Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Architek Percussion ARCHITEK PERCUSSION is a Montreal-based quartet specializing in the performance of experimental, minimalist, multi-disciplinary, crossover, and electroacoustic chamber music. Founded in early 2012, the quartet has quickly established itself as a dynamic force in Canada’s vibrant new music community; equally comfortable in performing classic repertoire and exploring new terrain through commissions and premieres. In addition to self producing concerts in Montreal, Architek regularly tours and appears across Canada and internationally. Recent appearances include New Music Edmonton, live@CIRMMT, PASIC, Ottawa Chamber Music Festival, Virée Classique (OSM), Innovations en Concert, Cluster Festival (Winnipeg), the Music Gallery (Toronto), nu:nord (UK/Norway), and the Scotia Festival of Music (Halifax). In addition, Architek has toured with support from the Conseil des arts de Montréal, Debut Atlantic, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and Jeunesses Musicales Canada. Architek has commissioned and/or premiered over 40 works by composers from Canada, France, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, USA, and the UK. Several of these commissions have led to commercial recording projects, of which Architek appears on five: Bookburners (Nicole Lizée / Centrediscs, 2014), A Boat Upon its Blood (Jason Sharp / Constellation Records, 2016), Metatron (Eliot Britton / Ambiances Magnétiques, 2017), Katana of Choice (Ben Reimer / Redshift Records, 2017), and The Privacy of Domestic Life (Architek Percussion / Centrediscs, 2017). Architek’s diverse regular repertoire is at once engaging and challenging for audiences, and is presented in a manner inspired by the quartet’s belief that given proper context, no audience member should feel alienated by the nature of a performance of contemporary art music. Architek Percussion is Noam Bierstone, Ben Duinker, Ben Reimer, and Alessandro Valiante.

Search Add 3 Scott Krokoff New Yorker Scott Krokoff weaves elements of folk rock & country pop into confessional and compelling Americana. Krokoff is a seasoned songwriter and live performer playing to the popular haunts of the NYC music scene, touring Europe, and has opened for Elle King. Scott’s well-received release of “My Own Terms” was described by music-news.com as “inspiring and powerful” noting that “the second that kick drum comes in to start the song, you can’t help but immediately want to hop in a convertible, put your arms out and ride off into the next chapter of your life.”

Search Add 3 Ian Roegels Ian Roegels Whether it’s time spent consulting with artists on their equipment or time spent in the studio developing a client’s masterpiece, Ian Roegels is a leading industry expert at the forefront of the scene. Though not a household name, he’s been a consistent force for over 30 years with a talent that rivals his contemporaries. He spent his childhood growing up in Oklahoma City learning to play and produce music. Eventually he earned a degree with honors in music production from the University of Central Oklahoma vía the Academy of Contemporary Music, founded by Scott Booker (The Flaming Lips). As a producer, engineer, mixer, and musician, Ian has had his hands in a wide variety of projects over the years. An artist in his own right, his work as a producer often incorporates his own sounds and textures into the recordings giving them a unique flavor and feel. This approach has won him acclaim and recognition from his peers, from bedroom musicians to Grammy winners. No matter the genre, Ian’s focus is on the song and the artist, ensuring that the final product is the best it can be. In addition to his work in the studio, Ian is also a highly sought after consultant, working with artists across the globe in the development of new projects at Sweetwater Sound. He has served as a consultant for educational institutions, government facilities, and live performance venues. 2022 saw the release of the EP “Navigating Dystopia” by dangerous robot to critical acclaim and saw Ian move from a producer role to being a full member. "Ian Roegels helped bring dangerous robot from a garage band to a professional act", says Gunner Williams. "If you’re looking for that secret sauce for your music he’s your huckleberry. You can borrow him but you can’t have because we found him first!" 2023 will see the release of his first solo release since 2018 entitled “Blue Marmalade”, a full fledged pop album featuring notable guest artists including Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Moog Cookbook, Malibu), Kenny Aronoff (John Mellancamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins), Nick D’Virgilio (Spock's Beard, Genesis), Subcat artist Christian Parker, Grammy nominated artist Cory Landry, and Damon Mitchell.

Search Add 3 Uncle Bud Robinson Reuben A. Robinson Reuben “Uncle Bud” Robinson (Born 1860 in White County, Tennessee), was a Methodist Episcopal evangelist, who would later become a part of the Church of the Nazarene, Died 1942. Known for his folk wisdom and colorful phrases, his preaching focused on the message of entire sanctification. His father made whiskey and ran a bar in the hills of White County, Tennessee. “Uncle Bud” grew up in a poor family, one of thirteen children, and did not get an education. After his father’s death, his mother moved the family to Texas, where he fell into a wild life of drinking and gambling. In 1880, he attended a tent revival, was converted, and then joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. It was a Sunday school teacher who taught him how to read at 20 years of age. In the 1890’s he studied at Southwestern University and would become a major influence in the emerging Church of the Nazarene. He experienced the call to preach at his conversion, and despite a bad stutter remained an active evangelist for 60 years

