Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Mary Kawena Pukui and David Bray were her teachers, and she continued to do research on anything and everything that had to do with Hawaiiana history and legends. She and her husband also run a club called the Luau Garden, where she helped organize performances not only for visiting musicians but also brought herself into the shows as well. They were not only a means of entertainment but meant to be an educational tool, something unique to the island of Kaua'i. She died at the age of 92 on February 25, 2004. |

Search | Add | 2 | BlackBush Orchestra | Musical project initiated by Atemi. This DJ without borders has been an avid digger and record collector for the last 15 years. After being nourished by other people's music, the desire to produce his own music sprung quite naturally along the way. At the heart of his project is to let the music come alive and evolve out of the meeting of musicians with different styles and backgrounds. The plurality of these universes offers the promises of a music which is rich, open, and free from any codes or genre.

Search | Add | 2 | Maxine Vegas | Sergio Borromei | Sergio Borromei a.k.a. Maxine Vegas, originally from Bahia Blanca, is one of the up and coming dance music producers in the very much new techno-house scene in Buenos Aires (Argentina). And this is how it all began: When he was a mere seven years old, while listening to his fathers Beatles albums, comes to the realization that music was to become a very important part of his life. After many years of studying classic guitar at the music conservatory of his natal city, decides to venture and buy his very first electric guitar, this led to him to start playing and singing in several rocks bands, with a ranging a variety of styles. He later moved to Buenos Aires, to further his involvement in the music world, dedicating much of his time to study music production particularly that of rock, while keeping his day job as an IT consultant since he is a keen computers man. He then decides to merge this latter passion with his first love: technology and the art of blending sounds. This is the time when he becomes acquainted with Waltie whom soon becomes a great friend to him, and together take on the task of putting together project “Hawaii” alongside Lega a.k.a. Plastique Vision. After a couple of releases under this name (like “Pure” for Hernán Cattaneo’s – “Reannaisance”, or “Closed Spaces I & II” for Red Flag Collective label), he started to experiment the art of live-playing, blending minimal-sounds and tecno-loops of his own creations with taylor-made edits of tracks from other artists; all in real time. Maxine Vegas, name inspired by the movie “Being John Malkovich”, a story of alter-egos, very much resembles the double life led by Maxeen and Sergio. |

Search | Add | 2 | Fuck Your Birthday | [a6546567] is an American garage rock / math rock band born in Morgantown, WV, and currently based out of New York City and Wenzhou, China. Formed in 2012, vocalist/guitarist [a7535441] (an ESL teacher in Wenzhou) and drummer [a6546568] (a NYC-based photographer) have maintained a prolific stream of DIY releases and touring activity, despite their frequent time apart (12 time zones apart to be precise). After a brief stint as a trio with bassist/vocalist Michelle Fincham, who is featured on the January 2014 EP The Cymbal Barks Louder Than You, [a6546567] forged ahead as a duo, embarking on their Jet-lag Revival Tour followed by the Li EP in October 2014 (recorded, mixed, and mastered by [a4620178] of Akron, Ohio’s [a6554685]). June 2015 saw the release of the Future Teller EP, at which point the band began working on material for a full-length record. Crafted over frequent Megabus treks between New York and Morgantown, [a6546567]’s debut LP, Touchless Automatic, was released in April 2016. Touring was not possible at this time as Christopher had recently graduated and accepted a job as an ESL teacher in Wenzhou, China. The following year, in April of 2017, Roman travelled to Wenzhou for [a6546567]’s first international tour. Spring Roll 2017 spanned two weeks and 8 cities in southern China (Wenzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Changsha, Nanchang, Xuzhou, Shanghai – watch “Live in Shanghai” via the FYB YouTube channel). In October 2017, Roman returned to Wenzhou to play more shows and work on new material. A selection of these sessions will be released as [r=12156753] on [l545739], available June 8, 2018, in a limited edition 6-panel Digipak CD format and at digital retailers worldwide.

Search | Add | 2 | Pluton - the Dark Mystic | Jens-Peter "JP" Kadelka | Pluton, also known as Pluto / Plutos, is the roman god of the underworld and the name giver for live act & dj "Pluton -the Dark Mystic". Techno, especially the more deep & dark versions, in combination with Minimal, TechHouse and Deep House are the favoured musical genres of "Pluton - the Dark Mystic", accompanied by partly self created mystical sounds and effects. So the "God of the Underworld" musically arrived in modern times - that´s the main statement of the sets, gigs & show of "Pluton - the Dark Mystic". The artist has musical experiences as a known dj inside the psytrance scene since 1999. Since 2015 he creates club sounds due to his ideas of rough and a little harsh songs of the past years ... with that decision he returned to an "old love" called Techno. During his real-time track manipulation gigs (one can also say "live remix sets") of up to a maximum of 6 hours (!) PLUTON uses NI Traktor 2 Pro with all four decks and effects, Ableton live, NI Maschine plus different effects and hardware synths & grooveboxes. |

