Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | The Defending Champions | The Defending Champions | It’s hard to pinpoint just when the seven musical titans that now form The Defending Champions became a band. If you’ve ever listened to their music, you might think that they are telepathic septuplets, born to play each note you are hearing, chosen to lead a legendary convention of life-loving citizens. In truth, they are a bunch of friends who have been connected through the years by an overwhelming desire to write solid music and entertain the hell out of people. Sometime in the year 2007, Matt Ryan and Dean Nevolis, after having been in the same band together since puberty, dissembled their childhood group and joined forces with longtime band-mate, saxophonist Matthew Schoenebaum. Together with drummer Shawn Fichtner, bassist Eric Swiontkowski, trumpeter Jovan Alvarez, and percussionist Dave DeRiso, they form The Defending Champions. Composing with their ears bent to the righteous stylings of soul, ska and gypsy music, and held fast by rock’n’roll, the band is allowed enormous room to impact all those ready to dance and be captivated. They’ve been enjoyed throughout the Tri-State area: performing at such venues as Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, Yogi Berra Stadium, Maxwell’s, Kenny’s Castaways, Knitting Factory, Bitter End, Stanhope House and Rockwood Music Hall. Announced by Jersey Rock Review as “…what is needed in popular music today,” and, in their own words, writing music “intended for the mobilization of the human,” The Defending Champions are what you’ve wanted to hear but didn’t know was sonically possible: better music for the best life. |

Search | Add | 3 | The Fireside Wake | Andy Dalton | The Fireside Wake is an amalgam of musical styles pushed through the lens of high-energy rock & roll. All words and music are written and performed by a single Michigander. The debut album is 15 years in the making. Songwriting began in 2003, and recording began in 2013. Initially, the idea was to track a few songs to listen to personally. The project snowballed into an 19 song, 97 minute musical exploration. Disparate genres have been juxtaposed into one cohesive whole with one main element in common: the singular songwriter/performer. A very special private Digital Release Listening Party and Live Event was held on 12/21/19. Many people came and were treated to free booze, free food, an album art gallery, and a live solo interpretation of select songs from the album. A live band is currently being assembled and trained to bring this behemoth to life as accurately as possible. March 1st - March 31st, 2021, a Crowdfunding campaign ensued to finance the manufacturing of CD and Vinyl. Physical copies of the CD were made available 10/1/21. Vinyl pressings were made available 7/1/22 after many unforeseen setbacks. They do, however, look gorgeous and sound great. With the state of Live Music still a giant question mark, it's hard to say whether the Vinyl will get a proper release show any time soon. There are currently 3 ways to stay up to date with developing information: the official website www.TheFiresideWake.com, the official Facebook Page, and the email list (be sure to sign up from the home page). |

As a live-performance artist & multi-instrumentalist he plays violin, piano, and his greatest love – guitar. At age of five Frano held his first solo classical guitar concert at the Music Academy of Zagreb. Frano has won several international competitions in music theory and classical guitar. So far he has performed more than three hundred times at various events, concerts, festivals, TV shows and radio broadcasts, and organized and participated in charity projects. At age of eight he finished elementary & middle music school with excellent success and honors. He was probably the youngest in the world to perform Vivaldi’s Chamber Concerto in D-major RV93 at that age. Also, that was the time he performed first time with his greatest hero – Mr. Tommy Emmanuel, CGP. Their first joint performance occurred in the biggest Croatian national concert hall Vatroslav Lisinski in Zagreb (Croatia), after which they appeared in the concert hall Brucknerhaus in Linz (Austria), Teatro Rossetti in Trieste (Italy) and Philharmonie am Gasteig in Münich (Germany). Later they did many more shows together and Frano as special guest joined Mr. Emmanuel German tour 2016/2017. where they toured across Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg. At his 10th birthday, Frano had a huge honor to be a part of a guitar orchestra and play with the famous Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ: William Bill Kanengiser, John Dearman, Matthew Greif & Scott Tennant), performing Shingo Fujii’s “Shiki: Seasons of Japan”, in Nürtingen (Germany). At age of ten, Frano published his first release as a solo guitarist called “It’s a Secret”, featuring his original compositions. So far Frano already played with, toured or being opening act for international music super-stars such as 2Cellos, Al di Meola, Tommy Emmanuel, John Scofield, Kiefer Sutherland, Manfred Mann, Kaki King, Corrado Rustici & Zucchero, Canned Heat, Ten Years After, Mother’s Finest, Ian Paice and many more. As youngest member of national composer’s society, Frano won “Rudolf and Margita Matz” award for extraordinary talented young composers. One of the highest honors Frano received is original “Yellow Mouse” guitar given to him by Tommy Emmanuel CGP during Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, 2018. Year before Frano played Scotty Moore’s (Elvis Presley’s lead guitarist) guitar at the convention’s final evening concert. At age of fourteen, Frano was graduated from music high school – theoretical department, performed his original “Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra” with Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, and continues to develop as a composer and arranger while performing worldwide. |

