Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Uppsala Dragspelsklubb | UPPSALA ACCORDION CLUB from the city of Uppsala, Sweden, is called "Uppdraget". The name is a play on words: "Upp" comes from Uppsala, while "drag" is the first part of "dragspel", the Swedish word for accordion. - The club was founded in 1984. It has about 50 members, of which 20 or so are active amateur musicians, most of them accordionists although other instruments are also represented, such as violin, "nyckelharpa" (keyed fiddle), a few wind and brass instruments, base, guitar and drums. The club has a varied repertory: dance music, both traditional Swedish and modern, arrangements of popular tunes, folk music, light classical tunes and church music. The ambition is to be known not just as an accordion club, but as an accordion orchestra with a broad repertory that can be adapted to performances in shopping centers, hospitals, old peoples' homes and churches, as well as function at village dances, dance evenings arranged by folk dance groups and so forth. The club organizes "accordion meets", and get-togethers with other clubs, and during the last few years music cafés with guest artists and audience sing-along participation have become quite popular. Uppdraget has made several tours abroad: to the Nordic countries, Estonia, St. Petersburg, Austria, China, and twice to the USA (1995 and 2000). | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Rev. Benn Schipper | Reverend Benn Schipper got his new identity in 2003 by the witness-protection program of the federal buero of privatelektro Deutschland. His career as musician started in 1987 with a musical project called “The Wendish Childrens Of Lucifers Wife” Peace. In 1988 he joined the east-german punk-band “Raving Madness” - after the split he founded in 1989 the straight left and political oriented band “Nachkriegsjugend” - with Tom Gruschwitz (voc) and Olaf Dettinger (g). In late 1989 he started from scratch with the pure experimental band “M”. “M” transformed into a bass-guitar band (3 basses and a drum (computer)) influenced by Velvet Underground, Dinosaur. Jr. and Spacemen 3 and split in summer 1991 after hours of tape recordings and live performances. After this the Reverend founded with the former singer of “Nachkriegsjugend” the band “Riefenstahl”. “Riefenstahl did three releases “Lufthansa”, “Wieland Förster Lieder” and “Riefenstahl III” and extended their activites to an artist group who produced a series of short films, video-installations and books. The 4th release, of a number of “Vogelweide” songs, was never published (two titles appeared as remix in 2006 on Reverend Benn Schippers privatelektro “Pnet 006” release “[album]Dance Music For Shitheads With The YY-Chromosome[/album]”). Schipper joined in 1993 the berlin based “Column One” for some live performances, releases and artworks (“Vis Spei” with Genesis P-Orridge, “The Excellent Listeners” and the soundtrack “Der Unterstand”). In 1995 he renamed “Riefenstahl” into “Call Ov Stihl”. Under a new name he started in 1995 with german media-artist and Privatelektro label-mate “Igor Hax” the band “” - after the split Schipper focused only on media arts and produced in 1997 with Tilman Schmidt the piece “Dust Bin” for the international awarded multi-media CD-ROM “Dust-D-Bugger”. will be continued… | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Kryzalid | Kryzalid are a young band from Northern France that released with Second Life a respectable debut album, even if the title makes you think that this should be already their album number two. Kryzalid call their music melodic thrash metal, and they are clearly influenced by late-Eighties power stuff like Megadeth and Annihilator, whose Alison Hell they cover to end the album. And that's where their main problem lies: they just don't have the song writing skills yet to make their songs memorable. The raw production, the harsh screamed vocals and the melodic guitar sound make for a nostalgic trip into heavy metal's glorious past, but the longer the album runs, the harder it gets to pay attention to details. Second Life is full of great riffs and sounds very authentic, what's lacking are just the ideas that keep you hooked. With a running time of one hour, you may wonder if this wouldn't have been a better album if it had been more compact? Second Life is by no means a bad album, even above average, it's just a pity that such a talented band doesn't have the routine yet to come over with better songs. If they keep working hard, I bet that there is more than just a small future lying ahead for Kryzalid. Old school thrashers may want to risk an ear. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Sevdah Takht | After a successful solo project and a Trio of his own, Bosnian Sevdah musician Damir Imamović (b. 1978, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina) makes a new turn with his new band named: Damir Imamović Sevdah Takht. “Takht” used to be a name for small, chamber groups which travelled throughout the Mediterenean and played traditional music of the region. The word “takht” is of a Persian origin and denotes a “stage”, “throne”, “plank” and similar. In Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian it was preserved idiomatically as “tahta” which denotes a “plank”, “tahtali” which means “flat” and associates a so-called “flat song/singing” – one of the most important origins of the today’s Sevdah music genre. Damir Imamović Sevdah Takht calls upon a tradition of bands that cross the borders of actual genres and learn from different traditions. After two very