Search | Add | 2 | The Buzniks | The Buzniks are a 4 piece band fronted by Squeeze Bassman John Bentley ... Living in Hull a 16 year old John took over the HP payments on a Fender Strat belonging to Mick Ronson, and used it in his first ever band FLESH. The groups Bass Player Trevor Bolder went on join the Spiders from Mars. During the 70’s John founded the Fabulous Poodles, and did stints with Quintessence & the Nashville Teens. He backed influential mime artist Lindsey Kemp in a stage show. In 1978 John toured the UK supporting the Ramones with Snips and the Video Kings. Then on a crazy day in February 1979 John auditioned for Suzie Quatro and for Squeeze. The next day he got offered both jobs. “I decided to go with Squeeze, but I often wonder what might’ve happened if I’d driven off in a Quatro?” Two weeks after joining Squeeze John was appearing on Top of the Pops as their record Cool for Cats shot into the top ten. He went on to record many classic tracks including: Tempted, Pulling Muscles, Black Coffee in Bed & Labeled with Love. He has played all over the globe at Festivals and Venues including: Glastonbury, Coachella, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall (backed by an Orchestra). John has made countless appearances on TV shows including: The Old Grey Whistle Test, Saturday Night Live, American Bandstand, and the Ellen Degeneres Show During a long and dangerous career John has worked alongside many amazing musicians including: Elvis Costello, Sting, Paul Carrack, and Keith Emerson. John famously sang Backing Vocals and played Bass for country legend Garth Brooks, and he appeared with his old pal Jools Holland on the Tube. Recently John recorded the theme tune to the BBC2 series From the Cradle starring Peter Kay, and toured Japan with Squeeze. the Buzniks have a recording contract with 3MS Music. John Bentley - Guitar & Vocals Frankie Dann - Drums & Vocals Alan Betts - Bass & Vocals Brian Hartley - Guitar, Harmonica, Slide Guitar & Vocals

Search | Add | 2 | Neptune Rain | Formed just prior to the pandemic and based in Cheltenham, England, NEPTUNE RAIN were initially conceived by Kieran Ayres (vocals), Simon Oxenham (guitar) and Rob Knight (bass) all sharing a strong mutual affection for both noughties nu-metal and unified values of hope, kindness and mental health awareness. Drawing their moniker from the theory that diamonds can fall as rain on Neptune, the band see this as a metaphor for how hope can emerge, even in the darkest of times.

Search | Add | 2 | Warriors In The Fog | The Warriors In The Fog are an Italian band singing in English. The band started in Val Venosta (BZ) 'Trentino Alto-Adige' (Italy), where it made a fair success with a single called 'She is Susy - Across the water' in the early 90s. 'She is Susy' is the song on the side A of the vinyl 45 rpm, while the side B song is entitled 'Across the water'. The Warriors In The Fog recorded their first single at the “Infernal Recording Studio” in Mira (Venice) from December 1989 to January 1990. It was self-produced, published and distributed by the band in 'Veneto' and 'Trentino-Alto Adige' regions in summer 1990. In 1990, and for a few years on, some radios played the record in Val Venosta (BZ) and several clubs in this area listened to and enjoyed the song. 'She is Susy' is considered a unique and very danceable song. The particular genre of music created by the band is considered 'Funky-New Wave'. Later the song made a fair success in almost all the clubs in the region of 'Trentino-Alto Adige' and in some clubs in the region of 'Veneto'. The Warriors In The Fog played live from 1991 to 1992, in some places in 'Trentino-Alto Adige' and 'Veneto', even under a different name, proposing and interpreting famous 'covers'. In performances, the band played dance music for all tastes; during the live performance of the band, the guitarist played the guitar with his mouth or behind his back.

Search | Add | 2 | Tom Dyer's New Pagan Gods | Tom Dyer is a Pacific Northwest fellow, a rather noisy one. For his 9th release in the last six years, he embraces the NW cannon of his youth – works by The Sonics, The Wailers, Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Ventures, The Fleetwoods, Merrilee Rush, as well as many lesser known gems from the 1957-68 period, when Northwest bands could deliver radio hits on the teen beacon KJR. To execute this difficult task, a relentless and raucous band of Green Monkey stars was assembled - Scott Sutherland and Scott Vanderpool from King County Queens on lead guitar and drums, Joe Ross and Jeff Kelly of the Green Pajamas on bass and the organ. Producer Steve Fisk was brought in to Green Monkey HQ to track the unholy racket. There was no attempt to duplicate the originals; we knew those could not be topped. The plan was simple. Play these songs with élan, with love and verve, with reverence (but not too much). Be true to the mountain-fresh spirit. We do hope you enjoy listening to this revisionist Northwest history as much (and as loudly) as we enjoyed making it.
