Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 14 | Jay Storic | Jay Storic is a half-Scottish/half-Croatian DJ/Producer with over 15 years involvement in the industry. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Jay has strong Croatian links through his father, and regularly spends time by the sun-soaked, crystal clear Adriatic. A welcome break from the murky, rain-soaked shores of the North Sea. Jay started out DJing in 1994, becoming heavily involved in clubs Deep, Voodoo, Change and Identity. His seamless and intuitive mixing style secured him numerous residencies for years to come and gained him much respect in the Scottish club scene. After years of playing other people’s tunes, Jay felt the creative itch and turned to music production, where he quickly started churning out his own brand of Deep House. His first commercial release was ‘Another Space’ under the Spacepunks moniker. The track was signed to Whoop Recordings (his favourite label at the time). It received major support from the big guns & featured on numerous compilations. Although the highlight for Jay, was hearing Danny Tenaglia drop the track at Homelands. Jay’s 1st solo release under his real name, ‘Liquid Groove’ was played on Radio 1′s ubiquitous Essential Mix in 2001. It was around this time that Rowan Blades (Breeder) heard Jay’s track ‘Modified’ at a gig and commented: “Man! This is just what I’m looking for…for Rhythm Syndicate” The rest as they say is history. It made it onto Sander Kleinbergs Global Underground mix cd, which went on to sell in large numbers all over the globe. Further collaborations with fellow Spacepunk Martin Kay resulted in 7 releases on local label Zazoo Recordings including a remix of one of Jay’s favourite all time tunes, ‘Resonance’ by Castle Trancelot. After an extended music sabbatical, Jay stormed back onto the scene in 2011, with releases through seminal UK label, Baroque as well as tunes out on Sex on Wax and Wild Records. His next single, ‘Juicy Lucy’ is released on September 24th, to cement a successful first year return to the vanguard of electronic music. Jay is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album. Stay tuned for news on that…. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Melted Cassettes | David Turner, Mike Warden | Melted Cassettes began in 2005 as a one man electronic-avante-garde/noise project started by D. Turner. It continued as such, gaining some popularity in the underground, until 2007 when M. Warden joined the project. This happened when Turner and Warden decided to make a collaboration album called ‘Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 1′ and gave birth to the songs ‘Fantasy Garden’ and ‘Test’. The two soon began to simply work under the name ‘Melted Cassettes’ and made it official. Warden and Turner worked feverishly for several months, creating nearly 3 full albums worth of song material. By early 2008, Melted Cassettes began performing in Arizona on a fairly regular basis and continued to gain notoriety. The project went through a number of changes, including a revolving door of members, and changes in instrumentation. There were also a slew of rumors surrounding Melted Cassettes which permeated aspects of underground music fanfare. These rumors included false backgrounds, identities, and outlandish accusations of being ‘Notoriously misanthropic’, all of which was usually explained by the duo’s nature as being quiet, and somewhat isolated, and dedicated artists, often avoiding all the hullabaloo of local music-scene politics and instead focusing on a meaningful relationship between audience and artist. By 2009, Melted Cassettes had toured California several times, had a tape released on Modern Sleeze Records, and a design made for them by Canadian Art Designers ‘Seripop’. The band continued onward until a series of profound, and somewhat transcendental occurrences manifested in their lives around early 2010, which was followed by an inevitable hiatus. A few months later, Turner and Warden regrouped from their experiences, projecting the influences these encounters provided into the music of Melted Cassettes. The live performance aspect of Melted Cassettes centers around the odd events that took place in their lives, and is an attempt to inspire, creatively, and convey a message or aspect of some of the strange, paranormal, transformative and unexplained events that society sometimes overlooks. Melted Cassettes continues in its current lineup with a mission of music for positive personal/social transformation and collective conscious compassion and integration. Artist involved are [a=David Turner (8)] and [a=Mike Warden]. |

| Search | Add | 14 | Sascha Ciccopiedi | Influenced by the moods and vibrations of the techno scene at the end of the 90s, the passionate 18 year old Sascha began to work for the producer tandu / ayla for three years. With him he traveled to the thunderous clubs of that time and gradually grew into the scene. The full-time job there drives him as a young sound arranger right into the musical scene! In the reactor, which at that time belonged to one of the trance shops, he quickly earned himself a place as a resident and got involved with key figures like Marc Spoon, DJ Dag ... But always fascinated by the avant-garde of straight, technoid beats - there is only one direction for him: forward and straight ahead! He pursues this passion during his residency in the Jailhouse - which stood for deep, technoid and unstoppable club nights. Sascha Ciccopiedi has remained true to this passion to this day. Technically very strong, he