Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Checo Tohomaso | Checo Tohomaso's Bio Music Director, Checo Tohomaso, brings a wealth of musical experience to the Vancouver Outreach Community Sweet Soul Gospel Choir (VOC). Born in Florida, and raised in Hawaii as well as Okinawa Japan, he has entertained with many notable performers throughout his career. Checo was honoured to play keyboards, percussion and sing background vocals for the last European tour of Motown legend, Marvin Gaye. As a keyboard player and background vocalist for the Green Machine, the band providing the sound for The Commodores and Lionel Ritchie, he continued to tour the world extensively until Expo '86 brought Checo to Vancouver. Checo’s musical journey began in early childhood where his first performances were as a member of a church choir. The son of an African-American Christian mother and Peruvian/African-American Jewish father, Checo grew up surrounded by different styles of ethnic music. When asked how his passion for Gospel music began, Checo points out “ninety per cent of American Soul, R&B, and Jazz singers have their musical foundation singing Gospel music in the church and I was heavily influenced by those artists at a very early age”. Following Expo ’86, Checo toured the Canadian school system exposing youth to ethnic and soul music. In addition, he worked extensively with the First Nations population to provide positive motivation, from the perspective of a person of colour, and deliver messages of staying in school, staying off drugs, and racial tolerance. Checo’s current focus is to communicate the positive, healing qualities of soul music to as many people as possible. He notes, “at home, everyone sings Gospel and the spirit and culture are strong. People in Vancouver are longing for real music and my goal is to bring it!” In order to achieve his goal of "bringing soul to the city", Checo also coaches soul, R&B, gospel and light jazz-style vocals, and teaches both keyboards and bass to students from across the lower mainland.

Search | Add | 4 | Conceptesia | Conceptesia project born in the first months of 2007. All begin like a game, nights spent listening to music and having very various dj sets, not following a precise way of sound. A boring sunday morning the decision : to produce own tracks. Immediately, in two weeks, six tracks are ready, very simple for the structure but very evocative for the very small period they were composed. Conceptesia put all these tracks in a cd called "Fiorino EP". The persevering presence in the best clubs of north and centre Italy contribute to increase their desire to search something different, something abstract

Search | Add | 4 | Mike Yarwood | Michael Edward Yarwood OBE | British comedian, impressionist, and actor. Born: 14 June 1941 in Bredbury, Cheshire, England, UK. Died 8 September 2023. Known as one of Britain's top-rated entertainers, Yarwood regularly appearing on TV in both his own shows and others, from the 1960s to the 1980s. He created many characterisations of famous and known characters, with his catchphrases often becoming identified with the famous figure concerned, regardless of whether the figure themselves actually using them. Two of the most well known were actually spoken by the persons he caricatured. "Silly Billy" was spoken by his caricature of member of British political party, [l=The Labour Party], and Chancellor Of The Exchequer, Denis Healey, was actually used by Healey at the time to describe strikers. It was also rumoured that "I mean that most sincerely, folks", spoken by his caricature of "Opportunity Knocks" presenter [a=Hughie Green], was made up by Yarwood, but was in reality first spoken by Green himself. Another political figure he is remembered for caricaturing, is that of British Prime Minister [a=Harold Wilson], with it even appearing on the B-side of a 7" record, "[m=958525]" (1968). |

Search | Add | 4 | Timsears | How does timSEARS (yes, you must spell his name like that) fit into the picture? Well, if you want to play 'seven degrees of separation', then you can go: timSEARS --> Very (partner in rhyme) --> Scarub (did an album with Very) --> Murs (fellow Living Legend) --> Slug (did an EP with Murs) --> Abstract Rude (hosted Slug on his "P.A.I.N.T." album). So with a couple of detours it only takes us five steps to position tim right smack in the middle of the legendary Project Blowed and with that right in the middle of the west's underground oven. But as said: detours, because timSEARS is much closer to the house that the west built, as there's more or less no degree of separation.

