Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Le Feeling | Le Feeling | Le Feeling composes and performs live soundtracks to radical, often censored, queer films. The “band” is comprised of Thomas John Roach, Jr. and Daniel Paul Boucher. Tom spent many years playing bass for Minneapolis-based band Lifter Puller and regularly collaborates with Wolfgang Tillman’s band Fragile. Dan spent an almost decade playing drums and various other instruments for Boston-based sculpture/rock/experimental performance art collective Neptune. Le Feeling sounds nothing like any combination of any of those aforementioned bands. Drawing inspiration from the films, writings and cultural contributions of Jean Genet, Chantal Ackerman, Derek Jarman, David Wojnarowicz, Kenneth Anger and Guy Maddin (amongst others), the musical arc bends closer to the light of ethereal, industrial, new wave, non-wave, possibly pretty, inexpensive jazz, psychedelic anti-music and danceable if you’re terrible at math. Dan and Tom met at Jacques Cabaret in Boston in 2003. Soon after that chance meeting, Dan found himself stranded in Paris due to a canceled tour with his former band. Tom, who was living in Paris at that time, invited Dan to sleep on the couch for the remaining month. During that month, the two spent an absurd amount of time at the most tragic, most amazing, yet cheapest gay bar within walking distance. The bar was called Le Feeling. |

Search | Add | 5 | Hans Priem-Bengrath | Hans Priem-Bergrath | German violinist and conductor, born 9 April 1925. His name is given on many releases as ‘Priem-Bengrath’, but the more idiomatic-looking ‘Priem-Bergrath’ gets more results on Google… His musical training took place at the Conservatory Gregoriushaus in Aachen . His violin teacher was Max Pfeiffer. Hans Priem-Bergrath studied under Artur Rother, Herbert Ahlendorf and Wilhelm Pitz, and later worked with Sir John Barbirolli , Franco Ferrara and Herbert von Karajan. At 20 he was in 1945, the first violinist of the Municipal Orchestra in Aachen. In 1948 he was engaged as concertmaster at the Municipal Theatre in Rheydt. From 1950 to 1980 he was deputy principal violist with the Berlin Philharmonic. In the meantime, he made his debut as Conductor in 1967. He conducted recordings and performances with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Orquesta Sinfonica Venezuela and the Mexican Orquesta Filarmónica de la UNAM. |

Search | Add | 5 | Solki | Solki are Serena Altavilla (the voice + guitar), Lorenzo Maffucci (turquoise guitar) and Alessandro Gambassi (kick, snare & hi-hat). The band members started the band together after playing hundreds of shows with other acts such as Blue Willa and Topsy The Great, with whom they’ve been hitting clubs and festivals such as Primavera Sound (ES), Reeperbahn (D), Elevate (A), Monkey Week (ES). Their music has been described as both fierce and dreamy, sensuous and warm, with strong melodies hidden behind a textile of dissonances and vice versa. Playing together in the China-tinged outskirts of Prato - dubbed “the Italian Manchester” - since 2014, Solki released their first album “Sleeper Grele” in October 2014, also debuting the underground label Ibexhouse. The album was tracked down on a single afternoon in the late summer with cheap mikes and a four-track tape recorder. After an early run of CD-Rs and cassettes, the album was reprinted on 12'' vinyl by the label Ibexhouse cooperating with Swiss DIY label Sacred Hood and Italian fellows Santa Valvola, nevrosi and Astio Collettivo.

Search | Add | 5 | Satin Gum | Satin Gum is an American power pop/alternative rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania consisting of songwriter Brian Spekis (Vocals, Guitar), Jonathan Gunnell (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Travis Craig (Bass), and Dan Vavro (Drums, Backing Vocals). The band, originally a trio consisting of Spekis, Craig, and Vavro, formed in the spring of 2008 and quickly released their debut, ‘EP’, on June 17, 2008. ‘EP’ was completed in do-it-yourself fashion with the members tackling all duties themselves (writing, recording, releasing, and distributing), their only background education coming from the school of trial-and-error. In the spring of 2009, Satin Gum added a fourth member, Jonathan Gunnell, on guitar and keyboards. Gunnell was a longtime friend of the band and had attended many of their early shows. He was somewhat reluctant to join at first due to an already busy work/school schedule, but he was bribed by The Gum with external hard drives, a troll doll collection, and unlimited cold beers. Satin Gum digitally released their first full-length album, ‘LP’, on August 27, 2009. A CD release followed in September. This effort was recorded & engineered by lead Gum dude Spekis with Gunnell handling mixing & mastering. On July 22, 2010, Satin Gum released ‘EP2′ which was regarded as the “most underrated local release of the year” by Andy Mulkerin of Pittsburgh’s City Paper. This was the first Satin Gum release where the mastering job was assigned to someone outside of the band, one Garrett Haines (of TreeLady Studios) who declared, “This album screams “HIT ME HARD!” Satin Gum’s latest effort, ‘EP3′, was released on September 20, 2011. Since their inception, Satin Gum has shared the stage with prominent musical artists such as Jesse Malin, Frightened Rabbit, Smith Westerns, We Are Scientists, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and French Kicks. The Gum’s songs have been placed in major television shows such as The Good Wife on CBS. No strangers to a delectable chow, the band members are often seen in their downtime enjoying a sandwich known as the “Leroy Brown”, a half-pound of Angus topped off with homemade BBQ sauce, sugar-glazed peppercorn bacon, and cheddar cheese.

