Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | A-Tack | A-Tack is the first Hip-Hop group to come out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It consisted of DJ, emcee, and producer DJ Peechy (later shorted to Peech), DJ Special K, and emcee T.A. Wiz. They released a couple of singles, each getting 200-300 pressings. They recorded a handful songs and performed local shows in the mid-late 80's. They are credited as pioneers who opened the doors for other artists and groups in Milwaukee, such as Kidd Crab, DJ Blade, MIDI, 20/20 Boys, Kali Tribe, Strick Luv, Female DSC, all of them having collaborated with DJ Peechy. T.A. Wiz, a highly respected and influential emcee, was later senselessly murdered in cold blood. Peech traveled to Atlanta, changed his stage name to Speech, and started the multi-platinum, Grammy award winning Hip-Hop collective, Arrested Development, who still actively record and tour to this day. He also has a successful solo career, wrote the book "What Is Success?", and starred in the film 16 Bars. Special K joined Speech and served as Arrested Development's production manager and DJ, and produced some of their songs in the 90's. Special K now goes by DJ Kemit and is a successful producer and touring DJ. | |

As engagements became more and more frequent, the group decided to recruit a bassist in the person of Jean Cloutier; a fifth member was added in Rémi Clark. The time had come for a first recording session; they recorded ten pieces and their LP was released, one with a French cover while the other had an English cover. A first in Quebec! Michel Wilson then gave way to Denis Lapierre. A first 45 was released in September 1964 with the pieces Oh lonesome me and Last night. In March 1965, the Versatiles recorded a 2'nd and final single: Pauvre diable and Bolide X 16. In the fall of 1965, the Versatiles gave their last shows

| Search | Add | 6 | Happy Tony | Anthony Frank Karvaski | Happy Tony (AKA Wesoły Antek), whose real name was Anthony Frank Karvaski, first gained fame for his unbridled vocals for Stanky and his Pennsylvania Coal Miners, before performing and recording with his own Coal Diggers, whose core membership also included Mike Yalch (saxophone), Al Walker (bass), and Richie Yalch (accordion). The son of an actual coal miner, Tony was born in Nanticoke, PA, in 1929, and ran away from home at the age of nine. He was judged “incorrigible” and sentenced to “Kis-Lyn,” the Luzerne County Industrial School for Boys. In 1950 he was sentenced to prison for two counts each of armed robbery and auto theft. In 1960, Tony was convicted of the armed robbery of the Polish-American Club in Nanticoke. Upon release in 1962, Tony underwent an unsuccessful corneal transplant operation (there are reports of a prior boxing career as “Tony Kaye”). At the eye hospital, Tony met his future wife, Mary Carfago, who’d had the same operation. In 1965, Tony was treated for a cataract in his other eye, but sadly, was now legally blind. Tony had studied Polish in prison (his father had emigrated from Poland) and sang in Polish with Stanky’s band and then his own, making several LP recordings in the late 1960s. While continuing his music career, Tony enrolled in college, beginning at Luzerne County Community College, then transferring to Kings College, and earning a BA in Sociology in 1972, the year after his wife had passed away. Leaving the music profession behind, he became the Coordinator of the Work Release Program of the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, a position he held from 1973 until 1987. Tony said that he wanted "to show people that when a man goes to prison for a little while, he doesn't come out a three-headed monster, but as a human being who can become a productive member of society. I want the public to get rid of that negative attitude that once a man commits a crime, he can’t get back into society.” (In 1976, Tony received an official pardon from the State of Pennsylvania.) Tony then moved to Florida where he became Corrections Case Manager of the Orange County Community Treatment Center. Anthony F. Karvaski (Happy Tony/Wesoły Antek) passed away in Winter Park, FL, on May 12, 1991, and was entombed in the same cemetery as his parents in Pennsylvania. |