Search | Add | 4 | CMFA | CMFA - EST.98 | The CMFA are a fresh and audacious music ensemble hailing from the heart of creativity. With a blend of rock, alternative metal, blues, and acoustic vibes, we’re here to shake up the industry like a thunderstorm on a summer afternoon. We crank up the amps, channeling the raw energy of classic rock legends. Our riffs hit like lightning bolts, and our choruses soar higher than Everest. When the moon is full, we dive into the molten pool of alternative metal. Our guitars scream, our drums thunder, and our lyrics explore the shadows of existence. The midnight hour finds us in smoky blues bars, where we pour our souls into slide guitars and harmonicas. Our bluesy ballads tell tales of heartache, redemption, and that elusive last call. But wait, there’s a softer side too. We gather around campfires, strumming acoustic guitars under star-studded skies. Our harmonies weave stories of love, loss, and the human condition. We’re not just another band. We’re sonic alchemists, turning emotions into melodies. Our mission? To break molds, defy genres, and leave audiences wondering, “What just happened?”. Follow us on social media, where we share behind-the-scenes chaos, pics of jam sessions, and the occasional meme. Together, let’s create a musical revolution — one riff at a time. |

He emigrated to America and died on 5 January 2010, aged 96, in Palatka, Putnam County, Florida, USA. He was active in Britain during the 1940s and early 1950s. He moved to the United States in 1955 and shortly afterwards he was based in Las Vegas. Denis was English and became a semi-professional musician in the mid-1930s, accomplished on guitar and steel as well as being a whistler (some of his recordings here suggest a new genre, Whistling Western Swing). He adopted a fully ‘cowboy’ image in the 1950s through his BBC series Way Out West, and he owned several horses, which he incorporated into his act. Denis moved to the US in 1954, achieving some popularity, especially in Vegas and Reno, and issuing three LPs. A CD was compiled, mainly focusing on his 1940s recordings, mostly in the small-band western swing style. It includes versions of Sweet Georgia Brown and Sweet Sue, featuring Danny Levan’s fiddling and Canadian/British bass player Jack Fallon. Liner notes were written by Kevin Coffee, who managed to track Denis down, long resident in the US and well into his 90s. Denis was survived by his wife, Emily Wheeler (neé Hartnett). |

Search | Add | 4 | Finger Blas | Blas Finger | Blas Finger, a trained drummer, nowadays a multi-instrumentalist who uses musical tools as his way of expression and search. His musical path started in 2005-2006, when he became a member of the instrumental rock band Las Cosas and understood that recording albums was the way to go: create, make decisions, leave a record and move forward. This was followed by three studio albums released on CD, one live and a digital EP edition. To edit this material, the band created Prius Discos, a record label that has already released 77 albums of various projects and artists. In 2011 he joined Compañero Asma as a drummer to participate in the albums Mágica Posesión and Templado and became a collaborator and satellite of the band. 2012 he started collecting records (a lifelong passion, in different formats: cassette in his childhood, later cd and vinyl) and DJing. Playing records became a means of survival for him. In 2014 he participated with other DJs in the foundation of Family Affair, a cultural collective for the diffusion of ideas and music, and turned to electronic music as his own language and sound. That same year he composed, together with Pablo Spretz, the music for the short film Viedma. The duo Finger-Spretz would later found a musical project and label called Doble Moral which released a split cassette in 2017. During the period 2016-2018 he concentrated on developing his character as an electronic musician playing in a live format searching for the balance point between his major influences: kraut, ambient and electronic track music. In November 2017 the first solo work of Finger Blas -Infancia tardía- was released by Prius Discos in which he wanted to deepen this hybrid of electronic music and genres such as kraut and even dub. In May 2020 he released his next work, the EP “Cuatro notas para un futuro nuevo”, a work with an intimate tone (produced entirely in the Argentine lockdown as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic) in which confinement, uncertainty, sound experimentation and the search for freedom coexist in an ambiguous way. In November, in the middle of a musical clairvoyance, “Horas doradas” (Golden Hours) appears, his second album of 2020, a strange and painful year for the whole humanity. In 2021 Blas release by himself on Bandcamp his most ambicious work, "La Zona", a techno/electro-oriented 35 mins album. |
