Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 14 | Wurgilnõ | Consanguineus | Introducing Wurgilnō: Unleashing Dark Tales from the Dutch Underground Wurgilnō is a solitary force that emerged in the early months of 2023, plunging deep into the realms of Black Metal. With a raw and intense sound, Wurgilnō stands apart, channeling the dark currents of the genre while infusing it with the mystique of Dutch folklore. At the core of Wurgilnō lies the enigmatic figure known as Consanguineus. Serving as the sole member, Consanguineus fearlessly undertakes the roles of instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter, pouring heart and soul into crafting each haunting melody and crafting lyrics that delve into the depths of local legends and myths. Drawing inspiration from the First and Second wave of Black Metal, Wurgilnō's sonic offerings encapsulate the spirit of the genre's early pioneers, echoing their raw energy and sinister atmosphere. Consanguineus pays homage to these influences while forging a distinctive sound that is uniquely their own, blending aggression, melody, and a touch of melancholy. In a short span of time, Wurgilnō has unleashed a series of chilling singles upon the world. With releases like "Kraaien of het galgenveld," "Tot eenzaamheid verbannen," and "De Bloedrode Beek," all unleashed upon the world in May and June 2023, the band has already garnered attention within the dark corners of the Black Metal community. These singles serve as harbingers of the imminent release of their debut album, "De Doden rusten niet in Vrede," which arrived in June 2023, seeping into the collective consciousness with its unrelenting intensity. While Wurgilnō currently abstains from live performances, its origins carry a legacy intertwined with the Dutch metal scene. Consanguineus, an original member of Dutch bands Belphegor, Inverted Pentagram, and Corpusculum during the early '90s, possesses a profound understanding of the genre's roots and a wealth of experience that enriches Wurgilnō's creative process. Wurgilnō's music serves as a vessel, carrying the listener through the ancient forests and misty landscapes of the South of the Netherlands, where local myths and legends reside. Each track on "De Doden rusten niet in Vrede" explores these narratives, summoning the spirits of the Bokkerijders and other enigmatic figures that haunt the region's folklore. Through his music, Wurgilnō seeks to capture the essence of these tales, painting sonic portraits that immerse the audience in a chilling and immersive auditory experience. With their solitary presence and uncompromising dedication to the craft, Wurgilnō stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Black Metal and its ability to encapsulate the darkest corners of the human psyche. As their music reverberates through the shadows, Wurgilnō beckons the curious and the fearless to venture forth into the ethereal realms they have carved, where the ancient legends of the South of the Netherlands come alive once more. |

| Search | Add | 14 | American Standard Band | Formed in Worcester, Massachusetts, The American Standard Band was a five man group that gained significant notice in the 1970s and early ’80s on both the local and national level. Kevin Falvey: Lead singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and co-founder. Cliff Goodwin: Lead guitarist and co-founder. Deric Dyer: Saxes, keyboards, and second lead vocalist. Howard Hersh: Bass player John Riley: Drums ASB toured extensively around New England for several years, focused on what could best be described as hip pop music. Strong on vocal harmonies, high-level musicianship and a fair share of showmanship, they carved out a successful place as a live act. They had an active following and continued to mature as a band over time. In the late mid-1970s, they connected with [l983753] and formed a relationship that led to new opportunities, including producing a number of demo recordings of their material, and obtaining an audition for ASB to become the backing band for [a124497]’s comeback effort starting in 1976. Joe liked what he heard and they were hired to become his band for the next year and a half, touring in Australia and South America, as well as playing gigs in the US. In the meantime, [l8377] had heard good things about the band and signed ASB to an independent production agreement through [l983753]. The band recorded two albums with Island, the first received very good reviews, but failed to be promoted well due to issues by Island’s marketing distribution rights through the Warner Bros. music conglomerate. With a massive recession at the start of the 1980s that damaged the music industry as a whole, the band’s second album has never been released and the option on the band’s contract was not picked up by Island. Falvey continued songwriting and producing music until his early passing in 1999. Goodwin continued to play for Cocker for most of the 1980’s and found success as a sideman for a number of notable music acts. Hersh and Dyer also continued with Cocker and each found similar success as side- and session men with a variety of known artists. | |

