Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Follow Me Dark Follow Me Dark is a genre-pushing alternative rock band formed in Grass Valley, CA in 2019. Consisting of Stephen Kozak (vocals/guitar), Sean Delphi (guitar), Elliott Grove (bass), and Jim Boots (drums), the band’s sound ranges from wailing metal riffs to intricate textural interludes, from melodic rock choruses to emotional breakdowns, from bliss to hysteria, agony to triumph. At once accessible and unpredictable, the music on their 2020 self-titled debut album takes the listener through emotional and spiritual peaks and valleys, daring them to undergo a heroic journey through strange inner realms. They refined their craft on the 2022 “An Offering” EP which featured their sharpest songwriting yet. Their 2025 sophomore LP, “Far From Any Shore”, produced by the band and Chris Tabarez of Boz Scaggs fame, takes this a step further in a concept album format based on the Hero’s Journey writings of anthropologist Joseph Campbell. This is music for old-school music lovers who grew up on dense, intellectually stimulating albums from the likes of Pink Floyd, while incorporating the emotional guts of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins and adding a splash of Mogwai-esque post-rock textures and Deftones style metal riffs. Born of the underground, but made for the underserved masses of album rock fans across the generations.

Search Add 2 Alien Pathway 22 Project born as an experiment by the man behind [a=Black Mountains Chronicles], [a=Immortal Agony], [a=Kurai Keshiki] and, in the past, [a=Tombstone]. This experiment sounds very differently from the other projects, since it uses a lot of synth sounds which give a sci-fi taste to the tracks, together with, of course, the pertaining titles. Music is made instrumental but contains some transformed (alienated) vocal samples from real talking girls and some sci-fi old movies. The synth is played live and not programmed and drums are used only on some tracks. Sometimes the soundscapes are a little similar to Immortal Agony but tracks are very different one from each other, so there is a lot of variety. Imagine a genre which you can call Space Death Industrial, but which in some moments blends into Space Ambient and in others transforms into weird Noise collages.

Search Add 2 Davy Van Laere Originally a full time skateboarder DVL was introduced to Hip Hop in the early 90's by fellow belgian's [a47573] and [a6152376], together known back then as [a261434]. They passed on the Hip Hop bug to DVL and with it an addiction for record hunting, as he went out to track down all the originals beats and breaks. Since those early days, DVL as gone on to release two instrumental EP's [r=1600601] and [r=1600641], both as [a345195], on his own record label [l45907] Records. For these releases he collaborated with friends and colleagues from the belgian Hip Hip world ,with beats from [a47573], [a380748], [a237761] and [a3824067]. He also released a series of mixtape under the name [a345195], on his own label. Around 2004 DVL decided to leave the music scene in order to to fully focus on one of his other passions photography.Together with his love of skateboarding he became one of the founders of Wood, Belgium's only magazine solely dedicated to skateboarding. This has enabled DVL to become one of the most sought after skateboarding photographer around.
