Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Christine Jane | On a flickering old TV set many moons ago, a small girl sat in her living room in suburbia, mesmerised by the closing scenes of a short film made by her father. As the camera panned out and the credits rolled she heard what would become a familiar and beloved sound: the ringing out of those iconic chords we know as ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ by Crowded House. The film, the song, and the enthralling story of how her father obtained the rights to use it began a love affair with music, the screen and the mystery of songwriting. Christine Jane’s eclectic tastes and world wide travels lead her to find her sound: ‘cinematic blues’. She has been compared to artists who share her love of storytelling, darkness and the enigma of song such as Nick Cave, K.D. Lang, Beck, Feist, Fiona Apple, Tom Waits, and Neil Finn. She is haunted by the voices of yesteryear that move her soul- Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley and Dusty Springfield. Her songs are deeply personal and reflect on loss, love, listlessness, and the shadows of despair. Each can be a world unto itself, collaging sound, mood and substance depending on the character she inhabits. Christine Jane cut her teeth collaborating and performing across her beloved home town Sydney with artists such as Jack Moffitt (The Preatures), Peter Fenton (CROW, The Tall Grass), The Johnnys, The Apartments, Steve Clisby, Queen Porter Stomp and more. She has toured roads unknown across this Great Southern Land with Claire Anne Taylor, Allensworth, Aine Tyrell, Elephant Sessions, The Tall Grass, The Apartments, Broke House and CJ Stranger to name a few. Her debut EP SINNERS COME & GO was released in 2012 and is filled with dark poetry and eclectic sounds. Her follow up single MAKE BELIEVE sends you to a smoky Spanish dive bar with its raw sensuality. Released in 2013, it’s available for free at Bandcamp. In 2014 Christine ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to record her first full length record. Produced by Josh Schuberth (Josh Pyke, Lenka, Shane Nicholson), H E A D M I L E S was released in 2015 to glowing reviews and national airplay on ABC radio and community radio around the country. “Christine Jane not only has a voice that stops you in your tracks, but she is a great songwriter as well. Headmiles was one of my favourite local releases last year and I look forward to her future efforts. Definitely one to watch.” – Paul Gough, host of ‘The Inside Sleeve’ on ABC Radio National, creator and presenter of Playback and Chimes on the national community radio network The lead single from H E A D M I L E S ‘In This Night’ spent four weeks in the national top ten of the AMRAP Community Radio charts ascending to #3, cementing Christine Jane as a formidable talent in the alternative Aussie music landscape. She is currently self-producing her third record SONGS FOR BLEEDING HEARTS and runs monthly live music night ‘For Folk Sake’ on a charming rooftop in Redfern. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Gladys Carbò | Gladys Lourdes Margarita Carbo Ramiro Garcia y de la Torre | NY-based Cuban singer a.k.a. Havana Carbo. Died in the Berkshires, Massachusetts, on October 25, 2015. At age 3 she took to the piano and at 8 began formal lessons in Havana, where she was raised in an environment that celebrated music but viewed “nightclub” performing as inappropriate for a young lady. Jazz established residence in her soul during her NY High School years, but a budding career was cut short by marriage to a Cuban Economics major she met while a student at pre-Castro’s Villanova University in Havana. But twenty years, three marriages and four children later, with life’s experiences as a bonus, Havana finally went home to her passion – music. In 1984, Carbo created “Havana Midnight”, a latin/jazz group devoted to her arrangements of Latin American classics from her past, and the group met with instant success in the Berkshires where she resided. She produced an EP (Another Summer), which led to being signed by Soul Note in 1987 to record her first solo CD, “Street Cries”. It featured Gene Bertoncini, Michael Moore, Marvin Stamm and John Sauer. In ‘89 she was awarded a Mass Arts Grant. Carbo recorded or performed with such greats as Michael Moore, Jimmy Giuffre, Gene Bertoncini, Dario Eskenazi, Nilson Matta, Vince Cherico, John Benitez, Café, Chocolate Armenteros, Oriente Lopez, Helio Alves, Sean Smith, Diego Urcola, Edsel Gomez, Aaron Goldberg, John Di Martino, “El Negro”Hernandez, Café, LeoTraversa, the late Edson Machado, and a two-month run as vocalist with the legendary Chico O’Farrill Band. Since moving to NY she has appeared in major clubs from NY to the Caribbean, South Beach and Paris; venues as varied as Birdland, 55BAR, Lenox Lounge, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smith College, Aaron Davis Hall, B.Smith’s, Lenox Lounge, Helsinki, the Barbados and Jamaica Jazz Festivals. Carbo has been featured guest on radio including WNYC, WFCR, WFDU, WBGO, WDNA Miami, XM Satellite Radio, WLUZ San Juan, and KLAS Jamaica. In the West Indies, the drink “Havana Carbo” was created in her honor at Kingston’s Redbones Blues Café. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Guy Blakeman | Guy Jasper Blakeman | Guy Blakeman (1911-1992). Born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and learned to play the fiddle at a young age. In 1927, he came to Cincinnati to work in a factory. When the Depression hit in 1929, he lost his job but was able to get a job playing fiddle on WCKY with a group called the Bluegrass Serenaders (the name referred to the state of Kentucky, as bluegrass music had not yet been invented). In the 1930s, with Roland Gaines and Jerry Behrens, he was a member of the Range Riders, a group that moved back and forth between WCKY and KMOX in St. Louis, eventually landing at Renfro Valley, Kentucky in 1940. There, John Lair changed their name to the Mountain Rangers. Blakeman was in various groups over the years, including the Prairie Ramblers at WLW on the Midwestern Hayride in 1950. He participated in at least one of Larry Sunbrock’s infamous fiddle contests, this one at the Carthage Fairgrounds in Cincinnati in 1945, where he competed against Clayton McMichen, Natchee the Indian, and Fiddling Red Herron. He was the National Fiddling Champion in 1952, which he capitalized upon by recording two 78 rpm records on Cincinnati’s Gateway label in that year and one on the unlikely Chess label using the old Bluegrass Serenaders name. In 1979, he participated on an LP which honored Cincinnati area traditional musicians. In 1982, he put out an EP of fiddle tunes on the Musique label in Loveland. He was around the Cincinnati area for many years and had an influence on country and bluegrass fiddlers who came after him. |

