Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 7 Upsetting Keys Reade Truth & Jake Reif Emerging from deep within the depths of the Brooklyn underground, Upsetting Keys seeks to inform, to educate and inundate. This time they are armed with emotional, unknown electronic structures that originated back in the late 90s. The audio sculptures presented on this release specifically pass somewhere in a shape between total art form and other, much more subliminal and subdued opaque constructs. Upsetting Keys, a name whispered privately by elite DJ's around the world, is a timeless example of the electronic underground. The project, initially trapped in an era where dull throw-away concepts dominated techno culture, can now freely present their unusual techniques; which involved impossible sampling, maniacal rhythms and infectious melodic content, all of which lay waste to those past aesthetics.

The billing on her debut solo single, “Don’t Ask Me To Love Again,” is: “Ann Bogus of the Fabulous Dominoes", nobody would hear from her for another four years. In 1974, she got a deal with 20th Century. With producer/drummer Joseph Wilson and his “Faux Noir” band, and now calling herself Annie Blue, she cut “Bottle Of Wine” b/w “Lay Me Down,” and then in 1975, “Do You Wanna Do A Thing” b/w “Loving Kind of Woman.”

Search Add 7 Last Day with My Garbage While initial contact of this filthy duo dates back to as early as 2012, K. Geiger & J. Nielsen would not begin experimenting with improvised electronics until the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the world in 2020. Early configurations of these jams were fluid in terms of members coming in and out of the fold, and it would not be until one fateful Garbage Day Eve in August 2021 that the core duo would officially adopt the name "Last Day with My Garbage." Perhaps it was a cosmic connection to the filth of the world; an absurdist way to discuss mankind's uncertain future at the time. Maybe it was just too much San Luca's that influenced the choice. Ever since that day though, recordings and performances have been centered around garbage of the mind, body and soul. Confusion will light the way to understanding. The listener contributes just as much as the performer. "All of it is filth" is not just a throwaway line; it is the Mantra of Garbage; Gogmer lives inside all of us. In 2025, Last Day with My Garbage, on behalf of Garbage for America, LLC (a subdivision of the Sisters Corporation), launched their grassroots campaign, entitled "When They Take Your Garbage." The campaign's main focus is to raise awareness on the yearly decrease of municipal waste output across the United States of America, exposing the AFSCME as the sole benefactor in the secret war on trash.

Search Add 7 Cosmo Fraser Cosmo Fraser is not your typical reggae singer/recording artist. From Westmoreland, a Jamaican Parish near Negril Beach, Cosmo's route to recording reggae came via a totally different route than most of the island's historic artists. It began like the careers of American soul artists: Stevie Wonder, Carl Carlton, Darrow Fletcher, Lucky Peterson, Gladys Knight, Michael Jackson, and other child prodigies, which Fraser most definitely was, but neither he nor his parents pursued or pushed him towards music. Though he won amateur contests all over the island as a child and had the goods of an exciting entertainer, he instead, at the age of 19, came to America to further his education. He holds multiple bachelor degrees from Columbia University and a medical degree from the State University of New York -- not your typical reggae singer by any stretch of the imagination; and he's not just sitting on the med. degree, he's a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and Chief of Geriatric Nephrology at the VA Medical Center in the Bay Area, and makes all encompassing reggae music as well -- again, not your typical reggae singer. The renown biomedical researcher, a.k.a. the Singing Doctor, has found the time to cut two albums to date: Reggae Music Man (a compilation done with fellow doctors) on Daktari Records (1995) and Fire This Time, his solo debut for Ruff Stuff Records (originally on Ginger Girl) released in 1998. Like any significant reggae singer, songs of social justice and injustice are a part of his repertoire, yet it's hard to picture Fraser leading a rebellion. He performs all over California and different venues and on reggae television specials; he travels to Canada to be part of their lauded Urban Fests and garners other choice gigs -- when you're not starving you can be picky. An enthusiastic entertainer, Fraser often jumps off the stage and boogies with the audience; his most popular opening number is a dancehall version of "Mission Impossible." In addition to singing, Fraser's an accomplished songwriter and writes most of his material.

Mikko (Kärkkäinen) found his way to the band in the autumn of 2000. We have played a lot of gigs, gained experience and audience in the same time...e.g. Tammerfest-99, Tulliklubi, Woodblock-99/-00, YO-talo...etc. Live CrappyClown is energetic, aggressive...the stage is a riot. CrappyClown won the Woodblock 2000 band contest, which was judged by musicians and record company representatives from Tampere, a small victory, but it gave a lot of confidence and enthusiasm to go even harder." 1998 - 2002

Search Add 7 Wermod Indebted to the radiophonic pioneers of yore and the last grasps of summer holidays that bridged that brief moment between primary and secondary schools, Wermod (Wormwood) is Wales’s first séance psych band. Channelling the recently re-discovered recordings of a seldom heard regional quartet made in 1975, Wermod’s influences range from the avant garde works of Dennys Irving to the eerie soundtrack of Picnic at Hanging Rock. Wermod create electronically altered hauntology tone poems that hark back to the imagined past’s futures which have yet to materialise. This is the sound of half-hummed electronic folk songs to Wales’ unclaimed Utopia.

His first approach to turntables in the mid 80s was heavily influenced by many styles such as disco, soul, funk, Chicago house, synthpop, new beat and acid house. Techno from Germany and Detroit joined the list a couple of years later when Luis started a few club residencies around Buenos Aires. The foundation of mythical Urban Groove Djs collective in 1994 was a relevant milestone in his career. With highlights producing the first massive rave parties in the country and running experimental after hours Club K-Dos, they stimulated an eager, growing electronic music audience. As a member of Urban Groove Luis opened the prodigy and Kraftwerks shows, held memorable 7 turntables sessions and shared the dj booth with the likes of Daniel Bell, Ricardo Villalobos and DJ Hell. At that time he began his now frequent visits to Brazil thanks to the Rave Sudamericana Network. After quitting Urban Groove, with fellow ex-member Miguel silver they conceived the powerful duo spitfire in 2001. Luis also holds a monthly residency at Nicetos popular Club 69 and regularly plays across Argentina and Brazil. His sets combine underground influences from the past with newer ones, from old skool to deep house and all sorts of techno, everything tapped in real time to vindicate the value of technique. Either as Spitfire or on his own, over the last years he's performed alongside artists like Carl Cox, Colin Dale, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills and Dave Angel, to name a few. As a producer hes released on different labels including usas strictly rhythm and also works in a project together with Leo Portela, aka Index, under the moniker of default, featured in the Hypno series vol. 2: Spitfire Dj set on Brazilian label URBR. From 1950s to 70s she made some private LP reissues from her collection, mostly with Edward J. Smith. Also, she even provided some of Mapleson Cylinders that were missing from the NYPL's collection.