Search | Add | 5 | DJ OPM | F. Chris King | DJ OpM (pronounced Opium) is a composer, producer, DJ, and co-founder of Halsted Street Entertainment. Since 1986, he brings a wealth of experience and a unique love for music to his performances. “I can spin pretty much anything. To me, it’s all about music and what speaks to you. Your job as the DJ is to see if you can make other people hear and feel what you feel. I try to do that in every set I play.” He has performed at Anime Central at the Soap Bubble and also helped to create the Underground Groove – a Friday night dance at ACen that was later renamed and taken to new heights. He has also performed at Ohayocon and has thrown several parties at clubs in downtown Chicago designed to showcase new and upcoming talent. He admits his favorite type of music changes from day to day. “There are so many new artists that have unique visions about the direction of dance music today that I find myself finding tracks I like in a lot of different genres. But, if you were going to pin me to just one, I would choose Soulful House. I love vocal talent.” |

Ihr erstes Studioalbum veröffentlichte Jana Berwig 2016 unter dem Titel “To be where you are”.

Andy Newby later replaced Simon Jones towards the end of the bands life. The goal to become one of the greatest pagan bands of all time being the aim, the band started spreading promotional dollar bills with the band logo on. The band did UK shows and performed at festivals but after a couple of years the band disbanded. Besides the promotional dollar bill, the band also made and sold a promotional DVD-r disc featuring live material from the UK in 2003 but that would be it. Sabbat would later in 2006, officially reform with their classic 1989 Dreamweaver line-up and the band would continue to play live up until Dec 2010.

Search | Add | 5 | Judy Domeny | Judy grew up on a farm near Rogersville, Missouri. The fourth of five children, Judy learned early how to weed gardens, pick up rocks from the fields, stack wood, and haul hay. To entertain herself while she worked, she sang folk songs. She sang of broken hearted Barbara Allen, English kings and queens, cowboys and Indians. She sang of Civil War battles, sailing ships, train wrecks, and murders. She sang to her pony on long trail rides and to the cows as she helped pen them. Fascinated by the stories within the songs, she developed a repertoire of hundreds of Ozark folk songs. The majority of Judy’s traditional folksong repertoire comes from the Ozark song collections of Max Hunter and Vance Randolph. Some of the songs date back to fourteenth century England, but most of her selections date from the early 1800s to the early 1900s.

Search | Add | 5 | XR66 | Technical death/groove metal band from Kaliningrad, Russia. Started by Anatoliy Smychkov as a continuation of [a=X-Rated 6ex6ex6ex] and [a=Exrated] originally as a solo project in January 2018, later that year expanded to the full band. XR66 takes its roots in 2006 when it was a death metal band called X-Rated 6ex6ex6ex which has released one album "Woodland Belt [Deadly Trap]" but split up during the recording of the second one. Only one man was left - their vocalist Anatoly, who gathered a new recording line up & finished the second album called "SOS" & renamed band to Exrated. But the band couldn't move forward because drummer Oscar Nilsson was from Sweden and it was impossible to rehearse due to geographical separation. The new story of the band began in 2016. At that time Anatoly had joined a local rock band to fill in a role of a bass player. So rock band set off to the Hertz Studio at the beginning of autumn. There was something in the air and Anatoly got an idea to continue the story of X-Rated with a slightly different name and concept. The new band took best ideas from the old songs and started creating new ones.

