Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Grupo Alaya | Music group from Bolivia (South America) created in 1984 in La Paz, Bolivia. The name of the group "Alaya" comes from the Aymara language which means "from above", with reference to artists living at 3,800 meters from the sea level. The musicians of the group live between Bolivia and France. In 26 years of career, 5 CDs have been produced, mainly Miguel Angel PUÑA's compositions, but also a few covers of traditional and popular Andean music. The characteristics of Grupo ALAYA's music are the links with nature and the cosmos. His music is the voice of the Altiplano and Lake Titicaca (the highest navigable lake in the world). It carries with it the melancholy of one of the poorest countries in the world that has endured four centuries of servitude, exploitation, oppression and political instability. It reflects the energy and love of a people who face their destiny without losing hope. It is the expression of the mystery of the mountains where lives El Condor, the king of birds. Grupo ALAYA wishes to promote Bolivian art which is based on a rich cultural heritage, with live events (music, song, dance ...) such as shows and animations. Participating in cultural exchanges between peoples makes it possible to affirm the personality and the soul of the Bolivian lifestyle. In a spirit of valorization and evolution of the Bolivian folklore, the group interprets different styles of music: - traditional music also called indigenous music, the one that comes from the Andean high plateau. It can be played at carnival time, but also during community celebrations. The composition of this ancestral music requires the intervention of wind instruments (sikus, zampoñas ..) and percussion (bombo ...) - contemporary city music, imbued with Spanish influence, particularly with stringed instruments such as the guitar. - modern music that retains traditional instrumentation and rhythm and uses Western instruments such as bass, drums or keyboards. All these reasons make Grupo ALAYA an ambassador of Bolivian culture.

Search | Add | 3 | Tom Road | A. Miguel Silva | Tom Road is a persona of António Gomes (aka Miguel Silva). For a few years, I was playing music in a lot of places in Portugal, that's the motive I decide to use the surname Road (I'm on the Road to somewhere....). I have started learning music early in time, but it was only in the final part of adolescence that I was looked for music with more interest. First I was working as a musician at weddings and parties, then I found the pleasure to create original songs. Along with the other two musicians: Joel and Jorge we made a few original songs. Later, we split and when I was introduced to digital media I quickly install a home-studio to make my music and follow my dream. Since early 2012, my work has increased significantly. By the end of 2017, I have more than 3000 titles, only a few are available on this site. Sooner it will be added new titles on a more regular basis. The titles can listen to all the platforms and if you wish you can purchase them for your personal use in physical or digital format. |

Search | Add | 3 | Single Track | From the beginning in 1978 to the end in 1986, two brothers (Sylvain et Régis Larquier), two cousins (Hapiez et Rab) of them and let's rock'n roll ! French Post Punk Rock from Brive (city of rugby but really not of rock'n roll !), they went to Pau where they were strongly supported by the Fanzine "On Est Pas Des Sauvages" and one of this main editor (Euthanasie Juliette) before going to Lyon closer to the label Kronchtadt Tapes. They recorded two tapes on this label (the second one at 1 000 ex.) and some years after a mini LP for an independant label from Paris that didn't satisfy the group. They didn't like the sound and the lack of support of the label with a minimalist distribution of the record who was a commercial failure. After more than 200 live performances with the main bands of the French eighties underground rock (OTH, Berrurier Noir, Les Ablettes, Parfum de Femmes, etc) mostly in the south of France, they record a last song for the "Les Héros Du Peuple Sont Immortels" compilation LP and finally disbanded. An intrusting french group who tried to mix influences from The Clash, reggae and new wave but sang in french in a melancolic and very identifical way. They talk about the economic crysis, unemployement, racism and were politicaly concerned. Two of them played after the end of Single Track with the Paris combo called "Les Joueurs".

Search | Add | 3 | Seymour DeKoven | From Wikipedia: "Seymour DeKoven (25 November 1903 – 29 October 1984), generally known simply as DeKoven, was a United States classical music radio personality of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. Because of his penchant for mixing short musical segments with enthusiastic commentary, he could be called a "classical music disk jockey." His unique style was utterly different from that of any popular-music disk jockey, but was also worlds apart from the dignified manner of other classical radio notables such as Robert J. Lurtsema of WGBH, Boston, and Robert Conrad of WCLV, Cleveland. He played exclusively music of the baroque and rococo eras. He is identified with the word "barococo" in reference to music of that time, a coinage that became familiar and understood, but was never widely adopted. In his obituary, The New York Times called him "passionately opinionated." In the U. S. prior to the 1960s, baroque music was known mostly to musicians and scholars, and was relatively unfamiliar to the general classical listening audience. DeKoven's broadcasts coincided with what is sometimes referred to as the "1960s baroque revival," a sharp rise in popular interest in the music."

Search | Add | 3 | Taylor Project | Taylor Project are a great live band known for their idiosyncratic and pub flavoured balladry, veering thoughtfully between humour and pathos. They showcase traditional instrumentation - with shimmering lap steel, banjo, mandolin and fiddle, and a great country backline - alongside the strong female vocals of sisters Sarah and Liz Taylor.

Search | Add | 3 | Hykoo | Lachlan Jones | There is something about the rapper known as HYKOO (AKA Lachlan Jones) you cant put your finger on. Trying to pigeonhole his style is near impossible. Think Eminem meets Sage Francis only Australian and drunk. HYKOO somehow blends all the qualities of a great rapper into one mysterious package. Intelligent, witty, deep, dark, satirical and street, HYKOO really is an exciting rapper. In 2003 HYKOO dropped his first release Pigeon Whole Hearted with his crew (Awakenings) through his own label Awakenings Records. HYKOO followed up with Rap Songs Meow in 04 with fellow crew member Osinaka, before featuring more recently on the Chasm E.P. and a barrage of guest appearance including tracks on FBI Presents, Stolen Records and Straight from the Art Vol. 2 |
