Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Rose Land | Eric Apollinari | RoseLand, a one-man band from Annecy, in the french Alps, was born in 2005 with an eponymous home-made debut album. The first official album "Maladivine" was self-produced in late 2007. Thanks to the Myspace network, Maladivine drew the attention of various reviewers from webzines and fanzines (Obsküre, Brokendolls, Sentinels of Time, Mick Mercer Live Journal...). "Au Mont des Soupirs", released in early 2011, is a 14-track voyage within imaginary landscapes, personal dreams, melancholic memories... Produced by the french label Frozen Wing records, this album kept drawing attention of reviewers : it was selected among the top-thirty albums in 2011 by the english famous author and radio animator Mick Mercer, reviewed by the US website Heathen Harvest (rating 5/5) and in quite a few magazines and webzines in France, Europe and further. After two appearances in french compilations (in particular "D'Eux" from Fatal Object), a new album, "La Vie est Ailleurs", is released in spring 2015. This self-produced album has again received favorable reviews and interviews, especially from the well-known Obsküre magazine, the main french reference in dark music and culture (rating 76 % and selected as "independent of the trimester" in september 2015). The project name became in 2015 'RoseLand' in one word... Just a few quotes.. From the german website Naturmacht about RoseLand : "Dreamy and melancholic music from another world. RoseLand makes us explore wonderful landscapes created of piano parts, synths, strings and whispers. A journey beyond the eternal horizon..." From Heathen Harvest american website: "Imagine a vast world...sweeping vistas, misty mountains, and the view through a lens of perfected mind's eye. The sun greets the clouds of days long past, blending the darkness and light as one entity. True time has no hold here, for all is timeless. Close your eyes and see the days, the months, the years. See them in the eye of the mountains, see them in all their ageless allure. Now, put a soundtrack to your visions. Better yet, let Rose Land do it. It has been a long time since an album has affected me as such. I simply closed my eyes and tried to take all the beauty in at once. I couldn't" From Mick Mercer's Live Journal: "Rose Land's music is just sensitive beauty. Modest magnificence !" From the french magazine Obsküre "La Vie est Ailleurs, dont les intimes échos font quitter le temps" "Peu de choses et l'irradiation du beau..." |

Search | Add | 3 | Mynis | Matty G. - Drums Jason B. - Bass Guitar Rob G. - Guitar Thomas V. - Vocals/Percussion Mynis is a four piece progressive hard rock band formed in 1998 in the central California city of Fresno. Mynis is made up of Matty Gonzales on Drums, Robert Gonzalez on Guitar, Jason Benham on bass, and Tom Vlahavas on vocals/percussion. Mynis, whose style goes beyond any genre, has developed many loyal and devoted fans all over the country. They have survived many scenes and shared the stage with many diverse and different styles of music from heavy metal, to hardcore, to punk and anything else you can imagine. Hitting early gigs on Warped Tour 2000, 2001 and also playing many big local events sponsored by Fresno radio stations such as New Rock 104 and 103.7 KRZR led them to great success early on. This success helped launch them into a very productive and eventful career which continues on today. Since their formation in the late 90's they have shared the stage with such acts as Weezer, 311, Alien Ant Farm, Zebra Head, Pennywise and many, many more. Playing with such acts and doing extensive touring throughout California helped them catch the ear of high profile producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (known for her work with Tool, System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince). They recorded their first full length album during the winter of 2003 with Sylvia and release it through independent label 5k records. This album helped launch them into full west coast touring and nation wide recognition. Their single "Bye Tomorrow" entered heavy rotation on local channel 103.7 KRZR and many other stations across the country in Texas, Ohio, New York, Nevada and Arizona, just to mention a few. Mynis, whose live show has left many stunned, keep hard at work writing and recording and are ready to dive into the next level of their career. With positive attitudes and a drive that won't quit, Mynis continues to tour and catch the ear of many. Their willingness to succeed is only superseded by their unmatched original sound. The Mynis website still receives hundreds of hits daily. After selling more then 20,000 records with little promotion other than touring, some radio exposure and word of mouth alone, the band continues to thrive and grow in popularity. Give them a listen! You won't be disappointed. Go see a live show and you will never be the same! Let’s bring it!

