Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Paul G. Stafura | Paul G. Stafura | Paul Stafura's tamburitza experience began in 1961, at age 12, when he became a charter member of The Junior Tamburitzans of Duquesne (Duquesne, Pennsylvania). These beginnings occurred through the encouragement of his parents who wanted to develop his love for music and for his ethnic background. Just a few years later, another charter tamburitza group began in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, called the Ambassador Tamburitzans under the direction of Mr. Ivan Yanzetich. It was an all male group that played advanced selections of tamburitza music. Another community group organized by Walter Kolar, called The Tamburitza Philharmonic Orchestra, was in existence. Its purpose was to perform more classical selections for symphonic presentations on the tamburitza. By joining these groups and small combos, a strong appreciation for tamburitza playing developed, which prepared him for acceptance into the Duquesne University Tamburitzans as a performer from 1967 to 1971. Six years of undergraduate and graduate study provided great opportunities to tour both domestically and internationally. Several albums were recorded during those college years, and it was an educational experience to play and perform with so many talented musicians who came from different musical backgrounds. As the years went by, Paul performed and recorded with The Steve Vesolich Tamburitza Orchestra and played many fun gigs with The Continental Dukes of Pittsburgh. The technical side of 'live' recording became an interesting hobby leading to self-recorded albums of The Duquesne University Tamburitzans and, for several years, partial ownership of Granny's Attic Communications. During his ongoing work as Company Manager with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, Paul penned many musical arrangements for each season's production, as well as for their travel abroad. In 1982, he was awarded a 'Meet the Composer' grant from the state of Pennsylvania for a special musical arrangement. Since 1988, he has been the Managing Director of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans, which has been a tremendous experience of directing music, song, and dance with America's premiere folk ensemble. This season marks 40 years of rewarding work with the Tammies, as a student and as a professional. |

In 2002 german DOM ELCHKLANG label started a CD re-issue series of Bauknecht's outstanding early solo compositions.

Search | Add | 3 | Manzoor Ahmad Khan Niazi | Ustad Manzoor Ahmed Khan Niazi has passed away today. He was 98. He was, both age-wise and stature-wise the senior-most Qawwal in the Indo-Pak Subcontinent. He had one of the most instantly recognizable and absolutely, mellifluously endearing voices in all of Qawwali. He was the leader of the most phenomenally gifted, albeit short-lived Qawwali group of the last century, a Supergroup which included his cousins Munshi Raziuddin Khan. Ustad Bahauddin Khan and Iftekhar Ahmed Nizami, and whose surviving recordings seem to date from a time and place that's almost too phenomenally wonderful that merely listening to them sometimes feels like an act of desecration. His last recordings, from when he was 90 years old, still carried the same verve, the same 'taazgi' as his recordings from the '60s His was the voice that first sang Maulana Jami's "Naseema" and Nawab Hilm's "Yaad Hai Kuch Bhi Hamaari Kanhaiyya" to me, and even today I can scarcely appreciate these two canonical Qawwali kalaams in any other Qawwal's voice. With Niazi Sb's passing closes the chapter of the Golden Age of Pakistani Qawwali. He was a predecessor of, and later a contemporary of Nusrat, The Sabri Brothers, Aziz Mian Qawwal, Bakhshi Salamat Qawwal, Aziz Ahmed Warsi, Jafar Hussayn Khan Badayuni and ALL the Qawwals of the latter three quarters of the twentieth century. He survived them all well into the twenty-first century before finally returning to his Maker