He is also was a member of Special Case, along with Arram Mantana and Tripmastaz. Roustam is the owner of the acclaimed underground label Redpanda and has released on Nilla Roustam was born in Moscow and grew up in Chicago which has left a lasting imprint on his creative and artistic life. He was raised on a steady diet of classic US House and techno in the Midwest and is a forward thinking and talented dj and producer, spending his time between Chicago, Berlin and Moscow. In his native city Roustam is well known for being the resident dj and main booker of the notorious Gipsy club. In the span of only two years Gipsy has become the premier destination for techno and house music in the Russian capital. The club's varied and all-encompassing program, which Roustam is responsible for, has featured a wide spectrum of great modern electronic artists, from Art Department and Nicolas Jaar to Ben Klock and Petre Inspirescu! In Gipsy and other places around the country Roustam has promoted events and performed with the who is who of cutting edge dance music. He has become known for comfortably fitting in as a back 2 back partner with many of his guests such as Matt Tolfrey, Droog, Clive Henry, Valentino Kanzyani, Seuil and the notoriously meticulous Romanians — Petre Inspirescu, Priku and Praslea. These daring journey sets have showcased Roustam's fluid and original style. Formerly Roustam was also an integral part of the magnificent trio of accomplished producers and djs hailing from Russia, better known around the world as Special Case. As a crucial member of the collective, along with his partners Arram Mantana and Tripmastaz, Roustam has released accomplished records on Culprit (which was remixed by no other than the great Petre Inspirescu) and Souvenir. Special Case have also crafted stellar remixes for Supernature, Akbal, and Plant 74 among other labels, featuring unique takes on such artists as Tiefschwarz, Inxec & Droog and Gwen Maze. As a part of the group he has also performed at leading festivals such as Sonar, WMC and Amsterdam Dance Event and in clubs like Watergate, Odeon and Katerholzig. Special Case was three individuals with varied tastes and styles that seamlessly blend into a beautiful composition whether it was through their mesmerising sets or through breathtaking productions on tasteful labels! As a solo performer Roustam has visited most parts of his native Russia along with great destinations in Europe and USA. He has crafted complex, engaging and usually extended sets which perfectly combined all sides of house and reduced elastic techno for such great party brands as Concrete in Paris, Half-Baked in London, Kontrast in Belgium and Just Wax in Berlin. Every month he continues to captivate club audiences everywhere from Oslo to Kiev. His debut solo record "Rustospace" was signed to the respected All Inn record label. It was released to much industry and critical acclaim on their new sister label Nilla in March of 2013 and is one of the label's all time top sellers as of now! "Rustospace" features a mind-bending remix from the talented Romanian duo NoiDoi. Special Case have also a record in the pipeline with Turquoise Blue, featuring an outstanding Seuil remix. His own vinyl-only Redpanda label also dropped its first release in April of 2013 with a Phrasis Veteris record! So far this young Russian producer, dj and ambassador of quality music in the motherland is only getting started! |