Search | Add | 3 | WhiteFlag Project | An appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival is usually a special moment in the life of any band. But when you are a group of musicians from Israel and the Palestinian territories who haven’t seen, let alone played with each other for five years then it takes on an even deeper significance. White Flag, a mix of five Israelis and four Palestinians, are a "band in exile". After forming in 1999 they played around 20 gigs in Israel before the outbreak of the second intifada the following year scattered members to the four winds. A couple ended up in the United States, one came to Switzerland, while two others were trapped in the Gaza Strip. But five years on, thanks to the dogged persistence of a Swiss television editor and the pulling of several diplomatic strings, the band have reunited in Switzerland. "This is our first meeting in five years, since the start of the second intifada," band member Zaher Abdu Aljawad told swissinfo. "I never thought we would meet again – and when we did it was magical, like a dream." The band arrived in Lucerne at the beginning of May following an invitation from the city’s mayor Urs Studer, and this week they played two nights at Montreux. During their stay in Switzerland they have recorded their first CD, entitled: White Flag – a Band in Exile. But the whole project, which has been financed by the city of Lucerne plus various Swiss and international foundations, has not been without its problems. "It was really difficult getting them together for two reasons," said Urban Frye, who works as an editor and producer in the music department at Swiss-German television. "The first is that every time you mention the word 'Palestinian’, people are immediately suspicious about giving a visa. In the end I rang the mayor of Lucerne, who is an old friend, and he came up with the idea of inviting the whole band which opened a lot of doors. "The second is that two of the musicians come from the Gaza Strip and they were afraid of what might happen to their families once it got out that they were being paid to travel to Switzerland to play with Israeli musicians. I had to put pressure on the Swiss mission in Ramallah to contact the Palestinian minister for culture to get official approval." The politics of the Middle East are never far away from the band. When swissinfo turned up in Montreux, percussionist Katja Cooper and vocalist Yasin Almallahi were discussing Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza, which is scheduled to take place next month. There has even been talk that the band and their Middle East street-fusion sound could become a musical face for the peace process – an example of Israelis and Palestinians living and playing together side by side. Switzerland, which helped to launch an unofficial peace accord for the Middle East known as the Geneva Initiative in December 2003, has been providing "logistical and organisational support" for the band. But Ivo Sieber, a spokesman for the Swiss foreign ministry, insisted that it was up to Israeli and Palestinian partners to decide whether White Flag could play a role in promoting the accord. While the band go to great pains to stress that they are first and foremost a group of artists who just want to play music, they are fully aware of the growing interest from outside parties. "As long as we can play the music the way we want to play it and don’t have to shout politics, it would be nice to represent the Palestinians and the Israelis," said Cooper, who now lives in San Francisco. "We’re an example of what’s possible – that your nationality and ethnic background don’t matter. There are so many things that people have in common and it’s just getting distorted by politics and who owns what land. The world doesn’t have to be that complicated." The ultimate goal of the band is to be able to play together once again in Israel and if possible in the Palestinian territories. Frye believes the main obstacle to this lies with the Israeli Defence Force, which would have to authorise the Israeli musicians to enter the occupied territories and the Palestinians to travel in the opposite direction. Yasin, who left his newborn baby in Gaza to come to Switzerland, is undaunted. He subscribes to the view that "where there’s a will, there’s a way". "Peace has to come from both sides – Israeli and Palestinian – and there has to be will and understanding on both sides," he said. "If we succeed with our CD and our music and get a little more famous then it could become easier for us to travel around. There are people in the occupied territories and Israel who think what we’re doing is a good thing. "We are just musicians and we should be able to play anywhere. We shouldn’t be in exile."

