Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Private Numbers | In July 1984, Danny Kristensen, Rick Richards, Doug Hines, and Bruce Moody began formulating ideas for a new band. But the first order of business was to play out the last couple of Walkee Talkee gigs that were still booked. A few months later, the band had just chosen its new name; Private Numbers. The name came about one day at rehearsal at Rick Richards’ house. Rick’s young kids had those colorful magnetic letters that stick to metal and they were all over the family refrigerator. During our breaks, one or two of us would go over to the fridge and try to come up with a band name. One of the names that we liked was Numbers. A few days of staring at that name inspired one of us to add the word Private in front of Numbers and that’s how our new band name came about.

Founded in 2009 by Toby Breitenbach in Frankfurt, who originally wanted to record and release a solo-album with the support of Pogo TS and Robby Siemens. In May 2019 BREITENBACH released the single Pretty Little Things and on September, 13th the EP On A Flow with the second lead-track Supersonic Fire.

Search | Add | 3 | Bryon Adamson-Woods | Bryon Adamson | Bryon Adamson is a Scots-born multi-instrumentalist and artist, raised in the New Forest on the South coast of England. He played bass on all of the Restoration II material, additionally playing bass, keyboards and additional guitar on Revolution By Night's only full length release 1995's album "Breathe". He also played guitar, bass and piano on the band's cover version "Kingdom Come" which was released on the "Forevermore - A Tribute to The Mission" album in Germany. He co-composed every original Revolution By Night track, including the track "Selling Heaven" which was released on the "Dreams In The Witch House" compilation CD. When Revolution By Night progressed to a future-pop / electro / synth-pop format in 2000, he wrote mainly on keyboards and played keys live. In early live shows, he additionally played guitar, and for the band's live show at Leipzig's WGT (2000) he played entirely on guitar. Around the time of the release of the "Faithless" EP in 2003, Adamson dropped the double-barrelled surname. The band "rebranded" simply as "RBN" in 2006, and released the self-produced "Machine Code EP" in time for their UK tour with Swedish scene giants Covenant and Norway's Pride And Fall. Adamson also contributed co-lead vocals to RBN's remix of Straftanz's eponymous track, aptly named "Straftanz UK (featuring RBN)", which although not released officially, was made available on Straftaz's MySpace page and was performed live by RBN several times. It was also performed by both bands together twice in London. Adamson also did much of the work on remixes for other bands such System:FX, Reaper and Nachtmahr, credited as RBN. The exception to this was RBN's remix for Komor Kommando, on which he had no part and states that he was only aware of the project after it was completed. Adamson produced all the graphic material and logo design for all forms of the band up to, but not including, the official of the full-length album, "City Lights", which was released under the name of Stok:holm. In the months prior to the release of this album, the band and management took the decision to rename the band (in light of the more searchable Rock Band Network and advice from several European DJs in the scene). The decision was then taken to scrap Adamson's artwork and use different designers for the release artwork, which Adamson felt further increased problems with certain band personnel recognising his creative and organisational input to the band. Further, with the only live RBN date of 2011 having been performed after a single rehearsal, Adamson insisted that the only live date of 2013 for Stok:holm be cancelled, considering the band insufficiently prepared. However, with the band no longer on the bill, Stok:holm vocalist and DJ Steve Weeks kept the support slot and played a clearly pre-prepared electro-hard tech-noise set with a fellow DJ. With rehearsals not forthcoming and estrangement from other band members continuing to grow, Adamson decided to put his involvement with them on ice. He relocated to Scotland in early 2015, and at the time of this edit, no further music projects have been announced. The return of Stok:holm at some stage had seemed entirely possible until an attempt to reform the band without Adamson was attempted; something to which he strenuously objected. |

