Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 The Fourtune-Tellers The Fourtune-Tellers formed 2006 in Stockholm when Andreas Jonsson and Mathias Westerlund joined forces and rented a rehearsal studio for themselves. Andreas took care of the drums while Mathias played guitar and discussions begun on what to name the band, and also what musicians to recruit for the band. They settled quickly for The Fourtune-Tellers and soon Kari Harström was recruited to play drums, and Andreas picked up the 2nd guitar and took care about the vocals. Old time friend Nicklas Olsson, living in Gothenburg but with plans on moving to Stockholm, was invited to play bass guitar. But awaiting Nicklas move, the band had to find a temporary bass player. Soon they asked Peter Rosén from The Moving Sounds to step in, which he did. After the second rehearsal Peter, very inspired and dedicated, asked the other members, "So, what's the plan, am I in or not?". Since Nicklas move seemed to be more talk than action, it was decided that Peter got the job permanently. Their debut EP Voodoo Girl was recorded at Göran Thungströms studio in Sundsvall, Sweden over an weekend, and released on copaseDisques in 2007. The band did several successful drunken gigs all around Europe, playing their own brand of sloppy and energetic neo garage punk. The follow up EP Don't Tell Me The Words was recorded at Real Studio by Per Ängkvist and released on copaseDisques in 2009. Soon after Kari left the band and drummer boy Handsome Hank Högberg joined forces. After a few years also Peter decided to leave the group, feeling being member of two bands was a bit too much and wanted more time for cycling. He played his last gig at Bassy in Berlin 13 February 2010, and was the same night offered a gig with The Fuzztones. Being determined to spend more time on cycling he turned down the offer much to Rudi's disappointment. Either way, the gig was a success and he went out with a BOOM! In came wonder kid Pontus Söderberg, a young man who brought new blood to the group. The sound became somewhat refined, but still keeping the punky edge. The band continued with successful and drunken sprees around Europe, and soon recorded Storm, a song penned by Jens Lindberg and given to the band exclusively. The band had met label mates The X-Ray Harpoons at Summer Safari in Halle, and soon after decided to release a split single, and Storm ended up on The Fourtune-Tellers side. It was released in 2011. In the spring 2012 the band brought in Johan Ullman on Farfisa organ. New recordings took place and the band made a fantastic gig at the PsychWard Club, Oslo, May 5th, which was to be the only live gig Johan played with the band. A month later the band travelled to Moscow for a gig, but Johan was left at home due to troubles getting the visa. It was a chaotic gig, although it went down well the band was sort of exhausted. In august 2012, due to different circumstances, Pontus felt it was time to move on to other projects, and the band went on hiatus. A gig was scheduled at Landet, Stockholm, March 16th 2013. But the gig was cancelled. Search Add 3 Les Masochats Electronic project by French DJ, producer, and POF Music owner Fred Giteau and Serbian producer Dr. Vaki, active in 1998-99. Assisted by a guitarist and a percussionist, Les Masochats produced a full album in 1998, that was eventually released in 2023. The name "Les Masochats" is a French-Serbian word-play. Fred Giteau’s first wife and mother of his daughter Yelena was nicknamed "Maca" or "Maso" ("cat" in Serbian). Fred added the French equivalent "Chats" to form "Les Masochats" (cat-cat), a direct reference to the romantic musical film "Les Aristochats" (The Aristocats). The duo produced music with a simple keyboard and Cubase at Vaki’s room studio. Percussion and guitar were played and recorded live, and later technically processed. The style of Les Masochats is a mixture of techno, groovy and rhythmic claps that break and restart, bongos, and guitars reminiscent of S.U.N. Project. Some tracks incorporate riffs of traditional Serbian music.

When he was in pubic school, the music director guided Longdo through music and singing lessons. “He told me while some are gifted in paint or art, I was gifted in voice. He took a great interest in me and my life started before I knew it. I was on stage more as a child than I was the first 10 years of my career. They pushed me and I loved it.” At 18, he started playing piano and discovered opera. “That’s when I took a serious interest in my own voice and music and took lessons through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.”

Search Add 3 Phonic Psychomimesis Phonic Psychomimesis was conceived at the fall of 2009 in Riga, by two course-mates of philosophy studies who united their will to create an experimental works of sound. The participants of the project are confederates hardcore reflecting on the sound art - they come together irregularly to work on specific topics. The duo pays close attention to various strange sound details of objects and occurences that inhabit our everyday life and space around us - both associatively independent from their materialistic origins or simply vivid and special audio marginalities, viewing them as separate beings and enjoying their sonic autonomy. Guys are perceiving the beauty of these sounds exactly in their intangibility and, in order to experience them as long as possible, they seek to adopt them and to produce an ideally fixed, finite loop similar to gif image. Phonic Psychomimesis are using the zoom of their hearing, makes a sonic autopsy, removing the sounds out of their surroundings and inspecting them separately under the magnifying glass. Project works with the imaginative analysis of sound, focusing on constructing unreal audio situations where the result of the synthesis of different records has rather purely aesthetically grasped identity than empirically descriptive and documenting side. There are dense compositions made, where the thick structures of sound leaves a very tiny space for conceptually stimulated emotional atmospheres. The title of the project should be understood as a mimetic imitation of basic-atoms of psychical conditions via sound. In the theories of mind psychomema is an analogue for semema or the core element of the meaning in semantics.

Search Add 3 N. Patrick Williams Conneaut, Ohio 1967-68 Hailing from the community of Conneaut, at the very northeast corner of Ohio on Lake Erie, N. Patrick Williams didn't really have the people and resources to create a teen band scene, so he became a full on DIY mastermind who wrote, sang, produced, and released some excellent and unique garage rock 45s in 1968. On his first 45, recorded early in 1968, he hooked with a short lived band from Conneaut called the Inner Prism and recorded "Bad Seed", an intense tale of debauchery brought on by a cheating girlfriend, with the classic shout out "All right man, here's my life!". Williams put together a second recording session a few months later, using a couple local musicians, and cut the anti drug "Bearded Peddler", the anti war "Sirens of War", and the moody downer "Tears I Lost For You", all just as intense, and slightly unhinged, as the 1st 45. He recorded one more 45 at the end of 1968, under the name of "The Sound Of N. Patrick Williams" which was much more low key. Those were the last released recordings of Williams. Discography: (45) Bad Seed / Someday Tomorrow - Confederate no #, April 1968 (45) Bearded Peddler / Little Girl - Confederate #1,  July 1968 (45) Sirens Of War / Tears I Lost For You - Confederate #2,  July 1968 (45) Down Where Devils Play / Don't Be Afraid To Cry - Confederate #5, late 1968
