Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

They have been reared on punk, rock & roll culture among the years of 1960 and present day. They are essentially four piece band based in Jitra Kedah, Malaysia and they have a really bad attitude." “Obviously, The Bourjuis has a punk rock sensibility that’s rooted in practicality.” N. RAMA LOHAN - The Star “JUNK recently discovered a band called The Bourjuis (pronounced bor-joo-is) hailing from the northern Malaysian state of Kedah. At first listen, you might wonder if they’re Malaysian. Reason being they sound like band straight out of a garage in Manchester.” MisDeeds - Junk Magazine

Search | Add | 3 | The Feelings Hijackers | The Feelings Hijackers is a duo comprised of Chris Ballew ( front man for The Presidents of the United States of America ) and alternative hip-hop artist Mike "Outtasite" Singleton. The two artists first met during a short lived collaboration called "Subset", a super group teaming The Presidents, and the also multi-platinum Sir Mix-A-Lot. Outtasite (also Mix-A-Lot's protégé) was featuring on the Subset track "What The Hell" and joined Subset for all live shows. During a tour of the west coast, the future duo discovered that there was a lot of musical common ground to be explored. That exploring began in 2004 cutting demos in Chris Ballew's home studio. By the time 1 song turned into 10, Ballew had named this new duo "The Feelings Hijackers" mostly due to the strong mood music quality of the material, and the art of taking, cutting, and pasting from unfinished ideas. During this time the duo released two short run albums "T.F.H." in 2005 and "Skeletal Remains" in 2007. After a lengthy lay off, The Feelings Hijackers partnered up with Magmata Records / Magmata Studios to release the 21 song album aptly titled "SupeRecord" in 2011. Complete with supporting music video's, this album contains a combination of new & unreleased material, and previously released re-mastered favorites. This band was formed in a concept where the feelings of existing songs are hijacked and transformed into TFH songs. Traditionally they will strip the drums from a song and re-do them. Once this done then the main track is taken out and replaced with something that fits well with what's already been replaced.

Search | Add | 3 | Sonia Carré D'As | Sonia Carré d'As began her musical career in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). From 1991 to 1996, she studied music and music theory at the National Institute of Arts and Cultural Action (INSAAC) in Abidjan. Already during this period, she recorded two cassettes, “Carré d'As” (1992) and “Ingratitude” (1996). After that, she returned to Burkina Faso where she was nominated twice for the Kundé d'or prizes (in 2000 and in 2001), she won it in 2001. In the meantime Sonia had already recorded her third album "Tounga", under the guidance of star producer Boncana Maiga. The latter is also responsible for the artist name Sonia Carré d'As, after the title of her very first hit. The album "Tounga" (Tounga means adventure) was only released internationally only in 2002, and it is his only album distributed outside Burkina Faso. The album offers a great variation of styles, starting with the funky title track which changes to Congolese-style sebony (unfortunately too short!). Thereafter, there is "Dji Woyo" in rather Ivorian rhythms as well as an Afro-zouk track "Awou Ye Ben". "Yala Ba" is a Mandinka-sounding song in the style of Boncana Maiga-Ibrahima Sylla, and "Touré" is a strong French song about a man who dates many women and spends a lot of money to enjoy the good life. . The choirs: "...Touré, you have lost your mind..." and further: "the man has lost his mind, the woman has left prison..." surely raged on the dance floors Burkinabe! The song ends with a Congolese sebène, all complete with "atalaku" style animation. In 2007, Sonia released a new album, "N'kanou" which is also distributed digitally internationally.

Search | Add | 3 | Audioteka | Modern and timeless are two words that might seem contradictory, but come in handy when attempting to draw up the span that defines this duo hailing from Krasnoyarsk, Russia. A common love for both vinyl records and the very most modern audio technology got DJ:s Vlad Antonenko (aka Dj Vitamin) and Eddi Shkiper to bring their machines and geniuses together to make music. Tones that echo of futuristic space beats amalgated with heartfelt Siberian melancholy. Or maybe minimal techno channeled through concrete halls, abandoned submarine bases and sound architecht audio labs. You choose. Although originally intended as a live performance project, hard drives soon filled up with deep and experimental audio so violently vivid it would've been a cardinal sin not release them. We can only rejoice in that this honor came upon Astor Bell.

