to the recording studio in early 2006. Britt had been a bandmate of Kevin’s in the 70’s and 80’s who had lost contact over the years. James reached out to him after finding his name on several hand written cassette tapes in Kevin’s collection. Soon after, Britt invited the band to record in his newly built home recording studio. Within a month they had a full length record, raw and ready to mix. “Gospel Hymns and Original Sins,” the first full-length release from the band, was released in early 2007. The LP was once again self-produced, but this time Cattywompus got some help. In addition to producer Britt Phillips work, Thom Flowers mixed the tracks in Santa Barbara and Evren Goknar mastered the album at Capitol Records in Hollywood. Reviews of the album observe the emotional charge behind the album as a result of Kevin’s passing but highlight the catchiness of the tunes and well composed harmonies which arouse a sense of nostalgia. (getunderground.com) After a sold out record release party at The Roxy in Hollywood, the band embarked on a short tour opening for Reckless Kelly up the California coast through Santa Cruz and San Francisco. In 2007 Cattywompus moved to Austin, Texas. During 2007 and 2008 the band played up and down Texas hitting as many iconic theaters, honky tonks and haunts as they could find. They played notable shows at Antone’s & Momo’s in Downtown Austin and as the opener for JJ Grey & Mofro at the Granada Theater in Dallas. During this time the band started recording a new song they had been closing shows with, New Wave Outlaw Politic, at The Recording Conservatory of Austin. For the first time, there was a slow down as the band had began new lives in a new city. This was also a time where they embarked on new personal adventures and decided to take a break after 7 years of writing, rehearsing, recording and hundreds of live performances. New Wave Outlaw Politic sat quietly, locked away, unfinished and unheard. Until now. Now the New Wave Outlaw Politic is out now! Find it and any of the other Albums and EPs on all your favorite streaming and digital services. |

Search | Add | 4 | Hiding Inside Victims | HIDINGINSIDEVICTIMS | Hiding Inside Victims was a Crust/Hardcore Punk band from the Los Angeles/Ventura County California area. The band began late 2008 with home recordings and jam sessions with Joaquin (vocals/drums) and Joe (vocals/guitar). Both previously had been singers in separate disbanded street punk bands, Initial Distrust and U.S.Brats. In 2009 the band played their first show at the Infest Warehouse in Los Angeles. After a series of shows in the Southern California area the band decided to look for a bassist and took Mike (BlisterUnit/Want but Mari) vocalist and guitarist for the spot. After set of shows Mike had a mutual parting from the band for his other career and musical endeavors. The band began again to search for another bassist and this time a second guitarist and found guitarist Chris (Schismism, The Last Priority) and bassist Ryan "Ratboy" (Throat Cancer). Founding member Joe left the band in 2011. The band completed their first Western U.S. tour with Dutch punk band Suicide State in May 2011 coinciding with a split release by the two bands which was released in the U.S. and Europe. |

Search | Add | 4 | Salvatore Panzera | Salvatore Vito Panzera | Salvatore “Sal” Vito Panzera is originally from Lequile in Apulia, and as many Italians of his generation, his parents moved to Canada in 1967. He was already there by the time of his first single “Era Scritto Cosi/Il Vento” in 1969. There he formed a band with “paisà” Giovanni “Johnny” d’Orazio and his brother Sergio Panzera, playing every Saturday for italian weddings in Montreal. It was during one of these gigs he met Jerry Cucuzzella, a disco producer from Montreal (Bent Boys, Suzy Q, Punkin’ Machine). Giovanni and Jerry would end up working together on a lot of other disco and hi-nrg productions such as Nightlife Unlimited, Stephanie Wells, Valerie Krystal, Evelyn Smith, Motion, while Sal wrote and sang “Space Traveller”, an english and french cover of the Italian disco track “Capire, Amare, Soffrire” by Il Seme dell’Amore, for his studio group Animation. “No, Stasera No” was originally released as a 7” in a few hundreds copies with no cover, handed out as a promotional tool in order to publicize Sal and Giovanni’s own label “Piuma”, when they decided to step into production. Timing didn’t help the fate of this 7”, as it got released in 1981, at the very end of the golden era of disco music, letting it disappear into obscurity and making it a super sought-after disco holy grail. |

Search | Add | 4 | Moleras | Moleras | Moleras - this is handmade alternative rock from Aachen, Germany. The duo consists of Moritz Bas and Lukas Wynands. They have known each other their whole life and have always made music together. In 2017 they started a band called “Nepomuk” in which they gained their first band and stage experiences. They also started to write their own music inspired by the stuff they love. In 2019 they decided to put their own songs together for a record. They recorded their debut album “obstacles” in the practice room of and with help from their friends Boon Goon. The album is about personal struggles and tries to provide a way out of them. It is supposed to show the listeners a way to deal with their personal obstacles. Considering their release, they changed their name to “Moleras” and decided to start over again. The duo performs with a pretty unusual line up: guitar, synthesizer, bass, vocals, percussion and a ukulele. In order to gain a full band sound, they use loopers and a bunch of effect pedals. With those instruments they are able to create a unique sound and their performances become extraordinary. The friends are excited about their first release and can’t wait to get on the road to bring their music to the people! “When the breakdown is getting nearer, try to start anew and always remember: your only obstacle is you!” |

Together they created the Polynesian P Funk Reggae Sounds of Big Every Time. Sinipao Roberts (aka Daddy P) joined BET in 2006 as a backup singer. In 2008 JD left the band suddenly and Roberts went from backup singer to front man. Now, JD is back and graciously grateful and humbled by the continued support and Aloha after everything.

