Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 7 Plastic Violence Fabrizio Paolillo, Francesca Materazzi Plastic Violence starts in 1996 as a duo formed by [a1499348] and [a1499333] (Vega). Their first releases was with a strong flavor of industrial/experimental music and with political and social contents. With the first official Cd Immaterial (Death Paradise Production) the sound is radically changed to minimalist instrumentals ice-cold glitches with the tracks titles (begins with Ideal and ends with Idol) to form a path that blends the denial of the matter as a product's form and against the institutionalized art. The rare live-set exhibitions of Plastic Violence at the time was made to realize a noisy background to claustrophic multimedia happenings, helped also by other occasional collaborators. Then, in 2005, Francesca left Plastic Violence but Fabrizio has continued under the moniker with various compilation tracks and creating sonorizations for theatrical/art installation . In 2006, the year of the dog in the chinese calendar, Plastic Violence has released a monthly singles club on 3"cd-r ,The Dog Series (Death Paradise Production), each single in strictly limited hand-numbered edition of 50 copies. With these realises Plastic Violence has expanded the musical range to explore different directions. From the 11th issue of The Dog Series, Plastic Violence returns to be a duo with the adding of Marco Ricci as guitarist and singer .

Search Add 7 Bersurke MA native Bersurke is an artist/producer truly in his own lane. Not swayed by current trends or waves, his style is routed in traditional underground, hardcore hip hop - and is as brutal as it is entertaining. Bersurke began his musical journey producing at the age of 17. He quickly established himself in his home court as “The Guy” with offbeat and heavy hitting instrumentals. Bersurke, frustrated by lackluster raps of the mainstream, founded Supreme Corpse Records in 2012 as a vehicle to release music that took aim at all things whack. Later in 2015, he and label mate Jeff “Daddio Smoov” Spencer released their first full length project “Supreme Corpse: Diggin’ in the Graves” which was fully produced by Bersurke and featured contributions from Still Evan (formally illEvan) and Lo Wav (credited C-Lo Dice). The project became a cult classic in the Boston underground scene, and the success of the single “Keepin’ It Dirty ft. illEvan (Still Evan)” gave Bersurke the idea to add Still Evan to the Supreme Corpse Records roster. From there, Bersurke, Daddio Smoov, and Still Evan went on to form Ill Supreme - a trio that would prove to be a force to be reckoned with. Their self-titled debut project went on to gain the acclaim of local artists and fans alike. Following a few singles, Bersurke released his first solo project “He’s Gonna Puke!” in 2017, featuring production from the one and only Johnny Slash on 3 of the tracks. It was at this point Bersurke’s outlandish and vivid style began to shine on songs like “Kin to the Devil”. In 2018, Ill Supreme released “Ill Supreme 2”. This was one week before Ill Supreme embarked on 22 date tour opening for Apathy and Celph Titled, performing sold out venues across the Northeast and Midwest. He returned with a renewed passion that drove him to create even harder, more refined music. He unleashed a string of singles in 2018-19, and EP “Tricks Are for Kids” in 2020. Shortly thereafter, he signed underground enigma Wes Nihil to Supreme Corpse Records and produced Wes’ EP “The Wes Side Story”. He also lent a verse on the title track of the project, which it’s music video gained thousands of views across YouTube and Facebook. The song gained so much traction in-fact, that NJ brewery Kardinal Brewing decided to name a limited edition pale ale “Peeper of the Theory” after the song. As a Producer, He has Produced songs for both local rappers in the Boston/New Hampshire scene & legendary underground acts such as Cody Pope, Wes NiHil, ILL Supreme, Pacewon, Danny Diablo AKA lord Ezec, Mars and many more. Even in quarantine, Bersurke’s ambition did not falter. In the Fall of 2020, he released his next full length LP “Multiple Disturbances”, a truly disturbing masterpiece featuring Daddio Smoov, Still Evan, Lo Wav, Cody Pope, Tru Klassick, Wes Nihil, 8-Bza and Johnny Slash. As we enter the present, Bersurke continues to steer Supreme Corpse Records toward becoming the next indie record label to watch. Supreme Corpse Records released the album “Nothing Changed but the Name” by Still Evan, Still’s first project since changing his rap moniker, capturing the ears of playlist curators and thousands of listeners. Bersurke will return in late March of 2021 with he and Smoov’s first single of the year “Painful Veins”, which is sure to set the bar even higher once again. Stay tapped in to the sickest motherf***er on earth, Mister Bersurke!

