Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | STUCKONCEILING | STUCKONCEILING (official capitalization) is an experimental hardcore/grindcore band from Wolin, Szczecin, Poland. Formed in 1990 as a crust/punk/hardcore band, alter became experimental improvisational band since 1997. Some of other releases: 1998 - ? [EP] 1999 - Na Horyzoncie Rwert [CD] 2000 - Multiflakopulo [EP] 2001 - X-Perwert [EP] Last lineup: Robert Piotrowicz - guitar (1990-), vocals (1990-?) Anna Zaradny - saxophone (1997-), bass (1997-1998) Jacek Majewski - drums (2000-) Former members: Wojtek - guitar (?-1994) Igor - bass (?-1994), guitar (1994-?) Krzysiek - drums (?-1994) Helena - bass (1994-1997) Kacper Jaśkiewicz - drums, percussion (1994-2000) Sebastian Krawczuk - bass (1997-1999) The no longer existing band hc / crust from Wolin near Szczecin was founded in 1990. Earlier project by musicians from the band Bomba W Torcie. Line-up: Robert Piotrowicz - g, voc; Wojtek - g; Igor - b; Krzysiek - dr. In 1994, the Enigmatic publishing house released their debut material on the "Intro-Wersja" cassette. The changed line-up: Robert - g, voc; Igor - g; Helena - b; Kacper Jaśkiewicz - dr; on April 13-14, 1995 in the studio of Marcin Pawlik in Szczecin they are recording material for the EP entitled "W Próżni". In the next year their next album was released, "Wahadła Godzin". In 1997, the song Przed Many Years, can be heard on the compilation "Punx Not Kret!". Anna Zaradny - sax (who also played in the Włochaty band) played with them. Robert and Anna run the Musica Genera publishing house. Robert, Anna and Kacper together create a new project called Gastrula. At the end of the 90s, Anna Zaradny joined on the saxophone and bass guitar (EP'98). In the years 2000-2002, the band Stuckonceiling in the line-up of Majewski / Piotrowicz / Zaradny performed extensively, played at the Audio Art festival in Krakow, Jazz in E, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and also played abroad, incl. in New York (Knitting Factory, CBGB, ABC No Rio), Chicago (Empty Bottle), Philadelphia. The band has been in existence since 1990 and has passed through a lot of changes in it's music and personal dimensions. Since the beginning, the band has been involved with the alternative scene. It released many recordings (generally tapes) in that time, that are only historical for now (ex. "Wahadla Godzin" MC). Since 1997 the band has noted big changes in it's music. Experiment with form, intensification of it's own language and resign of affiliation to a variety. In '98 and '99 new recording sessions took place. The change of music meant a change of crew - from quintet to quartet. In September '99 it released - "Na Horyzoncie Rwert" CD. This material is a deconstruction of the band's characteristic, hermetic, disharmony, rock form and disclosures inclination to the experimental and improvised music. After this experience, comes time for revising the identity. References to the traditional varieties have been renounced. Unexpectedly, one of the members - Sebastian Krawczuk (bass) is leaving the motherland. The band has been working with different musicians and has finally turned into a trio (alt sax, git, dr). Occasionally, guest musicians are appearing with the band (recording sessions, workshop, concerts with Hasse Poulsen, Peter Friis Nielsen, Christer Irgens-Moller, Kumi Wakao - new CD of trio Wakao/Zaradny/Piotrowicz was released). New compositions are characterized by open form, decided way of creation and strict esthetic. European, contemporary, experimental and improvised music associate within the musical regions that STUCKONCEILING is frequenting. Owing to developing contacts with many European musicians, the trio are climbing up from level to level of initiation. The crew are playing many concerts in Polish towns. Excerpts are: AvantgardeAriergrade Festival (Insko), Music of The End of Century (Dierzoniów), Hardcore Festival (Katowice), Jazz Mondays in Theater Kana (Szczecin), Muzyka z Mozgu Festival 2000. From the beginning of the existence of the band, Robert Piotrowicz (1973), the managing person and the author of the compositions, has been styling the musical image of the band. Starting from dissonance without loading harmonic styles, he is experimenting with all kinds of articulation techniques. Using mechanical preparation and electronics he is focusing on creating sounds and tones that are untypical for electric guitar. He is member of art group OFFicyna Place of Art, also he organizing series of concert in his hometown Szczecin and small tours for improvised/experimenal etc music. Anna Zaradny (1977) after experiences with various music styles (classical music, big band, rock, jazz) has chosen extreme treatment of instrument. Saxophone is her field of exploration. She's interested in improving nontraditional techniques. This instrumentalist is absorbing the attention by thunderous and dynamic expressionism. She is the band's business card. Jaciek Majewski is percussion player in formation Mazzoll & Arhythmic Perfection. Recorded together from M & AP nastêpujace plates:"and","Out out this luncheon" and "Conversations s catem". One can his also to hear on solo - plate Miko³aja Cracks "Din - concert in Brain". Majewski appeared teê on moment on album "Enoptronia" by Tomasz Gwinciñsky playing in one from compositions, private solo on Congoes. Majewski Janicki and Mazzoll formed radical trio Arhythmic Brain. Other common project of section Janicki / Majewski this Pieces of Brain - ephemeral trio formed from American div saxophones Caroline Kraabel, which gave series of concerts in Poland in spring 1997. Year later came into being second edition of trio Pieces Of Brain. This together of section Majewski / Janicki partnership Ion To twenty-four hours - English guitarist. Occasionally gives a concert from Yass Big Bands RT. Tymañskiego.

