Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Selma Shelley | Selma Shelley began her career in Christian music at the early age of three when her father took her to sing for the men in an Army camp during World War I. In their Christian home in North Dakota, Selma and the other children of the large family found in music their greatest recreation. Each child endeavored to become proficient in the playing of musical instruments and the family circle orchestra found great pleasure in playing the old hymns and classics. When Selma was nine she took the all-important step of making her profession of faith in Christ in an evangelistic meeting in the Baptist church which the family attended. A year later she began her formal study of music. She was frequently called upon to sing solos, and when she was fifteen she had become the regular church pianist. Moving to Seattle, Washington, and later in Washington, D. C., she became contralto soloist in a number of churches. In the nation's capital she was featured as soloist on a weekly concert program from WWDC. Back in Seattle, while working for the Navy Department at an Aircraft Company, she met her future husband, Bernard Shelley, who shared both her Christian faith and her devotion to Christian music. Their present home was built as a music center, with two complete studios for the recording of Christian music. Mrs. Shelley has been contralto soloist for nineteen years at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Seattle. On this church's own radio station, KTW, she was soloist for the "Light for Today" program. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Shelley have produced their own program, "Inspirational Melodies", from this same station. Meanwhile, Mrs. Shelley has been in constant demand to sing for the Christian Business Men's radio program, and on numerous other programs, and at notable events such as the Easter Sunrise services. An almost fatal illness in Mrs. Shelley's life proved to be an experience which brought her into a closer fellowship with God and a deeper dedication of herself to His service. As a result, she turned from open doors in the field of secular music and found what she believes to be God's perfect will for her life — singing His praises and in teaching others. One of Selma Shelley's finest contributions to Christian music was the organization of the Seattle Children's Choir which meets regularly in her home. Another group which has attained musical excellence through her guidance is the Octet, whose songs are presented in this album. The octet arrangements are all by Mrs. Shelley. | |

Born and raised in Porto, José Gentil-Homem starts his music career as a Death-metal band vocalist and then plays electric and acoustic guitar in other projects, from punk-rock to folk and pop music. |

| Search | Add | 5 | FR' Mystery | Gwarn Music | [a=Tony Henry] was originally going to keep the [a=52nd Street] name active and carry on releasing music under the heading. [a=Lorna Bailey] a music graduate from Birmingham but studying at Manchester University joined him in 1990. After a dormant year at Virgin\10, they finally released Henry from his contract and allowed him to take the [a=52nd Street] name. [a=Cool Down Zone] were still in that period signed to the label. Henry and Bailey worked on songs for almost a year. The sound and direction they created was more akin to gospel tinged Nubian Soul. The two standout tracks 'I Just Wanna Be' and 'Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt' got the attention in 1991 of A&R Director Pete Edge at WEA Records UK. In order not to cause confusion between the two acts, as Henry remained close friends with his former band mates and would invite both [a=Tony Bowry] and [a=Mike Wilson] to play on various tracks, a decision was made to retire the 52nd Street name and thus [a=FR' Mystery] was born. Whilst discussions at WEA were progressing, Edge was offered a major position in New York which he took with immediate affect. Edge suggested that FR' Mystery did the deal with him in New York but Bailey still had a year and a half at university and Henry had just returned from living in LA, recording (in his words) a terrible third 52nd Street album. Henry decided to take FR' Mystery down the independent route instead. With financial help from the band's music publishers Virgin Music, Tony Henry formed record label Gwarn Music in 1991. In 1994 he was invited to bring the label to New Order manager [a=Rob Gretton]'s Rob's Records for distribution. Gretton had invited 52nd Street to come to Factory Records in 1982. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Le Feeling | Le Feeling | Le Feeling composes and performs live soundtracks to radical, often censored, queer films. The “band” is comprised of Thomas John Roach, Jr. and Daniel Paul Boucher. Tom spent many years playing bass for Minneapolis-based band Lifter Puller and regularly collaborates with Wolfgang Tillman’s band Fragile. Dan spent an almost decade playing drums and various other instruments for Boston-based sculpture/rock/experimental performance art collective Neptune. Le Feeling sounds nothing like any combination of any of those aforementioned bands. Drawing inspiration from the films, writings and cultural contributions of Jean Genet, Chantal Ackerman, Derek Jarman, David Wojnarowicz, Kenneth Anger and Guy Maddin (amongst others), the musical arc bends closer to the light of ethereal, industrial, new wave, non-wave, possibly pretty, inexpensive jazz, psychedelic anti-music and danceable if you’re terrible at math. Dan and Tom met at Jacques Cabaret in Boston in 2003. Soon after that chance meeting, Dan found himself stranded in Paris due to a canceled tour with his former band. Tom, who was living in Paris at that time, invited Dan to sleep on the couch for the remaining month. During that month, the two spent an absurd amount of time at the most tragic, most amazing, yet cheapest gay bar within walking distance. The bar was called Le Feeling. