Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Língua Solta Black Bra - Loose Tongue With 40 years of activity, Língua Solta is possibly the oldest rock band in Goiânia. Founded in the 1973, in the mid-1970s the group moved to a farm on the outskirts of the city, owned by the family of singer Léo Jaime – then drummer of the group, importing the ideal of Californian hippie communes to the Brazilian cerrado. In 1982 the band moved to Rio de Janeiro and two years later released the compact Sutiã Negro, the first rock album from Goiás. In addition to the title track, the album featured “Ondas” (with the participation of the original guitarist of the band Black Rio, Cláudio Stevenson), which would soon gain a captive place in Rádio Fluminense’s programming, accrediting the group to share the stage with stars of the time, such as Urban Legion and Rude Plebe. But Sutiã Negro denies the 80s spirit and abstains from the technological wonder that haunted much of the national production at the time, dispensing with BRock and new wave to redesign classic rock with funky groove, melodious guitars and nonsense lyrics.

Search Add 2 Lions Quartette Of Seattle The Enchanters were founded as the Seattle Lions Club Quartette, presumably in the mid 1920s. Its members were Marshall Sohl (first tenor), Elmore Bostwick (second tenor), Rudolph Allen (first bass), and Cecil Remington (second base). The group performed at Lions Club functions, at venues throughout Washington state, and toured in California. In 1928, the quartet recorded "Deep River" and "Moanin' Lady" for the Columbia Record Company, becoming the first Lions Club quartet to be recorded professionally. By 1929, the group had changed its name to the Enchanters. The quartet performed regularly on radio station KJR in Seattle, Washington and developed a following of fans who enjoyed their old time Southern repertoire of spirituals and minstrel songs. Other broadcasters carried the Enchanters Quartet's programs, enabling listeners throughout the Pacific Northwest, Western Canada, and beyond to hear their music.

The family hailed from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. His elder brother Tularam was a Tabla player. Nathu Buwa came to Amravati when he was 8-years old. He was called as ‘Nathu Buwa Amravatikar’ or ‘Nathu Buwa Tawde’. He started learning music with Namdev Buwa Amravatikar who in turn was a disciple of Ustad Maula Baksh of Baroda state. Nathu Buwa had a high pitched, sonorous and flexible voice. Upon Namdev Buwa’s demise in 1926, Nathu Buwa started ‘Namdev Buwa Prasadik Gayan Samaj’, a music school in the memory of his Guru, in Amaravati. Around 1932, he came to Mumbai and joined ‘Yashvant Sangeet Natak Mandali’ of Shankar Rao Sarnaik. He acted in a few plays. But soon left the theater company. During 1932 to 1935, he was a regular broadcaster on Bombay Radio. He started a music school in Charni road area of Mumbai called ‘Aryan Music College’. But he left Mumbai for concert tours, with giving charge of this music school to his nephew, Dattoba Tawde. Dattoba ran this music school for many years, but with the name ‘Adarsh Sangeet Vidyalaya’. Nathu Buwa used to visit Ujjain, Indore, Aheri state, Parva state for yearly concerts on some special occasions. Around 1935-36, Nathu Buwa left Mumbai for concerts and returned to Amaravati. Soon after that, he shifted to Nagpur. He started ‘National Music College’, a music school situated at Aluwala building in Sitabardi area of Nagpur. He published a book ‘Sangeet Sadhana’ in 1944. His major disciples in the Vidarbha were Dattoba Tawde (nephew), Prahlad Kolhapure, Namdev Varekar, Mahadev Patil, Gajanan Kothekar, Madhusudan Tamhankar. Nathu Buwa suffered from Pyorrhea and was admitted to Mayo Hospital in Nagpur, where he passed away in 1944. He has cut 78 rpm shellac records on Broadcast & Columbia labels around 1937-1940 References: 1. Mangarulkar, N. R. (1976). Vaidarbhiya Sangeetkar – Part 2. Vijaya Mangarulkar, Nagpur. 2. Search Add 2 Brunnsbo Musikklasser Swedish children choir from [l3469396] in Gothenburg. The choir was started in 1985 under the leadership of [a4417204] and [a6582872] as the first music classes in Gothenburg. Until 2012 and 2015 respectively, they were responsible for the choir. Current choir directors for Brunnsbo music classes are [a7739189] and Kicki Rosén Bejstam (Eva Kristina Rosén Bejstam, born on May 6, 1965). The music classes at Brunnsbo have music lessons and choral singing on the schedule approximately five times a week. The students apply for a place in the music class in the autumn semester in year 3 and take a singing test in front of the music teachers. In year 4, students then start in music class and go there up to and including year 9. Brunnsbo music classes give concerts and other performances every year and have, among other things, participated in Jultrad-i-ton at the Gothenburg Opera, the Leve klotet gala (2008) and Marching for life at Scandinavium, Bingolotto and visited Riksdagshuset. Every year, all the music classes at Brunnsbo participate together in at least two concerts, the Christmas and Lucia concert in Johanneberg church and the spring concert in Gothenburg's concert hall. Every year there are always two different autumn concerts in the school hall and in the spring it has usually been a drama concert at Artisten where they collaborated with [a3669682] and [a3505730]. Every year around Lucia, most of the classes are also around on the Lucia train all over Gothenburg. Brunnsbo music classes make a total of over 100 performances per year and make concert trips to England and Italy, among others. Exchanges with other choirs and music classes also take place at regular intervals.
