Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Stanley Stepanic | Stanley Stepanic is a professor from the University of Virginia who was classically trained in piano from a young age. While in high school, he worked with Joshua Kosker (eventually a guitarist for The Juliana Theory) in a noise rock band called War that released two cassettes and disbanded when the two separated during college. As an undergraduate, with local friends in Latrobe and Derry PA, he formed a satirical death metal band called Peppermint Kids that released two albums and toured the PA metal circuit with bands like AxCx. Later, as a graduate student, he went on to form the satirical noise rock band Comparative Anatomy with friend Addison Dodds from 2009 until 2011. From this band he went on to perform vocals until 2016 for the doom/sludge band Beldam, writing the lyrics and singing on their first album, which was recorded in 2015. He left the band in 2016. Stepanic was also the former owner of the now-defunct label Mind Flare Media, which was later merged with another business, Deaf Sparrow. He is currently the owner and editor of Deaf Sparrow, an underground magazine and limited-release label located in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Search | Add | 8 | Samet Özgür | Now 28 years old DJ/Producer Samet Özgür, was born in Edremit/Balıkesir in 1987. His interest in music started during his early childhood. He got involved playing the bass guitar and producing some demos with friends in 2003. Upon discovering electronic music in 2005, he became a producer of electronic industrial music in 2006. He released two albums for his project SADIZTIK:INJEKTION with the Hungarian company Advoxya Records. The tracks were incorporated in many collective albums. SADIZTIK:INJEKTION is the first harsh electro-industrial project in Turkey. He received support and praise from many big bands/projects within the industrial genre for his project. He still continues to work on the project, yet it’s not his current priority. He fell in love with House music in 2012 and began to work as a DJ with his own name. Contrary to many DJ’s, he did not switch from being a DJ to being a producer, but vice versa. In 2013 he and Ozan Ülke from the band Neopol founded their electronic music production studio Deep White Records in Istanbul. In 2015 he founded his own record label Subluminate Records. Samet Özgür predominantly uses progressive big-room electro house tracks in his sets, but also incorporates complextro, progressive house and sometimes progressive trance.

In his case, UFe manifests himself as an explosion of diverse musical influences and genres that create a unique style which resists easy categorization. From the ancestral rhythms of Africa and the tropical sounds of Latin America, to the jazz and funk breaks that made the foundation of hip hop, plus some of the electronic music currently enjoying a vogue, many elements have helped shape his style into an admirably eclectic music. He blends this vastly diversified repertoire into his own sound and expresses it into his own idiom with imaginative synthesis that makes the listening a vigorous and exciting experience. UFe is also an accomplished producer, experiments with percussion and is currenly inloved in live projects such as Kosmic Blues and Groove Hug.

Search | Add | 8 | Axlubi-X | Axlubi-X is a opened crew and music band originally from A Coruña (nordwest Spain), from the borough of Agra del Orzán. They met up firstly back to 2009, in improvised music jams in a social center of the barrio. every day, along two months, they met evenings together with other musicians and artists to djing and rapping. After that, Saco and Papis Diao made official band Axlubi-X and very soon they gave their first shows. Axlubi-X stands for a opened and spontan community. Axlubi its a word in Dakar which refers a place in the streets of this city where people come and go, often before don't know each one, play something and have smalltalks. "X" means anonymous, nobody is relevant in the band. There are official members, but no one is fixed. "X" it's also in the name because is the letter which always begins the ID card of immigrants in Spain. It's such a mark with the spanish state classifies people in groups for his use and values. Since 2011 they record professionally their tracks with their own mediums and knowledge, in different places which build up together "Axlubi Studios". In 2012, Niggaché and Omar Master joined the crew officially, not as newcomers, actually as a comeback because they were also in the origins of the band, they participated too. Axlubi-X existence it's quiet complex, because each member comes of a different country in the world, they just came together on a point, but they are constantly on the road because life experiences. And they are also in different lifetimes, different ages, that's makes the teamwork also special. But this all mixes up a band with different faces, styles and tastes where each life experience has a strong effect in the band. It's Axlubi-X. Nobody seems to be relevant, the crew it's what you see, but you can't understand them without to watch out to the members under this name. As the society, people it's treated as zero many times, forgotten in an anonymous life where nobody cares about the other, but there is a chance to work together, make something special for you and then bring something out to be free, to be one and to be yourself.

Band was founded in 1998 in Belgrade, Serbia, and very soon they have gained the reputation of one of the fastest bands on the hardcore/metal scene. 2000 saw the band release it’s first album titled Kerber je mama (this time they made fun of famous Serbian hard rock band Kerber in the title of the album. “Kerber Is Awesome”) Since then they have released 4 more albums (Drugi Album in 2002, 8PII in 2003, KRVAVI PIR in 2005 and last one Treća Sofra was released in 2007.) They are well known for their speedy thrashing riffs and almost too loud to bear music onslaught all packed just in a few minutes in all of their songs, their lyrical themes are always about the horror movies and the creatures from them and also about black humour. Almost all of their shows are always full of rowdy headbanging and moshing maniacal fans. Osmi Putnik Dva shared stages with Napalm Death, FullsizE, Hitman, Šaht and many more domestic and foreign bands. 2008 saw the band mark their 10th year anniversary by playing 3 hour sets of their complete discography with small pauses in between them.