Like a good wine, classic songs sung by a vocalist as good as John Doc can only mature with age. The Doc's career started in the early 60's, becoming the pianist in a live band before branching out with John Healy, where the duo become one of the more prominent acts when Clubland was at it's thriving best. After parting ways with Healy, Doc surrounded himself with great musicians and went off out under his own name, appearing as the resident vocalist at Hasties Farm in Blantyre – a popular entertainment venue which until the early 60’s had been a working farm. After a spell of about six years there, John moved to The Carousel in Motherwell, with the Doc and his trio playing an integral part in the club's success, so much so that John went into partnership with the owner, Gerry Gallen. Throughout his career, John became synonymous with many a venue throughout Scotland, such as Cowie Bowling Club, Cleland Miners, Carfin's Hibernian Club and Wishaw's Little Caesar's to name but a few, becoming an integral part of their respective communities as a result of his residencies. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Mikalveli | Mikal Battle | Just like Texas, Florida, L.A., and currently the A.T.L. has been the “It Factor, the go to place for all things music” North Carolina is getting in where it fits in and is taking the reins. North Carolina is on the rise for music artist and it’s their time to shine. We have already witnessed some very accomplished talent come out of North Carolina like J.Cole, Fantasia, Petey Pablo and most recently DaBaby. There is a upcoming artist in the making who will be just the one to bring it home to North Carolina and make North Carolina the new go to place to scout talent. His name is Mikal Battle but in the music game you will find him going by the name Mikalveli aka Veli Baby. Mikalveli was born February 6, 1993 and calls North Carolina home, Greensboro to be exact. He doesn’t forget his original home town roots and so he represents both the (252) and (336) area codes but he is definitely riding and grinding for Greensboro. Veli’s music goes back to around 4th grade when his mom bought him his first electric guitar. He always had an ear for music oddly enough he couldn’t read music however he didn’t allow that to stop him because he learned to play by ear. If that isn’t enough to make you want to listen to his music and learn more about this guy then I don’t know what will. Maybe once you check out his Mix Tape “Blood Money” you will truly understand his talent and his potential as a great upcoming artist. Mikalveli went on to continue on his music path throughout Middle school by playing in the band, again still never learning to read music and only playing by ear. He was so talented he was recruited by the High School band coach. However, Mikalveli turned it down as he was all about girls then and wanted to get into sports. This caused a slight hiatus for Veli Baby from the music game. It took Veli’s uncle to be released from prison to realize his love for music hadn’t fully left. His uncle had a note book with raps he wrote in prison and Veli picked up the notebook, memorized the lyrics and would go to school rapping them. In turn Veli grew a fan base and realized not only could he learn to play instruments by ear but he also had a talent for rapping and started writing his own. In 2012, he met a guy named Major who produced music and started making music in the house with him and it was discovered Mikalveli had a real future in music as a rap artist. When asked who are some of his influences Veli does not hesitate to mention 50 Cent and the G-unit crew, but Veli definitely has a sound and energy of his own. Fast forward to 2019 by now Mikalveli has perfected his craft and has ran into none other than Sir Classic, C.E.O. of Dictator Records. Sir Classic has been in the game since 1997 and has made not only a name for himself but helped in the careers of many upcoming and established Atlanta artist. Sir Classic was promoting music between Atlanta and North Carolina when he saw the need for all the upcoming artist coming from North Carolina to have an outlet, to get their music out so he decided to stay in North Carolina for about a couple of months. While there, Sir Classic did his typical business guru move and created that outlet for the artist in the local area. Sir Classic was at a local gas station promoting his music, when he met Mikalveli and they soon exchanged contact information and later on linked up to work together and that led Veli to sign with Dictator Records. Sir Classic had organized a weekly open mic at a local club and started hosting and DJing at the open mic as a way to scout new artist and for them to have a place to showcase their musical talent. After the weekly open mic had come to an end, Sir Classic started to put his attention towards Veli and rebranding the label in the Carolina market. The one talent who stood out the most over his course of time there was none other than Mikalveli. Sir Classic saw the potential in Veli and decided to sign him to the label because in words, “Mikalveli was not only confident but he was humble.” Sir Classic appreciates artists that are teachable and who like Mikalveli want to learn the music business. Sir Classic sees not only the potential in North Carolina but he sees it in his new protege Mikalveli and both are about to make their mark in a major way. When you see that North Carolina and Mikalveli are both on the map due to Sir Classic’s vision be sure to recognize that the vision was set in motion. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol | Laurens Tol is only 28 years old, but has become an integral part of the Volendam music scene. The bass player is involved in the lion's share of local musical projects. Although he graduated from the Conservatory five years ago, he still studies his instrument every day. This institution has done him no harm. "What I really thought was a great honor, for example, was raiding the 3JS," the musician proudly explains. Laurens has now reached a new milestone. His debut album, entitled The Four Trees, is complete and will be presented next Friday. By Kevin Mooijer In 2013 the Volendammer unknowingly writes the first song for the piece that would become his debut album five years later. ,, At the time I was very active with improvisation lessons from a good guitarist. After a few sessions, the teacher asked me to come up with my own piece a week later. I tried and actually liked it. ”Laurens got the taste for it and often ventured to write instrumental compositions. ,, At one point I had dozens of pieces on my computer and then the idea of making a record came up carefully. Once that thought is alive, you start using it much more intensively. Songs are improved and you want to create a certain line in the album, so it takes a lot more time. " There is good reason why The Four Trees is an instrumental album in a jazz atmosphere. ,, I really like to solo and improvise. You can hear that on the album, also with the other cooperating musicians. Whereas in pop music, for example, you are primarily supporting as a musician, in jazz you have room for improvisation. ” Despite the fact that jazz is often regarded as heavy music, it appears that Laurens ’album is experienced as very accessible. ,, Various people, both music lovers and musicians, have already touched on me with positive reactions about the atmosphere of the music. In the early stages it felt a bit uncomfortable to make this album, because I am used to playing music that appeals to me. So I am very happy that a lot of people like it. " Four instruments can be heard on The Four Trees; the bass guitar, guitar, alto saxophone and drums. The musicians who play the instruments are (old) acquaintances of Laurens from the music world. ,, For such a project as musicians it is important that you have a good click with each other. The boys who participated in this album vary in age between their twenties and fifties. They are all great guests and moreover virtuosos. ”In addition to Laurens Tol on the bass guitar, you can hear Tom Rutgers (drums), Florian Hierdeis (guitar) and Erik van der Weijden (alto saxophone). ,, I am really proud of the end result. As a bass player you have the possibility to record your own album in the studio, that is such a special experience. Nobody takes that away from me anymore. " |

