These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

A leading member of the American "Indianist" movement, Skilton tried to create a "genuine", national American music by borrowing melodies and rhythms from Native American songs, in the same way that some Classical European composers let themselves be inspired by the traditional folk music of their own countries. Skilton received his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1889. From 1891-1893, he studied music at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. Afterwards, he taught music at colleges in North Carolina and New Jersey, until moving to Kansas in 1903, where he served as Dean of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas from 1903-1915 and continued to teach organ, theory and music history afterwards. In 1915, a Winnebago student, George LaMère a.k.a. Chief Ho-ton-ga, awakened Skilton's interest in Native American music. Based on traditional Native American melodies LaMère shared with him, Skilton composed "Two Indian Dances" for string quartet, two pieces called "Deer Dance" and "War Dance" that he later used as parts of his four-movement "Suite Primeval," and three "Indianist" operas. |

And thanks to her membership in a dance group, she even grew fond of Eurodance, Pop and German-Pop. In 2005, Claudia moved to Leipzig for studies, where she started exploring music more deeply. She formed the band "Mental Defect" with her husband, Daniel, in the subsequent years. However, personal differences led to the band's dissolution in 2017, which was a tough phase for Claudia. Seeking a new direction, she collaborated with Liss Eulenherz, forming the Dark-Synth-Pop duo "Sonorus7." Meer grew up in a bilingual family of Dutch and English teachers and began playing piano at six. In 1938, he enrolled in [l=Universiteit Utrecht] to study law and musicology. In February 1943, John Henry was incarcerated at the [i]Herzogenbusch[/i] concentration camp in Vught, near the 's-Hertogenbosch city. He spent the next two years at various forced labor camps in Strasbourg and Heidelberg. After the Second World War, John Henry Meer earned his Ph.D. in law in April 1946; he soon began working as a music lecturer at [l=Conservatorium Utrecht]. In 1949, Meer joined the faculty at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) in the Hague. In 1954, John Henry van der Meer became the head curator of the music collection at [l=Haags Gemeentemuseum]. Between 1963 and his retirement in December 1983, he worked in the same role at the [l=Germanisches Nationalmuseum] in Nuremberg. |
