Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

The music tries to represent certain experiences that affect him in a musical form, so the lyrical themes and ambiences are, most of the time, about personal issues.

Search | Add | 4 | Nowhere Near The Garden | Strange name for a band? The name of the band originally comes from a marriage council guidance course, those who are unmarried are nowhere near the garden; the garden being the biblical garden of eden/perfection. Whatever you say pastor! Other theories include (but are not limited to) references to beer gardens, horticultural disasters, plant allergies and the mould growing on Jason's bed sheets (you wouldn't want to go anywhere near that garden). Garden party - The boys once ran up a £1175 bar tab in 4 days. The guitarist can't tell Kurt Cobain from James Hetfield - James doesn't listen to music on purpose, Jason and Rog once had to tell him who Kurt Cobain was. Metallicas sound man comes to the rescue Big Mick Hughes once got a call to help the band in a small smokey pub where he fixed a tiny vocal PA that had packed in. He has done sound for NNTG twice. The behind the scene stories this guy tells are priceless! Young musician of year - when not playing in the garden Jason is a classical percussionist; he has played with the CBSO and was a semi finalist in the young musician of the year competition. He graduated from music college on the Friday of Glastonbury. Rog is a classically trained composer (the two met at Birmingham Conservatoire) and has written a number of chamber, choral and orchestral pieces. Stolen gear - June 2003 the band had all of their gear stolen, £9000 in total. Other bands, friends and fans rallied round and supported by lending instruments and even donating cash. Regional TV and radio support as well. Gear is still missing. Senheisser competition winners - rog entered a competition advertised in Q. The band came 1st out of 1300 entries from UK and abroad. Band won 1st prize: £2500 cash, £2500 gear (which came in handy after the theft) and a spot on Glastonbury 04.

Search | Add | 4 | Sealsia | Sealsia | In 1973, Daniel Pons, Guy Chanut and Yves Jourdanet, three friends from high school in Arles, founded the group Sealsia, acoustic and vocal trio, mainly taking songs from Neil Young and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.(Daniel Pons: acoustic guitar and vocals, Guy Chanut: acoustic guitar and vocals, Yves Jourdanet: 12 string guitar and vocals). In 1975, Daniel Pons leaves the band, replaced by Patrick Schmitt on bass guitar.Sealsia becomes a semi-acoustic band, with hovering sounds interpreting his own compositions (Sealsia is an imaginary and magical kingdom populated by elves, fairies and gnomes, in which take place the tales written by three friends). In 1983, Sealsia merged with another arlesian band: Nef, and became Wladimir Sealsianeff (Richard Lorenzi: electric guitar, Vincent Tronc Chérézy: keyboards, Daniel Florès: drums, Guy Chanut and Yves Jourdanet). In 1989, the formation became acoustic again, sometimes as a trio, sometimes as a quartet, with the return of Daniel Pons, and an additional voice. In 2014, after 40 years on stage, Yves Jourdanet and Guy Chanut perform as a duo, revisiting the sixties with a fully acoustic energy, two voices and two guitars that cross the 'Woodstock Generation' from Dylan to Led Zeppelin, passing by the Stones, Beatles, Kinks, Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens and many others. Yves Jourdanet is also singer, guitarist from the tribute bands Harvest (tributing Neil Young) and Sticky Fingers (tributing Rolling Stones). |

Search | Add | 4 | Ophir Ilzetzki | Ophir Ilzetzki | Ophir Ilzetzki (*1978) is a classically trained composer of experimental music living in Tel Aviv, Israel. He holds a doctorate in music from the Southampton University, where he studied under Michael Finnissy, as well as an MMus from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and a BA from the Koninklijk Conservatorium – both in composition. Ilzetzki's music explores various forces through instrumental, electronic, computer, performance, task and conceptual scores, where his works often research the intersection between through-composed and improvised pieces. Ilzetzki’s ongoing compositional goal is to strip forms to their bare essentials whilst still maintaining their identity. In recent years Ilzetzki has been applying games to musical structures, as well as focusing on alternative avenues for scoring music - an activity often leading to the meeting of music with dramaturgy. Ophir’s music is regularly performed in Israel and abroad, and has been featured in numerous international festivals, such as: Tectonics, MATA, Norwich and Norfolk Festival, ACL Asian Music Festival, ISCM World Music Days, City of London Festival, Israel Festival, and more. His works have been published by: Open Source, Stenton Press, Classwar Karaoke, Surrism Phonoethics, False IND, Babelscores, Oryan & Ressling. |

Search | Add | 4 | Dr. Cabrera | Sergio Cabrera Hernández | Sergio Cabrera’s influence has been making a big impact on dance floors since the underground rave scene of the early 90’s. Sergio made a name for himself on his native island of Tenerife showcasing new beats and regularly playing before cheering crowds of Old Skool Hardcore, Jungle and Drum and Bass devotees. From humble beginnings playing rundown warehouses and back gardens, Sergio’s popularity quickly won him residencies for Tenerife’s most iconic clubs, playing a mix of UK Garage, 2 Step and Speed Garage. Making the move to London, UK, Sergio soon became resident DJ at N1 Leicester Square, Pacha London and the infamous Polarise nights, playing side by side with Daniel Brosnan, Dom Chevez, Philips and George, Marky D, Remedy, Sonny Wharton, Trophy Twins, Filthy Rich, Hoxton Whores, Ratpack and Slipmatt (SL2) to name a few. From pulling international crowds to their feet in Tenerife at Paradise Club, Busby’s and Bobby’s, El Establo and the Joyce Bar, Sergio moved permanently to London to pursue his passion for audio engineering. He studied at the world famous SAE institute and went on to record, edit and mix for documentary and fashion film soundtracks. He has released tracks with labels like Madison Square Records, Monkey Show Records and ExperimentalBass Records. With airplay on radio stations like Essentialclubbers and Renegade FM, Sergio’s music style is diverse, encompassing everything from Old Skool Hardcore, Drum and Bass and Jungle to Funky House, Electro Tech House, House and Breakbeat. Sergio’s undeniable flare for mixing Old Skool Hardcore with new and exciting beats has seen him develop a music portfolio that exemplifies his wealth of knowledge that is intrinsically tied to his musical roots in the heyday of rave culture. However firmly rooted his sound might be, it hasn’t stopped Sergio from exploring exciting new territories as a dance music artist. Staying true to his innate curiosity and persistent obsession for advances in software applications, Sergio has evolved into a multi-genre producer offering an almost painterly palette of sounds and interesting mixes. His acute sense of hearing and attention to detail filters the subtle changes of a polyphonic composition, complementing his versatility and vast technical knowledge. The inquisitive mind of this young Spanish producer has drawn him to explore the direct psychological and physiological responses associated with compositional frequencies, leading him down the path of psychoacoustics and sound installations. As of now, Sergio has only scratched the surface of his musical possibility as he continues to dive into the creative depths of music production to develop a sonic language of his own. He has set out on a mission to stimulate our brains and expand our perceptual responses in ways that will take our receptors on a next-level musical journey. We eagerly await his upcoming work. “Creating music in a studio is great as you know it will create a response - a feeling - when it’s heard, but nothing compares the immense feeling of joy I get from playing in front of a crowd that goes wild at the movement of my fingertips.” - Sergio Cabrera |
