Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 9 | Jazzlib | Taking it back to that real hip hop you gotta touch and feel. The pure essence of droppin' science. Jazzlib, tribe of the Sun. "Jazzlib embodies the values of nature, creativity, one-ness, funk, soul, expression, spontaneity and all-happening. Experiencing the worldly expressions as beautiful flowers that resemble sea urchin barb. It was a mistake that would rule them all because it was the only one that tried." ~Charlie Wellington Cumbersworth the 3rd The Jazzlib is about having fun and reuniting the elements of hip hop that aren't as well integrated these days: MCing, DJing, BBoying and Graff Writting. In the eyes of the Jazzlibs, what's lacking will not be found by changing the music and replicating the golden age, instead it will be found by changing the culture. When the culture supports, promotes and internalizes the values of what Hip-Hop really is (peace, love, unity, respect, having fun) The community attains a level of collective Be-Ness (the ability to be) and the second wave of the golden age will begin. These values constitute a communal environment of infinite creative potential where anything is possible beyond your wildest dreams. The Jazzlib call this place Slumberland and indulge deep into its mystery on their incredibly produced hit track "Jazzlibs In Slumberland" off of their What It Shall Be EP. With this love and acceptance woven into the threading of our culture, mistakes are allowed and become encouraged. The Jazzlib movement states "The greatest threat to creativity in any circumstance is the fear of "making a mistake" and that couldn't be any more true. Its a silly thing to think that something is wrong just because we don't have the means to understand it yet at that moment. This is where the next Jazzlib value enters the spotlight. "Nonsense". Our intellectual understanding of reality is born from symbols/words. Our intellectual understanding of reality is not prescriptive, it is descriptive just as language is. Just as language comes into creation and evolves to describe the infinite so does our culture evolve in the same way. Creation originates as nothing more than an awareness that no words are able to describe, a realization unrecognizable by the mind. A mystery that hides itself in the non-sensory realm because that's where it prefers to be. When nonsense is practiced new methods of understanding are developed and mistakes then become the greatest of creations. | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Beth De Jong | A musician, artist, promoter, and budding producer from Hamilton, Ontario. Beth started playing guitar and singing as a teenager. Started playing in bands in 2014. After her first band [a=Sensei] was fizzling out in 2015 (disbanded in 2016), she picked up the bass for [a=The Pucumber Sasssquash Family Band] while their bass player Annie was away. After Annie returned, she then joined a local choir called [a=Earth, Wind & Choir]. After seeing the local band [a=Pool People], she joined a no-wave band in 2017 with most of its members called [a=Poorage]. After the drummer left in 2018, they changed their name to [a=Human Nun] with Randy Gagne aka [a=Man Made Hill] on percussion and vocals. Later that year, Beth and [a=Graham Bucci] started the darkwave band [a=Concavity]. When [a=Human Nun] couldn't play a couple of gigs, Banananananana was spawned - a 2 piece synth-punk band consisting of Beth and bandmate [a=Drew Taylor (3)]. When the pandemic hit, Human Nun was put on hold. A new project called FO-X.O. with Drew and Dan Hill on bass was formed in 2021 and will be releasing their material later in the year. Members: Francisco D'Uva Gerónimo Godas Rodrigo Godas | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Nickk Dropkick | Nickk Dropkick is a Canadian-American experimental, avant garde, and industrial musician and producer. He gained significance in the early 2010s for pioneering the sea-punk cyber genre variant "slimepunk", and in being an producer of witch house music. In addition to working in cyber genres, Nickk Dropkick has worked with and produced music within the industrial music scene, and is an avid jazz producer. Nickk Dropkick gained his first measure of mainstream success within the Canadian industrial metal band "Death Cartel" (signed with Writ in Water Sound Creations, and based in Kitchener, Ontario). From 2008 to 2012 Dropkick was the bassist and occasional lyricist of the band, and gained exposure within the North American and European industrial music scene, touring and opening for bands on the continent and visiting from Europe. In 2010 Dropkick formed the independent side project "N3rgul", where he began to experiment in electronic music and from the industrial music scene, aid in the development of the growing witch house music genre. On witch house music and according to Dropkick on his Rave Leviathan album- "You know that scene in Blade I, where they're in that vampire club and all of a sudden it goes into slow motion and there's a spray of blood pouring from the ceiling? I wanted to make music like that, just heavy, slow, pulsating, and vicious". In keeping within the transgressive industrial spirit and the avant-garde nature of his works he would later be known by, N3rgul's influences and works spanned a range of genres. With the explosion of cyber genres and internet subcultures in the early 2010s, Dropkick would begin production of his own independent variation within the slime punk genre- focusing on a dirtier, wetter, and more bass sounding genre with ties to earlier acid house. According to Dropkick, the genre is meant to be similar in satirization to vaporwave. Whereas vaporwave focuses on re-imagining capitalism and society through an alternate lens in the 1980s, Slimepunk seeks to reimagine the "trashier" aspects of pop culture from the early 2000s- with a slimer variation on seapunk fashion, nickelodeon decals, and imagery and sounds which ooze. Following his leaving the band Death Cartel in 2012, Dropkick began working on a project with fellow noise and hip-hop artist Ripdae la Wise, called "Plebs & Fuckboys". Released via Spettro Rec, the music featured in Plebs & Fuckboys would blend spoken word, hip hop, industrial, rythmic noise, and techno. All artwork for the projects first six albums were created by Dropkick within his "transgressive style".On the artwork, Dropkick claimed to want to "create imagery which made sacred the profane, and profane the sacrosanct". In 2015 Dropkick would return to metal based music with the industrial-black metal project "Vamacara". In this time period he would also begin experimentation with Jazz music and begin making music under the name Nurgul Jones. A significant work produced by Dropkick in this time was his "Co)))ltrane"- a blend of Sunn O))) and John Coltrane, which would help bring attention to and interest in the dark jazz genre of music within internet subcultures. Of Dropkick's music as Nurgul Jones, the works produced under the moniker remain experimental and often blend the skewed music witch house, memphis rap, industrial metal, neo-folk, dark-jazz within his experimental standard. Under Nurgul Jones, Dropkick has created artwork and propaganda for the Order of the Nine Angels and album art for several noise musicians, including Enbilulugugal. Dropkick has produced music while living in Canada, the United States, and South Korea. As per Plebs & Fuckboys, Dropkick is also a versatile artist specializing in transgressive art. | |

