Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 7 3:6 Philly "3:6 Philly was originally formed around 1987, their first release came out via Camden based label Zoom Records in 1992. The band line up was Jase (Chris Fairman) vocals, Gea (Gea Russell) vocals & production and DJ Delite (Ray Francis) DJ & production. The Nottingham based trio was often described as an experimental hip hop band for that period, choosing to sample obscure jazz and rare ska records as a base for their tracks. Their (US style, shrink wrapped) debut promo E.P included tracks 'Those Flags Offend Me' and 'Three kryed Rape' with alternative mixes, instrumentals and a dub track entitled 'Kingston 12'. This began an underground buzz that steadily grew following the bands first official release of 'Those Flags Offend Me' 12". Critically acclaimed for its infectious jazz break, fronted with some socially conscious yet poignant lyrics. The follow up 12" 'Funky Alcohol' b/w 'The World Still Turns' also became a minor classic and was lorded by prominent DJs and the press alike. Notorious for giving outstanding live performances sometimes with the aid of a full backing band, which was quite rare on the UK hip hop scene at that time, they were also as impressive with just two MC's and a DJ which was the lineup that played the opening night of 'The Alley' underneath the Rock Garden in Covent Garden, London hosted by Jerry Dammers and Dermot Smyth. This became a seminal venue for cutting edge hip hop acts around 92 & 93. 3:6 Philly toured the UK sharing stages with acts such as Blade, Hijack and US bands Spearhead and Tim Dog. Their schedule also included the odd TV appearance like their slot on Channel 4's 'Naked City' performing 'Grave Digger' a track that was scheduled to be the next single but was subsequently never released. During the following period the band worked at completing their album. They were granted development time at Island studios and had sessions with among others producer Howie B. However by this time the core element that made the sound of 3:6 Philly so original was being pulled in too many directions. The album was never completed, leaving a reasonable body of work that still remains unreleased." - from bands myspace site.

Search Add 7 Terrazza Büke Yolaçan TERRAZZA blends Melodic House influences in eccentric way. Born in Turkey and based in Finland, TERRAZZA is a multitalented electronic music producer who has been in the scene more than 15 years. His interest in electronic music started to experiment with progressive house but soon he discovered ability to create his own tracks and that was the beginning of his interest in musical production. He further developed skills on his own and entered to music competitions. Since then, he has taken over the decks both single-handedly and B2B with other DJs at various clubs and outdoor events in Finland, playing genres from tech house to more melodic house. In recent years however, he has found a passion in melodic house music, and is ambitious about spreading the love for deeper sounds. He has worked on many productions since then and the turning point in his musical career was a possibility to distribute his own tracks through record labels. That opened a way for him to the wider audience. TERRAZZA's debut single Costa Del Sol is the most known track of him. Get ready for a deep journey in landscapes based on dark and deep melodic sounds that give a character sound of elegance.

Search Add 7 The Sundae Train Formed in 1965 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, the band was known as the Avantis before adopting the more whimsical-sounding name Sundae Train. Personnel consisted of chief conductor Joel Cherry, Bill Gheen, John Morgan, Galen Ramsey and Steve Fecker. The Joel Cherrypenned ³Love Affair² is an exciting build-and-release composition that clearly displays the talents of a up-and-coming songwriter with serious potential. ³Sing Sweet Barbara² is a sadly- forgotten Margo, Margo, Medress & Siegel effort that begs the obvious question: why didn¹t this record become a huge hit? The band¹s other single was released on the 20th Century label. ³Wake Up (Sleepy Girl)² b/w ³I Wanna Be² was co-produced by Dave Appell and Joe Tarsia and has stellar production flourishes that enhance the solid pop songcraft. The band later recorded one single, ³Pamela² (b/w same) as simply The Train, and released this Tokensco-produced recording on the Avco Embassy label. Credited to Arnold and Alfred Infanzon of the Canterbury Music Festival, the tune was long thought to be a CMF recording. Latter-day Sundae Train drummer Steve Fecker remembers the mysterious ³Pamela² recording session: ³We went down to the Ed Sullivan Theatre (where the Tokens had their offices) and I don¹t remember if we actually recorded in that building, or if we went somewhere else. But I do remember standing around the mic and singing harmonies with the Tokens, and that was really exciting. For me, it was as exciting as being there with the Beatles or somebody, you know? That was Joel singing lead on ŒPamela.¹² (This recording of "Pamela" can be heard as a bonus track on Canterbury Music Festival's "Rain and Shine" CD, released on Rev-Ola earlier this year.) In 1972, the Sundae Train ran out of fuel and morphed into Road Apple, a band that included future Starbuck keyboardist David Shaver. Today, Joel Cherry is Tanya Tucker¹s attorney/manager. After the demise of Road Apple, Steve Fecker went back to college and returned to Sunbury, where he currently works for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Search Add 7 Marc Osmate Marc Osmate Marc Osmate is a Dutch Hardcore techno producer and performer, living in Russia. Marc Osmate is the founder of Platinoids. His style is typified by a fast tempo (120bpm-180bpm), and the rhythmic use of distorted, industrial-like beats. The music is aleatoric, and not atonal, instead of industrial hardcore. Marc Osmate writes all the plug-ins he uses by himself, and writes the music for his own enjoyment and the pleasure of innovation. In 1999, his musical career was started when he started a small company which sold plug-ins for Music software, and soundscapes for movies and video-games. While testing this plug-ins in combination with the sounds he made, Osmate found out that making music with home-made software was relaxing and inspiring. Inspired by combining electronics and sound, he started to build synthesizers and sequencers. After years of engineering and exploring techniques, suddenly there was music. In 2008 he decided to start a label to bring his music to the world, and that’s when Platinoids was born.

