Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Merle Tillotson | Merle Alcock (February 6, 1884 - March 1, 1975) was an American contralto who sang with the Metropolitan Opera in 236 performances from 1919 to 1929, officially signing in with them in 1924.[1] Alcock's concert debut was in London in 1914.[2] She also sang with the Boston and New York Symphony Orchestras.[2] She found a patron in Mrs. Charles Schwab in 1916.[3] Mrs. Schwab was herself a singer as a young woman. Alcock first sang at the Met in a performance of Verdi’s Requiem Mass on Dec. 14, 1919. Her opera debut was on Nov. 15, 1923, when she sang the role of the fiddler Beppe in L’amico Fritz. Alcock trained other singers in her retirement such as Eileen Farrell. Alcock was born Merle Tillotson in Andover, Missouri, to Zula and the Reverend Elijah Tillotson. She graduated from Drake University’s Conservatory of Music in 1906. She married Bechtel Alcock, a tenor, in 1914.[4] The two would often perform together.[2] She died on March 1, 1975, and is buried in Wooster Cemetery in Wooster, Ohio.

Search | Add | 4 | Deadsun | Deadsun is a five piece alternative metal band that explodes with energy and purpose. The music ranges from over the top aggressive to contemplative. The pounding rhythms and memorable hooks immediately grab your attention but it is the depth and intelligence of the songwriting that keep people coming back for more. In addition to the catchy songs, deadsun's live shows are volcanic, precise and exhilarating. The story of deadsun begins in 1999 when drummer Adam "bandit" Hempseed and guitarist Rex Arthur met through a mutual friend. The three formed the band that eventually became deadsun. In December of 2001, Hempseed and Arthur teamed up with singer Todd Cadorette. Dee Adman came on board after "Degenerate Matter" was recorded adding the percussive low-end tightness needed to push deadsun's live show over the top. The band quickly developed an ultra-tight high-energy live show that reflects its member's enthusiasm and conviction. Rex adds, "Our goal, every time we play is to give every thing that is in us…to hold nothing back and to always leave the stage knowing we just gave the audience one hell of a show!" After a year of playing gigs locally the band decided to go into the studio and record a demo. What started out as a demo evolved into the full length CD Degenerate Matter. The recording was done in Nashville, TN at The Track House and mixed at the Sound Kitchen. The CD was engineered, co-produced and mixed by Jim Lightman who had recorded everything from Hank III to Full Devil Jacket to India Arie. Deadsun released their CD Degenerate Matter on March 6th of 2004 in front of a packed house at the Blue Sky Court in Nashville. Deadsun is playing shows regionally every weekend, creating quite a "buzz" and winning new fans in every city they visit. Deadsun is currently in the process of assembling regional street teams to further expand their fan base. Ultimately, the goal of the band is Major Label release/distribution for their CD Degenerate Matter and to prominence on the international hard rock scene. Deadsun is a band on the brink and will not be denied.

Search | Add | 4 | Fur For Fairies | Susanne Kelly is a Seattle painter and printmaker. Now she is a pop music singer too, plying this new endeavor under the name Fur For Fairies. This is her first starring record. In 2014, she made By Reckless Moonlight with husband Jeff Kelly of the Green Pajamas. While a full collaborator in its creation, the press saw her as the junior player, an influencer, contributing tasty bits here and there and one lead vocal, the sensual “I’d Rather Be Filming in Vanda’s Room.” Green Monkey Records said Viva! More! We now have more. The album is produced by Mr. Kelly and while some of his uniquely best work, make no mistake: this is Susanne’s album. Search | Add | 4 | Philips Wouwerman | Philips Wouwerman also Wouwermans | Philips Wouwerman (also Wouwermans) (24 May 1619 (baptized) – 19 May 1668) was a Dutch painter of hunting, landscape and battle scenes. Philips Wouwerman was one of the most versatile and prolific artists of the Dutch Golden Age. Embedded in the artistic environment and tradition of his home town of Haarlem, Wouwerman made an important and highly influential contribution to the canon of seventeenth-century Dutch painting. His pictures were in demand during his lifetime, and even more sought after in the 18th century. Throughout Europe, formerly princely art collections like in Dresden and St. Petersburg still bear witness to this widespread admiration of Wouwerman's art. Born in Haarlem in 1619, the son of a now altogether obscure painter named Pouwels Joostsz. Wouwerman, little is known about the artistic schooling of Wouwerman. According to Cornelis de Bie, he studied with [a=Frans Hals] (1581/85–1666), but the particular style of Hals didn't leave a foot mark on his oeuvre. Apart from a short stay in Hamburg at the end of the 1630s, Wouwerman seemed to have lived in Haarlem during his whole artistic career and died as a prosperous member of the community at the age of 48. He joined the Haarlem Guild of St. Luke in 1640 and here took on several official posts in the years to come. Wouwerman also worked as an estate agent in his home town, as many documents in Haarlem archives mentioned the artist in this context. Wouwerman started his artistic career with simple depictions of everyday life in the tradition of the bamboccianti by Pieter van Laer (1592/99–after 1642). His paintings of the mid-1640s often feature a diagonal slope of land, a tree which functions as a repoussoir, and figures accompanied by horses. Over the next thirty years he developed an individual style, treating a wide range of subjects from genre and landscape to military and religious scenes (equestrian scenes, hunting and hawking parties, landscapes with travelers, cavalry battles and military encampments, peasants festivities etc.). He is noted for his skill in the depiction of horses of all breeds seen in motion. The art historian Frederik J. Duparc calls Wouwerman " undoubtedly the most accomplished and successful 17th-century Dutch painter of horses". The masterpieces from his best period (around 1650–1660) are of indisputably high quality, beautifully combining imaginary southern landscapes and a typically Dutch atmosphere. Wouwerman's paintings are characterized by subdued colors, a cool atmosphere and a wealth of witty, anecdotal details. He died in Haarlem. At an early age, Wouwerman married Anna Pietersz. van Broeckhoff with whom he had ten children. They lived on the Bakenessergracht in a house that was also lived in by Haarlem painters Cornelis Gerritsz Decker and Hendrik de Meijer. Seven of the Wouwerman children survived and, after the death of their mother in 1670, accepted a substantial inheritance. Jan and [a=Pieter Wouwerman], the younger brothers of Philips, were often regarded as close followers whose pictures seemed to have been frequently attributed to Philips. And indeed, the oeuvre of Pieter (1623–1682) clearly manifests the influence of Philips with regard to the range of subjects, but regarding the artistic style, Pieter had quite one of his own. And Jan (1629–1666) was a rather autonomous landscape painter. Out of the countless followers, some of the most gifted artists working in Wouwerman's style are worth mentioning: Jan van Huchtenburgh (1647–1733), the brothers Jan Frans (1683–1750) and Joseph van Bredael (1688–1739) as well as Carel van Falens (1683–1733). His registered pupils were Johannes van der Bent, Hendrick Berckman, Eduard Dubois, Nicolas Ficke, Barent Gael, Anthony de Haen, Emanuel Murant, [a=Matthias Scheits], Kort Withold, and his brothers. The first retrospective exhibition of Philips Wouwerman's work took place in Kassel, Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, and in The Hague, The Royal Picture Gallers Mauritshuis, 2009/2010. |

