Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Brain Chiggers | The Brain Chiggers are a five piece band out of the Illinois area that have recently put together a five song EP entitled "Organized Chaos", which describes their music perfectly. What you'll find on this album is something that is different from most of the indie albums out there today. They are aggressive, raw, and heavy, while at the same time incorporating some acoustics and mellower parts into their music as well. Samples and electronics also play a big role in their sound, which are done by both vocalist, P.M., and drummer, M. Jackson. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Anne-Marie Williot | Anne-Marie Williot is a trilingual multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter hailing from rural Quebec, and now based in Winnipeg. Her song-writing brings to light hidden dream territories which murmur in the subterranean wells of our lives. A honed poet and performer, she writes and sings in a deliciously melodic blend of old and new sounds, often evocative of candle-lit cafes. Anne-Marie has been performing since the age of four, a journey that has taken her from singing solos in choir to the recent release of her 2020 album: Cheval Géant. She has toured Canada from coast to coast and while the world is on hiatus, has filled the sidewalks of her neighbourhood with her music. At a very young age, he learned the basics of the guitar and began singing, first for his cousins and neighbors, then at small local private parties and weddings. Skillfully artist, he mixes all Moroccan styles and Algerians influences, whether modern or traditional, in order to create a unique genre that belongs only to him. Bakr also enjoys covering classic songs by artists, such as “Lala Maryama” by Cheb Douzi, “Al Horm ya rassoul lah” by Malhoune or even “Wedi Hay Wedi” by Cheb Khaled. Although today living in Belgium, Bakr nonetheless remains an important figure in Moroccan musical life, of which he is undoubtedly one of the best representatives. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Saunders' 98 Key Gavioli Fair Organ | Saunders' 98 Key Gavioli Fair Organ, Serial No. #7630, was built in 1886 as an 84-key barrel organ by the renowned French manufacturer Gavioli et Cie and sold in the UK by Chiappa & Sons, a prolific London-based manufacturer and distributor of mechanical music instruments. It's often cited as the oldest surviving and functional Gavioli mechanical fairground organ today. In 1983, A C Pilmer Automatic Music from West Yorkshire conducted a unique, "period-accurate" expansion of the organ to a 98-key scale, switching from the original "pinned barrel" mechanism to Gavioli's patented "book music" system. Since 1987, the organ has been preserved in the Saunders Steam Collection. The identity of Gavioli's first owner is unknown today; reportedly, the organ was used as part of a traveling menagerie show. It was one of Gavioli's headliner models, the largest available Orchestre Militaire ("military orchestra") design. The first confirmed proprietor of this Gavioli was a Silcock Bros. company in Warrington, co-founded in 1914 by Herbert Arthur Silcock (1926—2021) and his siblings, Lawrence, Edward, and Arthur. Throughout the 1920s, the Gavioli organ underwent several changes and technical upgrades, most notably the addition of percussion; the original mechanism for manually switching between different melodies on the barrel was replaced with an automated selector. The Silcock brothers restarted their company after World War II and retained the Gavioli organ for about three decades. Herbert A. Silcock married Jane Silcock, née Pilkington (1926—2020) in 1949, and they had three children; one of their sons, Herbert Edward Silcock, Jr. (b. 1950), carried on the family business in the third generation. They were among the last British fairground proprietors to use traditional barrel organs until the late 1950s. The ownership and exact whereabouts of the Gavioli between 1960 and 1983 are disputed. According to [a=Andrew C. Pilmer]'s liner notes for the 1987 Saunders' Organ – Vol 1 cassette album, the organ belonged to several collectors, first W. J. "Bill" Barlow (d. 1976), then Peter Arnett (1923—2002) in Portsmouth (from 1973 to 1981), and finally Tom Fisher (1981–83). Meanwhile, Marco Ladd's 2025 article about "monster" street organs in the Nineteenth-Century Music Review by [l=Cambridge University Press] claims that throughout the 1960s, the instrument belonged to the Gladiator Club in Redruth, Cornwall; in the photo, it has decorated "T. Clarke's Racing Motors" plaques. Several photographs