successful CDs with his own Damir Imamović Trio and a couple of CDs solo, with this new band Imamović steps in a direction of understanding sevdah as a genre based on a continuous learning and research. Alongside Imamović, Sevdah Takht are: Nenad Kovačić (b. 1982, Zagreb, Croatia) – A percussionist and a rhythm student with big experience of working on rhythms from the Balkans. In Zagreb he runs a school of African rhythms which he founded after studying with some of the greatest living masters of the craft from Western Africa. He writes for theatre and film and is a regular member of bands such as Afion, Antenat, Naš mali Afro Band. Ivan Mihajlović (b. 1980, Kladovo, Serbia) – One of the most interesting young bass players and authors in the music scene of Belgrade. Regularly plays in bands such as Naked, SviNaPod, Menson Benson, Plava kuća. He spent some time learning in the USA. He writes music for film and theatre. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Hari Sima | Paco León | Electronic ambient from Valencia.Spain Steering away through an independent countercurrent from the most pompous and overtly atmospheric alumni of the Berlin School, and the far out yoga classes from New Age, but still very psych militant, we get the concise and thorough sound of “Fluido Tiempo”. Through sort-of-short tracks we unveil possible references such as JD Emmanuel or Amoon Düül taken to realms such as urban commuter trance or empty city vagabondage. Subterranean electronic synthesizer music is well known for its penchant for the loner, the living room wanderer and the night tripper but it has rarely seen a proposal this emotional. Deeply imbedded in the fertile in radical ideas Cassette Culture, Sima figures out sounds to communicate human emotions such as melancholy, uncertainty, absence or loss. This first reference by Paco León’s solo alias -he usually practices kosmische gymnastics with his band Güiro meets Russia- is a very nice surprise that will delight Cortini or Fitoussi fans. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Celtic Pixie | The band borns from the idea of recreating the typical pub atmosphere, offering songs from celtic areas (Ireland, Brittany, Scotland, etc.) performed in acoustic to best preserve the sounds of folk ballads. In recent years the band has taken part in numerous events, including "Paesi aperti", "Friuli DOC", "Incontriamoci a Pordenone", "Folkest", "St. Patrick's Day" and has performed in many pubs. The band also participated in literary presentations (Mauro Corona, Paolo Rumiz, Mauro "Lampo" Olivotto), theater (Papu) and other cultural events. It has offered his musical contribution by collaborating with local and international charity organizations (Emergency, VIP Claunando, ADMO). The choice of the name refers to the type of music (celtic) matched with a mischievous sprite of Devon. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Greenmantle | Greenmantle was formed in September 1971, initially as a three piece with Ian Campbell, Billy Campbell & Jack Law. They brought together their background in rock music, blues and folk to create a distinctive blend. Whilst Ian left in 1972, due to ill health, Billy and Jack carried on as a two piece carving out a reputation as singer/songwriters across Britain. In 1973 they signed a management deal with Johnnie Morris, who secured a recording contract with Philips records. By 1974 they released a single, a Rupert Holmes song called ‘Terminal’. However, Billy and Jack felt the production didn't represent their sound. After recruiting two additional members, Allan Stevenson on drums, and Peter McBrearty on guitar, they felt more satisfied with the new sound. The new line prompted other changes as they moved away from folk clubs and concert halls into the rock-pub and club circuit. Allan was replaced by John Houston in 1975 on drums, and the band carried on writing, recording and playing. A year later, Jack decided to leave, having become disillusioned with the music business, and was replaced by Mick Tausney. Greenmantle continued for a further six months before breaking up. Reformed early 2009, releasing a couple of albums on the Hub Records label. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Vortex Surfer | Noise drone stonerrock psychedelic rock An explosive Dutch noise rock quartet with an affinity for melodic, yet loud, noisy guitar sounds. Vortex Surfer was formed in 2007 around the talents of the brothers Loek Engelen (lead guitar, vocals), Marco Engelen (drums), and friend Bram Stollman (bass). In 2018 they were joined by Michel Epe (guitar, vocals), forming the band’s current line-up. The self-described "loud noise" quartet, who cite bands like Motorpsycho, Sonic Youth, and Elder as their most influential inspirations, started generating regional buzz in 2017 with the release of their infectious first Album "Skypusher", going on to participate in the finals of the prestigious “Nu of Nooit” contest in 2017. Having spent most of 2018 touring and playing shows in both the Netherlands and Germany, the band has been hard at work writing and recording their latest EP, scheduled to be released in mid-2019. The creation of “Versailles” has been a process of self-development and maturation of the sound of the band, who describe the recording session of the EP as putting themselves out there, getting out of their comfort zone and trying to catch a glimpse of the power of their live performances on record. Having refined their razor-sharp sound over the past few years, the new music can be described as full-bodied, almost dream-like noise that can carry you one second, and sweep you off your feet the next. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Werbeniuk | Werbeniuk are a band from Teesside in the North-East of England. Not easily pigeon-holed, their "Teesside World Music" combines percussion, electronics and catchy vocals with a political conscience and a strong sense of fun. Formed in March 2010, as a three-piece comprising [a1457477], [a1471096] and [a3876883], the line-up soon expanded when [a1471095] and [a3876884] joined. Gigging regularly since June 2011, the band released their first CD [r=5802778] in December 2012. Simon left the band to pursue other interests in the summer of 2013, so Martin Cass stepped in, and they carried on regardless. Martin quit in April 2016, and Tim Oxnard joined in the following October. The band are a well-established part of the Teesside music scene. Their instrument-swapping and the general on-stage chaos has arguably made them the region's premier Health & Safety risk, but certainly one of the best and most original live acts around. Michael, Tim, Gary, Jimmy and Andy (in no particular order) all sing and play (in no particular order): guitar, bass guitar, melodica, percussion, sampler, synthesizer, walkingstick bass, linen-basket drums, electronic drums. Simon and Martin used to do the same. | |

Member of [a=The Balloons (3)], Sky Harbor Band, The Bandits, Tykes, [a=Larry Lynne Group], his son's group, the Brandon James Band, Rebecca and the Grey Notes, Brennan Totten Band, Smooth Blues, and The Andy Gelles Trio. Tyler began playing guitar at age 11, by the time he was 14 he had his first real guitar and amp. It was a 1965 Telecaster and 65 Deluxe Reverb. His oldest brother Tom, who was in the Air Force at the time, sent the money home for it. But, he really got serious when he was practicing with a drummer. The drummer’s father came home from work and said “Pack up the gear”. He took them us to his favorite bar, they played about two hours and made about $40 in tips. He was hooked! His first band was the Tykes which morphed into The Larry Lynne Group. Brandon who is his son had recorded some of the songs Tyler had written. RCA Nashville heard them, became interested and flew them both down to Nashville. The Brandon James Band continued for about 7-8 years and got away from country and more into southern and classic rock. Tyler performs regularly with daughter Rebecca Famularo of Rebecca and the Grey Notes

| Search | Add | 3 | Inger Grudin-Brandt | Swedish harpsichordist, clavichordist and forte-pianist, born August 27, 1934, Stockholm, Sweden, died May 12, 2019. She belonged to the first batch of students at Stockholm's singing classes (now Adolf Fredrik's music classes) and she took piano lessons for Hilda Waldeland, among others. At the age of 14, the career choice was clear: she would become a pianist. After matriculation, she therefore began studying with Hans Leygraf in Darmstadt, but found after two years that her hands were not good enough for the large piano repertoire. A friend suggested that she study the harpsichord with Fritz Neumeyer in Freiburg instead. Neumeyer was one of the leading experts of his time in what is today called style-informed conducting practice and had a collection of playable older piano instruments in his home. He was also a warm advocate of the low-pitched but expressive clavichord. She stayed for four years. She was now firmly rooted in Germany, had started a family and made a living as a musician, but after a divorce she chose in 1970 to move back to Sweden together with her son Jens. Now begins what will become Inger's life's work: arousing interest in the historic piano instruments. She gets a driver's license and travels around the country in a Toyota bus loaded with harpsichords, clavichords and harpsichords, she gives concerts and organizes courses. Through her contacts with instrument manufacturers in Germany and the USA, she becomes a Swedish retailer of piano instruments and building kits for such. She records several discs, i.a. for the company BIS and is heard regularly on Sveriges Radio. By forming the association Svenska Klaverets Vänner, she realizes one of her artistic ideas: to let professionals and amateurs play for each other and socialize in pleasant ways. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Cavalo Vapor | A Brazilian Hard Rock band that is worth knowing. Cavalo Vapor was born in the Pompéia district, a traditional rock neighborhood in the city of São Paulo, where renowned bands such as Os Mutantes and Rita Lee's first projects emerged. Founded by the brothers Luiz and Oscar Sacoman. In the year of 1997 the band released the CD "Greatest Little Hits" produced by Paulo Zinner (Coup d'Etat, ex-Rita Lee). During the recordings came some special appearances as the singer Sylvinha Araújo, Andria and Ivan Busic (Dr Sin) in the backing vocals and the super special participation of Ian Gillan, lead singer of Deep Purple, in an incredible harmonica solo in the introduction of the blues " Before Only ". One of the characteristics of the band is the lyrics of the songs, all in Portuguese. The first vocalist of the band was the great Nando Fernandes, who was known for his performances in the Raul Gil show, where he competed in a kind of freshman show. And also for being part of the band Hangar, where he recorded an album (The Reason Of Your Conviction), by the way, the best of the band, but ended up leaving for personal reasons. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Enrique Casanova | Enrique Valentín Casanovas | canta-autor y escritor paraguayo. |
