Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Community Musk | Community Musk were formed in 2003 as a concept band. A concept that involved no songs, no gigs, and no ability to play any musical instruments. In 2006, a line-up change saw Daniel Edwards join the band, a change that added some musical capability to the band- although critics have staunchly argued this claim. Daniel writes songs of love and loss, of heart and of hope, using an acoustic guitar, a harmonica and a mumbled voice on a cheap microphone. The project is now stalled, but [a=The Clouded Alps] came to fill in the void. | |

Bio: Electronic Musician, Independent Filmmaker, AV Artist and owner of street fashion brand ELECTROPUNK DEZiGN. Alexei De Bronhe is a Minsk-based music producer and video artist from Belarus. Participant of many international music, film and media festivals, Alexei has represented his native country at numerous events in Italy, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, and Estonia, such as: Reeperbahn Fest (Hamburg, Germany), Loftas Fest (Vilnius), Seazone Music Sopot Conference (Poland), Rugstynes Fest (Vilnius), Vilnius Music Week Festival (Lithuania), Mental Force Festival (Minsk, with Monolake and Tarik Barri), Tallinn Music Week Festival (Estonia), Live Cinema Festival (Rome, Italy), Underground Independent Festival (Białystok, Poland), CENTRAS International Multimedia Art & Music Festival (Kaunas, Lithuania), LPM IX (Rome, Italy). When it comes to his musical performances, ADB plays strictly live on a hardware sampler groovebox Yamaha RS-7000 – a discontinued workstation that has 64 MB of memory and a built-in synthesis engine. He played a live set at the ‘Analog Techno’ stage of a big 7-dancefloor festival RŪGŠTYNĖS in Vilnius, Lithuania and later on the main stage of a big rave ‘VOSHOD'. His live sets are full of expression and improvisation and can be flexibly adapted to an event/location: he can either make everyone dance with his unique hybrid of bass, juke, techno, house, electro, and footwork, or play light relaxing chillout if needs be. As audio-visual producer, Alexei composes music for short films and shoots commercials. Alexei has shot in Berlin a 45-minute long futuristic techno drama “Laserlove Townsheeps” — a black & white experimental movie in psychogeographic aesthetics, featuring actors from Japan and Australia. Montage of “Laserlove Townsheeps” occurs in real time — which makes it belong to a new genre of “live cinema”. Special for a movie, Alexei has written a techno soundtrack, which is played live. The film was premiered at Live Cinema Festival in Rome, and later in Minsk at Mental Force Festival, an event dedicated to audio-visual art — where among other participants was a well-known German artist and creator of Ableton Live — Robert Henke ‘Monolake’. | |

He worked as a professional actor in film, stage and television before taking up music full-time in 1987, having spent several years as a newspaper and radio journalist on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne. Geoff traveled to the US in 1990, spending three months songwriting in Nashville before heading to London and a series of dates in Europe. He returned to Australia in 1993 to finish work on his first independent CD album, 'The Path', then to Germany for sessions with producer Rolf Wetzel, resulting in the albums 'Wait For Me' and 'No-Man’s Land'. In 1996 he released his fourth album, 'Geoff Healey's Love In A Suit' in Australia before relocating to Germany in 1998. Seven years of touring followed, culminated in the 2005 CD, 'Canvas Of My Memory'. Geoff says his songwriting inspirations are many, and that he tries to not get stuck in just one genre or writing style. “I listen to everything; And If there's a bit of my story in a song, it's only going to be a bit. I'm more inspired by what I see and hear, and who I meet. I love creating a story or a feeling, or setting up an image - and then letting people read their own stuff into it”. Geoff's new album, 'Wherever We Go, There We Are' was released in June 2020. