Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Following his interest in various musical genres he was playing both classical, pop, rock, reggae, jazz and more and toured Europe with different now a days unknown bands throughout his teens. Due to a damage of his right hand caused by overly intense practice he stopped playing at the age of 20 and began art-studies and travelling. Search Add 3 Anima Corpus Once upon a time there were five of us. The youth and nonconformity gave birth to “The Dirge”. For two years we had been playing black-doom metal. That lasted till the passion for classical instruments which was rooted since the childhood, come to the front, thus substituting pathos and outrageous behavior. It is then when we came up with “Usypalnitsa Duha” (eng. “Spirit Shrine”), and there became seven of us. By adding three other guests, we recorded a gothic album like we imagined it to be then. The way we were feeling it. Taking the opportunity, we remembered our native language, and sang in it. After that was the period of wandering, storming and winding – no use in talking about them. Now here are two of us. Today we are “Anima Corpus" (Latin for “Spirit Shrine“). The understanding to change the name occurred while making a new album. All the more so this new material can hardly be called logical development of the previous project. One thing is for certain – we did not betray ourselves and have recorded the very essence of our internal experience, disguising it in florid garments of notes and words.

Search Add 3 Quarter Mile Combo The first full-length cd of Californian rock’n’roll band ¼ Mile Combo was released last year. The guys started the band in 2004, but the lineup (as it is now) became complete two years later, when Nettie Hammar, the lead singer, joined the band. So three years of proper work and here they are: 12 self-penned tracks, played, arranged and recorded in very good quality. Responsible for writing songs are drummer Gary Daly and bass player Todd Jenkins. The lyrics maybe a little bit too serious for “silly” rockabilly. Musically everything is in a good balance. Not too loud, not too noisy, though nothing extraordinary either. Good backing vocals, brilliant addition to strong main female vocal. I wish that Quarter Mile Combo had at least one duet song! The style… Well, American, I guess. Blend of rock’n’roll (most of it), country (slightly) and solid rockin’ sound (psychobilly influence?). In one word - that's what lots of Americans calls “rockabilly” nowadays. “Motels, Gas and Beer”. I like when bands not just pick up the name of the song, but make their own “interpritation” of their creation… it gives extra excitement to find out “why exactly this name?”. In this case I think the band united in it not only list of the songs, but also added their name to it. Travelling, energy, drinking – in other words, rock’n’roll on the road. And, in fact, it does really sound like that! In addition (or better say, conclusion) I want to say that while I was listening to this cd, I had all the time funny feeling. Sometimes I thought “oh, it sounds good, but so boring”. And sometimes, it came like that “wow! Amazing job, I wish we could have more cd’s like that!”. So it would be very interesting to hear your opinion too! Submitted by: kitti. Publication date - 13 January 2010 Copyrights: Rockabilly Bash

After a number of gigs in and around their home quarters of Millawake, Beeshu Records put out their self-titled debut full-length in 1999. During that same year, the releases continued with the EP No Longer Building, before calling it quits a few months afterward.

Search Add 3 Pro-Death PRO-DEATH started in 1994 playing all over Southern California at many underground shows. Through their own funds PRO-DEATH was able to record a self titled CD-R in late 2000 that was sold only at shows. After playing with Mortician at the Whisky A Go Go, PRO-DEATH was able to release a 3 inch CD-R entitled "Drowning in Discord". This album was comprised of mostly Black Ambient tracks and had two live songs from the sold out show with MORTICIAN. This album was also limited and sold only at shows. Through it all Pro-Death always managed to donate all their funds to support the stop of animal testing. PRO-DEATH has been crushing and destroying its audience since 1995 with harsh noise and visuals. With its hatred for humanity they Toured and played with many bands like CATTLE DECAPITATION, MORTICIAN, VADER, PIGFACE, BRUJERIA, ASESINO, IMMOLATION, UPHILLBATTLE, The BERZERKER,IMMOLATION, Strapping Young Lad, DEICIDE and lots of local bands..

