Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Syntez Atf | Alexander Matveev | Alexander performed on the same stage with Viktor Strogonov, DJ Sukhov, JL Lenin, Volodya Fonarev, Eduard Gubin (Cosmonaut), Moscow groove institute, Access danied, Moonbeam, DJ Groove and many others. Preferences in music: goa trance, psy techno, breakbeat. Collector of vinyl since 2000. As Alexander says - music has always been in our house, vinyl, then tapes, discs and again vinyl. In 1991 I heard electronics and everything was on the rise. The first synthesizers bought at the beginning of zero, it was Roland and began to record everything, and the project Syntez Atf was born. The first live performances began in 2008, together with DJ Begish. Now I'm playing syntez atf, like jockey or live on synth, writing music. |

Search | Add | 3 | Meadow Quartet | Meadow Quartet came into being in 2009 in Gdansk (Poland). The band tries to create the space, which can be diffused by influences of modern chamber music, jazz, improvised music and the most fundamental medium – traditional Jewish music. Meadow Quartet, at last, is an exciting challenge, its members are trying to follow the path which defies simple stylistic classification. Meadow Quartet denotes four outstanding musicians – four instrumentalists, each inspired by one of the above type of music, but altogether Meadow Quartet are four, synergizing in musical performance, personalities. The band has won the second prize at the 16th Festival of Polish Radio Nowa Tradycja (New Tradition) in 2013 and has participated in the events such as the International Jewish Music Festival in Amsterdam, Tzadik Poznan Festival, the Internationaler Hansetag in Lüneburg. Meadow Quartet at their concerts hosted valued musicians, including Jarosław Bester, Klaus Kugel, Tomas Dobrovolskis, Saulius Petreikis, furthermore band’s music was used in the movie Rosa Alba. In February 2012, they released their debut album entitled Unexpected. The second album, The Erstwhile Heroes with the special guest – Lithuanian percussionist Tomas Dobrovolskis, was released in July 2013. Gazeta Wyborcza described it as one of the most interesting releases of the year 2013 in Poland. By the end of 2015 they released new album David & Goliath, which was recorded during Meadow Quartet & Klaus Kugel’s concert in Gdansk on April 10th 2015.

Search | Add | 3 | Anna Koka 5 Ägg Jag Är Värd I Huset | This band was formed in 1970 with members from Helsingborg and Lomma. In 1975 the band rented a studio in Malmö and recorded an album. 300 copies were pressed and independently distributed, consisting of fourteen folk-inspired songs with humorous lyrics sung in Swedish. The home-made feeling is prominent and the recording sounds like an unlikely mixture of Philemon Arthur & the Dung and Love Explosion, but with better musicianship. The band performed live about ten times between 1973 and 1976 with Nationalteatern, Norrbottens Järn and others. They recorded their self-released album in Malmö in the summer of 1975. Anna Koka 5 Ägg were active for many years, starting out as early as in 1970. Gigs were rare, but they made a couple of shows sharing the bill with a couple of bigger progg acts in the mid 70's. They reunited at least once, for the local Röstånga festival in 2007. The album was originally released in an edition of 300 copies, but was made available briefly as a CD-R reissue through the band's now defunct website. Band members: Rolf Svensson (vocals, guitar, banjo) Christian Gustavsson (vocals, percussion) Mats Svensson (vocals, guitar, banjo) Leif Magnusson (guitar) Mats Nilsson (guitar) Lennart Remgard (keyboards, percussion) Håkan Turesson (clarinet) Ulf Westerberg (bass) Håkan Berg (flute) Lars Sunding (bass) Percy Hultberg (drums)

Search | Add | 3 | Grey Shadow's Bodyguard Club Band | Russian rock band formed in 1991 by Arthur ''ART'' Osipov ([a=Осипов Артур Юрьевич]) and Dmitry ''DNF'' Fonarev ([a=Фонарев Дмитрий Николаевич]) like a ''Dan Fonareff''. Since 1992, the band is working on a conceptual musical epic fantasy ''Journey to Nowhere'' (The story about the incredible adventures of a young man in the asral world and the battle of the spirits to obtain the energy of human lost souls). In 1997 the group published their first album ''Made in KGB''. The record included two opuses from ''Journey to Nowhere'' (''Drifter'' and ''Black candle waltz''). In 2002 band changed names on "Grey Shadow's Bodyguard Club Band" (at the suggestion of [a=Frank Whip]). Search | Add | 3 | J.J. Byars | American saxophone player. JJ Byars fashions lush and dynamic indie electric folk that explores a wide palette from the gritty, driving, energetic, to the sensitive, bare and introspective. With narratives of love, loss, and restlessness, there is also humor there amidst the nostalgia. Influenced by artists such as Grizzly Bear, John Fahey, and Jeff Buckley, JJ’s approach to songwriting is unique. “Waterlogged” is his solo album debut and first foray as a singer songwriter/composer under his own name. He comes from years of touring as a founding member and saxophone player for the successful soul rock band, [a=Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds]. And has been an active sideman and bandleader in the NYC music scene for multiple projects. He also leads the rock band Hungry Hands which recently had music placed in the new Tony Hawk Pro Skater video game. You can find him currently playing with bands: Kim Anderson, MAGANA, Glowalker, Johnny Butler, and collaborating with Jonathan Smith (The Can't Tells) and Kellen Harrison (Hurray for the Riff Raff, Wilde Belle).