| Search | Add | 9 | Robert Schmertz | American architect and folk musician (born March 4, 1898 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – died June 7, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Schmertz graduated in architecture from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) in 1921, worked as an architect for more than thirty-five years, and taught at Carnegie Tech for more than thirty years before retiring in 1965. A self-taught banjo player, Schmertz became an influential writer of folk songs, many focused on early Pittsburgh lore. His song "Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord" was recorded by [a=Burl Ives], [a=Tennessee Ernie Ford], the [a=Statler Brothers], [a=Bruce Low], and [a=Gary Crosby]. His song "Monongahela Sal" was covered by [a=Pete Seeger]. As a student, Schmertz also wrote the Carnegie Tartans' fight song, "Fight for the Glory of Carnegie." Schmertz himself only began recording in 1949 when family and friends bought him time in a local recording studio. Only 300 copies of the resulting 78rpm album, "Songs by Robert Schmertz," were produced, but they helped to spread his reputation as the "Stephen Foster of Pittsburgh." In 1955, Schmertz released a second album, "Robert Schmertz Sings His Songs," this time on LP. Two other albums followed, "Sing Oh! the City Oh!: Songs of Early Pittsburgh" ([l=Folkways Records], 1959) and "Ladies Beware of an Architect: Songs for Architects and Their Girlfriends" (1960). | |

Romark was a fascinating hypno-therapist and in 1971 he allegedly hypnotised an audience of smokers and 1000 of them gave up smoking. Among some of his more colourful encounters is the curse he reputedly placed on the Crystal Palace football team and an attempt to hypnotise Muhummad Ali into losing to Yorkshire boxer Richard Dunn in 1976. He is reputedly the first man to "die'" on stage by hanging for nearly four minutes before bringing himself to life again. He holds five records in the Guiness Book of Records for the longest-running one-man show. Romark is also infamous for attempting to prove his psychic powers by driving a car blindfolded which resulted in a collision with a police car. He was also an actor, appearing in Mannix (1967), Flip (1970) and The Merv Griffin Show (1962). Romark died of a stroke in December 1982 in Torbay, Devon, England, not long after being released from prison where he served a 4 and a half month stretch for embezzling cash from his mother while she was ill in hospital. |

I think that many of us who formed successful bands from the 90's forgot that certain detail in a certain way; So the members showed more interest in the profitability or commercial than to see the union of their groups. That was the reason why there were so many dissolved groups. In short, one learns from his mistakes, what is important, and learns to put priorities in his life and I know my own: God, my family, my career, my presidency in Sayce and my students at the University. |

| Search | Add | 8 | Ki Mantle Hood | Ki Mantle Hood (24 June 1918, Springfield, IL, USA - 31 July 2005, Ellicott City, MD, USA) was an American ethnomusicologist and composer. After studying composition privately with Ernst Toch (1945–50), Hood completed the AB in music (1951) and the MA in composition (1952) at UCLA. He took the doctorate on a Fulbright fellowship at the University of Amsterdam with [a=Jaap Kunst] with a dissertation on the Javanese modal system (1954). During the same year he became an instructor at UCLA, where he initiated the first formal programme in ethnomusicology. Following fieldwork in Indonesia on a Ford Fellowship (1956–8), Hood returned to UCLA and was appointed assistant professor (1956), associate professor (1959) and full professor (1962); he also founded the Institute of Ethnomusicology in 1961. Hood was the first scholar to offer training in the performance of non-Western music (in Javanese and Balinese gamelan). His emphasis on performance participation or ‘bi-musicality" as an essential aspect of research is a major contribution to the field |
