Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | DJ Balen | DJ BALEN | Spanish DJ. He was one of the resident DJs of the Sala [l1513413]. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Crab Society North | The Crab Society was originally Craig Setari and Danny Lilker. It was just supposed to be extreme sounding, and they recorded it on a cheap tape deck with way too much input level so it sounded really distorted. It was called "Noise For Noise's Sake." Danny brought it to the S.O.D. recording session, the guys loved it and wanted to record some more like that, although Craig wasn't there. It was recorded in the lounge of Pyramid Sound with a similar recording technique and was called The Crab Society North 'cos it was done upstate compared to the original that Craig and Dan did in NYC."... "It was never officially released and it's supposed to sound like that." | |

They formed in 2001 and would release their first known material in 2003- a demo which contains early versions of songs that would appear in later releases, namely Reverse Flowing Blood and The 23rd Colour. It seems like 2006 was the end of the road for swAke. They scheduled another release for September of that year, but it is unknown if they actually did end up releasing the CD. The last time the band was heard from online was May 2006, on their blog page at the now defunct skyrock.com. They said they were almost done recording the release, and after that they abruptly stopped posting. It is unclear why the band split up.

| Search | Add | 2 | Sands Pleine | Sands Pleine is a topological band. The two founders of Cairn Desk Composition Front occasionally come together to perform as Sands Pleine. The stand-in/fictional identity Sands Pleine is target/proxy for automatic, irrational compositional decision making. Performance environments have included: Clarinet / feedbackloop / guitar / subwoofer, separately thrucomposed production pieces, text-to-speech beatbox through timbral modulation, granular sampling of entire hi-def pop compositions, dub-systems with MC, stacking of prepackaged sample-libraries... always with a keen sensitivity toward sporadic, un-trustworthy content sources, and a generally hands-off attitude. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Laboratorio de Interpretación Musical | Laboratorio de Interpretación Musical | The LIM (Laboratory of Musical Interpretation) was created in November 1975 with the firm purpose of going to greater depth in the study and performance of contemporary music. Since the debut of its founder members (Esperanza Abad, Rafael Gómez Senosiain and Jesús Villa-Rojo) in Madrid before the public and the media, it has continually been improving its cultural work, whether in its concert, research or educational facets. As an organiser of established concert series, it is the oldest in Madrid, uninterrupted since that date in Bilbao (Festival de Música del siglo XX), Barcelona or Pamplona, among other extraordinary events; whether within our frontiers (with a regular presence in the International Festivals of Santander and Granada, the Quincena Musical Donostiarra, Salamanca, Sevilla, Málaga...), or beyond them, with frequent performance tours in festivals all over Europe (among others, Italy, France, Russia, Hungary…) and Latin America (especially Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico and Brazil). Its capacity to adapt to the ensembles demanded for contemporary chamber music under conditions of an optimum performance quality (Premio Nacional del Disco), have conferred it marked singularity for each one of its public performances. A formal singularity which has ranged from the musical ensemble of its first series, to the innovating clarinet quintet, collaborations with plastic or video artists, electro-acoustic music, soloists or regular chamber ensembles. The production of records (recordings for the following labels: RCA, CBS, Dial, Movieplay, RTVE, SGAE, LIM-BBK, besides the creation of its own label, LIM RECORDS) and books like LIM 75-85, LIM 85-95 and Lim2mil (A synthesis of contemporary music in Spain) have completed this determination to disseminate music. The natural pioneering characteristic of avant-garde music has brought about the obligation of presenting a few hundred premieres, debuts in Spain and abroad, of numerous scores, that in many cases, the authors wrote especially for this group. His dad worked for a US Army munitions plant that was a 6-hour drive away, but performed on nights and weekends with his Country/Western band, Ken Short and the Drifters. “My Daddy made sure to call it Country AND Western,” Marvin said. As Marvin’s singing talent became more obvious, his dad put Marvin on the stage and let him front the band more and more. By the time Marvin was 10 years old, his dad got him gigs on morning TV shows in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and introduced him to the recording studio where he cut his first track on a record. At the age of 12, he won several honors including “Under 16 Male Vocalist Award” and the “Under 16 Male Instrumentalist” from the Oklahoma Opry Association. These days, he’s rockin’ and rollin’ with six of Sedona’s most talented musicians, 5 nights a week, in his own ‘Rock N Roll Dreams’ show at the Encore Theater Sedona. | |

In 2008, during the downtime in recording, guitarist/vocalist Tyson Wiebe and long-time friend/bassist/producer Quinton Viskup decided to record a few of Tyson's songs. That project eventually became Planet Telex; and their debut album, Nova. After a few false starts, Planet Telex finally found a steady line-up with the incorporation of guitarist Eric Amundsen and drummer Mickey Hayward. Planet Telex will be releasing their new EP, Wednesday, in summer of 2012. A new full length album is expected in 2013. So, essentially, a bunch of dudes made some tunes, played some shows and continued to do so. Could have saved yourself some time.

