Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Steve Rondinaro | Steve Rondinaro works as a marketing manager specializing in broadcast media at historic French Lick Resort in Indiana. Prior to that, he was a four-time Emmy Award-winning television news anchor and reporter, having spent most of his career in Miami and Orlando. He also owned and operated his own TV and radio stations in North Carolina. Steve has hosted the [l153566] World Championships for 42 years on PBS, ESPN2, and on movie screens across the country. In 2013 he was inducted into the [l153566]l Hall of Fame. Steve is active in volunteer work. He is president of the French Lick West Baden Museum, a weekly kindergarten reading buddy at Springs Valley Elementary School, and a staff member with the Springs Valley High School marching band. Rondinaro's drum corps career started like many others who have entered DCI's Hall of Fame, as a marching corps member. A young 10-year-old in upstate New York, Rondinaro joined and marched with the [a8858188] through 1975. He also co-managed the corps that year as they narrowly missed the finals competition with a 13th-place finish in the 1975 World Championships in Philadelphia. Rondinaro would help lead the Squires through 1979. Forging a successful career as a news reporter and anchor outside of drum corps, Rondinaro got his start with DCI's television broadcasts when asked by Hall of Fame Member Don Whitely to host a local PBS telecast of the 1976 DCI East competition in Allentown, PA. A similar opportunity was offered in 1977 for the DCI Canada event in Hamilton, Ontario, and by 1979 he got his opportunity in front of the camera at the World Championships, sitting alongside jazz trumpet legend [a38207] as co-host. Over many years Rondinaro has had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of broadcast hosts from actress [a856107] to sports broadcasting legend [a1093496], using his unique experiences and talents as a drum corps "insider" to educate his television partners even if they have little or no familiarity with the drum corps activity. As Rondinaro's broadcasting career took him to Miami in the early 1980s, he wouldn't lose sight of managing a corps. There he helped reorganize the Florida Vanguard into a new corps, [a7695405], a group that went on to win DCI's A-Class Championship title in 1984.

"I have been doing it ever since, covering all sorts of genres: Chicago, rave, old school, breakeat, UK house, trance, hard house and electro". "I started collecting house music back in 1986 after hearing some of the early classics from the likes of Raze, Ce Ce Rogers and Marshall Jefferson". "My first foray in to club DJ’ing (unless you count putting on a night from college in 1991) came after sending a tape (remember those?!?!) to the biggest rave night in Blackpool at The Zone in 1992. After a couple of nights filling in there, I became a resident Zone DJ for most of the next 7 years before starting to play for many more nights around the North West and West Yorkshire".

Search | Add | 5 | Tri O Five | Tri O Five is one of the most successful Bulgarian club bands. Their style can be described as funky, groovy beats. In 2005 fate brought Dessislav Ivanov, Ilyin Grivishki and Michael Fleming together. A month later, the first track of the successful trio is a fact. "Let's Start Over" was recorded in the home studio of DJ Ilko, but the next three songs -"Got The Groove", "Back To You" and "Travelling" were made in a professional recording studio. In 2007 the single „Let's Start Over” was released on CD with remixes of the same song by different DJ-s . The three musicians decided that for the promotion a bassist will be needed and that’s when Antony Rikev (WahTony) joined the band. Soon after that came their first international success . They released the song "No Where To Go" with U.S. label Blockhead Recordings. In the beginning of 2011 Tri O Five conquered stages and festivals such as Exit, Elevation, Spirit of Burgas, Apolonia, Dixi Jazz Festival and Sozopol Fest. At this time the band also included the drummer Nikolay Danev, who is part of the band today. At the end of the same year was released their long-awaited double debut album - "Travelling (Day Break / Night Out)". In January 2014 the group announced changes in its composition ! Tri O Five split with DJ Ilko and vocalist Michael Fleming , but Marten Roberto joined the band, and Preyah joined as a guest musician. With the new format , the band is: Preyah - Vocal Nikolay Danev - Drums DJ Marten - Programming Desislav Ivanov - Saxophone Antoni Rikev - Bass