Search Add 3 Ninón Sevilla Emelia Pérez Castellanos Cuban-Mexican film actress and dancer. Born November 10, 1921 in La Habana, Havana, Cuba. Died January 1, 2015 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Sevilla was active during the golden age of Mexican cinema. She was considered one of the greatest Cuban stars and the principal exponent of the Rumberas film. Sevilla adopted her stage name in tribute to the legendary French courtesan Ninon de Lenclos. As a youth, she felt the religious vocation, and thought about becoming a missionary nun, but after she started dancing with success in nightclubs and cabarets in Cuba, she opted for a career in show business. Later, she began working in the chorus of the Cuban comedians Mimí Cal (creator of “Nananina”) and Leopoldo Fernández (the famous “Tres Patines” of Cuban radio and television). Sevilla came to Mexico as part of a show starring Libertad Lamarque. Thanks to Sevilla and the musician Kiko Mendive, the musician Dámaso Pérez Prado also came to México and became the so-called “King of mambo”, a rhythm she helped to make popular. On one occasion, the producer Pedro Arturo Calderón saw Sevilla on stage and offered her a contract to work in the films. Her debut in cinema was in 1946 in Carita de Cielo with María Elena Marqués and Antonio Badú. From that moment, Sevilla became the exclusive star of Producciones Calderón. She had offers from studies such as the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Columbia Pictures, but she refused for not being interested in work in Hollywood. Though from the beginning she was marked by the eccentricity of her hairdos and gowns, filmmaker Alberto Gout established her as one of the erotic figures of Mexican cinema. Sevilla was consecrated by Gout’s legendary films Aventurera (1949), Sensualidad (1950), Mujeres sacrificadas (1952) and Aventura en Río (1953). Besides her films with Gout, Ninón also worked with Emilio Fernández “El Indio,” who directed her in one of the best films of their careers, the classic Víctimas del Pecado (1951); Julio Bracho in Llévame en tus brazos (1954); Gilberto Martinez Solares in Mulata (1954) and the comedy Club de Señoritas (1956); and Alfredo B. Crevenna in Yambaó (1956). In the musical Rumberas film Sevilla internationalized the icon of the rumbera like no other of her peers: she was the perfect archetype in several films, in which a “fallen woman” was dignified through dance. She staged the many choreographies of her films, and was the first performer to introduce movements from Santeria rituals in her dances and to recognize the influence of Afro-Caribbean culture in the plots. When she was on top, she had the biggest forums, spectacular sets, dazzling costumes, first-rate technicians and alternated with great figures of Latin American cinema as Joaquín Pardavé, Andrea Palma, Fernando Soler, Pedro Armendáriz, Anita Blanch, Agustín Lara, Domingo Soler, David Silva, Rita Montaner, Ramón Gay, Tito Junco, Andrés Soler, Roberto Cañedo, Fanny Kauffman, René Cardona, Pedro Vargas, Toña la Negra, the trio Los Panchos, Mendive & Perez Prado. By 1950, Sevilla had consolidated her sex symbol status and was a superstar. Her success led to her being recognized in countries like Brazil and France. In 1955, when he wrote about film, the future great French director François Truffaut made a review of Llévame en tus brazos, in which he wrote: “Is Ninón dancing for glory? No way, never. It is quite clear Ninón is dancing for pleasure!”. With the decline of the golden age of Mexican cinema, Sevilla retired from the industry, but returned in 1981 by the hand of Mario Hernández, who directed her the 1984 film Noche de Carnaval, for which she received the Silver Ariel Award for Best Actress of the Year. Sevilla debuted on television in 1965 with a small role in the soap opera Juicio de almas, produced by Ernesto Alonso. After the revival of her career, she was invited in 1987 to appear in the telenovela Rosa salvaje, alongside Verónica Castro. She was cast in numerous supporting roles in several telenovelas, as Qué bonito amor (2012). In 2014, Sevilla was the subject of a tribute from the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences and the Cineteca of Mexico for her career and influence in the Cinema of Mexico. Sevilla had an relationship for several years with film producer Pedro Arturo Calderón. Eventually she married Cuban doctor José Gil, but she widowed soon after. Later she had another relationship, which produced her only son, the musician Genaro Lozano.

Search Add 3 Nono Manzanza Originally from Kinshasa, Nono Manzanza began his musical career when he was very young. Very quickly, we find him in the Kinaxixi Musica group. In 1990, he settled down in Europe, joined [a=Diblo Dibala]'s Matchatcha. A world tour follows with his new acolytes. Then he decides to leave Paris for Orlando, in the United States where he will live for a year before settling permanently in Paris. He is often found alongside big names in African music such as [a=Papa Wemba], [a=Felix Wazekwa]. But it is his collaboration on [a=Kassav']'s Ktoz album that will confirm his talent and versatility. It is therefore no surprise that in 1999 he released his first album: Peace quite simply, a nod to the war that has been stirring the Congo for years. This spring 2015, he announced an EP, Carte sur table. There are songs in French and Lingala, his mother tongue. Between walks and current music, it is a real cultural mix that Nono offers us.

Search Add 3 Ryan B Hyeeze Ryan Ballard Hyeeze grew up in New Haven CT a.k.a. The Elm City. He developed a natural born talent to entertain large groups of people through acting. Professor Thomas Green of Yale University founded a traveling company that performed from school to school in the local areas known as Yale’s Open End Theater.Ryan quickly took notice and joined the company. He increased his experience with stage presents and public speaking and taking on the lead roles in two of the plays. With that held down for four years through high school, he wanted to share his personal views instead of other writers views to an audience. At this point in his life, he started writing poetry. Using the format of story telling over music, the poetry was formatted into raps. He describes stories everybody can relate to with humor and guaranteed to rock a crowd. Hyeeze sticks to real life issues of young minoritys growing up in poverty in high crime areas yet, the young artist can bring entertainment to any situation." He makes concept songs with a combination of word play make him more than capable to sell platinum records. Hyeeze quotes “ Ill never let a beat carry my lyrics, my lyrics will carry the beat.” If you take away anything from Hyeeze when he performs, it's the fact he always stays real and will always leave you wanting more. He is on a path to resurrect hip hop in a way that has not been done before. With that being said, the next time some one asks you who is Ryan? You can tell them that’s “ Ryan B Hyeeze he the homie coming strait from the ELM CITY!!