Search | Add | 3 | Ghosts Of Port Royal | Ghosts Of Port Royal are a Portuguese hard blues rock band formed in Porto in 2007 by Augusto Lado (former Here B Dragons) on vocals, Fernando Guerra e Paz (former [a=Renegados De Boliqueime], [a=Motornoise]) on bass, Ricardo Cunha (former [a=Angehell], [a=Speedtrack]) on guitar and Helder Polónio (former Here B Dragons) on drums, the group name is reference to Port Royal, a port located in Kinston, Jamaica, known for being a safe haven for pirates. In late 2008 Helder is replaced by João Pais Filipe ([a=Sektor 304], [a=Unzen Pilot], etc.) and in the following year the group releases a three track self-titled EP, Joey Gomes (Filthy Human) temporaly replaces João Filipe for a 2009 tour and Luis Pacheco ([a=Cabeças de Gado], [a=Speedtrack]) gets added on keys until 2010. In 2011 they release "Casa Viva Sessions", a live recording issued only as a cdr. In 2012 the groups begins the recording of their debut album and later that year João Filipe leaves and the group and is replaced by Miguel Azevedo (Mosh, Plus Ultra, etc.). In September 2014 their first album titled "1692" is released, the record still features João on drums as it was mostly recorded before him leaving, the title of record is a reference to the earthquake that occurred and flooded Port Royal that year. In 2015 the group once again changes drummers with Francisco Beirão ([a=Touro], [a=Retimbrar], etc.) joining the fold. In 2019 the group releases their 2nd album "Hostis Humani Generis"(latin for Enemy of Mankind), a term applied to pirates. Members: . Augusto Lado - vocals (2007-) . Ricardo Cunha - guitar (2007-) . Search | Add | 3 | Boris Solotoreff | Boris Solotareff | Boris Solotareff (October 23, 1889 – July 1966) was a Russian painter. He was active in Munich, Switzerland, and France, but spent the majority of his career in New York where he became a naturalized American citizen in 1949. Solotareff made use of a variety of styles; according to the Benezit Dictionary of Artists, his "work was in the mainstream of Eastern European Expressionism, with influences of Art Deco from the time when he lived in Paris." Solotareff's paintings have been exhibited widely, including the "Cinquantenaire Du Symbolisme" exhibition at the Bibliothèque Nationale (1936), the Vendome Galleries (New York, 1938), and the "Exhibition of oils and water colors" at the Charles Barzansky Galleries from October 1–20, 1940. Born in Bender, in the Bessarabia Governorate of the Russian Empire, Solotareff began his art studies at the Russian art school in Odessa, Ukraine. This went on until he turned 18 in 1907 when the artist moved to Munich, Germany enrolling at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste. After seven years in Munich, Solotareff moved to Lausanne, Switzerland. In the six years he stayed there his style underwent a change from the German Impressionist style that inspired his Munich paintings to one more influenced by Fauvism. In describing two of Solotareff's paintings from that period, "Meadow of Wild Flowers" and "Farm in Lausanne", James Gardner wrote "The paint has been thickly applied in elongated, energetic jabs that sway and pulsate in every direction like schools of fish. But only the surface seems agitated. Farther down there is the deep and reassuring calm that seems best to typify the Russian artist's sanguine disposition". The year 1920 found Solotareff traveling in France and Italy before settling in Paris where, under the influence of [a=Pablo Picasso] and [a=Marie Laurencin], he began to paint in a more neo-classical style. While in Paris, Solotareff was a member of the Salon des Indépendants. In 1937, the artist moved to New York, where he lived and painted for the rest of his life. |

Search | Add | 3 | Plexigo | Lovis Einsmann | Label: Crystallin Music / Unterholz / PsyArmy Located: Wiesbaden, Hessen - Germany Style: Forest / Psytrance / Twilight / Night Psy / Goa Trance / Psygressive / Minimal Dark Progressive Info & Biography: ENGLISH: Plexigo is the name of the psychedelic music project by Lovis Einsmann from Wiesbaden, Germany. Since 2009 Plexigo is leashed by the driving basslines and enlightning melodies of Goa Trance and Psytrance. After discovering the synapse twisting sound frequencies of a DJ-Set mixed by the old Goa stager “Stefan Ludley”, well known in the Rhein-Main area, he was instantly addicted to this kind of music. Stefan helped him to get a connection to the recording company “Crystallin Music” and Plexigo started to produce tracks which are characterised by his very own style. In the beginning he described his music as “Psygressive Trance”, later the focus was set more to “Forest Trance”, “Twilight” and “Night Psy”. Since 2013 Plexigo is the main organizer and visionary mastermind of the Wiesbaden based “UNTERHOLZ” event project, that got quite popular in the Rhein-Main area and all around Germany during the last years. The indoor party series “TREIBHOLZ” invites international artists and sets the focus on the build up of a vibrant and resonating “Forest” scene in his actual hometown Wiesbaden. Right now Plexigo is more into DJing than producing own music. His style is a twisted mix of Twilight, Liquid Night Psy and mystical, driving Forest Trance. In 2017/2018 Plexigo played on the “Transylvaliens Festival” in Romania, two DJ-Sets in Switzerland and on multiple events and locations in the Rhein-Main area, such as the “Tanzhaus West” or “MTW Club” in Frankfurt am Main, the Bellini Club Mainz or the “FlaFla” in Herford. Source: Plexigo @ Facebook |