Search | Add | 3 | Duo Leon - Rios | Folk group officially formed on February 5, 1955 by David León Libuy and Juan Olivares Ríos in the city of Viña del Mar, although temporarily baptized with the name of Los Tempraneros. David León and his great friend Juan Olivares were born in 1938. David sang the second voice and played the harp, while Juan was the first voice and guitar. They were mainly good friends since childhood, beginning to play together from the age of eleven. Its history stretched into the late '90s. Its members are: Juan Olivares Ríos, first voice and guitar and David León Libuy, harp and second voice The collective album Cuecas de la ramada oficial from 1970, where they participated with other musicians from the Valparaíso region, presents them like this: “David León and Juan Ríos, were born into artistic life in February 1955, under the friendly eaves of Rancho Criollo from Viña del Mar, from where they set off on a tour across the country. In 1958, they had the opportunity to perform in Goyescas, now disappeared, for 45 days. Later they made various tours throughout the country and on two occasions, to Peru and Argentina”. As that record, released by the Phllips label in 1971, says, the ensemble of the two friends from Viña Marta was forged fundamentally live. In 1971 they qualified in the folkloric competition of the XII Viña del Mar Song Festival with the tune “Espigas para un recuerdo”, winning in the category of Best Performer. The same year they participated in the Huaso de Olmué Festival and won the Guinda Festival with “Tonada en la noche”. It was then that they finally recorded their own album, the LP edited by Phillips Dúo León-Ríos. The presentation of the album, written by the director of Radio Porteña Jaime Atenas (father of the Congreso saxophonist) thus describes its history and the delay in registering its songs, according to the transcription of the Cuecas Chilean Recording Songbook site. “The León-Ríos duo was not formed or made for a Song Festival. I met them more than 15 years ago, when they were still wearing shorts, but I also met them with their harp and guitar and their tremendous love for Chilean folklore, I know them well and I know of their many pilgrimages to show their art and only 1971 comes to be a year of effective achievements. Maybe you don't know them, despite their many important performances: Tour with Chile Laughs and Canta, Festival de la Inda, in Olmué, Casino Municipal and especially in a nightclub in Viña del Mar, where they spent more than six years waiting for the hour… and the hour arrived”. In 1972 they qualified again at the Viña Festival with "Pa' no soñarte", and although their musical profession was displaced several times by other activities, they remained active until the '90s. They traveled to unusual destinations, such as Dubai or Toronto, performing before the Chilean colonies, and in 1987 they returned to the Viña del Mar Festival accompanying the singer Tito Manríquez. Juan Olivares passed away in 2011 and David León Libuy passed away on February 18, 2016. His remains rest in the Parque Jardín del Mar Cemetery. Viña del Mar, Chile

Search | Add | 3 | Theopolis James | Ted Bunch – Vocals / Guitars / Keyboards Ted has been playing music since age 8. He has lived and made music in Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Austin, New York, St. Louis, Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. Ted is proud to feature the kickin’ rhythm section of Miles Holland on drums and Joe Jandura on bass. Miles brings song writing, lead and background vocals along with his monstrous talents on the drum kit. Joe’s thunderous bass playing is in the pocket, full bodied and rockin’, making this power trio large as marge. Ted can currently be heard fronting his next generation band EGO ALIEN. He’s also played with, recorded and/or produced a variety of artists including: The Ticket, Slackface, Thick, Trunk of Funk Productions, Second Line Productions, Black ‘n’ Decca, Soledad Brothers, Purity of Essence, The Chance Trio, The Jon Madof Trio, The Kevin Collins Quartet, Lazlo, Evelyn Aileen Bunch, The Water Tower Home Schoolers, Gank, The Highwire Gallery’s Jazz Series, MotherGod, Surge, Cryermouth, Sex In Violets, and LOS CONFABULATORS. Miles Holland – Vocals / Drums In 1997, a crack commando drummer was sent to the United States by a military court for a musical crime he did not commit. This man promptly escaped from a musical security stockade of endless stadium Rock to the Collingswood, NJ underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a drummer of fortune. THEOPOLIS JAMES had great guitar driven songs, no one else could keep the beat, so when they found him… they just had to recruit… Miles Holland* *Miles Holland plays courtesy of anyone who will take him. He’s thirty-something, almost six feet tall, and weighs 156 lbs. His influences range anywhere from stuff he currently has on his ipod to songs he heard on WXPN last night. Joe Jandura – Vocals / Bass Joe has been playing the bass guitar for over twenty years. He has been in several different bands and projects with the most recent being No Warning Shots, a metal band out of Bellmawr, NJ. He got started early with music at the age of four when he took lessons on the organ and later moved to the bandura (ukrainian string instrument). After that it was keyboards until the age of fourteen when a close friend got him hooked on the bass guitar. He’s been wrestling with the four (and sometimes five) string beasties ever since.