Search | Add | 3 | Star City Meltdown | Brad Dills - Vocals Lukas Patterson - Guitar, Vocals Chris Stewart - Guitar Cody Cupp - Bass Todd Vesey - Drums Johnson City, TN With their explosive stage show, their uncompromising confidence, and a sound described as "Journey meets Avenged Sevenfold”, this 5 piece rock act from Johnson City, TN has been winning over audiences from Mississippi to Michigan. Produced by former Creed bassist Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Framing Hanley, Tantric), their debut album 'Stick in the Eye' (2009) was an impressive start to what is shaping up to be an energetic adventure into active rock history. The album and impending tour with Saliva gained the band a rabid underground fan base, and spurred independent sales beyond 2500 copies from live shows alone in the first 4 months of its release. After relentlessly touring the country, Star City Meltdown headed back to Florida in 2011, and back into Brett Hestla's studio to record their sophomore full length album. The album title changed from the original name, “Razorblades & Handgrenades”, to ‘Music=War’ after the band departed from their record label in mid-2012. ‘Music=War’ reflects on the constant battle the band faced just to get label support, a solid release date, and for the album to get to their fans in the form and fashion in which it was meant to be heard. Star City Meltdown decided to “soldier up”, after putting so much effort into a project that has gotten rave reviews from rock radio insiders, and they finally worked out an independent release date for ‘Music=War’, now set for Oct. 30, 2012. The first single,"Here's To Us!", is hitting rock radio nationwide, and constant touring is on the agenda for the remainder of the year and well into 2013. Star City Meltdown takes powerful, pop laced melodies and blends them with shredding guitars and bone thumping double bass drums, to form an active rock grenade of epic proportions. One listen to ‘Music=War’, and you’ll see that the band is poised for an all out assault on the active rock world!

In the 1990s she performed in the popular Celtic Jazz group Straight Ahead as well as the Indian world music group Dya Singh. She went on many tours throughout Australia and internationally, taking her to jazz, folk and other festivals throughout Asia, Europe and Canada. In 1997, she toured France and Spain with an Australian indigenous dance group as part of the Folkloric Festival de Pyrenees. In 1998 she received a Canberra critics award as a member of Straight Ahead. In the late 90’s, she turned to her long time love of Brazilian music, forming a Brazilian jazz trio jazz guitarist Stephen J Scott. This led to performances at the Brazilian Embassy in Canberra and in Brazil, performing and teaching jazz flute workshops in the northern state of Alagoas. In Rio de Janeiro she recorded an album Espirito Do Brasil with local Brazilian musicians followed by performances at the Thredbo Jazz Festival and Sydney’s Manly International Jazz Festival. In 2001, Cicilia travelled to the Middle East to work as a music teacher and later as a resident musician in several five star Hotels in Bahrain and Kuwait. In the mid 2000’s, Cicilia began performing with Alma Latin Voices and Rhythms directed by Chilean-Australian Marisol Pacheco. The choir performed in Cuba in 2005 at the annual Festival de Santiago. Most recently, Cicilia Kemezys has been living in Canberra, performing in both jazz and folk genres. She helped formed a group called PACHAMAMA with two Chilean born musician singers, Marisol Pacheco and Jorge Bontes, and longtime friend Tony Hunter (mandolin/ Bouzouki). They were scheduled to perform at Australia’s National Folk Festival at Easter in 2020 until the Covid-19 virus pandemic brought everything to halt.

Search | Add | 3 | Motèl Mari | Motèl Mari are João Orecchia, Mpumelelo Mcata and Tshepang Ramoba. Shortly after landing in Johannesburg in 2004, Orecchia, a Brooklyn born and schooled wanderer, who wound up in Berlin as a teenager messing with experi- mental punk before moving years later to South Africa, heard some talk about a psychedelic afro-rock outfit called BLK JKS. They became fast friends and have been working together on projects ever since. Mpumi and Tshepang (guitar and drums respectively) contributed to João's 2009 album, Hands & Feet, and would often join him on stage, adding thunderous beats and general bigness to the otherwise textural and floating soundscapes. Slowly they started becoming a band.
