Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 8 | The Skull School | Alving Marruffo | The Skull School is a musical project by Venezuelan musician and producer Alving Marruffo. The project started as a hobby in 2010 but quickly turned into a serious way of making music. The Skull School has released four albums. In 2011 Alving started S5 Records and released Noise, The Skull School's debut LP. Noise is a raw experimental album that features a very lo-fi sound and almost unfinished production, using samples from many tracks of different genres. This sample technique defined his future releases, like No Faces. Released in 2012, No Faces was Alving's second album as The Skull School. On this album, Alving experimented with vocal samples and began to pay more attention to the details, which resulted in a better produced record compared to his debut. The Skull School also made his first video, it was a self-produced video for the track "Le Contrôleur". In 2013, S5 Records merged with Eight Recordings and later that year The Skull School started to work on his third album, High Sounding Waves, which came out on March of 2014. High Sounding Waves represented a big step for The Skull School's carreer because it took his production techniques to a whole new level and improved the quality of the record, and while his other two LPs only contained songs made out of sampes and experimentation, High Sounding Waves was the first Skull School album to feature original compositions along with his signature sample work. On December of that year, The Skull School released a video for the song "Contact (The Report)" and like his first video, it was also produced by Alving Marruffo. Said video received a nomination at the Pepsi Music Awards 2015 in the category Electronic Video of the Year. On October of 2015, The Skull School published This Is The Aftermath, his fourth album, which marks a new beginning that feels like a debut to Alving. In this new album, Alving worked with original compositions on all the tracks and developed a new sound with a large presence of synths and 80s influence, that makes this release a lot more professional and conventional, music wise and production wise. This album is the first to feature guests artists and is his second album released by Eight Recordings. In 2016, The Skull School was nominated again at the Pepsi Music Awards, this time receiving three nominations: Electronic Song of the Year for his song with Maxilar Break Down "Nos Vemos Entonces", Electronic Album of the Year for his fourth album This Is The Aftermath and Electronic Artist of the Year. |

Search | Add | 8 | Christallen | Christallen was formed in 1963 in Falköping, Sweden. The group worked until 1971 in various constellations. Christallen started out as a pure song group but over the years the music developed and the blues section took on a more prominent role. In this way, you created your own profile. Lennart Sjöholm, who was a foreground figure within the group, composed his own songs and lyrics and arranged all material for the group. Christallen appeared in various contexts in churches, sports arenas and concert venues as well as in various entertainment events and places of worship, because they wanted to reach outside the church's framework. Often the group played in front of crowded premises. Among other things, they participated in and introduced the youth program Gospel Night together with Offensive Nytt Liv. The group also participated in several gospel gala, including with the choir [a=Choralerna]. Christallen toured all over the country but also in Denmark and Norway. They also participated in radio and TV and released 4 EPs and 3 albums.

