Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Rustre | Lukas Schöttner | Rustre's songs negotiate opposites. His figures move between melancholic doubt and detached confidence. They ask questions and search for answers. And where human language reaches its limits and becomes a cage of thoughts, music becomes a universal means of expression. The singer and musician from Leipzig consciously searches for friction, uncompromisingly combines analogue instruments with electronic sequences and natural field recording samples with melodically blurred soundscapes - all arranged, recorded and mixed by himself. Rustre gives things the time they need. And thus, canonical song structures are dissolved, clear lines are broken. Instead: impatient rhythms, distorted bass guitars and warped instruments, rustling sound samples that first creep in quietly, building up layer by layer, to rage into a powerful discharge. Often, the songs end somewhere completely different than where they started. Everything may be as it is. |

Music with a subhuman vibe needed to happen soon. Then Jilly stepped into the picture, took off her mascara, and chained herself to a big damn amp. With a purposeful grimace, heavy beats were thrown down between the guitars, vocals, and flute. In 2014 our EP Spaced Rock was recorded, with Joe Dean on Bass and John Collision on drums, at Justin Burrill’s studio in Echo Park, CA. | Search | Add | 4 | Debbie Whitten | Debbie Whitten | Debbie Whitten was born in the same maternity home as Japan's David Sylvian in David Bowie's Beckenham stamping ground, and grew up in a household heaving with the sounds of Swing, Frank Sinatra and 1950s rock'n'roll. Debbie cut her teeth as a singer during the 1990s with London combos The Tax Band, Blazing Saddles and Cryin' Shame, performing at many of the capital's top venues, including the Hilton, Marriott and Grosvenor Hotels, the Cafe Royal, the Mermaid Theatre, the City Golf Club and Old Billingsgate premier event space. While she recorded little during this period, in 1995 she did cut three tracks with Derek Tennent's Tax Band at Terminal Studios, sometime haunt of the embryonic Gallagher brothers. In 1999 Debbie was invited to record some demos with producer Steve Hill at his Hampstead studios, but these did not see the light of day immediately. In 2007 South London label Radi Records released her sparkling debut album "Autumn Leaves", once again helmed by Steve Hill and recorded at Oxfordshire's Woodworm Studios, sometime home of Fairport Convention. The set comprised a raft of classic new material along with remastered versions of the three Terminal Studios cuts. A seven-track EP, also entitled "Autumn Leaves", was issued at the same time, followed closely by "Hampstead '99", which gathered the previously unreleased demos from the Hampstead Studios sessions. In 2018 Radi released the EP "6-Track Demo: London 95/98-99" which paired the three Tax Band tracks with three of the Hampstead recordings. The pairing of these two albums and EPs are the perfect showcase for Debbie's vocal mastery of both powerful r&b and sensitive, heart-wrenching ballads. |

Robert, Anna and Kacper together create a new project called Gastrula. At the end of the 90s, Anna Zaradny joined on the saxophone and bass guitar (EP'98). In the years 2000-2002, the band Stuckonceiling in the line-up of Majewski / Piotrowicz / Zaradny performed extensively, played at the Audio Art festival in Krakow, Jazz in E, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and also played abroad, incl. in New York (Knitting Factory, CBGB, ABC No Rio), Chicago (Empty Bottle), Philadelphia. The band has been in existence since 1990 and has passed through a lot of changes in it's music and personal dimensions. Since the beginning, the band has been involved with the alternative scene. It released many recordings (generally tapes) in that time, that are only historical for now (ex. "Wahadla Godzin" MC). Since 1997 the band has noted big changes in it's music. Experiment with form, intensification of it's own language and resign of affiliation to a variety. In '98 and '99 new recording sessions took place. The change of music meant a change of crew - from quintet to quartet. In September '99 it released - "Na Horyzoncie Rwert" CD. This material is a deconstruction of the band's characteristic, hermetic, disharmony, rock form and disclosures inclination to the experimental and improvised