Search | Add | 3 | Colin J. Boyd | Colin J. Boyd (1891-1975) Cape Breton Fiddler Colin J. Boyd was born in West Lakevale, Antigonish Country, Nova Scotia on January 1, 1891. He took a great interest in the violin at age three and would listen intently to his uncle Hughie MacGillivary. When Hughie died his fiddle was given to Colin who was then twelve years old. He was kept busy playing for concerts, dances and weddings. The economy in Nova Scotia hit a slump and in 1909 Colin went to work in Ontario. Then he spent from 1911 to 1916 working in Boston where he studied violin and learned to read music. It was during this time he composed his most famous fiddle tune "The Little Burnt Potato". Colin was the first Nova Scotian in the old time or country field to make commercial recordings. He first recorded in Montreal for Brunswick on March 19, 1932. He also recorded 78's on the Columbia and Celtic labels. He last recorded an LP in 1963 at the age of 72. His old 78's were re-issued on LP in 1979. Though Colin has ten children, none of them have taken up the fiddle. Although Colin did not make a lot of money on music, he got much enjoyment from playing and entertaining. |

Search | Add | 3 | The Blindfold Experience | The Blindfold Experience is a Musical Project with contributing artists from all over the world. The music is heavily inspired by rock and metal, although crossing many genres, and also features acoustic songs. Influences include bands and artists like Avenged Sevenfold, Queensrÿche and Dream Theater. The name Blindfold Experience was chosen because the performing musicians and vocalists never meet in most cases. We don’t even see each other; we’re just messaging each other and sending audio tracks across the world, adding our parts and sending them back. Completely Corona Safe, and we still create a musically inspiring environment, as each musician adds his or her own touch to the song. The musical journey starts in Sweden, from where the songs travel across the globe at a steady BPM to a dream team of hand-picked musicians and singers. The performing artists vary from song to song. To this date, we have performing artists, musicians, vocalists and mixing engineers from Sweden, the UK, the US, Argentina, Australia, Ecuador, Cyprus, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, Poland and Ukraine.

In fact what makes their work special, and more resonant today than that of your typical sloganeering anarcho bleater, is their awareness of their own complicity in the things they despise, and all the self-loathing that comes with it. |

Gerhard Graml has toured Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He has recorded and performed with such diverse artists as beat poet Ruth Weiss, the contemporary music ensemble "die reihe", Jazz artists Don Preston, Gary Wittner, Herb Pomeroy, Brad Terry, Tom Snow & numerous others. Gerhard's approach ranges from Jazz, Fusion to Funk and World Music. He also works as an editor and writer for music magazines and hosts a radio show on the Austrian Broadcasting Network ORF. While maintaining a busy performing schedule, Gerhard is currently teaching at Vienna Music Schools. He divides his time between Vienna/Austria and Portland/Maine. Reviews: "...stylized playing where Eastern European melodies clash with energetic American-style spontaneity. The instrumental configuration is unique. Combining the accordion with electronics and placing them im the same arena with heavy back-beat drumming and free wheeling alto blowing results in a conglomeration that cannot be neatly slotted into a musical category......." ......." Search | Add | 3 | The Jason Martinko Revue | Jason S. Martinko, born April 19, 1979, began writing songs & performing at a very early age. By the 1990s he had played countless solo performances in different bars, clubs, coffeehouses, street corners & other social events. In 1997, after graduating high school in Pittsburgh, Martinko went to Ocean City, Maryland with friend & bassist Nate Fitzgerald, born January 20, 1979. The two made a living playing together on the boardwalk nightly for tips. In time they made quite a name for themselves making headlines in several local newspapers & appearing in a TV commercial for an Ocean City bar. In 1998, they returned to Pittsburgh to record their first album entitled, “Soul Boy”. Martinko & Fitzgerald performed around Pennsylvania, Virginia & Maryland to promote the CD. In 1999, Martinko met drummer Jordan McMillen, born May 5, 1983. McMillen was in a blues band looking for a solo opening act. Martinko played a few solo shows opening up for the blues band. Eventually, Martinko, Fitzgerald & McMillen began to play shows as a three-piece band. In 2000, McMillen left his blues band & The Jason Martinko Revue was born. The band would perform in countless seedy bars & roadhouses over the next few years. They went through many musicians including lead guitarists, sax & trumpet players. The three-piece core stayed the same. They began to record a new album. In 2003, The Jason Martinko Revue released a self-titled album that would sell hundreds of copies. They appeared in many local Pittsburgh newspapers & on several TV commercials. In early 2003, the band also began to film a horror movie they had written as an attempt to better promote their band. The film, “Gone The Way Of Flesh” was finished in 2006 & is scheduled to be released by Troma Entertainment on DVD worldwide in early 2007. In 2004, Larry Tamburri, born September 19, 1958 & Joe Maryanski, born July 1, 1981 joined The JMR on trumpet & tenor sax. Their gritty, authentic rhythm’n’blues horn arrangements would complete The JMR sound. The band continued to play in bars & juke joints along the East Coast. In 2005, Nate Fitzgerald left The JMR & was temporarily replaced by Craig Bolton. With the original three-piece core broken, the band struggled to find a permanent replacement. Around this time, the band began playing several different strip clubs around Pittsburgh. With the hype of their name & movie, “Gone The Way Of Flesh” building up, they began to acquire many hardcore fans. In 2006, The Jason Martinko Revue began recording their next album which will be released on Bonedog Records. They recorded at the Mojo Boneyard Studio based out of McKeesport, PA. Craig Bolton played bass on the album, but would soon be replaced by Mike “Ollie” Osborne, born October 3, 1980. Steve Jacobs, born November 18, 1966 also replaced Joe Maryanski on tenor sax. The JMR started production on their second feature film, “Gone The Way Of Flesh II: Fresh Bloody Flesh”. Their production company is called, Cut’N’Run Productions. The Jason Martinko Revue continues to tour, promoting their one-of-a-kind style of rock’n’roll music that relates to people of all ages & colors. With their wide range of combined styles, no foot has gone untapped during any of their performances, yet their style has still gone unclassified. They truly are a category of their own.