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Vojo Stojanovski | Војо Стојановски | Vojo Stojanovski (February 2, 1949, Bukojčani - May 6, 2014) — Macedonian musician, author and singer of folk music. Biography Vojo Stojanovski was married to journalist Evica Kamberova - Stojanoska, with whom he has a son Damjan (born in 1996). Damjan followed in his father's footsteps, enrolling at the Faculty of Music Arts in the department of solo singing. At the same time, he also began a musical career: at the "Filigrani" festival he received the award for best debutant, and at the "Goce Fest" he won the first audience award, for the song "Aj so gospod napred". After a short illness, Vojo Stojanovski died on May 6, 2014. Musical career During his career, Stojanovski sang a number of hits, the most famous of which are: "Ti donesov mlada nevesta", "Edna misla imama", "Svadba golem", "Nema druga Makedonija", "Suvodolica", "Svadba rumeliska" and others. The author of the lyrics of his most famous song "Ti donesov mlada nevesta" is Risto Krapovski. After his death, the compilation album (on two CDs) "Moja Makedonija" was released, which contains 19 songs that Stojanovski performed at the "Goce Fest" festival. The release of the album was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Macedonia. In 1975, he participated in a festival in Probishtip, where he won first place with the song "More aber dojde Ajshe le mori". The members of the committee, which included the famous bagpipe player Pece Atanasovski, Jonce Hristovski and Mate Grujovski, convinced Vojo to start professionally pursuing music. Soon after, he recorded his first songs for the then RTS, including: "Stojane more Stojane", "Ako si se Sevde nekretila", "Ludo se sprema na gurbet da odi", and "Se sborale komite". After ordering the production of RTS, Vojo recorded songs from his region "Denes sabota mi e", "Poginal Stojan zaginal", "Konja vodam Angje", "Zorata se zazori". In the following decade, Vojo often performed in duets with singers Mirko Mitrevski, Vidanka Gjorgievska and Blaga Petreska. During this period, he became particularly popular among the Macedonian diaspora with his patriotic and migrant songs. This allowed him to go to Australia for the first time in 1985. His visit aroused great interest among Macedonians who attended his concerts en masse. Vojo participated in the Valandovo Folk Fest for the first time in 1986. He chose the lyrics he sang, and for a long time he collaborated with Radmila and Nikola Mitrović, who wrote the lyrics, music and arrangements of the songs "Svadba e golema", "Svadba rumeliska", "Srećna ti majko slava". Then, when he started singing new songs, Vojo collaborated with: Borče Nečovski, Orce Zafirovski and Ognen Nedelkovski. In 1992, he participated in the "Canberra" festival in Australia, where he won first place with the song "Nema druga Makedonija". Vojo himself wrote the lyrics for the songs "Do kade ima soj macedonskog", "Dojde den da se splotime", "Edna misla imama". One of his most famous songs, "Suvodolica", was written by his colleague Vancho Tarabunov. In his long career, Vojo has toured 35 times in Australia, 20 times in the United States and Canada, and has been to European countries hundreds of times. In the 1980s, he recorded one album for Jugoton from Zagreb and four cassettes for Jugodisk from Belgrade. In Belgrade, he recorded the song "Jas sum čisto Makedonče". |

| Search | Add | 5 | 25Hz | Zürich-based, Australian artist, producer & composer of upbeat Techno, Deep Tech and Tech House as well as darker, experimental electronica. 25Hz was founded in the shards of 2020 yet forged from a lifelong passion for music and inspired by artists from many genres; Beethoven to Bowie, Mussorgsky to Metallica … and beyond. Driven by a constant need to experience new music, 25Hz took the leap into electronic music production when the world seemed to be falling apart in early 2020, compelled by the desire to share these emotions and perhaps move someone else to feel the same. 25Hz music highlights the sides of the individual that resides behind the persona… experimental, dark almost visceral undertones with haunting, frisson-inducing highs; counterposed by dance music with a true sense of fun, bounce and movement that defies genre labels. So why 25Hz? It's linked to what started me in music production, as well as my cat Loki's reactions to my music... 25Hz is the fundamental frequency of a purr... and at its essence is perhaps the ultimate translation of emotion into sound. | |

