Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Larry Briers | Laurie T. Briers | Early jazz and dance band pianist. Born in Newport News, Virginia, December 25, 1891. Briers likely received his first piano lessons as a kid, and later studied at some conservatory. Briers married his sweetheart Evelyn Russell Groeble on September 6 of 1913 before the 2 newlyweds moved to New York, where Larry Briers obtained employment at the Rector Cafe from the 4th Street, place where he decided to use the artistic name of Larry Briers. It was there when he met clarinet player, violinist & future alto saxophonist Joseph Samuels, who hired him for his orchestra that also played in the Rector Café. Briers did his very first recordings with Samuels's Orchestra for the US branch of Pathé (which later became Pathé Actuelle) on January of 1919, and also recorded with Samuels for Okeh, Emerson, Lyric, the Plaza group (renamed ARC), Gennett, the NYRL group (including Paramount, Puritan, etc.), Arto, Bell, Grey Gull, Edison & Federal among other labels. In addition to recording with the above mentioned Joseph Samuels's Orchestra (& his subset Synco Jazz Band (aka the Tampa Blue Jazz Band, Porter's Blue Devils (Gennett sessions from August 31 of 1923, October 11 of 1923 & November 12 of 1923) & Joseph Samuels's Jazz Band), Briers also managed to record with the Rega Orchestra for Okeh, [a1568094]'s Orchestra (both under Glantz's own name & several pseudonyms such as [a2976919], for example) for several labels, the Blue Ribbon Trio for Okeh, Harry Reser's orchestra & trio (1922 to March of 1923), the Green Brothers Novelty Band (for Edison, Gennett & Okeh among other labels), etc. Briers also accompanied the Harmonizers, Mamie Smith, Clarence Williams & many more vocalists & vocal groups, in addition to appearing on several of Joseph Samuels's violin recordings, some of Harry Reser's earliest banjo solos with piano accompaniment, etc. And if that's not enough, he composed several tunes such as "Just Suppose", "Dew Drop", "Satisfied", "Oh, Joe (Please Don't Go)", "Parson Jenks", "Page Paderewski" (co-written with his boss Joseph Samuels & legendary pianist Pete Wendling), "Fine Feathers" & of course, "Brother Low-Down", which can be considered Briers's greatest hit if we have in mind that it was recorded among others by Bert Williams for Columbia, Al Bernard for Victor, Edison & Brunswick, and of course, Joseph Samuels's (Synco) Jazz Band as the Tampa Blue Jazz Band for Okeh that also included Briers himself at the piano. By 1940, Briers was now living in Franklin, Ohio with his wife Evelyn Russell Groeble & their son James L. Briers (born on 1924). Briers is presumably dead in the period from 1960 or 1970 onwards. |

Céleste Boursier-Mougenot working what he calls himself sound forms "living" facilities that unfold in time and space correspondence, equivalences between sculpture and uncertainties and music. From the mid 1990s, Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, while musician for the theater, considering the space of the gallery and the museum as the singular locus of his compositions. Moving the question of musical performance and interpretation by the musician to the instrument itself, since it develops and sculptural work space in which diversions act on both the technology used and the processing of information. Performance without performersThe works of the artist playing on the illusion of live. They dig audio and visual traps, through filters and manipulations, in a world already deregulated. If it fits in an experimental music history and its sculptural and performative transmission short Cage Fluxus, via La Monte Young, the work of Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is not less contemporary of horizon saturated with information, signals, controls and information transfers. Fascinating in its simultaneously spectacular in its effects and thin and remote devices in its forms and passages between sound and space, it draws and plays the score of a sometimes uneasy dream simultaneously.

| Search | Add | 5 | Elmer Kelton | Elmer Stephen Kelton | Elmer Stephen Kelton (born April 29, 1926 in Andrews County, Texas; died August 22, 2009 in San Angelo, Texas) was an American journalist and writer who was particularly well known for his Western novels. Kelton was born in Andrews County in western Texas at the Horse Camp of the Five Wells Ranch, which belonged to the Scharbauer Cattle Company. His parents were Robert W. “Buck” and Beatrice “Bea” (née Holland) Kelton. When Kelton was three years old, the family moved to the McElroy Ranch, located in Crane and Upton counties. He spent the rest of his childhood there—his father worked there until 1965. After graduating from Crane High School, Kelton enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin, which he attended from 1942 to 1944 and again from 1946 to 1948, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. In between, Kelton served in the US Army and saw combat in Europe. He married Anna Lipp, an Austrian woman, with whom he had two children of his own and one child from his wife's previous marriage. From 1948 onwards, Kelton was responsible for the Farm and Ranch section of the San Angelo Standard-Times for 15 years. He was editor of Sheep and Goat Raiser Magazine for five years and Livestock Weekly for 22 years. Seven of his novels, Buffalo Wagons, The Day the Cowboys Quit, The Day It Never Rained, Eyes of the Hawk, Slaughter, The Far Canyon, and The Way of the Coyote, won a Spur Award from the Western Writers of America; three others, City: The Time It Never Rained, The Good Old Boys, and The Man Who Rode Midnight, won Western Heritage Awards from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1995, his novel The Good Old Boys was made into a film by Turner Network Television, with [a=Tommy Lee Jones] in the lead role. In 1977, Kelton received the Owen Wister Award for his life's work; in 1998, he received another award for his entire oeuvre, the Lone Star Award for Lifetime Achievement. In 2007, his memoirs, Sandhills Boy, were published. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Shayan Regan | Based in the UK, Shayan Regan is a singer/songwriter most known for his unique style, channeling his influences into the creation of his music. From a young age, he found solace in a variety of songwriters particularly focusing on genres such as pop, singer/songwriter, acoustic and folk, which contributed to him shaping his own identity as a vocalist. At 22, Shayan presents a passion for musical artistry, and a love for storytelling. His individuality carries through his music, and is particularly demonstrated in his debut album, 'a poison with an aftertaste'. His style is that of an organic, acoustic and a very personal stripped back ambience, and his attention to detail sets him apart. His songs hold its own story, allowing audiences to identify and connect with him on a personal level. His influences reign wide due to his true love of all music. A natural talent for the expression of raw emotion through his music, captivating the listener on a journey from beginning to end. | |