Search | Add | 4 | A Dozen Dying Roses | In these increasingly violent times, heavy music has become just as brutal. A Dozen Dying Roses are the emotion of today’s youth. Formed in 2004 from the ashes of numerous fallen bands, ADDR has risen. Through passion, conviction, and pure hostility towards the society that has been built around them, like many great sounds, sorrow and hope are the catalyst. Like most bands the age of its members plays a part in the how the songwriting is influenced. ADDR ranges in age from 19 to 29. This makes for an interesting mix of old school hardcore and metal traditions, and modern day melodies and ideals. Basically it’s metal as haunting as the Swedish innovators, with breakdowns that rival the heaviest hitters of today. With 2 successful demos under there arm ADDR are ready for bigger and better things. Through dedication this band has become a force in there scene and are growing in popularity with every venture made from there home in Staten Island, NY.

Search | Add | 4 | Algy Lord Gray | Alan Gray | In the early seventies Algy and pals decided to musically "get it together in the country" and went to Wales where they stumbled upon the gorgeous abandoned mansion Plas Llecha. They moved in and began recording, living in primitive but beautiful surroundings - and remained in Wales forever. Bertie was hand made each with unique covers, and a copy was sent to a baffled John Peel who wrote back to the band and later gave them a live Peel Session slot. Bertie is a specific form of naturally eccentric brilliance, drawing on an anarchic british tradition that encompasses James Joyce, The Goons, Hawkwind and Monty Python. Undercurrents of genius later transformed into actual genius with their next band The Great Crash. From 1971 - 1974 they developed a beautiful melodic Art Rock and recorded 30 tracks in the mansion, Piano led and sometimes reminiscent of Elton Johns best early compositions, with a dash of 10cc, and a Deja Vu vibe. The insular circumstances of their lifestyle and spacious digs seem to have allowed their musical spirits to flourish. An exec at Parlophone got wind of their music and signed them up, but, as with their Peel session, they just couldnt work in the sterile studio conditions, and the sessions ended in disaster as the band fled back to their beloved Welsh Idyll. Unbeknownst to themselves and the world at large, the Great Crash sessions from Plas Llecha, are pure gold dust, and represent rhe great Lost Classic of British Rock. A missing piece in the tapestry of British music. Their 1972-1973 unissued double LP ' Deadfire Echoes' is scheduled for a Jan 2022 release on Seelie Court. Plas Llecha became an internationally famous Recording Studio where Oasis and The Verve recorded their major albums, |

Search | Add | 4 | Tulio Piva | Born in Santiago do Boqueirão (RS), on the border with Argentina, on December 4, 1915, Túlio Piva became known for his style of composing and playing the guitar. On February 11, 1993, samba gaucho said goodbye to one of its main representatives. Renowned for his unique guitar strumming, a talented composer and influenced by rhythms ranging from tango to samba, Túlio Piva marked the music of Rio Grande do Sul and of Brazil. The composer gained prominence for his pioneering spirit in composing sambas with a “gaucho accent”, with a poetic mix of his border influences, tango and Rio de Janeiro samba. A paradoxical artist: a gaucho descendant of Italians, who in his songs talked about life on the favela, tambourine and batucada. Author of songs recorded by renowned names such as Elis Regina, Elza Soares, Jair Rodrigues, Germano Mathias, Demônios da Garoa, Noite Ilustrada and Luiz Vieira, among Túlio's main works the following stand out: the sambas "Gente da Noite", known as the anthem of Porto Alegre's bohemia and the name of its famous nightclub, which operated for a decade (1980s) on Avenida João Pessoa. Porto Alegre/RS, "Pandeiro de Prata", the great winner of the II South-Brazilian Popular Song Festival (1968), and "Tem Que Ter Mulata", which received dozens of recordings and interpretations, including in Russia, the United States and Venezuela. Túlio Piva, alongside his fellow countryman Lupicínio Rodrigues, is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in popular music in Rio Grande do Sul of all time.

Search | Add | 4 | Jagger Jack | Gael Huet | Jagger Jack has discovered the 'Thunderdome compilations' at the age of eleven. These early beginnings led him later to explore the world of Free Parties, mostly to see the Dj [a=Manu le Malin] playin'. He saw him at a 'Futuria', that felt just like a punch in the face. The urge to play his own music grew stronger until one day he scored his first set of decks. The will to play in public pushed him to participate in organising Free Parties around the french Alps. After a while he decided to organise legal parties where he could invite and sometimes play with djs of all styles and all origins. While other European countries can claim to support a vibrant electronic alternative culture the same can not be said of metropolitan France. With up to 5000 people gathering together the perception of local authorities toward "techno culture" and the resulting constraints are just killing it. As an activist for the industrial hardcore sound in France, Dj [a=Jagger Jack] created [l=Hardcore Deluxe Records], the label on which one he has already composed with [a=Pirate Mind] two Ep :"Share your agression part I " and "part II". Today influenced by "IST style", the Dutch gabber sound and the industrial sound generally, he deliver us powerful, melodious, structured hardcore, in the rather rare tones in France. Indeed far from the "frenchcore" and from the sound "tribe" in overproduction in our country, Jagger Jack proposes us a pleasantly surprising musical alternative with his compositions and mid-tempo mix. |
