Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Jim Ott | James Gregory Ott | Jim Ott was a legendary brass arranger of Drum & Bugle Corps. Born May 1, 1950, died July 8, 1980. Some people leave this world too soon. Unfortunately, Jim Ott was one of those people. However, Ott left his impression on the drum and bugle corps activity forever. He came from a "drum corps" family and was involved with the Stockton Police drum corps in 1964 at an early age. By 1968, Self-taught, Jim was arranging music for the [a8590005] as well as instructing their brass line by the age of 17. He continued his work with the corps until 1973 and helped them to top-12 status. Jim went on to arrange for over 30 Drum and Bugle Corps and instructed, in particular the National Champions [a1063612] from Concord, CA. and [a2137225] of Atlanta GA. It was during these years that he arranged some of his best work, most notably “Georgia” ,“Chase the Clouds Away”,” and "Let It Be Me”. Being called the “Jim Ott Sound”. Not only was Jim Ott a gifted arranger, but also a devoted teacher. It is said that Jim Ott could get more out of a 14-year-old who couldn’t read music than most instructors could get out of a seasoned musician. Jim loved his “kids” and the feeling was reciprocated. Tragically, at age 30 Jim died in an automobile accident on July 8, 1980 while on tour with [a2137225]. His influence is still present in the brass arrangements of today, but many still long to hear the “Jim Ott sound.” Jim Ott’s legacy since has continued for over 35years with a annual $3000 dollar scholarships to college students who major’s in the performing arts and the trophy award “The Jim Ott High Brass” award given to the best brass hornline at the [l153566] Championships held every year in August. On July 19, 1980 at Concord, CA "Precision West 80" [a4670283] presented a tribute in memory of Jim Ott along with 200 horn players & color guards, member of the [a1063612], the [a8292323], [a473043] and former members of the [a8590005], playing the Naval Hymn. Jim was inducted into the [l153566] (DCI) Hall Of Fame in 1995, posthumous. |

Search | Add | 2 | Rhythm Punkz | Rob Currie | The last couple of years have seen the global invasion heralded by the Rhythm Punkz to bag sets at some of the world’s best nights and renowned venues such as Roger Sanchez - Release Yourself @ Ministry of Sound, Harry Choo Choo’s Bambosa Records @ SE One Club, Pasha , Yes Club in China and Ibiza. As the growing success with their productions has increased releasing on BIT Records in Mexico, one of Italy’s biggest labels Stranamente Music Group and Vinyl Pusher in Australia so too have the remixes which include Empire Of The Sun championed by Radio One’s Annie Mac got bigger. Others include; Sound For Rent, Toy Robots, Muse, Trans X and Spin Monkeys. This announced them onto the bigger international circuit and since then they have taken their 4 deck EFX show to Canada, Slovenia, China, Ibiza, Italy, Germany, Iceland and Poland. The pair held down a successful weekly radio show on the UK’s Future Radio FM station which has an audience listener base of more than 20,000 people each week and with guest such as Graeme Park, Kris Darang and Junior Jay, Dave Beer, Touché and Steve Bug their Saturday night mixture of interviews, mixes, gig reviews and artist spotlight features meant the show grew over the two years they presented. Going back to the beginning the Rhythm Punkz originally came from the UK Drum & Bass scene and under the guise Co-Ordinate enjoyed massive chart success with the hit “You Got Me Burning” in 2002 along side DJ Peshay, this saw them tour Europe playing Festivals such as the Big Chill, Glastonbury and Sonic Dance Festival in Switzerland. They continued with an album in 2003 but then moved to House Music and formed the Rhythm Punkz. 2010 brings a change of surroundings for the Punkz as they relocate to Australia permanently and it looks set to be a very exciting year with productions already due on Chris Lake’s label Rising Music, some big remixes and an even bigger 4 deck + Ableton live show. |
