Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Skandinavia | Skandinavia | Upon hearing of a new band formed by ex-Bellatrix singer/songer Eliza Newman and featuring former Crashland bassist Martin Maddaford, your correspondent became all misty-eyed, recalling the halcyon days when being ‘indie’ involved dancing to the Evening Session and getting ink smudges from glossy copies of the Melody Maker (sniff). Far from being a Class of 2000 alt.pop supergroup (Fierce Panda contingent), Skandinavia are actually embracers of Rawk Music and duly have the riffery to prove it. New single 'Never Too Late' comes on like a slab of early ‘90s power metal, with layered wailing vocals, soaring violin and thumping bass, but without the ‘ironic’ factor that could have them labelled as a typical ‘post-Darkness’ band (even though Dan Hawkins once played guitar for them). Meanwhile B-side 'Storm' is reminiscent of 'Pablo Honey'-era Radiohead given more oomph, dusted with string accompaniment and replacing Thom for PJ Harvey. Plus the lyrical content is said to concern Nordic mythology, which is a far cry from singing about Star Wars fanatics and wetting yourself in front of potential boyfriends. Stormy, mystical and highly enjoyable Iceland rock it is, then. Vocals, Violin – Eliza Newman Bass – Martin Maddaford Drums – Dave Collinder Guitar – Claire Wakeman |

| Search | Add | 4 | Dusty Watt | Dr Allan Charles Watt | Dusty Watt (real name Dr Allan Charles Watt) joined the NZ Army Territorial Reserve Force in 1978 and 1980 transferred to the Regular Force. He served a total time of 17 1/2 years combined service in the Regular and Reserve Forces. He further served with the NZ Police as a sworn officer for around 9 years. After which he attended University and completed numerous qualifications, the highest being a PhD in Forensic Computing. What does this have to do with the music? Nothing, but as the writer of this album it is worth a mention. At age 12 whilst attending the early years of high school, with a group of others attended guitar lessons and soon realised he had a natural aptitude for the instrument. Apart from a few talent quests in his younger years and the odd Karaoke appearance, until now has never written any music or performed on a stage as a musician. Inspired by his maternal Grandfather Phillip Charles McBarron, who was shot and wounded in the fields of the Somme in August 1918, in 2014 Dusty commenced writing songs in commemoration of the 100 years of the ANZACs involvement in the Great War. He wrote the tunes and lyrics for all the songs on the album “The Ghost of the Somme”. After this he ventured into a new era, this time recording his own songs and the album “The Dusty Trail” and it is slowly developing. I hope you enjoy my music. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Mauro Bolognini | Mauro Bolognini (28 June 1922 - 14 May 2001) was an Italian film director of literate sensibility, known for masterful handling of period subject matter. Mauro Bolognini was born in Pistoia, Tuscany. A former architectural student, Bolognini began his film career as an assistant to director Luigi Zampa in Italy, and directors Yves Allegret and Jean Delannoy in France. He began directing his own feature films in the mid 1950s, and had his first international success with Gli innamorati ("Wild Love"). His other notable films of the 1950s and early 1960s include Giovani mariti ("Young Husbands"), La notte brava, La giornata balorda ("From a Roman Balcony"), and the Marcello Mastroianni-Claudia Cardinale starrer Il bell'Antonio (arguably his masterpiece), all written by Pier Paolo Pasolini. Parting professionally with Pasolini in 1961, Bolognini went on to direct two sensual love stories starring Cardinale, La Viaccia and Senilità, before turning his talents to a series of international anthology films, including Le bambole (The Dolls), I tre volti ("Three Faces of a Woman"), Le fate ("The Queens") and Le streghe (The Witches). | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Baby Bertha | Baby Bertha formed from the ashes of Relative in late 1971. Several members came and went before the band featuring Dave Ellis, guitar/vocals, and Des Law, drums, finally settled into a groove with the addition of Ian Mclaughlin on bass and Roger 'Proff' Perry on rhythm guitar. The band went from strength to strength playing the south coast from Hastings to Southampton throughout 1972. In January, '72, they cut a demo LP at SRT Studios, Luton featuring songs mainly written by Dave Ellis. Musical differences arose when Des decided he wanted to be a DJ rather than a drummer. As luck would have it, Dave and Ian met Pete Gibbons, drummer with Sweet Poison, at the Bournmouth Folk and Rock contest in February 1973. Pete was an outstanding, agressive drummer and after one jam, they formed the band Charge. Sadly, both Pete and Roger Perry are no longer with us. Members Dave Ellis (vocs, gtr), Ian Mclaughlin (bass gtr), Roger 'Prof' Perry (gtr), Desmond Law (drums). | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Briars Frome | "Briars Frome"……. A small village in deepest Norfolk….nothing exceptional about it, just a few houses, a pub, the parish church….and the grand old Manor house “Briars Court” watching over it all…..nothing exceptional…..but for one thing…..it disappeared. …or rather, it was forgotten…no one went there and no one came from there. All memory of it in the surrounding villages began to fade and talk of it stopped, after a while it did not even appear on any signposts or maps of the area. All of this began in 1965, shortly after Ray and Ron Verne bought and moved into Briars Court. The Verne Brothers were a rock and roll sensation and with their new found wealth they decided to buy a country house where they could record and party and enjoy all the things that being a rock and roll star in the 60’s could bring… ….but The Verne Brothers are also forgotten… Now the road that once led to and from the village is overgrown, hidden, and the few cars that pass that way drive by unaware of what lies just beyond the heavy, dark treeline…. …..however, if you stand in the right place, at the right time, through the trees you can see the crumbling chimney stacks of the old Manor house and hear the dull sound of the old Church bell carried on the wind…..as the crows circle overhead….. ....people started to notice strange radio sounds and interference hidden at the extreme ranges of the dial...only heard in certain areas and at certain times unaware how close they were to the forgotten village...and unaware of the eyes watching and the hands reaching... | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Atunga | In the summer of 1990, guitarist Scott Phipps and drummer Steve Schuman, formerly of Axis, gave flamboyant singer Gregory Paul Cherone an opportunity to front their hard rock band. With the addition of bass player, Derek Avery, and a revamped determination, the dye was cast. They borrowed a name that belonged to an exotic dancer from Rio de Janiero and called themselves, Atunga. Their music was noisy, rhythmic, and laden with catchy hooks that soaked into your brain until you became a believer. Unlike the onslaught of mindless heavy rock, Atunga has a coherent repertoire that deals with real emotions and often times a genuine message. The songs are what mattered most. And the band put all their energy into each one of them. A distinctive hard rock sound wailed out of Boston, Massachusetts in the early 90's. | |
