Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Peev | Pierre Serafini | As PEEV, Pierre Serafini has been a name with many faces over the past 20 years. He’s a musician, a curator, a DJ and above all, a consummate music lover. Over the past few years, Pierre stepped away from the limelight, to replenish himself. This aloowed him to freed time he would invest in his studio and instruments, improving not only his production skills and live performance, but his mindset as an artist too. Pierre has always been about more than the Bass and Clubbing scenes that framed his debuts. Over 5 years of his monthly Rinse show, he’s sought out guests from the known (Jay Glass Dubs, Subtext’s James Ginzburg) to the then-unknown (KMRU, Neinzer), quickly becoming the voice of Ambient on Rinse FR. Two recent releases, the emotive “Ad Astra (Per Ardua)”, a plaintive, piano-led ambient ballad on NoSuit Records, or the sonically extreme and emotional "Snakes & Ladders" on Music for Commercials, are just facets of PEEV’s identity, as an impressive slate of releases for 2021 shows. ‘Ccendrs', Pierre's first Ambient LP was released in March 2021. It was built as a collection of six pieces that emerged from a Live AV Set I was invited to perform at the cutting-edge, community-driven COMMON Multiverse event by Currents.fm. 'Ccendrs' allowed Pierre to find his very own sweet spot after years of work. Somewhere between the over-thinking brainy context of studio and the visceral rush that comes with playing live music. After the unexpected release of emotional power-ambient EP "A Farewell to Dust" in May, Pierre keeps on delivering at a tremendous pace, with a collaborative EP composed with French rising producer Realitycheck on Lyon-based label Music for Commercials in July of 2021: a genuine throwback to the distinctive intricate percussion work and shattered, rolling basslines of PEEV's previous works, gaining exposure on outlets such as The Ransom Note, Tsugi, Bandcamp and more. On top of this, with his Bordeaux-based friend Nuit, he’s started exploring the sludgier side of low end noise for a project that will probably take listeners way beyond the frontiers of electronic music. Whatever Pierre is on, there will be energy and a feel of spaciousness and depth: a reflection of decades of experience, coupled to an always more precise and process-driven approach to both live setup and studio are definitely paving the way for his most exciting works to date. |

The first thing he ever did,at 17, apart from shows at the Pier Pavilion, was when he was seen by Tony Martell, who offered him a spot on Golden Disc, which was a talent show from Tyne Tees Television. It was the launchpad for Stuart’s career, which saw him rub shoulders with the likes of [a57619] and [a480439]. Eventually, he was picked up by the Bailey organisation, which had The Latino nightclub, in South Shields. They had the biggest chain of nightclubs in the country. They took him on, became his management, and he did all their circuit. H worked with a lot of people such as [a16748] and [a254136], they had a very similar style. Following his success on the nightclub circuit in this country, Stuart started doing shows all over the world. Then he got involved with the cruise ships. The cabaret scene had died off a little, and he was offered work on the QE 2.

Search | Add | 3 | The 59 Sound | Possibly you are facing one of more interesting profiles of the current spanish scene. The 59 Sound is a quintet based in Málaga (Spain), formed by Vic de Wee on vocals, dutch from Utrech and “Man Made Ivory” (grunge band from Utrech) former lead singer; Mateo brothers: Juan Antonio, Jorge y José Manuel (guitarists and bass player hardened in bands such as Monster -REM covers-, Hondonero, etc.; and Aurelio Tello as drummer from Madrid. They debuted in 2016 on the spanish recording scene with a Cd called “Instinto”, but a couple of years ago with the addition of Vic as vocalist and Aurelio on drums, they decided to close the previous stage and they started the project virtually from scratch. They changed their language to English and they locked themselves in the rehearsal room to shape their first songs, difficult to label, circling around an alternative rock, which it can sounds bright or dark, direct or progressive, with a powerful and solid rhythm section accompanied by precise guitars and which highlights Vic de Wee´s vocal range. After recording the "Miles Away" EP in 2020, they now return in 2022 with the "SCARS" EP, a new CD with 5 songs of their own composition, started at the Moby Dick Studios in Malaga and finished in Holland at the Barn in the Meadow Studios, Benschop, where they went to record the voices and the making the mixes with the production of Jordi Langelaan, direct technician of bands like Within Temptation or kensington.

