Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Insane Slave | The Insane Slave is a rock band from Oporto city (Portugal) formed in 2008. Characterized by an original sound and a “rockipolar” personality, they’re inspired by an entire musical universe and settle their vital pillars on the “rock n'rollesque” philosophy. After hitting the road in 2010 setting foot on several stages and winning a considerable number of garage band contests, in 2011 they released their first record, "The Night Rider EP", which earned them appreciable reviews by the national and international press, as well as a tour from North to South of the country, and the first incursion beyond borders, in the cities of London and Northampton in England. February 2018 marks the return of The Insane Slave with the release of their first "Long Play". The homonymous album recorded in the studios of Raising Legends and produced by André Matos, was conceived with a conceptual theme, where along the 10 tracks that compose the album the story of Jack (the insane slave) uncurls as if it were a book. The Insane Slave are: Freddie on Drums, André on Bass, Alex on Guitar and César on Guitar and Voice. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Music Buddies | Erik: bass guitar TJ: guitar, vocals Derek: drums Taken from their release page: "Nobody can remember the exact origin but we think the band name came from a relative of Erik’s, who said it as a quaint diminutive as he left for practice with a previous band—“Oh, are you off to practice with your music buddies?” The three of us (Erik, TJ, and I) were living in a group house in Kalamazoo, between bands and dutifully enrolled at the local college, when he shared that anecdote. Guffaws were had. When we learned that TJ had a notebook full of lyrics devoted to how various scenesters had done him right and/or very wrong, it seemed a bygone conclusion: we had a name, we had a unified purpose, we had instruments and a basement and post-adolescent malaise and thus, we had a band. The Music Buddies was born. We were around from late fall of 1996 into the spring of 1997. We practiced a handful of times, usually late evening affairs that felt a lot like I’d imagine my dad’s Thursday night bowling league felt. We maybe played two shows—one a vegan potluck, the other at the legendary Comet Cafe. Somehow we were the subject of an intense, one-sided label bidding war that cooled only because we wouldn’t cede to Charles’ demands that we change our name to “Bacne.” We also recorded a demo with Ian, which he kindly helped us to mix in preparation for the either digital or lathe cut version you might be listening to right now." | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Ghost Note Project | Funk / Jazz 5-piece from Thessaloniki, Greece, formed in 2007. Asklipios Zambetas (guitar), Christos Tsaprazis (bass) and Giorgos Tolios (drums) came together in 2009, forming the core of a new group and experimenting with instrumental musical forms. The members of the group Trypes (Zambetas and Tolios) and Xylina Spathia (Tsaprazis) were soon developing a style that blended rock, funk and psychedelic, sometimes treading a fine line between jazz and ethnic. As their musical ideas matured, the first recording sessions were held at Rough Studios in Thessaloniki, where the three musicians were joined by a large number of friends and colleagues, each leaving his personal stamp on the final result: Evgenia Patika (piano, keyboards), Mihalis Vrettas (violin), Chrysanthos Christodoulou (synths, electronics), Stefanos Lazarinos (sax), Giorgos Avramidis (trumpet), Yiannis Marinos (trombone), Georgia Dagaki (Cretan lyre), Elias Aifantis (keyboards), Nikos Magnisalis (flute and percussion) and Izabela Zambeta (vocals). As the recording sessions proceeded, the group began to assume its final form, being joined by new members Kostas Papachristos (trumpet, piano), a member of Skaribas, and Christos Trypsianis (synths, electronics). The recording and mix in the studio, was made under the supervision of producer Christos Megas. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Surfoniani | Surf trio from Turin Italy. Reverb out of limits, wild bikini, tiki possessed and dirty rock 'n' roll! The Surfoniani are a surf music trio, devoted to the most reverberated sonorities of the Sixties. They came from Turin (Italy): Giamba on the guitar, Fra on the upright bass and Tony on the drums. They were born in 2005 from the former punk rock band Funny Extasy that animated the night in Turin in the past years. In 2008 Matteo replaced Hermann and The Surfoniani played at the “Surfer Joe Summer Festival” and again in 2010, when they also opened the Los Straitjackets concert in Alessandria. The autumn of the same year, Herman came back and with him on the drums they played once again at the “Surfer Joe” fest opening the concert for another great band: Tito & Tarantula. At the beginning of 2014 Tony, bass player in the bands Ponches and Kelvins, two great bands of the Turin punk rock scene, took his place on the drums. With him, the number of live concerts increased and they consolidated their musical richness, distinguished by the drums and double bass strong rhythm section where Giamba's wild guitar find its perfect place. The Surfoniani also have an acoustic project called “Street Version” that gives them the chance to play in any situation using portable amplifiers and a minimal drums with great sound results that recall the Polynesian atmosphere. Besides participating in the already mentioned events, The Surfoniani played in many concerts in Piedmont, Lombardy and Liguria. At the end of 2015, the band walked into the studio and recorded the tracks for their debut album. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Gilt The Lily | Gilt the: lily defined :: Beneath the pain, the sadness, and all the layers of armor that we carry everyday, rests the lily. It may be the one thing in life that we try so hard to keep alive, but keep hidden from everyone else, or it may survive to hold our dreams and our deepest fears. What is your lily? What is your prize? What holds your blame? The music is an answer to the seemingly unchanging reality of life, love, and hate. Pollinate; spread the word. Plant the seed; watch it grow. Formed from humble beginnings, in the shadow of a growing central New England city, the breakthrough rock quintet Gilt The Lily is peeling back the layers of human nature. Through emotional lyrics, floating and inflicting guitars, technically infused drumming, and solid bass lines they feed the release of a sound that must be heard. In the summer of 2002 the group entered the studio to record their debut album. An extensive recording process ensued as the band produced and financed the album on their own. Overcoming set backs and economic hardship, the band prevailed with an album which serves as a testament of their unwavering dedication to their music. Easily shifting from lulling, somber compositions, to relentless and uncompromising aural assaults, Gilt the Lily is generating music for the masses. Feeding on crowds of all sizes with their energetic stage presence, the five members’ diverse styles embody a sound that is unmistakably their own. Inherent to all life is the music that moves us. - giltthelily.com | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Michelle Hemmer | Cincinnati-based singer/songwriter Michelle Hemmer blends rich harmony, relatable verse and powerhouse vocals to create a poppy, folk-rock Americana sound. Drawing on influences, such as Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, The Indigo Girls and Sheryl Crow, Michelle’s music feels right at home on your classic rock playlist, as well as your coffeehouse mix. On June 9, 2020, Michelle released her first new music in over ten years, an EP titled, Ballerina. The soaring strings, savage guitar solos and seismic cymbal crashes of opener "So Strong" set the stage for an album that takes you from fist-pumping rock to contemplative acoustic bliss with it’s finale “Too Late.” In 2010, she released the album titled, Beautiful Seconds. Beautiful Seconds bursts to life with bright and breezy acoustic tunes ("Just Drive", "Oh Yeah"), electric anthems ("I Forget Sometimes", “Easier"), visceral ballads ("6:35", "Find a Way") and alt-country ditties ("These Days", "Sorry Doesn’t Cut It Anymore") perfect for a long, summer drive with the top down. Other works from Michelle Hemmer include: Michelle Lynn - a lush and masterful exploration of relationships. (released under artist name Michelle Lynn) Another Round - a vocal harmony-filled thrill ride. (released under artist name Dakota) Guess What - a rock-pop fusion. (released under artist name Dakota) Michelle is hard at work writing songs for her next album and performing regularly around Cincinnati as both a solo act and member of The Duo-Jetts. | |
