Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Little Gnome | ”All things in the world are two. In our minds we are two, good and evil. With our eyes we see two things, things that are fair and things that are ugly. We have the right hand that strikes and makes for evil, and we have the left hand full of kindness, near the heart. One foot may lead us to an evil way, the other foot may lead us to a good. So are all things two, all two.” – Chief Gray Eagle (Letakos-Lesa) Pawnee (1794). Little Gnome and Blackhill are two sides, two perspectives, two parts of one person. Little Gnome as the bright side, Blackhill as the dark one.

Search | Add | 2 | Nothinghunger | Jael Edwards | The project of Jael Edwards, Nothinghunger began in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1999 with primitive tape-collages influenced by classic industrial acts like Throbbing Gristle, SPK, NON, and Whitehouse. Expanding to a duo with the addition of Alexis Porter, the group moved towards more sophisticated instrumentation influenced by bombastic classical music and black metal, and released the "Entertente Kunst/Degenerate art" CDR EP. In 2001, Porter left the project and Edwards moved to Melbourne, Australia, where Nothinghunger went into stasis. During this four year period, Edwards acted as the vocalist for Melbourne black/death metal act Accursed, but has now returned to creating Nothinghunger material. |

Search | Add | 2 | Krazy Kraz | DJ KrAzY KrAz, the DJ, Audio Engineer and producer, got his start back in April of 1992 in NYC, when the producer of Boogie Down Productions, KRS-One, Pal Joey (Loves Gonna Get Ya, Black Cop, The Jam, and Hot Music) was having a contest for new rap groups. After 85 auditioning acts, Brothers Of The Mind won and were signed to Pal Joey Productions. Two years later, they landed a deal at Maxi/Max’n Records where the group did three singles, “Stop Scheming”, “Kick Facts” and “Rough & Tough” remixed by “the BeatMinerz” that sold well across the US and Europe, but due to poor promotions, 5 years later, the project ended. Now with his own production company called, “In The Temple Entertainment”, dj KrAzY KrAz attempts again to re-enter the business with a new label who can promote his talented roster of artist and his music.

Search | Add | 2 | Guten Tag | Czech alternative rock band. Guten Tag from Northern Bohemia became a club and cult legend at its time, and their only CD Maso (Flesh) is the time capsule of the era. Guten Tag clearly sprung from the best traditions of the Czech underground and (then) young musicians added unusual dose of flair and energy. Certain music journalist described the band as darker and more off-beat [a=Už jsme doma] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. We would describe them more as a crossover of [a=Dog Eat Dog] with original [a=Garáž] band - maybe due to the use of saxophone. However, I just realized - where were Dog Eat Dog when Guten Tag were already blasting the music from the stage? Since the shows were a real musical assault, the CD was titled Maso (Flesh) with a subtitle “hudba/music” to eliminate any possibility that some dorks could confuse it with a product of meat industry. The cover was designed by now also legendary [a=Luboš Drtina]. Leader of the band [a=Petr Mikolášek] later performed under the name [a=Significant Brother], then also in project [a=Significant Other].

Search | Add | 2 | Pizza Prostata | Swiss Punk Rock group. Biography from their homepage: We kicked off in 1992 as a 5-Piece Punk Group called the Sausage Factory. Doing things onstage is part oft he act. Anyone can play a guitar, but not everyone will get onstage with a cows brain cellotaped onto their head or paint themselves blue and set off fireworks three floors underground. In 1996 we split and became a 4-Piece unit called Pizza Prostata. We experimented with industrial sounds and loads of electronics. We had to, seeing our drummer left for Scotland, where he staied for a year to study and experience the Scottish style of wrestling. We took a break for a couple of years and found back to our rocking roots. Basic, simple, straight forward songs in the classic drums, base, guitar and vocals setup. Great songs played badly but with passion.

Search | Add | 2 | Swamp Lobsters From Planet Tharg | The Swamp Lobsters From Planet Tharg describe themselves as 'Three blokes transcending the mundane and systematic squarehead-ism, to bring you the rhythmic riddles of the cosmic crustacean. Banned from most intergalactic venues, they’re here now to share their subsonic vibrations . . . Apply at the transportation portal, for your journey into the forbidden zone . . . The Lobsterbotomy awaits . . . YEAH . . . ' The music of this three-piece outfit is reminiscent of 1960's rhythm and blues, ala The Yardbirds - fused with the Angels - and interspersed by quizzical and absurdist song titles, introducing the listener to each instrumental freak out!

Search | Add | 2 | Riley Fitzgerald | Riley Fitzgerald | Riley Fitzgerald (born in 1988) is a known figure in Brisbane's cultural landscape, notable for his contributions to music journalism, scholarship, and entrepreneurial ventures. From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a freelance music journalist. His writing appeared regularly in Australian publications Music Feeds, Happy Magazine, Stoney Roads, and Howl & Echoes. He also made contributions to Collapse Board, an influential alternative music publication founded by Nirvana and Kurt Cobain biographer Everett True. Riley’s diverse body of journalism covers underground music, mental health in the music industry, and memorable interviews with The Jesus & Mary Chain, and members of The Go-Betweens. He also documented the early years of the 2010s vinyl revival. Parallel to his journalism, Riley independently recorded and released two ambient music EPs. "Future Shocks" in 2013 and "Strange Waters" in 2014. Both showcase a talent for creating atmospheric soundscapes. He has also collaborated with Andrew Boyd (a Brisbane artist known for his work in Old Growth Cola and Chivalry). He has appeared live at experimental and free jazz festivals such as Reel Bad Music and Frakreactor. Riley has also pursued scholarly study of music at The University of Queensland and The University of Melbourne, greatly enhancing his expertise in classical and popular genres. A venture into entertainment law in 2012 provided him with a unique perspective on the legal intricacies of the music industry. In 2020, he founded and edited Cosmic, an Australian psychedelic music and art fanzine publishing longform journalism on acts like Tame Impala and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. He followed Cosmic with the creation of a second digital publication known as The Glitter & Gold in 2021. In 2022, amidst the resurgence of vinyl culture, Riley founded Glitter Records, a music shop in Brisbane renowned for its contrarian curation and a unique catalog of over 11,000 recordings. Today, Riley remains committed to music that challenges mainstream narratives and, increasingly, the preservation of forgotten recordings. His enduring passion continues to play a role in shaping innovation and new ways of thinking within Australian music. |