Search | Add | 3 | Sunny Spencer | Robert “Sunny” Spencer, a 22-year member of the Sons of the Pioneers, the legendary western music group launched by Roy Rogers in the 1930s, has died. He was 75. Spencer, who lived near Branson, Mo., died Feb. 5 of respiratory failure in a hospital in Tucson, Ariz., where the group was performing, his family said. A singer and self-taught musician who played 22 instruments, Spencer used seven of them – guitar, saxophone, banjo, trumpet, fiddle, clarinet and jug – on his trademark song “Mamma Don’t Allow No Music Playin’ Round Here.” “He was such a consummate part of the group,” Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr., son of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, told the Los Angeles Times on Friday. “There wasn’t an instrument he couldn’t play; he was just an amazing musician.” Like former Sons of the Pioneer member Pat Brady, Rogers said, “Sunny was the comedy side of the Pioneers, and there is going to be a huge void for them for a while.” Rogers, who has his own group in Branson but frequently sang with the Sons of the Pioneers, added: “I don’t know anybody who didn’t like Sunny. My mom, Dale, just really loved him; he always kept her laughing.” Roy Rogers was still known as Leonard Slye when he, Bob Nolan and Tim Spencer (no relation to “Sunny” Spencer) formed a western specialty act called the Pioneer Trio in 1933 in Los Angeles. A year later, after adding another member and being told by a KFWB radio announcer that they were too young to be “pioneers,” they became the Sons of the Pioneers. Rogers left the group, which gained national recognition with hits such as “Cool Water” and “Tumbling Tumbleweeds,” when he signed with Republic Studios in 1937. Over the years, the Sons of the Pioneers have had 26 members, including Ken Curtis, and a couple of alternates, including Wesley Tuttle and Doyle O’Dell.

Search | Add | 3 | Walking on Rivers | Indie Folk Pop band from Dortmund, Germany. Walking On Rivers enjoy the reputation of a tireless and always infectious Indie-Folk band. Since their self-released debut EP „Off the Trails“ (2019) the 3-piece consisting of David Laudage, Martin Kreuzer and Sebastian “Borsti” Pieper has played countless festivals and shows all over Germany, including a sold out headline tour in January 2020 following the release of their two singles “Wherever I Go // You Follow“ and “By the Harbour“. For their latest work “TIME TO LOSE CONTROL“, which is out June 4th 2021, the band teamed up with cologne based producer Sven Ludwig (OK KID, Xul Zolar, Lina Maly). Moving perfectly between atmospheric Indie sound aesthetics and poppy arrangements on this diverse 6 song EP, Walking On Rivers have created a sound that is way more self-confident, international and mature than any of their prior work. The members are: Martin Kreuzer, David Laudage, Niklas Wiegand, Markus Kullmer and Borsti Pieper.
