Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Desmonia | Desmonia is a Heavy Metal/Power Metal band from Lund/Sweden, part of the greater Copenhagen region. The band was formed in 2016 by Paul Holmfrid. The band is influenced by Heavy Metal music from the 80's like Judas Priest, Michael Schenker and U.D.O/Accept. The musical influences from the 80's are mixed with a more modern metal sound inspired by bands like Arch Enemy, Rammstein, Five Finger Death Punch and Amon Amarth. Desmonias songs are typically in a slow tempo with a melodic touch of traditional nordic music combined with bombastic chorus choirs, the sound is made up of a wall of heavy guitars and the rusty leadsong of Paul Holmfrid backed up by Paul Eriksson. In the studio, Desmonia is a duo consisting of Paul Holmfrid and Paul Eriksson, for live appearances additional live musicians are added to the lineup.

Search | Add | 2 | Giuseppe Casciaro | Giuseppe Casciaro (March 9, 1861 in Ortelle, Province of Lecce, Region of Apulia – October 25, 1941 in Naples) was an Italian painter, active mainly in Naples. Orphaned at the age of twelve, he was raised by a paternal uncle, a priest. He was schooled in lyceum gymansium of Maglie, where his uncle hoped he would start studies towards a career in medicine. However, there he was first instructed in art by Paolo Emilio Stasi, who aided him in enrolling in the Neapolitan Academy of Fine Arts under Morelli and Palizzi. His uncle initially thought Giuseppe was in Naples attending the university, and upon learning of his deception, ceased his support of the young man. At the Academy, Francesco Paolo Michetti, from whom he learned to paint landscapes in pastels. Much of his life was painting landscapes of the shoreline and of his native Ortelle. At the end of the century, he travelled to Paris, where he met Giuseppe De Nittis and his circle. He gained a nomination to be professor at the Institute of Fine Arts of Urbino. He often visited and tutored members of the Royal House of Savoy about pastel painting. His works were exhibited throughout Europe and Argentina.

Search | Add | 2 | Eli Chalmer | Eli Chalmer | Eli Chalmer is a freelance trombonist, band-leader, electronic musician, and composer, based out of Brooklyn, New York. Born and raised in Vermont, he fell in love with the trombone when he was 10 years old, after he saw that it was the only brass instrument “without buttons”. His talent was nurtured by the art-friendly Green Mountain State, where he became a soloist and principal trombone in the Vermont Youth Orchestra, and won the All-State scholarship competition for Classical, Jazz, and Composition all in the same year. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Orchestral Trombone Performance from McGill University, studying under the Montreal Symphony Orchestra’s principal trombonist, James Box. Of his many classical performances, he has played with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Empire State Sinfonia, the New York Theater Workshop, and Lyric Theater Company. Alongside his training in classical music, he has easily segued into a wide variety of genres, including Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, Pop, Musical Theater, Indie Rock, and Electronica. In the studio, he has recorded on tracks that feature such notable artists as Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Talib Kweli, Melanie Fiona, Vernon Reid, and Anais Mitchell. On stage he has performed across the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK, and alongside artists such as Mike Clarke, Anais Mitchell, Everett Bradley, Arturo O'Farrill Latin Jazz Orchestra, Rachel York, Sean Hayes, Tao Nguyen, Deekline, Slavic Soul Party, and High and Mighty Brass Band. In addition to studio and freelance trombone work, he is also an accomplished band-leader. His Montreal-based Nu-Jazz group, Panacea, toured across Canada and the United States, and also was featured on radio and print in Europe. Currently, he leads the Brooklyn-based Electro-Jazz outfit Durians. Durians has released three albums, was just signed to international record label Bit Normal Records in May, 2016, and has performed a tour of UK and Europe in June, 2016. His playing has been described by the press as follows: -"After two minutes at a feverish level, Chalmer floats in with a caressing freefall of smooth swells from his trombone... When they explode into these funkadelic trips, Chalmer's brass trombone sweats and his ballooned cheeks squeeze into the bristling four-way encounters of strings, skins, brass, and keys." - The Concordia, Montreal, Canada -"Every band member perceptibly felt the music he created" - McGill Tribune, Montreal, Canada -"Eli Chalmer coaxes round, warm tones... ...crystalline chimes dance against a swelling backdrop of synth, pirouetting with Chalmer's lithe trombone. It's a soothing sonic bubble bath, Epsom salts for the ears." - Seven Days, Burlington, VT |

Search | Add | 2 | Palma il Vecchio | Palma Vecchio | Palma il Vecchio (c. 1480 – July 1528), born Jacopo Palma or known as Jacopo Negretti, was an Italian painter of the Venetian school born at Serina Alta near Bergamo. He is called Palma Vecchio in English ("Old Palma" in Italian Palma il Vecchio) to distinguish him from Palma Giovane, his great-nephew. When Palma arrived in Venice early in the 16th century, he reputedly was a companion and competitor of Lorenzo Lotto, and to some extent a pupil of Titian. He may also have taught Bonifazio Pitati and influenced Giovanni Busi. Palma's earlier works betray the influence of Giovanni Bellini. |

Search | Add | 2 | Kortney Leatherwood | Kortney Leatherwood plays guitar. And drums and guitar. And he sings and plays guitar. He plays beautiful keyboards and did I mention guitar? But in this band he plays bass. He can do this because he's a True Musician. And True Musicians can play whatever the hell's lying around and make it sound like music. Good music. He's also got Musical Pride. This is important, because unlike guitar players and singers, bass players are not allowed to fuck up. Ever. So while Kortney would probably rather be playing guitar, he's the guy in the band who has enough musical pride to play the instrument that Holds It All Together. Kortney also puts ketchup on his eggs.

Search | Add | 2 | Carmen Alessandrello | Carmen has in her voice the fire of her south, she was born in Comiso (Ragusa) in 1994. Uneasy and multi-faceted, always looking for an experience, in life as in music she seeks an authentic and profound spirituality, beyond religions and labels. True natural talent, she began singing very young, taking as a model the singing power of Whitney Houston and the veracity of Domenico Modugno; she prefers soul, blues and contemporary jazz. She also loves the Italian 60s and melodic rock but is particularly attracted by the "black music" which takes as an example for freedom and expressive instinct. In 2016 she took part in the selections of "The Voice", collaborated with the dance company Nu'Art, won Area Sanremo by participating in the program "Will Sanremo" live on Rai1 and began an important collaboration with Carlo Marrale, author and founder of Matia Bazaar. Her first album entitled "At the center of a cloud" was released in summer 2017

Search | Add | 2 | Black Burst Sound Generator | Brigitta Bödenauer and Susanna Gartmayer started their collaboration – Black Burst Sound Generator – in 2012. In their performances, they work with the exact interplay of microphoned contra alto clarinet and electronic sounds. Over the last years, they have developed an unique program that plays musically with elements of Electro, IDM, Field Recordings, Industrial, Drone, Dark Ambient, and the multiphonic possibilities of the contra-alto clarinet. Reduced beats, abstract sounds and slowly developing structures are combined into a precise dramaturgy. With inquiring minds, precision and persistence, the two musicians Brigitta Bödenauer and Susanna Gartmayer engage in their search for ever new sounds and musical approaches. While Bödenauer works as an experimental film maker and installation artist, Gartmayer studied painting and printmaking, two highly visual approaches to music. Their duo project is characterized by a shared interest in polyrhythmic structures and their pleasure in playing with their stage appearance. In every performance, Gartmayer and Bödenauer take on a new role, one which also demands a new mode of playing.