Search | Add | 3 | Mou Brasil | In the 2000s, Mou created the group “ Bahia Black ”, which stood out for its pioneering spirit in the concept of instrumental creation based on Afro-Bahian rhythms. Through compositional and experimental research based on the rhythms of candomblé, Mou was able to combine his work with an authorial value and explore its essence as an improviser. That same year, he spent four months in Hong Kong, where he played with Angelita Lee, Tady Lo and Eugene Pao . Mou started his contact with music from an early age in the environment of the BRASIL family , a traditional family of musicians from Bahia. Studied with Samuel Mota, Nicola Stilo and Hélio Delmiro at the age of 17, he already traced his professional life playing in the Jazz Carmo Quarteto group . Later he played in Cozinha Baiana and Raposa Velha , important groups of experimental instrumental music of the time. Later he participated in the still active Grupo Garagem for about five years, with which he recorded two albums and performed in Los Angeles and toured all over Brazil, with the participation of musicians such as Leo Gandelman and Heraldo do Monte . In search of a universalist sound, Mou Brasil traveled to different countries and lived in different cities. In 1990, he moved to Switzerland , where he lived for a year and played with Steve Thorton and pianist Jeff Gardner . The partnership with Jeff earned him the invitation to record his first solo album in 1992, on the French label Musidisc. Released in Paris, where the artist lived on occasion, The CD " Esperança " is essentially authorial and has the participation of musicians such as Jacques Morelenbaum, Sizão Machado, Jeff Gardner, Carlos Bala, Don Chacal, Fernando Moraes, Sizinho, Villa Lobos Quartet , Jorginho Gomes, Luiz Brasil and Marcos Lobo. The launch show took place at EuroDisney and was attended by Nelson Veras. In 1995, he moved to New York, where he lived for a year and played with Stefano Belmondo, Paulo Braga and Joannes Weiis Miller. Mou Brasil played with important names of instrumental music such as Marcio Montarroyos, Arthur Maia, Heraldo do Monte, Nivaldo Ornelas, Nelson Ayres, Steve Thorton, Jurim Moreira, Sidinho Moreira, Alain Jean Marie, Lula Nascimento and Anunciação. He accompanied important artists from the Brazilian scene. He played with Caetano Veloso on the tour of the album “ Fina Estampa ”, in a trio formed together with cellist Jacques Morelenbaum and percussionist Mingo Araújo (Spain and Italy). He accompanied Gal Costa for four years , alternating tours of the show “ Chico e Caetano ” and DVD “Acoustic” all over Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, United States, Spain, Israel, Japan and Portugal. With Virginia Rodrigues he was in Australia, Malaysia and the United States as the show “Sol Negro”. His discography includes participations withJoão Donato, Vinícius Cantuária, Gal Costa, Mauro Refosco, Arthur Maia, Jeff Gardner and Jussara Silveira, Tamanduá Group (Switzerland). Due to his long professional career, he has been invited to teach improvisation courses and workshops at Catholic Universities and Music Schools . Five years ago he created his quartet and has performed in important projects such as Segundas Musicais, Mercado Cultural and in shows alongside artists like Larry Corryel and Stanley Jordan , as well as directing works by artists from the independent scene.

Search | Add | 3 | Keef Storm | Keith Robinson | Glasgow rave pioneer and leader of Desert Storm Soundsystem. HE was a mixed-race Celtic fan credited with founding the rave movement in Glasgow during the early 1990s. Keith Robinson was a leading member of the Desert Storm Soundsystem – a group of larger than life characters who organised free (and usually illegal) parties across the UK and Europe. Affectionately known as 'Keef', he led the charge as Desert Storm famously brought their beats to Bosnia as humanitarian relief during the Balkans conflict. At one party the front-line was a mere 10km away - they were asked to turn off their lights in case they attracted enemy fire. The group eventually becoming a significant pillar of the Teknival movement. After decades of championing the resistance against night-time curfews, a heavy-hearted post appeared on Desert Storm’s Facebook page announcing Keith’s death. The 48-year-old was said to have died taking his own life in the River Thames on September 18 last year. Desert Storm posted: “Tragically Keith Robinson ended his extraordinary and wonderful life in the River Thames on the afternoon of Sunday 18th September, apparently by choice. “His loving family needs time and space to grieve and come to terms with such a terrible and unexpected event. “They ask his many friends to share their sorrow and be patient for news until the circumstances have been better understood. The full account and funeral arrangements will be posted here as soon as possible. X” An inquest into his death will be held today at Poplar Coroner’s Court in London. Life of 'Keef' Albeit under a cloud of grief, Desert Storm celebrate 25 official years together this year. Their first rave – and Glasgow’s first illegal rave – is said to have taken place around 1991 in a disused warehouse near the docks. They said the event “was a great success with hundreds of people enjoying music late into the morning hours”. People were charged for entry, but “after some major trouble with local gangsters trying to control the door”, future events were made free. Followers will remember their continued defiance of the Conservative government’s legislative crackdown on raves, free parties and festivals throughout that decade. Acid house parties became the target of political repression in the early 90s, often taking residence in venues far away from residential areas such as squatted warehouses, empty military bases, beaches, forests or fields. This culminated in the 1994 the Criminal Justice Bill which outlawed such events, giving police new powers to stop them and seize equipment. The sound system delivered the soundtrack to a massive protest in London’s Trafalgar Square, which saw 10,000 people attend. During this event Desert Storm were approached by a member of Workers Aid for Bosnia, who asked if they would host a New Year’s Eve “morale boosting gig” in the war zone. Putting their own lives at risk they agreed, and set off that December with five aid convoy trucks, actually crossing the frontline as they travelled to Tuzla. The eventually arrived safely. During the gig itself, local police allowed the music to continue provided the lights were turned off, with soldiers dancing alongside local until the small hours. In a documentary tracking a journey to Sarajevo, Robinson said: “We don’t think that music is a luxury. We think it’s an essential. Yet it’s always one of the first casualties of war.” After Keith’s death, heartbroken tributes poured in for the resilient raver. |
