Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Garotos Em Movimento ... ... Luiz, Michel e Gustavo eram J. Brown, Scott Robinson e Rich Neville, respectivamente, no Five.

Search Add 2 Тодор Попов Todor Popov Todor Popov is the poet among Bulgarian composers, strongly influenced by Bulgarian national folklore. He is a master of choral music, well known to generations of Bulgarians with his popular songs. Often called "Bulgarian Brahms", he is among the most beloved Bulgarian authors. His work ranges from popular music such as "Play, Accordion" to symphonies that reflect his constant search for the perfect melodic expression. The voice is the most important instrument in the work of Todor Popov and it is no coincidence that he is among the main authors who worked with the internationally recognized choir ‘Bodra smyana’. But the truth is that there is no Bulgarian choir that has not included in its repertoire songs by Todor Popov, because his music is close to the perfect combination of lyrical text and sound.

Search Add 2 Clayber De Souza Humberto Clayber de Souza Voto Humberto Clayber de Souza is a Brazilian composer and musician. He was considered one of the best Bossa Nova bass players in 1960s and actually is acclaimed as one of the best harmonica players of the world. He played with many famous artists along his career, such as Cesar Camargo Mariano, Airto Moreira, Hermeto Pascoal and Manfredo Fest. Humberto Clayber, or Clayber de Souza, started his musical career when he was 8 years old. At that period, he played for Radio Cultura band and, as a member of this group, he made his first shows. In 1956, he played for Hering Harmonicas. With Zezinho Lima and Raymundo Paiva, he played in São Paulo and other near cities, as endorser. He is responsible for popularizing the harmonica around Brazil, specially São Paulo. In the 1960s, he joined some samba-jazz groups. First, in 1963, he played with Manfredo Fest trio, as bassist, and recorded the debut album by the blind pianist: Bossa nova, nova bossa. One year later, he joined Sambalanço Trio, with Cesar Camargo Mariano and Airto Moreira. With this group, he recorded five albums. However, in 1965, Sambalanço Trio disbanded. So, with Moreira and Hermeto Pascoal, he formed Sambrasa Trio. These groups were considered some of the most important of that period; therefore, as member of them, Clayber was considered one of the best bassists of that years. He also played in Sambossa 5, in the end of the 1960s, and in Jongo Trio (with Paulo Roberto and Toninho), in the beginning of the 1970s. In the 1970s, Clayber stopped playing bass and decided to play only harmonica. Then, years later, he was considered one of the best harmonicists of the world, receiving a diploma by Fábrica de Gaitas Hohner, in 1979. In fact, Clayber can play about 40 different kinds of harmonica and can play six simultaneously. Actually, Clayber teaches how to play harmonicas, according to his own method. He still composes many songs in several rhythms: bossa nova, jazz, blues, tango, valsa.

Search Add 2 Basijo Basijo Born in Yogyakarta 1916 & Died August 31, 1979, Yogyakarta, Basiyo is a comedian from Yogyakarta who speaks Javanese. Lawakan Basiyo became famous in the Central Java region through radio, television (TVRI) broadcasts, and various recordings. The jokes are often referred to as the Mataram Dagelan, according to the name of the show at RRI Yogyakarta. In comedy, he used to work together with Sudarsono, Hardjo Gepeng, Supar. He is not only a comedian, but also succeeded in popularizing the type of gending "Pangkur Jenggleng", namely, the Javanese way of singing (nembang) which can be interspersed with comedy, without losing the rhythm of the song being sung. The way to beat the gamelan is unusual, because it relies more on the drum as the main accompaniment to finally use the last beat (bar) as time to hit all percussion instruments (especially the saron) as loud as possible. Although using Javanese language and "old product", the name Basiyo reappeared. Basiyo often collaborated with names of famous artists in the world and his time, such as Bagong Kussudihardjo, Ki Nartosabdo, Nyi Tjondrolukito, and others. Some of his admirers, such as cultural observer Umar Kayam, painter Affandi. Family : Basiyo is known to have been married three times. His first wife named Mrs. Karto, gave him 7 children. Then from his second wife, Mrs. Sri Suparti, Basiyo has 5 children. Meanwhile, with his third wife, Mrs. Pudjiyem, was not blessed with children. Pudjiyem was the one who accompanied Basiyo to perform on stage until the end of his life. Basiyo died on August 31, 1979 and was buried in Terban Public Cemetery, Yogyakarta

Search Add 2 Sonic Wolf ‘’It’s all about nexgen sounds!’’ - The motto that he created and changed everything. It changed the way how he sees the electronic dance music. For romanian DJ, producer and label head honcho Sonic Wolf, that way is called freedom. At the age of 24 years old, already gaining international success with his previous trance only project ‘’BVIBES’’, being a label owner of Nexgen Sounds Records and discovering great new artists and sounds and already working with international labels like Redux Recordings, Armada Music and Sony Music, a thing is for sure. The romanian youngster is full of energy, and this energy is up for doing some serious damage. Being a dreamer in real life, he is also a dreamer with his music and the freedom that he always wanted is here. Primarily focusing on techno music and the aggressive sounds that he is known for, you still never know. Stay tuned and be prepared, this is only the beginning.