music. After this experience, comes time for revising the identity. References to the traditional varieties have been renounced. Unexpectedly, one of the members - Sebastian Krawczuk (bass) is leaving the motherland. The band has been working with different musicians and has finally turned into a trio (alt sax, git, dr). Occasionally, guest musicians are appearing with the band (recording sessions, workshop, concerts with Hasse Poulsen, Peter Friis Nielsen, Christer Irgens-Moller, Kumi Wakao - new CD of trio Wakao/Zaradny/Piotrowicz was released). New compositions are characterized by open form, decided way of creation and strict esthetic. European, contemporary, experimental and improvised music associate within the musical regions that STUCKONCEILING is frequenting. Owing to developing contacts with many European musicians, the trio are climbing up from level to level of initiation. The crew are playing many concerts in Polish towns. Excerpts are: AvantgardeAriergrade Festival (Insko), Music of The End of Century (Dierzoniów), Hardcore Festival (Katowice), Jazz Mondays in Theater Kana (Szczecin), Muzyka z Mozgu Festival 2000. From the beginning of the existence of the band, Robert Piotrowicz (1973), the managing person and the author of the compositions, has been styling the musical image of the band. Starting from dissonance without loading harmonic styles, he is experimenting with all kinds of articulation techniques. Using mechanical preparation and electronics he is focusing on creating sounds and tones that are untypical for electric guitar. He is member of art group OFFicyna Place of Art, also he organizing series of concert in his hometown Szczecin and small tours for improvised/experimenal etc music. Anna Zaradny (1977) after experiences with various music styles (classical music, big band, rock, jazz) has chosen extreme treatment of instrument. Saxophone is her field of exploration. She's interested in improving nontraditional techniques. This instrumentalist is absorbing the attention by thunderous and dynamic expressionism. She is the band's business card. Jaciek Majewski is percussion player in formation Mazzoll & Arhythmic Perfection. Recorded together from M & AP nastêpujace plates:"and","Out out this luncheon" and "Conversations s catem". One can his also to hear on solo - plate Miko³aja Cracks "Din - concert in Brain". Majewski appeared teê on moment on album "Enoptronia" by Tomasz Gwinciñsky playing in one from compositions, private solo on Congoes. Majewski Janicki and Mazzoll formed radical trio Arhythmic Brain. Other common project of section Janicki / Majewski this Pieces of Brain - ephemeral trio formed from American div saxophones Caroline Kraabel, which gave series of concerts in Poland in spring 1997. Year later came into being second edition of trio Pieces Of Brain. This together of section Majewski / Janicki partnership Ion To twenty-four hours - English guitarist. Occasionally gives a concert from Yass Big Bands RT. Tymañskiego. | |

As was customary in a family dedicated to the arts, the child was given music lessons from a variety of gurus such as Coimbatore Thayi, Padam Pattabhiramayya, Fiddle Subba Rao and the redoubtable Veena Dhanammal. By the time she was in her teens she had become a vocalist of repute. In the early twenties many women singers lived in the George Town area and one of them was Tiruvarur Rajayi. Kootanur Ayyaswami Iyer, a man who was known for his large repertoire of the works of Tyagaraja, but who could not make a mark as a vocalist came to teach Rajayi. Ayyar and Lalithangi met in the house of Rajayi. He began teaching Lalithangi too and soon they were drawn to each other and tied the knot in the mid-1920s. Vasanthakumari was born in 1928 to this couple. There was an impromptu music performance by the great vocalist Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer during the cradle ceremony of the child. Young Vasanthi was taught music at home, even as she was sent to the Good Shepherd's Convent for formal education. This was short-lived. Lalithangi's frequent asthmatic attacks curtailed her concert opportunities and consequently her income. Her husband took to giving music lessons to children of affluent families. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Philips Wouwerman | Philips Wouwerman also Wouwermans | Philips Wouwerman (also Wouwermans) (24 May 1619 (baptized) – 19 May 1668) was a Dutch painter of hunting, landscape and battle scenes. Philips Wouwerman was one of the most versatile and prolific artists of the Dutch Golden Age. Embedded in the artistic environment and tradition of his home town of Haarlem, Wouwerman made an important and highly influential contribution to the canon of seventeenth-century Dutch painting. His pictures were in demand during his lifetime, and even more sought after in the 18th century. Throughout Europe, formerly princely art collections like in Dresden and St. Petersburg still bear witness to this widespread admiration of Wouwerman's art. Born in Haarlem in 1619, the son of a now altogether obscure painter named Pouwels Joostsz. Wouwerman, little is known about the artistic schooling of Wouwerman. According to Cornelis de Bie, he studied with [a=Frans Hals] (1581/85–1666), but the particular style of Hals didn't leave a foot mark on his oeuvre. Apart from a short stay in Hamburg at the end of the 1630s, Wouwerman seemed to have lived in Haarlem during his whole artistic career and died as a prosperous member of the community at the age of 48. He joined the Haarlem Guild of St. Luke in 1640 and here took on several official posts in the years to come. Wouwerman also worked as an estate agent in his home town, as many documents in Haarlem archives mentioned the artist in this context. Wouwerman started his artistic career with simple depictions of everyday life in the tradition of the bamboccianti by Pieter van Laer (1592/99–after 1642). His paintings of the mid-1640s often feature a diagonal slope of land, a tree which functions as a repoussoir, and figures accompanied by horses. Over the next thirty years he developed an individual style, treating a wide range of subjects from genre and landscape to military and religious scenes (equestrian scenes, hunting and hawking parties, landscapes with travelers, cavalry battles and military encampments, peasants festivities etc.). He is noted for his skill in the depiction of horses of all breeds seen in motion. The art historian Frederik J. Duparc calls Wouwerman " undoubtedly the most accomplished and successful 17th-century Dutch painter of horses". The masterpieces from his best period (around 1650–1660) are of indisputably high quality, beautifully combining imaginary southern landscapes and a typically Dutch atmosphere. Wouwerman's paintings are characterized by subdued colors, a cool atmosphere and a wealth of witty, anecdotal details. He died in Haarlem. At an early age, Wouwerman married Anna Pietersz. van Broeckhoff with whom he had ten children. They lived on the Bakenessergracht in a house that was also lived in by Haarlem painters Cornelis Gerritsz Decker and Hendrik de Meijer. Seven of the Wouwerman children survived and, after the death of their mother in 1670, accepted a substantial inheritance. Jan and [a=Pieter Wouwerman], the younger brothers of Philips, were often regarded as close followers whose pictures seemed to have been frequently attributed to Philips. And indeed, the oeuvre of Pieter (1623–1682) clearly manifests the influence of Philips with regard to the range of subjects, but regarding the artistic style, Pieter had quite one of his own. And Jan (1629–1666) was a rather autonomous landscape painter. Out of the countless followers, some of the most gifted artists working in Wouwerman's style are worth mentioning: Jan van Huchtenburgh (1647–1733), the brothers Jan Frans (1683–1750) and Joseph van Bredael (1688–1739) as well as Carel van Falens (1683–1733). His registered pupils were Johannes van der Bent, Hendrick Berckman, Eduard Dubois, Nicolas Ficke, Barent Gael, Anthony de Haen, Emanuel Murant, [a=Matthias Scheits], Kort Withold, and his brothers. The first retrospective exhibition of Philips Wouwerman's work took place in Kassel, Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, and in The Hague, The Royal Picture Gallers Mauritshuis, 2009/2010. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Tom Gardberg | Tom Gardberg | Born 1941. A Finnish singer and songwriter. Trubaduuri Tom Gardberg (s. -41) aloitti jazzmusiikin parissa 14-vuotiaana. Hän oli mukana, kun turkulainen "Harlem Jazz Club" otti ensiaskeleitaan vuonna 1961 ja kuuluu edelleen elinvoimaisen Clubin jamimestareihin. Vuonna 1966 Tom perusti laulelmaseuran "Sällskapet Visans Vänner i Åbo", joka on maan toiseksi vanhin laulelmaseura. Tom on toiminut varsinaisen leipätyönsä ohella trubaduurina vuodesta 1964 lähtien, jolloin hän voitti Turun ruotsinkielisen "Ponnahdus pinnalle" -laulelmakilpailun. Vuonna 1965 Tomin laulelma Natthamn - Yösatama sijoittui kolmanneksi kilpailussa, jossa Tove Janssonin ja Erna Tauron kappale Höstvisa sai toisen palkinnon. Vuonna 1979 hän voitti Siipyyn laulelmakilpailun laululla Någon nynnar en vals ja 1989 Kotkan meripäivien merimieslaulukilvan laululla Yöpurjehdus. Tom Gardberg on julkaissut kaksi LP-levyä ja vuonna 2002 tupla-CD:n, joka sisältää jokseenkin koko hänen siihenastisen tuotantonsa. Sama materiaali on julkaistu nuottivihkosena Schildts -kustantamon toimesta. "Laulelmantekijänä Tom Gardberg edustaa yli neljän vuosikymmenen kattavalla tuotannollaan trubaduuriperinteen absoluuttista kärkeä. Hänen laulujensa taustalta kuultaa menneitten vuosikymmenten kotimusisoinnin perinne". Gardbergin aihepiiri liikkuu meren, saariston, perheen ja suurten eksistentiaalisten kysymysten ympärillä." | Search | Add | 4 | Too Much For The White Man | Irish Reggae band from Tuam in County Galway who formed in 1985 and disbanded in the early 90s. The idea of the group came together when band members were living in London. While in the UK capital, the band started playing with Jamaican musicans. This gave rise to their interest in reggae. Leo Moran only remained with the group for a short time as he left in 1986 to form [a=The Saw Doctors]. They returned to Tuam in 1987. They derived their name from a rough translation of a Spanish phrase. Band member, John Brogan, had just returned home from the Canary Islands where the heat there was described as being 'Too Much For The Whiteman'. Put Your Mind At Ease reached Number 28 in Ireland on the 13th of October 1988 where it stayed for one week. They also contributed the track 'Try A Little Harder' to the soundtrack of 'The Courier', a film featuring Gabriel Byrne and Patrick Bergin. Too Much For The Whiteman split in the early 90s. However, they reformed on the 22nd of August 2015 to perform live at the SugarBeat Festival in Tuam Stadium. On the 29th of April 2017 they played live again at The Brogue Bar, Tuam in honour of their late bass player [a=Dermot Holian] aka Der who had lost his battle with cancer on the 18th of July 2015. The proceeds of that gig went towards Galway Hospice. Line up: Martin 'Mouse' McHugh - Vocals Mike Ivory - Guitar Axel Grude - Keyboards Dermot Holian - Bass Gerry McHugh - Percussion Alan Flynn - Drums Danny Kelly - Trombone John Brogan - Drums | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Cori Brewster | Cori Brewster was born and raised in Banff, the Rocky Mountain resort town in Alberta, where the Brewster family has resided for over 120 years. She began singing with her mom and sisters on Rocky Mountain trail rides. Like all young women do, Cori left home to experience life outside this small town, carrying with her that profound `sense of place’ wherever she went. Brewster entered Red Deer College to study Physical Education but after graduating from University of Alberta, with a Bachelor of Physical Education, the pull of music was tugging at her soul. Cori moved to Winnipeg to begin her journey, recording her first singles that began her foray into country music. Several of Cori’s singles achieved chart topping success. In 1994, Cori hit the ground running with the release of `One More Mountain’. With appearances at the Calgary Stampede, The Tommy Hunter Show, Merritt Country Festival,Whistler Roots Festival and many hours on the road, `One More Mountain’ was a hit. With a successful tour of Germany, an official showcase at SXSW and a nomination for female artist of the year by the Alberta Recording Industry recognition as a singer songwriter solidified. The response for her video’s, `Spin on a Red Brick Floor’ and `Good as Gone’ was great, both achieved high rotation on CMT and Country Beat. Cori’s commitment to the music industry was cemented. `Buffalo Street’ Cori’s 4th CD reflect her continuing commitment to the craft of songwriting and attention to detail that so effectively evokes a time, a sense of place, a character and of course a range of emotion. `Buffalo Street’ is a collection of beautiful stories inspired by the rich history of the Canadian Rockies and its people. Songs cover a diverse range of subjects and characters from the personal to the historical and from the genealogical to geographical. [excerpts from http://coribrewster.com/bio.pdf] | |