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Reversio | What could the Lithuanian birbynė / reed-pipe (an original Lithuanian woodwind instrument) and Renaissance and Baroque music of Western Europe have in common? The answer lies in this specially composed chamber music ensemble Reversio (founded by Darius Klišys in 2004) which features birbynė players accompanied by organ/harpsichord and viola da gamba. The idea behind the ensemble - to play early European music using authentic Lithuanian instruments - became their mark of originality: the expressive and contrasting sounds of the birbynė are surprisingly similar to early wind instruments such as the cornett, recorder, oboe, and chalumeau. Performing the early music, the birbynė reveals nuances and colours unheard, highlights the flexibility of compositions, and offers a new look at the early music as well as other musical genres, be it classical or contemporary. Musicians of the Reversio ensemble change according to the programmes, from three to seven musicians playing together. The main repertoire of the ensembles covers those written in the 16th and 17th centuries in Lithuanian and Polish territories. There is also a strong focus on early Italian Baroque. | |
| Search | Add | 3 | Negate Life | Negate Life | Negate Life is a hardcore/powerviolence band formed early in 2017 by four kids enraged by the flaws of the neo-liberal society. Drawing on the powerviolence sound forged by band such as Nails, Rotten Sound, Magrudergrind, Weekend Nachos and Sect as well as the Swedish death metal sound, especially the classic “Boss HM2” tone popularized by Entombed, Dismember, Grave and At The Gates, they top it off by adding a bit of Crust Punk and Black metal to the mix resulting in their latest EP, Falsehood, released in 2018. For us, hardcore music is a safe space for everyone who suffers, in any way, of marginalization. |

| Search | Add | 3 | nonE_PT | Nuno Santos | Born and raised in Portugal, since he was young, nonE started using the universe of music as one of his favorite playgrounds. His sister had a huge collection of vinyl records and CD albums, and having access to her music triggered something in him to understand and enjoy music. In his teenager years, he found himself in the universe of rap music and he embraced the urban tribe of hip-hop culture. His world opened to electronic music with “Spastik” from “Plastikman” (aka Sir Richie Hawtin). This was the record that make him want to find out more about electronic music. Since then, djing and music production was just a matter of time. He took his first steps into djing and music production in 2005. After moving to Copenhagen, in 2013, the electronic music universe is still part of his lifestyle. nonE has a special taste for the beauty of melodies and the melancholic shades of inner self emotions attached to techno and house music. Owner and founder of Kohomoop Records, he started to release his own music in 2019. [b]nonE_PT[/b] |

| Search | Add | 3 | Trainwreck Ghost | Trainwreck Ghost aka Trainwreck Ghosts (in the early years) is the project of singer-songwriter, musician and producer Roger Prescott. They were based originally in Los Angeles and later in Austin,Texas. Original members included Eddie Munoz of The Plimsouls, Tim Henderson of The Pop, Robert Williams and Kent Houseman. Trainwreck Ghost played hundreds of shows in both cities as well as touring the USA. They have released three albums and one cassette of original material so far as Trainwreck Ghost. The band also performed acoustically as The Holy Boys, playing a mash-up of Appalachian, Cajun, and Country, often doing left-field covers of songs such as "Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division and "A House Is Not A Motel" by Authur Lee & Love. The Holy Boys released one CD of live performances and studio recordings in 1998. A little more about Trainwreck Ghost: Originally based in Los Angeles and later in Austin Texas. Trainwreck Ghost played constantly in L.A. at Raji's, Club Lingerie, The Central, (now the Viper Room), Al's Bar, The Gaslight, The Anti-Club, Madame Wong's, The Music Machine, Club 88, The Coconut Teaser and many other venues up and down the West Coast. They recorded a number of early tracks at the famous Venice Beach studio Radio Tokyo and on a trusty Teac 4-track deck in a home garage studio dubbed "Piss Bucket" (for it's lack of bathroom facilities.) After moving to Austin they were regulars at The Continental Club, Liberty Lunch, The Hole in the Wall, and The Steamboat among others. They added the late-great bluesman Alex Napier (from early Stevie Ray Vaughn band, The Cobras, and Will and The Kill featuring Will Sexton) on bass guitar soon after the move to Austin. Trainwreck Ghosts recorded an EP, "The Phantom Tapes" and their 1st LP, "The Blood Won't Wash Out" with Aaron White at Austin's 6th Street Studios and rehearsed at the legendary hangout and rehearsal space ARC in South Austin. Members of various line-ups of Trainwreck Ghost were songwriter-guitarist Roger Prescott, guitarist Eddie Munoz (from The Plimsouls), drummer, percussionist & dobro player Robert Williams, bass players Tim Henderson, Jaime Carter and Alex Napier, and guitarist and sometimes bass player Kent Earl Housman. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Leonid Sabaneev | Леонид Леонидович Сабанеев [Leonid Leonidovich Sabaneyev] | Born: 1881-10-01 (Moscow, Russia) Died: June 03, 1968 (Antibes, France) Leonid Sabaneev was a Russian musicologist, music critic, composer and scientist. Leonid Sabaneev [preferable & more common form is 'Sabaneyev'] was a Russian composer, musicologist, music critic & scientist. Son of a prominent naturalist & hunting/fishing expert, he studied mathematics, physics & natural sciences at the Moscow University while additionally attending historical/philological courses. Also, he was able to receive a high-class musical education, with some of the best teachers around (e.g. [a= Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov], among others). By 1920s he became a famous – if rather scandalous & (self-)contradictory - music critic; as well as a music theorist, both highly innovative & inconsistent. A colourful & eccentric person, he was a close friend of [a= Alexander Scriabine] & a good acquaintance of many significant (musical or not) figures of the era, impressions of which relations later finding themselves in print in his highly acclaimed memoirs. However, almost throughout his life, regularly though not exactly prolifically, he has been writing his own music – beginning at the turn of the 20th century & ending (obviously/mostly) somewhere in 1940s. He finished orchestration score for a grandiose oratorio 'The Revelation of St. John' (aka simply 'Apocalypse'), high-demanding & time-devouring on the author's part, in 1940; still, according to reports, he continued working at the opus until his last years. The score is believed to be entombed up to this day in some US archives, unpublished. Yielding to looming shadows of dreadful changes, Sabaneyev left Russia in 1926 & relocated to Paris where he was still engaged in busy & diverse music-related activities (composed/staged a ballet; published a good book on history of Russian music; etc.). Subsequently he dwelled, for limited spells of time, in London & US. During all his time in emigration Sabaneyev never stopped working actively in many authoritative music periodicals; he also wrote music for films. He returned to France, a 'home regained' of Russian emigration, in 1933 where he died in Cap d'Antibes near Nice in October 1st, 1968. Sabaneyev's music – almost inevitably though never too heavily influenced by Scriabin & other late Romantics, was, as a matter of fact, [i]another[/i], divergent, going further & beyond the conventional music conceptions even of those revolutionary times; technically much complex yet unusually brittle in it’s moods, innately bearing some weird ‘romantic’ kind of darkness. It obviously hasn’t struck a chord with his contemporaries, either in Russia or in the West, & has mostly laid in obscurity for many decades, with only some broader-minded &/or rara-avis-catcher performers (like, e.g., [a= Marc-André Hamelin]) trying it out once in a while. In 2012, three daring & already well-experienced musicians has recorded two essential Sabaneyev’s 1920’s piano works - treated with all due care & exactness, rendered with inspirational sincerity, & recorded with top-notch modern quality - in Munich’s BR Studios. Accordingly, a CD (‘Piano Trios’) was issued on GENUIN label which has caused quite a stir & won much acclaim among music connoisseurs’ circles. Three years later a double CD, ‘The Complete Works for Piano Vol. 1’ came from GENUIN, containing a dozen small piano pieces performed by [a= Michael Schäfer (5)], the pianist from the previous recording; it equally & deservedly garnered most positive reviews. Sabaneyev’s one-year elder brother, Boris Sabaneyev ([a= Борис Сабанеев]), who hasn’t survived the Russian Red Revolution, was also a musician: classical organist, organ composer & theorist, and pedagogue. On the 3-figure photo (among those linked to on this page), left to right, are: L. Sabaneyev; A. Scriabin; Tatiana Schloezer (Scriabin's Muse, as also his common-law wife). |