arranges with a lot of passion and respect for the individual tracks - on the basis of 4 decks - sets with recognition value! Nuanced, powerful minimal tracks that drive you and have a strong meditative character distinguish Sascha Ciccopiedi as an unmistakable artist. He strictly refuses to allow himself to be categorized into genre boundaries and their typical grids. In his role as an artist, Sascha Ciccopiedi is absolutely unique and does not need to hide behind a pseudonym. With his real name he signals self-confidence and is committed to his individuality, which is clearly evident in each of his sets and productions. Less is more - Sascha Ciccopiedi! The charismatic and energetic Italian always knows how to convey the fine line between minimalism and monotony in perfect balance in the throbbing rhythm. He stands for passion for music and fills his sets with a lot of emotion without looking at any charts. His sound arrangement is very diverse and varied, consisting of deep, tribal, percussive and soulful, mediative techno. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Johnny Kemm | Johnny Kemm (Springfield, Missouri) was best known as a Lowrey organ artist. He attended Central High School (Class of 1946) and then Drury College. On June 3, 1946, a Springfield Leader and Press article (“Teen Talk” column) announced the formation of a new teen “novelty” band featuring Johnny Kemm (piano), Forrest Short (trumpet), John Hancock (vocals and guitar), and Billy Brock (vocals and bass). “This novelty band is not a dance band but the boys will put on shows consisting of popular pieces and humorous numbers played with everything from wash boards to tin whistles.” He also fronted a band while he was in Joplin, called "Johnny Kemp and the Sonics." Gene Ware was possibly a member of this band at some point. In the late 1940s, Kemm played the organ at Springfield’s Doling Park skating rink as well as the Cross Town skating rink in Omaha. In the 1950s, he had several weekly radio spots in Springfield (KGBX, KTTS) and played dinner music on the organ at the Manhattan Club. He moved to Joplin, Missouri in 1954, and was active in several area organ organizations. He was a music therapist at the US Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, past president of the Musicians Local 621 AFM, and organist at Webb City First Presbyterian Church. Around 5:00 pm on September 10, 1981, Kemm’s body was discovered along the banks of Shoal Creek in Wildcat Park, Joplin. Royce Alan Sherrill was convicted of first-degree murder of the 53-year-old by pushing him off a cliff. The prosecution contended that he had committed the murder with robbery as the goal; the defense argued that Kemm slipped and fell to his death while Sherrill was fighting off Kemm’s unwanted sexual advances. Kemm’s wife, Elizabeth, had reported him missing to police prior to the discovery of the body (Springfield Leader and Press, 12 Sep 1981, p. 11), and a try-to-locate item had been issued by police. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Jae Lurman | Jason Lurman | Jason Lurman is a guitarist, songwriter and electronic music producer from New Zealand, most known for being the co-founder and lead guitarist of instrumental post-rock band Sora Shima. Jason's music career began in high school in the mid-90's where he played bass guitar in several Hamilton-based hardcore punk and metalcore bands. By the late-90's, Jason was also producing Drum & Bass and Jungle electronic music on the family computer using the DOS-based Fast Tracker 2 software under the moniker 'distant.' It was these early, simultaneous explorations of rock and electronic music that eventually lead to the concept of an instrumental music project combining both genres - with the original mission statement for Sora Shima being "Mogwai meets Massive Attack" - though the band would largely eschew electronic production for live instrumentation. Sora Shima released several EPs culminating in the 2014 album You Are Surrounded, followed by a lengthy hiatus. In 2011, having transitioned from bass to guitar to guide the creative direction of Sora Shima, still felt the desire to bring a more electronic approach to his songwriting, Jason teamed up with Micah Templeton-Wolfe of Stray Theories to create Gang Violins - initially intended as a side-project for them both, however it has at times been their main musical focus. Jason also made a guest appearance with New Zealand post-rock band Jakob at their concert at the Tuning Fork, Auckland on June 4 2021, playing second guitar on the song Everything All of the Time. Notable achievements of Sora Shima include winning the local Band Experiments competition in 2008, supporting overseas acts including Mono, Broken Social Scene and Sonic Boom (of Spacemen 3 fame), locals Dimmer, Jakob and the Mint Chicks, as well as their music appearing in several international compilations, films, and radio shows (BBC6). Jason is married with 2 children and is a professional Graphic Designer with 20 years experience - having also contributed various logos, covers and imagery for Sora Shima and Gang Violins over the years. |