Search | Add | 5 | Kozmo Flex | Tariq Nasheed | Rapper/producer/author/documentary film producer from Los Angeles, CA. Tariq A. Nasheed (also known as "King Flex" or "K-Flex") was born on the west side of Detroit, Michigan on July 1st . He is an author, actor, and game counselor. He wrote the New York Times best seller The Art Of Mackin. Tariq moved from Detroit to Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s with his mother and grandmother. Due to slow pace and boredom of the social scene he saved money for an airplane ticket which cost $125 and decided to leave Birmingham for Los Angeles, California at age 17. A high school dropout, he was known as an infamous hustler and street legend in the Los Angeles area during the late 90's. It has been rumored that Nasheed was affiliated with the Los Angeles street gang the Crips. Tariq (then known as K-Flex or King Flex) became somewhat of a mediator between rival hustlers at that time. He created dating techniques that were a combination of what he learned from older hustlers and what he learned by reading psychology books. He called these techniques "G.I.C.2" (game, intelligence, and common sense; squared). Nasheed became what he calls a "game advisor," meaning he would teach these G.I.C.2 techniques to men and women on the underground scene. In 1999, Nasheed wrote a book based on his dating techniques called The Art Of Mackin, which has sold over 250,000 copies. The Art Of Mackin laid the foundation for the modern "seduction" industry. His followup book Play Or Be Played (Simon & Schuster) was catered towards women trying to learn "the game." In 2005, he released another book for men called The Mack Within (Penguin), and he appeared on TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brian, as well as on MTV, VH1, and BET. Furthermore, Nasheed has a series of radio podcasts covering topics including dating, relationships, and social isssues. He now does sold out lectures and seminars around the country and he has recently released an instructional DVD called Mack Lessons. He has another book geared towards women that will be released in 2008 called The Art Of Golddigging. |

Search | Add | 5 | Dr. Vannacut | 2001 Timo started deejaying, mainly by a request of a friend who needed one additional DJ for his event. Never been on the turntables in public before Timo used this chance to improve his skills on front of an real audience. Soon after he was not satisfied anymore by just playing tracks from other artists but also wanted to create his own sound. He did alot of research and bought equipment and software over the years to be able to create his own style. Due to that reason he stopped increasing his deejaying skills and focused on producing and playing live. This style was first presented in 2007 at the event “Sinister - The roughest sequel” at the Roccadero, Krefeld. But Timo thought his style was still to “main”, and decided to make a pause. In 2011, after a lot of home experimentation and tryouts he started working on his first album “Vitriolic” which will be released on 15/03/13 during a release event at the Royal Bambi, Dortmund. His style is somewhere located between Industrial and Darkcore as it is supposed to be a unique sound experience.

Search | Add | 5 | Houston! | HOUSTON! formed in 2006 as a hard rock act formed by four young musicians coming from different styles and stories, Niko, Gaby, Phil and Dave, respectively vocals, bass, guitar and drum. In the first year they recorded a demo called “Never alcoholized” and they started building themselves a name around the live scene in Piacenza, Italy After a few months, the band enters the studio to record the first album “Fast in elegance” which opens the doors to the international collaboration with the US based label Sliptrick Records. We are in february 2008. In april HOUSTON! is the opening act for the Vengeance, a famous Dutch band, and due to an extraordinary live performance, demonstrating once again their natural feel for the stage, they get in touch with Erik Prins, manager of Mam Agency, starting a new collaboration. In october, following a series of gigs in the north of Italy, the band heads for the Netherlands and Belgium for its first european tour which rises a lot of attention and reaches new fans. Back in Italy HOUSTON! start working on the tracks for the new album “Mechanical sunshine”. When the new drummer Giovanni “Nello” Savinelli joins the band the music becomes more articulate and complex, the vocals become more aggressive making the perfect pair with the blistering guitar riffs. At the end of april 2009 the band is once again on tour across Europe raising positive reactions and expanding the number of band’s fans. Most of the gigs are sold out! After the tour the band signs with Tanzan Music for the release of the long awaited second album “Mechanical sunshine” which will be available in summer 2011.

