Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025

Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 4 Hiding Inside Victims HIDINGINSIDEVICTIMS Hiding Inside Victims was a Crust/Hardcore Punk band from the Los Angeles/Ventura County California area. The band began late 2008 with home recordings and jam sessions with Joaquin (vocals/drums) and Joe (vocals/guitar). Both previously had been singers in separate disbanded street punk bands, Initial Distrust and U.S.Brats. In 2009 the band played their first show at the Infest Warehouse in Los Angeles. After a series of shows in the Southern California area the band decided to look for a bassist and took Mike (BlisterUnit/Want but Mari) vocalist and guitarist for the spot. After set of shows Mike had a mutual parting from the band for his other career and musical endeavors. The band began again to search for another bassist and this time a second guitarist and found guitarist Chris (Schismism, The Last Priority) and bassist Ryan "Ratboy" (Throat Cancer). Founding member Joe left the band in 2011. The band completed their first Western U.S. tour with Dutch punk band Suicide State in May 2011 coinciding with a split release by the two bands which was released in the U.S. and Europe.

Search Add 4 Moleras Moleras Moleras - this is handmade alternative rock from Aachen, Germany. The duo consists of Moritz Bas and Lukas Wynands. They have known each other their whole life and have always made music together. In 2017 they started a band called “Nepomuk” in which they gained their first band and stage experiences. They also started to write their own music inspired by the stuff they love. In 2019 they decided to put their own songs together for a record. They recorded their debut album “obstacles” in the practice room of and with help from their friends Boon Goon. The album is about personal struggles and tries to provide a way out of them. It is supposed to show the listeners a way to deal with their personal obstacles. Considering their release, they changed their name to “Moleras” and decided to start over again. The duo performs with a pretty unusual line up: guitar, synthesizer, bass, vocals, percussion and a ukulele. In order to gain a full band sound, they use loopers and a bunch of effect pedals. With those instruments they are able to create a unique sound and their performances become extraordinary. The friends are excited about their first release and can’t wait to get on the road to bring their music to the people! “When the breakdown is getting nearer, try to start anew and always remember: your only obstacle is you!”

Search Add 4 Christine Jane On a flickering old TV set many moons ago, a small girl sat in her living room in suburbia, mesmerised by the closing scenes of a short film made by her father. As the camera panned out and the credits rolled she heard what would become a familiar and beloved sound: the ringing out of those iconic chords we know as ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ by Crowded House. The film, the song, and the enthralling story of how her father obtained the rights to use it began a love affair with music, the screen and the mystery of songwriting. Christine Jane’s eclectic tastes and world wide travels lead her to find her sound: ‘cinematic blues’. She has been compared to artists who share her love of storytelling, darkness and the enigma of song such as Nick Cave, K.D. Lang, Beck, Feist, Fiona Apple, Tom Waits, and Neil Finn. She is haunted by the voices of yesteryear that move her soul- Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley and Dusty Springfield. Her songs are deeply personal and reflect on loss, love, listlessness, and the shadows of despair. Each can be a world unto itself, collaging sound, mood and substance depending on the character she inhabits. Christine Jane cut her teeth collaborating and performing across her beloved home town Sydney with artists such as Jack Moffitt (The Preatures), Peter Fenton (CROW, The Tall Grass), The Johnnys, The Apartments, Steve Clisby, Queen Porter Stomp and more. She has toured roads unknown across this Great Southern Land with Claire Anne Taylor, Allensworth, Aine Tyrell, Elephant Sessions, The Tall Grass, The Apartments, Broke House and CJ Stranger to name a few. Her debut EP SINNERS COME & GO was released in 2012 and is filled with dark poetry and eclectic sounds. Her follow up single MAKE BELIEVE sends you to a smoky Spanish dive bar with its raw sensuality. Released in 2013, it’s available for free at Bandcamp. In 2014 Christine ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to record her first full length record. Produced by Josh Schuberth (Josh Pyke, Lenka, Shane Nicholson), H E A D M I L E S was released in 2015 to glowing reviews and national airplay on ABC radio and community radio around the country. “Christine Jane not only has a voice that stops you in your tracks, but she is a great songwriter as well. Headmiles was one of my favourite local releases last year and I look forward to her future efforts. Definitely one to watch.” – Paul Gough, host of ‘The Inside Sleeve’ on ABC Radio National, creator and presenter of Playback and Chimes on the national community radio network The lead single from H E A D M I L E S ‘In This Night’ spent four weeks in the national top ten of the AMRAP Community Radio charts ascending to #3, cementing Christine Jane as a formidable talent in the alternative Aussie music landscape. She is currently self-producing her third record SONGS FOR BLEEDING HEARTS and runs monthly live music night ‘For Folk Sake’ on a charming rooftop in Redfern.

Search Add 4 Tulio Piva Born in Santiago do Boqueirão (RS), on the border with Argentina, on December 4, 1915, Túlio Piva became known for his style of composing and playing the guitar. On February 11, 1993, samba gaucho said goodbye to one of its main representatives. Renowned for his unique guitar strumming, a talented composer and influenced by rhythms ranging from tango to samba, Túlio Piva marked the music of Rio Grande do Sul and of Brazil. The composer gained prominence for his pioneering spirit in composing sambas with a “gaucho accent”, with a poetic mix of his border influences, tango and Rio de Janeiro samba. A paradoxical artist: a gaucho descendant of Italians, who in his songs talked about life on the favela, tambourine and batucada. Author of songs recorded by renowned names such as Elis Regina, Elza Soares, Jair Rodrigues, Germano Mathias, Demônios da Garoa, Noite Ilustrada and Luiz Vieira, among Túlio's main works the following stand out: the sambas "Gente da Noite", known as the anthem of Porto Alegre's bohemia and the name of its famous nightclub, which operated for a decade (1980s) on Avenida João Pessoa. Porto Alegre/RS, "Pandeiro de Prata", the great winner of the II South-Brazilian Popular Song Festival (1968), and "Tem Que Ter Mulata", which received dozens of recordings and interpretations, including in Russia, the United States and Venezuela. Túlio Piva, alongside his fellow countryman Lupicínio Rodrigues, is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in popular music in Rio Grande do Sul of all time.

