Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Roustam Mirzoev | Рустам Мирзоев (Roustam Mirzoev) | Roustam is a talented and forward thinking dj and producer that grew up in Chicago and currently lives in Moscow, where he is the resident and main booker of the Gipsy club. He is also was a member of Special Case, along with Arram Mantana and Tripmastaz. Roustam is the owner of the acclaimed underground label Redpanda and has released on Nilla Roustam was born in Moscow and grew up in Chicago which has left a lasting imprint on his creative and artistic life. He was raised on a steady diet of classic US House and techno in the Midwest and is a forward thinking and talented dj and producer, spending his time between Chicago, Berlin and Moscow. In his native city Roustam is well known for being the resident dj and main booker of the notorious Gipsy club. In the span of only two years Gipsy has become the premier destination for techno and house music in the Russian capital. The club's varied and all-encompassing program, which Roustam is responsible for, has featured a wide spectrum of great modern electronic artists, from Art Department and Nicolas Jaar to Ben Klock and Petre Inspirescu! In Gipsy and other places around the country Roustam has promoted events and performed with the who is who of cutting edge dance music. He has become known for comfortably fitting in as a back 2 back partner with many of his guests such as Matt Tolfrey, Droog, Clive Henry, Valentino Kanzyani, Seuil and the notoriously meticulous Romanians — Petre Inspirescu, Priku and Praslea. These daring journey sets have showcased Roustam's fluid and original style. Formerly Roustam was also an integral part of the magnificent trio of accomplished producers and djs hailing from Russia, better known around the world as Special Case. As a crucial member of the collective, along with his partners Arram Mantana and Tripmastaz, Roustam has released accomplished records on Culprit (which was remixed by no other than the great Petre Inspirescu) and Souvenir. Special Case have also crafted stellar remixes for Supernature, Akbal, and Plant 74 among other labels, featuring unique takes on such artists as Tiefschwarz, Inxec & Droog and Gwen Maze. As a part of the group he has also performed at leading festivals such as Sonar, WMC and Amsterdam Dance Event and in clubs like Watergate, Odeon and Katerholzig. Special Case was three individuals with varied tastes and styles that seamlessly blend into a beautiful composition whether it was through their mesmerising sets or through breathtaking productions on tasteful labels! As a solo performer Roustam has visited most parts of his native Russia along with great destinations in Europe and USA. He has crafted complex, engaging and usually extended sets which perfectly combined all sides of house and reduced elastic techno for such great party brands as Concrete in Paris, Half-Baked in London, Kontrast in Belgium and Just Wax in Berlin. Every month he continues to captivate club audiences everywhere from Oslo to Kiev. His debut solo record "Rustospace" was signed to the respected All Inn record label. It was released to much industry and critical acclaim on their new sister label Nilla in March of 2013 and is one of the label's all time top sellers as of now! "Rustospace" features a mind-bending remix from the talented Romanian duo NoiDoi. Special Case have also a record in the pipeline with Turquoise Blue, featuring an outstanding Seuil remix. His own vinyl-only Redpanda label also dropped its first release in April of 2013 with a Phrasis Veteris record! So far this young Russian producer, dj and ambassador of quality music in the motherland is only getting started! |

The themes of his songs mainly revolve around love and its wounds. He has collaborated a lot with the Algerian songwriter [a=Mahboub Bati]. He is popular in Algeria, in particular thanks to his songs "Errahla", "Krit el houb fi aïnik", "ya Radia" and "Ya bnete el djazair" dedicated to the Algerian woman. This song is broadcasted every year on "Women's Day" in Algeria. He had also distinguished himself through a few Kabyle songs such as "Aya hadad elfadda" and "Wardia". He died on April 3, 1987 following a car accident in Birtouta (Algiers, Algeria). |

The order was to reflect topics like flickering televisions, urban traffic pollution, disaffection, humdrum in everyday life, resulting in despair and a bit of confidence. Without being pathetic. It was no question how the music should sound. A hail to the past combined with a glimpse into the future, dominated by the situation of today. The time is Traffic A.M.

