Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Allied War Effort | The Allied War Effort | The Allied War Effort were bit players in the Baltimore/ Washington, D.C., music scene of a time long ago and soon to be forgotten entirely. Too clever, too irreverent, too hip, and too much too much - or, quite possibly, none of those things - the band existed from Jan. 2, 1999 to March 8, 2003. Performances were often short, spastic, and chaotic. The first show was on Feb. 20, 1999 at Black Aggies Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland. The final show took place on March 8, 2003 at The Tree House in Hyattsville, Maryland. In between, there were two tours – one short, one longer – and numerous crazy shows that somehow included playing with the bands Milemarker, Tristeza, Jerome’s Dream, Orchid, Usurp Synapse, Submission Hold, Party of Helicopters, and a basement show with Against Me. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Paging Mr. Herman | After the demise of the Pittsburgh based Ska/Punk band Skankin' Homer, drummer Drew Philp and guitar player Anthony Milarski teamed up with roadie turned bassist Tony Vinski in the fall of 2000 to form Paging Mr. Herman. After a few songs we're written they introduced the world to their own blend of indie rock, pop punk and ska with their self titled three song EP. Once they were ready they took their act to the stage, opening up for such big names as The Pietasters, Frank Jordan, and The Vacancy, all the while building a very loyal fan base with their energetic live shows. Songs such as "Sooner or Later" and "Senseless" with their catchy choruses quickly became crowd favorites. In the spring of 2003 the members of PMH decided to part ways, but it has been said that once a year they reunite for a private show for only the most loyal of fans. In the meantime you can enjoy the fabulous sound of Paging Mr. Herman with their 10 song LP, Stupidurbia, released in 2004. This CD features a wide variety of songs including Senseless, Sooner or Later, and the ode to hermaphrodites, My Special Girl. Additionally, a digital-only recording of their 10-year Anniversary Reunion show has been released in 2013 and is available for free download. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | B. Mitchell Reed | Burton Mitchel Goldberg | He was the fastest tongue in the east —and west— a rapid-fire entertainer backed by a cacaphony of bells and horns. But he also had an alter-ego, a slow-talking, introspective personna that made him a pioneer in FM underground radio. B. Mitchell Reed, whether he talked at you or to you, remains one of the great legends of rock radio. Born Burton Mitchel Goldberg in Brooklyn, New York City, USA, on 10 June 1926, Reed originally planned a career teaching political science. But, as he admitted years later, the glamour of the radio business seemed more appealing to him than life in the classroom. Education's loss was radio's gain. After getting his radio start in Baltimore, Reed got his first major job when he landed the all-night "Birdland Jazz Show" at New York's WOR-AM. In 1957 he moved to KFWB Los Angeles and did another jazz show called "Boy On A Couch", the name deriving from the fact he was undergoing analysis at the time. On 2 January 1958, Reed became part of [a=Chuck Blore]'s legendary "Color Radio"; one of the earliest Top 40 formats. Holding down the 6-9 pm shift, he entertained southern California listeners with a high energy show that included a fast delivery, a tooting horn and cowbells. Once, he was asked why he talked so fast? His reply: "you're listening too slow". In 1963, Reed took his act to his hometown of New York and the station which most people identify him with, WMCA. Reed spent two colorful years holding down the 7-11 pm shift, further establishing himself as one of America's top radio personalities. While there, he played a major role in introducing The Beatles to the Big Apple (not that they needed any help). Reed left New York in 1965 (4000 people saw him off at the airport) and returned to KFWB in LA for the "The Wide, Wide Weird World of BMR". But music was changing, and Reed's approach changed with it. Soon the horns and bells disappeared from his show, as did the Top 40 delivery. In its place was album rock, with less (or at least more meaningful) patter and more platter. In late 1967, B. Mitchel Reed helped FM rock pioneer Tom Donahue launch KPPC-FM Pasadena serving Los Angeles, one of the first so-called "progressive rock" or "underground" stations. In early Summer 1968, Reed and Donahue provided four hours of taped album rock daily on KMET-FM Los Angeles to get the station started. By autumn of 1969, KMET-FM was 12 hours Live. By 1971, KMET would evolve into a Live 24-hour Rocker at FM 94.7 with a very strong signal. In the 1970's, the Beemer moved on to such stations as KRLA, KMET and KLOS, his legend growing and evolving just as rock music was doing the same. As LA Times columnist James Brown wrote, "he kept his mind open and his spirit free". It was in 1972 that Reed was asked to recreate his old WMCA show for Watermark Productions, which was putting together the now famous "Cruisin'" series. As legend has it, the Beemer needed 18 cups of coffee to get his energy level back to where it was in the early 1960's, when he actually did the show. Many "Cruisin'" buffs consider it one of the best —if not the best— of the series. Reed was plagued by health problems during his later years. He had a cornea transplant in 1974, but he refused to let it slow him down, even doing his show from a hospital bed. In 1978, he had successful coronary bypass surgery. In 1981, BMR became the first host of ABC's Rockline program, his first guest being [a=Joe Walsh]. His lingering heart problem overtook him, however, and he died of heart failure, aged 56, on 16 March 1983 in Malibu, California, USA. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Piet Karregat | Born in 1979 in Purmerend, then raised in Volendam, the Netherlands. After 28 years moved to Amsterdam Southeast and moved to Enschede at the end of 2019. After traveling through Ireland with his parents, he was given a tin whistle as a memento. A while later, with barely the Vader Jacob repertoire in the pocket, he decided to apply for a job with a band. Actually was hired, but almost immediately “fired” again, after which he founded the band The [a=Irish Wolfhounds] together with his later band colleague [a=Sjoerd van Ravenzwaaij]. During that time learned to play various instruments and expanded the repertoire considerably. | |