Search | Add | 3 | Ryan B Hyeeze | Ryan Ballard | Hyeeze grew up in New Haven CT a.k.a. The Elm City. He developed a natural born talent to entertain large groups of people through acting. Professor Thomas Green of Yale University founded a traveling company that performed from school to school in the local areas known as Yale’s Open End Theater.Ryan quickly took notice and joined the company. He increased his experience with stage presents and public speaking and taking on the lead roles in two of the plays. With that held down for four years through high school, he wanted to share his personal views instead of other writers views to an audience. At this point in his life, he started writing poetry. Using the format of story telling over music, the poetry was formatted into raps. He describes stories everybody can relate to with humor and guaranteed to rock a crowd. Hyeeze sticks to real life issues of young minoritys growing up in poverty in high crime areas yet, the young artist can bring entertainment to any situation." He makes concept songs with a combination of word play make him more than capable to sell platinum records. Hyeeze quotes “ Ill never let a beat carry my lyrics, my lyrics will carry the beat.” If you take away anything from Hyeeze when he performs, it's the fact he always stays real and will always leave you wanting more. He is on a path to resurrect hip hop in a way that has not been done before. With that being said, the next time some one asks you who is Ryan? You can tell them that’s “ Ryan B Hyeeze he the homie coming strait from the ELM CITY!! |

Search | Add | 3 | Tres Chic (2) | TRES CHIC loves glam rock! And Chicago loves Tres Chic! That’s how the band would like to be remembered. They were a staple on the Midwest club circuit in the early 90’s bringing their style of ‘Glam Rock’ to those fans looking to express themselves through good-time party music and style. The band held their own for numerous years bringing the party wherever they played – and the locals knew that this was more than a show, it was a spectacle not to be missed! They were born at the THIRSTY WHALE (Chicago’s premiere hard rock club), back when big hair and rack systems ruled the stage, and when a show was a ‘show’! The thing that really stood out about Tres Chic was that these Contempo shopping, street walking, misfits had more fun drinking and partying than anyone!!! And that’s no exaggeration! They where loud, obnoxious, and very silly looking, but it didn’t stop them from sharing the stage with some of the coolest bands, playing some of the hottest venues, f@#king some of the most beautiful ladies, and hosting a ton of garage and backyard parties. Often compared to the ‘other favorite Chicago glam band’ Enuff Z’nuff, They took the image of glam ten times further. But it only takes a little bit of money, a little bit of an eye for the eccentric, and a few cool chicks wanting to play dress up with you to create a solid ‘Glam’ image. Without the music – you had nothing, and you didn’t last long all dolled up on the ‘mean streets’ of Chicago. They did have the music, and that was evident by the legions of fans who came out to every show to listen to the band run through memorable song after memorable song; but perhaps the biggest drawing power was the sing-a-long power ballad “Memory Lane” – hands down one of the favorite songs on the “unsigned” Chicago scene in the early 90’s. A power ballad in the late 80’s and early 90’s gave a band mileage, and this helped them land many coveted opening slots for national touring artists. Tres Chic Was: Anthony Settecase aka Jami Showboy - Vocals Joe Hibbs aka Brandy Brooks - Bass Brian Pauly aka Brian Brooks - Guitars Tommy Salzinger aka Tommy Up - Drums Tony Zolla aka Tony Z - Guitars Gary Berndt aka G.B. Whip - Drums