Search | Add | 8 | Rosalie James | Singer, songwriter, miserabilist. Rosalie was born in Cornwall, in the far South West of the UK. She had a musical upbringing; her childhood memories are of climbing trees and reading books with an eclectic soundtrack on a bright yellow Sony Walkman including The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Monkees, Steely Dan, The Bangles, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Kate Bush and David Bowie. Rosalie’s father, always a working roadie and musician, toured the US with The Grateful Dead and other bands during the 1970s, creating the belief that life as a musician was always only a small step away. She started learning the piano at 5 and the guitar at 14 and sang to anyone who would listen. Rosalie started out creating song and dance routines to Madonna and Michael Jackson, then grew out of that and spent hours moodily playing guitar along with The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, U2, The Lemonheads and REM. Rosalie’s teenage years were spent obsessing over Suede, Blur, Elastica, Sleeper, Pulp, The Divine Comedy and The Longpigs, although she never realised her dream of fronting an indie band or of marrying Evan Dando. She continues to love both the earnest and emotional synthpop and the edgier new wave of the 1980s (Roxy Music, Cocteau Twins, Sparks). In the early 2000s Rosalie began writing and recording in ambient/down-tempo electronica duo Delaware with guitarist and producer Benjamin Morgan, influenced by Zero 7 and Air. Although Delaware played very few gigs, one song ‘I Can Get Out’ was used in US series The Black Donnellys, sparking a life-long ambition to get a song on Grey’s Anatomy. Rosalie has since performed in various bands, building her confidence as a songwriter, pianist and backing singer. She formed pop-folk band All the Fires in 2008 and performed as lead singer in Cornwall and around the UK to a steadily growing and loyal fan base. All the Fires released their debut album ‘Territories’ in 2012 to popular acclaim but the band ended in early 2013 – a subject Rosalie will talk about at length if required to but would much rather leave to your imagination. Rosalie’s work is an unusual mixture of melancholy and mischievousness. Her voice and songs can be heart-breaking, but coupled with a wry, sardonic humour and a propensity for candid on-stage and lyrical revelations about her own mental health (which she self-describes as “a fun combination of autistic traits and EUPD”), religion, heartbreak, television and substance abuse it makes for an interesting show. Rosalie makes no apology for including her own versions of popular hits by Kate Bush, Radiohead, Billy Bragg, The Cure, The Eagles, Nine Inch Nails and many others in her set. These sit comfortably alongside Rosalie’s own compositions, in which the influence of the classic songwriting of the 70s, the 80s’ emotional depth and 90s’ hooky indie melodies can be clearly felt. Rosalie says that she has repeatedly tried to give up music but that it just won’t seem to go away. She is now recording her debut album, which predicts a move towards the atmospheric LA indie/dreampop sound (think Phoebe Bridgers, Cigarettes After Sex, Sharon Van Etten, Lucy Dacus). Her joy in writing and performing both her own and others’ songs is evident and what is guaranteed is that in every performance and every recording, Rosalie gives you a little piece of her accidentally massive heart.

Search | Add | 8 | Rafael Da Cruz | Rafael Da Cruz | Rafael Da Cruz is a DJ and producer whose work embraces atmospheric techno and deep, wide soundscapes with a sleek sense for the contemporary Zeitgeist. He is a resident DJ at Cologne's renowned Gewölbe Club since 2012. He has toured across Europe, South America and Asia. Following his first record in 2014, he has released several EP's, as well as radio mixes for the likes of well-known series like Ibiza Sonica, Moodmusic Radioshow, Underground Tel Aviv and others. Born in a rural area in the north of Portugal, Rafael Da Cruz grew up as a ‘90s kid near Cologne in Germany and has been dedicated to music ever since he was a teenager. He began working in music journalism as soon as he left school, then went on to make a name for himself as a DJ and producer. Hosting parties and his “Right To Love” night soon led to a residency at Gewölbe, where he has invited national and international friends to play ever since. An emblematic night might see him open with a gentle set, whose sound is incorporated in an organic base, before coming back to close the night with straight-up elements, rounded off with a sweeter vibe to the end. His 2014 release “Renaissance” on the legendary Bavarian imprint Compost Records was followed by “Rex” in 2015, which included an outstanding remix from André Lodemann. The next few years saw him extend his discography with labels including Moodmusic, ISOLATE, and Berlin-based DUATRECORDS. Recent tracks “Bes” and “Saqqara” are pared-down and nuanced, witnessing to the same deep reflection and careful attention to the sonic journey that he brings to his sets. Accustomed to the vibrant international club scene, Rafael Da Cruz has been using the lockdown to carve out more time for production and composing with different musicians, and for his latest collaborative project, “Ona Sonora” - a series of holistic travel experiences across Europe and North Africa combining electronic music, nature, and rituals. He is currently based in Berlin. |

Search | Add | 8 | Chaos Maths | Chaos Maths formed in 2001 as a combination of each members individual pursuits in this culture we call Hip Hop. Jodes was DJing around town, Dave was putting down that raw lyrical material, and Bang was writing, producing and programming the only weekly Hip Hop radio show west of the Blue Mountains (2MCE-FM, Bathurst). What was blindingly obvious to others eventually dawned on the crew, and collectively they said: ‘Let’s start a band!’ Since then Chaos Maths have performed alongside Katalyst, 1200 Techniques, sonicanimation, TZU, Bliss n’ Eso, Urthboy, Ozi Batla, Celcius, Upshot, Morganics, 2-Up, Sleeping Monk and on and on and on. Their first self-titled release received generous support in the form of airplay from community radio stations nationwide, and their debut film clip for the song ‘Therapy Session’ has been aired on Rage, the greatest music video show in the world.