| Search | Add | 6 | The Rockit King | The Rockit King. A band apart. Whatever preconceptions you have about Rock 'N' Roll music, forget them and believe instead in Truth Will Set You Free, the latest offering from this lean, mean group of Michiganders. Truth Will Set You Free, the band's third studio album, takes the listener on a journey with twists and turns varying wide from Blues to Country with plenty of straight ahead Rock. "It covers a lot of ground musically” states drummer Kenny Roberts. "We made the album in batches and in different locations in an effort to really mix things up." "We began with the intention of this album being the best thing we've ever done" explains bassist Dan Cox, "It had to be." The album took shape over multiple writing and recording sessions all taking place over several years. "We played gigs throughout the writing and much of the recording process" says frontman Jessie Beveridge, "The approach took a bit longer than expected but we think the material and the performances speak for themselves." Lyrically the album seems loosely themed around getting unstuck from a rut, a subject close to Beveridge's heart. "Hard times lead to real words, sometimes heavy, sometimes really uplifting, but always close to home." The Rockit King also appear to be keen studies of all things blues with tracks like the eponymous 'The Truth Will Set You Free'. "You don't have a Rockit King album without the blues," says Beveridge "and don't forget the shuffle. It's part of our DNA." "A lot of thought went into sounds and drum parts, especially the kick drum." said Roberts. "We saw that as the foundation of the whole thing.” adds Beveridge "Down and dirty, four on the floor Rock 'N' Roll." Thirteen years in and with the release of Truth Will Set You Free, The Rockit King seem to be finding their stride...in spades..... | |

With the rise of digital presences in our post-pandemic world, most notably with the origin of the Facebook ‘Meta-Verse’, where we won’t be limited to the absence of our physical entities on social media, WJX explores these ideas with their hyper-surreal pieces. Their works combine inspirations from nature and the physical human form with concepts of a technological future, such as hybrid creatures, apocalyptic prophecies and the possible futures for our world, all using 3D rendering tools and photography that question our future ahead with the rise of digital opportunities. |

Together with some friends they form a band called Titograd and play at several small festivals in the years that follow. In 2010 the band falls apart. Unable to sit still Alfred and Jaap continue with a new project, naming themselves The O’Riley Brothers. That same year they win a local singer-songwriter contest that takes place at Hedon in Zwolle. Soon after they start recording their first songs resulting in an EP called The Times. This is the first time they use their family name ‘Roo’ as their artist name. | Search | Add | 6 | Slave Kamp | "Alabama's most controversial rap group" Slave Kamp was created by GMAN (Geoffrey Robinson) in ’93 and started off with JQ (Jarvis Qualls), Whyze Up (Sean Alexander), Laylo (Terrance Casey), and D.J. 7-11 (Johann Robinson). This number grew “Wu-Tang style” over the next couple of years as other underground lyricists and producers from Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia began supporting and performing with group. A family was born, and by 1996, the Kamp’s music was being played all over Alabama via mix tapes, demos, and their first full length underground tape, which included the instant underground hit “Us vs. Them”. Slave Kamp’s sound is southern cooked with a unique flavor. The music and the message speaks for itself. Those who listen primarily to the beats will automatically be hooked to the bass driven tracks complimented by the original (no samples) sounds of southern blues/jazz/soul inspired music. Heads who peep out the lyrics will no doubt be impressed by, not only the skills of these talented poets, but the overall positivism of the group's message.

Those 2 young men are actually born in the 60’s and take a walk with their youth in a retro-futuristic decade, a sort of temporal hole, somewhere between the 70’s and the 80’s. They were volunteers for a trip in a time machine, this duet now finds itself propelled into 2016. Equipped only with their instruments and their knowledge, The Past Travellers are here to regale our ears with revisited timeless pearls of disco-funk . They are heart brothers with Chic, Imagination, Michael Jackson, George Duke, Giorgio Moroder, Earth Wind & Fire. They also have an infinite connection with Daft Punk, Todd Terje and Mark Ronson… Great music, I’m sure you’ll agree, in such a family.

