Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

This resulted in the Elisha La’verne song titled “Feeling of Life” amongst others. Tony went on to spend time in Atlanta Georgia in the US on a collaboration with Producer/songwriters Sean Sep Hall, Nathan Butler and Singer/Song writer Pink which resulted in the single release of song title “Elisha’s Not At Home” sang by Elisha Laverne. Tony Hearne continued his collaborations in the US working alongside the late singer/songwriter/ producer and musical director Big Jim White (Sounds of Blackness) and Professor T. The collaboration took place in Minneapolis at the famous Flyte Tyme Studios owned and founded by the great Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Whilst there he was introduced to Jimmy Jam who provided him with words of wisdom and advice which helped inspire Tony Hearne during his career in the music industry throughout the years. Tony Hearne enjoyed his time in music not only as an artist/songwriter but also in the later years as a Personal Artist Manager. It enabled him to travel the world, meet and collaborate with a host of people and record companies. He is also adamant that it would not have been possible to achieve without the help of his mentors Maxi Priest and Martin Elliott. |

-------------------------------------------- Hungry Lambs was born when Lucho Cardona, influenced by bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, and Staind, decided to start a band with his school friends. Years later, he revived the project alongside Sebastián Cardona, who brought the power of metal and razor-sharp guitar riffs in the style of Metallica. Daniel Upegui then joined, adding his “secret sauce” through a powerful, Latin-influenced drumming style. Finally, Camilo Henao, with his broad musical knowledge, completed the band with his solid and distinctive bass playing. |

Born from the ashes of other bands including Ice Shits and Knights Road. Initially born as an acoustic duo, he became a trio in 2003 when William Paciotta joined the band as a drummer. | Search | Add | 2 | Gladys Watkins | Gladys Watkins was the first woman carillonist in Australasia and the first woman in the world to record a carillon album. She was the eleventh child born to her parents in Akaroa, New Zealand, and attended Miss Freeman's Ladies' School in Wellington. She remained active in multiple groups in Wellington during and after her years in school, volunteering to be an accompanist and teaching music when she was as young as 17 years old. She was also a member of the Royal Wellington Choral Union and choir at St. Mark's Church where her brother played organ. In the 1920's, Gladys thought about learning to play the carillon with the intent of becoming the official carillonist of the National War Memorial (Te Maharatanga Pakanga o Te Motu), which was in planning stages at the time. In 1929, she received financial support from the Wellington War Memorial Carillon Society to study with Jef Denyn at the Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium for eighteen months, where she also studied with Victor van Geyseghem. She was the first British woman to graduate from the school with distinction, and gave recital tours in Belgium, France, and Holland. In one Dutch town, she became the first woman to ever play the carillon. Her composition "Prelude for Bells" was published by the Dutch Carillon Guild in Vijf Composities voor den Beiaard in 1934, making her the second women to ever publish a carillon score. The newly cast bells for Wellington were set up in Hyde Park, London, for nine months, and during this time, Watkins gave multiple performances that proved "even more popular than the military bands," attracting thousands of listeners. She also recorded four carillon arrangements for His Master's Voice, released in 1930. The HMV Recording Ledgers note that she also recorded "Londonderry air" and "Caller Herrin'" as unreleased test tracks (Downes, 17). The first Bulletin of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America announced the recordings, which were also reviewed in Gramophone. In addition, she gave recitals and teaching at the University of Sydney War Memorial Carillon in December 1930 and approved the advancement of Enid Carpenter as the first woman to serve as Assistant Honorary Carillonist for the university. When the New Zealand War Memorial Carillon was opened on Anzac Day in 1932, she performed at its inauguration with Englishman Clifford Ball. After his departure, she became the first official National Carillonist. She gave a total of 307 recitals from 1932 to 1936 (or over 500 recitals, according to Downes), playing for thousands of people who listened in person and over the radio. She also created many of the arrangements for the automatic mechanism, and a "recital, by automatic player" of those arrangements was held in her memory on Nov. 5, 1939. Along with being a great performer, she was also an avid promoter of the instrument, writing articles and giving talks and interviews. In addition, she composed at least eleven works for carillon, and the National War Memorial Carillon Archives were formed from her collection of press clippings and music manuscripts. Gladys was described as "quiet and unassuming." Don't let this take away from her strongly-held opinions on the carillon. She thought that audiences should listen "not nearer than 200 yards" and in "positions in which [there] is the least traffic" (The NZ Radio Record, Apr. 29, 1932). To her, the carillon was unique in its expression of patriotism and loyalty. Author: Emmet Lewis The above text is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. | |