Search | Add | 3 | Spirit, Inc. | Spirit, Inc. was an ecumenical youth group organized in 1970 by Thomas A. Downs, a religious education coordinator for the Catholic Diocese of Davenport, Iowa. Although the group was inspired by the non-profit organization Up With People, Spirit, Inc. was Downs’ own invention. At the peak of its popularity in the early 1970s, Spirit, Inc. had between 70 and 80 members with a waiting list. The current membership is reported to be in the 20s. Founder Tom Downs began several similar groups, including a young Indiana-based vocal ensemble known as The We Together Singers, who released an album on the Staff record label around the same time Spirit, Inc. released their "Alive" LP on the same label. Several other offshoot groups were organized by people who borrowed Downs’ idea. Spirit, Inc. appears to be one of the few such groups which is still active.

Search | Add | 3 | Farawisa | Farawisa was established in Vienna in 2017 with the goal in mind to create its own interpretation of heathen Metal. The concept is deeply rooted in Norse mythology and Old Icelandic literature whereas the driving force was from the start to evoke these old stories. The lyrics are without exception kept in Old Norse, the language spoken in Scandinavia from the early Viking Age on to late Medieval times. The Name Farawisa itself derives from an even older language, Proto Norse, which was the predecessor of Old Norse. It translates to "the one with dangerous knowledge" and refers to a rune master, or someone who understands the meaning of the runes and the (dangerous) magic they possess. The music is dominated by ice cold riffs, melancholic leads and atmospheric keyboards, rounded down by a versatile vocal performance which ranges from Black Metal typical high pitched screams to epic chanting, and various facettes inbetween.

Search | Add | 3 | Rysque | Dawn McGhee | When she’s not in the recording studio, acting, producing music, or directing films, Rysque plays an even bigger role. She’s mother, daughter, friend, activist and writer. Reared in Dallas, Texas and the youngest of 14 grandchildren; by age three, she had appeared in local commercials for ButterKrust Bread and Foremost Ice Cream. Being the daughter of southern pioneer actor and civil rights activist, she was motivated and participated in various activities. She earned a creative writing scholarship to University of Houston and was faced with many challenges. She continued to push through, graduating college early, earning a Master’s degree by age 22, all while participating in political and community affairs, in addition to learning the arts. "My varied background made me strong and is the reason I wear so many hats today." says Rysque. By hats, she consults indie companies, produces music and films, and does occasional acting. She has appeared in independent film releases. |

Search | Add | 3 | Dave Drennon | A veteran of the Branson, Missouri "opry" scene, bandleader Dave Drennon was the first country artist to record for the Springfield-based American Artists label, which documented many of the Ozarks-area regional musicians of the 1970s. He and his wife Dee Drennon, split off from her family's Branson revue (The Presley Mountain Music Jamboree) and started their own venue in the early 1970s, the Crossroads Auditorium in Nixa, Missouri, near Springfield. A few years later, in 1975 they pulled up stakes again and moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where they opened a 900-seat venue called the Pine Mountain Jamboree. The Drennons ran Pine Mountain as a family business for over thirty years, eventually selling it to a fellow Bransonite, Mike Bishop, in 2006.