Later in life he began recording these spontaneous compositions and released a well-received trilogy of piano instrumental albums under the name Solitude. Nick’s latest release, Refuge is a collection of meditative, neo-classical instrumentals featuring the soothing sounds of string ensembles, choirs, and more, all built around his spontaneous piano solos.

| Search | Add | 5 | Wendel Jr. | Wendel Jr. - Percussion Replacement System | "Wendel Jr. is NOT another drum machine. Wendel Jr. is a state of the art, digital, percussion sound replacement device." That is the introduction the Wendel Jr. is given in the manual produced by Wendel Labs Ltd. in 1985. First introduced by [a=Steely Dan] on their [r=844094] album in 1980, the Wendel Jr. soon became a very popular drum sampler/drum machine used by numerous famous artist, groups and producers. The Wendel Jr's drum sounds are 16 bit sounds sampled at 50 kHz, recorded with no equalization on a 3M Digital Mastering System and then digitally transferred through a special interface, into the EPROM's that are in the Wendel Jr. cartridges being used for playback. The sounds recorded in the Wendel Jr. are not chopped off at the end. The natural decay is totally preserved in the memory chips, therefore providing extremely natural sounding sounds. "Think of Wendel Jr's output as a good mic in the right place of a good sounding drum. The phrase 'Realer than real' comes to mind, but I promised that I would not use it in this manual" is how Roger Nichols describes the Wendel Jr. in the manual. |

The name is based on a play on words in French "Anches d'où tout coule" (Reeds from which everything flows). Their first live occurred at MJC La Paillette in March 1978, together with [a556251] on bass under the moniker of "Anches doo too cool badaboom duo". The main duet plays in Brest, and tours in the Briton clubs during Summer 1978. They are also programmed during the 1st [l420072] in June 1979. In Summer 1980, the duet records demos of the "[r=2404872]" LP. They then record at [l324109] during Fall 1980, with a few guests: Nicole Calloc'h sings on a track, [a350153] reads a text on another, Jean-Pierre Ghez eructs here and there, whilst [a1077077] manages the electronics. The LP is released end of 1980. Only few lives were programmed afterwards mainly at Jazz festivals, but on the 19th of October 1981, the duet recorded a live album at L'église Toussaint in Rennes, called "[r=2433495]". It was released early 1982, at the same period than the Sax Pustuls' LP "[m=1548709]", but 2 weeks prior its release Paboeuf leaved the formation to join [a1584494]. The duet is gonna reform for a night in February 1985, for the showing of the "Purple Rain" movie, in Rennes. But they reunite officially at [l1519853] in Paris end of 1985. A few concerts were made in 1986 including [l486869], followed by a Tour end of 1986 which concluded on the 1st night of the [l420072] at the "[a18700] et ses amis" event. Another Tour started in January 1987 in Le Mans, Lyon, Montpellier, and the 12th of February 1987 at Salle Vilar, Rennes. In march 1987, they recorded their 3rd LP at [l327290] in Paris. Guests: [a1074423] on mandolin, [a383887] on bass on a few tracks only, and Hector Zazou on machines programming. [r=2731695] is released in June 1987. In July, they are listed for the [l706622] festival and returned in January 1988 to play at [l420082]. For the [l706622] in July 1988, the duet became a sextet called "Anches doo too cool sexes-têtes". 3 of the guests were part of the 17 persons big band led by Philippe Herpin aka Pinpin, "Prof Pinpin et ses Funk Noz". The band then welcomed Gilles Habile on keys and [a879247] on drums. Their final LP [m=1434251] is released in 1990, before they disband.

Stefan Timmermans and Franky Garmijn changed the name to Sisters Sex Haus a reference to Sisters Of Mercy, Alien Sex Fiend and Bauhaus. Evena s their sound had nothing to do with those bands. Both changed their name quickly into Nick Bat (Stefan) and Eve Mortley (Franky) because they used to be resident DJ's at The Tube and B52. Soon as they were planning to record Multiplication 6 Drive Glenn Rotsaert joined on guitar. Yves Beaumont did some writing. But after one year they both left the band. School became an issue to make new songs and in 1987 Sisters Sex Haus was over.