Search | Add | 5 | Marios Joannou Elia | Marios Joannou Elia | Composer and artistic director of Cypriot origin, born 19 June 1978. Elia first studied composition with Adriana Hölszky at the Salzburg Mozarteum and with Klaus Huber at the University of Music in Basel. He then studied musicology at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2004, inspired by the Aristotelian polyaesthetic conception, he developed the concept of 'Polymediality'. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Southampton in 2010, supervised by the British composer Michael Finnissy. Elia’s international breakthrough came in 2011, with the première at Mannheim's Central Square of the one-hour multimedia symphony Autosymphonic, performed by the spectacular combined forces of the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg, the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart, Stuttgart State Opera Children’s Chorus, 80 automobiles of all types and eras ‘played’ by 120 young musicians, Xavier Naidoo and Söhne Mannheims! According to a study by the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, Autosymphonic achieved a TV/media audience of nearly two billion. Since then, Elia has been widely accepted as an innovative mastermind of contemporary culture and has attracted the attention of the mass media. The Südwest Presse wrote: ‘Monumentalist: Elia is considered in the music world to be the man for monumental events’, while The New York Times, Deutsche Welle, Reuters and ARD – among others – have also praised his work. Even before this, his compositions had been regularly performed throughout Europe, Asia and America – his 80-minute opera Die Jagd (2008), for example, was praised for its ‘idiosyncratic sound worlds’ (Die Welt). Elia’s oeuvre of more than 70 pieces to date is multifaceted not only for the diversity of its stylistic musical genres but also for the variety of its intended performance venues. It includes works for opera houses and concert halls – for example, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, and the state opera houses of Hannover, Stuttgart and Skopje, as well as unusual venues, such as Salzburg Airport and Mirabell Gardens, the Transparent Factory of Volkswagen in Dresden and the eight-storey building of the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony. Renowned orchestras, ensembles and soloists, such as the Sinfonietta of the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble and the Austrian Ensemble for New Music have performed his works. Elia has been awarded prestigious international prizes, including the Lutoslawski and the Serocki Awards in Warsaw (2004 and 2008), the Edison Denisov Prize in Moscow (2007), the Luciano Berio Prize in New York (2010), the BMW Prize in Munich (2005) and the Gold Apple of FAMAB for Germany’s best innovative public event (2012). Besides his activity as a composer, Elia has worked as the artistic director of large-scale projects and innovative polymedia events, including the European Capital of Culture initiative (2013–15), the Highlight Celebrations for the Invention of the Car (2009–12), described by The Huffington Post as ‘one of the world’s more remarkable symphony concerts’, and the Tallest Church in the World (2013–15). |

He is one of the most loved Icelandic poets – not least for his verse for children and how beautifully his words flow in the Icelandic language – making them ideal for songs. Indeed, his poems have been a constant inspiration for composers, songwriters and musicians in Iceland. More than two hundred songs and compositions have been written based on his poems/lyrics, some even performed by internationally recognised artists such as Björk here performing the song about The Christmas Cat. |

Search | Add | 5 | Psy Goose | Rafael Marques | Psychedelic trance / FullOn Night DJ producer based in Viseu, Portugal Born 18th september 1991, his connection to music began very early specially with electronic music thanks to his uncle that was a deejay. The most psychedelic sounds were the ones he liked more. After a friend listened to one of his mixes he started to become encouraged. A couple of years later his passion for psychedelic music just pumped up and he started to dedicate himself to this way of life. Because he liked trance so much he just learned alone the deejaying art and, then he started to mix live. Nowdays his main references are: Brainwash, X-avenger, Conscious Chaos, X-side, Stereopanic, Frozen Ghost, Critical Mass, Tantrum and so on…We may say that PsyGoose is extremely electric and has his own style. His sets are very rhythmic. Hot grooves, nice taste and loads of energy. Always improving! |

Search | Add | 5 | Aloha Sluts | Aloha Sluts is an instrumental surf-trio from The Netherlands. Their music can be described as a mix between the reverb-drenched surf of Dick Dale and the fuzzy primal rock'n'roll of Link Wray. So how did the three Dutch gentlemen find each other? Unbelievable but true, they met in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA! And this little rock’n’roll fairy tale becomes even more unbelievable if you know that they met in the pool during a poolparty at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly 2014 festival, with one of the worlds best surfbands playing on the stage (Los Straitjackets). Guitarplayer Arny (Los Cheatos, The Last Post) found himself in a conversation with drummer John (Betty’s Doghouse) about, of course, music. After finding out they both play in bands and like surfmusic they decide to get together sometimes. At the same moment bassplayer Eric (Stacy Cats) swims nearby and joins the conversation! In May the band records an EP (Return of the Sluts) with producer Sven Lens (known for his work on the Snoop Dogg & Willie Nelson hit ‘Buy my Medicine’). The EP is released on vinyl by legendary rockabilly label Tombstone Records Holland (Space Cadets, Necromantix) in the beginning of 2016. The cover art of the EP is made by the well known American cartoonist Shawn Dickinson.