| Search | Add | 6 | Escaping Pavement | Detroit, MI, Americana wildflowers amongst blades of bluegrass. Have you Escaped the Pavement lately? There’s something about the bend of the mandolin, the rustle of the guitar, the gale-like wave of the vocal melody…, that calls you to adventure. Songwriting duo Emily Burns and Aaron Markovitz have always been adapting. The two Michiganders met as individual music makers in the blues open-mic circles; then they studied their craft together in California, and wound up taking to the seas to cover Top 40 hits for a cruise ship’s dance hall. After that, they started a southern rock-inclined, neo-country quartet, called Escaping Pavement. But most of their fans started finding them after 2014, when they kept their intrepid-sounding name but pared down to just a duo. With just their voices, an acoustic guitar and a mandolin, they wrote and recorded an album (The Night Owl) that was heavy on melody-slung Americana and rollicking, twangy ballads that attained a radiance through their magnificent harmonies. Now, they’re adapting again, this time as Road Warriors. Road Warriors: … we don’t mean that in a Mad Max sort of way...,, but it’s nevertheless a fitting title for their new EP. It’s been a year of discovery and progress for Escaping Pavement as they’ve entered this next phase. They played nearly 150 shows in 2018, mixing high-profile slots like the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance with more intimate engagements inside domestic abodes, all the while meeting and connecting with a range of wonderful new fans. They covered 60,000 miles, 28 states, and headlined six sold-out shows, including playing to their biggest audience to date. But with Burns and Markovitz both being John Muir-like romantics for the majesty of nature, they were absolutely thrilled to perform at the Zion Canyon Music Festival in Springfield Utah, right at the entrance to Zion National Park. It quickly became one of the highlights of their year. Since 2012, through their music and their lifestyle, Burns and Markovitz have extolled the restorative principals of “…Escaping the Pavement.” Fueled by the graceful grit and fine fiery energy of their acoustic guitar, mandolin and swooning harmonies, the intent was to integrate the uniquely holistic qualities of folk, roots and Americana music as a way of accessing an elemental peace of mind that’s always quietly waiting for us out there in the wilderness. While they developed their sound over two prior and very distinctly arranged albums, they tried to emphasize the splendors of unplugging every once and a while and taking in the outdoors, be it parks, trails, beaches, woods or mountains. But with the release of their third batch of recorded songs this Spring, Escaping Pavement are now embracing a Road Warrior outlook. Sure, they’re still escaping the pavement, but now they’re spending more time cruising across several interstate highways in a vintage, Jayco RV. Because from here on out, they’ll be consistently striking out for new territories and bold new experiences—particularly by taking on music as their full time profession. While any average independent artist probably has a day-job tethering them from full time tours, Escaping Pavement are making it their prerogative now to bring their evocative ballads, twangy rhythmic strums and soaring vocals to as many ears as possible—be it at bars, clubs, or outdoor festivals, or even your living room. The experience of making acoustic music together and getting back to nature can, of course, strengthen anyone’s songwriting sensibilities, but you begin to really find yourself, once you’re out there on the road! And as “warriors,” they’ve found they’re not defined by battles, so to speak, but more so by a bravery. Sure it’s a brave step for these songwriters to dive in 100% and begin adapting to road-life, but they if they both feel braver, or perhaps more enthused, it’s because of all of the people that they’ve gotten to meet and share time with: a diverse range of unique and affable people, be they music lovers in the audience, or fellow songwriters sharing their stage. The idea of a “home” for musical Road Warriors is ever-changing. But the question of what a “homecoming” might mean, then, for Road Warriors like them, now, is a more ponderous and amorphous concept that Burns and Markovitz mine to full poetic potential with the songs on their new EP. The intention, and really the lifestyle, now, is to remain as adaptable as ever, and to always be “finding” rather than “searching.” The only certain destination: Escaping the Pavement. \\Bio written by Jeff Milo\\ | |

He played in bands in the Alta Valtiberina area: first the Siros, then the Vibrocementi where he stayed for several years and with which he performed in many clubs in Central Italy. The meeting with Ivan Graziani, at the end of the 1970s, made him realize he was creating his own identity, trying not to imitate other more famous singers. Collaborating with his friend Lanfranco Perini, he then began to write songs. On the occasion of a concert by Francesco De Gregori in Città di Castello, he met the Roman songwriter and proposed him a tape with his own songs. The tape reached Vincenzo Micocci who soon called him to Rome to record the first 7": "Stella". It was 1984. In the following years Franco Verini alternated his own recording activity with production activities with the compilation "Il Vecchio vestito di Nuovo" for the Globo label. At the end of the 1980s, with Marcello Marini, he set up a show called "Canzoni Italiane", with a history of the Italian song during the 1900s, toured in Argentina and in many European countries. He's still active today.
