Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Ravaged Cannibalistic Baby Cornea Ravaged Cannibalistic Baby Cornea was formed in Cleveland, Ohio in May 2021. Founding members were Frank Henderson on vocals, Jack Soff and Bob Anti-Woke on guitar, Bob Kindertanson on drums and Greg Norton on bass. They all donned pseudonyms though Bob Anti-Woke's real name is unknown but he was known as Bob Indoctrination later after turning liberal and leaving the band. Frank had his name legally changed to Adolf Killface rather than just using at a stage name because he was confused when the other members said they should get new names. The group met each other in a strip club known as Mixer's Gentleman’s Club after they all ordered the same gyro. The band met at Bob K's home for their first practice where Jack and Adolf unveiled some songs they had written. This included the classic track Daily Routine which was the first they sat down to work on. They looked around for gigs and found an opening with another newish band Suicidal Infants who were looking for an opener at the Grog Shop. Suicidal Infants were a little desperate so didn’t look too into them. The show is featured on their EP "Dead But Live" and was recorded off of one of the S.I members' phone. Bob A.W found a person in the crowd known now as George Gay who opened his eyes to left wing politics and Bob quit the band not too long after from disagreements, though he did technically supply the guitar on the black metal closer for their first album, Funeral for the Deceased. The band didn’t really do anything much but meet up a few times as they were mostly too lazy to ever actually have all members show up. They eventually did get together and record their first eponymous album, mixed by Greg Norton. The album was put out on Bandcamp on April 13th, and on streaming like a few weeks later because Routenote is buns but free. The band has released one, more grindcore inspired single since then "Deserved Death" which came out on May 29th. After that they locked in and dropped "Piles of Dead Babies" in July, an album of Grindcore songs and a sequel to Daily Routine known as Nightly Routinex The album also featured a parody of Straight Edge by Minor Threat titled Slanted Edge that was cut on streaming services because they were brokies not trying to pay 80 bucks to release a 40 second song. The band chilled for a while before releasing a beautiful ballad called "A Love Song" inspired by Adolf's new girlfriend whom he met at her high school graduation. The album "Aftermath" later came out on September 11th 2025 and was their longest yet. The album was 40 minutes and featured 23 tracks. The band also figured out they could tune to tunings other than E Standard and so experimented with some other tunings. The album also featured a doom metal song entitled "I Like Drugs" as the closer to the album, it was a song they had started recording during the first album but they lost the song so had to redo it. The album also includes a cover of "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park", the most metal song ever. This song being so bad is thought to have been the cause of Tom Lehrer's death. The band chilled a little but not for too long, recording a Christmas album in November which they played at their office Christmas party. Everyone hated it so much they all got fired, other than Bob K. because he was way less annoying than the others. After this escapade they needed jobs but didn’t want any so they just mooched off Bob K. and stayed at his place, very crowded. The band recorded a new single, I've Got Guns in my Home (For Murder) and are working on an album.

Search Add 3 Love Is A Ghost Love As A Ghost evolved out of an ongoing collaboration between vocalist Char Elizabeth and Producer Tim Newman. Char and Tim first worked together on material for a forthcoming project by David J of Bauhaus. The work took Char’s voice and used it as an element in collage. Char and Tim continued to experiment with styles and techniques looking for their musical home. Everything fell into place when Tim worked on some material by musician and visual artist Craig Tattersall for Brian Records. Craig’s tape manipulations and work with texture was the final piece in the puzzle and Love is a Ghost was born.
Search Add 3 Phonic Psychomimesis Phonic Psychomimesis was conceived at the fall of 2009 in Riga, by two course-mates of philosophy studies who united their will to create an experimental works of sound. The participants of the project are confederates hardcore reflecting on the sound art - they come together irregularly to work on specific topics. The duo pays close attention to various strange sound details of objects and occurences that inhabit our everyday life and space around us - both associatively independent from their materialistic origins or simply vivid and special audio marginalities, viewing them as separate beings and enjoying their sonic autonomy. Guys are perceiving the beauty of these sounds exactly in their intangibility and, in order to experience them as long as possible, they seek to adopt them and to produce an ideally fixed, finite loop similar to gif image. Phonic Psychomimesis are using the zoom of their hearing, makes a sonic autopsy, removing the sounds out of their surroundings and inspecting them separately under the magnifying glass. Project works with the imaginative analysis of sound, focusing on constructing unreal audio situations where the result of the synthesis of different records has rather purely aesthetically grasped identity than empirically descriptive and documenting side. There are dense compositions made, where the thick structures of sound leaves a very tiny space for conceptually stimulated emotional atmospheres. The title of the project should be understood as a mimetic imitation of basic-atoms of psychical conditions via sound. In the theories of mind psychomema is an analogue for semema or the core element of the meaning in semantics.

Search Add 3 Vortex Surfer Noise drone stonerrock psychedelic rock An explosive Dutch noise rock quartet with an affinity for melodic, yet loud, noisy guitar sounds. Vortex Surfer was formed in 2007 around the talents of the brothers Loek Engelen (lead guitar, vocals), Marco Engelen (drums), and friend Bram Stollman (bass). In 2018 they were joined by Michel Epe (guitar, vocals), forming the band’s current line-up. The self-described "loud noise" quartet, who cite bands like Motorpsycho, Sonic Youth, and Elder as their most influential inspirations, started generating regional buzz in 2017 with the release of their infectious first Album "Skypusher", going on to participate in the finals of the prestigious “Nu of Nooit” contest in 2017. Having spent most of 2018 touring and playing shows in both the Netherlands and Germany, the band has been hard at work writing and recording their latest EP, scheduled to be released in mid-2019. The creation of “Versailles” has been a process of self-development and maturation of the sound of the band, who describe the recording session of the EP as putting themselves out there, getting out of their comfort zone and trying to catch a glimpse of the power of their live performances on record. Having refined their razor-sharp sound over the past few years, the new music can be described as full-bodied, almost dream-like noise that can carry you one second, and sweep you off your feet the next.