This group had a moderate reception from the Bolivian public and was later dissolved. After the dissolution of Fox, the members of the band independently belonged to some bands from La Paz such as Chuy & Fly and Drago Drogan, among others, while Rodrigo Villegas became one of the animators of the improvised sessions at the pub "El Socavón", where he was reunited with his former Fox teammates and met vocalist Christian Krauss. Between the two of them, they decided to try their luck and form a new band. That was how Lou Kass was born. The owner of "El socavón" baptized the group "Lucas", a name that was later changed to Lou Kass. In 1992 they released their first album Lou Kass, which was followed by Akasa (1994), which includes songs like "No Reces al Sol" and "Feel High". In full success of the band, the vocalist Christian Krauss decided to travel to Germany without giving further explanations, forcing the rest of the group to continue with the presentations as a trio but without diminishing the receptivity of the band. Finally, during the concert in La Paz on the "Tour SIDA" tour, Loukass recorded his live album entitled Akasa ¡En vivo! and later separated. |

El Marido Ideal is the title adopted by the Gran Canarian artist Carlos Marrero to sing and sweat on stage and with which he has managed to carve a niche for himself in the independent scene thanks to his particular combination of pop sensibility with blushing lyrics full of raw feelings. After almost a decade experimenting with different formulas in a self-taught journey as a composer and producer, he has finally found that sound in which each song contains a small universe of situations and emotions that translate into catchy melodies and overwhelming arrangements. With no greater pretension than that of sharing his world with the rest, neither the incessant cinematographic references, nor the endless titles of his works, nor his obsession with breaking the fourth wall as he now confesses to write so generously about himself in the third person, will prevent that, at the end of each song, El Marido Ideal reaches you a little bit. |

| Search | Add | 14 | Jay Storic | Jay Storic is a half-Scottish/half-Croatian DJ/Producer with over 15 years involvement in the industry. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Jay has strong Croatian links through his father, and regularly spends time by the sun-soaked, crystal clear Adriatic. A welcome break from the murky, rain-soaked shores of the North Sea. Jay started out DJing in 1994, becoming heavily involved in clubs Deep, Voodoo, Change and Identity. His seamless and intuitive mixing style secured him numerous residencies for years to come and gained him much respect in the Scottish club scene. After years of playing other people’s tunes, Jay felt the creative itch and turned to music production, where he quickly started churning out his own brand of Deep House. His first commercial release was ‘Another Space’ under the Spacepunks moniker. The track was signed to Whoop Recordings (his favourite label at the time). It received major support from the big guns & featured on numerous compilations. Although the highlight for Jay, was hearing Danny Tenaglia drop the track at Homelands. Jay’s 1st solo release under his real name, ‘Liquid Groove’ was played on Radio 1′s ubiquitous Essential Mix in 2001. It was around this time that Rowan Blades (Breeder) heard Jay’s track ‘Modified’ at a gig and commented: “Man! This is just what I’m looking for…for Rhythm Syndicate” The rest as they say is history. It made it onto Sander Kleinbergs Global Underground mix cd, which went on to sell in large numbers all over the globe. Further collaborations with fellow Spacepunk Martin Kay resulted in 7 releases on local label Zazoo Recordings including a remix of one of Jay’s favourite all time tunes, ‘Resonance’ by Castle Trancelot. After an extended music sabbatical, Jay stormed back onto the scene in 2011, with releases through seminal UK label, Baroque as well as tunes out on Sex on Wax and Wild Records. His next single, ‘Juicy Lucy’ is released on September 24th, to cement a successful first year return to the vanguard of electronic music. Jay is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album. Stay tuned for news on that…. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Melted Cassettes | David Turner, Mike Warden | Melted Cassettes began in 2005 as a one man electronic-avante-garde/noise project started by D. Turner. It continued as such, gaining some popularity in the underground, until 2007 when M. Warden joined the project. This happened when Turner and Warden decided to make a collaboration album called ‘Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 1′ and gave birth to the songs ‘Fantasy Garden’ and ‘Test’. The two soon began to simply work under the name ‘Melted Cassettes’ and made it official. Warden and Turner worked feverishly for several months, creating nearly 3 full albums worth of song material. By early 2008, Melted Cassettes began performing in Arizona on a fairly regular basis and continued to gain notoriety. The project went through a number of changes, including a revolving door of members, and changes in instrumentation. There were also a slew of rumors surrounding Melted Cassettes which permeated aspects of underground music fanfare. These rumors included false backgrounds, identities, and outlandish accusations of being ‘Notoriously misanthropic’, all of which was usually explained by the duo’s nature as being quiet, and somewhat isolated, and dedicated artists, often avoiding all the hullabaloo of local music-scene politics and instead focusing on a meaningful relationship between audience and artist. By 2009, Melted Cassettes had toured California several times, had a tape released on Modern Sleeze Records, and a design made for them by Canadian Art Designers ‘Seripop’. The band continued onward until a series of profound, and somewhat transcendental occurrences manifested in their lives around early 2010, which was followed by an inevitable hiatus. A few months later, Turner and Warden regrouped from their experiences, projecting the influences these encounters provided into the music of Melted Cassettes. The live performance aspect of Melted Cassettes centers around the odd events that took place in their lives, and is an attempt to inspire, creatively, and convey a message or aspect of some of the strange, paranormal, transformative and unexplained events that society sometimes overlooks. Melted Cassettes continues in its current lineup with a mission of music for positive personal/social transformation and collective conscious compassion and integration. Artist involved are [a=David Turner (8)] and [a=Mike Warden]. |

