Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Whether they're exploring minimal electronica on 2018's "MOTIF", or exploring their ADHD on the sample heavy single "Grip" from 2019, what is impossible to say is that they aren't ambitious. Since their first punk release in 2017, they've released music every year following in varying styles and genres. |

Search | Add | 14 | John Gillespie Magee, Jr. | John Gillespie Magee, Jr. (9 June 1922 – 11 December 1941) was an Anglo-American aviator and poet On September 3rd, 1941, John Magee was flying a training mission over the English Channel. It was a bright, sunny day with the sky a perfect shade of blue, and he was truly inspired by the absolute majesty and splendor of the moment. On landing, he wrote his now famous sonnet on the back of a letter which he had earlier written his parents. Three days later, on another bright and sunny day, John Gillespie Magee, Jr. was killed when the Spitfire he was flying collided with another aircraft in mid-air. Several days later, his parents received the letter he had written, and on the back was his poem, "High Flight". It is now a permanent entry in the British Flying Training Manual and the freshman handbook, Contrails, at the United States Air Force Academy.

Search | Add | 14 | Rodrigo Otarola | Rodrigo Otarola Cano | Rodrigo Otarola, é um cantor compositor, produtor e intérprete espanhol, vive no Brasil desde criança. |

Search | Add | 14 | Cliff Duphiney | Cliff was born on Aug. 7, 1934, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, age 71 After graduation from Catholic schools, he attended the Julliard School of Music and The Art Student's League, both in New York City. He then served with the Navy aboard the USS Grackle, where he was a member of the Frogmen team. He retired from the service as a Lieutenant JG. At the age of 12, his musical career began when he formed and led his own 12-piece band, the Cliff Duphiney Orchestra, which played throughout Westchester County, N.Y. Following his stint in the Navy, he formed a trio called "My Three Sons," and played nightclubs throughout the country including the Sahara and Thunderbird hotels in Las Vegas. During his childhood, he developed a love for horses which continued throughout his life. During his career as a professional musician, he also rode the rodeo circuit and worked as a stuntman in movies which lead to his show name, "Cowboy at the Keyboard." His performance at the organ keyboard so impressed the Hammond Organ Co. that it provided him with a custom-built organ and gave his performance the title "Sounds Impossible." Cliff went on to make several RCA recordings of his organ music and vocals. After 10 years on the professional circuit, he was ready for a slower pace and came to Waterville where he performed at the Ferris Arms Hotel. There he met his future wife, the former Judy Shorey. They married on Sept. 24, 1967, and hit the road together with his organ and two horses, his stunt horse, Babe, and Judy's wedding gift, an Arabian horse named Jude whom he often rode in local parades. They traveled for a year to finish out Cliff's professional contract before settling in Fairfield. Their daughter Kellie was born Sept. 2, 1968. The family's Fairfield Riverside Ranch was known for its stable of magnificent Arabian horses. Cliff continued his musical career for many years in the state of Maine at such places as the Jed Prouty Tavern in Bucksport, The Carriage Inn in Pittsfield, The Silent Woman in Waterville, the Augusta House, the Country Loft in Troy and the American Legion in Waterville as well as many others. As a child he had taken art lessons as well as music lessons and in the late 1970s, while still working as an entertainer, he again picked up a paint brush and mastered his portrait skills. He soon opened Judy's Art Gallery in Fairfield and began giving art lessons and music lessons. In the past several years, he has done portraits of many famous performers and politicians. Cliff was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Western Artists Association, and the Arabian Horse Association.

Search | Add | 14 | Melted Cassettes | David Turner, Mike Warden | Melted Cassettes began in 2005 as a one man electronic-avante-garde/noise project started by D. Turner. It continued as such, gaining some popularity in the underground, until 2007 when M. Warden joined the project. This happened when Turner and Warden decided to make a collaboration album called ‘Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 1′ and gave birth to the songs ‘Fantasy Garden’ and ‘Test’. The two soon began to simply work under the name ‘Melted Cassettes’ and made it official. Warden and Turner worked feverishly for several months, creating nearly 3 full albums worth of song material. By early 2008, Melted Cassettes began performing in Arizona on a fairly regular basis and continued to gain notoriety. The project went through a number of changes, including a revolving door of members, and changes in instrumentation. There were also a slew of rumors surrounding Melted Cassettes which permeated aspects of underground music fanfare. These rumors included false backgrounds, identities, and outlandish accusations of being ‘Notoriously misanthropic’, all of which was usually explained by the duo’s nature as being quiet, and somewhat isolated, and dedicated artists, often avoiding all the hullabaloo of local music-scene politics and instead focusing on a meaningful relationship between audience and artist. By 2009, Melted Cassettes had toured California several times, had a tape released on Modern Sleeze Records, and a design made for them by Canadian Art Designers ‘Seripop’. The band continued onward until a series of profound, and somewhat transcendental occurrences manifested in their lives around early 2010, which was followed by an inevitable hiatus. A few months later, Turner and Warden regrouped from their experiences, projecting the influences these encounters provided into the music of Melted Cassettes. The live performance aspect of Melted Cassettes centers around the odd events that took place in their lives, and is an attempt to inspire, creatively, and convey a message or aspect of some of the strange, paranormal, transformative and unexplained events that society sometimes overlooks. Melted Cassettes continues in its current lineup with a mission of music for positive personal/social transformation and collective conscious compassion and integration. Artist involved are [a=David Turner (8)] and [a=Mike Warden]. |