Search | Add | 4 | Roger DeLarge | Roger André Bukkøy Røksund | Norwegian musician. Roger Bukkøy Røksund is born in 1988 in Norway and has a background in metal bands like Kuria and Goliathon. At the same time, having a lot of alternative songs on his mind he decided to create a solo project. Roger DeLarge is a psychedelic project that focuses mainly on atmospheric music influenced by the early British psychedelic scene and the 60-70s “acid” music in America. The debut album "Left Somewhere Dreaming" has two sides of it, one calm and one more melancholy, but they’re all trippy either it's about an ant that lost his way or something more personal. This album is for those who like to dream away into the surreal. Roger DeLarge went back to the studio imminently after the release of his debut album and his second album titled "Wall of Eyes" was released 28/06/2013. This album features a more professional sound and the songs are more advanced and experimental. |

EMI wanted them to record this single for the movie "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial." [a=Lee Mansfield] [who sings on "Home,"] said that they were originally to become New Musik II. Besides "Home," and "Finders Keepers," (which was created especially for the BBC Children's TV show) an album's worth of material was recorded, but due to the legal issues pending around "Home," EMI delayed releasing the album, and eventually the various members moved on to other projects leaving the recorded tracks in the archives.

Search | Add | 4 | Isis Graham | Isis Graham | As the modern era of dance music dawned in the mid 90s, a teenaged Isis Graham (Esette) glued herself to MuchMusic's Electric Circus and absorbed every beat of the house music boom. Every instant moved her to the core of her being: the rainbow of lights, the writhing bodies, the headphoned maestros on the decks. And most of all, that beat. That relentless roll and cycle of kick and snare, hat and keys, bass and vocal, elevating her soul and moving her body in her bedroom all alone. That same teenaged Isis still lives on in the body and mind of one of Calgary's stalwart hubs of community and music. If she ever reflects on that first tentative moment gracing the decks in a warehouse in 1999, does she feel the circle closing? Does she know that the local scene ringleaders she looked up to then, pulling together musicians and artists to create communal spaces of communication and expression, are now her? Music is one thing, and community another, but for Ms. Graham the two are mutually and irrevocably linked. As an ardent believer that progress for one means progress for all, Isis spends as much time tweaking EQs as she spends meeting, collaborating and planning with her musical peers. Ten years of promoting women in dance music as one engine behind Girls On Decks are already behind her (with another lifetimes worth of years ahead), residencies and relationships from gay bars to raves notch her belt, and a current residency at Habitat Living Sound includes not only a monthly night of soulful, techy, deep house, Nu*Movement, but a groundbreaking collaborative music production and networking effort called Studio Social. At the root of it all is the music. The hypnotic, spiritual, relentless music. After collaborating with Western Canadian mainstay Neighbour in 2008, the releases have been coming fast and furious, and only barreling faster as she takes up a leading A/R spot at recently revived Calgary label Substation Recordings. Her sounds are widely strewn across the spectrum of house and independent music – techno and bass are as likely as intimate songwriting fare, and her samples and vibes range from the funky to the deep and back again. The music that drives Isis feeds her soul, and vice versa, and that interplay of perpetual motion will keep this dynamic woman a key piece of Western Canada's musical puzzle for as many years as she can muster. |