| Search | Add | 6 | הולי | Holy was known in the local scene as a top guitar player for a short time during the 80's. He recorded "Hayanshuf" trying to break through but since his music was rooted deep in the 60's & 70's psych-blues-rock he didn't managed to sign with any major record company. He decided to produce the album entirely by himself including a completely DYI cover which he folded and taped by himself. As for the music, the album has the grace of a low budget production and the feel of a real enthusiastic guy, devoted to his music and free spirit. two tracks of the sound sample include his cover version to Jimi Hendrix "Hey Joe" (which combine phrases from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Hendrix's own US anthem fuzz cover!) and a instrumental "hendrix style" track full of fuzz-feedbacks and swirl guitar, Rest of the songs on the album are sung in Hebrew! Privately pressed somewhere in the early 80's in no more than 100 copies (50 copies is agreed to be the most accurate number). This album was never reissued on LP or CD. The album failed to sell and got lost in history, Holy's only "big" success was a great blues gem session with Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) while Green's visit in Israel in the 80's (recorded on a private CD). Although he's still living in Israel he has vanished from the music scene since then but was spotted many times playing his guitar around the streets of Haifa and other bars blues & rock evenings, additionally, he used to be a guitar teacher. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Mahavishnu Huntington Majors | I'm an American guitarist who's lived for some years in Britain. My sound is retro in some ways, contemporary in others. I'm very much into the rock and heavy metal guitar sound of the late '60s, '70s, '80s and early '90s. My aim is to take the musical idiom and translate it into 21st century rock. My definitions of rock and metal are somewhat different than what's currently popular. I enjoy listening to it but playing it's not my bag. If nobody else agrees with me, that's okay. I'm into my music for its own sake and I've never been a "dedicated follower of fashion." Most of the tunes I've done are instrumentals but I'm working on songs with lyrics as well. I perform and record all of it, using various guitars, pedals and analog and digital recording hardware and software. I like being a solo act in some ways, but oherwise I'm interested in hooking up with other like-minded musicians and vocalists to jam, record and perform. | |

Soon changing their name to Dream Dates, the Hammer City combo went into the studio later that same year to lay down a seven song set that would remain ...unreleased for the next twenty-one years. Drawing on the rawest early rockabilly, snarling '60s garage punk and the furious sounds of more recent outfits like the Stooges and Dead Boys, Dream Dates backed three instant classic originals with four revved-up covers, then promptly forgot about the session as they proceeded to focus on their devastating live assault. While the band gigged well and often until their 1982 disintegration, they never did enter the studio again

| Search | Add | 6 | The D-Gen's | Between 2009 and 2010 the band sold 1100 total discs of their first 2 demo cds, selling them via Facebook, Myspace, and at basement and backyard shows across Long Island, NY. Kenny Jockel has run Infernal Trinity Records since 2006, after his collaborative work with AreaDeath Productions in 2006-2007 led to an internationally distributed CD from his friends Ritual Sacrifice that sold out of 1000 copies in 2 weeks. He wrote the 3-page bio, designed the booklet, wrote the liner notes, and supplied the band with the recordings since they had long lost all their demo material, all at age 16. This led to his formation of ITR and his motivation to run the ultimate DIY label free of outside influence and corruption, and providing his services to local true-metal bands 100% Free so they can get their music out there and make moderate-money without sacrifice any degree of creative control. The bands merchandise, 2 different patches made on fully-handbuilt silkscreen presses, 12" vinyl sleeves pro-printed and assembled by hand, t-shirts designed and silkscreened by the band, and the approx. 1100 demo cd's (200 with one of 4 different handdrawn covers done by each member) and 100 CD EP's (made on band-purchased surplus factory-standard blank discs so they are silver on the bottom) is always made by hand with emphasis on uniqueness, collect-ability and aesthetic value. The bands motto printed on the back of the T-Shirts and bottom of the official press-packs (always flanked by inverted crosses), was "D.I.Y. 'Till We Fuckin' Die! F.T.S. - SVS - S9S - Fuck the rest!!" They were praised by internationally renowned acts like Militia, Spectral Incursion, and members of Decimation for their young age and for crafting their own sound combining influences from D.R.I. to Terror to Burzum to Integrity. to Midnight, without sounding like any of the above but still making their influences clear. Mike Soliz of Militia said of their second Demo CD "this is the best crossover we've heard since 87-88, if you can make it to Texas we'll split a bill with you anytime!!" (all members of Militia wrote to the band to give input on their respective instruments). | |