His songs are sung in classrooms and churches around the world. Originally from Virginia, Jack has more than 30 years of experience writing and composing for children. He has developed numerous youth educational programs and formerly served as editor of OCP’s publication, Today’s Liturgy with Children. Jack creates joyful and eclectic songs to nourish a child's budding faith. Conscious of the changing needs behind each developmental stage, he writes repetitive, playful songs for very young children and more challenging, traditional songs for early adolescents. Highlights from his collection, The Gift of Our Friends, include a sung meal blessing for each season of the year, "Jambo, Yesu!," a call-and-response based on an African prayer, and "Hurt No Living Thing," based on a poem by Christina Rossetti. Jack works in the San Francisco Bay area as a musician, playing keyboards and guitar. He and his wife own and operate a retirement facility for the elderly where Jack conducts regular sessions in music therapy for the senior residents. |

Search | Add | 14 | Jay Storic | Jay Storic is a half-Scottish/half-Croatian DJ/Producer with over 15 years involvement in the industry. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Jay has strong Croatian links through his father, and regularly spends time by the sun-soaked, crystal clear Adriatic. A welcome break from the murky, rain-soaked shores of the North Sea. Jay started out DJing in 1994, becoming heavily involved in clubs Deep, Voodoo, Change and Identity. His seamless and intuitive mixing style secured him numerous residencies for years to come and gained him much respect in the Scottish club scene. After years of playing other people’s tunes, Jay felt the creative itch and turned to music production, where he quickly started churning out his own brand of Deep House. His first commercial release was ‘Another Space’ under the Spacepunks moniker. The track was signed to Whoop Recordings (his favourite label at the time). It received major support from the big guns & featured on numerous compilations. Although the highlight for Jay, was hearing Danny Tenaglia drop the track at Homelands. Jay’s 1st solo release under his real name, ‘Liquid Groove’ was played on Radio 1′s ubiquitous Essential Mix in 2001. It was around this time that Rowan Blades (Breeder) heard Jay’s track ‘Modified’ at a gig and commented: “Man! This is just what I’m looking for…for Rhythm Syndicate” The rest as they say is history. It made it onto Sander Kleinbergs Global Underground mix cd, which went on to sell in large numbers all over the globe. Further collaborations with fellow Spacepunk Martin Kay resulted in 7 releases on local label Zazoo Recordings including a remix of one of Jay’s favourite all time tunes, ‘Resonance’ by Castle Trancelot. After an extended music sabbatical, Jay stormed back onto the scene in 2011, with releases through seminal UK label, Baroque as well as tunes out on Sex on Wax and Wild Records. His next single, ‘Juicy Lucy’ is released on September 24th, to cement a successful first year return to the vanguard of electronic music. Jay is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album. Stay tuned for news on that….