from the Morrab Library archives in Penzance, Cornwall, feature the same Gavioli organ showcased by the Gladiator Club as late as 1980, captioned as "Gavioli Organ purchased from Len & Jack Cole, Leeds." (Notably, the instrument is clearly labeled as "1875" on the decorative case.) In 1983, the A C Pilmer Automatic Music firm in West Yorkshire purchased the heavily worn instrument for restoration and conservation. After thoroughly inspecting the old pinned barrel, [a=Andrew C. Pilmer] (b. 1957) and his late father, Anthony "Tony" Pilmer, decided to upgrade the action to a so-called "book music" system — a revolutionary design patented by Gavioli & Co. in 1892, not long after this specific barrel organ was shipped. Anselme Gavioli (1828—1902) didn't invent the concept of encoding data on the punctured paper itself, nor was he even the first to apply it in musical devices (preceded by French engineer Jules Carpentier (1851—1921), for instance, and his "Harmonium" pump organs in 1881 that used similar punch-cards for the recording and playback). However, Gavioli's new "Book music" (Livre de musique) medium became truly disruptive and groundbreaking for mechanical organs. Replacing a heavy and bulky, yet fragile rotating pinned barrel with sheets of punched thick cardboard folded in a zig-zag pattern provided vast benefits from every possible standpoint: extended duration and full-length compositions (versus 5-7 short tunes, limited by physical dimensions and "hard-coded" on the barrel with metal pins and bridges), interchangeable and instantly swappable repertoire, much better and consistent sound quality, and, most of all, streamlined and simplified manufacturing at the fraction of the cost of hand-assembled barrels with thousands of minuscule pins and staples. The restoration lasted more than three years and required making over 300 new pipes, adding new ranks and mechanisms for the enlarged scale, rebuilding the chests, and meticulously restoring the decorative façade. Curiously, Pilmers designed a new 98-key action based on the original "87/89 key no. 4 scale," not a more common "violin-baritone scale" typically used by British restorers. In the summer of 1986, the renovated 98-key Gavioli debuted as part of the Saunders Steam Museum in Stotfold. This unique collection of antique steam engines and fairground rides was established in 1961 by the late Reg Saunders and his wife, Hilary Saunders (1928—2014). Typically, the Gavioli organ was accompanied and powered by the famous 1925 "ex-Mayor" Burrell 4000 Special Scenic Road Locomotive engine. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Altino Soares Da Silva | Altino Soares da Silva was born in 1928 in the city of Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul. From a young age, he nurtured a fascination with ufology and samba. In the 1950s, he worked as a painter in Rio de Janeiro. In 1977, he joined Disco Som Produções, run by maestro Caroá. But Altino was one of several unsuccessful artists in this area. Around the late 1970s and early 1980s, he released a single with two songs called "Discos Voadores dos Mundos Siderais" and "Maria Cecília". The last information available about Altino Soares da Silva is that in 1992 he filed a lawsuit over a house he rented in Bairro Fátima, in the central region of Rio de Janeiro. According to informations in the web, the artist was allegedly abducted by aliens (a conspiracy theory) or died around the same time as Caroá, the maestro of Disco Som Produções. Trajectory: Born in Bonito, Pernambuco, in 1928, he moved to Rio de Janeiro in the 1950s and worked as a house painter. Album: He recorded a vinyl record with lyrics about his experiences. Rediscovered: Altino's story was recently rediscovered, with the record becoming valuable to collectors and the music being released on streaming platforms. After the album's release, he disappeared and was never found again, fueling speculation and mystery about his fate, with some people believing he was abducted. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Metrical Charms | Metrical Charms was the successor of the Thrash metal band Necromancy, which was based in Werl, Germany. It is not quite clear who was part of the project at an early stage, but it is sure that Oliver Britten (bass, vocals) and Spinne (guitars) were the remaining original members from 1990 onwards. After Greg Keller (vocals) and Wilko Frenzel (drums) had joined the band, the name was changed to Metrical Charms. In 1993 Britten left the band and Börk Keller took over the bass. Later that year, Gerold Kukulenz joined the band as a keyboard player. The line up changed again in 1994 and subsequently featured Natalie Lübke (keyboards), Boris Wortmann (drums), Börk Keller (bass) and Dirk "Duff" Goding (guitars). Metrical Charms split up in 1995. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Mc Koo | Kalle Havumäki | Born: June 6, 1991 MC Koo (aka. MC Pikku Koo and Koo Havumäki) was known the lead member of a hip hop group Resisposse, but later moved on to a solo career as Resisposse unofficially went on a hiatus. His mother is known as the news anchor of Yleisradio, Marjukka Havumäki. Havumäki gained publicity in 2006, when he performed in the Buusteri TV show on national television. The clip was uploaded to YouTube and soon it became an internet phenomenon with many humorous remix videos. Havumäki suffered from bullying in school and even pondered to quit his career as a hip hop artist. Together with his family Havumäki tried to get the videos off the internet, without success. Some time after this Havumäki gave out an exclusive interview, now saying that he's not offended by the humour built around him in the internet and that he finds it rather flattering. In the spring of 2010 Havumäki once again became the center of attention in the media when he was denied access to a restaurant called Hemingway's, due to him being mentally and physically disabled. The restaurant later apologized and claimed that Havumäki was mistaken for someone highly intoxicated, since he had stumbled on the restaurant's door. The Finnish Association of People with Physical Disabilities strictly considered the action discrimination against disabled people. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Venezuela 4 | By 1973, the master composer and arranger [a=Luis Laguna] (†) founded in Maracay, the group Venezuela 4. The group Venezuela 4 was mainly dedicated to instrumental music of traditional Venezuelan roots, over time the compositions of maestro Luis Laguna became a mandatory repertoire for students, singers and musical groups. Venezuela 4 releases its first full-length album in June 1975. Chronologically, this is the first group that gave indications of a change in Venezuelan traditional root music, although its work as an active group was brief compared to those of Raíces de Venezuela and [a=El Cuarteto], which have already passed thirty years of activity. Two record productions as a group and a series of albums accompanying singers, is the recorded legacy of Venezuela 4. The death of its leader, [a=Luis Laguna], in 1984, meant that the group did not stay longer. Undoubtedly, Laguna was a fundamental piece of this group, in addition to being, for his excellence, one of the most popular and important composers of Venezuela, especially towards the second half of the twentieth century, because from his compositions he becomes the protagonist of the aesthetic change of Venezuelan music. [a=Aquiles Báez], a renowned Venezuelan guitarist and composer with a long career, comments in a personal capacity that changes in music generally occur from the proposals of the composers, in the case of Venezuela, Laguna is a benchmark of the transformations in Venezuelan music in the 70s, since his work updated the traditional repertoire and opened the way to a new generation of musicians who later, during the 80s and now more recently in the 21st century, have continued with the line of work proposed by the teacher. By 1968 musicians began to gather, especially guitarists, in the house of maestro Laguna located in Maracay, Aragua state. These first calls were made with the intention of playing music based on the teacher's teachings, as well as exploring new musical proposals, especially those from Brazilian music. From there, an ensemble of musicians begins to be profiled in which these learned ideas began to come to life. Over the years the proposals born of that kind of laboratory that was the house of Laguna were concretized in a musical work that was formalized with the birth of the group Venezuela 4 in 1973, «... originally composed of Luis Laguna (guitar and direction ), his son Carlos Laguna (four), Eliécer Guzmán (mandolin) and Carlos Soto (double bass) »(Guido and Peñin, 1998: 718). Later [a=Henry Martínez] and Lencho Amaro join the guitar. But this need to differentiate had detractors, there was "... a lot of criticism of what Venezuela did 4, they said we made Brazilian meringues, distorting Venezuelan music, it took us a lot to be accepted," says [a=Henry Martínez]. It is normal for changes to generate positions found by the most orthodox, but thanks to these transformations, traditional music becomes dynamic and changing, thus enriching its own evolution. | |