Search Add 3 Randy Wayne Sitzler Born in Detroit, Randy has definitely tasted his share of the “blue collar” way of life. Raised by parents who migrated from Tennessee and Alabama, he was immediately exposed to the ways of the south, cornbread and beans, bluegrass and country. At six years old Randy started playing music by strumming along to records by Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and the Beatles. Playing guitar and songwriting quickly became his passion. Randy’s influences are Johnny Cash, Lennon & McCartney, John Mellencamp and Merle Haggard. He credits his mentor, Rick Beresford, for teaching him that songwriting is an art form as well as a craft and must come from the heart. Randy has two CD releases. In 2001 he released “Hard Days in The Heartland” under the DTM label. A powerful recording that takes an intense journey through the heartland of America with songs such as “ The Legacy”, “Blue Collar Redemption”, “Billy Crocker’s House” and the title track, “ Hard Days in The Heartland”. Randy’s latest effort, “Pontiac Trail”, under the Highway 29 Records label, takes a honest look at everyday life and the questions one may have about work, fairness, love and happiness. Skillfully penned songs such as “Got My Feet On The Ground”, “One Of These Days”, Boiling Bones For Stew”, and “ Loretta” will prove that Randy has a clear understanding as to the trials and tribulations of the common man

Search Add 3 EG Vines Eric Vines “Democrat, Republican, it’s written on my face again. This blue and red so black and white, it’s taken over everything!” EG Vines is an artist who leans into the sociopolitical and the release of his latest single, “Them,” is his first chance to release music during a U.S. Presidential election year. The intoxicating division that seems to stay at fever pitch won’t start to tamp down until as a Vines channeling Zack de la Rocha says, we “take the power back!” In a personal sense, Vines took his power back in the fall of 2019 giving his two-week notice to a ten-year career leading energy conservation efforts at a Fortune 500 company in order to tour and focus on songwriting. “Jesus spent 40 days in the desert tempted to give up what he came to earth to do and it took me 10 years in corporate America,” Vines laughs. While the pandemic effectively shut down touring plans for the rest of 2020, Vines used his newly freed time to fine tune and record several singles that point to a full-length record in 2021. A Nashville resident since 2009, Vines says he spent most of the 2010s “drunk, plump and stupid” playing with various rock bands before debuting as a solo artist with 2018 EP Conversation. The full-length follow-up Family Business was released in the fall of 2019 and featured songs in regular rotation on Nashville’s Lightning 100, airplay on XM radio, placements in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Pop Matters and NPR, among others. Drawing comparisons to Neil Young, Jason Isbell and 90s alt-rock acts like Pearl Jam and REM, Vines has developed an eclectic roots rock sound and he aims to approach songwriting from angles less traveled. “Sure, there are plenty of blatant anti-Trump songs – and I might even call him a name in an upcoming song – but I always strive to give people something more than surface level. If I didn’t make you think a bit, I feel like I didn’t do my job.” Look for a steady cadence of singles, videos and potentially cover tunes across the fall before what Vines hopes is plenty of touring in 2021. “The folks that played on this record have been with me for a bit and we’re getting pretty tight. Stay with us and we’ll make sure to give you something special when we’re able to play shows again.”

Search Add 3 Killages Killages is a Georgian alternative hip-hop group from Rustavi, founded in 2016. During their 5 years of activity, the group has undergone several changes in terms of sound - if at first they tried to combine pop, rock, funk and hip-hop - today their sound mainly combines an interesting synthesis of electronic music and hip-hop written in English. In 2017, they became the winners of the Newcomer competition, which gave them the opportunity to introduce their work to wider audiance - this is the period when their famous hit, "ON/OFF" was recorded, which together with 3 additional songs of the group has more than a million streams on various platforms - in total the group's work It collects more than 5 million views annually through YouTube. This paved the way for a completely new stage for the group, during which their audience, in addition to local listeners, grew significantly outside the country. In 2020, the group released their debut album, "Original Brothers", which was recorded with the direct involvement and help of listeners. Since 2021, Killages has been consistently on Spotify's Georgian charts as one of the most listened-to Georgian music projects - and 2 of their songs are featured every month among the 10 most listened-to Georgian compositions. This, of course, soon attracted the attention of the foreign press, and articles were written about them in such international publications as "Wetransfer", "Calvert Journal" and others. As a result, the band has more than 11,000 listeners on Spotify every month, and 70% of them are from outside Georgia.
