Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Phungusamungus | Since their birth in 1997, Greenville SC's PHUNGUSAMUNGUS has originated and mastered a style that has been labled "FUNK" to "METAL" by various disc jockeys and critics throughout the east coast. The BAND simply calls it's unique, fun-loving style "HARD R&B". THE PHUNGUS' lyrical content is based on true experiences within the members' lives. FULL of hooks, never dark, tongue firmly in cheek, PHUNGUS believes their ability to relate to the PHANS is the reason for their burst of popularity, including being voted BEST BAND IN THE UPSTATE by the readers of Creative Loafing. PHUNGUS' stage presence is without question AMAZING, with each member individually interacting with the PHANS. Music ability that defines the word TIGHT, Stage Props, Costumes, Synchronized Moves, and just plain CHARISMA, has PHUNGUS poised to be THE band that is destined to put the "SHOW" back in "SHOW BIZ". Each member is blessed with the unique ability to maintain their own INDIVIDUALITY, while remaining true to the UNITY of the BAND. With PHUNGUS' Vibe spreading a big "ONE LOVE" attitude, it's no wonder the PHANS, who vary in age, race, and nationality, refer to themselves as members of the "PHUNGUS PHAMILY". PHUNGUSAMUNGUS' three self-produced releases have sold THOUSANDS OF COPIES EACH, and counting, through the succesful Live Shows regionally, and WORLDWIDE with the help of Red Eye Distribution Company. The first two releases have OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT. They are currently in REGULAR ROTATION on several radio stations on the east coast. THE PHUNGUS is RIGHT AT HOME performing to crowds of up to TEN THOUSAND, and has shared the stage with many NATIONALS including; - BUCK CHERRY - GWAR - Hed(pe) - JACKYL - JIMMY'S CHICKEN SHACK - LENNON - PHUNK JUNKEEZ - PRIMER 55 - SHOOTYZ GROOVE - SIMON SAYS - SLAVES ON DOPE - SPINESHANK - SPONGE - STEREO MUD - STUCK MOJO - TAPROOT - and too many more to mention, as well as to come. PHUNGUS is currently performing throughout the east coast, with sponsorships from Hooters and Miller Lite/Icehouse, and CONSTANTLY writing and recording NEW MATERIAL. Earning the Press-Given Title of "THE HARDEST WORKING BAND IN THE SOUTHEAST", PHUNGUS will continue their QUEST to SHARE THEIR VISION with the world AS LONG AS IT TAKES... | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Analogue Sea Otter | Boris Otterdam, Jericho Von Ebineezer, Basil F. Starbuck , Horror Fox | This project was started by Boris Otterdam and Jericho Von Ebineezer in Perth, Western Australia in March 1998 after the two met in art school at Carine TAFE. Later members included Basil F. Starbuck and Horror Fox. They performed one show at The Hyde Park Hotel in June 2000, supporting the goth/industrial band "Conditions Apply" The band were all known associates to Perth's punk rock scene in the late 90s and early 2000s. At the time the scene was welcoming to noise, experimental music, techno punks, fashionistas, goths and art idealists. This association lead to the collaboration with then close friends and former Bunbury/Perth punk band Trash Ivory in 1999 as noise punk supergroup "Trash Seaotter". All of the recordings made by them though, were lost in the Cheriton St. fire of 1999. A handful of Analogue Sea Otter recordings were reworked, remastered, and released posthumously by Boris Otterdam on Night Terror Recordings and ENDE Records in 2010 and 2019. Talk of a reunion was made in Melbourne in 2008 but is highly unlikely with the four members now living busy lives with scheduling conflicts and geographical distance too great. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Marty Kapugi | Martin Kapudjija | Martin Kapugi was born in 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. There he spent most of his life, with the exception of several years when his parent took him to their native Yugoslavia. There he attended school, learning the native language, customs, and folklore. It became a real asset to him in later years pursuing his music career. After returning to the United States, he lived in West Virginia, playing the banjo and saxophone, but soon turned to the tamburitza (brac). Since then he became a major figure in Yugoslavian and ethnic music as a singer and brac and cello player. As a singer, it is difficult to describe his voice ... an effortless strong tenor that has thrilled and inspired all who have heard him. There is no better description than "Yoy!" He formed his first tamburitza orchestra in 1929, with his brothers joining him in Chicago. In his orchestra he had many outstanding musicians such as Art Milacek, Vaso Bukvich, Djoko Dokich, Mel Dokich, Matt Jursich, and Bella Balog to mention a few. He began his teaching career as the mentor of his brothers, Frank, Louis, and Adam, and he taught young tamburitzans since 1950. He did much to encourage Yugoslavian youth and to keep the tamburitza alive in America. Several currently well-known tambura players began their career as Marty's pupils. In the late 1940s and 50s, his orchestra established a nightclub known as "The Tamburitza Cafe", featuring his tamburitza orchestra. Their music included Yugoslav and other continental styles, as well as light classics. Among many distinguished guests, Tamburitza Cafe was frequently visited by members of the famous Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In the late 1950s, Marty and his tamburitzans performed weekly for a radio program over radio station WTAQ. The program was called "The Balkan Musical Caravan", and was under the direct sponsorship of the Balkan Music Company of Chicago. The announcer was the well known, international music program director, Rudy Orisek. Rudy Orisek's "International Cafe" television show featured