Search | Add | 3 | Vederkast | Vederkast | "Vederkast is a band emerging from prolific music scene of Northern Norway. The members come from diverse musical backgrounds: stoner; metal; hardcore; and pop bands. This experience is forged into melodic, heavy hitting, riff laden stories of loss and redemption on their debut album Northern Gothic. The album is full of forceful musical ambition respectful to, but not bound by, traditional elements of hard rock. The band aims at creating songs that connect to the audience, while at the same time surprising the careful listener. The band is based in Tromsø, a town above the Arctic Circle, where dramatic nature has a profound influence on culture. In Northern Norwegian myth vederkast are enchantments that creatures from the underworld wield wilfully upon the innocent." -bandcamp description |

Search | Add | 3 | BenKane | Dávid Ben-Kane | A brand new face to the industry of house and electronic music. Started DJing a couple of years ago, but always sharing how good music can feel like. BenKane inspired by a lot of great entertainers and producers like Claptone, David Penn, Angelo Ferreri and Idris Elba is ready to go to the next level step by step. For now, mostly Budapest based, where he played almost in every festival and participated shows in many underground places. The half African and half Hungarian househead is one of the most recognizable djs in the country, always in shirts but in the most colorful way that you can imagine and even when you close your eyes, you will know that he is playing because of his selection of funky, deep and groovy music. The letter can be heard in the songs that he releases. A lot of tracks are in the making now, which are waiting to be heard and they will be as well funky, deep, groovy or all of the above. He is aiming big and he don’t want to copy anyone. He will try to bring his new style to the widest array of people as soon as possible. As for what’s next for the Hungarian producer, remains to be seen, but you can be sure that you will be hearing his name sooner than you’ll except. |

Search | Add | 3 | Stewart Eastham | Stewart Eastham takes his music in bold new directions with his third full length solo album The Great Silence. His first solo album (The Man I Once Was) painted a portrait of a man in turmoil and his second (Dancers In The Mansion) took on a more celebratory tone. His new release The Great Silence takes on the metaphysical realm exploring grand themes of life, death, and rebirth. While it’s not technically a “concept” album, it feels like one with its repeating themes and motifs. The album opens with instrumental track “The Renaissance” showing us right away Eastham is ready to break through the restrictions of the Americana genre where his previous work resided. Synths play a prominent part on that track and the album as a whole. Rather than keep his songwriting and film score composing separate, Eastham made the conscious decision to blend the two for this album creating a cinematic backdrop for his esoteric, yet relatable tales. Using both analog and digital synths, Eastham created rich sonic soundscapes that weave through most of the songs. Title track “The Great Silence” features a biting lead analog synth evocative of the classic Moog sound. That song has a 9+ minute instrumental coda that closes out the album with a “John Carpenter meets Run The Jewels” vibe. In the somber “Do You Dream”, Eastham’s stark voice and acoustic guitar are wrapped in warm synth sounds highlighting a bass tone that gets deeper and deeper with each successive, heartbreaking verse. While Eastham has expanded his sonic palette, the rich storytelling of his lyrics remain intact. The first single “40 Days” has a synthy rock n roll vibe and contains dark and surreal lyrics showcasing metaphysical elements found throughout the entire album. According to Eastham: “‘40 Days’ was one of the earliest songs I wrote on the album and, because of that, it helped define the overarching death/rebirth theme of the entire record. Through the main character’s exotic journey into the heart of darkness I was able to address some of my own fears regarding death and madness. During the recording process, this is the first song I put synths on. I really fell in love with that sound which also went on to help define the whole album.” Songs “One More” and the anthemic “Take My Land” have a classic rock vibe with nods to the past but arrangements that reside firmly in the present. And lest you think Eastham has left the country genre behind, he brings his vocal chops to the country tune “Curtain Call” bringing to mind recent work by Chris Stapleton. “Flowers To My Gravestone” somehow manages to mix disco and bluegrass in Eastham’s humorous tale of man stuck between this world and the next. “The Executioner’s Lament” is reminiscent of Eastham’s work with Day Of The Outlaw that veered more towards hard rock. The surreal yet poignant lyrics match the visceral power of the music. The spooky “Lake’s Edge” is evocative of a classic horror film with its mysterious tale of a man assessing his life while visiting his hometown. While big drums have always been a trademark of Eastham’s sound, his hip-hop influences shine through even more on this record. This is most evident on the searing “Beyond The Oaks” where Eastham sings over booming 808 drums. He explains, “I really wanted to throw out the rulebook for this album.” That adventurous