| Search | Add | 2 | Celestial Oeuvre | CELESTIAL OEUVRE were formed in New York City in 2004 by vocalist Joe Acaba and keyboard player Jose Damien, who sadly passed away on 19th July 2007. However the roots of the band can be traced back as far as the seventies when the two musicians played together in a band called DEMIAN, though no recordings were released. In 2005 their debut album "Second Chance" was released with drummer Hector Lopez and guitarist Joe Nardulli completing the line-up. Musically the band describes themselves as neo-classical progressive rock in the old tradition with a modern edge and are largely influenced by seventies prog giants such as YES, ELP, KING CRIMSON, JETHRO TULL, GENTLE GIANT AND DEEP PURPLE with YES being a particularly strong influence. A second album "This Mortal Coil" was released in 2009 though with the passing of Jose Damien the future of the band would seem in doubt. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Nego Blue Da Ilha | José Luís Rodrigues | Brazilian singer and songwriter, born in Curitiba, Paraná. He told his mother that he was going to spend the weekend on the coast with friends and that he would be back on Monday. It stayed a year. "I felt like Robinson Crusoe himself. I saw all that bush and I went crazy. This is where I belong, I thought." To ease her mother's suffering, Blue sent letters. He just wasn't sure how to fill in the return address. After all, he slept where he could. One of the favorite stops was the abandoned Navy post, next to the lighthouse. "It was a nice shack. It just leaned to the side. It was kind of a Batman cave." One day, Blue returned to the mainland to go shopping and found her mother at the warehouse in Pontal. She had notified the police and the judge, and she was already getting on the boat to go after her son. Blue returned to the capital. He studied until the seventh grade and started to make the Curitiba-Ilha script frequently. He became friends with fishermen and residents, left the Navy post and started sleeping at the house of acquaintances. Grandmother Maria, one of those who most assured landing, got music, played until today. The first stops were in Brasília. Enchanted, at the time, was a mystery. "It was a jungle. It was hard to get there." One day, Blue decided to take a chance. He walked for almost three hours and discovered that in Encantadas there were also fishermen. He liked it, and as usual, stayed for several months. Music became more frequent on the grotto side than on the lighthouse side. The people from Brasília demanded Nego, after all, had stopped there first and couldn't just change sides. With diplomacy and a full agenda, the issue was overcome. "I currently do shows on both sides. I'm not from Brasília or Encantadas. I'm Nego from Ilha do Mel." The singer, who is popular today, lived his early days away from maternal protection, giving guitar lessons, doing occasional fishing and "any kind of work that came up". On the mainland he had so many jobs he doesn't even remember. "I've been a mechanic, a store salesman, a tire repairman. A lot of bad jobs." In the meantime, Blue was already doing small shows on the island and on the coast. He didn't let go of the guitar. He practiced grips and strokes. One day, he spent the afternoon playing on the rocks of Praia Brava de Matinhos. He gathered a lot of people to see it. Blue made a sequel worthy of Muddy Waters (musician considered the father of the Chicago Blues). That's when Polaco, an experienced guitarist from Curitiba's nightlife, released the phrase. "It's a Nego Blue." Ready. The nickname stuck. He was taken to Curitiba. He performed at the old Tetro Universitário in Curitiba and also made friends, among them the rockers Blindagem. "They supported my first album", says he, who has already recorded two CDs. He even sang in Pará, where he played for months in exchange for bed and food. Blue only got more homely when he got married. The woman in his life, who would he say, was next to his mother's house. "I would come home from the party and always find that beautiful brunette leaving for work." In fact married. He has five children and lives only on music. He lives in Curitiba, but spends the season in Ilha do Mel, playing from Monday to Monday. He has among his admirers members of bands like Djambi and Capital Inicial. Flávio, bassist for Capital, was following Nego's performance in a bar in Vila Brasília, two weeks ago. "We always make a sound. But it never works. We end up just drinking," says Nego Blue, the pop star from Ilha do Mel. | Search | Add | 2 | Boileroom Productions | Marcus "Direct" Mickens & Arun "AJ" Ranganathan | Boilerroom Productions also spelled Boiler Room Productions was a two man Hip hop production/DJ company in Middletown, Connecticut (late 80's - mid 90's). The members were Marcus "Direct" Mickens & Arun "AJ" Ranganathan who decided to join forces and form Boiler Room Productions in the late 80's. The group made sample based beats using the EMU SP-1200 & Akai X7000 Sampling Keyboard. The duo went on to produce several records for many local Artists. Some got signed to major labels and others released their music independently. Boiler Room productions had a long list of artists that never got signed but made several unreleased and unheard demos of classic 90's Hip Hop. Both Direct and AJ were Hip Hop DJ's and like many 80's & 90's producers they scratched and mixed records both in their production and at CT parties they would throw to support their endeavors. The production group eventually dissolved in the mid 90's. Boiler Room Productions was featured or contributed work either partially or entirely on the following commercial and independently released records as either Producers, Co-Producers, lyric & music writers and/or Dj (cuts).