Search | Add | 3 | Ghost Against Ghost | Christopher Bono | Ghost Against Ghost is the post-everything electronic-rock concept and moniker of producer/composer Christopher Bono. Inspired by conceptual, progressive, post and psychedelic rock; art-rock; ambient, experimental, classical music (contemporary and common-practice); the anarchic concepts of late Leo Tolstoy; dystopian epics; and neo-romanticism, Bono founded Ghost Against Ghost in 2008 after he began work on an as yet unfinished two-hour concept album that he envisioned in a dream one night in Brooklyn. To bring the vision to life, Bono assembled a group of electro-acoustic musicians and began performing in New York City & Brooklyn. Within a short time, Ghost Against Ghost became known for their long, multi-media shows featuring “song-oriented-but-stylistically-out-there” forms alternated with open noise, electronic and ambient improvisations. As Bono began preparations for the first Ghost Against Ghost album in 2008, he became increasingly unsatisfied with the infant sound of Ghost Against Ghost. Haunted by continuous visions and auditory hallucinations that demanded he dig deeper, Bono was driven into seven years of near-hermetic isolation as he struggled to develop the technical foundation necessary to bring forth these internal messages.Compelled by the cacophony within, Bono began imagining a sonic landscape different from anything he had encountered. This journey led him to unexpectedly study classical music at the late and unusual age of 27 in search of answers. “I could see the sounds, like a massive and extraordinarily complex piece of architecture, or some sort of alien, psychic sculpture, but I did not know how to realize it technically. … Until I heard Stravinsky.” -Bono Under the tutelage of classical composers such as Stravinsky and Bach and various contemporary composers, Bono began to find answers to the riddle of the Ghost Against Ghost sound.; Over the course of 5 years, Bono released two full classical albums and an EP to critical acclaim. Between these projects, commissions, and commitments, Bono secretly chiseled away on the Ghost Against Ghost material. Finally, after finishing his last album, BARDO, Bono was once more ready to devote his full attention to the insistent call of Ghost Against Ghost. After years of searching and study in isolation within the classical and experimental music fields, Bono had discovered the melodic and rhythmic movement, structure and development he needed to understand to implement Ghost Against Ghost in a current context; the result is an interwoven, wild, sonic tapestry, fused by his knowledge of modern studio production, mixing, engineering and electronics. The first official Ghost Against Ghost release was the epic 15 min work, Checkpoint Charlie. The album was accompanied by an award winning music video by film maker Craig Murray.See it HERE. The first full length Ghost Against Ghost album, still love was released in April, 2017. The album received positive reception including: "Cathartic soul-bearing space prog masterwork." -- Prog Magazine "Still Love is a mighty work of art that juxtaposes pop-sensitivity with an intense listening experience." - Arctic Drones “Evokes a wide array of inspirations to create a vast and intense field of sounds. Bono constructs a darkly spiritual aura in this post-rock inspired composition." -Stereogum "Ghost Against Ghost's New Song "Resume" Is A Slow-Moving, Cinematic Destroyer" -Metal Injection The track Unarm from the still love album also was accompanied by a music video by the visionary film maker Craig Murray. In 2018 a new single Todeserfahrung was released. Currently, Christopher is back in the studio working on a new conceptual Ghost Against Ghost album slated for a 2020 release. |

Search | Add | 3 | Soul Habitat | Soul Habitat is an independent deep house project with musical roots firmly attached to early garage house style. At the same time, it pays tribute to the artists, who were creating the genre and the scene in 80's and 90's. Raw drum sounds, sampled organs along with classic swing grooves - each of Soul Habitat tunes brings the essence of retrospective house music with a modern twist. Throughout the organic and dirty sound, the tracks at some point reflects human life lines - full of imperfections , jumps and sudden twists and turns, but still harmonious and resonant. You can find some melodic parts that are repeated throughout the song and those that only appear for a moment and never returns. All of the tracks are largely inspired by the life of big cities - New York, London, Paris along with many others. The musical flavor of the productions is a combination of sound experiences gained from traveling to those places and inspirations that have been collected by listening to various music genres over the years. Each of the pieces is very often associated to distinctive architecture, cultural heritage and regular way of life of the inhabitants of large cities. When it comes to mixing, Soul Habitat is no newcomer to the scene. More than 10 years of experience in the production (mostly bass music under the name “Ravager”) and DJ-ingdifferent genres helped to evolve a unique style of playing sets. Combiningraw bouncing beats and melancholic soulfultunes, the sets that Soul Habitat plays are the essence from the classic "golden era" style of house music. And they are 100% vinyl. Musical inspirationscomes primarily from artists based in U.S., UK and France - especially those, who promote classical deep house and garage sounds, f.e.: Bicep, Washerman, NY Stomp (Gerd), Kool Vibe, DJ Steaw, Detroit Swindle, Jeremy MLIU, Motor City Drum Ensemble, DJ Nav, Ringard, Squarehead, The Groove Victim, New Jack City, Brawther, Enrico Mantini, Sem & Mike Sharon Ultra Knites, Alex Agore, Steve Huerta and many others.