spirit is also evident in the rocker “Life Of Crime” that features a synth solo with a distinctly Eastern European vibe. This album marks Eastham’s second outing co-producing his own material alongside Burke Ericson. Eastham now works out of his own studio and through his film score work has moved more comfortably into the producer role. As he put it, “I really had a lot of fun collaborating with Burke on the album’s production. Burke is in LA and I’m in Nashville so we were constantly sending ideas and sounds back and forth. I think this album was our truest collaboration in terms of really dialing in a specific and unique sound for this record.” The bulk of the album was recorded at ER Studio in Nashville, TN. Though there are synth sounds throughout, Eastham and Ericson wanted the album to have a live rock n roll feel at its core. Thus all four band members recorded together in the same room so each song had a vibe unique to that moment. The album features returning champions Allen Jones on drums and Jeff Rogers on lead guitar. Christopher Griffiths joined the team on bass guitar. All four of them have played live shows together, so there was already a strong musical bond in place before they set foot in the studio. This time around Eastham and Ericson played most of the extra instrumentation themselves rather than reaching out to their friends as they did on Eastham’s previous albums. They did bring back the outrageously talented David Yuter on piano/organ and Jennifer Gibbons returned laying down beautiful backing vocals throughout the record. The album was once again mixed and mastered by the maestro Rich Mouser. Eastham was born and raised in the foothills of rural Northern California. He grew up on the sounds of classic and outlaw country, supplemented with a love of rock ’n’ roll—starting with his parents’ beat-up Elvis and Beatles records on up through the glossy pop of hair metal. Eastham is also a long time hip-hop fan, with a strong appreciation for the classics as well as modern sounds. A lot of his youth was spent consuming horror films which were also a big influence on this album. While attending UC Davis, Eastham played drums in various bands. After graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering, he switched gears and moved to Los Angeles to attend film school and study acting. He fronted the band Day Of The Outlaw for two albums before embarking on a solo career after moving to Nashville from Los Angeles in the fall of 2010. He immediately fell in love with the city. According to Eastham, “You just can’t help but be creative in this town”. While continuing with his lyric based songwriting, Eastham has also moved further into the world of film scoring. In 2020 he scored feature length horror film “Human No More”. The soundtrack album is due to arrive on vinyl mid-2021.

Search | Add | 3 | Nimal Mendis | Nimal Rupert Arthedeva Mendis | Nimal Mendis (born 29 March 1934, Colombo, Ceylon - died 2015, Malabe, Colombo, Sri Lanka) was a Sri Lankan singer and songwriter, and was one of a handful of Sri Lankan musicians to appear on the BBC television programme Top of the Pops (1968). The following profile was authored by Nimal Mendis: My first break in England came when my song “Kiss Kiss Kiss” was sung by Mary Marshall. The recording was handled by Dennis Preston who later was to become the father of the traditional Jazz revival in the UK. It was released on Columbia. I have 22 songs published in Britain and have written music for films in Sri Lanka. “Kandyan Dance” an instrumental was my second piece in the West. Recorded by Friedel Berlipp and his Orchestra in Germany it went on to be No 2 on Radio Luxembourg. It was also released in the States. I have written the background score and songs for eleven Sri Lankan films. ”Films and Filming“ magazine in the UK says of my score for Lester James Peries’ film “Godking”: “score featuring such disparate styles as a baroque fugue and souped-up seventies orchestration has an ultimately moving theme at its heart“. At present my song “Girls” translated by Duminda Allehendra and sung by Amila Sandaruwan with a video production done by the students of the Digital Film Institute of Sri Lanka has been uploaded on Youtube. Its the first Sinhala Blues song and has been having rave reviews . The link to it is: [see Web Links] “Black Pearls & Green Diamonds” has eight of my songs on an LP for Decca by “One Two and Three” a folk group in Britain. I appeared with my singing partner Sandra Edema in 1968 as guest artists with my song “Feel like a Clown” on “Top of the Pops” in London and “Beat Club” in Germany that year. Record Producer Ray Horricks says this on the sleeve of the “Black Pearls and Green Diamonds” LP: “Nimal’s work combines an awareness of western melody and harmony with great originality in his story ideas, while there is a very exotic Eastern flavour about his choice of words. When it came to making this album I found myself preferring his numbers to the many better known folk items the three singers have in their repertoire". The artist left the following notes in Web Links: [for the youtube link] At present my song: “Girls” - the first blues song in Sinhala sung by Amila Sandaruwan and translated by Duminda Allehendra. The video was produced by the students of the Digital Film Institute of Sri Lanka [for the itunes link] There are 19 songs of mine in an album "A Songwriters Diary" Vol 2 on Itunes. |