Search | Add | 5 | Uncle Julius | Ross Gordon / Emil Gorski | “Uncle Julius” was an over-the-air character created by Madison, WI, radio announcer “Ross Gordon,” which in turn was the professional name of one Emil Gorski. While spinning “Old Time” records on radio WKOW, Ross began speaking in German dialect as “Uncle Julius,” ultimately leading to the creation of a band led by the fictitious character. Emil (Ross’s birth name) was the youngest of over half a dozen children born to Antonia Kolakowski and her husband Joseph W. Gorski in the northern Wisconsin town of Three Rivers. Emil spent World War II as an instructor at Camp Hood (now Fort Cavazos), TX, which opened in 1942 as a new “Tank Destroyer Tactical and Firing Center.” After the war, Emil got into radio announcing, working at WSPA, Spartanburg, SC; WWL, New Orleans, LA; and WTAD, Quincy, IL. Over the air he was Ross Gordon, a professional name he ultimately adopted legally. The Uncle Julius Band was actively performing by the fall of 1950, with regular engagements during 1951, and recordings for Capitol Records and Milwaukee’s Tell Records. He became a real estate agent, all the while maintaining his radio show, and using the Uncle Julius picture in his realty ads. He opened his own real estate office, and in 1961 ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Madison. Uncle Julius/Ross/Emil is not noted to have played an instrument, but did provide spoken introductions to recordings, and “directed” the Uncle Julius band at its live performances. Emil Gorski/Ross Gordon passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 1977, at the age of 58. |

Search | Add | 5 | Boulo Valcourt | Died Friday, November 17, 2017 "Boulo Valcourt (b. 1946, Cap-Haïtien, Haiti) has been a central pillar of the jazz landscape in Haiti and its diaspora for more than fifty years. The vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and arranger has been a founding member of such noted ensembles as Ibo Combo, Caribbean Sextet, Pikliz, Djanm, and Haïtiando. He has regularly collaborated with past and present musical greats such as Azor (Lénord Fortuné), Réginald Policard, Jean Jean and Philippe “Toto” Laraque, Lionel Benjamin, Mushi and Joël Widmaïer, and Ralph Thamar. His ensembles have shared the stage with Danny Glover and Wynton Marsalis, and he has been a featured artist at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC. He has mentored many of the most popular Haitian vocalists of the past two generations, including Emeline Michel, Beethova Obas, Tifane (Tifany Sejour), and Alan Cavé, each of whom have catapulted on to international careers. He has written dozens of hits for these and other performers, frequently using texts by acclaimed poet Syto Cavé, including “Fè van pou mwen” and “Jounen” for Emeline Michel and “Limit Solèy” for Tamara Suffren. Valcourt’s “Tante Nini,” written in collaboration with Cavé, generated overwhelming excitement when Caribbean Sextet first released the recordings in the 1980s. These tunes remain a prominent and beloved part of the Haitian soundtrack." https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/boulovalcourt

Guitar hooks cut through distorted samples and vocals, coasting on driving beats and bass synth lines. Audiophiliac homages to heroes past swirl alongside lighthearted wordplay and it's darker undertones. A series of upcoming 7-inch single releases and gigging around their homebase keeps them busy.

Search | Add | 5 | Lew Anderson | Lewis Burr Anderson | Lew Anderson (May 7, 1922 – May 14, 2006) was an American actor and musician, most famous for being the third and final actor to portray Clarabell the Clown on Howdy Doody between 1954 and 1960. He was also a musician. He famously spoke Clarabell's one and only line on the program on the show's final episode in 1960, with a tear visible in his eye, "Goodbye, kids." Anderson was born in Kirkman, Iowa, the son of a railroad telegrapher. He began playing his sister's clarinet when she tired of it, and by high school had formed his own dance band. After a year in junior college in Fort Dodge, Iowa, he received a music scholarship to Drake University in Des Moines. He attended for two years, but then quit school to begin his professional musical life by accepting a job with the Lee Barron sleeper bus band. During World War II, Anderson served in the United States Navy where he started his first band. After serving in the Navy in World War II, he joined the Carlos Molinas Latin Orchestra, where he also wrote the American dance arrangements. In the late 1940s, he joined The Honey Dreamers, a singing group that appeared on radio and early television shows like The Ed Sullivan Show. While working with the group, he met "Buffalo" Bob Smith who offered him the role on the Howdy Doody show. Anderson again played Clarabell on the short-lived "New Howdy Doody Show" in 1976-1977 and in the 1987 40th anniversary special and made personal appearances as Clarabell with Buffalo Bob for many years thereafter. After his six year stint as Clarabell, he returned to music, and in his later years, played and led the 16-piece Lew Anderson Big Band Friday nights in New York's jazzclub, Birdland. Anderson died in Hawthorne, New York from complications of prostate cancer. |