His family included brother Morris Loewenstern and sister Julia Loewenstern Glick. They moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1929. Hugo was given his first saxophone at the age of six. A child prodigy on sax and clarinet, he won first honors in national competitions and at age 9 was featured in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not for memorizing 76 classical compositions. An Amarillo High School graduate, he trained at the Eastman School of Music. Hugo toured extensively with the famous big bands of Jack Teagarden, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey and Sonny Burke appearing as a soloist, on the Burke Orchestra’s recording of Ella Fitzgerald 1951. In between gigs, he returned to Amarillo to lead his own band at the Nat, the Avalon, and the Aviatrix. He married Mary Lou Parr in 1951. Years before as a teenager, she’d danced to the music of the bandleader on stage who would later become her future husband of sixty-five years. Eventually settling in Amarillo, Hugo joined his father and brother in the family business, Hugo H Loewenstern Real Estate Co. In 1943, Hugo joined the armed services and was in the Air Force Band, then later transferred to the Infantry until his discharge in 1946. He volunteered his band to the community, including the Lake Tanglewood (Amarillo, Texas) 4th of July celebrations, and nursing homes with singer wife Mary Lou. His professional career saw a solo album for Capitol Records, Who Said Good Music Is Dead, with the late composer Johnny Richards, who wrote original pieces for Hugo including The Magic of Arabis, which he performed as guest artist with the Amarillo Symphony in 1966. He continued musical associations with trumpeter, Doc Severinsen, Laurindo Almeida and others. Amarillo saw performances with friends and family in a newly formed jazz group. He was a founding member of the Amarillo Woodwind Quintet. The recording Music for Art, features songs by daughter, Tara Hugo and album sleeve artwork by Mary Lou. In 2001, KACV public television (Amarillo, Texas) produced the documentary "That Alto Man" celebrating his life and career. |

The first few albums were recorded completely using 4-Track and external cassettte machines, and in a very rudamentary fashion, using a couple of synths and drum machines. The recordings were done straight onto tape, without any signal processing, giving the material a raw sound. Additional overdubs were done with thru a stereo system, recording the new tracks with a microphone. All albums have been produced by coL.

Search | Add | 8 | Jon Alkalay | Growing up in Brazil and later moving to Austin, TX, exposed me to so many different influences.... but it all started at home, my dad was a classical music aficionado and wonderful baritone and my mom, who immigrated from Portugal, continues singing Fados beautifully. Besides these huge influences, I grew up listening to different Latin, American and European pop, rock and EDM, which is all reflected in the music I make. But my main inspiration are the 80s synthpop bands such as Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Duran Duran... I moved to the US in 2000 in the midst of the music industry collapsing due to all piracy and internet, which ended up forcing me to take a new direction in life. After many years in the corporate world, I decided it was time to let my music come out and live my dream. By the way, that is what my first single is about, Putting Myself First!

Search | Add | 8 | Disco Or Die! | Tony Postigo | Disco or Die! is the new project managed by the legendary DJ/producer Tony Postigo. His philosophy is to rescue all those old forgotten 70s & 80s songs to give them a second life through a 21st century energetic sound, but heavily influenced by the purest Disco & Funk roots. As Disco Or Die! likes to say, he considers himself some kind of 'music archaeologist', so don't expect to hear the already overused Billie Jean or Earth Wind & Fire samples on some of his productions. It all gets much more original than that :) Do not miss any of the new Disco Or Die! songs that are about to come out! |

After Blind Date ended, Keeling played in Catch 22 and spent some time working on an alternative rock project. Keeling left the rock scene and played drums in country bands from 1997 to 2000 then quit music altogether until he returned to playing bass backing country rock musician Mike Clifford.

Search | Add | 8 | Teclados Fritos | Rock group emerged in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) in 1976. Since its inception they became a clear reference of the frenetic musical activity that was forged in the Islands in the second half of the seventies of the twentieth century. During their first two years they practiced a symphonic / progressive rock with extensive instrumental passages and when they sang, they did it in English. Also its image and staging was groundbreaking for the time, which attracted a lot of attention from the Spanish specialized media as it was a group that was not based in the Iberian Peninsula. Rock, Glam and Sicodélica were marking the evolution of their musical proposal. His recordings never did justice to his sound on stage. In the early 80's they decided to move to Madrid to cement their trajectory and look for new opportunities. But the Madrid stage of Teclados Fritos was not the springboard they expected. The music scene in Madrid was in full metamorphosis towards the New Wave and the Spanish Punk, later called "La Movida" and could not find their space despite being converted as a group in the Besos Rabiosos. They finally dissolved.