Search | Add | 14 | Jason Jollins | Jason Jollins | International DJ, Producer and record label owner Jason Jollins has been a driving force behind the underground electronic dance music movement in New York City since the late 1990’s, considered throughout the industry as New York City's top Progressive House DJ. In a scene where producers often hold the spotlight, Jason has built a global following based primarily on his DJ sets, with his production work complementing his “DJ” career rather than defining it. Best known for his extended genre-bending DJ sets, Jason has steadily built a reputation for cutting-edge dance floor selections weaved together with precision mixing. His eclectic, diverse and emotional sets are truly a reflection of his evolution as a performer, and reflect not only years of experience but also years of innovation as well. All of this is not hard to imagine given Jason’s early found passion for music and performance. From a very young age, it was clear to him that music was his mission, and already turning heads in his youth, Jason’s early DJ sets in the nineties created a demand that transformed his passion into a full fledged career. Jason started DJ'ing during the late 1980's. Initially spinning freestyle and house music, he continued to cultivate his DJ skills through the early nineties, embracing his love and talent for the art. In 2008, Jason coined the term “Tech-Prog” to describe his unique sound; a skillful blending of progressive house with techno, tech-house and trance elements. Over the past 10 years, Jason has held residencies at some of New York City’s most prestigious venues such as Crobar, Centro Fly, Filter 14 and Avalon while also holding down a former Godskitchen NY residency. For the past 4 years, Jason has held a residency with New York City’s top electronic dance music production company Made Event at the city’s biggest venues and outdoor events such as Roseland Ballroom, Nokia Theatre and Electric Zoo. When he is not playing for Made Event, he can be found performing extended headlining sets at the world famous super club Pacha New York. Throughout his career he has shared the stage with many other renowned DJs such as Sasha, Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Steve Lawler, Lee Burridge, Juan Atkins, Armin Van Buuren, Marcus Schulz, Hernan Cattaneo, Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, Anthony Pappa, Darren Emerson, Oscar G, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Max Graham, and many others. Outside of New York, Jason has a jam-packed international touring schedule where he has earned a loyal following at some of the world’s finest venues. He has also headlined and co-headlined for the biggest clubbing franchises in the world such as Ministry of Sound, Godskitchen, Ibiza Open, Pacha, Space, Privilege and recently he was the only American DJ billed for the world renowned Creamfields Central Europe 2009 festival. In 1998 while attending Rutgers University, Jason started an event production and event promotion company called United Underground to serve as a platform for local, national, and international talent to share their passion within their craft. Since its conception, United Underground has produced events at some of the biggest nightclubs in New York City while also helping to promote some of New York City's most prominent events. 2002 was a big year for Jason in terms of exposure as he was featured in the United States biggest clubbing culture magazine “BPM” for taking 1st place Progressive House mix in the BPM magazine dj contest. In the same year, Jason entered two important internet based DJ competitions held on the New York Tranceaddict.com forum and the Europe based Global Underground Forum where he took 1st place in both. Amidst acquiring exposure on the DJ front, Jason started his record label Acute Recordings. Launched in May of 2002, Acute releases have graced the charts and playlists of many of the world’s top talent including #1 charted releases on the prestigious balance record pool, #1 best selling tracks on beatport.com, and with releases creating buzz in several magazines and media sources. Throughout the years, Jason has appeared on radio stations throughout the world and on many of the top radio stations on the internet. Jason held a monthly radio show on Proton Radio for over 5 years being one of the first dj's to host a live Proton Radio dj show. Jason has also hosted shows on DLA Radio (Dance Latino America Radio), Stream.fm in Bulgaria, Di.Fm (Digitally Imported Radio), and the top internet radio station in Greece DanceRadio.Gr. Currently, Jason directs his music sharing focus into his popular “Jason Jollins presents Acute Sessions Podcast” on iTunes which features dj sets recorded from his live performances around the world and available for free download. Jason has appeared on television programs such as MTV and Fashion TV in several countries while his international performances have been sponsored by companies such as Red Bull, Heineken, Johnny Walker, Marlboro, Camel and Coca-Cola to name a few. These opportunities have considerably elevated Jason's status as a DJ and have given him the platform needed to form the strong following of fans that he has today. In 2010, Jason will continue to tour around the country and globally while releasing the quality tracks that fans have come to expect from Acute Recordings. Jason's diligent work and sacrifices have not gone unnoticed; his passion for music continues to inspire him while his profile continues to rise. |

Search | Add | 14 | Grimm Jack | The Grimm Jack story began in 1985 with guitarist Jimmie Mack and drummer Dave Leeds, two Long Island rockers who joined forces to create a contemporary rock band with an edge. Original members included vocalist Robin DesForges, guitarist Rich Daly, and bassist Sean O’Neill. The group released their first single “Janet”, on the independent label CYN CITY RECORDS in 1986. The following year brought the release of a five-song EP entitled GO FOR YOUR GUNS, which gained airplay on radio outside the New York metro area. By 1988, Grimm Jack shifted into full throttle; original vocalist Robin DesForges departed and was replaced by singer Billy Kohout. Bassist Scott Bittner was on board, and the group started gaining national recognition with the release of their next EP, PARTNERS IN CRIME. This recording featured the songs “One Track Mind” and “Shy Boy”, both which gained a steady amount of airplay on various rock radio stations, especially in the south and mid-Atlantic regions. Legendary music publications such as CIRCUS and HIT PARADER gave Grimm Jack’s PARTNERS IN CRIME very positive reviews during 1988, and the group was also featured prominently in numerous regional and local magazines nationwide. In early 1989, Daly and Bittner chose to part company with Grimm Jack and guitarist Tom Lestat and bassist Paul Vassa were brought into the band. With this lineup in place, Grimm Jack forged ahead to create a respectable reputation based on energetic live performances and high caliber songs that fans still remember today.