He also enjoyed a degree of success on the theatre front, writing a musical and a couple of plays, one of which was serialized on regional BBC radio. 1998 also saw the release of his solo debut album, Spirit Within, on the Luton-based 33 Records for whom he still records, followed, in 2006, by the stripped down acoustic Roll Back the Years.

Search Add 7 Waked Lunch Waked Lunch is the side-project of Rosemary Haskins. Born from the ventromedial prefrontal cortex of the brain, Waked Lunch is an experimental project that utilizes atmospheric sounds, samplers, strings, and other more common instruments such as drums, guitar, and synths. Inspired by William Burroughs and Angelo Badalamenti, the music is dark and melancholy, though somewhat frenzied, and often edited using Burroughs' writing technique "the Cut-Up Method." Waked Lunch was birthed, after Rosemary worked on experimental jazz saxophonist Steve Mackay's, (of Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Violent Femmes, Radon Ensemble, etc. notoriety), latest album, "Sometimes Like This I Talk" Engineering these sessions, along with sessions with "the Queen of Noise," Leslie Keffer, introduced Rosemary to a completely different world... a world outside of the more mainstream, but ever still "indie," rock, pop , and Americana music Rosemary had been not only writing and recording herself, but also producing and engineering for other bands of the same or similar genres. Waked Lunch is the next outlet, a huge outlet, that allows Rosemary to step way outside of the boxes she had previously housed her musical talents in. Though Rosemary is the primary composer for Waked Lunch, she also enlists the help of her best friend, and multi-instrumentalist Josh Esref Guntel. Josh, like Rosemary, is from Nashville, TN. He has been playing and writing music since he was a kid, and is proudly of Turkish descent. Josh plays numerous instruments, including the piano, organ, synthesizer, guitar, bass, cumbus, drums, percussion and more. Josh has the rare ability to pick up virtually any instrument, and begin playing it, without prior lessons or knowledge of the instrument, making him an invaluable asset for the Waked Lunch project. Rosemary and Josh have been in several different bands together in the past, covering more traditional genres like rock, pop, electro, and americana. You can find a lot of info on the different bands they have played in at the official websites for WaterWorks Entertainment and Black Label Empire. https://www.waterworksentertainment.com https://www.blacklabelempire.com A live Waked Lunch show, is a bit unique, in that they almost always play to film. They regularly use film projectors to display various video art, and sometimes clips from movies they have scored to. All of the sound is engineered by Rosemary via her own mixing board, and then a stereo out is run to the front of house. This allows Rosemary to have complete control over the sounds Waked Lunch uses, and is an integral part of the live shows. Though sometimes a solo performance, with Rosemary, exclusively, Waked Lunch often have local musicians join into their live shows. This allows for a more "experimental" show, as it is all completely unrehearsed and spontaneous... it's what makes every Waked Lunch show different from the last. If you are looking for something just a bit different, with influences of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Yo La Tengo, Mogwai, and Nine Inch Nails, with a hint of soundtrack, new-age, space-age music, Waked Lunch is just the dish you've always wanted to order!
