Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | Aveorm | Anton Mashinistov | AVEORM is a seasoned musician. In 2002 he graduated from Kim Nazaretov's school of jazz music as a drummer. Subsequently he played jazz, blues, funk, pop, disco, rock, metal, punk and hardcore in various bands, while also learning analogue synths and digital music production, which eventually led him to start making music on his own. After years spent in the quest for his distinct sound and style, he decided to focus on his solo projects and began collaborating with his fellow musicians to discover new horizons of music. His Aveorm project dates back to 2009. The artist takes lively part in activities of SSI Records label and is often engaged in various parties, raves and festivals. In 2011 he won first place in Zima Laptop Battle that was held in Krasnodar, Russia. His music has been released by SSI Records, Russian Techno, EMC (an electro label from St. Petersburg, as Octopus), German vinyl electro label Mystery X, MNMN Records and a number of other independent labels. Anton tightly cooperates with many talented musicians, creating remixes for Malakena Display, iiney, Symphocat, among others. Tracks by Aveorm can be heard in mixtapes of such notable producers as Kirk DeGiorgio, on Polish radio and on the Dub Techno podcast. He's also releasing experimental, ambient, drone, idm and jungle music under various aliases - as Invertropol, Octopus, Simulacrix, MINOR, to name a few. He performs his own music live. Stylistically, Aveorm's music can be described as an explosive brew of techno, detroit, acid, deep house, electronic breakbeat and electro. |

Search | Add | 8 | Schlangengeist | Matt Bonk | One-man experimental industrial black metal / symphonic project created by Noise Nazi originally in 2017. Originally the demo "Nocturnal Feast" was recorded in summer of 2017. It featured nothing but electronic noise & dark ambiance with an emphasis on distorted & tortured vocal FX. "Immortal Beast" was recorded in 2018 & went toward a more conventional black metal style. Both demos were shelved & unknown to the public until a re-release of "Nocturnal Feast" was featured on Narkotik Analog Recordings in 2021. Since then, Schlangengeist has made a total of 3 demos, 1 rehearsal, a compilation tape & 1 split. The project went on to mix industrial, noise & power electronics with simplistic bass, guitar riffs & synth melodies. Forming "black metal" in a much more unconventional sense, with elements of grindcore, death metal, war metal & more. This project does not care about 'talent'. |

Search | Add | 8 | Mustafa Avdic | Mustafa Avdić | The names Mustafa and Iowa would never associate, but over the course of the past 10 years he has been responsible for, or directly involved in countless Techno music events organized in Iowa. Originally from Bosnia, Mustafa has managed to bond and nurture a flourishing Underground Dance Music scene in the state of Iowa, and he has garnered the full attention of fans and fellow DJs alike by performing to wild crowds across the Midwest in addition to releasing his own original music production. Mustafa has released and remixed material for various music artists around the globe over the past 5 years. His career began in Des Moines, Iowa, but his DJ performance has taken him to stages across the Midwest, as well as the world. In 2007, he co-formed the first Techno music label in Iowa. Solar Cathedral Recordings successfully operated for three years and featured globally recognized releases and remixes from producers DJ Misjah, Woody McBride, Dustin Zahn, Mladen Tomic, M.Gervais, Dejan Milicevic, and many more. Mustafa is a man of many talents, but he specializes in drawing a crowd and spinning them into a frenzy on the dance floor. His strength at working a crowd is a natural extension of his deep passion for making people dance. His energy is infectious; his love and enthusiasm are contagious! Anyone who experiences his performances will, no doubt, become a believer - not only in him, but also in Techno music! |

However, it was only a period, and the walls of religion are not sufficient for artist with a broad vision, so six months later he returned to the familiar life and moved to his hometown of St. Petersburg. Here in cultural capital of Russia he started to collaborate with different artists, made projects with creative association Outsiders Club, joined to St. Petersburg Orchestra of improvisation for some concerts, composed music for music for photo exibitions, short films, video games and other projects. As a rule, they were quartets, sometimes also trios, which mainly played wind instruments. Most of the time the musicians wore black bowler hats, more rarely also top hats. Their fixed routes through certain parts of the city had to be officially approved. It is said that they mainly had well-known Hamburg songs in their repertoire and that some days they made people dance on the streets. The name goes back to Leberecht Pankoken, son of a clarinet player from Krempe, who came to the city around 1850 and founded (instead of a brass orchestra) the first Pankokenkapelle.

