Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Steady States | Steady States began as a casual jamming project between Mark and Kyle. After a while, some song ideas developed and they decided to form an actual band. After some false starts with different drummers, they settled on Bob, whose solid, powerful, hardcore punk-informed drumming perfectly complemented Kyle’s melodic bass lines and Mark’s angular, dissonant guitar riffs. The lineup was solidified in February 2011 with the addition of Joel on vocals and guitar. Joel’s unhinged and oddball vocal sensibilities turned out to be well-suited for the band’s strangely natural-sounding mix of hardcore, noise and post-punk skronk. | |

His latest single, "Long Before The Sun", released on April 23rd and a full-length album is expected to drop later in the year. | Search | Add | 4 | Darío González Moreira | Darío Moreira’s multicultural origins reflect a wide variety of influences in his compositions. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1962, into a family of Italian-Argentine and Portuguese-Galician emigrants, who returned to Galicia in 1964. He grew up in the town of O Porriño, in an “indianos” house run by his paternal grandmother. The rhythmic sound of the train, which crosses the town through the center, is part of his first sound memories. His mother, Lucía Moreira, a native of the province of Santa Fe (Argentina), transmitted her culture to him through literature, gastronomy and music. Since he was a child he had contact with the tango of the Rio de la Plata and argentine folklore; He learned the generic “palos” of flamenco with the gypsy community, and participated in several popular music groups. He studied Classical Guitar with professors Javier Fernández Oria, Uxío Mayo and Tomás Camacho at the Vigo Superior Conservatory of Music (Galicia), where he had the opportunity to receive master classes from maestro José Tomás, who highlighted his expressive strength. He also participated with teachers and students in jazz sessions, learning in a self-taught way. Within the folk music scene, he formed the group [a2451125], together with [a5146653], [a2525264], [a5146655] and [a5146654], performing a copious work as an arranger and composer on the traditional music repertoire of Galicia. They recorded 5 albums and performed at the main folk music festivals, being one of the Galician groups with more projection in the 80′s, and awarded with the Galician Critics Prize in 1989. Faced with the need to resolve the aftermath of a youthful fracture in his left arm, he started to use in an intuitive way technique similar to the renaissance “dedillo”, which consists of the alternate pulsation of the fingertip and fingernail. This allowed him to perform scales and melodic phrases at great speed, and also, to apply this resource on acoustic and electric guitar, getting the effect of the pick with the fingers. By observing this way of playing the string on many instruments from different times and cultures, he deepens the study of world music, applying innovative guitar techniques in his compositions and developing the capacity for improvisation, from a language full of rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and timbre resources. | |

The album's lyrics tackles socio-political issues as well as detailing personal struggles while blending heavy riffs, melodic leads and vocals reminiscent of bands like Poison the Well, Shai Hulud, The Carrier and Misery Signals. The album also features guest vocals from The Ghost Inside vocalist Jonathan Vigil, as well as a solo from guitarist Kyle Rasmussen of Vitriol.

Her mother bought her a lap steel guitar and arranged lessons with a local man. After a few lessons, Bev was outplaying her teacher – and she was away! 1947: At the age of 11, Bev entered and won Dick Fair’s Australia’s Amateur Hour on 3DB singing My Pinto Pony And I, scoring the most votes ever recorded on the show. After this she received many offers, including a month’s residency at the Theatre Royal, Hobart with Graeme Bell’s Jazz Band and Willie Fennell, where she was billed as Australia’s youngest female yodelling star. She won many talent quests in Victoria and had a cabinet full of trophies. 1950: She went to Melbourne and stayed with an aunty, who would take her around to various shows. She appeared on Channel 7 in Melbourne as support act to the Dave Clark Five. She and her friend Olive Bice were regulars on Dick Cranbourne’s Hillbilly Show, which was on every Sunday at 8am. Every year the Victorian Banjo Club held a Hillbilly Ball at the Melbourne Town Hall, where Bev always appeared. 1954: At 18, Bev went to Sydney and did the rounds of the shows, including the McKean Sisters’ Harmony Trail show and the Reg Lindsay Show, then toured Victoria with a travelling rodeo show. 1955: Bev was a grand finalist in Swallows Parade, a 3KZ talent quest, which was open to both amateur and professional performers, and was runner-up. She played at numerous functions, particularly around the Bendigo district where she was living. Bev then made several 78rpm recordings, including Fool Such As I while still in her teens. 1958-60s: She married Alf Roberts, who was a friend of Buddy Williams. Buddy asked Bev and Alf to tour Australia with his show, which they did in a small caravan. Crossing the Nullarbor Bev wasn’t feeling well and had begun putting on weight. Realising she was pregnant, she and Alf left the tour and returned to Maldon, where they had a poultry farm. Their daughter Lynette was born in Maldon, followed by a son, Kelvin and another daughter, Barbara. The children were only young when their father developed throat cancer and died. Bev moved to Bendigo where she worked with the police department trying to support her three children. 1970s: She met Graeme McShanag, who worked for Power & Water. He applied for a job in Darwin and got it, so they moved up north and began a new life there. 1973: She and Graeme were married in Darwin and they had another son, Mark. 1983: Bev resumed her singing career with an appearance on a local program, 1330, hosted by Mike Foley on Darwin’s NTD8. To this day, she and Mike have remained firm friends, with him playing bass in her trio, which is still active in Darwin. She appeared on numerous shows and would do guest spots on travelling shows, with artists such as Buddy Williams and Barry Thornton, whenever they were in town. She would travel to the Tamworth CM Festival and appear on shows at Southgate Shopping Centre and Oxley Bowling Club, with Desree-Ilona Crawford and Olive. She was also a popular guest on the Buttercup Open House concerts. 1985: In March, Bev was offered a recording contract with R&H Studios in Geelong, Victoria to record on the Morning Mist label, which featured harmony yodelling with Olive Bice – Yodelling In Harmony. At the same time Bev put down tracks for her first solo album, Yodelling Country Girl. The Harmony Yodelling release was in the year’s top 10 best sellers. She had a track, Daddy Was a Yodelling Cowboy, included on the compilation CD, Yodellers From Down Under. She also had a track, My Shoes Keep Walking Back To You included on Hot Top Country in the NT. Bev recorded I Wouldn’t Change You If I Could, featuring her two daughters, Lyn and Barbara. Her grandson Billy was also featured. 1991: Inducted into Rocky Page’s Hall of Fame and Avenue of Honour in Barmera, SA. 1993: Inducted into the Hands of Fame, Tamworth. 2002: Bev was named The NT’s Senior On The Go. 2017-19: Mike Foley wrote the story of Bev’s life, Presenting Beverley McShanag. 2021: Still performs locally in Darwin for special events with her long-time bass player, Mike Foley. |