Search | Add | 8 | Just Another Girl | Tony Pooley | Formed in the early 90's in Slough, Berkshire, UK, by Tony Pooley (vocals and guitar), with Jane Wilson(Bass guitar). Mark Francis programmed the drum machine which was used live. The JAG's played regularly round the Slough/Reading/Windsor area, occasionally venturing in to London for gigs at the Rock Garden and the Swan, in Fulham amongst others, using film samples between songs for which they became known. The band eventually recruited Steve Wilson from The God's of Chaos on lead guitar and Julian Turner Bell from Slough band Space Junk on drums and went out as a "conventional" band. Life took it's toll on this version of the band and they broke up after recording the "T" album, which featured Martin Kennedy of Paradise Alley standing in on bass guitar. The band went into hibernation until Tony returned with the 360 Degrees of Sky EP in 2009. |

Search | Add | 8 | Axlubi-X | Axlubi-X is a opened crew and music band originally from A Coruña (nordwest Spain), from the borough of Agra del Orzán. They met up firstly back to 2009, in improvised music jams in a social center of the barrio. every day, along two months, they met evenings together with other musicians and artists to djing and rapping. After that, Saco and Papis Diao made official band Axlubi-X and very soon they gave their first shows. Axlubi-X stands for a opened and spontan community. Axlubi its a word in Dakar which refers a place in the streets of this city where people come and go, often before don't know each one, play something and have smalltalks. "X" means anonymous, nobody is relevant in the band. There are official members, but no one is fixed. "X" it's also in the name because is the letter which always begins the ID card of immigrants in Spain. It's such a mark with the spanish state classifies people in groups for his use and values. Since 2011 they record professionally their tracks with their own mediums and knowledge, in different places which build up together "Axlubi Studios". In 2012, Niggaché and Omar Master joined the crew officially, not as newcomers, actually as a comeback because they were also in the origins of the band, they participated too. Axlubi-X existence it's quiet complex, because each member comes of a different country in the world, they just came together on a point, but they are constantly on the road because life experiences. And they are also in different lifetimes, different ages, that's makes the teamwork also special. But this all mixes up a band with different faces, styles and tastes where each life experience has a strong effect in the band. It's Axlubi-X. Nobody seems to be relevant, the crew it's what you see, but you can't understand them without to watch out to the members under this name. As the society, people it's treated as zero many times, forgotten in an anonymous life where nobody cares about the other, but there is a chance to work together, make something special for you and then bring something out to be free, to be one and to be yourself.

Dressed in Blåshjuden's traditional dolma with gold bridle and red velvet (the color of medicine), we play a wide repertoire where the basis is marching music. Every other year, Blåshjuden travels on campaigns to spread the gospel of marching music around the world. The destination for each trip is Japan, but so far we have not managed to get all the way there. USA, Soviet Union, Germany, Great Britain and Poland here to the countries where Blåshjuden played. Today, Blåshjuden has about 30 active members, both students and fully trained doctors. We rehearse once a week during term time and perform 10-20 times a year.

Search | Add | 8 | Nobilitas Nigra | Both members also involved in bands April Ethereal, Oktor and Surt. Nobilitas Nigra was formed as a side-project to a band, which name will forever remain unknown. The band saw the light of the moon for the first time in april 1999 Anno Bastardi. Nobilitas Nigra, inspired by northern beliefs and culture, as well as by the art of Immortal, Satyricon, Gorgoroth, Mayhem, recorded one of the most brutal debiut materials in polish underground - "Celebrating The Northern Altar" and temporarily splitted up. In october 1999 Anno Bastardi the band entered once again the studios in order to record the material which brought total annihilation to the Earth. "Gloria Sathanas", containing faster and more brutal black metal art, was meant to kill the few who have survived "Celebrating..." demo. One month after "Gloria Sathanas" was released, the band members decided to definitively split up because they thought it was impossible for a human being to play faster than the music contained on the "GS" demo. In may 2000 anno bastardi Vicomte Kveldulv and Kniaz Krig entered the studios in order to record and to release the most brutal black metal art ever heard... If you are reading these words, it means that you are still alive after the two previous NN demos, or you didn't had the chance to listen to Nobilitas Nigra music. The last (but not lesat) NN masterpiece is called "The Only True Armageddon" and is the most professionnally edited one. The sound is powerful, Krig used 3 guitar tracks instead of one, the songs are a bit longer (about 30 seconds) and are faster and more brutal. "The Only True Armageddon" is the first NN release which will have a color layout and will be promoted in Poland and in the world, in Russia for example.