Chaisson got the boys a contract with ABC records who put Felton Jarvis from Nashville in charge of their work. He decided to cut them at Fame, making the Aubrys amongst the first visitors to Muscle Shoals. In time they moved over to the West Coast, part of a large migration of New Orleans musical talent that took that route in the 60s, and hooked up again with Dr John and Harold Battiste in LA. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Charlie Aldrich | Charles William Aldrich | American songwriter, singer & musician, better known as "Walkin' Talkin'" Charlie Aldrich. Born June 3, 1921 in Agawam, Oklahoma, USA. Died January 25, 2015in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Aldrich came by his nickname rather naturally, felt everyone was his neighbor and was constantly 'walkin' and talkin' with anyone he'd meet. He was six foot two, smiling blue-green eyed, light brown haired and was talented as an emcee, guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and known for his sincertiy towards the public. Charlie worked hard to get his first guitar. He got it by milking enough cows on his mother's farm during the 1932 depression to buy a $3.98 guitar. His mother was his first teacher. And hard work and music stayed with him during those early years growing up. Later, he'd pick cotton all day long for 15 cents and then drive 30 miles to a country theater to see a Gene Autry movie, his first inspiration. Around 1946, Charlie got his honorable discharge from the Navy. From there he went to work as an assistant salesman for a dry goods chain store, where he got promoted quickly to head salesman. For about three years, Charlie had a band in Oklahoma and broadcasted over the CBS network with a show called "Oklahoma Roundup". Then, he went out west to California where he started working with Spade Cooley, the western swing king. Then, he became part of Cliffie Stone's Hometown Jamboree group that broadcast over KXLA and KLAC-TV out of El Monte, California. He also worked with T. Texas Tyler and Tony Martin a various points at that time, too. But along came 1951 and his popularity soared. He came out with a tune called "Walkin' The Guitar Strings" and it became his curtain call. That got him his own show on KTTV and was said to be getting over 200,000 pieces of mail a year. His songs were being published by the famed Acuff-Rose company and also the Tannen Music Company. He had three radio programs, five days a week on top of his daily television show. And if that didn't keep him busy enough, he owned and operated a music studio in Burbank, California. If he had any time left, he did personal appearances. He had a horse that may have been part of his personal appearances. It was called Ranger and was said to be a hit with the kids. Ranger could do 45 various types of stunts. And had had a quarter million kids climb on his back during a two year period. And he kept adding to his musical skills while he was in California. He got a degree for classical guitar music form the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music |

Jack works in the San Francisco Bay area as a musician, playing keyboards and guitar. He and his wife own and operate a retirement facility for the elderly where Jack conducts regular sessions in music therapy for the senior residents. |