Many positive reviews and a lot of live dates followed, including shows with LYNCH MOB, SACRED REICH and TONY MACALPINE. In October 1998 the band split up due to different personal obligations. At this time the Doctor retained his role as Dr. Frankenshred and joined the shock metal band ST. MADNESS, with whom he performed on "God Bless America" (1998), "Scare The World" (1999) and "We Make Evil Fun" (compilation released in 2003). More live dates followed including shows with KING DIAMOND, FLOTSAM & JETSAM, SACRED REICH, VAN HALEN and at MILWAUKEE METALFEST 12 & 13. In 2000 the original FRANKENSHRED line-up reformed and recorded a follow up instrumental CD called "Evil Shred" that was released on Guitar Nine Records and one year later made available also for downloading through David T. Chastain's Diginet Music label. This recording led to having the song "Igor's Revenge" featured on the 2001 guitar compilation called "Lick This" which also featured guitar shredders Rusty Cooley and Mike Chlasciak. Also in 2001 Dr. Frankenshred recorded another CD, released through Diginet Music label (as a part of the "Guitar Masters" series) which featured Dr. Frankenshred (guitar), David T. Chastain (bass) and Mike Haid (drums). Other guitar shredders were involved in this series, including Gus G. This also led to a live performance at the annual Ibanez Jemfest in Orlando, Florida in 2001. Another CD called "Extreme Solos" was also released in 2001 on the Diginet label, which features guitar solos by Dr. Frankenshred, Joe Stump and David T. Chastain among others. Around this time in 2002, the band tried to add a vocalist to the line-up. Many auditions were held and unfortunately meanwhile the original Frankenshred drummer quit due to not being able to agree on which vocalist to use and what direction to pursue. It wasn't until 2004 that a vocalist and a new drummer were secured. This line-up featured Rich McManus (vocals), Dr. Frankenshred (guitar), W.W. Spencer (bass) and Greg Hall (drums, SACRED REICH). The same year new CD was recorded at Tall Cat Studios in Phoenix, Arizona and was mixed and mastered in Germany at The Music Factory by Christian Schmid at the recommendation from David T. Chastain. Many live dates followed including shows with METAL CHURCH, GRAVE DIGGER, LIZZY BORDEN, ATOMIC PUNKS, GARY HOEY and JACKYL. By 2006 the singer and bass player quit due to the frustrating state of the music industry. In 2008 a suitable vocal and bass replacements were found. This line-up featured Kyran Brennan (vocals), Dr. Frankenshred (guitar), Robbie Erwin (bass), Greg Hall (drums, SACRED REICH). In 2009 new songs were recorded, mixed and mastered at Tall Cat Studios, Phoenix Arizona. FRANKENSHRED's music caught the interest of Metal On Metal Records, who offered the band to release "Cauldron Of Evil", that is the previously unreleased album from 2004 and 5 songs from the 2009 sessions as bonus tracks. The CD was released in December 2009. As the name suggests, there's plenty of fretboard gymnastics, but it's not just shredding for the sake of shredding. Dr. Frankenshred proves once again that he's also a great composer and chooses to work with some of the best musicians around, which resulted in an album loaded with kickass restless and aggressive songs with lots of hooks - all played on the highest level. Fans of solid traditional US power/speed metal verging on thrash, full of brilliant guitar tactics, should not hesitate to grab "Cauldron Of Evil". During 2009 FRANKENSHRED parted ways with the vocalist Kyran Brennan and, due to his obligations with SACRED REICH, Greg Hall had to leave the band as well. The drum position was quickly taken by Tom Higgins, however the search for the right vocalist continued... Meanwhile the band played several instrumental gigs as well as with a temporary fill-in vocalist, including a show with Y&T and at a gig Metalstock Festival in Arizona. In 2010 Metal On Metal Records decided to make the first 2 instrumental FRANKENSHRED albums available again, however in a digital format (through the new division DigiMetal), due to the lack of space in the release schedule and the fact that instrumental music has a narrower audience. The albums (re-released as "Into The Lab Vol. 1: Frankenshred" and "Into The Lab Vol. 2: Evil Shred" with several bonus tracks) were made available through CD Baby digital distribution in July 2010. These albums are full of dark and heavy, but also fun music by 3 highly skilled musicians (no computer generated drum tracks!) who don't just show how good they are, but can actually compose enjoyable instrumental songs that can appeal also to non-musicians. And most of all they are METAL (rooted in traditional US metal, speed and thrash, in the same style as "Cauldron Of Evil"), contrary to many shredders' albums. (source: http://metal-on-metal.com)