Search | Add | 8 | Majkol Jay | Majkol (Michael) Giannarelli | Majkol (Michael) Giannarelli, aka Majkol Jay, begins his artistic career in the panorama of house music, fueled by his passion for Funk and Disco music from the 70s which immediately led him to work in the best clubs in Tuscany and beyond. Majkol Jay starts as a resident DJ in the La Canniccia Club of Versilia and later in the best clubs in Tuscany, where he meets several important DJ producers who have incentivized him in the creation of his musical projects, coming to produce in 2006 his first single entitled "Welcome in My Head" produced for Chameleon Records, a label with which artists like Alex Neri have collaborated. The track is supported by various DJ producers, and in particular inserted in the live sets of the Djs of Diabolika Events, and live on M2O radio with the Dj Emanuele Inglese. Following his experience with various labels, Majkol obtains an important collaboration with the historic record label OceanTrax Records and with the DJ Producer Gianni Bini. Thus the success comes with the singles "Free Download" and "Without You", where the latter in a few days from the release reaches the first place in the House ranking, in one of the most important online sales portals and becomes part of the Top Tracks of 2015, obtaining important supports in particular from Dj Mark Knight, David Penn, Jay Vegas, Bronx Cheer and many others. Majkol has had important collaborations in recent years such as with the singers Sara Grimaldi, Loredana Majuri, Liz Hill, EleNoire and Andrea Love, making successful singles and therefore entering the international music scene, distinguishing himself for his eclectic and energetic sound, preferring a refined groove and the creation of harmonies and melodies that draw inspiration from the greatest pioneers of electronic music, House, Funk and Disco from the 70s, thus giving life to unique and magnetic sounds. |

In March-Apr of 1993, Jeff Warmouth recorded two sessions with [a=Juntaro Yamanouchi], a founder of the notorious Japanese band Gerogerigegege. Jeff was handling bass/electronics, and also announcing track titles, to which Juntaro would respond with a few seconds of violent screams and bursts of harsh noise as 'songs.' Everything was recorded with 'no overdub, no effect, no speed'—as per Gerogerigegege's 1-2-3-4 noisecore canon. These sessions were released on [m=23370] 7" by German label [l=A.I.P.R.] and [m=23392] 7" on Italian [l=SOA Records]. Both releases featured similar comics-style pornographic artwork (in a complete 'triptych' with [l1096]'s [m=23372] 7" that didn't include any music whatsoever).

Search | Add | 8 | Los Hermanos Alvarado | Los Hermanos Alvarado | Los Hermanos Alvarado were a trio of string Christian music, whose musical career spanned three decades. It was conformed by the brothers Román, Rosario and Juan Alvarado. In a certain sense, stringed music, with the special use of the guitar, opened the way for Latin American Pentecostals to meet their faith with their own culture. The guitar had great influence on music, which extended to the liturgy and Pentecostal theology. Family history: Pascual and Dolores Alvarado, emigrated to the United States from northern Mexico, in the first decade of the Mexican Revolution. Pascual had fought in the ranks of Pancho Villa and Venustiano Carranza. The couple had seven children, who were born in Texas, Arizona and California. The parents and grandparents of Los Hermanos Alvarado, belonged to the first generation of Pentecostal converts of the name of Jesus Christ Hispanic in Bakersfield, California (being baptized in the name of Jesus in 1916). The Alvarado children had their religious formation under this Pentecostal community. Later they would adhere to the Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus, which is the oldest Spanish-speaking group of Pentecostals of the Name of Jesus Christ, and which was founded in 1925 and incorporated in California (USA) on March 15, 1930. |