| Search | Add | 14 | Иван Жадан | Иван Данилович Жадан | Ukrainian, later American, tenor vocalist (born September 9, 1902, Lugansk, Ukraine – died February 15, 1995, St. John, Virgin Islands, USA). Born into a family of factory workers, Ivan Jadan learned the trade of blacksmith, but began singing in a church choir. During military service, he became the first singer of the regiment and joined a vocal group that performed operatic arias. In 1923, with a recommendation from Stalin's friend, Marshal Voroshilov, he was accepted into the Moscow Conservatory. Working as a blacksmith instructor at the air force academy to make ends meet, Jadan had his first chance to perform on the radio in 1926. A year later, he was accepted into the Bolshoi's operatic studio, then directed by Konstantin S. Stanislavky. In July 1928, he was hired by the Bolshoi Theater, first as singer of supporting roles, soon as a soloist, performing, for example, the "Song of the Indian Guest" in Rimsky-Korskov's opera "Sadko" and the role of Prince Sinodal in Anton Rubinstein's opera “Demon” (1929). Other leading roles include Werther in Jules Massenet's opera "Werther" and Lensky in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin." Jadan toured all over the Soviet Union. Between 1928 and 1937, he also recorded more than a dozen operatic arias and Russian romances for a number of Soviet labels. In 1935, he and several other Russian artists successfully toured Turkey where the first president of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, presented him with a golden cigarette case. In 1937, Jadan enjoyed a huge triumph as Lensky in Riga, Latvia. He extended his stay so that he could perform in "Faust" and "Rigoletto" as well, and the Soviet ambassador to Latvia arranged for him to have his costumes for these roles flown to Riga on a special plane. Jadan's subsequent request, however, to extend his stay even more so he could also perform in neighboring Estonia and Lithuania was denied. Jadan fell into disfavor with Stalin, was no longer invited to the Kremlin, received lowered concert wages, and was allowed to sing only in "Eugene Onegin" and "Demon" from then on. The final break, however, came in 1941. Jadan had evacuated his family from Moscow to his dacha in Manikhino, east of Leningrad, when the village was caught in the German advance. Facing certain deportation to a Gulag if he remained in Manikhino, Jadan and his family followed the German army's retreat. In 1943 and 1944, he made a few recordings for the German [l=Polydor] label in Berlin. In November 1944, he performed at a concert for the Russian Liberation Army that Nazi Germany had formed out of Soviet prisoners of war. After the war, Jadan and his family ended up as displaced persons in Offenbach/Main. In 1948, he managed to immigrate to the United States. He was unable, however, to resume his singing career. He gave a few concerts before mostly Russian audiences, including one in Carnegie Hall. Then he moved the warmer climate of Florida, where he, accompanied by pianist Adela H. Gonzmart, gave a series of concerts between 1952 and 1954. The concerts were recorded by the [l=Sadko] label, but a comeback eluded him. In 1955, he relocated to St. John in the Virgin Islands, where he worked as mason on one of the Rockefeller farms. He gave his last concert on St. John in January 1966. |

| Search | Add | 14 | Cliff Duphiney | Cliff was born on Aug. 7, 1934, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, age 71 After graduation from Catholic schools, he attended the Julliard School of Music and The Art Student's League, both in New York City. He then served with the Navy aboard the USS Grackle, where he was a member of the Frogmen team. He retired from the service as a Lieutenant JG. At the age of 12, his musical career began when he formed and led his own 12-piece band, the Cliff Duphiney Orchestra, which played throughout Westchester County, N.Y. Following his stint in the Navy, he formed a trio called "My Three Sons," and played nightclubs throughout the country including the Sahara and Thunderbird hotels in Las Vegas. During his childhood, he developed a love for horses which continued throughout his life. During his career as a professional musician, he also rode the rodeo circuit and worked as a stuntman in movies which lead to his show name, "Cowboy at the Keyboard." His performance at the organ keyboard so impressed the Hammond Organ Co. that it provided him with a custom-built organ and gave his performance the title "Sounds Impossible." Cliff went on to make several RCA recordings of his organ music and vocals. After 10 years on the professional circuit, he was ready for a slower pace and came to Waterville where he performed at the Ferris Arms Hotel. There he met his future wife, the former Judy Shorey. They married on Sept. 24, 1967, and hit the road together with his organ and two horses, his stunt horse, Babe, and Judy's wedding gift, an Arabian horse named Jude whom he often rode in local parades. They traveled for a year to finish out Cliff's professional contract before settling in Fairfield. Their daughter Kellie was born Sept. 2, 1968. The family's Fairfield Riverside Ranch was known for its stable of magnificent Arabian horses. Cliff continued his musical career for many years in the state of Maine at such places as the Jed Prouty Tavern in Bucksport, The Carriage Inn in Pittsfield, The Silent Woman in Waterville, the Augusta House, the Country Loft in Troy and the American Legion in Waterville as well as many others. As a child he had taken art lessons as well as music lessons and in the late 1970s, while still working as an entertainer, he again picked up a paint brush and mastered his portrait skills. He soon opened Judy's Art Gallery in Fairfield and began giving art lessons and music lessons. In the past several years, he has done portraits of many famous performers and politicians. Cliff was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Western Artists Association, and the Arabian Horse Association. | |