| Search | Add | 3 | Wayne Downey | Wayne R. Downey | Wayne Downey's involvement in music began in 1960 as a third grader in Commack, New York as a trumpet player in the elementary band. A few years later, the local Fire department organized a fife, drum and bugle corps to perform at various civic events and at fireman's parades. Wayne's next-door neighbor (a fireman) persuaded him to march in the corps. After several seasons, Wayne became more attracted to a drum and bugle corps in nearby Smithton, New York, primarily because their horns had a valve and a slide. He marched with the Smithtown Freelancers in 1966, 1967, and 1968. In 1969, his senior year in high school, Wayne marched in the Long Island [a8590293] as one of their soprano soloists. At the same time his father, who was an elementary school principal, interviewed for and accepted a job in California, which required relocation. The family departed during the summer of 1969, leaving Wayne behind to march with the Sunrisers. Wayne planned on finishing out the season with the Sunrisers and taking advantage of a music scholarship offered to him by Florida State University. However, midway through the summer, Wayne decided it was best to join his parents in California. "After all, great weather is great weather no matter which coast you soak it up on." With this in mind, he elicited the help of friends (including Dave Shaw, Editor of Drum Corps Digest) to locate any drum and bugle corps on the West coast. Wayne was informed of a three-year old corps located in Santa Clara, California called the [a473043]. Ironically, his parents had moved just one block away from the home of the Vanguard's corps director, [a4670281]. Wayne marched soprano bugle with Vanguard during the end of the 1969 season, and all of 1970-72. In 1971, Santa Clara's brass instructor [a5983459] left the corps. Jack was replaced as brass instructor by Wayne (one of the soprano soloists in the corps) and [a8735443] (an "age out" from the previous season), led by Gail Royer as music director and arranger. Wayne "aged out" in 1972. During that season, the professional relationship between Wayne and Gail had soured and Wayne was politely "relieved of his responsibilities" as brass instructor at the end of the season. In 1973, Wayne instructed the reigning World Champion [a8838508], and the [a8590005]. He was teaching the Commodores on Tuesday evenings, and then flying down to Los Angeles on Wednesdays to teach the Kingsmen. During the winter months, Wayne drove to LA every weekend to instruct the Kingsmen and finally moved to LA in the summer. After the drum corps season was completed, Wayne moved back to San Francisco to complete his last year of undergraduate work at nearby San Jose State University. Meanwhile, the position for San Jose State's marching band director became available and Wayne interviewed for the job "just for the hell of it". The next day, San Jose State University Band Director and undergraduate student Wayne Downey met his secretary, moved into his office, and prepared for next season. For the next two years Wayne wrote the drill and the music, directed one of the jazz/pep bands, and taught a marching band techniques class. During his first week as band director, Wayne received a telephone call from [a4670283], the director of the Concord [a1063612]. Jerry expressed interest in having Wayne teach the [a1063612]. Wayne reluctantly agreed to help audition of new people for the corps' 1974 season. "There was this for incredible magnetic energy that drew me into the organization" says Wayne of his first visit to Concord. At that time, [a8892724] was the brass instructor and arranger for the [a1063612]. Wayne and Jim were already good friends from their times together instructing the Commodores and marching in the Vanguard. Ultimately, Wayne decided to take the job as brass instructor with the [a1063612]. In 1974, the [a1063612] improved their placement at [l153566] (DCI) Nationals from 24th to 9th place. The next year, from 9th to 3rd, and the corps took their first DCI Title in 1976, the quickest three year ascent in DCI history. Wayne was now twenty-five years old. After graduating from [l277506] with a degree in secondary music education, Wayne opted to work full-time for gal the Concord [a1063612] and has been there ever since. Today, Wayne Downey has reached "icon" status in the drum corps community. He has enriched drum corps and high school and college marching bands throughout the world with his instructional techniques and carefully crafted musical arrangements. He continues to arrange, adjudicate, and instruct, and he still somehow manages to make time to consult and conduct clinics for Yamaha Music Corporation of America. |