Baconsson | Keys, Synthesizers, Voice Otto Løfgren | Synthesizers, Voice, Programming [b]WE ARE DIAMOND FUCKIN’ KOBRA[/b] Back in 1984 Elin & Emeli-Sofi Lundin from Sweden started a band they named Diamond Kobra. As they had no recording equipment, they tried to figure out a way to get their music on tape. One night they had the chance to get into the Nightingale Studios for small money after the session of another group. They jammed the whole night and recorded a demo tape. Unfortunately a week later the studio was destroyed by a winter storm. It was rebuilt the same year by a new owner and the demo went into a provisional archive with the other remaining material from the studio. In 2017, 34 years later, Rögnvaldr Nyström bought the studio and found the Diamond Kobra demotracks. He remembered the last name on the tape: Lundin and asked his friend Otto Løfgren, who had married a woman from the Lundin family. It turned out his wife Ida was the aunt of the girls. Løfgren is a talented programmer and tech nerd and his friend Bjørn Bors Baconsson has a studio with a tape machine. As they heard the Diamond Kobra tape they knew they had to make an album out of it. It sounded like pure joy from the ’80s. They teamed up with their friends and fellow musicians to bring the music back to life and make an album out of it. The sound from the 1984 recordings was great electronical music that had its own beautiful sound. It was time to add more vicious synthesizers and ripping guitars to blend it all into what Diamond Kobra does best: [b]High-Voltage Darksynth[/b] Baconsson, who comes from a film scoring background, wrote a story for the album. A vision about a far future in which each song is one chapter of a novel. The characters and their story came together in the concept album which also contains soundtrack elements. The project began in early 2018 when recordings started in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and USA. Løfgren and Baconsson were extremely happy when outstanding musicians like [a288132] of [a262577], [a3895091] of [a291496], K.D. Johansen of Supercharger and the famous Amott Brothers: [a309929] & [a579681] joined for the album production. The cover artwork was done by well-known movie poster artist Tom Hodge of The Dude Designs.

Search | Add | 14 | Derek Lyn Plastic | Derek Lyn Duncan | DEREK LYN PLASTIC conjures up post-apocalyptic images of neon-lit back alleys and light-saber switchblades, with it's hopeless bad-boy romanticism vibe set to twitching keys and guitar fuzz. The sound is catchy enough to be placed alongside any of today's most notable punk-pop.Casual fans of this genre might just find a new favorite mad scientist in DEREK LYN PLASTIC. (MAXIMUM ROCK N' ROLL) .... I do believe it's more of a spontaneous generation than an empty trend--new wave smacked on the jagged boulders of garage rock, exploding in a bounty of once-buried treasure.Science experiments gone wrong, psychosis being wrestled with, and dirty electronics used as percussion instruments and then caressed back into a melody. The best of all,the songs are thickly spined and muscled into form by solid songwriting instead of mere shtick. In turn this reminds me of Gary Numan,Joy Division.Good stuff.(RAZORCAKE).... |

Search | Add | 14 | Julien Jalâl Al-Din Weiss | Bernard Weis | Alsatian by his father, Swiss by his mother, Bernard Weiss was born in Paris in 1953 and died in Paris January 02, 2015. In the beginning of the Seventies, like many of teenagers of his generation, this guitarist of western classical formation (he entered the " Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris " in 1965) calls in question the values of the Western culture and started to hit the road of the trip. His voyages took him to California, to Morocco, then to the Antilles; that opened his cultural horizons and was given the name Julien by a young Venezuellian woman, Isabelle Sotto, daugther of the founder of kinetic art. When return to France in 1974, he composed several plays for the traditional guitar, and took part in a creation of the Tunisian director Sharif Allaoui. In 1976 in Paris, during a reception at the future minister of the Egyptian culture, Farouk Hosni, the listening to a disc of the Iraqi musician Mounir Bachir, large main of Oud (Oriental lute captivated him so much so that he gave up the traditional guitar and the jazz harmonies to launch out body and soul in the study of the Arab lute and the refined laws governing the Oriental micro tonal music. But very quickly, the limits of the instrument frustrated him and when he discovered the richnesses offered by the Oriental zither " the qanûn " the search of Julien Weiss took all its dimensions. Consequently he crossed the Orient, from Tunis to Beirut, Baghdad to Cairo, Istanbul to Damas, he followed the teaching of great Masters. Thus he became the disciple then the friend of Mounir Bachir in the honor of whom later he composed a " Bagdadian Suite " interpreted at the time of the Festival of Babylon in Iraq. |