Search | Add | 5 | Technicolor Noir | Technicolor Noir | TECHNICOLOR NOIR .. Noir as in "Film Noir", Movie buff, band songwriter & guitar player Astro's favorite film genre. And Technicolor as in "Technicolor Dreams" but, Noir. "Technicolor Noir" is the sub-genre where the Film Noir is shot in color... Hollywood colors! But, the story of the movie remains dark... which should be telling concerning our music versus our lyrics. A relatively new project, Technicolor Noir are from Paris' underground garage-rock scene; members feature : Astro, founder & lead guitarist, a veteran garage-rocker who previously played in the Tribe, Bang!, Scope, Bouton Rouge and numerous short-lived bands in-between... Eric, another veteran, but of the Paris indie pop-rock scene, mostly as ex.drummer and bassist in touring underground French singin' Power-Pop band, "La Moutarde Me Monte au Nez", with a record of 4 LPs; he now plays drums in Technicolor Noir... Yves, the original bass player who previously split after recording the group’s first 45 on “Dig The Fuzz’s Singles Club” limited issues is now back in the fold. He still leads, on the side (on guitar & vocals), his own Paris garage-rock band “Les Guillotines”, who had the privilege of being the first record released by the French indie label “Requiem Pour Un Twister” on their early subsidiary “Croque Macadam”. That label has since issued some records by “Triptides”, “The Proper Ornaments” or “The Young Sinclairs”... and Seva, direct from Russia, lead guitar and co-founder of the Karovas Milkshake, one of two of the most proeminent Russian garage-rock bands (the other being close friends, the Thunderbeats! ); he plays second guitar, alternating rhythm and leads, he sings lead on some tracks too. There you have the NEWEST line-up of this garage Folk-Rock project which started out as "Cloud Pilots" in 2013... ______ Members' bio. : Yves : likes singing about Guillotines (in French! ) and hunting wild ducks and boars when not singing hymns in churches on sundays! Dresses like a French Art Nouveau gentleman-detective (Hercule Poirot… with assorted mustache! ) and collects rare Garage 45s. A deerstalker cap would make his day, I presume. Seva : Russian spy and I with a French alibi. A delivery boy by trade, he fixes bicycles on the side but, after a past life making Karova Milkshakes, he really loves to quietly cultivate vegetables in his own backyard and occasionally teaches Jazz, writing musical scores. Currently Charging a Wave of Surf instrumental music… Astro : After watching late nights one too many Film Noirs, he had a bad Technicolor Dream that he should write garage-rock songs in his living-room... but, does so sporadically. He used to Bang and Scope out plans but nowadays, more often likes lazing around, listening to old records and going thru thrift-stores and bric-a-brocs on …lazy sunday afternoons; he’s a professional unemployed. An original Eastern halfcast « man-in-black », he hates Western patriots but likes their red, white and blue colors! • Eric : When not wearing casual jeans, tees and sneakers in his leisure time, bangin' on drums in his garage or breading children on weekends, he is the original Suit... the Man of Real Estate ! The only grown-up in the band who has a licence, drives a car around, takes care of business and manages the group’s budget. The most experienced of us all with 4 albums recorded under his belt... he is the Captain of our ship! |

Search | Add | 5 | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom (Open Fracture) is Anarcho Hardcore Punk band from Senta (Serbia). The initial idea of forming a band started well before it's realization. Somewhere in the winter of 2008 the band started their first rehearsals…they quickly begun work on copyrighted songs! The problematic years of 1990's which brought wars, hate, life and death in the Balkan region did not bring good to anyone. But those years are well behind now. Text columns speak of the abyss that was managed to pull ourselves out of us, and of repercussions, but if a person does not think with his or her head then that person becomes a victim. We call upon everyone to stand up against any form of suppression which might be directed against us… and to make it clear that we will not be just innocent bystanders…main focus it's centered around pain, dealing with hard life, but also with lot of positive aspects such as survival, fight, truth and awareness that always can be worse than it already is. Search | Add | 5 | Asmodeous | Asmodeous is an old school Death Metal band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was originally conceived under the name Cessation in 1993 and settled upon the name Asmodeous in 1994. All having an interest in extreme, fast, heavy music, founding members Kevin Schenk, Manny Canchola, Steve McDowell, and Joe Fraser met while attending the same high school. The spelling of the name Asmodeous is a slight variation from the original spelling Asmodeus, a leader of demons from the Book of Tobit. Kevin insisted on changing the spelling of the name to distinguish the band from past literature and other groups already named Asmodeus. Tyrant of the Land features guest guitarist Jon Heaton, playing second guitar and some solo work on the EP. In 2001, the Chicagoland Death Metal scene suffered a very tragic loss by the passing of vocalist Kevin Schenk, who was also playing Bass Guitar for band In Pieces. In Pieces later changed their name to Dead For Days. Manny Canchola assumed Kevin's position on Bass Guitar in Dead For Days after Kevin's passing, to carry on Kevin's work and legacy.
