Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Contact T.B.D. Jan Kees Helms Jan Kees Helms is a sound and visual artist based in The Netherlands. In the eighties he made music with others like Viviane Marc from France, Peter Versteeg and Andrea Sturkenboom. He made music and recorded his experimental musical journeys and released them at Lor Teeps. The tapelabel Lor Teeps cooperated with lot of other musicians in The Netherlands, but also worldwide. Lor Teeps released the first tape in 1983 with punkmusic of L'Oraagje. In 1987 Lor Teeps was more into the experimental tape-scene and released a lot of tapes. After many years of silence and making short movies with music of other musicians he started in 2009 to make visual sounds. Spring 2009 he starts with a collaboration with Billy Gomberg from New York and created the CD and short movie ANYpark with field recordings of parksounds. Contact T.B.D. released about 20 years ago many tapes at several tapelabels. For now Jan Kees Helms explores in this musical project the dark side of sound with guitardrones, synthesizers, piano and fieldrecordings.

Search Add 2 Robert T. Reilly US author (1923-2004). From bethlehembooks.com: Robert (Bob) T. Reilly was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1923. During World War II, he enlisted in the Army and saw service as a First lieutenant with the 78th Division in Europe. He was a POW for six months, and received numerous decorations. After the war Reilly completed his Ph.D. at Boston University. Reilly's Irish interests involved the American Committee for Irish studies and the Irish American Cultural Institute, where he held a national directorship. Reilly lived in Ireland and also led tours there from 1966. It was when he was teaching Irish Literature at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, that he had the inspiration to write Red Hugh. "I did it as a bet with myself that I could write a book," he recalled. His first attempt at the story of Hugh O'Donnell was rejected by a publisher, so he tossed the manuscript out and started over. This time the tale was successful and became the first of several historical fiction books (Irish Saints, Fighting Prince of Donegal, Rebels in the Shadows). Having married Jean McKenzie of Omaha, Nebraska after World War II, Reilly and his wife had ten children and many grandchildren. Robert Reilly died in 2004.

Search Add 2 Zatvor Denis Kolesnikov, Anton Eremin, Sergey Bolshakov The history of ZATVOR project begins in 1996 with the first experiments in traditional, old-school industrial style. The results of those experiments was successfully represented to the fold and close friends during several performances and later recorded as a self-release cassette album. However, the unexpected curves of life gave no opportunities to continue the regular practical development of noise and industrial ideas of Koles, the project leader and Akzent, the group frontman; so, the resurrection of ZATVOR as a real functional formation refers to 2005, when the co-operation with Anatoly Voronin, the enthusiast of the experimental sound and computer expert, formed the recent musical and sound style of the group. In 2006 Tatyana Serga, the owner of a specific colored voice, joined ZATVOR and the project members began to prepare the material for the first album in "urban folk" style, as a part of the general ZATVOR philosophy. Urban folk as a concept is an attempt to compensate the spiritual deficit of urban routine life with the new magic rituals, instead of the lost natural, archaic ways of dialogue with the Earth and the Universe. The radical tempo acceleration of the information flows and technical progress paralyzes the bewildered souls of City inhabitants, who had lost togetherness with the Nature and now have to create the unique form of the world perception - City Universe, the distinctly structured and functionally planned oppressive World of material values unadjusted extremely to the harmonious co-existence with its own ancient natural roots. ZATVOR tries to bring back a piece of re-formed magic to everyday urban life, weaving together in its music the traditional folk motives and the sound, light and color attributes of modern civilization in the context of Virtual space as a basis of a new mystical consciousness.

Search Add 2 Jayson Butera Jason Butera Orlando native Jayson Butera established himself in the Underground Dance scene by mixing a variety of Progressive House, Trance and Nu Skool Breaks. Jayson career began in the mid 90’s by working at local record shop in Orlando. From that point his love for electronic music progressed and turned into a deep rooted obsession. After receiving his first residency at Daytona nightclub Sol-Rays in early ‘98, it seemed like it wasn’t much longer before he found himself playing just about every nightclub in Central Florida. Around this time, he met up with DJ Trancelott of Trancedomain.com, a weekly internet DJ Broadcast featuring DJ’s from around the globe. He soon became a resident of the show, and went on to play alongside Trancelott for many guest spots throughout Florida and the US. By 2000, Jayson began his first Orlando residency at the legendary Club @ Firestone. With this new success, he joined forces with 720e and their weekly show, Kompression. Here, playing alongside moguls such as Vicious Vic, Noel Sanger, Chris Fortier, DJ Trancelott, and many others, where he established his own style and sound. By New Years Eve 2001, Jayson marked another career milestone in the International spotlight as he played Calgary, Canada. Soon after returning, he headlined one of the biggest parties of his DJ career in Panama City, Panama. On his return to the United States, he continued to progress his Orlando residency and has had local radio appearances on 93.9 Dance and 91.5 WPRK. His resume includes several internet radio stations from Breaks FM to Pulse Radio, Bijou Breaks, Eccentric Beats and more. In late 2005, Jayson competed in John Digweed and Future Music’s “The Next Big Thing” DJ contest, in which Jayson was a top finalist. He also received a top 3 finish in Mercury Server’s first annual DJ competition. From there, He, with the help of Mercury Session, founded his own featured radio show called “Beyond Boundaries”, airing every other Friday at 4:00 pm EST on NSB Radio and Digital Intelligence on Digitally Imported every other Tuesday at 12:00 PM EST. These days Jayson Butera occupies a DJ residency at Suite B in Downtown Orlando and other guest spots. He continues to move Orlando with his dark Progressive House, Trance and Progressive Breaks.

Search Add 2 Josefina Gonzalez Josefina Gonzalez Josefina Gonzalez was born in Santiago on December 5, 1983. Throughout her life she has been involved in several areas of creative production: music, painting, illustration and acting, both in theater and movies. She approached music when she was an infant through her father, who was a founding member of Barroco Andino, and a musician with bands such as Quelentaro and Schwenke & Nilo, among others. She took her first piano lessons when she was 10 years old and timidly started playing guitar during her teenage years, but it wasn’t until 2006 when she recorded her songs, using her own personal computer, songs influenced by hardcore punk and romantic latin pop. This is her first release, characterized by the sound of low-fi guitars and emotional lyrics.