He completed his apprenticeship at Lubas & Sohn in 1912 and immigrated to Cleveland where he worked as a laborer while manufacturing and repairing chromatic and diatonic button accordions in his spare time. He saved his money and by 1921 was able to build a shop on St. Clair Avenue. Besides housing his accordion business, the building served as a retail music store where he sold phonographs, records, and other musical instruments. In addition, Mervar acted as a consultant and talent scout for the record companies—[l61808], [l1866], [l62753], and later [l93681]. Among those he recommended were the [a6964156], the [a8400237] duet, [a6359617], and Anton Štrukelj. The Hoyer Trio’s earliest OKeh recordings (made under the name [a6449604]) and the Columbia reissues of them include on the labels the words “Harmonica izdelal A. Mervar” (Accordion made by A. Mervar). One of the Hoyer Trio’s recordings—“Samo da bo likof ” (Everything for a Bargain)—is a comedy sketch which describes a visit by [a2399990] to Mervar’s Music Store for the purchase of an accordion. In it, members of Chicago’s [a6936342] act the parts of Mr. and Mrs. Mervar. Application of techniques he learned in Europe gave Mervar’s accordions a distinct and unique sound which has not been duplicated. He and his wife died in an automobile accident in 1942. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Satin Gum | Satin Gum is an American power pop/alternative rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania consisting of songwriter Brian Spekis (Vocals, Guitar), Jonathan Gunnell (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Travis Craig (Bass), and Dan Vavro (Drums, Backing Vocals). The band, originally a trio consisting of Spekis, Craig, and Vavro, formed in the spring of 2008 and quickly released their debut, ‘EP’, on June 17, 2008. ‘EP’ was completed in do-it-yourself fashion with the members tackling all duties themselves (writing, recording, releasing, and distributing), their only background education coming from the school of trial-and-error. In the spring of 2009, Satin Gum added a fourth member, Jonathan Gunnell, on guitar and keyboards. Gunnell was a longtime friend of the band and had attended many of their early shows. He was somewhat reluctant to join at first due to an already busy work/school schedule, but he was bribed by The Gum with external hard drives, a troll doll collection, and unlimited cold beers. Satin Gum digitally released their first full-length album, ‘LP’, on August 27, 2009. A CD release followed in September. This effort was recorded & engineered by lead Gum dude Spekis with Gunnell handling mixing & mastering. On July 22, 2010, Satin Gum released ‘EP2′ which was regarded as the “most underrated local release of the year” by Andy Mulkerin of Pittsburgh’s City Paper. This was the first Satin Gum release where the mastering job was assigned to someone outside of the band, one Garrett Haines (of TreeLady Studios) who declared, “This album screams “HIT ME HARD!” Satin Gum’s latest effort, ‘EP3′, was released on September 20, 2011. Since their inception, Satin Gum has shared the stage with prominent musical artists such as Jesse Malin, Frightened Rabbit, Smith Westerns, We Are Scientists, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and French Kicks. The Gum’s songs have been placed in major television shows such as The Good Wife on CBS. No strangers to a delectable chow, the band members are often seen in their downtime enjoying a sandwich known as the “Leroy Brown”, a half-pound of Angus topped off with homemade BBQ sauce, sugar-glazed peppercorn bacon, and cheddar cheese. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Chris Chalfant | Chris Chalfant, born September 10, 1960, Akron, OH; Composer, director, pianist, vocalist, artist, author, and poet; Noted for her unique style as a creative artist, Chris Chalfant is a lyrical, rhythmically compelling, and powerful, innovative driving force in the world of jazz, new and improvised music. Her prolific output of composition and improvisation (over 400 works) draws largely from traditional music of Africa, Hungary and India, as well as from American folk music, jazz and classical music. Critics have compared her music and playing to a wide range of artists: Andrew Hill, Charles Ives, McCoy Tyner, Mal Waldron, Cecil Taylor, Bud Powell, Stravinsky, Don Pullen, Keith Jarrett, Webern, Meredith Monk, Thelonious Monk and a Buddhist monk. She draws from nature, poetry and dance with a strong sense of counterpoint and polyrhythm, resulting in non-ordinary phrasings, tonal structures and rhythmic layerings. Her work is both simple and complex at the same time, where she will take a simple children’s tune and create an expressionistic multi-tonal, multi-rhythmic contrapuntal composition or improvisation. Chalfant has a strong melodic sense as well as a feeling of tranquility in much of her work. Her keen sense of moment-to-moment movement in her composition and improvisation is supported by her training in Buddhism and Aikido, where “living under the blade” results in an unshakable fearlessness, confidence and a path of truth. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | The Council Of Thirteen | Culminating a dream that began 45 years ago, the Council of Thirteen the brainchild of keyboardist, vocalist, bassist and songwriter John W. Edwards, has its formations in songs that John started writing in 1979 while studying Physics and Mathematics at the University of Arizona in Tucson. John had the dream of starting a record label and soon thereafter, Renaissance Records was born. Formed and operating in Nashville between 1995 and 2001, he relocated the label back to Arizona, where it has been ever since. Therefore, The Council of Thirteen was born by combining the talents of 13 other musicians and singers with John’s songs and some great covers of other classic rock artists’ tunes. The full package of 48 tracks on "In Between The Dark And The Light" presented on 2 CDs gives a little something for everyone from power rock ballads to 70s pop songs, to 80s rock and new wave tunes and some great contemporary rock performances. "Lights of the Stage" is the second album featuring 24 new songs, including 5 classic covers. The third album "Find A Way Tonight" is being released in March and features 20 all new songs. The fourth album "Find A Way Tonight" has just been released in March 2025. | |