Goritz made his debut in 1895 as Matteo in "Fra Diavolo" at the Court Theatre in Neustrelitz, Mecklenburg. He later sang in Breslau and Hamburg. Goritz then received a contract with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, where he performed in 25 operas (mostly German, 1 Italian) between 1903 and 1917, including the leading Wagnerian baritone roles. His greatest success was as Beckmesser in Wagner's "Meistersinger." When the United States joined World War I, the opera stopped performing its German repertory. Goritz was forced to resign, not least because of a rumor that he had sung a parodic song on the sinking of the RMS "Lusitania" at a private party on New Year's Eve 1916. He remained, however, in the United States. In 1919, after the war had ended, Goritz founded the Star Opera Company. The company tried to perform at the Lexington Opera House in German, but a riot on opening night and protests by the American Legion forced it to disband. In 1920 Goritz returned to Hamburg (1921/22), where he continued to sing at the State Opera House and later at the Grosse Volksoper in Berlin (1922–1925).

Search Add 7 Ривущие Струны Roaeing Strings (Ривущие Струны, sometimes stylized as RИVUЩИЕ STRUNЫ) is a Russian experimental noise-rock band, formed in 2006 by Vova Terekh, Lyosha Bortnichuk and Raf Badretdinov. Strings are playing noisy and energetic songs with provocative bastardized lyrics, inspired by the 60s psychedelia, garage rock and classic Detroit bands like [a=MC5], [a=The Stooges], etc. The sound and artistic image is based on the composite character of an underground Soviet punk band of the 1980s, banned and repressed by the authorities. Terekh started playing punk at the end of the 1980s when he formed Khlam in Bryansk. Search Add 7 Canadian Bush Party Proud Canadian Punk. Bio (taken from website): Sheppy Fortrell, (lead singer and guitar owner) and Jimi Payne (crappy backup vocals and bass) make up Canadian Bush Party. Since 1977 CBP has been churning out album after album. Sheppy (formerly front man for Uncaged Primates) was in line to claim his UI check when the guy in front of him started yelling at the person behind the counter. In the verbal tirade of insults the guy was hurling, Sheppy overheard the phrase "a NAZI in moderation", and Mr Fortrell had to meet this guy. The man hurling the insults was Rev. Jimi Payne, bass player for the long defunct band Parade of Ninjas. Splitting a couple of beers, the two visionaries formed Canadian Bush Party and MODO Records. They were soon joined by Bucky Lopez, ace drumer for Cockfight and keeper of the CBP mobile. Bucky was the driving force behind such hits as Doin' Farrah Fawcett in the closet and I'm naked (Why arnt you?). Sheppy hails from Esquimault and loves Peach Daiquiris. Bucky was originally from Placentia Newfoundland, but his family soon moved to BC for political reasons. Jimi is from Fort St. John and hates to be reminded of it.

Search Add 7 Big Bad Baz Barry Christie BigBadBaz (born Barry Christie on 3rd September 1983) is an English born dance music producer. Barry was born in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear but spent most of his life living in Northamptonshire. Inspired by the work of sampling artists such as Fatboy Slim and The Prodigy, Barry started to make sample based dance music in the late 90s. Continuing to produce music under the pseudonym BigBadBaz (a name suggested by friends as a moniker) he released his first productions on vinyl in September 2002. Barry's continued use of samples became less derivative in 2002 and 2003 with more and more internet only releases using larger samples from tracks akin with the Mash up scene that was growing at the time. This similarity brought Barry's music some publicity and found his music being championed by Radio stations across the world, cashing in the fad of mixing one or more popular songs together. Continuing on with the same style of music that brought about Call On Me, BigBadBaz released a white label album Generic Prydz. The name was a light-hearted poke at the amount of copycat songs that were filling the dance floor in 2005. Calling America and So Many Nights on that album began getting some radio play so in 2006 these were picked up by Prank Monkey Records and given a vinyl only release. "So Many Nights" (even though technically a B-Side) began getting some airplay and was picked up by Radio 1 DJ's .

Metterle immigrated to the United States in 1906 and served in the US Army between April 30, 1918 and February 20, 1919, rising to Musician 3rd Class and playing the sousaphone in a Coast Guard band. During basic training in the 152nd Depot Brigade, one of his fellow buglers was Irving Berlin, and Metterle liked to tell the story that Berlin's famous song "Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning" (1918) was inspired by their group practicing the call to reveille. Led German bands in New York City between the 1910s and 1940s. In 1933, Metterle opened the Old Seidelburg restaurant on 626 Third Avenue, between 40th & 41st Streets, in New York City, which was described as a favorite dining and drinking spot for notables and newspapermen.