Marty's orchestra in solo performances as well as the accompaniment for internationally renowned artists, such as Martha Schlame, Judy Henske, the well known gypsy violinist David Romaine, and many more. Marty's work is preserved in his many recordings; so numerous, in fact, that it would be difficult to list them all. He made recordings for RCA Victor, Decca, Continental, Columbia, and Zora, but his favorite company was and still is Balkan Records. Besides his own recordings, he accompanied well known Yugoslavian artists such as Vinka Ellesin (crowned 'Queen of Sevdah'), Edo Lubich, Rasha Radenkovich, Urash Seferovich, and many more. He also arranged several Yugoslav songs, among them his favorite "Nema Miga Cange", recorded on Balkan Records. Marty and his tamburitza orchestra toured the United States several times, concertizing with many famous musicians, such as the late Dave Zupkovich. The friends and fans he made during these tours still cherish his recordings. Besides being a conscientious tamburas, Marty is also, as his many affectionate friends insist, a 'regular guy'. Besides being kind, good-natured, and helpful, he belongs to several Yugoslav clubs and other organizations. He was the first tamburas in the Chicago area that joined the musicians' union, and he was a member of the defunct Chicago Tamburitza Club. Presently, besides teaching young tamburitza orchestras, Marty plays for many Yugoslav programs, dances, weddings, and picnics. Members of his group are his brother Frank Kapugi, Urosh Mamula, and Steve Makarovich. Marty Kapugi and his "Sar Planina Orchestra" have done a truly extraordinary job in bringing tamburitza music to many Americans of varied ethnic backgrounds. His work will not be forgotten for many years to come. Congratulations, Marty, on a job well done. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Thunderduk | Spawned from the fertile musical grounds of Cleveland, Ohio, Thunderduk was part of a local scene that included the likes of The James Gang, Glass Harp, Bang and Dragonwyck. Their desire to play original music and their on stage antics made them one of the top draws on the club circuit in the early 70's. The combination of Phil Hilow's folk background and the versatility of Jeff Ulmicher produced a sound that included intricate rock ballads and long complicated concert pieces. The foundation of their sound lied within the Bass work of Gary Wallis who spend many hours working on the band's equipment and developing new sound techniques to enhance the band's overall presentation. Rounding out the band was Bob Turchek on Drums who was later replaced by ex-Catscradle drummer Rick Fischer. Most of the material heard on this album was played by the band on two Agency Studio live broadcasts carried by local radio station WNCR. | |

Maybe it’s somewhere between worlds; a parallel dimension between Hip Hop and Jazz, glitch drums and gentle harmonies, between groaning synthesizers and warm guitar riffs; somewhere between narrowness and infinite space. Inspired by artists such as Flying Lotus and Portishead, Akere experiments and creates music that lands far away from any stereotype. The group does not force a mix of existing genres. Instead, the resulting sound feels natural and effortless. Akere makes the music they want to make, or they have to make, or simply, that they make. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | The Potters Wood Kingswood Silver Band | Founded in 1892 as the Bristol East Temperance Band by George William White for the miners in the locality, the Band has had a continuous presence in local activities and wider afield. The White family, widely known in East Bristol, were heavily involved from the beginning in conducting, teaching, playing and administering the Band's affairs. The Band participated in various contests with the highlight of each year being the West of England Championships in Spring. The Band was consolidating its return to the Second section prior to the merger. Kingswood (Bristol) Band The Kingswood Bristol Band, as it is was last known, was formed in 1958 by Mr Herbert Sevier. Consisting initially of boys from the Potters Wood Methodist Church it went by the name of 'Kingswood and District Band'. The first rehearsal, taken by Herbert, was on 14th January 1959. The band rapidly grew in numbers and success, reaching the National Finals in London in 1966. It was also in 1966 that the now 'Potters Wood Kingswood Hill, Bristol Silver Band' amalgamated with the Albion Dockyard Silver Band who were also conducted by Herbert Sevier. The band's name now changed to the 'Kingswood (Potters Wood) Silver Band'. The band was now going from strength to strength, culminating in promotion to the Championship Section. The band secured sponsorship from local manufacturing company Bendix in 1976, a partnership that lasted over 20 years. 'The Bendix Kingswood Band' again reached Championship status in 1988. A severe lack of players almost caused the band to fold in the mid 1990's but, through the loyalty of the members, built its way back up. In 2000, the band was placed 1st in the regional championships held at the Riviera Centre, Torquay, becoming the Boosey & Hawkes National Brass Band Champions of the West of England (2nd Section) enabling them to compete in the National Finals in Preston. The band qualified again in 2001, again enabling them to compete in the National Finals. In this year both the Regionals and Finals were held in Torquay! Although throughout the banding world they became known as 'The Bendix Band', sponsorship from the Bendix company eventually ceased with the company's demise. With this in mind, in July 2006 the band changed its name to the 'Kingswood Bristol Band'. Thus maintaining its links to the community it regards as home. | |