Search Add 4 Kedash Kedash Carmel Cornileus Daughter of [a304886]. Birth Date: May16,1981 Hometown: Hollywood,FLA Height: 5ft.4in. Kedash is stepping out of the recording studio and into the real world of music entertainment with her debut album Real Life Situations. The Re-Release of her new album is in stores now and her single, Love Can be Funny Sometimes will be on the store shelves in July of 2001. She is presently working on the video for the single and it should be airing on mainstream music video channels in September of 2001. Kedash started singing at the age of 7 and her father recognized at that time that she had a talent for singing. He then started taking her to his studio to watch him record and arrange his music. When Kedash was 12 she recorded her first background vocals. She said she was so afraid at the time thinking that she would mess up and waist those people's studio time. However, she reports that everything went great and that she even got paid a little money for her work. A lot of studios started calling her after that to do background vocals for various artists. She says that it was a great feeling and that at that time she felt that she could be successful as a singer. Kedash's father Carter Cornileus gained musical fame in his own right with the group The Cornileus Brothers and Sister Rose. Some of their more successful songs include Treat Her Like a Lady and Too Late to Turn Back Now which went to number 3 and number 2 respectively on the billboard charts. Kedash also started working with various family members in the music business such as her uncle Frank and his son Frank Cornileus jr. separately and on various projects. Those projects taught Kedash even more about the music business and what was involved putting an album together. During these tender years her own unique style was forming. Kedash reports that she would listen to and study various artists such as Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu and Whitney Houston. People would tell her that she sounded like various artists throughout the years. Then at about the age of sixteen her very own unique vocal style had emerged. Kedash was an artist with Big Ballers Entertainment for a short time. During this time Kedash recorded various songs on their compilations and soundtrack. The relationship with Big Ballers did not work out and she decided to go her own separate way. She has appeared on other works such as Kinsu's Consensual Sex, F.C.J.'s Southside and M?T's self titled album. Meanwhile Kedash is lining up tour dates and other local appearances around the country. So be on the lookout for this very talented artist as she makes her mark on the music world.

Search Add 4 Jagger Jack Gael Huet Jagger Jack has discovered the 'Thunderdome compilations' at the age of eleven. These early beginnings led him later to explore the world of Free Parties, mostly to see the Dj [a=Manu le Malin] playin'. He saw him at a 'Futuria', that felt just like a punch in the face. The urge to play his own music grew stronger until one day he scored his first set of decks. The will to play in public pushed him to participate in organising Free Parties around the french Alps. After a while he decided to organise legal parties where he could invite and sometimes play with djs of all styles and all origins. While other European countries can claim to support a vibrant electronic alternative culture the same can not be said of metropolitan France. With up to 5000 people gathering together the perception of local authorities toward "techno culture" and the resulting constraints are just killing it. As an activist for the industrial hardcore sound in France, Dj [a=Jagger Jack] created [l=Hardcore Deluxe Records], the label on which one he has already composed with [a=Pirate Mind] two Ep :"Share your agression part I " and "part II". Today influenced by "IST style", the Dutch gabber sound and the industrial sound generally, he deliver us powerful, melodious, structured hardcore, in the rather rare tones in France. Indeed far from the "frenchcore" and from the sound "tribe" in overproduction in our country, Jagger Jack proposes us a pleasantly surprising musical alternative with his compositions and mid-tempo mix.

Search Add 4 Lynchpin. Raw and heavy melodic hardcore with some metal influenced guitar work and breakdowns. Four out of five being teenagers in high school when they formed in 1994. They were blessed with grown adult friend and weirdo vocalist Joe Bonomo having laid down some DC and Pittsburgh roots by moving there permanently, and unlike any RI based hardcore bands at the time spent most of their lifespan on short tours of the east coast and Midwest, playing routinely in New Bedford as opposed to Providence. They made friendships in those days that still last today, and gathered a following in the Midwes, DC, Florida, but made their strongest friendships at that time in New Bedford. They were lucky enough to be thrown on shows with bands like Battery, Good Clean Fun, Brothers Keeper, Camber, Ink and Dagger, Grade, Jeromes Dream, Unearth, Jazz June, Anasarca (with whom they shared members with for ONE show in DC), Midcarson July, Converge, Bane, Roswell, 7th Card Down, Bastian, Forcefedglass, Inkwell, Pensive, Frodus, Spazz and Zao between 95-1999, when they broke up to pursue post-hardcore projects Bradford Ave and The Tragic Formula. Their first show was opening up for Earth Crisis, Thermos, and Pennies from Heaven in 1995 at the Living Room in Providence; when most members were just 14 years old. Ostracized from Rhode Island’s often violent and slow chug tough guy scene at the time, their heart’s home was always in New Bedford. The exposure they had to hardcore scenes and bands across the United States dwarfed any RI band at the time. They became very tight with lifelong close friends from the Warwick, RI and New Bedford crews, and remain so to this day. XBEAUTYDIESX!
