Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | JP Maurice | Jean-Paul Maurice | “Big change is coming” is JP Maurice’s anthemic promise to anyone who has seen their share of adversity. The seasoned Vancouver based musician, songwriter and producer knows the highs of his craft, but it’s in the lows where he finds his fire – taking the fuel of failed record deals, broken hearts, and the loss of loved ones and forging the pain into something beautifully optimistic. After touring Canada, Europe, and then taking home 2nd place in the PEAK Performance Project radio contest in 2015, a loss in the family turned Maurice mostly inwards, where he focused on channeling his emotions into his art. Investing in a world-class studio in Vancouver has allowed for late night collaborations, producing other artists, and creating endless song ideas. A direct result was the Girls EP, released in January 2017, which sweeps from cinematic pop-noir into slinky neo-soul, all tied together with Maurice’s powerfully emotive vocals. It’s a modern sound that captures timeless sentiments – love, loss, and the twists and turns in between. 2018 Kicked off with Maurice’s national TV debut as a featured artist on CTV’s The Launch, where he performed “Shapeshifter” live in front of industry big-wigs and over 1 million Canadian viewers. The follow up to the Girls EP was the aptly titled Boys LP, released in the spring of 2018. Picking up where the Girls EP left off, Boys has a more optimistic tone and evolves into a new sound for Maurice with flecks of alt country and roots rock embedded in the album. Since then, Maurice has immersed himself in working on his forthcoming album Pressure Makes Diamonds; set to be his most personal endeavor to date by taking on co-production duties alongside music industry veteran Ted Gowans (The Rentals, Tegan and Sara, Kehsa). The album is slotted to be released in 2020 and will coincide with Maurice’s plans to embark on a European tour. |

As a composer, he has mainly written vocal music, including several song cycles and two requisitions, "Where a gentle wind blows from the west" and "I know you are somewhere and in the dark shines" to lyrics by Tua Forsström, as well as organ and chamber music works, including two string quartets. He has made a large number of CD recordings with organ and choir music. As a cathedral organist, he was, among other things, the leader of several choir ensembles and conducted continuous oratorio activities in Visby Cathedral with works such as Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Elias and Brahms' Requiem on the repertoire. He was responsible for the concert activities in Visby Cathedral and was also a producer for the annual music festivals. He also carried out educational activities in close collaboration with many young composers. About fifty compositions have been written directly for him. In 2013, he participated in the project "A Very Big Concert" arranged by Swedish Radio and others. In this, most of the bells of Gotland's churches rang at the same time and the sound was transmitted simultaneously to the radio broadcast. Together with Karin Rehnqvist, he composed a concert for carillon in connection with this project. In 2010 he was appointed director musices h.c. in Visby diocese. Today he is active in Gävle.

Search | Add | 5 | Moral Excerpt | Different times require different methods, different problems ask for different solutions. In an era without much sense or reason, without a clear path if not one toward annihilation, old morality becomes an excerpt, a footnote in the abysmal history of mankind. Moral Excerpt is born out of all of this unrelenting decay, a devilish creature without a stable place in time and space. Francesco Presotto, already know as the mind behind the noise outfit Geometria Nervosa and the mutant techno project Søulless, unites forces with music reviewer, underground composer and copywriter Davide Pappalardo a.k.a. Førgotten and Abismø, going one step further in the pursuit of modern noise music with roots in the past. By mixing harsh noise, ambient, orchestral music, rhythmic mantras, they want to achieve a sound with a purpose and far from both today's fashionable scenes and tiresome clichés. Expect a score for our age, sonic comments about politics, society, inner turmoils, and the violent side of existence — rage, melancholy, confusion, moments of epiphany picture a contradictory world with nothing certain but death.

He had the honour of becoming one of the first Iban to record an EP record for the Singapore based Nanyang Radio before the emergence of other renowned Iban artists such as Michael Jemat and Christopher Kelly. Different from other Iban artists, he preferred to record Iban language covers of songs by Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck when many of his contemporaries borrowed tunes of Malay or Bollywood songs. His distintive voice has won him many fans over the years with songs such as Maria Ambai Aku, Lebak Pengerindu, Benak Menua and the list just goes on! In recordings, he was often accompanied by The Peaks Electrical, a band from Singapore. He worked as a policeman and passed away on 24th July 2018. |

Search | Add | 5 | Heather Innes | Heather Innes | In a concert Heather takes you through the gamut of emotions, from powerful ballad to gentle lullaby, with a timely sense of humour in between! Heather’s forte is unaccompanied song and she sings with great feeling and delicacy in her fine clear voice. Her singing has been described as peaceful and calming to listen to. Heather’s solo set is an eclectic variety of traditional and contemporary folk songs with a little poetry to compliment her songs. She is available a capella or backed by one of the fine musicians from her latest album “Here Comes The Day”. “Here Comes The Day” is receiving wide airplay in radio stations across Ireland, USA and the UK. Heather began singing professionally in 1990 after performing as the resident singer at the “Sunflower Folk Club” in Belfast for several years and recording her first album “All’s Fair in Love and War” at Spring Records, Rostrevor, Northern Ireland in 1989. In 1990 she moved to Scotland and toured folk clubs and pubs in Scotland and Ireland in duo “Donegal Folk Weave” (later to become Irish gaelic band “D́úlamán”) and gigged solo as an a capella singer and with various backing musicians for 6 years in Scottish and English folk clubs and festivals. Since then she’s toured with various bands and duos in the UK, Australia, Thailand, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Canada and USA. She still sings and records with “Caim” and has done so since 1998. As well as singing on albums with other bands and duos, Heather has recorded ten CDs with Caim and four solo albums. |