Search | Add | 8 | Los Angeles Police Band | The Los Angeles Police Concert Band | The LAPD Concert Band (also known as "L.A.'s OWN") was formed in 1914 as the official band of the Los Angeles Police Department and the City of Los Angeles. Originally made up entirely of sworn officers, it played regularly for police recruit graduations, and a wide number of police and civic functions. After WWII, soon-to-become LAPD officer, [a306698], had worked as a commercial pilot. Roddenberry, who is best remembered for creating the original Star Trek television series, had been raised in Los Angeles, where his father had been an LAPD officer. Since a boy, he had also known William H. Parker, who would become Chief of Police. Roddenberry decided his own future should be as a television writer and that the ideal training ground for that career would be the Los Angeles Police Department. The future creator of Star Trek had been particularly impressed with Parker’s openness to new ideas as well as his intellectual curiosity. Years later, these characteristics were to inspire one of his most famous characters, Spock, the half Vulcan, half human, ultra-rational Science Officer of the fictional Starship Enterprise. William Parker died just days before Star Trek premiered, on Sept. 8, 1966. The Watts Riots a year earlier had made him something of a household name. And yet no one — perhaps not even [a278871], the actor chosen to portray Spock — knew that the character's dual nature was [a306698]’s tribute to the late chief. Howard Jarvis, a pugnacious businessman was the principal architect of the infamous Proposition 13, formally called the People’s Initiative to Limit Property Taxation. Jarvis a pillar of bombast became the public face of the referendum — a "prophet of fiscal rectitude" to his admirers. He was unfazed by severe spending reductions that the proposition forced upon many communities and institutions. “The most important thing in this country is not the school system, nor the police department, nor the fire department,” he said. “The right to preserve, the right to have property in this country, the right to have a home in this country — that’s important.” He drew inspiration from another Howard: Beale, the mad newscaster in the 1976 film “Network.” The fictional Beale was immortalized by his signature line: “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!” In 1978, driven by the small of stature, yet bigger-than-life Jarvis, California voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 13, which lowered property taxes for millions of the state’s homeowners. However, its passage reduced tax funding to the LAPD, which meant that active police officers were required to dedicate their duty hours exclusively to enforcement, not as musicians. As a result, the band was dissolved. Shortly after the band dissolved, a group of civic leaders headed by theater owner, Bob Ahmanson, and [a306698], formed an all-volunteer band under the direction of John Campbell. Throughout the 1980s the band expanded into the 75-member ensemble it is today. Many of its members are well-known professional artists who play in local symphonies, big bands, and as studio musicians. We also feature a cadre of experienced amateur musicians, many of whom are retired from professions in the law, medicine, and education. Now under the direction of Maestro Richard Allen, the band is poised to reach out to the communities within the City of Los Angeles and beyond on behalf of the LAPD, having been designated "LA's OWN." |

He started playing the guitar and singing at the age of 10, with an improvised instrument using a can and a wooden handle. Then, he hosted wedding parties, baptisms... It was at the age of 17 that he composed his first song entitled "rouhene oussane ilhane". In 1978, Rachid left for the army in Sidi bel Abbès, a national service during which he worked as a nurse. During the year 1980, he decided to record his first album in Algiers "Rouhen ouissen ilhane" before leaving for France where he found an international Divox publisher who would take care of everything, to release the album on vinyl and cassette tape. It was played quite often on channel 2 in Algeria and on radio waves in France. Galvanized by the good work done and the favorable response aroused by this album, Babaci decided in 1982 to produce a second album (a tribute to mothers) on Oasis Disc. In 1985, the artist did it again with a third album under the name "Tamurt-iw" on Editions Berberes and in 1987, he made his 4th album "Seg Mettawen-iw". His fifth album was released in 1989 "Afrux Idurarchez". In addition, in 1991, with his sister [a=Jedjiga], they made a video clip in Kabylia, under the direction of Ahcene Osmani and Djamel Bendeddouche and produced by Mustapha Aouchiche. The remarkable work was a resounding success inspiring even many other singers. In parallel, the singer Rachid Babaci put in 1994 on the market, his sixth album entitled "Athina Hajven Leswar" and continued with the shooting of the 2nd video tape in 1994 in Algeria. Since that date, Rachid Babaci has moved away from production, currently living in the north of France while keeping an eye on music and his native Kabylia. |

After eight years, in 2020, he decided to focus on electronic music production and started a project called "2K.” The word "2K" projects the degeneration of both music and the music industry from the year 2000 to the end of the millennium. The sound is created by building layers of distorted frequencies via a rhythmic flow of noisy beats, resulting in an acerbic ambiance throughout the entire mix. 2K’s sonic palette betrays the influence of artists such as Autechre, Merzbow, Aphex Twin, Dhangsha, DSPSSSSD, Death Grips, Ryoji Ikeda, Ho99o9, and The Prodigy.

One year later the drummer T.R. of the same attitude crossed their path and fit very well into this now inversed triangle, named Archaic Thorn. We only follow our own visions about the sound, feeling and aesthetics of this music. We spread the words of Messorem, as life is a beautiful lie and death the painful truth. Mark these words. Line-up: T.R. – drums C.L. – gitaar M.F. – vocalen, bas

Search | Add | 8 | Just Another Girl | Tony Pooley | Formed in the early 90's in Slough, Berkshire, UK, by Tony Pooley (vocals and guitar), with Jane Wilson(Bass guitar). Mark Francis programmed the drum machine which was used live. The JAG's played regularly round the Slough/Reading/Windsor area, occasionally venturing in to London for gigs at the Rock Garden and the Swan, in Fulham amongst others, using film samples between songs for which they became known. The band eventually recruited Steve Wilson from The God's of Chaos on lead guitar and Julian Turner Bell from Slough band Space Junk on drums and went out as a "conventional" band. Life took it's toll on this version of the band and they broke up after recording the "T" album, which featured Martin Kennedy of Paradise Alley standing in on bass guitar. The band went into hibernation until Tony returned with the 360 Degrees of Sky EP in 2009. |
